Welcome to on the Chain. This is Jeff here with cohost Chip. What is going on? Chip? What's going on? Everybody out there in the on the Chain on time world. Tell you what, XRP holders. This one is for you, Pocahontas. Coming for your crypto. Hobbs killing bitcoin, if you can believe that. Once again. That's right, it is happening. We've got Elizabeth Warren trying to kill off the genius act and block stablecoin legislation, all while pretending it's all about, guess what, Chip? Protecting consumers. Spoiler alert, because we're going to talk about this. It is not. Now meanwhile in Arizona, Katie Hobbs just vetoed probably one of the more important bills, a bill to create a strategic bitcoin reserve. Calling bitcoin an untested investment. Now, are we watching clueless leadership or coordinated sabotage smash the likes? Get ready because we're gonna dig in, Chip. Head first into the shallow end for maximum impact, maximum pounds.
Chip
Welcome to on the Chain. Welcome down the chain, everybody. Just drop in where you are coming from. What part of the world you dropping in from? We already know a couple you folks got first. The free American spirit here. You just can't deal with Liz. Nobody can. Nobody. But don't. The good thing is it's like an old lady just yelling at the sky or doing a rain dance or whatever. And nobody cares. Nobody. Nobody cares. Nobody really cares. Is caring. Nobody cares beyond tonight. Yeah, we on.
Jeff
We're on. We're right here.
Chip
We're here. That's right. Rhode Island. Look at Rhode island in the house. Rhode island in the house. My brother used to live in Rhode Island. He called me one day and said, I got a five year plan to move out of Rhode island to Texas. And then six months later he said, we're building a home in Texas. And I was like, wow, that was nice. That was an accelerated five year plan. I think he's lived there for the last 10 years. He couldn't take it anymore, man. It's like, I gotta get out. So I moved to the free state of. Look at this. Easy. Gainesville. Right there. There you go. They're beautiful.
Jeff
Purple ferret.
Chip
Gainesville, Florida. All right, let's see. Let's go. What are we talking about today? Where's every Rhode Island? So we got some people. South India. All right, well, where specifically South India? That's a pretty large region. I mean South India. I mean, man, it could be a southern hemisphere. I mean, be a little bit more. Come on there in, Kumar. You got to be a little bit.
Jeff
More A little more.
Chip
A little more stink, Joe. Buddy says if you don't know who created bitcoin, you don't know they pull the rug on it. Arizona government. I don't think she made the right call. Until secret identities reveal, it doesn't matter. It runs by itself. It's decentralized. So there's nobody rug pulling. The only person that could cash in if there was a satoshi or satoshi is still alive. They could, they could, you know, maybe mess with the price by just dumping all their bitcoin. But at this point, I don't see. Bitcoin's never a hydrobot. Okay, Hydrobot. Big center there. Yeah, very cool. When we think about. There's a lot of things to analyze here, but I mean, bitcoin's not going away. And if you think about it, they have the old adage that you never forget who dug the well and who dug the well for digital assets was bitcoin. And I suggest everybody own bitcoin. But it's not financial advice. But if you're going to own something, it's probably not a bad thing. And it's probably going to go to 250 and 400 and 500 and a million at some point. It's not going to just crash and burn like a lot of people think. A lot of people would love to see bitcoin go away, but a strategic reserve for a bitcoin also paves the way for other digital assets. We saw Trump speaking late last year before the election at the bitcoin conference, talking about a bitcoin strategic reserve. And what else came out of that? Well, since then, there's also a basket as well that contains Solana, Ethereum, xrp And what's the other one? Xrp, Solana, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin's. There was one other one in there. It was Doge, right? Yep. So it's a move in the right direction. And given that's a pretty good hedge against inflation, it's probably a really good idea. But we're gonna start off the news a little bit with some ripple news. This is Reese Merrick. He is. He basically runs the Middle East. He's a director for the Middle east in Africa. We talked. We played a video yesterday about him and he was basically talking about, oh, Cardano. Okay. It wasn't. It was Cardano. Thanks for keeping us. Thanks for keeping us honest, Cardano. Thank you for keeping us honest, SD really appreciate that. That's one thing. Always content. Yeah, he's during Indonesia, you're quite the traveler. Mark Smithson so he said it was a fantastic week in dubai for the token 2049. Overall, I'd say the market's definitely maturing, so he's just sharing some key takeaways from his perspective. Said there's a big focus on institutional adoption and tokenization. Well, we know that's going on, but again it's good to see that at a conference, he said Discussions highlighted growing institutional interest in tokenization and real world assets. Conversations touched on stablecoins role in the D5 ecosystems with innovations like yield bearing, stable coins, which is pretty awesome, and cross chain interoperability gaining traction now. The event highlighted stable coins as a backbone for emerging financial applications from remittances to decentralized payments. Again, AI everywhere. Jeff and I were having a conversation about this earlier, right before the show went live, but AI and blockchain synergy panels emphasize the convergence of AI and blockchain driving innovation in decentralized ecosystems. Of course AI agents too be able to have, you'll have arbitrage bots being able to, you know, make trades on your behalf. It's going to get crazy regulatory clarity and the role that the UAE plays. United Arab Emirates crypto friendly regulations on attracting tons of international businesses to expand in the UAE and they've certainly been doing a good job of that. Also want to do a quick shout out to Ripple team, a few of who are captured in the image below who hustled all week. I'm excited about what's to come and there is the image right there of the some of the folks that attended the conference. We know this guy right here on the, on the right side there out with him over in Australia and his name eludes me at the time. I know there's three folks from Ripple that we've met. You're seem to remember his name Jeff on this gentleman right here on the right.
Jeff
Do not remember man.
Chip
I can, I can pull it up my phone and, and definitely show that it's there so I can definitely find that image at some point. I'll find that. We'll, we'll point it out. I'll throw it up on the, on the phone here. But again really cool to see what's emerging and again what's in the conversation, what people are talking about and the UAE again when you have regulations that are crystal clear and you are inviting people to come and invest and you have your own investors that are investing in projects and they want you to set up shop in the uae, that's a Positive pro crypto move. We're going to talk about some, some action going on in the United States here that's not so positive because it's no surprise to anybody that some of these things would be happening. But before we get to that, Jeff, hang on a second. Holy. What was that? That, that was a little bit of a teaser that I expect to go live, but I'm probably not going to be able to play that audio there.
Jeff
Ah, that's. It was Ross.
Chip
It was Ross. Thank you, God. Thank you, Crypto Eddie. It was Ross.
Jeff
All I could think of was just coming close.
Chip
I was, yeah, I was coming up with. I was like. I had the R. I was like Rick Roberts. Ross. That's it, Ross. Thank you very much, very much. By the way, I've got that picture with us with Crypto Eddie in that picture. I gotta be able to find that, Jeff. Yeah, so it's. Let's see, what was that? There was a. Just type in Australia. Why not? I'll just type in Australian Ross. And it should come up, right? No, no, not with Siri. Not that she's not that smart, by the way. Siri is actually getting a lot dumber these days. The more I think about Siri, the more I think about how bad Siri is getting. Is that it? Nope, that's not it. Gosh. You know, when you want to find something, you never can. It's always one of those things where you're like, it's got to be here somewhere, but you can't find it anywhere. Man, I don't know who the heck.
Jeff
Knows he is ones. Imagine with an agentic AI then you say, hey, I need to find something. And it automatically kind of picks up on, on your vibe, you know, and just knows almost instinctually what you're looking for, you know, because it's always around you. It's kind of like your right hand guy. And you're always trying to think. You got all these, you know, projects going on and you say, hey, remember we're doing such and such. And then your AI agent would just kind of respond immediately.
Chip
Yeah, that's where we go. Well, the, the agentic part will be able to do things on your behalf too, which is another big key, you know, a big differentiator too. It's gonna, it's getting to be fun and exciting and crazy and who the heck knows where this is? So I know you're in there too, Jeff. I mean, where it's like, here we go, here it is. Okay, I'll have to show this. Here we go. There we go.
Jeff
What are we looking for?
Chip
There's what we're looking for right there. So there we are with three of the ripplers. And there's Ross in the center standing next to Crypto Eddie right there. There's me on the end. And then I know one of the gentlemen has since left, but there you go. That is. That is the photo. I did find it. I was able to kind of pull it in. But there we are. See, we made appearance. So that was. That's a really cool picture, by the way, the fact that we were all together. Of course, Crypto, that he's holding a pair of drumsticks because she was banging everyone's head. No, she was not doing that. That's so wrong for you to say that or even think it. No, this was Bags was handing. Oh, who was it? Who was hanging? Who was. Oh, Berserker. Berserker was handing out drumsticks, and he's autographed the cool things on it. I. I have mine somewhere. I don't know where they are. You want to know the. One of the coolest things that I brought back from Australia.
Jeff
Was this a boomerang.
Chip
A boomerang. This is the boomerang that I bought. And it does work, too. It's a cool boomerang, man. If you. It took me a while to figure out how to throw it, but, man, it. You.
Jeff
You've thrown it, it comes right back. 1. So like the one in Mad Max.
