Texas officials are expected to give an update this hour on the deadly flash flooding that swept central Texas Friday, Kentucky, killing at least 82 people. Many of the victims are children who were away at summer camp on the banks of the Guadalupe River. Camp mystic says this morning it's grieving the loss of 27 campers and counselors. Houston Public Media's Dominic Anthony Walsh reports on the difficult recovery.

Once the historic floodwaters receded, residents along the Guadalupe river sprang into recovery mode. Church groups, family members and volunteers from miles away gathered to help move ruined possessions and scoop mud out of homes. Floodwaters rose about 2ft high in Martha Mariama's home, and she says it's a total loss, but she's grateful for the support.
