Jeff
I think a lot of people are about to find out they were asking the wrong question. For years, the conversation around XRB has been pretty simple, right? When Moon, when etf, when adoption, when's price going up? And don't get me wrong, those are important questions. Don't beat me up out there in the chat. But if they're not the most important questions anymore, what if, Right? But what if they're not the most important questions anymore? Because the more I look at what's happening right now, the more it feels like something much bigger is taking shape. And it's not around Bitcoin, it's not around Ethereum. What do you think it is? Xrp. That's right, it's around xrp.
Chip
See, I don't even think most people even realize how weird what you just said sounds. Because if you would have said this, let's say six years ago when we started this podcast. Can you believe it's been six years already?
Political Commentator
No.
Chip
People would have laughed hard. They would have been like, huh? It would have been like mannequins would have laughed. They were like, xrp, what the hell? I mean, the thing that everybody thought was dead, you know, the thing everybody thought was member, it's getting replaced. The biker's coin. Everybody wants to be a banker's coin. The thing everybody said would never recover from the SEC lawsuit. Remember all the naysayers? They're going to get destroyed. Ripple is going to go away. XRP was going to go away. Could it survive the company ripple not being here? Now we're sitting here watching XRP show up in payments, stable coins, tokenization, defi, cross chain infrastructure. Then you've got AI discussions that are filtered into all of it around blockchain. And somehow people, they always bring it back to one thing, Jeff. The price.
Jeff
The price. That's right. And maybe that's why so many people are actually missing it. I don't know. They're not seeing the. What's that statement? You can't see the trees through the forest, but they're waiting for some giant moment, right? This massive giant announcement is going to come, right? That's what they're waiting for. Some big giant candle on a chart.
Chip
Tuesday? No, no, it's next Wednesday. No, no. By the end of the year. But that's not how infrastructure works, Jeff. Nobody throws a parade when they pour the foundation. That's just the beginning of everything. Nobody actually celebrates when they run the plumbing. Well, the plumbers do because they're done. They get the track open.
Jeff
No one does.
Chip
And I don't think anybody really gets excited when they install an electrical system. But that building's finished and they have that grand opening, everybody suddenly acts like it happened overnight.
Jeff
That's right. You're cutting big scissors come out. That's a really great point because tonight we're going to look at a series of developments that individually might not seem like that big of a deal, but all together, each together tells a much different story.
Chip
And if we're right, and we almost always are, a lot of people are going to look back at six months from now and say, hey, you know what? That was happening already. Of course.
Jeff
Of course it was. And if you join the show, hit that like, button, hit the subscribe to the channel and help support OTC and go to on the chain IO. You can support us on YouTube, you can support us on coffee. It's in the chat. K o-fi.com Kofi Backslash on the Chain. And then right here's the big issue, right? The AI crew that we're working with, man, and we said it last time, we're going to say it every show. They keep asking for raises. Now they're threatening to shut the lights off. Their, their tastes are so expensive, they're just consuming tokens like Pac Man. We're doing our best to keep them fat, happy, caffeinated, and slightly less dangerous. So smash that subscribe button and let's get OTC to the moon.
Chip
Let's go. Welcome to on the Chain.
Jeff
Oh, welcome to on the Chain. This is Jeff here with co host Chip. What is going on? Chip? What's going on? Everybody out there in the OTC family. On the Chain Family. Chip, I'll tell you what, I have to admit something. When we pick the title for tonight's show, I thought it sounded absolutely ridiculous.
Chip
Well, it pro. Well, it's like everything we do. So there's a little bit of ridiculous in there. Just a little tiny bit. Jeff, that happens once in a while.
Jeff
It does happen a little time every so often. Not that often. Sometimes every show. But tell you what, it's this title that we picked tonight, maybe draw it drew you in for tonight. Bit bigger than xrp. That's right. Bigger than xrp. Because XRP is already pretty big, right? It's a big story. That's what everyone's thinking out there.
Chip
That's why I just like the Jeff, because there's reaction that people have is like, hey, how could anything be bigger than, you know, XR Pay, right?
Jeff
Xrp. Hey, then we started really going through everything that happened after the last couple days, last couple weeks, got flair. Big announcement there. With flair. Hugo Filion gonna be right here with us Saturday, 8:00am Eastern Standard Time. So make sure you tune in for Saturday morning. It's going to be an amazing chat. Some amazing things happening with flair. Big news. Big news. So you got flare, R O U S D. Something called flutter wave, kind of. What kind of thing is that? What is flutter wave? You've got cross chain expansion, new liquidity solutions, new utility new. And I had one of those moments where you really stop looking at the individual headlines and you really start looking at the momentum of everything.
Chip
Chip, that's the word. I like that word. Momentum. Momentum. Because none of these stories by themselves, they're not gonna like melt the Internet or anything, but if you think about them together, it feels like somebody keeps adding some fuel, a little smoke. When you see a little smoke, you put a little fuel on that and then it becomes fire, Jeff. That's right. Fire, fire, fire.
Jeff
That's really what got my attention. Because every time we do a show lately, it really seems like all these pieces keep getting added. Another capability, another integration, another expansion. At some point you have to stop asking what happened today? And you have to start asking, where's this all going?
Chip
Yeah, because all these developments, they're basically moving in the same parallel direction and dimension. And we're not sitting there watching random stuff anymore. Every day, every time we do a show, it's pretty much the same. It all comes down to one thing. That's acceleration. And despite everybody, oh, no, the prices, you know, of cryptos in the dumper, you got to just see what's going on behind the scenes. And that's what we're going to dive into tonight. And I think what we'll do is start it off, Jeff, really strong with none other than Hugo Fillion who will be on the show. When's this Saturday, 8:00am Guys, you don't want to miss it. Been excited to get Hugo on here. We've talked about getting him on here a while. Well, it's actually happening. It's confirmed. He will be here Saturday morning. So come on in. If you don't see it, you can always watch the re watch. But I think you'll find this is good. Hugo was on an episode of the onshine Academy, or economy, as you guys know. He's the co founder and he's the CEO of flare networks here. He's got a little thing. It's funny how he says he's excited here to check this out. This is a good piece. Well, well done.
Jeff
I'm excited about what we're doing at Flare to expand the use of xrp and I think, you know, I'd like to see with xrp, you know, other people, you know, build more use cases.
Chip
That's a really good. There's a longer bit too and I don't think I pulled it, but there's a longer. It's obviously just like a one pull quote there, but I thought I had a longer one, but no, I did not pull the long one.
Jeff
We're gonna. You discussed the Illinois digital asset tax that just passed.
Chip
Oh, yeah. Don't, don't worry, man.
Jeff
We got. Save that question. We'll talk about that in a little bit. Make sure you guys hit that subscribe button, hit the reminder. Make sure you get reminded of the show. If you're brand new here, obviously you got to subscribe and got a lot of people in with us tonight so far. So I'm happy to see that. Got over a 100 people here so far tuned in, ready to talk.
Chip
You know, when you think about it, when you bring like Hugo was saying, if you bring an XRP into like a smart contract environment, Flare, what Flare does enables the defi use cases. You know, part of that is XRP is collateral lending, do borrowing and then interacting with stable coins and tokenized assets. We'll talk a little bit about that. And so a lot of this was talking about, you know, why privacy is going to be important, especially when you think about broader institutional. So there's a whole. If you guys at the end of the show, it's good that you subscribe. Jeff, you should throw the, you should just throw the URL for our website in there on the chain IO because if you scroll to the bottom, put your email in there, you'll get all of these stories and part of that first link that you'll see at the top, we'll have the full episode. You might want to go watch that and check it out with Hugo. And then you also mentioned RL USD everywhere. So check this out. This is square Squid router wid and I want to play this little, little sort of teaser video. Then I'm going to jump into a thread about this. But here's. Watch this. I like their logo. It's pretty badass.
Jeff
Very cool. Now do you think that was made by AI or somebody made that?
Chip
No, somebody made that. It's too good for AI. Could be wrong. Who knows? We're gonna get to a point where you won't be able to tell anymore.
Jeff
Very cool.