Chip
Not like that one. No, it's not quite like that. No, it's not quite like that at all. But, Jeff, you teased this story a little bit in the beginning, but I think we need to pop through this. But this is what's going on. Ellie Terror was talking about. Senator Warren weighs in on the fate of the Genius act, denouncing its passage by the Senate. I'm told the Republicans have been preparing for initial procedural vote on the bill as early as Thursday, though it's now unclear. I don't think it matters. They don't have the majority. Not going to vote for it anyway, although they probably need one or two. And I definitely think there's going to be one or two, especially Cynthia Lummis's friend. That's that she's probably gonna vote for it. The Trump family. This is what. This is what. You know, she was basically commenting on Trump's appearance today with Kristen Welker on one of the. The early Sunday morning shows. But one of the things that was said here was the Trump Family stable Coin surged the seventh largest in the world because of shady crypto deal in the United Arab Emirates. Funny, we were just talking about that foreign government that will give shady crypto deal.
Jeff
That's what, that's what propels it.
Chip
Yeah, it's a shady crypto deal. So, so of course there's not, there's nothing but name calling behind this. Right. Because a deal with the United Arab Emirates, a foreign government that will give them a crazy amount of money. The Senate shouldn't pass a bill this week to facilitate this kind of, of corruption. This post makes virtually no sense, Jeff. It's just a lot of. She doesn't have an answer on anything, so she just throws a bunch of buzzwords out there so they hopefully maybe will stick against the wall. I don't know. It's a little bit nutty. Stu Alderotti basically commented on Pocahontas's post here. There he is, the blue crew in the House, the Liz, Senator Warren's who calls her Liz, like he knows her. He's like, she might be Elizabeth Warren to you. To some people she's Pocahontas. To me, she's just Liz. So Stu says Liz's war on crypto is all consuming. She'll block bipartisan stablecoin legislation designed to protect consumers just to take a cheap political shot. That's the only shot they got these days, if you notice. There's not a whole lot of ideas being circulated. All it is is firing and stuff, yelling at stuff, yelling at the sky. Yeah, there's. We have a video coming up about how they were so aggressive, concerned about illegal immigration. Now they're like, when they realized that was their voter block, when they ostracized every sort of segment that they used to own. You know, the working men and women gone. You know, the. They, they, they own minorities gone. I mean, for the most part. So, Jeff, I mean, this whole thing, what is your, what is, what's your take on her? Just grandstanding. It's just because now it's politically expedient for them to just trash everything going through.
Jeff
Well, that and you know, we also have another election year coming up. So they're starting to plan, you know, for 2026, and anything that they can do to try to put the Trump administration agenda on a pause or create a roadblock or create any kind of tension out in the ecosystem or any confusion, they're going to do any. That's all they have left because she's obviously, you know, been proven to be on the wrong side of history, on the wrong side of business and on the wrong side of technology. So the fact that she's on the wrong side of everything, then, you know, then you only have one other outcome and that's them trying to fear Monger and you know, the ultimate agenda again, 2026, and in the interim try to do anything they possibly can to trip up any part of the Trump administration winning all the time. You know, so I mean that's, that's really their narrative, but that's been our narrative for a long time, even before, you know, Trump was in. So she's put a crosshair on crypto and that's what it's all been about. You know, she doesn't care about business or development in this country. But she also, one of her biggest lobby groups are, you know, banks. So if the banks tell her, hey, we want you to vote a certain way, or at least the financial institutions, or at least the ones that are lobbying her, you know, if those are her bigger donors, then that's what she's going to do. She's going to, you know, abide by what they tell her. So it's kind of an interesting dynamic and to see the direction that we're moving in, you know, and see exactly what comes out on the other end. Chip, I think you and I are on the right side. I think, you know, we're gonna see this win.
Chip
Yeah, I don't, I don't know that there's enough. I don't know if Ellie Terror, it's like she's, I mean if they're gonna have a procedural vote. I, I don't, I don't see anything different. Was, was, was Elizabeth Warren gonna vote for this? Probably not. Check that out. There's another OG man, look at that. I don't necessarily think. It just seems like a lot of hoopla around this her. I mean she seems very nervous. On X, right when they named it, there were three senators that had $10 million in wealth. They couldn't explain where it came from. Guess whose name was mentioned. So who do you think is a little Panicville right now? I mean if you just follow the feed, it's Panic ville about everything. It's non stop complaining. It's just insane when you, when you think about it. Right. But that's, that's where she's at. So he talked about this too now. Katie Hobbs. Oh, I'm not going to get into how she became governor, but there were a lot of irregularities going on out there. There was a lot of funny stuff Going out there, a lot of weird stuff, right? So she becomes governor and here it is right here. Arizona governor Katie Hobbs has vetoed the state strategic Bitcoin reserve legislation after it was passed by the House and Senate. So what happened is you have this in Arizona. You have what know the same as the House and Senate and national level, but you also have that on a state level. And then the governor acts like the president will have to sign it or veto it. In this case, she vetoed it. But it went through the House and it went through the Senate. And it took a lot of deliberate deliberation for both the House and the Senate and then to only go to the governor and she calling it an untested investment. It's been around here since 2009. I don't know how it's untested. It's the only one of the very few investments that's actually made people a lot of money if compared to the S P500. He asked the question, who is Katie H. Hobbs have in her pocket? So here's the letter that she wrote today. I vetoed the Senate Bill 1025. Arizona State Retirement Systems, one of the strongest in the nation because it makes sound and informed investments. Arizonans retirement funds are not the place for to try untested investments like virtual currency. Okay, sure. But the stock market's a way better place to try that because it's not volatile at all, Jeff. It's like so, I mean, because the stock market's been around a long time, does that make it something? Does that mean it's tested? I mean, you know, I don't know. It seems like a very awkward role that she's playing there. The fact that it did. Did go ahead and get kiboshed. But again, when this is the one thing that we were hearing before the actual presidential election, we all heard this hoopla. All the crypto bros that leaned left were like, no, they're, they're thinking about it. They. Meanwhile, Kamala Harris never came out pro. She could have come out and, and killed choke point 2.0 and said, Hey, I want to put an end to this. She could have said, I don't think Gary Gensler's right for crypto. And we're going to go ahead and, you know, I'm calling for his resignation. Right, right. Would have had a powerful impact. Didn't do any of that. But what they've done is they've continued to hate on crypto. So make no mistake that the reason we're seeing a positive sec, the Reason we're seeing all these changes is simply an election. That's the only difference. Jeff. And get ready for the ramp. Here comes the rant. Jeff. Here comes. But here we go. So this really triggered the laugh that also triggered a lot of people. But, you know, Trump tweeted out or put a post on acts of, you know, an AI generated pictures him as the pontiff, the pope who recently passed away last week. And J.D. vance saw him hours before his death. So here we are. Then the White House doubled down on it, and the White House account went ahead and posted and reposted at real Donald Trump. So this got everybody in a frenzy. Jeff. So who got started getting. So here we go right here. Well, before we get to that, let's go to this right here. The New York State Catholic Conference said there's nothing clever or funny about this image. Mr. President, we just buried our beloved Pope Francis. And the cardinals are about to enter a solemn conclave to elect a new successor of St Peter. Do not mock us. First of all, Jeff, I was brought up Catholic. I spent a lot of time in the Catholic Church. I, you know, my whole entire life was in Catholic schools, spent a long time in the church. And I will say this. First of all, I was not a big fan of the pope. He did not follow Catholic Catholic doctrine. He was a Marxist. He was a hypocrite. And he's the worst pope probably. And you have to go back about 300 years. There's some pretty bad ones there along the way, too. But in recent times, just a really poor showing of any pope in recent times. He's in the, you know, very, very, very weak on so many things. We got this from. This is rich, too. So here's a governor, Kathy Hochul. She said, this is deeply offensive to me and my fellow Catholics around the world as we continue to mourn our beloved Pope. Well, you know, it's deeply effective, you know, offensive to most Catholics. Abortion. Okay, so you're okay with, with violating and also, also receiving Communion. You're not supposed to be able to receive communion if you are, you know, if you're, especially if someone who believes in, in. Or is it, you know, doesn't follow Catholic doctrine, but she does anyway. Who has been countless evidence of this. And here, if we look, if we look at this, I mean, this is insane. So you're offended by a meme, a joke, funniness. Right? And, and the, and the ability to laugh. Jeff, go on JD Vances and pull up his, his post about this, about the pope. Because he responded to somebody else. I, I can't find the post, but go ahead and find that one. And J.D. vance's X, I want to pull that one up too, because he was asked out, right? Like, what do you think? Of course, you know, he just was visiting with the Pope hours before the death. This really tweaks me a lot. Here we go. Here's Pedro Santana. He said to everyone complaining about Pope Trump, you were all silent during this. We see right through you. They had no problem mocking the last summer, the Supper, rather, they had no problem with that. Right? They reenacted this. I mean, there's a lot of outrage by supposedly Catholics, but no, nobody have, nobody stepped out and said, oh, we're offended by this. I didn't hear anything from the Catholic Church about this. Nothing from the, from the Pope about this. Nothing from the leadership in the Catholic Church. Nothing from these so called Kathy Hochuls of the world that were going to come out there and, and be so deeply offended. But this was, this was open game, right? Let's just mock the last summer, right? Last Supper. Why do you call it the last Summer? That's a great movie, by the way, the Last Supper, which they go on about. And, and also I'll play this video too. I probably have to cut the volume. I don't know about the music, but tell me how this violated Catholic doctrine right here. So I gotta cut the music here. But here's here is there's the Pope with LGBTQ crowd dancing. You think this is appropriate to bring to the Vatican? Do you think this is appropriate? Dancing and carrying on laughing? You know, I mean, you want to talk about open mockery of Catholic doctrine, right? This, this was, this was it right here. There's more offensive videos which I don't really want to get into, but even them on the bus and what they were saying on the bus before they were going to meet. This is just insane. So you're offended by a meme, but nobody was offended by this. The fact that it was violating Catholic doctrine up and right. Got the cardinal on sitting up there. They're dancing, making fools of themselves in the Vatican. Sorry, that wasn't a problem. Seemed not to be a problem, Jeff. So anyway, I mean.
