In Washington, I'm Korva Coleman. The federal government has sent more than 3,000 federal immigration agents to Minneapolis and St. Paul. The Trump administration says it's doing immigration operations, but protests are growing over their tactics. President Trump is threatening to invoke the Insurrection Act. In Minnesota, Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado has given her Nobel Peace Prize medal to President Trump. The move has been opposed by the Nobel Committee. NPR's Danielle Kurtzleben reports. The two met yesterday at the White House.

In a social media post, Trump wrote, quote, maria presented me with her Nobel Peace Prize for the work I have done. Such a wonderful gesture of mutual respect. Trump has openly coveted the prize and last week expressed anger that President Obama won it. Machado won the prize for leading opposition to former authoritarian President Nicolas Maduro, whom the Trump administration has deposed. Though Machado has heaped praise upon Trump, he said he didn't think she could rule the country. Maduro's vice president, Delsey Rodriguez, is now acting president. The Nobel committee said in an earlier statement that a prize cannot be revoked, shared or transferred. Danielle Kurtzleben, NPR News.

A bipartisan group of US Lawmakers is in Denmark today. They're meeting with Danish and Greenlandic leaders. This comes as President Trump insists the US Needs to take over Greenland. New Hampshire Democratic Senator Jean Shaheen Gape remarks today at Copenhagen University.
D (1:45)
I'm here today because millions of Americans are deeply concerned about the recent rhetoric of the United States taking over Greenland, either buying it or using military force.
B (1:57)
Polls show that by an overwhelming margin, neither Greenlanders nor Danes want the US to do that. Some European nations have moved some of their troops to Greenland for military exercises. The health care priorities that President Trump outlined this week do not include a repeal of the Affordable Care act. But as NPR's Lena Simmons Duffin reports, one key idea could seriously weaken those health insurance marketplaces.

A fact sheet about Trump's health care plan says it would, quote, execute the president's vision to send money directly to the American people. Cynthia Cox of the nonpartisan health research organization KFF says the details are sparse.
