Chip
Welcome to on the Chain. This is Chip here with Jeff. What's up? Going on, Jeff? What's going on, fam?
Jeff
What's happening?
Chip
What's going on, fam? Jeff is in a secret location. Let's see if anybody can guess where he is. Where is Jeff? We'll drop some clues. We'll give you guys a chance to maybe guess where he's coming in from today. But on today's episode, David Schwartz drops a major truth bomb. 300 plus Ripple bank partnership. But where is the daily on chain volume? Stu Alderotti praises the White House crypto report. Following the passing of the genius act, urgent action demanded. Also huge thing from Coinbase and JP Morgan Chase Bank. A partnership is unveiled. Trade 5 meets DeFi Credit Card Rewards and USDC Direct bank linking and so much more. Jeff and I have talked so much about this. Trump declares crypto dominance. White House announces bold steps to make the US the crypto capital of the world. Flares. Firelight is explained. Staking. XRP now earns real yield. And Hugo breaks it down. And he was coming in from XRPL Apex. The Pelosi act moves forward. The Dunkin Donuts triggers on more tick tockers. If you thought the Sydney Sweeney was bad, wait till you see this new one. They're tripping out over that. Sydney Sweeney also breaks the Internet. She has a new ad with a different company and it's along the same lines. And people are having a little bit of an issue with auto surge under Trump. US production up 36%. Imports are down. Tariff haters once again proven wrong. So, Jeff, are you ready to strap in and get busier?
Jeff
Let's do it. Let's go hardcore.
Chip
Let's go. Let's go. Welcome to on the Chain. So, Jeff, let's see if we can drop a couple hints. Let's see if people can guess where you are in the world, where you're coming in from.
Jeff
Well, that's hint number one. Look outside.
Chip
Yeah, too much coffee. We can't quite see what's going on out there. We see you're in a coffee shop. I read coffee on.
Jeff
There we go.
Chip
So see, where is Jeff coming in from? Where is he coming in from? Okay, it looks like a regular coffee shop to me. Can anybody guess what other hints would you like to drop? I can drop a hint. I'll tell you that. It's a place where XRP and digital assets are very popular. In fact, 7 of out of 10 people. Crypto. That's a major clue. Let's see who can get it. Let's see who can get something.
Jeff
Yeti coffee shop. That would be pretty kick ass though.
Chip
Yeti coffee shop. No, that would be fantastic though. That would be great. Everyone's guessing Yeti coffee, but no, no, that's not it.
Jeff
That would be amazing if this was all stacked up with badass Yeti coffee.
Chip
Wouldn't it be great, man? Let's see. Hold up. Your coffee is what you're actually drinking over there. See if you can actually see that. There you go. Look at that stylish glass. That's not something you see all the time, Jeff. Look at that.
Jeff
Look at that. Look at that glass right there.
Chip
It's a beauty, man.
Jeff
Give it away. Probably not.
Chip
So anyway, we'll get going in the show. Let's see if anybody. We'll drop some more hints along the way and see if anybody can guess. Yeah, Osman's right. It does say coffee on the window.
Jeff
It does do that. Yeah. So that's what I'll do is I'll take a little bit of a outdoor tour in a little bit chip.
Chip
That would probably give it away.
Jeff
That would probably give it away.
Chip
I have a feeling that's probably. If that doesn't do it, something's going to do it. So let's talk about. It's kind of the teaser with David Schwartz was talking about this guy Andre Jeek. I don't know who he is. He's finance and investing on YouTube. He says, I know people are very opinionated about this, but I've been following XRP since 2014. Yeah, okay. And I've still not found the answers to these questions. Ripple has 300 plus bank partnerships, but after 13 years, shouldn't there be billions in on daily on chain volume? And if XRP is volatile, why use. Why not? Why use it over stable coins for transfers? And if volatility is not an issue because it's a bridge currency, what's the incentive to hold it? Are bridge currency still necessary when stable coins will cover most of them in the future? Well, our pal David Schwartz came in here with an answer. He said, talking about The Ripple has 300 plus bank partnerships, but after 13 years, shouldn't it be billions in daily volume? He says, I think there's a number of reasons why institutions have historically preferred to use digital assets off chain rather than on chain. I think we're close to changing that because institutions are starting to see the benefits of moving on chain. But I agree it's been very slow. Even Ripple can't use the xrpl decentralized exchange for payments yet because we can't be sure a terrorist won't provide the liquidity for payment. Features like permission domains will address this. So Jeff, that's an interesting sort of admission there because, well, Ripple can't use the XRP decks because if they're worried about, you know, bad actors using it for liquidity, that's interesting.
Jeff
It's interesting because it's something. I hadn't really considered that part of it. No, you know, that wasn't something that really factored into the equation. So then he's talking specifically, you know, through DeFi, not through a centralized exchange that has KYC and AML because they have used that to help provide liquidity and kind of set up, set up the tech behind it, but through DeFi. That's a really, really good observation on their part. Which does that mean from that perspective that we have a major obstacle within DEFI from a regulatory perspective, you know, how are they going to assure some form of KYC and AML through and through AML that would also reference to terrorism. How are they going to assure that through the D5? It's a really, really good question because.
Chip
He addresses the next point about XRP and volatile. Why use it over stable coins? He says. David goes on to say that there are use cases where volatility isn't a minus or, or even a plus generally for most digital assets. The general view is that the upside is worth more than the downside. As long as you are very risk averse, holding it is not really a disadvantage. And if he addresses the next one, if volatility is not an issue because of bridge currency, what's the incentive to hold it? Well, Schwartz goes on to say that a bridge currency only works if someone's holding it so that you can get it precisely where you need it. But I think that in practice, if you don't know what asset you'll need to hold next, you may hold the dominant bridge currency because it may be cheaper to exchange into whatever you happen to need next. And then finally our bridge currencies still necessary when stable coins will cover most of the future. If one stable coin wins, then no, then you would just have that stable coin as the bridge currency. But I don't think one stable coin can win for several reasons including that a stable coin is stable relative to one particular fiat currency and will always have jurisdictional ties. If we're in a multi stable world, still makes sense to have a bridge asset that serves the long tail of tokenized securities loan portfolios and so on. And then he says, well why? Why would the giants like BlackRock use XRPL for tokenization instead of building their own blockchain like Robinhood uses Arbitrum and plans their own? Schwartz says, I'm not sure how much that will really matter. So as long as we have interoperability and asset portability, multiple chains are a good form of scalability as well. But I think the best way to see what they might do is that ask the same question about Circle. Why don't they launch USDC on only their blockchain? You can see that's obviously silly. I think the same kind of logic will apply to be tokenized real world assets over the next year or two. And then he goes into the geopolitical risk. Why would foreign countries trust the US based private company payment network? Schwartz says, if you're asking about xrpl, it's not really US based. It never has discriminated against any particular participant. And if it started to, I would hope people would stop using it. If you can. I mean, if you mean Ripple's enterprise payments products, we have separately licensed entities in many jurisdictions but obviously you're not going to see it in North Korea or Cuba anytime soon. But as it might be in some cases a push back, the US Company having some control over state payments between Pakistan Arabia. We build trust, we make hay where the sun shines. I like that. We make hay, Jeff. So there is some jurisdictional sort of compliance and stuff tied to this as well. So does anybody have a.
