Meanwhile, President Trump says he's not feeling pressured to settle the war ahead of the midterm elections, but he says the US And Iran are currently in negotiations.

U.S. embassies in the Middle east began alerting Americans in the region that options to leave could become more limited. Iran's Revolutionary Guard advised residents of neighboring countries to stay away from bases with U.S. troops. The family of Corey Ruiz, the man fatally shot by police this week in Madison, Wisconsin, spoke publicly today for the first time since his death. We were looking towards a future and we'll never get that. His family won't get it. His daughter won't get it. I won't get it. A Madison police officer killed Ruiz on Wednesday. According to police, Ruiz injured an officer with a knife as they tried to arrest him. That officer opened fire. However, bystander video which shows Ruiz on the ground has prompted questions over the shooting. The cyclospora outbreak that sickened thousands has expanded to four additional states. That's according to an update from the CDC. As NPR's Ping Huang reports, the month long outbreak investigation continues.

The CDC has confirmed nearly 2,000 cases of cyclospirasis over the past month in a multi state outbreak. It says the true count of people sickened may be much higher. The parasite has been causing intestinal issues and explosive diarrhea across at least nine states now, including Illinois, Kansas, Oklahoma and Pennsylvania. 98 people have been hospitalized and no one has died. The parasitic infection can be treated with an antibiotic, though most healthy people can recover without treatment. The CDC says the data continues to show that iceberg lettuce grown and processed by Taylor Farms, New Mexico and served at Taco Bell restaurants is a source of the contamination.
