Mexico will request criminal charges from US Prosecutors relating to the deaths of its citizens in the US Two days after ICE agents fatally shot a Mexican national in Houston. From member station kjzz, Nina Kurvinski has more from Hermosillo, Mexico.

Mexican Foreign Minister Roberto Velasco says his country will take additional steps to protect Mexican nationals in the US from mistreatment more than a year after Trump administration ramped up immigration enforcement efforts. Velasco says 14 Mexican nationals have died in immigration custody since the beginning of President Trump's term and three more have died during immigration enforcement actions. We're going to move on from the diplomatic sphere and go directly before prosecutors, velasco says, adding Mexico will also file civil lawsuits against companies that operate immigration detention facilities. The investigation continues into the death of 18 year old Nolan Wells, who died while celebrating the 4th of July on an island off the Mississippi coast. His body was found three days later. Prediction markets offer betting on many topics involving finance, whether it's a company's quarterly earnings or what an analyst will say on an investor call or when a company will introduce a new service. The new rule from Goldman Sachs prohibits employees from placing bets on future outcomes related to finance, corporate America, elections or geopolitics. It does allow for employees to wager on sports and entertainment. Billions of dollars are traded every week on prediction market sites, which are largely unregulated. Despite the new rule. Two 15 year olds were detained by police in California after the Waymo Robo taxi they were riding in recorded them allegedly drinking alcohol and firing guns, which were later identified as toys and Pierce. Scott Newman reports. Privacy experts say the incident raises ethical concerns.

Police in San Mateo posted on Facebook Monday that they had apprehended the teenagers after being alerted by Waymo, which had disabled their vehicle. Arina Reiku is director of the Internet Ethics Program at Santa Clara University. She says there should be some kind of notice to passengers and that cameras and autonomous taxis are monitoring them.