Jeff
That's great. I like that.
Chip
Bad actors or cash launders. Well, that why, why regulatory is needed. Excellent. Yeah, I agree with that. Almost come from known sources.
Jeff
I was gonna say. So Chad, Chad's saying 3 second transaction time negates volatility, but it negates volatility as long as there's not one entity that has to hold xrp. And that's the, that's been my opinion, the biggest issue. Someone has to hold it, someone's maintaining liquidity. It has to exist someplace in somebody's account. And so from that perspective it is volatile. The transaction part might not be volatile, but the person holding and providing for is in a very, you know, volatile position. Which again is I think why we don't see massive transact or adoption with the XRPL specific to the XRP asset or any other asset from a trade currency perspective. And I, I believe that's where, you know, entities will fall into an issue. Now if you're utilizing a stable coin that is operating on the XRPL and burning XRPL to establish the trust component, then that's a different. That's a different situation. Whoever is holding the, the stable coin asset, it's stable, it's fixed to the US dollar. So from that, from that perspective, then there is no volatility. And now when you go and complete your transaction, there's XRP and being burned. It's a small percentage, a small, relatively small number, but that's the factor of utility. And then you have the stability, then you establish trust. And so that part becomes really, really important. That's how I, I look at it. Chip. I don't know if you see that any different.
Chip
I think it's pretty much the same. Mike even says that that's why I'm my own bank until Ripple becomes a bank, which they should be finding that out pretty soon. Like in November, I think is when that's coming stable on each end. XRP is the bridge. It also is the, you know, also burns XRP too. It's always going to burn it in a transaction with whatever you're using on the xrpl. But one thing I was going to zoom in on here was the fact that he talks about features like permission domains will address this whole idea of who's who's who. And so having a permission domain and like you were kind of bringing that point back to about knowing KYC aml, like knowing who it is and being vetted on a permission sort of a domain that'll address it because right now you just don't know where it's coming from. And again, we're still pretty early, but I think that's a sort of a big deal. Okay, let's get some other clue. What other clue can you give Jeff where you're located and are you located? Are you in the U. S? So let's, let's start there. Are you in the U.S. somewhere? No. Okay. Not in the U.S. we've established a starting point.
Jeff
Yeah. No, not, not in the US eliminated 1.
Chip
Are you in a European country?
Jeff
Well, that's going. That's giving away too much.
Chip
Not really. There's a lot of European countries, Jeff, that you use packed with a whole bunch of. You'd have to go through all of Europe to figure out who it would be.
Jeff
That's true. I gave away one hint. What's that? Bahamas. Atlanta, Michigan.
Chip
Are you in England?
Jeff
No.
Chip
Nope, not in England.
Jeff
Okay, so not anywhere in that continent.
Chip
Well, well, maybe we should ask what continent you're in. But that could Be.
Jeff
You know, that's. That's true. One is true. I gave. I gave one hint, but I don't think anybody was paying attention.
Chip
Mike said I probably missed it too. Italy. Are you in Italy?
Jeff
No. And being in here, there's not really much to. To give away. There's trying to see if there's no. There's really nothing here. Nothing around me specifically because everything's kind of in English Art on the lake.
Chip
Wants to know if you're in Hawthorne. That's in. That's in the U.S. that's in Florida. Yeah, that's it. Osmond says Egypt.
Jeff
Once I go outside, chimes in and.
Chip
Says in the ripple net payment flow on their private permission chain based on XRPL ripple runs client wallet full of XRP that can be dipped into on demand and invoice for use. Yeah, that's the. On their private chain they can do that. Which is awesome too. Reason why nobody wants to.
Jeff
These.
Chip
These banks do not want to have everything open to the world. Right. Which is why they have a private chain with. That's good to know. Yeah, that's really good to know. And. And I guess. I guess he was talking about maybe on the. On the exposed xrpl like why we see versus a permission one. But that's a good. Good point. Let's see what else. The sun is shining in Australia.
Jeff
But. But the thing is on the west coast, you got to believe there's sun in California right now, right?
Chip
Oh, yeah, there is something in California. That's another good point. So you are. It's sunny there, which is good. It's dark.
Jeff
But there's probably no sun in England right now. So that would kind of give that away.
Chip
Which in Scotland or anywhere shoe. Right, right.
Jeff
Anywhere in Europe.
Chip
That would be true. Let's keep dropping hints here. Stu Alderati was talking about this at the comprehensive, helpful and direct. The White House digital assets report, which they released today, this afternoon, pushes Congress and the U. S. Federal agencies to act immediately following the passing of the genius act. So they're already geared up to do this from call outs. One person.
Jeff
One. One person was very close.
Chip
Okay.
Jeff
One person was very, very close.
Chip
Yeah, I see that. I see that. I see that in there. Yeah.
Jeff
It kind of slid by me and I was.
Chip
I see. I see that. Yeah.
Jeff
That is funny.
Chip
Jeff, you can show a little bit more background.
Jeff
Okay, let's. Here.
Chip
Can you walk outside or something?
Jeff
Yeah, it's a little bit. It's a little bit hot out there, but let me. That's not too hot? No. Here we go. Here, let me do this. I'm gonna. I'll swivel my camera around. Should I do front facing or. And let's see if anyone can see it in the background. How about that? You'd have to see it just in the background, right?
Chip
Yeah. So we're gonna make you screen. We can get a better view here. See where you are. Okay. Brick, you could be anywhere.
Jeff
Jeff, that could be anywhere, right?
Chip
Trees.
Jeff
I can still be anywhere, Right. Okay.
Chip
Well, I see in the building back there, there's something going on with the writing there.
Jeff
Yeah, yeah.
Chip
Okay. Yeah, that's kind of a giveaway right there. That's kind of a giveaway, is it?
Jeff
Yeah.
Chip
I saw some Cuban espresso since 1990. Wow. I've been doing it for a long time.
Jeff
That's pretty good, right? That's the club espresso.
Chip
Oh, look at the street sign right there. Jeff, look at the street sign right there. I see that.
Jeff
Oh, there's a street sign behind me.
Chip
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Jeff
Yep, yep.
Chip
There you go.
Jeff
So see, let's see what else. Okay, here's. Let's see if we can do some cars.
Chip
Not picking up on it. No, they're not picking up on that green sign over there. And at that. Look at that.
Jeff
How about based on the mountain? I don't know if you can see the mountain.
Chip
I see a mountain in the background. But if you look to your left, see the writing of that building right there? If you zoom in on that building. Can you zoom in on that?
Jeff
Yeah, no, see?
Chip
So that's dead giveaway. The street signs are giveaway.
