O.com live from NPR News. In Washington, I'm Dan Ronnan. A federal judge in Minneapolis says the Department of Homeland Security has until Thursday to show that immigration detainees have regular access to attorneys in custody. Matt Sipic of Minnesota Public Radio has more.

A woman seeking asylum alleges immigration agents detained her and would not let her talk to a lawyer. She's since been freed, but her attorney says DHS continues to violate the rights of many others. A Justice Department lawyer says detainees get unlimited attorney phone calls, but she did not show evidence. Judge Nancy Brazel promised to rule Thursday if the two sides don't reach a deal.

President Trump has signed an executive order increasing beef imports from Argentina. NPR's Fr. Franco Ordonez reports Trump made the deal despite opposition from the agricultural industry.

In his order, Trump blames high prices on severe and ongoing weather conditions that have hampered livestock producers in beef producing states such as Texas and Kansas. He says those factors, among others, have cumulatively resulted in higher beef prices for US Consumers. The price of beef has reached record high levels as the US Cattle supply tightens to its lowest level in decades. The Trump administration describes move as part of the president's effort to bring down grocery prices, but it's also facing political pushback from some Republicans who say the policy will hurt the US Agricultural industry. The White House Wall street closed higher Friday with the Dow Jones finishing above 50,000 for the first time in history. The Nasdaq and the S and P also posted gains. A New York nonprofit is suing the Trump administration for alleged free speech viol, as NPR's Bobby Allen reports. NewsGuard claims that Trump officials have targeted the organization over its research about conservative media.

News Guard rates news organizations based on the outlet's reliability after it gave low marks to right wing outlets Newsmax and One America News. The Federal Trade Commission cracked down. The nonprofit compares this to the witch hunts of the McCarthy era. While the company has given low marks to both left leaning and right leaning partisan outlets, Trump officials say the group is part of a liberal, quote, censorship cartel. The FTC didn't respond to a request for comment. NewsGuard's free speech lawsuit is the latest legal battle accusing the Trump administration of weaponizing the federal government against speech. A federal judge Friday ruled the construction on the $16 billion Gateway Tunnel Project in New York and New Jersey may resume this after the Trump administration blocked the infrastructure project. The Trump administration froze the money after it said it was reviewing DEI policies. The transportation companies that received federal funds from Washington. You're listening to NPR News. Coca Cola, the parent company of Minute Maid Orange juice, says it's ending in April the production and sale of its frozen concentrated orange juice, which has been available in stores since the end of World War II. Minutemade says it wants to focus on fresh fruit juices that it says customers now prefer. South Carolina's measles outbreak has NOW surged to 920 cases. It's the largest outbreak the U.S. has seen in decades. As NPR's Marie Godoy reports, public health officials say they've seen an encouraging rise in vaccinations in that state.

Public health officials on Friday reported 44 new measles cases since Tuesday. 277 people are currently in quarantine. Health officials stress that vaccination is the best way to protect against measles and will be key to ending this outbreak. State epidemiologist Linda Bell told reporters this week vaccinations were up dramatically in January compared to last year in Spartanburg county, which is the epicenter of the outbreak.