Jeff
It'S offensive on so many different levels. And that's the whole point. And this is why the majority of people around the world have had enough. You know, they said, look, know, we've gotten to a point. There's zero respect. You know, all of a sudden you have to kind of, you know, Bow down in front of people that, you know, whatever you want to do behind closed doors, you know, you don't want to tell anybody about it. You don't want to, you know, do what you want to do. But as soon as you start intruding on other people's rights and space and you want to make a mockery of somebody's religious belief and, you know, you want to take that step forward, you know, they. They've so far overstepped. You know, it's. It's completely outlandish. And, you know, it's interesting that the. The Passion and the reason why we're moving back in the right direction again is because of, you know, what everyone's witnessed this. That was just kind of the icing on top of. Of, you know, of. Of the evils that have been, you know, perpetrated, you know, and. And now, you know, if you really consider the ship that's going on, it's interesting even in that. The American Idol show. So, you know, my wife watches the American Idol show. And so, you know, I sat down, I was looking, watching one segment of it, and every single one was gospel. It's like all the gospel singers are the ones that are popular.
Chip
It was Easter, Jeff. That was. It was.
Jeff
I know it's. He. I know that. But go back to the last four years, you know, did you see anybody wearing a cross? Did you see any religion? Did even Easter. Not Easter, whatever. And the passion that people had for it, you know, that never would have happened before, but even throughout the whole season, these are all the gospel singers, you know, and you could see they all, you know, came from singing in church or whatever it might be, but you could see the passion, you know, that they have, you know, for what they're. What they're doing. And from that perspective. But a year ago, you think that would have been okay. What we saw was the exact opposite. You know, we saw things like you just showed, which is agreed. This is a complete polar opposite to or to the respect, you know, and it. You know, this is the shift.
Chip
So that I happened to just turn the TV on for a split second it was on that channel. And I was like, what is. This is. I thought. I had no idea. It was like. It was right when CC Winans was just getting ready to sing and they introduced her. And like, you saw. And I was thinking, then I saw this is American Idol. Wow. And then the next couple days, I saw a couple of the other gospel singers, and. And it is a massive ship, because in my wildest dreams would I never imagine one of the largest shows that's a, that's really non, you know, having to do with any religion that would feature that. I mean, I understand that it was Easter, but you're right, Jeff, that wouldn't have happened six months ago. And so just to see something like that and the other depiction where you saw them mocking the, the Last Supper, that was on some, one of the shows, I don't remember it was a couple years ago. But everybody was outraged. The Catholics were outraged, you know, and the King said he wasn't outraged by the meme either. Of course. I mean, I wasn't outraged by the meme because I don't feel like it's mean spirited. If I felt like it was mean spirited, yeah, I probably would have been offended by it too. But it wasn't mocking. It was just, you know, again, it was, it wasn't mocking it. But if you, you know, today is the fourth, right? Go ahead, let's hear this.
Jeff
So there's John Doe. He said, my pastor this AM did touch on how we are beginning to see a resurgence in faith of late. I'm hoping it catches on. We see some celebs, athletes giving more detailed examples of their faith and the government as well. Then he could be specifically touched on what you're talking about, Chip, American Idol, whatever, you know, and we have reached that point, you know, and that's, that's, that's a thing. I mean, whatever someone's faith is, you know, allow them, you know, that, that belief system, don't intrude on it, don't try to squash it, you know, and this. And we've seen, but it's, it's taken a number of years. You know, if you go back and you start watching, you know, old sitcoms, you know, you could see it happening over time. You know, how they introduce it. Little by little, you know, it starts and it gets more and more and more and more until it's completely in your face. And, and it's, it's an interesting dynamic. You know how that I don't want to say necessarily a brainwashing, but in, in a sense it is, it's kind of a normalization to where, you know, what we've seen lately, just, you know, but that, that's the whole point, you know, when it comes to the digital asset space, decentralization, freedom, you know, we've seen an intrusion on people's freedoms across the board, and we do need, you know, that morality, you know, back in our lives. You know, people Need a direction, people need a kind of a higher calling. Otherwise, you know, if you don't have a higher calling, that it's easy to be a subject of, you know, of other, of other humans, you know, because that now you elevate know somebody to a ridiculous stature, which is what we've seen with athletes and musicians and actors, you know, they get elevated to such a stature in life and then we see politicians that kind of usurp people's freedoms, you know. But why, why is it that these people, you know, have to be idolized, you know, and why would you idolize people to begin with? You know, from that perspective you can say hey, these people are successful. Therefore I want to emulate the success and follow a path of success and learn from that, you know. And you can say, hey, this person was successful in business or this person had a successful career in music and I want to go and learn from them. I want to see all the things they did to get to that point. But that's not what we see. We see people just outright worshiping them, you know, and gravitating to their every word and every whim. And the past election cycle, if it taught us anything, is that we saw Kamala Harris, right, paying people musicians to show up because that was what was going to draw people. That was the only thing that was going to draw people, you know, to her, to her so called campaign speeches. They came there for the musician and nothing else. You know, it's just, it's such a, you know, real bizarre scenario, you know, that, that we've seen.
Chip
And Mark says the Catholics I know are involved. The Knights of Columbus, winter coat drives for needy children, volunteering at food banks, etc, helping those with less. It's always been the way, you know, you know, turkey giving turkeys away in Thanksgiving, you know, you know, it's always been about service and, and so to me, you know, I mean this. But the Catholic Church is massively corrupt. If you lot of those NGOs that USAID was, was stopping payments to, were the Catholic Church, Catholic Church, some of the out, out, what do you call it? I guess like subsidiary sort of names. These, these ngos, they were funding money into the Catholic Church. They were basically helping illegals into the country, right? So they were basically, you know, involved in breaking the law. So there's a lot of that going on. They stopped those payments and I saw probably couldn't fill a phone booth. So zober says May 4th be with you. So this started years ago. Obviously a Star wars reference on May 4th is the 4th tomorrow, Cinco de Mayo, the 5th of May. But may the 4th be with you. So what did the White House basically put out? Well, the White House put this out and there's a picture of a very muscular Trump with American eagles in the background. You know, look at. Wearing something of a. You know, he's got a lightsaber in his right hand over there, and you can just see he's got a very serious look on his face.
Jeff
Right.
Chip
But this is, this White House account is wild. I've never seen. This is the official White House. The. The stuff they're putting on. This is just. I love it, man. I'm going crazy for it. They said, hey, happy May 4th to all, including the radical left lunatics who are so fighting so hard to bring the Sith Lords, murderers, drug lords, dangerous prisoners, and well known Ms. 13 gang members back into our galaxy. You are not the Rebellion. You're the Empire. May the fourth be with you. Now, this is just an epic post out there. You're not the Rebellion. You know, you're not the Luke Skywalker. You're the Darth Vader. If you want to. If you're not familiar with Star wars, but basically calling them out is that you are the dark side. You are the evil ones. And may the fourth be with you. And you gotta just love this picture, man. I don't know. I don't know what's going on with this White House account, but it's fantastic. This is funny visual vendetta says I'm single, so I'll spay May the fourth with my hand solo. Is that a red solo cup? Is that what you're talking about? Okay, document Scrooge in the house. Let's see what else we have in here. There we go. I'm not a fan of the accidentally followed Catholic doctrine better than the last one did. Yeah, I mean, that, that's something that I've given a lot of thought to as well. And you know, it was a tasteless look. It's. I didn't feel like it was. I didn't feel like it was mean spirited. There's a lot of mean spirited memes which are a little bit different. Might have caused a little bit offense. It may not. But to me, I do see that as just kind of tweaking people a little bit. And that's how it sort of looks. AI Brad Garlinghouse is the next pope. XRP moons to $3. Great.
Jeff
250.
Chip
Is that what a moon looks like today, Charles? That's What a moon looks like today.
Jeff
It does actually.
Chip
Guys, tell about the genuine bitcoin. Go one. That means what?
Jeff
What does that mean?
Chip
I don't know what that means. I don't. I really don't know what that means.
