Then last week, he said he might not even sign the deal unless Gulf Arab states like Qatar sign the Abraham Accord, normalizing relations with Israel.

The last time Israeli forces were this far into Lebanon was in 2000 at the end of an 18 year occupation when they withdrew amid fighting with Iran backed Hezbollah.
