Former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton have agreed to testify as part of a congressional investigation into late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. NPR's Elena Moore reports. The Clintons are sparring with Republican lawmakers over how they will testify and whether it will be public.

The Clintons agreed earlier this week to testify, but there's been a war of words since then. In a statement on X, Hillary Clinton lobbies for their upcoming testimonies to be public instead of videotaped, arguing for transparency and claiming that despite the Clintons engaging in good faith with investigators, Republicans have quot moved the goalposts and turned accountability into an exercise in distraction. In response, the House Oversight Committee accuses the two prominent Democrats of trying to spin the facts, pointing to email exchanges in which the Clintons lawyers initially agreed to the terms. It's called trumprx.gov Consumers can search it for discounts on some limited medications, but they have to pay in cash to get these instead of using their health insurance. Drug policy experts suggest if people use insurance, the copays are probably cheaper than the cash prices on the new website. There was a special primary election yesterday in a single congressional district in New Jersey. Candidates are looking to fill an open house seat. With 91% of the vote counted, progressive activist Analia Mejia led the presumed frontrunner, Tom Malinowski, by less than 500 votes. It's estimated that some 6,000 ballots remain to be counted. Malinowski, considered the establishment candidate as a former two term congressman from a neighboring district. Melia had the backing of the party's liberal stalwarts, including Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders and New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio Cortez. The winner will face a Republican candidate backed by President Trump in a special election in April. Malinowski and Mejia are vying to succeed Democrat Mikey Sherrill, who won New Jersey's gubernatorial race in November. For NPR News, I'm Bruce Kahnfiser In.
