Live from NPR News, I'm Lakshmi Singh. In a dispute that has rocked the World Cup, FIFA is rejecting Belgium's challenge of a decision to let U.S. striker Foleren Balogun on the field tonight when his U.S. men's National Soccer team faces Belgium in the World cup's round of 16. Belgium appealed after FIFA rescinded the red card Balogun got in last week's match against Bosnia Herzegovina and delayed his one game suspension. The this a day after President Trump asked for a review of the suspension, stirring questions about political interference and for some deepening suspicions about corruption under FIFA. The president says he spoke with Russian leader Vladimir Putin over the July 4th weekend about the war in Ukraine. NPR's Franco Ordonez reports. Trump says it was a good call.

President Trump says he plans to discuss the conflict between Russia and Ukraine during his trip to Ankara, Turkey, for the NATO summit. He's also expected to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Eligible voters in Tennessee who want to cast ballots in the state's Aug. 6 primary have until Tuesday to register. Then Wednesday is Missouri's sign up deadline for its primary on Aug. 4. Guam is holding a primary on Aug. 1, and the territory's deadline for registering online is Friday, July 10, though there's an extra week to sign up in person if you're if you've already registered to vote, you may want to go to your election official's website and check your registration status before your state or territory's deadline. Election officials may remove your name from their list of registered voters, especially if you recently moved, changed your name or haven't voted in a while. And if you're planning to mail your application, election officials recommend sending it at least a week before the deadline. Han Zi Lo Wang, NPR News.

New research finds many online sites are prescribing GLP1 obesity drugs with limited oversight. But more from NPR's Maria Godoy in

the study, a researcher posing as a patient went to 49 different websites that offer GLP1 medications. All of the sites relied primarily on patient reported questionnaires that often missed important medical history. For example, only about a third asked for clinical data like cholesterol, blood glucose and blood pressure. Just 26% of sites required an actual video visit to get a prescription. In some cases, websites issued prescriptions even though the patient failed to submit required photos.

A preliminary hearing is underway for the 23 year old man charged with assassinating Charlie Kirk on the grounds of the Utah Valley University campus last fall. Prosecutors argue they have enough evidence to put Tyler Robinson on trial for the charge of aggravated murder. Kirk's parents and widow are attending the week long hearing, but today they walked out of the courtroom shortly after a former UVU police officer began testifying about the day of the shooting. A super typhoon made landfall near the US Territory of Guam Monday local time. It brought heavy downpours to the Northern Mariana Islands. George Young Washington, which had ticket sales of just over $20 million, is from Angel Studios, the faith based media company that open of Freedom on the Fourth of July three years ago. That one also had a three day total, around 20 million, then played so well in Rocky Mountain states, the Midwest and South, that it ended up making over $250 million globally. The Angel Studio playbook hasn't changed. Young Washington also has its best numbers in America's heartland.
