Live from NPR News in New York City. I'm Dwahalisai Kowtow. Ukraine is recovering from another heavy night of Russian attacks. The Kyiv Independent reports that city officials officials say at least two people have died, including a one year old child. Videos and local media reports also showed a government building in the Capitol billowing in orange smoke nearby Maidan or Independence Square. While thousands of anti government protesters demonstrated against President Trump's deployment of National Guard troops in Washington, D.C. the president posted a meme on social media early Saturday that appeared to threaten Chicago with troops and deportations. From member station wbez, Adriana Cardona, Maggie Goddard reports.

10,000 flight attendants at Air Canada have overwhelmingly rejected the airline's latest wage offer. Dan Karpenschuk reports.
Dan Karpenschuk
The Canadian Union of Public Employees argued that if they accepted the offer, flight attendants would still make less than the federal minimum wage. Air Canada offered a 12% increase for most junior flight attendants and an 8% increase for senior members. A three day strike ended nearly three weeks ago over wages and work for unpaid hours on the job. The union says the wage issue is being referred to mediation and if necessary, it will go to arbitration. Both sides agreed there would be no labor disruption and flights will continue to operate. For NPR News, I'm Dan Karpenschuk in.

I just think if people would be empathetic, even in small ways with one another, you can start there, you know, and also I wanted to say that filmmaking's a very complicated language and it takes a lot, a lot of effort to appear effortless, and I had the most amazing cast and collaborators to help me.

And Bader just unloads on this one deep left field, and that one is gone.

That Harrison Bader home run is a moment one young baseball fan will never forget, especially after he was given the home run ball, at least for a moment. Video shows the ball landed in front of a woman before being grabbed by a man who gave it to the kid. The woman confronts the man, shouting, quote, that was mine. You took it from me. The man then takes the ball from the boy and hands it to the woman, who walks away. When word of the incident reached Marlon's team officials, the boy was given a prize pack that included baseballs. He also met Harrison Bader, who gave him an autographed baseball bat. Shondalyse Duster, NPR News.
