London. The US Department of Education says it has reached a proposed settlement agreement with the state of Missouri to end a popular yet controversial Biden era student loan repayment plan. The agreement, assuming it's approved by the judge, would allow the department to move the more than 7 million borrowers still enrolled in Save to Other repayment plans. An environmental group wants a national moratorium on the construction of some new data centers that power artificial intelligence. More than two hundred and thirty groups have signed on to a letter to Congress. Here's NPR's Jeff.