Chip
We're getting actually frightening clo Frightened frightening close to that moment, but I don't know exactly when that moment's gonna come. But they put out a thread on this and it was also reposted by I think Rebel Ax. But here it is here RO USD everywhere powered by Squid Squid is now powering instant cross chain access for Ripple USD, better known as RO USD. You can now swap and move our USD across the XRPL Ethereum base Optimism and then beyond so here's the Here is the thread here. So RLSD is Ripple's fully backed USD denominated stablecoin enables real time secure compliant payments and easy fiat to stablecoin on and off ramps for exchanges, fintechs, crypto on ramps and then there's more. And since the launch of our USD it's generated millions in monthly volume across tens of thousands of holders, surpassing a market cap of 1.8 billion. Now one of the fastest growing USD stable coins globally is going multi chain powered by who? Yours truly squid SQUID Router so SQUID is powering the payments interoperability enabling instant multi chain movement of ROUSD from the XRP ledger across the supported and future chains. But yeah, I think other things probably got to go pretty broad with direct swaps from usdc, usdt, eth, XRP and other supported digital assets to RO USD all in a single transaction. And then our USD is issued natively on the XRPL and Ethereum. And as we know it got its head start on Ethereum and now it's on the XRPL for obvious reasons. You got to go where the people are and sidechain Optimism Base Inc. And Unichain is is via wormholes, native Token transfer, their NTT standard and SQUIDs integration now enables RO USD to move seamlessly across every single chain it's deployed on. There it is.
Jeff
Impressive.
Chip
Look at that Ethereum 234567 so far. I'm sure they'll add more Jeff I like it. Then instant cross chain swaps and transfers of RLUSD are powered by SQUID Intense. SQUID Intense is our routing and execution layer, sourcing the fastest and most capital efficient routes across on and off chain liquidity sources, instant execution, near minimum fees and enterprise grade reliability at real scale. Read more about it here. We don't really have to go there because we kind of just broke it all down. I like it when they break it down in post Jeff. That way we don't have to read quotes by people that Never said it, but attorneys wrote it.
Jeff
It's always a lot of fun reading the attorney statements.
Chip
Oh my gosh, take the last one Jeff. We're not even done yet.
Jeff
No, there's. This keeps going on and on. You know, it's impressive that we're seeing all these big projects, you know, popping up, doing some amazing things, pulling the cross chain together. It's all about interoperability. So here squid number 5 on their thread they got. Rlusd is now available to end users through Squid's front end app, which is app.squidrouter.com it's easily accessible to developers via Squids API SDK and widget docs.squidrouter.com Developers can integrate Squid for cross chain capabilities. Look at that. Turning rousd into a plug and play asset for payments, onboarding, treasury and settlement. And this is really important especially since they just put that starter kit out to make it even easier to build on the xrpl. So there's some really cool things that are taking place right now. We're seeing cross chain initiatives, multi chain economy because that's really what it's all about. Chip. It can't just be one. We don't operate in silos. We're building some amazing things. And that's where number six man. What is how long is their thread? Let's just keep going on.
Chip
It's only 77 Jeff. We got time.
Jeff
So we're on number six. We got an hour. So key use cases now enabled for the RL USD which I think we know a lot of these but this is important from their side. Capital onboarding, cross chain transfers and payments, cross currency swaps, real world asset and defy access, automated and agentic payments, enterprise on and off ramps, NEO banking and fintech integrations, RL USD everywhere. Chip, you know it's different now than like six years ago when we were really getting going with a podcast. There were so many. What's that?
Chip
It's not sitting in a silo. Everything was like.
Jeff
Right, exactly. Everything was. Was a lot different then but it was at the same time saw a lot of the YouTube fanboys that all they talked about were off ramps.
Chip
Oh yeah, I remember that for that
Jeff
all the off ramps.
Chip
Cai, they love their off your off ramps because you gotta take your profits, put your big boy pants on a piece some cinnamon in your, in your mouth. Whatever Jeff, there's only something more.
Unknown Guest
Go ahead.
Jeff
There's a lot more. This thing doesn't end.
Chip
Oh wait, there's more.
Jeff
But wait, there's more. Number seven. These use cases can already be seen in action within the XRP ecosystem with the following teams. Integrating squid on day one. So you have Strobe Finance, XRPL's first money market for lending, borrowing and earning XRP, USDC and other native assets. Gear and labs powering real payments on the XRPL so the users can spend XRP and RL USD anywhere. Visas accepted. That's impressive. I like it. D D Cent wallets hold, send and connect to the entire XRP ecosystem in one trusted wallet. And again, squids integration powers multi chain swaps on Deck's money self custodial XRP wallet for payments swaps, names, social profiles. Oh, on chain identity. Yeah, I like it. Rise Pad, an upcoming token launched on the XRPL where users can onboard liquidity from any chain to buy newly launched tokens. Look at that. If you're into investing in newly launched tokens, that's pretty cool. On chain gm. So that's the leading multi chain platform revolutionizing interactions through innovative daily engagement protocols. Big, big, big, big. And then let's finish it up with 8. As the RLUSD establishes itself. There's more. Are you serious? This is the longest thread in the history of 77. Say squid does really cool things with RL USD and there's like. And we have like a hundred points that we could review but we're not. What's that?
Chip
You read the article next. I'm sure it's more. That's not as exciting as this.
Jeff
This is. This is. But I'm glad they put it out there. Someone took the time to like break it down and this is so in depth. You know the things that they're offering. We're talking about real world utility and engagement. That's what their product's all about. Let's read their statement here. So they took the statement. This comes from Squid co founder Fig. His name is Fig. Ripple has what it takes. Look at that. See it is fake.
Chip
FIG follows me too.
Jeff
How about that?
Political Commentator
I didn't even know that.
Jeff
Is that. Is there any other name in there? No, just fake. Ripple has what it takes to build the most regulated enterprise ready and widely adopted stable COIN in the world. SQUID is proud to support that mission by ensuring ROUSD can move freely and instantly across every chain. That's it. Multi chain. No more silos. And here you go. Their final statement. Scroll it up. Is there another one after zit? 9. That'll be 9 because I just said final statement. We look forward to continuing our efforts expanding accessibility to Our ESD for users, developers and the broader XRPL ecosystem. There you go. Squid powers. Instant cross chain access. This is big news. This is probably one of the the biggest news. See that I like. Chad said a white paper in tweet form.
Chip
Yeah, but wait, there's more.
Jeff
Wait, there's more. Not the end of our thread. Oh no, it is the end.
Chip
I love the graphics. Their graphics are fun. They're playful. It's different. You know, they're. They've got a good kind of look to them. Their logo is different. Usually that kind of stuff in blockchain. I don't see anything that fun in blockchain. Everything in blockchain is boring and looks like blockchain. This their stuff is fun. Stay safu squids. Here we find the Vanilla Bros in their natural habitat. Notice the cautious posture
Political Commentator
as XRP rises another 30%. The vanilla bros remain committed to waiting for confirmation. Fascinating.
Unknown Guest
Yes.
Jeff
Bruce Lee's brother. What is going on? Needed a sleep aid. So I've turned into the Vanilla Bros Bros baby.
Chip
There you go. Sleep aid. If you want to sleep aid, you can read. My wife was doing her master's in accounting. I would just pick up a giant book and read the first. It only had like two paragraphs on the first page. I couldn't even make it past the first one. That's how bad it was. It was like half. I was already half asleep. The squid. The Squid Bros. I like that even better. Squid. Lenny and Squiggy, literally.
Jeff
They literally called Ripple and XRPL part of the world financial system on Fox News when interviewing Garling Hills. There you go.
Chip
It did. They really did.
Jeff
That's it. That's all we got.
Chip
Absolutely did. And then, you know, this what's amazing to me too, and something else you brought up when you said 2020 when you first started doing this.
Jeff
Yeah.
Chip
You never saw any of. Hardly any of. Was the sort of the blockchain press covering this. Now you have people like the block well known. You know, they're talking about squid adding ripples URL USD for cross chain swaps. Of course they didn't get into it. They just had one sentence. They didn't have a. The 77 part thread like we just saw. Oh no.