Jeff
I think so. Let's walk up this way, see if anyone can look at the topography.
Chip
Grown over there. Jeff Cheese.
Jeff
What's that?
Chip
So it was a little bit overgrown over there. It could be trimmed back a little bit.
Jeff
Yeah, I think it does, actually. See if there's a. We're out earlier. Look at that butterfly. All right, let's see. Hey.
Chip
Well, looks like the king got it.
Jeff
What do you say?
Chip
He said South Korea.
Jeff
Oh, look at that.
Chip
There you are. Mike thought Japan, thought China. Chad had so close. Justin thought Thailand.
Jeff
Yeah.
Chip
Actually Osmond got it. He said Korea, but. And someone had said, no street thugs.
Jeff
Can't be.
Chip
That's North Korea.
Jeff
Yeah, that was very close, but yeah, definitely not funny.
Chip
So there you are, man. So. So what time is it? Thursday?
Jeff
It is 9:30.
Chip
9:30.
Jeff
Yeah.
Chip
Very interesting.
Jeff
Yeah, I've been up since like 4.
Chip
Oh, she can't sleep there.
Jeff
Can't Sleep came out at 6. I've been up and down these hills since 6, basically.
Chip
Oh, God, man.
Jeff
Went back to the house and had eggs. The coffee shops don't open here apparently until 10:30 and 11. This is the only one that opened at 9am that's not right, dude.
Chip
Something's wrong with that.
Jeff
Exactly. Yeah. So none of the pastry places are open. They don't open till 10:30 or 11. Like it's so difficult to find stuff.
Chip
Is coffee not an early morning option? I mean, people not get up and grab coffee or.
Jeff
Man, you would think that's what I would want to do, you know. And then I was like, check in like every place, you know, I'll show you. Just a quick tour of. They have this major. The wall that kind of goes around Seoul area. But this is a cool little coffee shop. Not open till 10:30.
Chip
Oh, very nice. Yeah.
Jeff
Road. There's this whole trail. Give you guys the grand tour of this area.
Chip
I'm surprised how good your. Your signal is for walking around.
Jeff
It's amazing, right?
Chip
It's better than the one high speed.
Jeff
I'm just gonna stay here. I don't think I should leave.
Chip
It's a pretty strong.
Jeff
So then it's crazy. Thank you. I forget what network we're on, but I got a SIM card as soon as I got here.
Chip
Little ghost town says bird dog.
Jeff
Yeah, it's kind of quiet. Seoul is like way off in the distance. Probably can't really see it. Yeah, you can hear all the bugs.
Chip
How's your Airbnb?
Jeff
It's nice. It's up steep hill. Takes me forever to get there when I have to walk. But check that out. This was a gate on the wall kind of in the area. So kind of cool. I don't know if you hear these. These crew. These bugs, I don't know what they are. They're so loud.
Chip
They sting. I've heard. No, I don't know. I can't hear them.
Jeff
No, you can't hear them. I think I have the sound thing on. Let me see. I can't even. I can't adjust it now.
Chip
Yeah, I was asking, are the people all sleeping? Like, where is everybody? Jeff, there's like only one person in that coffee shop. When you were in there, it was crazy.
Jeff
So there was. But it had just opened. I mean, you think about that. It actually just opened at 9am I walked in at like 8:55 or a little bit earlier and there was. It was. The lights were still out, but the door open. I came in no one was around. And I'm like, oh, the AC's on. It's nice in here. But there's nobody around. So what do I do? So I went back and walked around and came back at nine, and they just started serving. They turned everything on, but it's the only one. The only one open.
Chip
That is wild, man. That is a wild thing.
Jeff
Yeah. Let me see if I can get down this trail and then see if I can show you guys where the Soul Tower is. I don't know. I don't know if you can see it through the bushes here. Let's see if I can get down. Trying to get a clear spot. I don't know if you see it off in the distance at all. I can't really zoom in with this, so not really an option.
Chip
Really?
Jeff
You probably can't see it.
Chip
No, I can't.
Jeff
Yeah. Not on. Not with this setting. Yeah, you probably can't really see it.
Chip
Brought some badass yeti coffee there. That would have been good. Oh, there two people. There you go. A couple.
Jeff
Two more people walking around. There were some people, like, you know, the seniors. I walked up into the mountain over here on the trail, and there all these people out there exercising and walking was at 6am that was pretty cool.
Chip
Oh, so they were up earlier then. Okay.
Jeff
Yeah. We're going to see Soul vs Barcelona later. What's that?
Chip
Oh, yeah, that's gonna be great. What time's that match?
Jeff
8:00Pm all right.
Chip
That's gonna be a long day for you, man. Jeez.
Jeff
Yeah, tell me about it.
Chip
Jet lag's hard, man.
Jeff
Oh, man, it can be brutal.
Chip
Is that Devil's Letter Took you out. Is that the devil's lettuce?
Jeff
Lettuce?
Chip
I don't think so.
Jeff
Yeah, but man stuff. I just want to. I. I guess I could have shown this a little bit easier closer. I didn't have to walk through this whole area. Whoops. I think I just switched the setting. But check out the. The way the bus thing is set up. They got, like, the thing over here so you can see the time and what's coming. Got the whole. That's kind of cool, man. For buses. Yeah. Pretty sweet.
Chip
There you go up there.
Jeff
Nothing but stairs and hills. Especially coming from Florida. That's just flat. Only stairs are in the house.
Chip
There you go.
Jeff
Yep.
Chip
I'm gonna do it the other way around here and do that. There we go.
Jeff
There you go.
Chip
There we go. That's what I wanted to do. Right? Like, that's the tour, man.
Jeff
I wish I. We could have had this opportunity to go stream live from Liechtenstein. And I remember we recorded something that was kind of cool years ago. There's this weird bug. It makes a funny noise here and it freaks me out.
Chip
The killer. Man, Creatine is good for jet lag. Jeff, I don't know if you brought any creatine with you, but that's good creatine. Yeah, it's cool to see, man. It's like a little treat here that you get to actually see it.
Jeff
Not so much.
Chip
Not so interesting for the people listening on the podcast.
Jeff
All right. That's true. Here, let me see if I can walk up here.
Chip
I don't think it's a cicada. It doesn't sound like a cicada to me.
Jeff
Yeah. Doesn't sound like making a funny noise going. That's what it sounds like.
Chip
Korean crickets. That's what Osmond says.
Jeff
Okay.
Chip
Bug sounds like feedback. Yeah, it does sound like that a little.
Jeff
That's what it. Yeah, exactly what it is. Yep. Sounds like.
Chip
Yeah, maybe it's a Korean cicada. So there you go. They sound. They sound Korean. Korean. South Korean. They sound like. They sound like me and bugs. Are you kidding me? This is great.
Jeff
They're chirping in a different language. It's a different language.
Chip
Right, that's. Is that the. Right there that you're walking under? You think?
Jeff
What's that?
