Negotiations remain focused on its nuclear program, which it says is for peaceful purposes. International regulators say they have not seen evidence Iran is building a bomb, but the US Continues to accuse Iran of trying to build one. The Trump administration has made clearer that what it really wants is regime change. In addition to a military buildup backing threats against Iran, it's using financial sanctions and currency manipulation. U.S. treasury Secretary Scott Besant said this week that the U.S. engineered a free fall of the Iranian currency that sparked protests in Iran in December. At least 5,000 people were believed killed, most of them protesters. Jane Araf, NPR News.

Aman an official investigation has found that TikTok is violating a European Union law because it's so addictive. NPR's John Ruich has more.

The European Commission, which is the executive arm of the EU, says features like TikTok's infinite scroll, autoplay and push notifications are in breach of the EU's Digital Services Act. It says those and other design features, quote, feature fuel the urge to keep scrolling and shift the brain of users into autopilot mode. That may lead to compulsive behavior and could harm the physical and mental well being of its users, including minors. It says TikTok disregarded important indicators of compulsive use and failed to implement reasonable, proportionate and effective measures to mitigate risks. TikTok says in a statement the findings are false and misleading and it'll challenge them. John Ruich, NPR News.

Following a public outcry, a Venezuelan family from Oregon has been released from federal custody after several weeks of detention. Alex Ogan reports.

When the Crespo Gonzalez family parked in the Adventist Healthcare center lot in Portland, Oregon, in January, immigration agents approached the father, pleaded to let the mom and 7 year old go get care for a concerning bloody nose. But instead, agents detained all three and took them to the Dilley Detention center south of San Antonio. They remained there for more than 20 days. Oregon Congresswoman Maxine Dexter escorted the family home Friday. In a statement, Dexter did not specify how or why the family, all asylum seekers, were permitted release from detention. The agency did not respond to questions about the family's case. For NPR News, I'm Alex Olgan.