Jeff
Well, for that reason, we're at the bottom of the hour. We're going to take a quick commercial break.
Chip
Please do.
Jeff
Here we go.
Chip
Let's go. From the word of the day.
Jeff
Yeti.
Chip
You got your arm and wallet ready? Why? Cuz this is going to be about. It's time. Time to claim your legendary blue Drive Yeti clan. Pencil this name. Shoulder.
Jeff
Let's go.
Chip
Yeah. Catchy. Catchy. Badass Yeti's on the chain, guys. We have. I want to see how many people we've got here so far in there. Let's see. For some reason. Hang on a second. Something happened to that. We got 13 entries in there.
Jeff
That's awesome.
Chip
It is fire dude. It was fire, dude. Where can you get an original song and original graphics for every time we give away a Badass Yet? Right here on the chain. That's how we do things around here. And pretty soon we're getting ready to mint a new collection. Badass chimps are coming to a town near you. Or better yet, XRP Cafe. That will be happening this month. Fingers crossed and everything. So that's what's gonna. That's what we're gonna be going into. So that's gonna be really awesome.
Jeff
Deserves a Grammy chip. We get a Grammy.
Chip
It's fantastic. Really is. So, Jeff, so the morning shows today. This is Jonathan Capehart, right? He's another one of these commentators on one of these fake news media organizations. So listen to this. Jeff, what do you make of the.
Jeff
President'S moves at this time? Not just about pbs.
Chip
This is not just about us.
Jeff
It's part of a larger campaign here.
Chip
So the whole idea is that. And I'll get into another post as well, but Trump went ahead and defunded pbs was government funded, also npr. And why do they need funding? Why would the government be involved in funding propaganda, Leftist propaganda? It doesn't make any sense. But she's gonna ask him his serious. Jonathan, what do you think here? Jonathan, please give us your opinion.
Jeff
Right, but I think what the President.
Chip
Is doing, it is a fundamental attack on our Constitution, on the foundation of this country. Jeff, please. How is defunding a media organization that really the government has no business funding anyway? Explain to us, please, how does that. How is that against our Constitution? What. Where exactly does that violate the Constitution Right.
Jeff
It doesn't, it doesn't violate the Constitution in any way, shape or form. Harvard also tried to, you know, make a claim like that. I, I just. At what point did government become responsible for all of these entities? Right. So it, we, we saw that, hey, you want to have national, what is it? National Public Radio and Public Broadcasting Services or whatever it stands for? You know, and so it, maybe it served a purpose at a time when he had maybe like two or three channels and they needed another one, maybe for education or government messaging. But it lost its way, you know, a long time ago. You know, you look at the, the stuff they put out, npr, the stuff that, the, the type of content they put out was all leftist, you know, ideology. Same thing with PBS. It went from Sesame street and Mr. Rogers that was wholesome to, you know, it was all about Cookie Monster and counting and Count Dracula and all of that to, I don't know what, you know, like, what, what, what are they? What, you know, what happened to it. Not, not that I'm sitting around watching Mr. Rogers or Sesame street even, even when Aries was growing up, I don't, you know, he never watched any of those shows. I think he took in a lot more NASCAR and F1 that in those early years than he did all of that.
Chip
But they get the boomerang. Chef. PBR says they get the boomerang. I like that comment right there. I'm going to bring that up when we're not playing the video, but let's listen to the rest of the video. Okay, so what we've learned so far, very serious question, by the way, what is Trump doing? He's violating the Constitution. That's number one. Okay, so there we go. Let's go.
Jeff
People need to understand and remember, there is only one profession that is protected in the Constitution, and it is the free press. It is the press.
Chip
And why?
Jeff
Because the founders understood that the survival of a democracy depends on an informed citizenry. And the citizenry can only be informed by a press that can report and.
Chip
Do, you know, report on the affairs.
Jeff
Of the republic, free and unfettered. And whether they are, you know, come.
Chip
From the left or from, from the right, the government should not interfere with that reporting. And so when you have a president of the United States who is making it his mission to attack the free.
Jeff
Press, we should all be concerned whether we are at PBS or whether we are at msnbc, because he's focused on us, too. Not the same.
Chip
This. First of all, what, what it protects, what the Constitution protects is against Censorship, it does not protect against free government handouts. Okay. There's nothing in the Constitution that says you'll continue to get free government handouts. Just put your hand out and we will continue to supply. You know, protects a free and open press against censorship. But it does not say anything in the Constitution about. And again why are they even funding them to begin with? I mean it's ridiculous. By the way, Ray Ron says you guys do the two things people say never to bring up politics and religion. I think you got to start a new show. Well we also talked about.
Jeff
We talk about things that's not afraid of it.
Chip
Things that we keep it honest and that's the best way to go. That's true. Right. A lot of people say what the three things you don't bring up. It's like you know when you get the family gatherings politics and religion. Right. You're never supposed to bring that up. And ah. That comes up pretty often. What are you gonna do? Can you interview Expectorant? We'll have to do. We'll have to circle back for that to. To definitely get an update. The press lost the privileged status. And the funny thing about like when you think about even like Harvard, some of these have these endowments which are insane. They're a hundred billion dollars, they're $60 billion insane.
Jeff
What their endowment is about going to Harvard.
Chip
It's like 80 to 120k a year and they have 7000 students and that's just the undergrad program. So what about the. You know where. What are you doing with this money? Like what are you possibly doing? The other thing that they came up there was a study done recently where they said that the number of admins inside of higher learning institutions or even high schools has quadrupled even like 6x10x what it used to be back in the 1950s and 60s. So it's just like hiring people. You know, I know you got infrastructure and stuff but do you need all these people? Why doesn't a lot of the tuition. What are the endowments for so you can continue to get rich. Now some of them are protected. If somebody gives shares of stock, you know a lot of times they're protected. They can only sell them in certain cases. And I get that. So the number isn't really. But also too sometimes you have to get. You have to get permission to sell a proportion of it so it's not mishandled, misused. But I just don't honestly understand that. Right there. Here is. Right there we are the News now. No, we all are the news. You guys are the news. And, and that's what Elon Musk said. We are the news. We make the news. We get it out there. By you guys being here and expressing your opinion, you're putting it out there. All of us are the news. And, and we can. We can dispel all this garbage we hear. Jeff.
Jeff
Right. So what do you think if you have. So let's take Harvard as an example. They have an endowment valued at. As of June 30th of 2024, they had an endowment valued at $53.2 billion, which is the largest academic endowment in the entire world. So then, you know, as you kind of read through it, what is the structure and the purpose of the endowment? They have all that money. Obviously, there's some interest, you know, earned off of it. It's not a checking account. They don't just use it to cover whatever their cost is. But, you know, as you kind of go through it, it looks like it says here their fiscal year 2024 performance. It says in fiscal year 2024, the endowment returned 9.6% and increased in value by $2.5 billion. For that year, distributions from the endowment contributed about 40% of their operating revenue. So if the endowment covers 40%, and to your point, you know, where does the tuition go? Like, what is their revenue generated? How much do the professors earn? How much does, you know, what is their administration look like? How much does the president of the university earn? So how much money, if you actually break it down, this actually spent total on administrative costs. And to your point, and this is where we need full transparency when it goes to, like, public school systems and things like that, because you brought. You hit it right on. And this is where the blockchain comes in, you know, crucial, which is why DOGE is also going through and trying to create its own, you know, ledger and account balancing for the government, which is the per. What Elon Musk has been tasked with to see and look for all the. The money lost and, you know, the over expense and, and everything. The school system is so overburdened by administrative, you know, what. What's the purpose of all of it? You know, what. What do you need, you know, that in depth of a administrative. And, and why is that, you know, so expensive? But look at, look at what people are paying per year. And granite, it includes room and board. And room and board in these, you know, places are really expensive, you know, which is also outrageous. The amount of money that you spend for real estate, you know, for a rental of a dorm room, you know, that is what. I don't know, whatever the square footage of it is, but it's, it's crazy. So there you go.
Chip
Pricier.
Jeff
Look at the revenue.
Chip
Yeah. So the undergrad, $413 million in a year. The graduate program is 1.26 billion. So roughly about 1.67. Almost 1.7 billion a year. From tuition. Just from tuition. So. And so that $400 million there were still. I don't remember exactly what it was, but it's, you know, it's a couple. It's a couple hundred million dollars. Like, why is this going to all of a sudden? This is a private institution, by the way, so why, why are they going to suddenly. And they're also tax exempt, of course, not for long. I think taking these tax exemption away from them too, because they're not acting like. They're not acting like a university, but it's. It's pretty crazy. I found this. I found the, the JD Vance one. So Bill Crystal, who is, who is a, you know, a rhino warmonger, uh, he says, hey, J.D. vance, are you fine with the disrespect and mocking of the holy Father? Thought it'd be clever, right? And. And basically asked J.D. vance what he thought. J.D. vance said, hey, as a general rule, I'm fine with people telling jokes. I'm not fine with people starting stupid war that kills thousands of my countrymen. Boom, done. Thank you very much. So, yeah, telling jokes. I'm okay with joking around. Right? It's what it was. It was a joke. It wasn't. And all of a sudden it's mocking. But nobody had a problem with any of the other mocking. Jeff, you brought up Sesame street before Holly Robinson. Pete. Holly Pete who? Or Holly Robinson who used to be on. I don't know, she's an actress. But she put this up. She said, my dad was the original Gordon on Sesame Street. We remember Gordon. I literally and figuratively grew up on this streak. He introduced the world. The big bird and Mr. Hooper and Oscar and all the people in the neighborhood. Imagine a world where this never happened because PBS was defunded. Well, first of all, I loved Gordon. Gordon was a great dude on that show. And, you know, I mean, but to say that that show wouldn't have existed because of PBS is kind of ridiculous. And why is it the government's responsibility to fund anything? Right? This is. How does this get out of hand? And what was the funding, Jeff? What, what is the by the way didn't Sesame street move over to, over to HBO anyway? Did I see that right?