Chip
Is that a walkway up there, a road or something?
Jeff
No. Yeah. Over here behind me there is.
Chip
Yeah.
Jeff
Let me see if I can climb these stairs. I'll show you this. This gate. Even though it looks like there's a paid thing. But let me see here. Give everyone this grand tour. I haven't even been up here.
Chip
Japan has three sounds to their cicadas. All right, so we only have one over here. So that's probably why I used to.
Jeff
They're all different. See? Probably says do not enter, so it must be risk of humid. Let's see if you can see this. What's that? It is humid.
Chip
Yeah.
Jeff
Yeah.
Chip
It's bad. Or not as. Not as.
Jeff
Yeah. It's like. Yeah. The humidity at the worst of times when it gets really hot, but it's kind of, you know, it's going to be like 93.
Chip
Nice.
Jeff
Yeah.
Chip
Art said you just jumped the turnstile in South Korea.
Jeff
Hey, there you go. That's it right there. That's pretty cool, right?
Chip
Very cool.
Jeff
Yeah, yeah. Yep. And you kind of see from the top of the view here. Yeah, yeah.
Chip
Cool. It's even better. That you're walking up and we don't get to. We don't get to deal with it.
Jeff
Like, Dave, like, I've done a million stairs today.
Chip
Up and down, up and sleep well tonight. It'd be nice to go to that match. Barcelona versus Great. While you're doing that, I'm gonna put the next story.
Jeff
Sweet.
Chip
Well, so Coinbase put out this announcement. We're partnering with Chase to accelerate crypto adoption. Coming soon. You can use the Chase credit card on Coinbase. You can redeem reward points for USDC. So I think it's every 100 points equals $1, US$1 or one USDC. So you can actually. It's the first time there's ever been a rewards program that you can cash in for crypto and you can directly link your Chase to Coinbase. So basically bridging trade fight to crypto. And it's funny, I was in the bank not too long ago, Chase branch, and telling the guy like, hey, you know, custody and crypto in a bank. He goes, I think it's two years out. I'm like, I don't think so. I think it's way sooner than. He goes, nah, it'll take him two years to figure it out. I'm like, nope, it's going to be much sooner than you think. And then, bam, this drops. So can't wait to go back and. No Jeff rant today? Jeff? There's no Jeff rant. It's all pleasantries. It's all fun stuff today, man. There's no.
Jeff
It's all unicorns and rainbows and cotton candy.
Chip
Pretty much, yeah. There's nothing. Nothing. Nothing more to talk about.
Jeff
Yeah.
Chip
Let's see, what else? Oh, so this foreign. It's great they put out this. This report today. This was on the White House official account on X New from Scott Besant. This Trump administration making America capital of the world map. Making America a crypto superpower. Scott percent authored this piece here. I don't know what it was in. What it was it in? Doesn't see. Oh, the Washington Post. Can you believe the WaPo allowed Scott percent to write an op ed? Interesting. I always like the Washington Post. Democracy dies in darkness. Well, it. It does, but we're not a democracy. I try to explain that to so many people. They can't figure it out yet. Where are you now, Jeff? He's in there talking or doing something. Oh, he's. He's having a chat. And then. Where are you? In a coffee shop.
Jeff
Yeah, I went back in the coffee shop to Go see about the croissant. But 15 more minutes. The croissant, croissant, croissant.
Chip
And I have a croissant.
Jeff
Croissant, croissant, croissant, croissant. So.
Chip
I'm sorry, come again. I need a croissant.
Jeff
Can I get the croissant?
Chip
Where does, where does Firelight yield come from? Your staked XRP secures on chain services. They pay fees. For what? For that security, you earn a share. Non custodial, transparent, real yield. And I got a little bit here, a little, little video here from Hugo, CEO of Flare. If I can find it here. Where the heck is it.
Jeff
Man? Well, I got to go on this convenience store real quick.
Chip
There we go. No worries. We'll just watch here as you do it.
C
Say some external service.
Chip
Here's Hugo's explaining.
C
Say some external service sets up and they want to leverage XRP for their security. Now let's say for argument's sake, it's a new XRPL sidechain that wants to use XRP in a proof of stake like security mechanism. This XRP would be staked on flare through Firelight. The data with regards to the stake composition and node composition is relayed from flare to that sidechain. This conveys the economic security of that staked XRP to the sidechain nodes. And under the happy path, the the nodes operate well and provide revenue in the form of native token or protocol fees. This is not something that's set by Firelight. This is up to the builders of the protocol. However, when one of these nodes that you're staked to breaks the protocol rules, say it has a liveness issue, such as node uptime goes below 95% on some rolling average. The XRP stake associated with that node can be slashed by proving through the flare data connector that this event has occurred. And it's important to note here because I know that the XRP community will be very concerned about their principal stake of xrp. Slashing does not have to take away xrp. There are forms of slashing where you can just slash accrued rewards that have not yet been distributed.
Chip
And there you have it. Jeff, I don't know if you were able to hear some of that. Rice bread. Very good. There's a lot more English than I would have expected there, but I guess it makes sense. So I don't know. You're still on mute, I'll say that.
Jeff
Whoops. I'm gonna say, but nothing's open. I mean, they're open like the stores are open, but they're not really serving anything yet.
Chip
They're not open open. They're just sort of like starting to wake up.
Jeff
Yeah they're just semi open Europe where.
Chip
They just take a couple hours to figure out how to open the place. And.
Jeff
It'S kind of got a mix of modern and kind of old mixed together which is kind of cool.
Chip
Very cool man. Very cool indeed. Indeed.
Jeff
Indeed indeed.
Chip
So this is, this is the, this is WhiteHouse.gov crypto. There it is right there. Pretty cool header right there. But this is pretty sweet, talks all about it. This is actually the report right here and you can actually. It's cool how they did this the way they did the White House all like digital looking and whatnot. I went through it, I saw one ripple was in there once and it was in a footnote. It was more about policy and what they're going to do. America is the leader in digital access. CFTC using their existing authorities to enable trading of digital assets by the federal level allow innovative financial products to reach consumers. So a lot of that type of stuff going on and this is it right here. It's a very lengthy report but look it has acronyms and abbreviations. How nice is. I don't know NBA is the National bank act. You probably thought that was the National Basketball Association.
Jeff
Right.
Chip
So they thought members of this working group are David Sachs obviously Scott Bessant, Pam Bondi, Howard Lutnick, Christy Gnome, Russell Vaught, Marco Rubio, Robin Coleman Parker, Stephen Mills, Paul Atkins, Caroline Pham and then Boh. So pretty cool. We're not going to get into all that but useful. I just basically ran through it what the purpose of this was, what the strategic priorities were combat debanking. That's a big been a big thing that a lot of people did get be debanked. You remember Garlinghouse talking about it. You remember the Trump sons talking about getting debanked. A lot of the Trump family US dollar innovation strong focus on blockchain based dollars, national security, illicit finance to urge agencies to focus on targeted enforcement while avoiding blanket de risking and then a CBDC stance firm rejection of surveillance style CBDCs promotes a free market innovation for digital dollars rather than government controlled digital currency. And then talks about directing this sec, cftc, Treasury, Fed to coordinating and clarify oversight rules rather than overreach. That's a big change changed since the last administration where it was regulation by enforcement and then encourages Congress to pass legislation established. So basically what they're doing, they'll be hitting the ground running Jeff, when they get this thing from talking and ready to go. So just a matter of time there.