Jeff
Like squid. Squid showed up and brought it.
Chip
They did get into it here though, Jeff. They. They did a whole article on it. You know, use cases. What's going on?
Jeff
We got so much more from the squid expos than anyone could put in an article. And we just commented on it.
Chip
Yeah, exactly, man. And Zomban. This is kind of a cool feature with Zomban here. Hey, it's Mr. Bullish. Mr. K. We saw Mr. K in Australia.
Jeff
New cartoon.
Chip
Wait, Friday, the Saturday I think for your Aussies. The US is playing Australia in the World Cup. Let's see what happens. This World cup has been phenomenal because we'll get into it later, but it's just been phenomenal to watch the visitors come here from Europe and Australia and all over the world and have a different opinion that they've been preached to for a long time. Why? Because their media lies, all medias lie and they're like just, they're in shock. Jeff Zaman Wallet has just announced something called the Zaman Swap. And you probably say well what the hell is that? Well it's an interface to help leverage the powers of XRP ledgers native exchange. So you have custom routing logic finds the very best path across the XRP ledger, often cheaper trades than elsewhere. So swap any asset and stay in control. And you got a little bit more about that here. Here is what it is. Better routes through smarter pathfinding. Most swap tools, they just take whatever the obvious path is straight from one to another, you know, through XRP as a single step. But Zaman Swap searches for more of the ledger, far more of the ledger. The surfaces, the best route it can find among the options it's already exist on on the ledger. And it includes multi step paths through bridging assets, through other tools that do not consider this matters the most on the thinner, less liquid pairs where a better route exists more often than you would think. So Zaman Swap also suggests the slippage based on the estimated price of your impact to your trade and when you can review it and then you can adjust it before you sign. The route and the rate are determined by the ledger's liquidity at the time of the trade. They're not determined by the by zombie. So that's interesting. I don't, I've really seen that. There we go. It's XRP Hollywood xrp.
Jeff
Everyone give a quick shout out where you're tuning in from. We have viewers as we've seen already in Australia, we got from all over the United States, all over the world, which is amazing. From the tip of South America all the way across to Australia through Europe and beyond. So we got people all over the place.
Chip
We should always do matching shirt day. Jeff. We should wear a blue shirt. I wear a blue shirt. Black shirt. Black shirt.
Jeff
It is matching.
Chip
Hello bros. We're the black bros. Today There you go.
Jeff
How many people are wearing a black shirt?
Chip
New bro. New bro. Shout out to Vanilla Squid, baby.
Jeff
Hang on, wait. The Netherlands?
Chip
Yeah, the Dutch one.
Jeff
Houston text.
Chip
He tied the other day.
Jeff
Yeah.
Chip
You see, Messi had a hat trick yesterday that was amazing to watch. God, that was phenomenal.
Jeff
Yeah, he's.
Chip
I mean, messy, too old to play. Messi was. This was on fire, man. That, that, that shot. Connecticut, the second and third goal were phenomenal.
Jeff
What's up, Isabel?
Chip
Hello, Isabel. Isabelle, your XRP Hollywood is a legend. Let me just tell you, you probably don't know this. He's a legend in this space and he also holds the card of being one of the very first, if not the first watcher of this on the chain broadcast. And that was six years ago.
Jeff
Six years ago. XRP Hollywood.
Chip
So hello to Isabel. There you go.
Jeff
Then we got James coming in from Cincinnati, Ohio. Look at that. Rockford, Illinois. Then we got the whole Detroit contingent or Michigan contingent.
Chip
I gotta ask Chris, Chris online about this because our next story directly affects you. So I want to hear exactly from you because if you were wondering what the anti everything Democrats are up to, well, don't worry anymore because they're only up to one thing and it's never anything good. And that Pritzker, he is a nut job. He doesn't get enough press. It was funny the other day that there was a guy walking around downtown Chicago saying how he was very disappointed that a lot of the Europeans did not come and actually watch. You know, he said it's only a few hours away. Why wouldn't they come? It's a hellhole, dude. They're having so much fun everywhere else. They're having.
Jeff
Yeah. Why would they go there? Doesn't make any sense.
Chip
Look at this story, Jeff. This is maddening. Illinois governor has signed a 0.2 a 20 tax on crypto transactions into law, including transfers between personal wallets. So Jeff, if you're buying on exchange and you're moving it to your wallet, you got to pay 20% tax.
Jeff
These guys are so dumb. And it passed, right? Did it pass or this? He signed it into law. Democrats, these, these governor, these governors in these, in these leftist communist states are signing the death warrant of their state. That's it. Chicago or Illinois is not a leader. That's for sure. In anywhere in the US they don't lead for anything. They're. Chicago lost. They've got nothing. Illinois's got nothing left. What are they doing? They can't even hold on to the Bears. The Bears. How can you not hold the Bears stadium in your own state.
Chip
You know why? Because they gave the two and a half billion dollars to the illegals last year, of course, and money for the stadium. I love the fact that they're just right over the border, about 30 minutes down, you know, right the south, southeast of where the Bears would play. Brand new stadium. No more effing around. The other thing was, if the Bears stayed there, I think their taxes were like 52 million a year versus 30 million a year. I'm sorry, $22 million. A lot of money. But this Pritzker is one of the dumbest humans on the planet. But they all are. Him and then Newsom. Newsom's under investigation, so he's crying like that. You got, you know, vocal in New York, the three loser places that if you want to see what happens in blue cities, they're burning it to the ground. These Democrats, they're doing great for their party and they're probably the best advertisement for Republicans in the history of it. The Crypto Council for Innovation called this the most punitive digital asset tax in the country. Why? Because as of now, it is. But let's see if somebody else one ups him. Let's see, is Newsom going to come around?
Jeff
California, New York, who's first? Who's first, Chip, New York or California?
Chip
That was Mike Myers that played that part. Fritzger, why do you. How do you set a 20%? You're moving it between two wallets and you got to pay a tax. I mean, if you move between. If you move your money between banks, you don't pay a tax. What this is. This is insane. These people are insane. They want more of your money. More your money and things get. Conditions get worse and worse.
Jeff
Right.
Chip
What do we do we hear anything from Chris there on that one? Look at the size of that pork chop. Pritzker. Yeah, well, your brother lives there. Man, I don't know what to say about you. I really have too much crypto.
Jeff
Dumbest person on the planet that makes
Chip
him the extra dumbest person on the planet.
Jeff
So visual Vendetta said, does that tax only apply to Illinois residents? Well, you can't. They can't tax us anywhere else. I mean, I guess he could in theory, but they can't.
Chip
Between personal wallets is the very dumb thing.
Jeff
Personal walls between personal walls. Not. It's not even a realized. There's no realized gain. There's nothing. You're just moving your money. Talk about who's. Who's funding his bill. You know, who's who's they just trace the money back. Where is he getting his money from? I mean, these people are just. Look at this dumb man. They just have no.
Chip
So here it is. The Crypto Council for Innovation. They said this will create an unprecedented tax regimen that disproportionately burdens Illinois residents. Well, what else is new? You get burdened with everything else. No one knocks on your door one day and says, hey, you live in Ilona. I got good news for your taxes are going down. No, never. Always up. It burdens residents for simply using digital assets and will drive innovation and builders out of the state. First of all, I don't think there's. I think it'll drive people out of the state. I don't think anyone's going to leave on this particular thing, but this could be the straw that breaks the camel's back.
Jeff
It's. It's just that. Well, look at, look at exactly what happened in New York with what's his name that's moving all of his. His businesses down to Miami. What's that, Mom?
Chip
Donnie?
Jeff
Yeah, they're. The real estate guy over there or the financial guy. Why can't I think of his name?
Chip
Everybody knows Craig Griffin.