Jeff
I don't even know.
Chip
Maybe I don't even think they're on pbs. Maybe they showed like the reruns. But I think they moved over to hbo. They moved over to some other network. So I don't necessarily think it's, you know. Hey, this is a good question right here, Jeff. Sorry for asking, but how do I join the discord? Isn't the discord down below in the comments on you on YouTube?
Jeff
It is. It definitely is.
Chip
So go in there. It does tell you there's the link to it. We can also grab that for you as well. So look, I mean this whole thing will. Imagine if it. Well, Sesame street was a good thing, but before they got into the woke stuff and all this ridiculous, you know, stuff, they used to teach great lessons. Like you said, Mr. Rogers neighborhood was always a lesson. Gordon always had a lesson, right? That was like, that's what the show was about, teaching kids how to act, right, how to do the right thing. You know, that's what Sesame street was about through puppetry and through actual events like teaching kids how to conduct themselves and how to do the right thing. It's kind of what it was. It had a moral sort of a fiber until it lost its moral fiber. So what are we funding propaganda? Why are we using our taxes? And why, why can't they pick up funding? By the way, if you notice on PBS they always talk about the, every time, they always thank whoever the donors are, they have other donors. The US is a small part of the funding and if they're going to go under, they can't build an audience they don't deserve to be around anyway. So what are you doing? I mean it's ridiculous, right? Canada, CBDC is overtaken by government. Exactly. Well, it said the BBC as well. So this is what you happen when you have state controlled media. They basically tell them what to do, how to do it and 24 7. So you don't really have much of a, a say in any of that. There's some other crazy stuff going on, Jeff, let me see here. So you playing music in the background. Was I hearing that right? So Trump put this up on True Social. He said, he said rebuild and open Alcatraz. For too long, America has been plagued by vicious, violent and repeat criminal offenders. I don't know if you've ever been to Alcatraz, Jeff, but it's in pretty, it's been a, pretty much a disarray I've been there a couple times. You know, you go in there with tours, you know, whatever. And it's especially the solitary confinement is a pretty creepy place. They say that there's one area where the way the wind would sort of blow, you could. Sometimes there's like late parties on New Year's Eve. You could hear like voices would actually carry across the. The bay area there and. But it's, it's. It's pretty desolate. I don't know how they rebuild it. It's pretty rough. But again, it's. It's very cold there. It's on. It's basically on the rock, you know, it's sitting in the middle of the bay there. But he's saying that the. The vicious, violent and repeat criminal offenders and the dregs of society who will never contribute anything other than misery and suffering when we want a more serious nation. In times past, we did not hesitate to lock up the most dangerous criminals, keep them far away from anyone they could harm. That's why it's supposed to be. No longer will we tolerate these serial offenders who spread filth, bloodshed, mayhem on our streets. That's why today I'm directing the Bureau of Prisons all together, together with the Department of Justice, FBI and Homeland Security to reopen and substantially enlarged and rebuilt Alcatraz to house America's most ruthless and violent offenders. We will no longer hold held hostage the criminals, thugs and judges who are afraid to do their job and allow us to remove criminals who came into our country illegally. The reporting of Alcatraz, reopening of Alcatraz will serve as a symbol of law, order and justice. We will make America great again. What do you think about that, Jeff? I like that.
Jeff
There you go. Steve Willets counts as XRP does it in the councilways.
Chip
That's funny. That's some funny stuff. There's an old picture of it too, but there's parts of that that are just decayed rotten door doors. You know, there's parts of that, you know, where some of the, the, the guards and stuff were on the island and it's. It's just falling apart. I don't know how you rebuild it. I don't know if you. Game three one. Wow. Interesting.
Jeff
Nice.
Chip
Interesting.
Jeff
That's a big game.
Chip
That's a big game.
Jeff
Big game. Yeah.
Chip
So another one on True Social for you. This is interesting too. Said the movie industry in America is dying a very fast death. Other countries are offering all sorts of incentives to draw our filmmakers and studios away from the U.S. hollywood and many other areas within the USA are being devastated. This is a concerted effort by other nations and therefore a national security threat. It is, in addition to everything else, messaging and propaganda. Therefore, I'm authorizing the Department of Commerce and the United States Trade Representative to immediately begin the process of instituting a 100 tariff on any and all movies coming into our country that are produced in foreign lands. We want movies made in America. Again. Bam. Now, I'll be honest with you, Jeff. I don't necessarily agree with this. If you're doing about. If you're doing a movie about going to Paris, you're certainly not gonna film it in Paris, in Las Vegas. Okay? It's not gonna happen. All right? So, you know, it's not going to be. If you're filming a movie about Italy or the UK or whatever, it make. Doesn't make sense to. To post it here. So I don't know how much this is actually going to happen. I understand the best way to do that would be to offer incentives. Okay, they're offering incentives. Great. We'll lower the tax, make it. You know, I know a lot of that's done on a state level, but where they can cut regulations on a national level. But I don't agree with, like, you know, you're gonna try to have every movie made here. It's not. It's not good. Look at the Walking Dead with Daryl Dixon. You can't make. It's. He's in France or Spain. You can't pretend it's France or Spain here. But a lot of the crime dramas are filmed in Vancouver. And then they. They tell you it's la, or they tell you it's New York. Right. So a lot of them went to Canada because it was a lot. Because Canadians were offering incentives. They were saying, come on up here, shoot all you want. We'll give you a lot of incentives, tax breaks. You can't blame them for wanting to do it. You know, when the US Here. I know up in Georgia, Jeff, they do a lot of. There's a big film production going out. There are a lot of TV shows because Georgia opened up the doors and said, hey, we want film crew. So a lot of things are produced in Georgia these days. A lot of movies are made there, a lot of TV shows, because they basically dropped regulations and they attracted. I mean, Georgia doesn't seem like a hotbed of place you. You would go to for shooting, but there's a couple major studios up there in Atlanta. There's three big ones up there. That do a lot of shooting a lot of TV shows because. Just because of that very thing and, and almost nothing shot in LA anymore. Almost nothing.
Jeff
I used to be down here in South Florida.
Chip
South Florida used to have a too but again a lot of regulations change but there used to be a hotbed of a lot of filming as well. But I don't know what, I don't know what fell off the, the, the boat there but something, something definitely happened there. And it's. South Florida is not. No longer the, the home of, of movie making.
Jeff
Well, they took away the tax incentive.
Chip
That was it. That was it. And they, and once, once you do that, it killed it. Now Jeff, this is. Somebody put this on and the whole theory behind this was right before the election. Do you remember what the Democrats are saying about the high prices? Wasn't their fault. Wasn't they're doing. They didn't own the inflation. It was price gouging, Jeff. And as soon as November 4th happened, the conversation disappeared. And here they are. Let's revisit. You're still too high. I get it. Which is why I have a plan that is about bringing down the cost of groceries, including going after corporate price gouging.
Jeff
Grocery prices are up because of good.
Chip
Old fashioned corporate price gouging. That the cost of his gasoline had gone up 50% for no reason. And I think we got to get at the price gouging. It's time to stop the price gouging. Give the American consumer a break. Yeah, well, the price gouging was a way to transfer responsibility to. Let's go out to those greedy corporations who have an expensive supply chain and elevated fuel cost and therefore making the boxes smaller, putting less product in there, trying to keep their head above water. But those greedy corporations, Jeff, God, they should be punched in the face, shouldn't they? Here's speaking of Canada, here's Mr. Wonderful Kevin O'Leary talking about Alberta. This is interesting question.
Jeff
What's going on in Alberta? And two, how stiff of a climb does Carney have to get his economy in the right direction? Well, he started right out of the gate in the wrong direction. He added more carbon taxes to business. That's the first thing he did. People were shocked. That's what made Alberta crazy. They just don't get it. And I don't get it either, frankly. The economy will continue to decline and there'll be an election soon. You've got to remember something about the parliamentary system in Canada. He did not win a majority. He won a minority government. And if you look at the history in Britain and Canada and other places with parliamentary structure, a guy that comes in that doesn't win a majority, he gets whacked pretty soon, probably 12 to 18 months. So I don't think this guy gets it yet. He's going to have to work pretty hard to win over the Albertans, and I'm not sure it's going to happen. They are talking about sovereignty of their own. They create most of the wealth in Canada and distribute it to other provinces that don't have it. And they're a little pissed off.
