live from NPR News. I'm Dale Willman. The United Arab Emirates says a fire broke out following a drone strike at its nuclear power plant in Abu Dhabi Sunday. The UAE says the attack had no effect on radiation safety levels. Unlike in past attacks, the UAE did not attribute this one directly to Iran. NPR's Aya Batrawi reports.

The United Arab Emirates says the drone struck an electricity generator outside the Baraka nuclear power plant's inner perimeter on Sunday. The International Atomic Energy Agency says it was informed by the UAE that radiation levels remain normal. It says emergency diesel generators are currently providing power to part of the plant, the only one of its kind in the Arabian Peninsula. The UAE says the drone came from its western border, where neighbor Saudi Arabia borders Yemen to the south and Iraq to the far north. In an apparent reference to Iranian proxies, senior Emirati diplomat Anur Gargas wrote on X the attack, quote, whether carried out by the principal perpetrator or through one of its agents represents a dangerous escalation. The event was organized by a public private partnership that's been backed by the White House. Federal officials are urging striking employees of the Long Island Railroad to return to the bargaining table. Workers for North America's largest commuter rail system walked off the job at midnight Friday after contract talks stalled. The two sides had been negotiating for months over a new contract before the walkout occurred. The Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho was hosting a two day air show when two military jets appeared to collide during a performance on Sunday. Bystander video shows the jets twisting and careening in the air before smashing into the ground in a plume of dirt and fire. Four parachutes can be seen floating above the wreckage, and the Air Force base says all crew members are in stable condition and the fire was contained. An investigation into the incident is now underway. The last time the base hosted an air show was 2018, when a hang glider pilot died after crashing during a performance. Tom Dreisbach, NPR News.

Eligible voters in South Dakota who want to cast ballots in the state's June 2 primary have until Monday to register in person or get in their mail in application. South Dakota is one of the few states that do not offer online voter registration that is available to eligible voters in Oklahoma, where the deadline is Friday for signing up online or in person and getting mail and applications. Postmarked mail and online voter registration is also ending soon in California, Iowa and Maine, but eligible voters still have time to register in person leading up to and on the day of California and Iowa's primaries on June 2 and Maine's primary on June 9. If you've already registered a vote, you may want to go to your state election officials website and check your status. Eligible voters can sometimes be removed from lists, especially if they move, change their name or haven't voted in a while. Hansi Loang, NPR News.

A museum in Illinois is wondering how it received a speeding ticket for a car on display there. The Volo Museum near Chicago says it's received the ticket for its replica of the car in the the TV show Knight Rider, but the car hasn't moved from the museum in years. The ticket from New York City includes photos of a black Trans Am with the California license plate night. I'm Dale Willman, NPR News.
