Secretary General Antonio Guterres says the U.N. charter is clear. It prohibits the use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of any state. President Trump has made clear that this military action is aimed at regime change in Iran and he's urging Iranians to rise up. Iran is calling for an emergency UN Security Council meeting. In his statement, Guterres calls for an immediate cessation of hostility and de escalation, adding failing to do so risks a wider regional conflict with grave consequences for civilians and regional stability. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer says the UK Played no role in the strikes, but it's long been clear that the Iranian regime is abhorrent, that it's murdered thousands of their own people and is a threat to others. He says Iran has backed more than 20 potentially lethal attacks on British soil. But Starmer said Iran has within its power to end the hostilities.
Keir Starmer (1:38)
Iran can end this now. They should refrain from further strikes, give up their weapons programs and cease the appalling violence and repression against the Iranian people who deserve the right to to determine their own future.

According to the Basis website, it provides support and security for US Ships in. The Pentagon did not immediately respond to a request for comment about the video. Jeff Brumfiel, NPR News.