Jeff
I like to hear really all the progress that we're seeing across the board, you know? Yeah. So okay.
Chip
Are you back in the coffee shop?
Jeff
Came here. No, now I'm in the 7 11.
Chip
7 11.
Jeff
They are big a Slurpee. Batteries.
Chip
Oh, batteries.
Jeff
So the touchpad on the front door last night, the battery was dying. Fortunately, there was a secondary door to get into. Got hint at like quarter to 11 and the door wouldn't open. It took me forever to figure it out. And then the upstairs, we had already been there and I had locked, manually deadbolted the upstairs door. And I'm like, oh my God, we're not gonna be able to get in. So I'd stopped in earlier and I couldn't remember if it was double A's or AAA batteries.
Chip
It's probably double, but who knows?
Jeff
I know it was. Yeah, I went back and checked it earlier.
Chip
Was it double A?
Jeff
Double A? 4, double A.
Chip
Very brave ad. Look at this one here. This is brave right here. This is. You had Sydney Sweeney, but now you've got Trump in an ad. There he is. Someone said this is brave American Eagle. Look at this right here.
Jeff
Trump. Like that's funny.
Chip
And they said that they're not gonna hire. They're not hiring. Sydney, sweetie. They're not gonna just give it not an option. The White House is not. But I did want to mention, guys, type in yeti because we are giving away this badass tonight. This one here is very rare. Super rare. And it's bad. Its name is Gorender. Gorender. Still prep was enough. But that is the badass right there. It's cool because he doesn't have eyes see them. So that's one of the things that makes it pretty rare.
Jeff
It's awesome.
Chip
Rarity score is 13 out of 589. So lucky number 13. But this will be so tonight.
Jeff
And there's no song to go with it.
Chip
No song, Jeff. I was gonna. I was gonna recycle your other songs and just change out the dude.
Jeff
Yeah, that would have been cool.
Chip
Even ran out of time. It'll be like, oh, it's a repeat, man. Yeah, this is a repeat.
Jeff
Yeah.
Chip
Osman says make sure you get the Hyundai branded battery in Korea. It's a local product.
Jeff
Is it? They have Durasa. That's my option. What's that?
Chip
Did you buy the Hyundai batteries or.
Jeff
No, no, no.
Chip
They didn't have them. Huh? Look at that.
Jeff
They did not have them. Yep.
Chip
There's Only one. There's only one, Jeff. I don't know. This is pretty interesting right here. I don't know if you know about this, but not only did make a genius ad, but it turns out Garlinghouse did too. So look at this.
D
Hey, folks. XRP is passed down from Ripple's innovative parents to the worldwide offspring of finance. Often determining traits like hair curlingly quick transaction speeds faster than a caffeine squirrel on roller skates, a personality that's cheaper than free samples at a Costco giveaway, and even eye widening efficiency that turns cross border payments into a walk in the park. We're talking digital DNA that's greener than a leprechaun's lucky charm after a spinach bath. Evolving the ecosystem without breaking a sweat. And sure, the SEC might be out there squinting at our eye color through fogging lawsuit lenses, but XRP is just thriving, inheriting the best genes for real world utility. Like a superhero offspring that's part rocket ship, part piggy bank. Who needs Darwin when you've got this kind of natural selection?
Chip
XLP Ledger has gray jeans. Yeah, that's a great parody. That's a fantastic parrot. It's great jeans. I mean, everyone's getting in on this whole thing with the jeans and everything. And you can't really blame them, Jeff, because there's getting. They're getting a lot of mileage out of it. So it's kind of a. It's kind of a good thing. And I heard that a lot of American Eagle outlets have sold out of these jeans that everybody was. Everyone's trying to get so. And so anyway, here we go. Let's go with Dunkin. So Dunkin Donuts. Weird timing here, Jeff, but they introduced this. And people and the. And tick tock. Liberals are flipping out, but here's a new Dunkin Donuts ad. Look, hang on a second. That is the liberal freaking out. Let me get the other one.
Jeff
That was awesome.
Chip
Hang on, let me see here.
Jeff
Dude, I'm dying.
Chip
There it is. Here it is, right here. Look, I didn't ask to be the king of summer.
Jeff
It just kind of happened. Yeah, this tan genetics.
Chip
I just got my color analysis back. Guess what? Golden Summer.
Jeff
Literally.
Chip
I can't help it. Every time I drink a Duncan Golden Hour refresher, it's like the sun just finds me. So sipping these refreshers makes me the king of summer.
Jeff
Guilty. Discharged.
Chip
Oh, boy, oh, boy, Jeff. The Golden Hour refresher.
Jeff
Oh, my God.
Chip
Genetics, Jeff. I mean, how weird is that? This other ad, like there's no way they could have known. And here we go. Here. Here we go. Hey, what's up, Mike? True warrior. Here we go. Check this one out, Summer. It just kind of happened.
Jeff
This tan genetics.
Chip
I just got my color analysis back. Guess what? Golden Summer, literally.
Jeff
I can't help it.
D
Every time I drink a Duncan Golden.
Chip
Hour refresher, it's like this.
E
You too, Duncan. Have you not learned anything from Sydney Sweeney and American Eagle? Now, I understand these are slight.
Chip
Well, they did learn. They sold out. Their stock went through the roof. They did learn. I'm not talking about Bud Light here, people.
E
Slight messages that just skim off the top. But once again, we're making an ad where we're calling out jeans and saying, these are the perfect genes. I've just been blessed with the perfect jeans. And it sees white people have been blessed with the perfect genes and they have not apparently seen any of the controversy that's been going on with American Eagle. Or they did and they decided, hey, let's jump on that. But it seems weird because, correct me if I'm wrong, I think Dunkin Donuts is like a Massachusetts based business. And so it seems weird to be taking this like Aryan race type stance. But once again, what are these companies doing? And it's, it's these dog whistles, this, this testing of the water.
Chip
Apparently if you have white actors in a. A commercial and race video. So, I mean, this is what is.
Jeff
Going on, how people react, how far they're spinning everything.
E
How can we push this? And this is the second ad in almost as many weeks that is talking about perfect.
Jeff
Je.
Chip
Okay, I get what you're going. Listen, they can't take it, Jeff. They're really, they're really bumming out about the whole thing. But here, the funny thing is, is they're not. They're kind of doubling down on it. They haven't really stopped. So they're not. It's not like it's something that they're not going to give up on. But here we go. Here is Sydney Sweeney released another ad for American Eagle. I bet you want to try these jeans Cindy's tweenie has for jeans.
