Live from NPR News. I'm Lakshmi Singh. A new study from Pew of Latinos finds big concerns over the economy and immigration. And NPR's Domenico Montanaro reports that they blame President Trump's policies.
Domenico Montanaro
The Pew Research center polled more than 5,000 Latinos in the past two months, which is more than 10 times the average of a national poll, and what they found was significant. 70% disapprove of the job that Trump is doing on the economy, 4 in 5 view it negatively, and 61% say Trump's policies have made things worse. On immigration, two thirds disapprove of how Trump's handling it. More than that say that he's doing too much. But when it comes to deportations, overall, a majority say they have serious concerns about their place in America, and one in three say they've contemplated leaving the country. Domenico Montanaro, NPR News, Washington.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth says the Pentagon may prosecute Senator Mark Kelly. NPR's Quill Lawrence reports. Kelly and others have told US troops not to follow illegal orders.
Quill Lawrence
Kelly, a former combat pilot and astronaut, joined five other Democratic lawmakers with military and intelligence backgrounds last week in a message to US Troops. Our laws are clear. You can refuse illegal orders. That's a basic tenet of military education. But President Trump called it treason and suggested the six Democrats be hanged. The Trump administration has faced legal questions about deployment of National Guard troops domestically and deadly airstrikes on boats suspected of smuggling. Of the six in the video, only Kelly, as a formerly retired officer, can be recalled to face court martial, and Secretary Hegseth said that's what the Pentagon may do after this review, though it would be rare if not unprecedented. Senator Kelly responded that he won't be intimidated. Quill Lawrence, NPR News.

The administration is designating Venezuela's Cartel de los Soles, a foreign terrorist organization. It's imposing sanctions that it says includes Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro. The Venezuelan government calls the designation ridiculous. Israeli forces have killed the second in command of the militant Lebanese group Hezbollah. Jane Araf reports. A strike in Lebanon is raising fears of war restarting a year after a ceasefire went into effect.
Jane Araf
I'm outside the apartment with the two apartments that were hit. You can see they're pretty much completely destroyed. But this was also a residential area with shops on the bottom, and there were at least two dozen others who were injured, including women and children. Hezbollah has not yet said how it's going to respond, but an official on Sunday said this strike in the middle of what is supposed to be a ceasefire. For NPR News, I'm Jane Araf. In the southern suburbs of Beirut, US.

Stocks are trading higher this hour. The Dow Jones industrial average is now up 225 points. This is NPR News. The movie Wicked for Good was number one at the North American box office over the weekend. NPR's Bob Mondello has details.
Bob Mondello
Because the wizard of Oz is a children's classic in the U.S. wicked for good, the second half of the origin story of good witch Glinda and wicked witch Elphaba, was expected to do well here with what looks like a $150 million opening weekend. It's doing very well, But the story isn't as well known in other countries. So Wicked for Good, opening to more than $75 million overseas, even with stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo doing extensive publicity tours, was not a given. The first wicked film made $758 million worldwide, so their combined box office will reach a billion dollars in the next few days. Bob Mondello, NPR News.

Decked out Clydesdale horses chomping at the bit after they pulled a carriage carrying a Christmas tree to the steps of the White House today. First lady Melania Trump accepted it. The tree comes from Michigan's Corsons Tree Farms. The Trump family will be spending Thanksgiving at Mar a Lago, while the TSA projects it'll screen nearly 18 millionaire travelers during the holiday period. And AAA projects at least 82 million people will take to the roads for Thanksgiving. That's over a million more than last year. The Dow's up half a percent S and P's up 1.5%. It's NPR News.