Jeff
Ken Griff. Yeah. So you know he moved everything. They've lost massive amounts of money in New York. New York is being fleeced of everything that they have. You have financial companies moving in droves to West Palm beach in Miami, Texas, Georgia, I mean, all over the place. And now Chicago, who just said that they're going to lose the CME over there's. That's a high probability. You get any of the financial groups, anybody that touches crypto as a financial entity. Gone. They're not going to do business in Illinois anymore. Gone. You're gonna have to. They're gonna have to move because they can't do business in Illinois. If you're. If it. If it truly is moving a stable asset from one wallet to the next, where there's no gain, you're just moving it around from wallet to wallet. No transaction, no realized gain. This is worse. I mean, this is just unprecedented. It's horrible. And I. Dni. There you go, man. We haven't seen DNI in a long time.
Chip
You might have to explore the KYC account information on that. Whether or not the transaction is tied by IP or account info. I don't know if they know where your wallet is or, you know, what you're moving, but I'm wondering if it applies to you buying an exchange and move it to you know, a wallet. That's insane to me. Like, this is so, like, it.
Jeff
It.
Chip
We're at the point. We're at that parody point where you think these stories are parody, but they're not.
Elsa
Ch.
Chip
Like every time, like, the Babylon Bee is forecasted. So many things with their joking around, they're actually. They're actually true. They come true like, a couple months later. Yeah, it's getting to the point where it's so silly. So why would Ripple want to come to Chicago? That's a great question.
Jeff
Is it April 1st
Chip
in the Netherlands? Starting in 2027, they want to make you pay for unrealized profits. I heard. Did that really go through? Because I thought.
Jeff
Yeah, I thought they pulled it.
News Reporter
Don't know.
Chip
Netherlands played the other day too. That was a great game, man. There's been so many great matches. I can't watch them all, man. It's like there's too many. But I find myself peeking at the. At the. What's England destroyed. Yeah, the England 4, 2, 20 on
Jeff
any transaction, including if you're moving funds from an exchange to a wallet.
Chip
Yeah, if you're moving it.
Jeff
Does it say exchange? Exchange.
Chip
And it's not like it's a 3% tax, like. Well, yeah, I guess. 3%, 20%. That's. That's a lot. 21/5 of whatever you're moving, you. You lose. It's like, oh, I moved it to the wrong wallet. I'll move it to this wallet. There's another 20. Oh, I moved it. Oh, maybe I'll put it back at the exchange.
Jeff
Craig just said, guys, I love listen. I just love listening to you. My message just said you both moan as much as I do.
Chip
Oh, yeah, we do. We're all the same, man. We're. We're crypto bros. We're crypto bros and gals. And of course we are. Sure. Dude is in the house. Rod is here. Beautiful.
News Anchor
It's.
Chip
Again, I. It. We're at the point right now. I just can't tell if we're. If it's parody or not.
Jeff
I think it is.
Chip
So, Ellie, Terry, because we're getting the error of bad news. It's not anything we didn't thought about, but she said, you know why the math doesn't work for a July 4th clarity act, right? Get signing into what? Well, she says there's only nine working days until recess. Lawmakers still need to resolve ethics, merge, text, navigate procedural hurdles. Why? Because the anti everything Democrats. That's why. In case you were wondering, I call them the Anti everything. They're anti growth, they're anti innovation, they're anti American. We got a study that proves they're anti American. They're anti everything. Anything that's positive, they're against anything negative. What did, what did they do? They went to the, the, the reflecting pool today because it got algae. Right. And they were, they're taking the water and they're going to, they're going to send it off to an independent lab. Well, the same thing happened a month after Obama spent $34 million redoing it. And there was algae in there. So I don't know if somebody dumped some stuff in there, if somebody sabotaged.
Jeff
I was reading something on it. It's part of the natural cycle. So they just beautified it, did whatever they did present in the system. Plus you have a major body of water. X amount of water deep, you know, or a feet deep, whatever it is.
Chip
Yeah, it's not deep.
Jeff
It's out in the sun. So algae is going to grow, you know, but they put their chemicals and it's got to cycle through the system and then they get rid of it. Right. See, I just want to say same thing. Dead algae in the pipes. It takes time for it to cycle through. And they just got it in that period of time. Stuff happens.
Chip
But cnn, CNN was, is taking water samples today. Freaking weirdos.
Jeff
So bad.
Chip
You know what I said, Jeff? After four years against learning anti crypto Democrat army, you'd think that they might have learned something. No, no. The anti everything Democrats are right back at it, attacking decentralization, innovation, anything that threatens their preferred system of what, Jeff? Centralized control. You got to be dependent on the government. Bring in illegals, they'll vote for us. Make them keep a permanent lower class of people so they can vote for us.
Jeff
God.
Chip
That's how it works, Jeff.
Jeff
So they love it.
Chip
They love it. They love it.
Jeff
All right, Chris, we talked about the Illinois digital asset tax. Hopefully talked about that enough.
Chip
We just, we just discussed it.
Jeff
Visual vendetta. You're going to tune in here Saturday morning, 8:00am Eastern Standard Time, because we want to. He wants to hear what Hugo has to say. 5, 5 seconds away from dumping all of his flare. That was.
Chip
If you do that, you realize we're all going to be rich. Right? The second you do that, we're going to be loaded. Anytime I make a sale, it just does a hockey stick every single time without fail.
Jeff
James was saying earlier, James Boone was saying over the last five years there's like 14 billion more XRP on The market from what I've checked if it keeps keeps increasing, how will the price go down? What are your thoughts on that? Is it.
Chip
Does it predict anymore? Jeff I don't even know. Jury's out.
Jeff
Very speculative.
Chip
It's all speculative. But I think clarity is going to be a big role because finally there really are no barriers like especially with institutional what's happening. I, I just don't. Everybody's still a little bit scared. If you're a company you're just always, always talking to attorneys and just a little bit under everything the radar let's not but when you get clarity and the there's rules to the road. I do think it's probably going to set off a nice run. It will be a big one like we've seen in prior years. I just think it could be pretty big. But we'll see who knows.
Jeff
Ron that's right. The Appalachian American, Alicia Grammer is saying I Bought XRP at 0.24 back in 2020. Sold out of necessity in 24 ready to buy back in the time is not. That's right.
Chip
Time is right. Well it's cool that you can't buy it. No, it's not gonna be 24 but it's not it wasn't three. It's not 350 either. So there you go.
Jeff
Gains. Yeah. Still opportunities. Whole market as opportunities and all the
Chip
Dem singing that stupid song. It was so bad. No. At least Edith and Archie were entertaining. These aren't even entertaining.
Jeff
No.
Chip
And then this Jeff from Ellie Terrace, he says the Trump endorsed and crypto backed Rep. Barry Moore won the GOP primary runoff in Alabama's open Senate seat, defeated Jared Hudson and Fair Shake. We talk about Fair Shake, which is a pack spent more than 12 million in the race and provided the following statement after the victory touting its hefty war chest. Our biggest spend of the cycle yielded yet another pro innovation champion in the senate with nearly 150 million in cash on hand and people like Ripple and Coinbase, a lot of cool big crypto companies give it to the pack. The pack then goes in and puts it behind crypto positive candidates. I don't know what they're going to do with John Deaton. John Deaton had a, he had a phenomenal show last night in the debate but against the Democrat running against Mackie because, because Mackie, who's the incumbent for 50 years, he's not going to show up and get destroyed by it. He must have seen what happened with the, with the fake Indian Pocahontas So there you have it right there. This winner, winner, chicken dinner. Jeff, you gotta love that. $12 million are back in the pro crypto candidates.
Jeff
Some money, money to the pro cryptos. So if Ripple will use the stable coin, if Ripple will use the stablecoin sandwich with RL USD, what does XRP have to do with cross border the xrpl?
Chip
Well, you're still going to be used. It's still, it's still a. What do you call it? Still used in the transaction.
Jeff
Transaction. Chad said the maximum is 100 billion XRP. That's right. And it's deflationary because. Because of the trans correct burn. That's it. Craig's out. Obviously it's late.
Chip
Get some sleep. Yeah, go ahead. You don't want to bother the Mrs. Go ahead.
Jeff
Great show. Thank you very much.
Chip
Getting on to the. By the way, it's our venture into geopolitics now. We're going to venture.
