Live from NPR News in Washington, I'm Shea Stevens. A federal judge in New Hampshire has blocked the enforcement of President Trump's executive order on birthright citizenship. New Hampshire Public Radio's Kate Dario reports. The decision is the latest setback in Trump's effort to end automatic citizenship for people born in the US A federal.

Judge in Concord halted enforcement of the order, which sought to deny citizenship to babies born to immigrants without legal status and those with legal but temporary status. The class action lawsuit was brought by the ACLU and others on behalf of three non citizen parents and their infants. The decision follows last month's Supreme Court decision that limited the scope of injunctions issued by other federal judges, raising the potential that Trump's citizenship order could take effect in some states in late July. In a letter posted on Truth Social, Trump said he would consider an adjustment to the tariff if Canada stops the flow of fentanyl. He also warns of consequences if any attempts are made to circumvent the new taxes. Coming days after tariff letters were sent out to more than a dozen nations, the Food and Drug Administration has granted full approval for Moderna's COVID 19 vaccine for children as young as 6 months old. Moderna's Spikevax COVID 19 vaccine had been authorized for kids under an emergency use authorization that the FDA used to make Covid vaccines available during the pandemic. But now the agency has granted full approval for children ages 6 months to 11 years. The approval comes amidst series of steps the Trump administration has taken restricting access to the COVID vaccines. That includes dropping recommendations that healthy children and pregnant women get the shots.