Jeff
Oh, man, that's awesome.
Chip
And she has a new ad out for hey, dude. Hey, dude, make shoes. Hey, dude, look at this.
Jeff
The dude out of the country. You can't take the country out. You can take the dude out of the country. You can't take the country out of the dude.
Chip
For sure in here. That's a fantastic looking boom box, man. You don't see boom boxes like that anymore. Dude, that's a vintage right there.
Jeff
Yeah, totally.
Chip
So I can imagine they're just gonna have a meltdown about this. They're not going to be happy about it. They're going to be freaking out. I'll be honest with you. I love it. But you know, Ulta, some weird dude with a beard and long hair pretending to be a woman buying makeup. I'm like, how do you think that's gonna do for Ulta compared to these, the Duncan, right?
Jeff
Oh, man, they're definitely selling a lot of jeans.
Chip
Yeah. Weird. For sure. It is a weird sort of a thing. And then we have what else we have here?
Jeff
Taking a mid break rest from mid rest. Holy crap. San Francisco doesn't have anything on these hills. Crazy.
Chip
I didn't so hilly there.
Jeff
I didn't realize I'm still walking uphill. Freaking steep.
Chip
Hey, huffing and puffing there. This is Trump on the Pelosi act that got voted on a committee today. Jeff, Here it is.
F
Nancy Pelosi became rich by having inside information. She made a fortune with her husband. And I think that's disgraceful. So in that sense, I'd like it, but I'd have to really see the. You know, I studied these things very carefully and this just happened. So I'll take a look at it. But conceptually I like it. And what I do think is Nancy Pelosi should be investigated.
Chip
I named this bill the Nancy Pelosi act after Nancy Pelosi to restrict anybody in Congress from owning or selling stocks. Right. So that's why he's saying I haven't really reviewed what. What it is. He hasn't read it, but that's what it is. And I forget what Pelosi. I think it's. I think it's an acronym to stand because what.
F
She has the highest return of anybody practically in the history of Wall Street. Save a few. And how did that happen? It happened by. She knows exactly what's going to happen, what's going to be announced. She buys stock and then the stock goes up after the announcements made. And she ought to be investigated.
Chip
Whoa, Jeff. So here we go. Here was Nancy Pelosi on with Fake Tapper with more fake news. But look at how. Look how she's squirming. When Fake Tapper asked her question. Let me just read what he said. I'm sorry that we had some sort of technical issue. Nancy Pelosi became rich.
G
I might have to read that one. We're here to talk about the 60th anniversary of Medicaid. That's what I agreed to come to talk.
Chip
Yeah, but this is funny. She gets all triggered. Fake tappers going on and on. Nancy Pelosi became rich.
G
Why do you have to read that? We're here to talk about the 60th anniversary of Medicaid. That's what I agreed to come to talk.
Chip
Yeah, but I want.
G
That means in the election.
Chip
I wanted to give you a chance just to respond. He accused you of insider trading. What's your response to that?
G
That's ridiculous. In fact, I very much support the stop the trading of members of Congress. Not that I think anybody's doing anything wrong. If they are, they are prosecuted and they go to jail. But because of the confidence it instills in the American people. Don't worry about this. But I have no concern about the obvious. Investments have had been made over time. I'm not into it. My husband is, but it isn't any.
Chip
I'll be honest with you. I see fake tapper's face. I don't think he knows what's going on. I'm gonna be honest. Jeff, I need an interpreter to explain what she just said. I have no idea what she's going on about. I'm like listening to her voice and she's saying words, but I have no idea what she's saying. Maybe someone could share with chat what she's saying.
G
Anything to do with anything insider. But the president has his own exposure. So he's always projecting.
Chip
Projecting.
G
He's always projecting. And let's not give him any more time on that, please. We're going forward here. And I'm very proud of my family. And while he might make fun of us while somebody inspired by him breaks into our home and hits my head in a deadly fashion, hits my husband over the head and he thinks that's a riot. I'd rather not go into some of my other complaints about him right now, rather to talk about the 60th and anniversary of Medicaid.
Chip
Wow, that was a long winded thing getting hit in the head with. I remember that. Some weird dude showed up in the house and half naked. It was all very awkward. Why would you even bring that up? Bring that up. And supposedly he's projecting. Right? Because he has this problem because he. When he was in Congress, he bought all kinds of stocks and made a fortune. So I don't really know what that's all about.
Jeff
And out of control.
Chip
Yeah, there's something really going on there. But, you know. So Powell spoke today. He's in the rates. He says that the economy is not stable. He cut it right before the election when we had high consumer goods. Eggs were $7. You know, gas was through the roof. But no, no, it's okay. It's not partisan at all. It's just the way it goes. So here it was Trump on Powell.
F
We have a lot of money coming in and we have no inflation. And we should. And we're very strong and we should be lowering the rates. You know, each point that this gentleman keeps up costs us $365 billion a year. Think of that one point. $365 billion. If you bring it down a point, we save 365. We should be the lowest interest rate. And we're not. We're 38. Number 38. Because of the Fed. It's all because of the Fed. He's done a bad job. Now he's got a meeting today, but I call him too late. You know, he's always too late. Even if he does it today, probably won't. I hear they're going to do it in September, not today. For what reason? Nobody knows.
Chip
Nobody knows, John. Geez, man, you. You'll be all right. Sit down there.
Jeff
I don't know. I'm sitting right now.
Chip
Need a shower. When you get back.
Jeff
It's what, 10am it's so humid here, I can't even tell you.
Chip
You wanna, you want to hear what Paul said? Here's what Paul said. Last night, President Trump called me at like three in the morning. He said, jerome, stop being a little fed.
Jeff
Jerome, lower the friggin rate. And then he just hung up on me. My wife heard, so she sent me to sleep on the couch for being a little bitch too. I just. I want to sleep a little bit and I want people to stop calling me a little. Okay.
Chip
Jeez.
Jeff
That's very funny. That's hilarious.
Chip
A little bit. That seems a little bit much, Jeff. I'll be honest, calling him. Yeah, this is funny. Castrolasi was saying that Pelosi is a victim. Jeff, the USB cable again here, when your camera went out, I think you took it out on purpose.
Jeff
I did.
Chip
There's no USB cable on his phone.
Jeff
No, but that was. That's funny. Put my phone in my pocket.
Chip
It was pretty apart. That was pretty funny though, Jeff. You have to admit, that's pretty hilarious.
Jeff
Just stacked up one after another. It just. Man, today's been such an impressive show. You think about the solid content coming out of some of the, you know, key people in the Space. You know, we saw, we heard from Hugo, we heard from David Schwartz, heard from some others, you know, and we just see the direction things are moving in. And then we look at it from a geopolitical perspective and an anti woke end of the woke era perspective. Everything is stacking up, you know, and it's been what, six months, like six months in. And the momentum shift has just been unreal. You know, it's just such a positive perspective to see where we've come in six months. Just think what the next six months will bring. And then, you know, we can look at some solid projections for the direction this country's going. But the, really, the direction the whole world will start turning in, you know, say, you know, starting in 26, it's going to be really, really impressive.