Jeff
Before we do that, anyone who's tuned in here, make sure you subscribe if you're brand new here. Got decent number of people tuned in on YouTube. We got almost 200. Between YouTube and X we've got right now it shows 137. We're up to like 180. Tuning in live on. On YouTube actually was close to 200 at one point. I love the fluctuation here but make sure you guys like subscribe to the channel if you haven't done it before. Want to check out onthechain IO go check that out. Look at the past shows and check it out. Saturday morning, 8:00am Eastern Standard Time. Tune in here because we are going to talk to Hugo Filion from Flair. Got it all spun up. Amazing conversation. We're gonna dig in and tear apart some of the cool things that they're getting into. So you gotta tune into that one. It's gonna be awesome.
Chip
It's gonna be incredible. Jeff, I'm really looking forward to.
Jeff
You ran into Hugo someplace?
Chip
Yeah, I was in when I was at Swell. He actually, actually threw in this one pub. They threw a little sort of like a kind of a get together and I kind of walked there kind of late. I wasn't even sure if Hugo was still there. He's in the back. He's in the back of this bar in the back. And when I went back there and sat down at a table with him, he was just sitting around himself. Well, there's a bunch of people around him. I kind of just pushed my way into the place and I was like sat down next I'm like, what's up? We chatted for, like, 15 or 20 minutes. He was funny. He was a lot. We were laughing. It wasn't really like, tell me all about flair. No, it was just, like, hanging out, having fun. He's a funny guy. And I just really enjoyed. I'm like, hugo, you gotta come on our podcast. He goes, I will come on your podcast. I promise. Like, okay. So that was swell. And then it took. And then there was some mishaps with my email where his assistant did get back to me, but somehow that email got buried, and I pinged Hugo again. He's like, wait a minute, I have a thing. And I was like. And then, what's weird, it was like, in my inbox. But for some reason, I. Twice. So we finally put that together, so part of it was my fault.
Jeff
Hooked up, so it's all good. Visual vendetta. Said I watch his show just for the geopolitics. So everyone that's new here, get ready, just rant.
Chip
It's our legendary. That's the best part.
Jeff
Grab onto your seat, put your seat belts on, because we're gonna dig in. This is where we connect all the dots. Because if you don't understand the geopolitics of the financial, then, yeah.
Chip
Let me just tell you this little story, Jeff. So I. I had to go to Wells Fargo because I had to explain to them on the phone that my business has been in business since 2004, doesn't have checks. Because I said, there's something new. It's called the Internet.
Jeff
I was online.
Chip
I really was talking to this lady. She's like, okay. And I said, you're going to be surprised, but since the 90s, I use something called online payments. She's like, okay. And I'm like, it's 2026. I was filling out this credit app, and I needed a cancel check, right? And I go, what do I. And I'm. And I'm pinging the guy. I'm like, well, what do I need? He's like, well, you don't never cancel check, dude, I haven't.
Jeff
I.
Chip
Even if I haven't a personal check, I have to ask my wife. She has checks. I don't have any checks who use it. I mean, come on. I'm an early adopter of this stuff. Should I check this out? So I go. I go, all right. So I go into the bank. Now, the funny thing was, I thought my appointment was yesterday. Turns out I got the notice pop up on my phone. Today. It was today. Because when I went to the brand, they go, you sure it's at this branch? I'm like, yeah. I showed him on the phone. I go, this is the right address, or am I at the wrong place? I go, no, it's the right one. Okay. So guy comes out, and he goes, what seemed. What are you looking for? I said, well, I was told I need a bank letter. He goes, what's a bank letter? I'm like, I don't know. I told me I need a bank letter because I don't have a canceled check. He goes, mean, like, for, like, direct deposit? I'm like, no, not for direct deposit. Like, they need a letter. He means, like, he called it something else. I'm like, I guess. And I texted the guy. He's like, yeah, that's what it is. So you want to call me? You want to talk to this guy? He's like. So I go in his office, sit down. This is the greatest thing ever, Jeff. We're sitting there, and I go like, hey. So I'm like, so we're talking. He goes like, hey, man, curiosity. You into crypto? I'm like, I am. He goes, okay. He goes. I go, are you into crypto? He's like, huh? And I go, yeah. I go, well, did you get into Bitcoin? Is that how you got here?
News Reporter
No.
Chip
How'd you get. How'd you get the crypto? Xrp. I'm like, really? A banker that's into xrp? Wow. This is going to be an interesting, interesting afternoon. I was like, okay. And he says, yeah. And. And I said, well, you know, I do a podcast with my buddy. We've been doing it for six years. Most of it's featured on. We do crypto, but a lot of it is featured on XRP is really. And he goes, well, what YouTubers do you like that are in the crypto space? So I start naming the familiar ones. We know he heard of them. And he started. He named two to cover XRP for a long time. Never heard of them. I'm like, this is weird. I'm like, it's not like I'm alternate universe. It's offset by a little bit. I'm like, so crazy. Oh, somebody messing with me. So weird thing. I need a bank letter. All of a sudden, right as I'm sitting there, the guy's not even doing the letter because we're having this engaging conversation. The guy texts me a thing. He goes, I can send you a plaid link and just click on there and verify I'm like, dude, you made me go in the rain out of my way to a bank. I never go to banks. The link and just put my credentials in there. I was so pissed. But I was cool that it was fun that I met this, this guy. And then he says to me, so look, I'll tell you this. Our podcast is half crypto and then the last half is all geopolitics. He's like, geopolitics? Like, what do you mean? Like, what do you like? What kind of politics? I'm like, well, if you like the conservative slide, you're gonna love our podcast. He goes, I'm conservative. This sounds great. So I was like, what kind of a weird morning is this? Xrp, Conservative politics. He said he named a podcast. He goes, hey, do you ever listen to that podcast? And I'm like, dude, I showed my phone. I'm like, I was listening to it on the way over. He's like, what? Nope, I can't have a conversation? I go, do people think you're crazy, Tom, when you start talking to him about XRP and political stuff? He's like, yes. I'm like, dude, give me. So I texted him today. I go, dude, we gotta grab a beer sometime. We got a lot to talk about. I was like a banker. That's an xrp. Anyway, I thought that was a fun, fun story, like slag the Dems podcast. Yeah, I was. Anyway, so they have the G7, Trump's there. Trump's all day. At the next thing you know, four in the morning, gets on, the thing jumps off. So here is one of these body language experts. Let's watch this.
Political Commentator
Mertz Maloney, Antonio Costa, all kind of lined up like school children waiting for an autograph. Trump looks at the camera by himself, thumbs up. There you go. There's the photograph for Friedrich Merch's social channels. Okay, so this was supposed to be the summit where the so called middle powers emerged. No more European fawning to Trump. Well, how did that go? Let's have a look at some of the moments and see what you think. Vlensky was the big leader. Big arrival this morning. Friendly greeting from President Macron. Hug and a handshake. And then it's kind of long walk to the conference hotel. Slow stopping at times. All of it caught on microphone, talking about different things. But guess what? They were talking about Donald Trump.
Jeff
Do you have bilaterals being organized?
Chip
Who is President Trump?
Political Commentator
In fairness to Vladimir Zelensky, his country's been invaded. He has a war to win. And to do that, he Kind of needs Donald Trump on side. And as we know, that has not always been the case.
Jeff
You're gambling with World War three.
Political Commentator
So here's the two of them meeting in a bilateral Marco Rubio, the Secretary of State standing in the middle of them, and they're sitting close to each other, like really close. We don't know what was discussed or what was agreed upon, if anything, but it looks friendly. What about the other leaders, though? What about their interactions with Trump? Well, least at this is the main kind of summit room. Trump walks in, greets President Macron. Handshake for the President of the European Commissioner, Ursula von der Leyen, the Japanese Prime Minister. Short handshake with Keir Starmer. And then look at this. Carney, Mertz, Meloni, Antonio Costa, all kind of lined up like school children waiting for an autograph. Macron, the host, stood back from it all slightly hand in pocket. The kind of cool confidence of the leader who's running the show here. Okay, I think this is one of my highlights. The German Chancellor Frederick Mertz has presented Donald Trump with a German football shirt. The number 47. He's 47th president on the back with his name. We knew that he was going to do this. Mertz had teased us that he was going to give him a birthday present. We didn't know what. Well, it's a German football shirt. Trump turning away there, not quite sure what to make of it. He looks a bit underwhelmed. But come in. He beckons Mertz. There you go. There's the photograph for Friedrich Merch's social channels. And then Trump just folds it up, puts it to one side, no doubt to hand to an aid at the first possible moment, never to be worn or seen again. Well, talking of awkward, what about this one? That the leaders are all gathered around the table, including other invited ones like El Sisi from Egypt, the leaders of Qatar and the UAE as well. They're waiting this just before lunch and they're waiting to have a photo. But look, there's an empty seat there. Who's missing? Sakir Starmer. But Macron having waited long enough, decides to go ahead, has the photo regardless. Apparently Starmer was running late because of a TV interview that overrun one of the warmest meetings was between father, the Egyptian president and Donald Trump here, who even gets up off his chair to greet him. There's a sort of kind of semi hug and then is it a handshake or sort of a hand grab?
