Live from NPR News in Washington, I'm Windsor Johnston. The Trump administration is considering its next steps after the Supreme Court struck down a key tariff Authority on Friday. NPR's Nina Totenberg reports. The justices ruled President Trump exceeded his power under under the law he used to impose several trade penalties.
Nina Totenberg (0:35)
Writing for a 6 to 3 majority, Chief Justice John Roberts said that the Constitution explicitly places the power to impose taxes, including tariffs, with Congress, not with the president. Joining the conservative Roberts in the majority were two Trump appointees and the court's three liberals. Justice Kavanaugh, also a Trump appointee, wrote the principal dissent. A furious and agitated Trump called the three conservatives in the majority unpatriotic and disloyal to the Constitution.

They're just being fools and lapdogs for the RINOs and the radical left Democrats.
Nina Totenberg (1:09)
And that was hardly the end of it. Trump called the three conservatives disloyal, unpatriotic and at one point launched into a rant about how the court should have invalidated the election results in 2020. Nina Totenberg, NPR News, Washington.

British officials are considering whether to remove the former Prince Andrew from the line of succession to the throne. The move comes after his arrest Thursday on suspicion of misconduct in public office tied to the Epstein. NPR's Lauren Frere reports from London.
Lauren Frere (1:39)
Andrew's been stripped of his title prince and evicted from his royal lodge over his ties to Jeffrey Epstein, but he is still eighth in line to the throne. The British government now says it may draft legislation to prevent Andrew from ever becoming king. It would have to be approved by Parliament and more than a dozen other countries where the British king is head of state. The last time the line of Succession changed was 1936, after Edward VIII's abdication.
