Simply wanting to recover is not going to be enough. You can want it more than anything in the world, but what are you actually doing to bring yourself closer to recovery? Have you reduced by even a little bit rumination from the day before? What about from the day before that? Are you even accountable? What about compulsions? Are you reducing from the day before? With clients we always say crawl up the wall, exorcist style. Remember, like the movie the Exorcist. Exorcist style. But get the numbers down at least a little bit. At least a little less rumination, at least a little less compulsions. It's not all or nothing. It's not done in one day. But you need to start making tangible movements forward towards recovery. Wanting it is not going to get you there. Actual steps, no matter how little, that's what's going to get you there. Emergency session is available. The link is in the description.