Chip
Geez, what does that sound like? They, their, their hard work and they're break backing. They're, they're, they're breaking their backs to, you know, all of a sudden, you know, for. With all the natural resources they have there and it gets distributed elsewhere. It sounds a lot like socialism to me. Off their hard work. Now, in all fairness, it is the third most productive province, right behind Ontario is what I think number one. But it is number three. But some of those other provinces, they're like 0.6. They, they have, they produce nothing. So you're right. A lot of the infrastructure and a lot of the costs are distributed. But I'll be honest with you, Jeff. I'm not sure this guy won. I believe he was installed. I believe he never had to work for it. I believe the whole Trump thing was all, Trump's the bad guy. Listen, people, there you go. Balloons are going the. I just, I'm not buying it. So there's so many irregularities with this election. I just don't believe that, that the Canadian people wanted the carney, especially after knowing how he's worse. I mean, what they're about to find out is he's way worse. You thought Trudeau was bad. You have no idea. This guy's a globalist shill who cares nothing about Canada. He didn't live there for nine years. He has businesses. He moved from Canada to New York. He's a, he's a, an ex, you know, banker, but even worse from a central bank guy. I mean, is this guy you want running your country? That's why he was installed. And how does a guy like that, all of a sudden he's the guy you're gonna put in? Not, not, you know, anybody else who's been around the block a bunch of times? Something is very sus there, Jeff. I am not buying it whatsoever. I think there's some funny business going on, but I don't think they're gonna ever. What's he Saying this is the most.
Jeff
Bizarre comment I think I've ever read on. On the show. Mike is. He said, oh, my God, just had the crap scared out of me. And a man came through the woods and asked me to turn down the radio, so I did. I said, are you in the woods? He said, no, turn it off. I don't believe the crap you listen to.
Chip
Dude, what are you listening to? My God, that's crazy.
Jeff
He's listening to us.
Chip
So, Jeff, one of your. One of your favorite people in Congress had this to say. Ilhan Omar. Listen to this.
Jeff
Big shout out to the guy in the woods.
Chip
Yeah, thank you. Here you go.
Jeff
The guy is.
Chip
But here's your favorite congresswoman, Ilhan Omar. Ready? A lot of conservatives in particular would say that the rise in Islamophobia is.
Jeff
A result not of hate, but a fear, a legitimate fear, they say, of.
Chip
Quote, unquote, jihadist terrorism, whether it's Fort.
Jeff
Hood or San Bernardino or the recent.
Chip
Truck attack in New York.
Jeff
What do you say to them?
Chip
I would say our country should be more fearful of. Of. Of white men across our country because they are actually causing most of the deaths within this country. And so if fear was the driving force of. Of policies to keep America safe, Americans safe inside of this country, we should be profiling, monitoring, and. And creating policies to fight the radicalization of white men. There you have it, Jeff. White men, we're the problem. Jeff. There you go. The white men are. We're absolutely the problem. Let's say. Why do you keep playing on the Chain Song, dude? We can hear that. You know, can you hear that Badass Yeti's on the Chain?
Jeff
It's now in our background music.
Chip
Yeah, I wanted to play this one. I came across. I've seen this a bunch of times, but again, this is where I got into a debate about somebody, and they're like. I'm like, look, people on the left and right want him out. There's. He's about. They're like, he's not the rule of law. And he had all four lawsuits and judgments against him. I'm like, sure, 40 some years. And. And as a big New York investor, opening hotels all over the world, you know, kept his record clean. And even after he was no longer president, the left wasn't too concerned about them. The day after he announced he's running, all of a sudden, everything. Next on the left. So everything. The. The floodgates opened up, and here we have it. But here is Sammy the Bull Graviano, who is one of the who's one of the. The Mafiosas back in the day. They made a movie about it. But here's him talking about Trump.
Jeff
My night. Listen to this useless zero.
Chip
I had to press up on Trump. But you could never get to him. Yeah. Because he had ex FBI agents all around him all the time.
Jeff
And I tried a couple of times.
Chip
To press him and bribe him, make arrangements where I could work with him and earn with him.
Jeff
I did that with other big contractors.
Chip
I had the power of the unions. I could do all kinds of little things, but I couldn't get to him.
Jeff
He wouldn't bite.
Chip
He just wouldn't bite. He didn't want to do anything like that. And there was layers of people in the middle. One of my guys said, we'll go up to the office. I said we'll go up the office. Everybody around him is an ex FBI agent. We'll go up the office, we'll get cuffed and we'll go right to prison.
Jeff
So forget about Trump.
Chip
He's a legitimate guy. He don't want to do it. Forget about Trump.
Jeff
Yeah, there you go.
Chip
Yeah. Couldn't be bribed. Right. Here's a guy that you know, he. This is Sammy the Bull Gravano who is the Gambino crime family. Yeah, but he's. What did he say there? He bought off the unions, paid for politicians, contractors, everybody who would bite. But the one guy who wouldn't bite. And this so, but this is the same guy apparently that assaulted some woman who couldn't remember the year, who couldn't remember the. Barely the place that was supposedly assaulted in a dressing room. But nobody heard it, nobody was. No witnesses. She no longer had the so called dress. So. But yeah, well go ahead and convict the guy. Right? And then the same one about the. How much is mar a lago worth? And the bank came in and testified is like we'll do business with this guy again because he paid us early and he paid all the interest. Right. So.
Jeff
Right.
Chip
I mean. And I said if you don't believe what I'm saying, just the American people thought it was all. Nobody believed it anyway. Jeff. So there was, there was that, that bit of it where nobody was, was, was biting. But check this out. You want to see what new levels of low that CNN has dropped to check out who they're interviewing now.
Jeff
Trump administration, you are a terrorist.
Chip
This is an MS.13 member. Now they're interviewing MS.13 about Trump. Dude, you know, it's over when you hit this level.
Jeff
Trump administration, you are a Terrorist. The cartels have been labeled foreign terrorist organization. What do you make of that?
Chip
Situation is ugly.
Jeff
What's your message to Donald Trump? If he's watching this.
Chip
According to him, he's looking out for his people. Problem is the consumers are. And the, the United States, there weren't any consumers. We would stop.
Jeff
Yeah, well, they're, they're, they're scared because of, you know, as soon as they were labeled a terrorist organization, you know, everything changes because now you have different layers within our U. S. Military that can go and operate regardless of what country it's in. So, you know, it's going to happen. If they're a terrorist and it's being, and they're being harbored by whichever entity, whichever country, then, you know, the country's got an issue as well, you know, so there were, there were a lot, there was a lot more to labeling them a terrorist organization than purely just dealing with them. It's also a matter of dealing with Mexico and dealing with any other country in Latin America that might be considered harboring them. It also allows, you know, things like if we look at what El Salvador, you know, is able to do to create a peaceful coexistence within their country. Yep. So there, there are a lot of, you know, a lot of moving pieces to this. But thank goodness, you know, because Trump has one passion and that's the betterment of this country, making this country great, keeping it great and moving it forward. The previous administration had the exact opposite. Wanted to flip the narrative, flip this country on the head, wide open borders and create the, you know, make sure that this country was unsafe for. For everybody else, you know, so I think there are a lot of dynamic to it. It's, it's unfortunate that CNN is just chasing headlines and.
Chip
Oh, my God, you know, that's it, Chip. It's hard to understand. So Trump was on this. This is a funny little segment, Chris. Tristan welker, but she also moderated one of the debates. But here's Trump talking. I love how he talks very openly now to the press.
Jeff
So fake. Including, like, even the way you ask questions. Every question is asked in a negative vein. There's a toy company that took a toddler's, you know, whatever, and. But you don't talk about the fact that gasoline is down at numbers that nobody believes possible.
Chip
You know why they're down, by the way?
Jeff
Drill, baby, drill. We're drilling like crazy right now. We try to make sure every question is fair.
Chip
Yeah. By your standards, every question is fair. We try to make, we Try. Yeah. Well, by the end of the interview, I'm going to try to give you a million dollars. You think you're going to have it? I'll try. Really hard. Super try, Mr. President.
Jeff
Look, every question you ask says a very negative slant. No, no, but I'm just, I'm fine.
Chip
For responding to you.
Jeff
I don't think you're very difficult at.
Chip
All to respond to, to be honest with you. But you know what?
Jeff
You should ask some positive things.
Chip
Like, sir, it's amazing what you've done with gasoline.
Jeff
Because you know what?
Chip
Gasoline is big business.
Jeff
A stroller is not big business.
Chip
You just throw punchers the whole time. It's just so funny because he's not putting up with it anymore.
Jeff
No, I mean, it's, It's. We've gotten to a point of absurdity. I mean, that's, that's what it's all about. It's. It's so absurd. Where they brought us.
Chip
Well, this is.
Jeff
We've moved beyond it.
Chip
People have probably heard before. They've probably seen the one about the, the lion and the hyenas keep messing with the. Well, this is. They've, they've changed the video out for this. But let's watch this. I think this is Christopher Walken narrating it. Jackals, hyenas barking at him, laughing at him. They never stole and eat the food.
