I think a lot of people are about to find out they were asking the wrong question. For years, the conversation around XRB has been pretty simple, right? When Moon, when etf, when adoption, when's price going up? And don't get me wrong, those are important questions. Don't beat me up out there in the chat. But if they're not the most important questions anymore, what if, Right? But what if they're not the most important questions anymore? Because the more I look at what's happening right now, the more it feels like something much bigger is taking shape. And it's not around Bitcoin, it's not around Ethereum. What do you think it is? Xrp. That's right, it's around xrp.

See, I don't even think most people even realize how weird what you just said sounds. Because if you would have said this, let's say six years ago when we started this podcast. Can you believe it's been six years already?

The thing everybody said would never recover from the SEC lawsuit. Remember all the naysayers? They're going to get destroyed. Ripple is going to go away. XRP was going to go away. Could it survive the company ripple not being here? Now we're sitting here watching XRP show up in payments, stable coins, tokenization, defi, cross chain infrastructure. Then you've got AI discussions that are filtered into all of it around blockchain. And somehow people, they always bring it back to one thing, Jeff. The price.

The price. That's right. And maybe that's why so many people are actually missing it. I don't know. They're not seeing the. What's that statement? You can't see the trees through the forest, but they're waiting for some giant moment, right? This massive giant announcement is going to come, right? That's what they're waiting for. Some big giant candle on a chart.

Tuesday? No, no, it's next Wednesday. No, no. By the end of the year. But that's not how infrastructure works, Jeff. Nobody throws a parade when they pour the foundation. That's just the beginning of everything. Nobody actually celebrates when they run the plumbing. Well, the plumbers do because they're done. They get the track open.

Chip, I'll tell you what, I have to admit something. When we pick the title for tonight's show, I thought it sounded absolutely ridiculous.

Well, it pro. Well, it's like everything we do. So there's a little bit of ridiculous in there. Just a little tiny bit. Jeff, that happens once in a while.

It does happen a little time every so often. Not that often. Sometimes every show. But tell you what, it's this title that we picked tonight, maybe draw it drew you in for tonight. Bit bigger than xrp. That's right. Bigger than xrp. Because XRP is already pretty big, right? It's a big story. That's what everyone's thinking out there.

That's why I just like the Jeff, because there's reaction that people have is like, hey, how could anything be bigger than, you know, XR Pay, right?

Xrp. Hey, then we started really going through everything that happened after the last couple days, last couple weeks, got flair. Big announcement there. With flair. Stunning divides that we have seen. You know, we're talking about polarization in politics. It even comes down to what you believe July 4th actually is like. What does July 4th mean to you? Celebrate America. Friends and family time among Republicans. What do you see? You see the clear majority say it's a time to celebrate America. 65% among Democrats, however, the plurality disagrees. Look at that. What do you see? Friends and family time at 42% versus just 24% who say that, what it means, most of them is to celebrate America. So even on the basic question of what July 4th means to you. We have Republicans on one end saying celebrate America. More of them say that. And Democrats on the other end saying that it means more to them to have time with friends and family. You know what?

There was something even more interesting in this whole number. What was the third question they asked? So there's three questions, obviously, celebrate family time. Something's missing. 66% of Dems answered this way. So what happened to the others? Where. Where are the others? You know that that's a big number. On the Republican side, we're at 88%, so we're 12% off. So what happened again? What was that third question? What were they asking them? And then, you know, so I think it's really.

I think the other one was, would you rather drink your own vomit? Something like that. I don't know what it was. It's hard to know. But this is. I mean, they think it's stunning. I'm like, this is not stunning. This is absolutely so predictable. Like. Like you didn't expect. You didn't expect a high number from the Dems on celebrating America. There's nothing to celebrate.

The Democratic percentage absolutely plummets to just 29% of Democrats say they're extremely are very proud to be an American. That Republican percentage the exact same 90 and 90. So as you know, Gavin Newsome is up. He's under investigation. He came out with a crying video because he's going to run president and you know that Trump wants to target him and Trump sends mean tweets to him. And well, CNN disagree because the facts are not on Gavin Newsom's side.

Seabel Newsom, the wife of California's Governor and potential 2028 presidential contender Gavin Newsom is currently under federal investigation for possible tax crimes. The full scope of the investigation into to the first partner is unclear. The documentary filmmaker founded Representation Project, a nonprofit focused on gender equity in media.

She also owns a film production company called Girls Club Entertainment, which is listed as a contractor on the Representation Project's tax returns. And she co founded the California Partners Project, a nonprofit that works to get more women onto corporate boards, address the gender pay gap and make tech safer for children. Critics have raised the possibility of self dealing for years despite no public evidence of wrongdoing. While it is unclear what exactly investigators are focused on, they have recently interviewed potential witnesses, including people close to the first couple. Sources tell CNN that the governor is not directly under investigation, but he has framed the probe as politically motivated and targeting him.

The tax probe is not the only recent investigation into someone in Newsom's orbit. His former chief of staff, Dana Williamson was recently prosecuted related to corruption. Just last year he called for Newsom to be arrested and has attacked him repeatedly.

It's bad enough they're going to report quarterly. You're an investor. You're going to want to wait six months for somebody to come out with an earnings report. They only do it because they have to disclose that. These public companies. This is a bad idea, in my opinion. It's a very dumb idea. Why would you change this? There's so many cool things you can change, like the sun, whatever that is. Like, you keep at the same time. We don't change the clocks anymore. I'm down with that.