Chip
Look at that. Jeff, you're saying.
Jeff
It'S embarrassing to be like dying over here, you know that.
Chip
You know, Trump just came back from Scotland, he's in the uk, so he had some, he had some words to say about both Starmer and City Khan, the mayor of London. But here he is. It was interesting though, like the little cameo. No one saw this, but here, here was him and Starmer together briefly. Boom. Punched him right, knocked him right out. Boom. Just, just, just took him right out. And then he, it turns out he did end up seeing City Khan, the mayor of London, he had some words for him too. He's like, boom. Oh God, look at that.
Jeff
That's so funny. Yeah, that's so funny.
Chip
That came out of his nose and everything. Look, he's, look. Oh, look at that. Oh, gosh, that's too bad. Look at that. I don't know who comes up with this stuff, man, but I can never get enough of it. And you know, the baby Trump, there's always, I see so many baby Trumps and it's somehow funnier when you hear the Trump thing. But here's baby rocket man, little rocket man and Putin, a little rocket man. Hit the sneeze button. Here we go. Ready? Me one more time. I will exterminate all of you idiots. Yeah, I agree with Kimmy boy.
F
Give me baby. If you ever talk to me that way again, you'll be eating nuclear of warheads for breakfast. And Vlad, you can shut the up. No one even likes you. Stop pretending to be a James Bond villain.
Chip
A James villain. He kind of looks like a little.
Jeff
Bit James Bond villain.
Chip
Yeah, make the UK great again. He told him, he said, he told, he's like, look, you have to do control immigration, cut taxes, drill baby Drill. You got the largest right off the north, you know, of England there. You've got the. This beautiful, you know, tons of oil there. All you have to do is that. He said you can get a lot from a little tiny hole in the ground. You get a lot of energy. But if you don't, well, Nigel might just take your place. Of course, he's talking about Nigel Farage, who's been to Mar a Lago and the White House many times. And I have predicted that Nigel will rise up. He will. He's, you know, he'll be the Trump that they need because now they have their version of Biden complete. An utter loser. And we only. Guys, we only have 10 entries. You have a one in 10 chance. You got to type in the word yeti. We can do a drawing here. I need to see somebody going on there. Come on, type it in there. Type it in there.
Jeff
You can at least put in. Oh, what else happened? At least put some music in the background.
Chip
Come on, let's see it. Jeff rant from the Amazon forest. Amazon thrice.
Jeff
Let me rant a little bit about this humidity. What's up with the humidity to begin with?
Chip
God, the humidity is rough, man. I'm in the air conditioning right now. Okay, we've got 12. So I think what we're gonna do is we're gonna put on some music here. Let me go ahead and see if I can get in.
Jeff
There's no. That's why the bugs are so loud, because of the humidity. You're right. That's yet.
Chip
Where's the badass Yeti's? The one that loops. Where is that one?
Jeff
It's one of those. One of those. Not one. One or two.
Chip
We still salute the badass clan. If you ever type yeti fast and bold tonight we shout you out. Full roll call. Freaking cryptogy, Joe. Come times two. Now that's OG Crypto. Every Tony bags hand Slow to JC lower level. Scott Francis pain easy Mike Mark with the triple score. St. Jude XRP gave away three more Adrian S, Jim D. Ray run fly.
Jeff
Put it up so we can see it. There we go.
Chip
There we go.
Jeff
Roll it.
Chip
I just don't know where that. Oh, here it is right here.
Jeff
There you go.
Chip
Ah, there we go.
Jeff
Badass.
Chip
Yeah. Let's give you one chance. Type in yeti Y E T I and we will hit the drawing. Okay. One in 15 chance you're gonna win this beautiful render. He's a rare one. He's 13 out of 589.
Jeff
Super rare. Here we go.
Chip
Who's it gonna be? Here we go. Charles Tomarello. Charles has not won this month. In July, I don't believe. Has he?
Jeff
I don't know. I can't remember if he won. We're giving away a blue Badass Yeti, so I'm not sure if he's won recently. I remember him winning. Amazing. So what are we gonna do? Roll it again?
Chip
I don't think so. He hasn't won a blue drive since May.
Jeff
Oh, since May. I thought you said since July. Okay, there you go. No. So Charles is the big winner. Winner, winner, winner, winner. He's back. He's back in. Winning. Are you kidding me?
Chip
That's officially over.
Jeff
Yay. Definitely. Yeah.
Chip
Where is your. Where. Where is your wallet address, man?
Jeff
Oh, my God.
Chip
God, those bugs are loud.
Jeff
Dude, do you hear it? Do you hear that?
Chip
It's a very strange, weird sound.
Jeff
If I could find one, I'm dying to see one. I can't find them. They're probably small. What's that? I can't even see them. I don't even know where they are. I mean, I have an idea where they're yelling from, but it's not like he's sitting out on the branch like a bug.
Chip
Let me see.
Jeff
You know what it reminds me of? You remember those. Those wind up cars? You'd wind it up, go way, and you let it go.
Chip
Got that little thing?
Jeff
Yeah.
Chip
All right, let me. Go ahead. Transfer this G to put his address in here. Got the R. Get the guy left.
Jeff
He got scared. Transfer you in Louisiana.
Chip
It seems like it here. Let's do a scan. Z.
Jeff
Bug is saying it's rigged. It's that Korean accent. That's right. The cicada is definitely going off because he was all quiet until Charles won. As soon as Charles won, boom, he started getting crazy.
Chip
Oh, there it is.
Jeff
Charles again. Wham. Okay.
Chip
Submitted successfully. All you, baby. Mister.
Jeff
There you go. Same. Same sum for the rest of us.
Chip
Right to the next lottery, too. I play every lottery. Mail in lottery. I mean, you have to play some.
Jeff
That game. He must have his address on speed dial. Locust. Locust. Is that what that is?
Chip
This is the Korean.
Jeff
Know who's ours, man. Rain here.
Chip
Rain. No, he's deep. And he's in South Korea, man. He's in a. Apparently there's a rainforest in South Korea nobody knew about with weird bugs.
Jeff
Nobody.
Chip
If you rewind. See the. We had like some. We have some OGs in the house. You have rain. We had crypto. Bird dog. Amazing, man. Amazing. Going Back.
Jeff
It broke my heart if daddy was on earlier.
Chip
Yeah, that was. You were so close. The bug wants a yeti. He's staying. Me.
Jeff
He definitely want the yeti. Got any?
Chip
I think that's what he's saying. Me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me. Remember this one when it's stuck on back.
Jeff
So very strange indeed.
Chip
Back in the day. Well, out here in the jungle joining us. I'm getting ready to wrap it up and go to sleep. And your long ass day is just beginning. Maybe you'll crash. Guys, coming in was a fun show to do. I just feel weird on the side.
