In Washington, I'm Ryland Barton. An NPR PBS News Marist poll shows President Trump's immigration enforcement tactics are widely unpopular. And as NPR's Domenico Montanaro reports, his.
Domenico Montanaro
Overall approval rating is just 39% say they approve of the job that Trump's doing overall. And it's been below 40% in our poll since November. I mean, just 36% approve of how he's handling foreign policy and the economy. It's a really difficult spot for any president. And what really jumps out here, though? 51% say they strongly disapprove of the job that Trump is doing. That's tied for the worst score in the decade that Marist has been asking about strong approval and disapproval. The last time it was this high or this bad for Trump was in the days after the January 6, 2020 attack on the Capitol.

NPR's Domenico Monaro reporting. Trump Rx, the website the president says will help Americans save money on prescription drugs, is now live. NPR's Sydney Lupkin reports. It includes 43 brand name drugs available at a discount.
Sydney Lupkin
Trump rx.gov launched Thursday with discounts on several dozen brand name drugs. The Savings range from 33% off ulcerative colitis and psoriasis pill Zeljan to 93% off IVF drug cetrotide. Patients can search the website for drugs and get coupons redeemable for discounts at pharmacies. Other discounts are available through drug makers. Patients have to pay cash and agreed not to seek insurance reimbursement for out of pocket costs or count them toward a deductible drug. Policy experts have said it's unclear how many people will benefit from Trump Rx. However, for people with insurance, co pays are likely to be cheaper than the cash prices and some of the drugs are already available as inexpensive generics. Sidney Lupkin, NPR News.

Talks between Ukraine, Russia and the US Wrapped up in Abu Dhabi with progress in some areas. NPR's Eleanor Beardsley reports.

Russia and Ukraine will each release 157 prisoners of war, the first exchange in five months. And the U.S. and Russia agreed to re establish military to military dialogue, but there was nothing concrete about ending the war. Ukrainian Nobel Peace Prize winner Oleksandr Matvechuk says the flurry of meetings gives the impression there's a path to peace, but on the ground, President Trump's first year has been deadly for Ukrainians.
Oleksandr Matvechuk
The number of killed and wounded has surged 31% higher than in previous year.
Eleanor Beardsley
She says these talks are missing a human dimension, as if territories are empty spaces while Putin continues to do what he wants to Ukrainian civilians. US Special envoy Steve Witkoff called the talks constructive and said they would meet again in the coming weeks. Eleanor Beardsley, NPR News.

Cave more drops for tech stocks sank the US market lower today. The S&P 500 and Dow both fell 1.2%. You are listening to NPR News from Washington. Pizza Hut plans to close 250 restaurants in the US as its parent company considers a sale of the chain. Kentucky based Yum Brand says it's targeting underperforming Pizza Huts in its system. Pizza Hut has more than 6,000 U.S. locations. Growth has been stronger internationally where pizza hut sales rose 1%. China is Pizza Hut's second largest market after the US A scheduled Olympic hockey game has been posted postponed due to an outbreak of norovirus. As NPR's Ping Huang reports, sports officials are trying to keep their athletes healthy before events.
Ping Huang
A preliminary women's hockey match between Finland and Canada got pushed back a week after players on Team Finland caught norovirus. It's a highly contagious virus, the culprit behind most cases of food poisoning, and it causes vomiting, diarrhea and dehydration. Most people get better in a few days. Respiratory viruses and stomach bugs are common but can seriously hamper the performance of athletes who have been training for for a very time specific event. Sports officials say they have protocols at the Olympic Village to help mitigate outbreaks such as on site testing and restrictions on who can enter athletes rooms. Some teams have opted for more precautions. U.S. cross country skiers wore masks at their Olympic press conference and are not staying at the Olympic Village. Ping Huang, NPR News.