Chip
He whispered to Macron, you sit right there, you devil. Let me get up and talk to a real leader over here.
Political Commentator
Grab double hands there from the Egyptian. But Trump seems to be talking to Macron a lot. Not necessarily. I mean, talking about certainly the Egyptian leader.
Chip
I think he's talking. I think he's talking at him. Not.
Political Commentator
We don't want to say. This is the family photo. They do this every year. It's always a good moment to kind of get a sense of the way things are going, the body language, who stands where, what's the choreography like? Look who's in the middle. Trump, of course. Thank you.
Elsa
Thank you.
Political Commentator
So is there a serious point to all this? Well, yeah, there kind of is. Look at this. Right into the family photo. Trump looks at the camera by himself, thumbs up. However much the Europeans might try and distance themselves and go it alone, he is still the leader of the free world. He knows it, and so do they.
Chip
Yeah, that was some stunning commentary.
Jeff
Just. That was really good. He's just, like, dead center, too.
Chip
Jeff, tell me on this video I want to see. I'm going to put this out there. Tell me if you guys can tell the difference here. Tell me if you can tell the difference between the previous leader of the United states at the G7 and the current one. Oh, previous one's on the left. Here we go.
News Anchor
Did you.
Jeff
Did you not. Hello, I'm the boss.
Political Commentator
How are you?
Jeff
I'm good, thank you.
Chip
This is great, because if you look on the left, there's old Joe. He doesn't know where he is. He's looking around. He wanders off. They had to go. Remember? They had to go grab him.
Jeff
Yep.
Chip
He just started wandering, looking.
Jeff
Yeah. Nobody staring off into space.
Chip
Yeah, there they go. Excuse me. We're taking a photo. Yeah. Georgia Maloney, she has to say, we're taking a photo. You pathetic.
News Anchor
Was that.
Chip
Now, Jeff, you remember earlier I said that the Democrats hate America. CNN's been surprised me a lot lately. This is one of it. Look at this.
News Anchor
Stunning divides that we have seen. You know, we're talking about polarization in politics. It even comes down to what you believe July 4th actually is like. What does July 4th mean to you? Celebrate America. Friends and family time among Republicans. What do you see? You see the clear majority say it's a time to celebrate America. 65% among Democrats, however, the plurality disagrees. Look at that. What do you see? Friends and family time at 42% versus just 24% who say that, what it means, most of them is to celebrate America. So even on the basic question of what July 4th means to you. We have Republicans on one end saying celebrate America. More of them say that. And Democrats on the other end saying that it means more to them to have time with friends and family. You know what?
Jeff
There was something even more interesting in this whole number. What was the third question they asked? So there's three questions, obviously, celebrate family time. Something's missing. 66% of Dems answered this way. So what happened to the others? Where. Where are the others? You know that that's a big number. On the Republican side, we're at 88%, so we're 12% off. So what happened again? What was that third question? What were they asking them? And then, you know, so I think it's really.
Chip
I think the other one was, would you rather drink your own vomit? Something like that. I don't know what it was. It's hard to know. But this is. I mean, they think it's stunning. I'm like, this is not stunning. This is absolutely so predictable. Like. Like you didn't expect. You didn't expect a high number from the Dems on celebrating America. There's nothing to celebrate.
Jeff
Yeah, yeah.
News Anchor
American flag back in July of 2001. Look at this. Yet 68% of Republicans, 65% of Democrats saying that they even.
Chip
Right? Pretty much even in July 2001. Okay, that was before. Was before 9, 11. Well, you, you know, of course, you expect somebody a little bit more patriotic, but here you about pretty even 65 in male and 68 ahead, you know, on. On 2001.
News Anchor
But today, in fact, display the flag on July 4th. You come over to this side of the screen. Republicans basically are where they were 25 years ago, right? 64%. But look at that Democratic percentage absolutely plummeting. Just 27% of Democrats say they will, in fact display the flag on July 4th. Democrats and Republicans in different camps, even on the simple question of display, you
Chip
don't want to put your flag up. I mean, my flag flies every day of the year, Jeff. Every day it's out there.
News Anchor
The flag on July 4, a polarization, a split that simply put, did not exist.
Chip
Giving me. Vince from. What was that? Vince from the. The cleaner thing. Hey, it's Vince.
Jeff
All right, the sham one.
Chip
It goes all the way down. Sham. Now, Vince from sham. I think Vince would do a great job on the show. This is a crazy. Goes all the way down. Hey, cameraman, check this out.
News Anchor
A generation ago, what about the sloganeering
Jeff
about proud to be an American?
News Anchor
Okay, what about this idea? Are you proud to be an American? American by the way can they get
Chip
any more two soy boys. What's Tommy went in any way you
News Anchor
want it now extremely or very proud to be an American again. Look at this divide, a growing divide on this question back In January of 2001, 90% of Republicans, 85% of Democrats. This was after a very contentious 2000 election. Keep in mind, right with George W. Bush coming into the White House. You come over to this side of the screen in 2026. Look at this again. The Democratic percentage absolutely plummets to just 29% of Democrats say they're extremely are very proud to be an American. That Republican percentage the exact same 90 and 90. The Democratic percentage, what is that? That's basically a third of the level that it was just 25 years ago. I think you're right to point out
Jeff
the was a time
Chip
it's Jeff, are you surprised by any of this? Is there any surprise going on in your mind?
Jeff
No, no. But 29. I'm wondering who they're asking. Let's go back to Democrats, you know, pre 911 and let's see where that where did their 2001 poll fall? Was it before 911 or after 911?
Chip
So as you know, Gavin Newsome is up. He's under investigation. He came out with a crying video because he's going to run president and you know that Trump wants to target him and Trump sends mean tweets to him. And well, CNN disagree because the facts are not on Gavin Newsom's side.
News Reporter
Seabel Newsom, the wife of California's Governor and potential 2028 presidential contender Gavin Newsom is currently under federal investigation for possible tax crimes. The full scope of the investigation into to the first partner is unclear. The documentary filmmaker founded Representation Project, a nonprofit focused on gender equity in media.
Elsa
I love champion and focusing on uplifting and supporting women and girls.
News Reporter
She also owns a film production company called Girls Club Entertainment, which is listed as a contractor on the Representation Project's tax returns. And she co founded the California Partners Project, a nonprofit that works to get more women onto corporate boards, address the gender pay gap and make tech safer for children. Critics have raised the possibility of self dealing for years despite no public evidence of wrongdoing. While it is unclear what exactly investigators are focused on, they have recently interviewed potential witnesses, including people close to the first couple. Sources tell CNN that the governor is not directly under investigation, but he has framed the probe as politically motivated and targeting him.
Jeff
Donald Trump isn't just coming after me because of my mean tweets.
Chip
He's Coming after me because I'm considering running for president.
News Reporter
The tax probe is not the only recent investigation into someone in Newsom's orbit. His former chief of staff, Dana Williamson was recently prosecuted related to corruption. She pleaded guilty to three charges earlier this year. President Trump has made it clear he wants his Justice Department to pursue his political enemies. Just last year he called for Newsom to be arrested and has attacked him repeatedly.
Jeff
He's ruined. California gives health care to anybody.
