Live from NPR News in Washington, I'm Korva Coleman. The Federal Aviation Administration has reopened the airspace around El Paso, Texas. The FAA closed it overnight without warning and cited security reasons. The the El Paso airspace was supposed to be closed for 10 days, but Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy now says the US acted to address a cartel drone incursion. He says that's been neutralized. U.S. attorney General Pam Bondi is testifying before the House Judiciary Committee. She used her opening statement to condemn federal judges whom she says are impeding President Trump's work.

America has never seen this level of coordinated judicial opposition towards a presidential administration. It is not only an unlawful attack on the executive branch's authority, but a serious attack on the democratic process.

However, Bondi is expected to be questioned about her agency's bungled release of files about late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. President Trump welcomes Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the White House today. They're expected to discuss Iran. NPR's Franco Ordonez reports. This comes after Trump declared very good talks were happening with Iran about its nuclear program.

President Trump has repeatedly swung from threatening strikes to making a deal. Matthew Kroenig, who worked on the Iranian file at the Pentagon, says Netanyahu would prefer strikes but also wants to do what he can to influence any potential agreement.

President Trump is known for being unpredictable. He is known for liking deals, for being a peacemaker. And I think Netanyahu is worried that maybe in that rush for a deal that the president will agree to terms that harm Israel's security.

Authorities in western Canada say at least nine people have been killed and more than two dozen injured in a shooting that took place at a school and a home. Craig McCullough reports from Vancouver, British Columbia. The victims were discovered at the two locations.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police say they found the first victims inside the Tumbler Ridge Secondary School. One died en route to hospital and another two were found in a residence in in the small town of 2,400 people in northeastern British Columbia. The shooter was found dead inside the school. RCMP Superintendent Ken Floyd says it might be hard to find any motive.

Authorities in Southern Arizona detained a person for questioning yesterday in the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, the mother of Today show host Savannah Guthrie. There are unconfirmed reports that person has been released. Separately, the FBI has released still images and video of a masked unidentified person outside Nancy Guthrie's home. That person appears to be armed. The federal government says employers added 130,000 jobs to the U.S. economy last month. The report was stronger than analysts had expected. The unemployment rate dipped 1/10 of 1% to 4.3%. US skier Ryan Cochran Siegel has won silver in the men's Super G race. It's the second straight silver medal for him in this event and the eighth medal for the U.S. overall at these Olympics. NPR's Becky Sullivan has more.

The U.S. alpine Ski Team has been a force at the Olympics, but this is the first medal for the men. 33 year old Cochrane Siegel comes from a family of Olympians, including his mom, Barbara Cochran, who won gold in the 1972 slalom race. In the men's super g, the dominant Swiss team took the other two medals. Franja Phenalman won his third gold of this Olympics and Marco Odermat won bronze. The women's super G is set for Thursday here in Cortina. Dom Pezzo, the beloved Italian skier Sofia Gogia is a favorite to medal, as is New Zealand's Alice Rob in It's the one women's event Team USA doesn't have a top tier contender in after the injuries to Lindsey Vaughn, who was third in the World Cup Super G standings before her catastrophic crash on Sunday.