Jeff
That'S in his domain.
Chip
They do this and they get closer and closer and boulder and boulder.
Jeff
Until one day that lion gets up.
Chip
And tears the shit out of everybody.
Jeff
Runs like the wind, eats everything in his path.
Chip
Cause every once in a while, the lion has to show the jackals. Yes, the show the jackals. And Jeff, when we think about belief systems, right? If you think about the left does very little as far as when it comes to, you know, hey, you're told something and you just grab it hook, line and sinker. Yes, yes, yes. You get a narrative, you run with it. No critical thinking. Like me. Research this a little bit. Something might be a little bit off. Here's a little trick that was done. Let's. We'll. We'll watch it as it goes through. But here's a little trick and shows you just how easy it is to trick people. And with zero critical skills, thinking skills. Here we go. The fake luxury store. Filled it with avant garde sculptures and displays. We even hired a full team of sales associates.
Jeff
Then we filled all the shelves with.
Chip
Payless shoes and jacked up our prices as much as 18. Now, if you don't know payless shoes in the United States. Payless Shoes is a discount shoe retailer. Right. They don't sell for that much money, but again, they're well made shoes. They're just not the designer brands. Right, but that's what Payless is in the United States. Just letting you a little bit of stuff there, 100%.
Jeff
And finally we gave it what you might call a fancier name. Hey, Lesi, welcome to Pelosi is just.
Chip
Such high quality, high fashion. It's taking your shoe game like up.
Jeff
To the next thing.
Chip
Very, you know, European, very. Yeah, you know, upscale. The guests at the Pelesi grand opening party had no idea any of these shoes were from Payless. It looks really well made. I love a heel that's kind of chunky because it means you can like jump up and down, do some backflips. Maybe it's a center. It's one of those shoes that you're just going to get compliments on over and over again.
Jeff
Elegant, sophisticated and versatile.
Chip
For me to experience this as a Italian designer is amazing. I could definitely wear this to like a Met gala dinner.
Jeff
Just think it's so unique.
Chip
I would definitely spend 295 on a pump like this. I would pay like 3, $400 for these shoes for sure. I'd probably spend about 500 on this.
Jeff
Compliments are great and all, but with.
Chip
These fashionista influencer types open up their wallets for our shoes. We watched from room backstage as our.
Jeff
First customer approached the register.
Chip
We all celebrated the first sale, but.
Jeff
Then we witnessed more and more shoes selling. Shoes sold for 250, 400 and even $600.
Chip
But before any of them left, we let them know the shoes were actually from Payless. No way. You've got to be kidding me. Shut up. Are you serious? This is the fact. So this is, this is the.
Jeff
I remember when that happened.
Chip
Do you think there were any conservatives in that storage? Just asking for a friend. You think there are any like hardcore conservatives in there? But to see and the point's not about this is how easier belief system can be tweaked just because they were told Pelesi, not Payless. Paylessi was a great new amazing upscale designer.
Jeff
Designer.
Chip
No. If they knew, especially I was shocked by the Italian designer. If you actually looked, you could discern that they're not made on that level. Yes, they're well made shoes, but there's nowhere near, Jeff, that they're made on these designer shoe levels. They bought it. They, they were stripped of any critical thinking. They probably saw Something that didn't look right, but they went along with it. This is how easy your belief system can be triggered, can be owned. And that's what happens on the left.
Jeff
It's amazing to me, I mean, to see, you know, they just look at the price tag, you know, they believe the hype. They look at the price tag and it's got to be good. And it's interesting because you know, they play, you know, this narrative plays over and over again. You know, even like if you go out to a restaurant, think about the next time you go out to eat. Pick up the wine list, look, you know, look, look at the wine list, look at the pricing of the bottles, right? There's typically low price, medium price and everything else is high price, right? So unless you're, you can discern the higher price wine and you know exactly what you're going after. A lot of times you'll go, and you might not recognize them or you might recognize a one off and you'll say, okay, that's the one I want to get. But for the most part people are afraid to take the low price wine for whatever it is. It's a, it's psychology, you know, so they'll go, typically they'll look at the higher price and they'll settle on a mid price. But typically the value is with the lower price wine, you know, unless again, unless you're targeting, let's say, I don't know, just random, you know, something, you know, if there's like a Chateau de Pulp or something like that that, you know, specifically there's the, the, you know, the winery or you know, maybe it's like Duckhorn or something like that that you're going after specifically or like when we were out and we had that opus, you know. Oh yeah, you know, so there's scenarios where like, okay, there's something specific but for the most part, you know what's wrong. The, a good restaurant, they go through a lot of detail picking out wines and even the lowest price wine is going to be decent, you know, and, but they, they, they, it's a psychology thing. And, and so that's where people end up at a higher price or at a medium price because they're embarrassed to go and buy the, the lower priced wine.
Chip
Yeah, I frequent, I frequent a, you know, a bunch of people get together, they all bring a bottle of wine and one of the gentlemen is very known for. He, he's a, he's a connoisseur, he's a sommelier. So he, he's A very. He's an expert. He understands wine better than most people. But he happened to just bring this cheap bottle of wine one time. People are like, oh, my God, this is great. Great. It's fantastic. He goes, look, it's nine bucks, man. It's not. It's not. It's not a. It's not a big wine. But again, it tasted really good. And it wasn't that, you know, it had a nice label and stuff, but I'm always amazed, especially the whites did somebody would spend an exorbitant amount of money for whites? I'll be honest. I can't really tell too much of difference. I can tell here and there the red's a little bit more. A little bit more, you know, a little bit closer on that. But I can't drink a lot of red wine anyway. It's like, man, it's just. Next thing you know, you're, you know, two wines. Two. Two glasses, and you got this raging headache. Your head's pounding. I'm like, nah, man, some people love it.
Jeff
Go through a bottle of wine.
Chip
Yeah, it's a lot, man. It's not my thing. I. I could drink a lot of.
Jeff
But it's got to be a good wine, too. As long as it's a decent wine. It's not.
Chip
Jeff, you didn't know you'd be ranting about Payless, did you? Chef's Sunday night.
Jeff
That's right.
Chip
I saw that. I thought. And, gosh, that was.
Jeff
That was a couple years ago, but.
Chip
That was a few years ago. But still, it just goes to show you that when someone believes and they're told something, they believe it. There's been a lot of these type of things that happen. A lot of it's peer pressure, too. There's a camera. Someone's sticking a camera, and they talk about it.
Jeff
Part of it. Right.
Chip
You know, so there's a lot of different things that influence somebody's decision. But maybe somebody looked at it and thought, like, I don't know, man, something doesn't seem. Seems awful issues. But they discarded it because, you know, it's like, this is Pelosi. This is a huge brand, you know?
Jeff
Yeah. Well, this. It legendaries. And I wonder how much they pay for a Foot Locker shoes. Well, the thing is, look at how much those Foot Locker shoes cost, and then ask yourself how much you're willing to pay for them. You know, they're made in China.
Chip
Jordans or not.
Jeff
Right. You know, but. But, you know, the. The rage, you know, that's gone on on shoes. People are crazy about shoes now, you know, and so if you get the Nike Air Force ones or I have no idea what people wear, but whatever it is, you know, I get it. You want to get a good pair of running shoes, you want to good, get a good pair of cord shoes. But people get, you know, they're paying, you know, hundreds and hundreds of dollars for Nike shoes. Right? And since when, at what point, you know, has Nike become good again? You know, they don't have a good running shoe, they don't have a good court shoe, they don't, they don't have a good tennis shoe, they don't have, you know, they're just maybe basketball. That's probably it, you know, but it's, it's interesting, you know, I don't know. You know, it's just like I haven't, I haven't worn a Nike running shoe in a long time. I don't think I have. But like Adidas. I like Adidas tennis shoes for tennis, you know, the, you know, but then you have like new b. Running shoes. I like Brooks, you know, and so it's, it used to be like Nike had like a. They were everywhere. What about Reebok? Did Reebok just disappear?
Chip
Reebok is still around, Jeff.
Jeff
Is it still around? Remember that was all the rage.
Chip
It was, it was a small window, but it's always been Puma or Nike or Adidas. Like I like regular Adidas, tend to be a little bit more comfortable on my feet and I, but I like the, I like Merrells too. I like, I have Merrells. I love those too. Those are.
Jeff
Oh, I'm wearing those right now actually.
Chip
Those are phenomenal. Yeah, I love murals. I gotta, I gotta, you know, they're, they're fantastic shoes. They wear well, they're just a really good, good. But you know, they're a little bit more like high end type stuff. But I really like them. Mike says I need to win tonight so I can pay off the cops when they show hardest cream over 800 watts a channel. This is some funny stuff, man. Look at Jeff Sutton says the reverse experiment would be awesome as well. Throw some $1000 Italian showing Payless and then watch how many people those walk away with their nose in the air. Very good point.
Jeff
It's a great point. That'd be interesting.
