Trump is still defending Attorney General Pam Bondi against other MAGA allies who've criticized the handling of documents linked to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Bondi has come under fire after she announced that the DOJ found no client list connected to Epstein's alleged crimes or any evidence to contradict that he died by suicide. Backlash from President Trump's base over the controversy has reached Elmo. The beloved Sesame street character's X account was hacked over the weekend. In a statement today, Sesame Workshop confirmed the messages included anti Semitic and racist posts. Elmo's account has about 650,000 followers. Sesame Workshop says it is working to restore full control of Elmo's account. 21 year old Saifullah Muslat ran an ice cream shop in Tampa, Florida, and was visiting his mother and siblings in their West Bank. Village residents say he joined a protest Friday against a group of Israel settlers who had encroached on Palestinian village land and that settlers beat him, leading to his death. He was the fifth American reported killed in the west bank in a wave of violence sparked by the October 7, 2023 Hamas attacks. His father, Kamel Muslat, called on the US to investigate. A second Palestinian was killed in the same incident. Israeli police tell npr. They arrested an Israeli reservist soldier in connection with the killings. They say he fired shots in the air in accordance with protest protocol and was released. The soldier's actions are under investigation. Daniel Estrin, NPR News, Tel Aviv.