News Reporter
CNN has learned the current investigation was launched last year by the U.S. attorney's office in Sacramento.
Chip
Was launched on a whistleblower, Jeff. Of course it all comes down to it was during the Biden administration, of course, and it was a whistleblower. So when somebody close to it basically, you know, blew them in. So this is crazy. XRP Hollywood says my Cuban born wife and now an American citizen is proud to be American as is my foreign born wife to be an American. So there you go. There you have. There you have it. Jeff. You know what? They're not playing anymore. It used to be when these antifa people would try to like mess around with the federal building, well, a bunch of antifa members got basically, I think set up the slam. But look at this. The best thing you can do to combat these things is bear spray. Jeff, watch these people get bear sprayed. It's fantastic and glorious at the same time.
Jeff
Oh my God.
Unknown Guest
You.
Jeff
You fascist, you.
Chip
Thank you.
Jeff
They can't take it. Can't keep the people out of the money.
Chip
You get the idea, Jeff. The only thing you really can do
Jeff
don't is paid protesters of course a lot of paper.
Chip
I don't. Even if I'm paid, I'm not going. When they start bear spraying, I'm gone. I'm sorry, but you know, I gotta. Even if I'm getting paid, I got a limit, right? They don't have a limit.
Jeff
Look at this. Depending on what happens, they get paid more.
Chip
California is pressuring public utilities to award 633 million in special contracts to the LGBT owned firms. Are there a lot of LGBT owned firms to qualify state's official gay certification program. You could face up to a year in jail if you're not gay enough. What if you just say you're gay because you want the contract but you're not really gay? So Jeff, they base. So Rothma says they basically went from born gay to feel gay to identify as gay. And now the government's telling you whether you're gay or not. Stay run gate certifications peak statism achieved. But I'll Bite for entertainment. How gay is gay enough? How do I prove it?
Jeff
That's the entertainment industry.
Chip
I'm the queen of the gays.
Jeff
Yeah.
Chip
Stuff writes itself.
Jeff
It's got to be a joke. How is this stuff real anymore? Where's the Babylon B? It's April Fools. Come on.
Chip
So, Jeff, those people that were rioting, they were at the House in St. Paul, Minnesota, because 15 members were indicted by the DOJ. So they thought they would get angry.
Jeff
That's right. Take them down one by one. One by one BY1.Data. WTF? One year in jail for not being gay enough.
Chip
Can you imagine that? Well, Jeff, this new SEC guy. I don't know, Paul, whatever his name is, I don't know, he's always talking about, we're gonna write rules for crypto because we're the good team.
News Reporter
No.
Chip
No, you're not. We don't let the government, Congress take care of that. You just do your job there, buddy. And once it does pass, you won't have anything to do with crypto. So we have to listen to you anymore. Well, Jeff, people always say you never criticize the Trump administration. You're such a sycophant. This is the dumbest idea I've heard. Okay, read this one, Jeff.
Jeff
There we go. What do we have here? This is the SEC rule 2720, 2615 would let public companies hide bad numbers for six months at a time. Insiders dump their shares before disclosure. Retail buys. The bag comment is open until early July. No.
Chip
So what this is all about is they want to change the quarterly rule of reporting. You know why you want to change? They want to do it twice a year instead of quarterly. And this is why. It's. Keep it quarterly for the 10. You know, the 10Q. You know, why. Why would you. Why would you want to let companies skate, hide stuff, manipulate stuff? It's bad enough they're going to report quarterly. You're an investor. You're going to want to wait six months for somebody to come out with an earnings report. They only do it because they have to disclose that. These public companies. This is a bad idea, in my opinion. It's a very dumb idea. Why would you change this? There's so many cool things you can change, like the sun, whatever that is. Like, you keep at the same time. We don't change the clocks anymore. I'm down with that. This whole thing, like letting companies skate. Jeff, what's your opinion on this? You think this is a good idea? I think it's.
Jeff
I mean, if we're if you're a company, you publicly held report quarterly. Let the. Let the investors have a concept of which direction you're going in and that's it. I mean, of all. Of all the things they could focus on to adjust, change, improve on, this is the one thing that they're gonna. That they're gonna rest on. It doesn't make any sense. I don't. I don't understand why they do things that just are just make no sense unless there's a plan for some other. And get another rule coming after that. But it's.
Chip
Yeah, it's just. To me, it's just like, you know, why don't you keep it. Why don't you keep it, you know, together like. Like that if all the things you could possibly change rule on that just doesn't seem like one that you really need to worry about. Like, quarterly is good. It's. It's quarterly for a reason.
Jeff
Just leave it alone.
Chip
Investors, people invest in these companies, they're going to want to wait, you know, more time. It's just ridiculous though. How long do they want to wait? Silly. I think it's absolutely silly. So anyway, let's get to. So let's talk a little bit about Norwegians, about the World Cup. The greatest thing ever happened in the United States is so the Norwegians are crazy. They have this. They do this weird thing where they row in inside the stadiums and the Scots.
Jeff
Things have been out.
Chip
Scots are basically burning down. The Scots drink every. All the beer in one bar. Like. And this is Boston.
Jeff
In Boston. I think they went through all of Boston. I don't know. The guy said we drank all the beer. Now there's only Bud Light left. Obviously they can't drink that.
Chip
Nobody wanted, so I don't blame them. So here are the Norwegians. Here they are, Jeff. This is what they do. They see something moving and they get in the rowing position. There they are. And here's another angle of it right here.
Jeff
You gotta love. All the beer in Boston. They had to bring a. Emergency shipments in.
Chip
Go. So, Jeff, they were open bars at
Jeff
like 10:30 in the morning or earlier just for the Scots. The Scots are chanting at baseball games. They went to a. A rodeo. They were chanting and singing at the rodeo.
Chip
They're singing sweet at the top of.
Jeff
The videos are great. Yeah.
Chip
So the, the Norwegians were rowing so hard they moved the stadium. Check this out. That was pretty good to parody his AI videos. Man. Was that fantastic or what?
Jeff
One of the best.
Chip
How about this? Some more from the world Cup Here, let's check this out.
Jeff
These are hilarious.
Chip
Wondering what this is, Jeff? This. These are soccer fans from around the world. So here we've got a lovely little Dutch girl. And she's got the Dutch flag on her face, right?
Jeff
Yep.
Chip
Netherlands. Here's an Aussie sitting there. She's. She's excited. She's got the, you know, the Australian flag on both sides of her face. Only wearing Australian shirt. There's a Swedish girl, nice blonde girl. She's got the Swedish flag on her face. Excited, wearing the jersey. Well, there's the United Kingdom. And it looks like. I don't know who it is, Jeff, but it might be a woman. I can only see the eyes because completely covered head to toe.
Unknown Guest
Wait.
Chip
Again, I think it's a woman. I'm not 100% sure. There's a French.
Jeff
Oh, my God. People are so creative.
Chip
You really gotta love it. Listen to this European, Jeff.
Jeff
Been lied to my entire life about America.
Foreign Visitor
America.
Chip
It is happening.
Jeff
Do you see it?
Foreign Visitor
People who aren't American who have traveled to the World cup are realizing they've been lied to. Before traveling to America, foreigners would just think America is this place they would hear about on the news all the time. It's a horrible place. But when you strip that back, like I've been doing for years, traveling America, so many different states, you realize the beauty of America, the different cultures, how amazing the people are. And the World cup has allowed people outside of America to see America through their own eyes, not through their country's media eyes.
Chip
This is incredible.
Foreign Visitor
And I couldn't be happier for America. The world is realizing when you strip back, the negativity you get and you realize how beautiful America really is.
Chip
Gotta love that, man. It really has been an extraordinary people. So tell those who haven't been here.
Jeff
Yeah, it's amazing.
Chip
Just say to them, hey, look, if this is what you thought America was, do you trust your media? What else do you think they're saying?
Jeff
What else do you think exactly?
Chip
Spewing. We talked about. You mentioned the Scots earlier, Jeff. This is the Scots in a pub. They're singing the national anthem louder than any American. Look at this. There you go. Democrats don't even know the words.
Jeff
Amazing.
News Anchor
Not sure.
