Live from NPR News. In Washington, I'm Windsor Johnston. Travelers could face delays at US Airports after the Department of Homeland Security shut down this weekend. The agency includes Transportation Security Administration agents who are now working without pay. Travel groups warn the longer the shutdown lasts, the more likely travelers are to see longer security lines and delays. New York Congressman Andrew Garbarino says the partial shutdown is also impacting other critical agencies.
C
It's Secret Service, fema, cisa, who's, the cybersecurity agency, as well as the TSA officials that work at our airports, Coast Guard, they are all going to go to work without being paid. And the shutdown, the way it is now, I actually think makes our country less safe.

Members of Congress left Washington without a deal on Friday. Lawmakers remain deadlocked over reforms to how federal immigration agents carry out their duties. Police in Toronto say hundreds of thousands of people took to the streets this weekend to demand regime change in Iran. Dan Carpentuk reports. Canadians called for their government to recognize Iran's exiled crown prince as the country's largest Leader.
D
Police expected 200,000 demonstrators. But as the protest got underway, that estimate nearly doubled to become one of Toronto's largest protests in recent months. It was part of a global day of action called by Reza Pahlavi, Iran's exiled crown prince, as similar rallies took place in major cities around the world. The largely peaceful protest in Toronto caused major road closures, transit delays and gridlock. Many protesters draped themselves in the flag Iran used before the Islamic Revolution in 1979. Protesters could also be heard chant King Reza Pahlavi. Organizers say they want to raise awareness of the revolution and get non Iranians involved and to show people in Iran they stand with them. For NPR News, I'm Dan Karpenschuk in Toronto.

The U.S. will participate in a World Health Organization meeting about flu later this month. That's even though the Trump administration pulled out of the who this year. NPR's Jonathan Lambert reports. U.S. scientists will help design next year's flu shot.
E
Twice a year, scientists from all over the world get together to study what strains of flu are circulating at these WHO led meetings. They decide what strains to put into next year's flu shot to give the best protection. In past years, the US has played a major role by sharing CDC data and expertise. There were questions about whether that would happen this year, now that the US Officially exited who. But in a press conference, WHO official Maria Van Kerkove put that question to rest.
F
The meeting will take place at the end of this month, and yes, the US Is participating.
E
The Department of Health and Human Services confirmed that to npr. The move suggests that both the US And WHO are still open to collaborating, at least when it comes to flu. Jonathan Lambert, NPR News.
B
It's npr. The White House is planning major cuts at the Census Bureau ahead of a key test of its operations later this year. The bureau is removing some rural communities from the count and reducing support for languages other than English, changes that could lower participation. Civil rights groups warn that could make it harder to produce reliable population numbers used for redistricting and federal spending in 2030. Over the past few years, more than 500 couples have chosen to renew their vows or say them for the first time as part of a special Valentine's Day wedding ceremony near Denver this weekend. Emma Van 90 of member station KUNC.
G
Reports more than 30 couples took part in this year's event, where they walked down the aisle, read vows and exchanged rings. One couple met on TikTok. A few others are celebrating 50 years of being married. Jim and Julie Shaw flew in from New York for the ceremony. Julie says renewing her vows in the Rocky Mountains is special.
F