Jeff
I'm glad we're able to do that. It worked out perfectly.
Chip
It did work out perfectly. Now you can head back and see what the fam's up to.
Jeff
That's right.
Chip
Okay, great.
Jeff
The other way around might be a little tough girls.
Chip
Congratulations, man. You are the winner. You got it. Charles has a little army going on there. Rain says please. Rex RP Price by the end of the year. Thousand dollars. I don't know. I've given up on that.
Jeff
And Bug is out.
Chip
Going nuts all day.
Jeff
Follow me around the king. Take us on a foodie tour. Next show. It's actually a good idea because the next show will be Saturday. Saturday will be 9pm over here. And there's a high probability chance we'll be in town downtown. So I tune in. I can tune in from like, you know, wherever we are Saturday night. Maybe it'll be downtown soul. Maybe it'll be like Itaewon or somewhere in the area making the plan.
Chip
Cash velocity. No tech issues. Go figure. That's what I'm saying. Just in his own house. His mic drops out, his thing drops out, the light doesn't work. Camera broken. Meanwhile, dude, we didn't drop you once. Except for when you took yourself off camera. But that was willingly so. That's crazy.
Jeff
South Korea has through my cell phone and it's coming in as LTE. It's not even 5G. LTE strong. It's been strong everywhere. I don't even have this kind of service at home. Try to run a show like this off your cell phone at home. Forget about it. Not gonna do it.
Chip
Yeah, we'll have a good right. Thanks for popping in. We will all be rich soon. Preach, preach, my man. I'm taking. That means a lot coming from the winningest yeti in history. I'm gonna give that a lot of weight right there. So when the winner speaks, you have to listen. Jeff, you have to pay some to the winner, Charles Tomarello. Man. Let's do it. Otc. Remember members from Korea. Jeff. Find them if you want to meet some.
Jeff
That'd be a great idea. Should find out an XRP meetup over here.
Chip
Thank you.
Jeff
And you know who was here, Chip? Who are the guys that we met in Australia? That's why I should have looked up.
Chip
One guy's name was Jeff. Probably.
Jeff
We saw him in the airport.
Chip
Yeah, we saw him in the airport. We hung out with them in the. In Australia. Yeah.
Jeff
Yeah. I don't know.
Chip
You're asking me out of memory of a mouse.
Jeff
Barely.
Chip
Boom.
Jeff
Reach out.
Chip
Well, that's it, guys. That is the show on here.
Jeff
She would know. Or Matt. Is that a Valley G Or Matt. Matt were on. They would don't know.
Chip
I have to look it up. I have it somewhere. Yeah, but it's somewhere. But anyway, let's do Jeff. Jeff.
Jeff
Oh, and Bug. Oh.
Chip
See you on the next one.

The episode kicks off with a playful segment where Chip and Jeff engage listeners in guessing Jeff's secret location. Hints such as being in a coffee shop popular among XRP enthusiasts and visibility challenges set a light-hearted tone before delving into the episode's main topics.
A significant portion of the discussion centers around Ripple’s apparent low on-chain volume despite over 300 bank partnerships. Chip references Andre Jeek’s questions from YouTube regarding XRP's volatility and its role as a bridge currency. David Schwartz addresses these concerns, explaining institutional preferences for off-chain transactions and highlighting upcoming features like permissioned domains to enhance security on the XRPL decentralized exchange.
David Schwartz [05:18]: "Institutions are starting to see the benefits of moving on-chain. Features like permission domains will address security concerns."
Jeff delves deeper into the challenges DeFi faces concerning regulatory compliance, particularly around KYC and AML. The discussion highlights how XRP can coexist with stablecoins, emphasizing that bridge currencies remain essential in a multi-stablecoin ecosystem due to their ability to support a wide range of tokenized assets.
Jeff [09:16]: "The biggest issue is volatility for those holding XRP to maintain liquidity. Stablecoins, by contrast, offer fixed value, making transactions more predictable."
Stu Alderotti praises the White House’s comprehensive digital assets report, which urges immediate action from Congress and federal agencies following the Genius Act’s passage. The report emphasizes making the U.S. a crypto superpower, promoting blockchain innovation, and addressing illicit finance without blanket de-risking.
Chip [33:20]: "The White House report outlines strategic priorities like combating de-banking and promoting a free market for digital dollars."
Jeff echoes the optimism, noting the positive momentum in the crypto space over the past six months and anticipating further advancements in the next six months.
Chip announces a groundbreaking partnership between Coinbase and JP Morgan Chase, aimed at accelerating crypto adoption. The collaboration introduces a rewards program where Chase credit card points can be redeemed for USDC, marking the first instance of a rewards program directly linking a major bank to a crypto platform.
Chip [27:40]: "This is the first time there’s been a rewards program that allows you to cash in for crypto and directly link your Chase account to Coinbase."
Jeff humorously recounts his earlier skepticism about crypto custody in banks, only to see this partnership materialize sooner than expected.
The conversation shifts to XRP’s new feature—earning real yield through staking. Hugo, CEO of Flare, provides an explanation of the Firelight mechanism, detailing how staked XRP secures on-chain services and generates fees that are shared transparently with stakeholders. This non-custodial yield solution aims to enhance XRP’s utility without exposing holders to undue volatility.
Chip [29:16]: "Firelight allows staked XRP to earn real yield while maintaining transparency and non-custodial benefits."
Jeff and Chip explore the geopolitical aspects of XRP and the XRPL, discussing how Ripple’s decentralized nature fosters trust across various jurisdictions. They note Ripple’s multi-jurisdictional licensing strategies but acknowledge challenges in regions like North Korea and Cuba where Ripple's services are restricted.
David Schwartz [09:01]: "XRPL has never discriminated against any participant. If it did, people would stop using it."
In a lighter segment, Chip and Jeff discuss recent brand collaborations involving prominent figures like Sydney Sweeney and Donald Trump. The hosts critique Dunkin' Donuts' new TikTok ads featuring Trump and analyze the mixed reactions from the public. Additionally, they talk about American Eagle’s jeans campaign and its implications in the context of current social dynamics.
Chip [37:34]: "The Dunkin' Donuts ad featuring Trump has liberals flipping out, but the company seems to be doubling down on it."
The hosts engage their audience with interactive segments, including a giveaway of a rare "Badass Yeti" render. They announce winners and encourage listeners to participate by typing specific keywords. This segment underscores the community-driven nature of the platform.
Chip [55:22]: "Type in 'yeti' and you have a chance to win this beautiful render. It’s a super rare Yeti, named Gorender."
As the episode winds down, Chip and Jeff reflect on the episode's discussions, expressing optimism about the crypto industry’s trajectory. They provide teasers for the next episode, hinting at potential live streams from downtown locations and continued in-depth analysis of blockchain developments.
Jeff [61:35]: "The momentum shift has been unreal. Just think what the next six months will bring."