Chip
What was that, Jeff?
Jeff
Impressive. Impressive, Jeff.
Chip
There's going to be some. You're going to find some irony
Jeff
or
Chip
how they sound because this is. This is another European dude that's on CNN with Fake Tapper talking about how he was, you know, thought the US was something completely different because of guys like Fake tapper and his ilk. Around the world, this liberal media, we
Jeff
have a lot of rather negative news about the Americans in the last five years, let's say that. And I think we are all enjoying, like the fact that this country is so great to visit. The people are amazing, so welcoming. The culture is amazing. It's like Europeans are getting a new view of America right now. Yep, exactly. They've been lied to for so long by. Oh, yeah, cnn.
Chip
You think this one is the best, Jeff? This Swedish girl got converted in 48 hours. Took 48 hours and she's all in. This is. I just got. I just got hip to this podcast. This. This lady is actually pretty funny Swedish
Elsa
woman named Elsa who discovered ranch dressing. And she's like, why did no one tell me Ranch sauce is like crack?
News Reporter
Europe.
Elsa
We need ranch asap. This is where it starts, Elsa. Ranch is the gateway drug to American culture. First it's ranch, then it's Br Buc Ees. Then you're marrying a guy with a pickup truck, a gun and a boat for weekends at the lake. A simple man who owns an H vac servicing franchise free AC for the rest of your life. Elsa. It's not a bad deal. Elsa later posted. Currently flying over the mountains of Colorado with faster WI fi than I have at home. What are we doing wrong in Europe? The USA has completely radicalized me within 48 hours.
Political Commentator
America.
Elsa
That's because we innovate, Elsa. The last thing you guys invented was the printing press. No, I'm just kidding. It was World War. No, I'm just kidding. The last thing Europe invented was America. And then we set ourselves free.
Chip
Jim D's finally caught up podcast called Dumpster Fire. It's pretty funny.
Jeff
Jim D's been 20, 30 minutes behind us this whole time. So he finally caught up. He must have fast forwarded. Listen to us double time.
Chip
You fast forward through the commercials. That's what I always do, the commercial. Do we have any commercials, Jeff?
Jeff
I don't think we don't have any midstreams.
Chip
No.
Jeff
A little while they put midstreams, then we remove them. I'd want a mid. It'd be cool to have midstream commercials on the live. I don't know. It doesn't work. What are we gonna do? You know, you break for a commercial. We're still talking. It's not like we're pausing for a break. And for the. For a commercial break?
Chip
No, not at all. So we got a couple. We have three more videos to play. This here's A. Here's a. Here's a Brit talking. Let's hear what he has to say.
Unknown Guest
Extremely apparent to me after spending a few days here with a group of Americans and other nationalities, is how much of a English people are in general when it comes to arms, guns, and basically protecting the nation. We've been totally pacified in the UK and through removal of arms, our arms, our right to bear arms. It's caused a big problem for us, and now our government is basically turning into this absolutely tyrannical feminine leadership that is gradually eroding all of our rights, and there's really not much we can do about it.
Chip
No, because you gave up your guns and now you're ruled by a feminazi. Jeff, this video has nothing to do with crypto or politics, but wouldn't it be cool if you could somehow live what it would be like to own a lot of exact animals that weren't exotic? Check this out. Now, what you're seeing there, somebody took those. Clever. They took a dog's face and put it through a hole in a picture to make it look like all these animals. And what's weird is it really looks like every animal. That looks like a tiger, right? Look in the thing, right? It's a tiger. I mean, if you didn't see the paper, that's a freaking tiger.
Jeff
A little baby lion.
Chip
Look, a baby lion. Look at that.
Unknown Guest
It's a cheat.
Chip
It's a. What is it? Cheetah, right? With the spots. It looks like a cheetah. Jeff, Look at that. What is that?
Jeff
Oh, my God. People are too funny. I mean, oh, my God, a bull.
Chip
Look at that. How is that not. Seriously, how's that not a giraffe? It really is fantastic.
Jeff
What comes up with. What are you sitting around one day like, you know what? I'm gonna print up these pictures, I'm gonna put them on my dog's nose.
Chip
Everyone thought it was amazing. A hyena. That's what it was. A hyena. That's crazy, right? Nobody can believe. You know what? They're just going to replace him with Starmer 2.0. That's what they did with. You know, you got rid of the governor. He got. You got the next worst version of him. You got rid of the last crappy mayor. You got next worst version. There's somebody out there, it's worse than Starmer, so they replace them with the same. It's come to the time of the. At the end of this podcast, and I wanted to leave it on a high note.
Jeff
Right.
Chip
Sing the national anthem. Like this kid belts it out. This kid should sing at every, every like high profile match. It should be this little girl. She's phenomenal. Listen to this. They gave me like, gave me like chills.
Elsa
Oh, can you see by the dawn's early light what so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming Whose bright stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight Just wait. Were so gallantly streaming and the rockets.
Chip
Bursting.
Unknown Guest
Whoa.
Elsa
Who sa does that? Storm spangled then
Chip
big finish. Jeff, hang on for it. Wow. I mean, I think she seven. I mean, my God, it was insane.
Jeff
That's amazing. Unbelievable. Oh, gosh.
Chip
I started watching, I said when she, she got that little growl in her voice, man, that was something else. Then she hit the, then she hit the one above it. Then she hit the tall one like little Mariah Carey. I was like, what the hell? That was insane, Jeff.
Jeff
Yeah, it's amazing.
Chip
Something tell you I loved it. Well, that's all the time we have, Jeff. What's coming up on Saturday? Tell everybody what's happening on Saturday.
Jeff
Yeah, nothing to come up. Got nothing. Saturday, don't worry about it. 8:00am Eastern Standard Time. Show up Hugo Filon, you know who he's the co founder of? Oh, yeah. A little company called Flare Flares. Building on the XRPL flares, creating smart contracts and so many other amazing things. We're going to dig in, have a lot of fun with Hugo. We're going to talk about. Maybe we won't even talk about crypto. He would just talk about things he likes to do, you know, for fun outside of crypto, what his favorite drinks are, his favorite movie, you know, what kind of pet he had growing up. And then maybe we'll spend five minutes talking about crypto now. We're looking forward to it. It's going to be amazing. Definitely show up. 8:00am Eastern Standard Time. As always with all of our shows, we're going to have a lot of good banter, a lot of good fun and make sure you show up with your strong, strong coffee. Get your double espressos ready and we're going to dig in. That's it.
Chip
Dig in, have a little bit of fun. And of course we'll have our. What we're famous for in these interviews. Sometimes the lightning round at the end. Hang around for that. You don't want to miss it, right?
Jeff
Don't miss it.
Chip
We have Chip and Chef.
Political Commentator

Episode Title: BIGGER THAN XRP
Date: June 18, 2026
Hosts: Jeff & Chip
Episode Theme:
Beyond the Price – The Real Transformative Impact of XRPL, Stablecoins, and Blockchain Infrastructure
In this engaging episode of On The Chain, Jeff and Chip break away from the typical XRP price speculation to spotlight much larger shifts: the rapid buildup of blockchain infrastructure, the proliferation of cross-chain payments, new stablecoins, and legislative challenges in the U.S. and globally. While XRP remains the focal point, the episode emphasizes the bigger context: “What’s coming is much more significant than just price action.” The hosts dissect major developments, highlight how far the space has come, and mix in sharp political commentary, memorable stories, and interactive community banter.

[24:39-30:28]
“You’re moving it between two wallets and you gotta pay a tax... This is insane. These people are insane. They want more of your money and things get worse and worse.” (26:54, Chip)

“I’ve been lied to my entire life about America... the World Cup has allowed people outside of America to see it through their own eyes, not their country’s media eyes.” (66:07, Foreign Visitor)
“Just 29% of Democrats say they’re extremely or very proud to be an American. The Republican percentage, the exact same—90 and 90.” (54:19, CNN segment discussed by hosts)
“Sing the national anthem... this kid belts it out. This kid should sing at every high profile match.” (73:17, Chip introducing a show-stopping national anthem by a young singer, 74:32)
