In Washington, I'm Giles Snyder. President Trump is calling an expanded ceasefire agreement between Thailand and Cambodia a historic deal. The agreement builds on a truce a Trump helped broker three months ago that ended a deadly border dispute.

Eighteen Cambodian prisoners of war will be released. And under this agreement, observers from ASEAN countries, including Malaysia, will be deployed to make sure that the peace prevails and endures. I have no doubt that it will.

Trump presided over the signing ceremony at the start of the regional summit of the association of Southeast Asian nations in Kuala Lumpur. However, long standing differences over the border remain. Dozens of Malaysian civil societies and local NGOs gathered gathered in Kuala Lumpur today to protest against President Trump's attendance at the ASEAN Summit. Naina Rao reports.

Abigail Spanberger says local communities should decide on how to handle these issues, not the state. She is focused instead on affordability in the closing days of the race. And you're listening to NPR News. A week after the jewel heist at Paris's Louvre museum, authorities have begun making arrests. French media say two people were arrested overnight, and the Paris prosecutor says one was taken into custody as he was preparing to fly out of the country. Last Sunday, four men dressed as workmen and in eight minutes, they made off with royal jewels worth more than $100 million. Los Angeles Dodgers have tied the World Series at one game apiece with last night's 51 win over the Toronto Blue Jays. Reporter Steve Futterman is in Toronto.

Game two was essentially a pitcher's duel for the first six innings. After six, the game was tied one to one. But in the seventh, the Dodgers broke through. High drive deep to left field. It's Smith with a big swing. Dodger catcher Will Smith hit a solo home run to make it two 1. The call on Fox Sports. Two batters later, another home run made it 3 to 1. LA scored two more times in the eighth, and that was more than enough run support for Dodger starter Yoshi Yamamoto, who pitched the first World Series complete game since 2015. LA manager Dave Roberts on Yamamoto's performance, Outstanding. Yeah, he was just locked in tonight after an off day. The series resumes in Los Angeles on Monday for Game 3. The Tony Award winning actor June Lockhart has died. Her family announced this weekend that Lockhart died at her home in Santa Monica, California. She was 100 years old. She became a TV star for her roles in Lassie and Lost in Space. I'm Giles Snyder, NPR News.