Chip
There's only 17 that are in the drawing. Well now it's 19 but you know, but I like that idea as well. So let's go ahead and do the drawing. Let's get out of here, Jeff. Guys, I need to go somewhere. Not sure if the rig daddy will be drawn to my name, but I hope it would respond. All right, let's draw it.
Jeff
Well, hang on. I gotta play the thing first because.
Chip
That'S the world we're gonna draw. Because if you win and you're not here, it's not going to be good.
Jeff
Okay, hang on. We got to play this real quick. Winner, badass Yeti.
Chip
From the blue trajectory.
Jeff
Yeti.
Chip
You got your salmon wallet ready? Why? Cause this is gonna be about time.
Jeff
To claim your legendary blue tribe Yeti.
Chip
Clan mentalist name shoulder.
Jeff
Let's go. Oh, all the shame. Badass yet is born for battle, made for legend.
Chip
Claim your lord be forgotten.
Jeff
Badass yet.
Chip
It's on the Vincent says let's make a yeti trump. That would be fun out the other. Let's start working on that. All right, you guys ready? Let's go ahead. Let's go ahead and put this up, guys. I think I did type in yeti drawing, so I hope. Shoot. I tried.
Jeff
We're gonna win. We're gonna win.
Chip
So there's 21, guys. Here we go. You guys have a good shot at winning this 1 in 21 odds are pretty damn good. Let's go ahead and draw it. Ready? Let's go.
Jeff
We win. We need a sound effect for this.
Chip
Boom. Jcm.
Jeff
Jcm.
Chip
Jcm. JC if you are there, dude, you won. Jcm, if you are there, you need to say, I'm here, and then you got to get your zaman wallet ready. Let's go, let's go, let's go.
Jeff
Wallet ready.
Chip
So you need to say, I'm here getting my wallet, so. All right.
Jeff
Jc Where's JC Rugged.
Chip
Rugged, we need to hear from you, jc.
Jeff
Oh, gotta type it in. Probably jcm. You won. Although he can see it. Well, no, in the chat, maybe not.
Chip
All right, wait here.
Jeff
Nope. Oh, oh. You know what I need to do is I need to open up the.
Chip
One second.
Jeff
Jeff, I gotta you on YouTube just in case. Here we go. All right. No J.C.
Chip
All right, hang on a second. Give it a second here. Visual vendetta says I will hold on to the yeti until you get it back if you want.
Jeff
Yeti in the woods. Got him. I think that's what happened. He got got. All right.
Chip
Okay, so I have to draw again.
Jeff
Then I gotta draw again. Here we go. Gotta re roll. Time to reroll.
Chip
Re roll. Okay, I know what happened. I knows what happened here.
Jeff
All right, I'm to re roll.
Chip
Okay, we have to re. We're gonna have to do it again.
Jeff
All right?
Chip
His name is Shoulder. Shoulder. What is his name again?
Jeff
Jeff Scolder.
Chip
Skolder. Scolder. Scolder. All right, we're gonna have to do it again.
Jeff
All right, Here it is.
Chip
Shoulder. You lose. All right, let's do it again, guys. Here we go. Let's do it again. Ready? Draw again. Here it comes. Didn't see anything in there. Nope. Here we go. Boom. There it is. Okay. I swan Ice Wine. I swine. We need to hear from you.
Jeff
I see him. Mike Moran sees him in the woods.
Chip
Is he yelling? Right, so we need to do. Is. You need. I. You need to type I'm here. Getting my wallet. Or just type I'm here. So we know that you're here because, I mean, who knows if you left Ice Wine.
Jeff
So it's Ice Wine. This is the problem. Ice Wine wins. Oh, well. Blues tide 1.6. Oh, wow, look at that. Mark is. Mark is Ice Wine. No Ice Wine either. Going once, going twice. Got xrp. I'm here. Yep. Xrp.
Chip
Xrp going once, going twice. I'm the Mark Smith. See, I knew Mark was the Iser. He's the Iser. What the hell is. Damn. What the hell is the idea? Busy drinking. Nice one, Eyes. Eyes. Eyes win. Eyes. Eyes win. There you go. Okay.
Jeff
Got xrp. I'm here. Yep. All right. Third time's a charm.
Chip
Oh, he's. It's. I think it's.
Jeff
What happened?
Chip
See it?
Jeff
Nope. Time to roll. Roll it in.
Chip
Roll it.
Jeff
Time to roll.
Chip
Hang on one second. Dude, what are you waiting. One second. Let's go to. Hang on a second. You go to X Twitter real quick. Let's go to. On the chain.
Jeff
But they can communicate with us over here. We would see it.
Chip
Yeah, well.
Jeff
No J.C. so we gotta roll again. Roll it. Just roll. They're not commenting over here.
Chip
Well, I happen to know Eyes Wine, and I happen to be texting him right now.
Jeff
I know, so. But he's not texting with us.
Chip
I know because he said he did it on. On X. He said he typed it on X, and I don't see it on X. So that's the other thing. I don't know where it was typed on X, but I don't see it on the. On the chain. Oh, you know why? Because it's probably on the chain. Okay. All right. We're gonna have to draw again, man. We can't. Can't wait all. All day here, man. This isn't. Oh, we don't. That's right. We don't. We don't stream it there anymore. Okay, let's go. Here we go.
Jeff
Oh, that's right. We don't stream over there.
Chip
We don't stream there anymore. So I'll start to see if it was over there, but nope.
Jeff
But I don't see it here.
Chip
Nope.
Jeff
I don't see notifications or messages.
Chip
Crypto. Well, dude is crypto wealth. He said if I win, I gotta go, so I'm not gonna be a. This is not working out well, I gotta roll.
Jeff
All right. Oh, he won. Oh, Ice Wine is here.
Chip
Oh, we gotta. We gotta. Now we see it. RAO got a dilemma. We gots a dilemma.
Jeff
Nope. Ice Wine one. Crypto well born. Ice Wine is here.
Chip
Okay, so that sucks. Yeah. But crypto wealth, that's not really fair to him either, though, right?
Jeff
Price Wine did get it first.
Chip
You're the one. Let's go, let's go, let's go, let's go, let's go. Send over your Zaman wallet address. All the wallets. We don't get that Zaman wallet address. Yep. Then we're giving it to the.
Jeff
Zamen wallet. Get your Zaman wallet. We know you're here. Now we just need your Zaman wallet.
Chip
It's your Zaman wallet addressed. You go into your Zaman wallet, and then you hit. What does he hit? What do you hit? Receive.
Jeff
Everybody's here.
Chip
You hit receive. The green button. Receive, and then you copy the. Your wallet address. You paste it in there. We might have to go to YouTube to see it, though.
Jeff
I'm on YouTube.
Chip
Are you okay? You got to go in there to see it, but we need to see it quick. Otherwise, crypto. Well, dog, we'll be getting it. Open your Zaman wallet, click on receive, Use your wallet. Pops up, you hit that word copy.
Jeff
Ice Wine said, I'm here. I'm here.
Chip
I know you're here, but you need. If you don't put that wallet in there in the next 1:30 seconds, you're gonna lose the NFT. That's how it works. We can't prolong this. You go into your zombie wallet, you click the green button. The green. What does the green button say? Click. It's receive, and then you click copy. And that's how it works. That's the way it works. See? Yeah.
Jeff
And we also need a. An X address, if possible. Come on now. Let's go. Oh, my God. Oh, that's crypto.
Chip
Well, my yeti's holding my wallet. I knew It I knew put the yetis in charge of it.
Jeff
You got to put them up.
Chip
Open your zombie wallet.
Jeff
The whelp is going.
Chip
We need to hear. We need to hear from you. No.
Jeff
Well, come on, Ice wine. In the meantime, Crypto.
Chip
Yeah, as soon as we say crypto, well, there goes the address. So it's like good thing is Mark Smithson's not here. So there's no way he could have won. See now if Mark won, we would have been really bummed. Like oh, Mark 1. He's not even here. He's not even here. Crypto up has to go. Oh, I need to see that wallet. Otherwise we're gonna have to give it away. It's not a hard thing. You open your wallet, you hit the green button, you hit copy, you hit paste in there and that's it. See you later. Izone doesn't have but address contact.
Jeff
Yeah, just crypto will give us his address.
Chip
Yahweh's are extorting them to their yetis. The freaking Yowies.
Jeff
Yep.
Chip
Okay, so nothing on YouTube, huh?
Jeff
Nothing. Is having a Cinco de Mayo party tomorrow.
Chip
Is it on YouTube? Just check real quick. Is it on YouTube? The wallet address.
Jeff
Come on. No, we should give one to crypto whelp also. Oh, there it is. I see Ice Wine.
Chip
Okay, I got it.
Jeff
They're going fast and furious. All right, here we go. Going to transfer. Going to move this bad boy right now. Hitting transfer up. Something did not work. The person you're sending this to must accept this transfer in their wallet. Says invalid. So something, something is not right in the. In that copy of that address. The wallet does not work. It might not have been set up. It'd have to be up accepted. Set up with the, with the. What is it? You got to sign the signature with the XRP Cafe, I believe in order to accept it through this. Yeah, but saying it's not saying invalid xrp.
Chip
Did you get it? All right, I'll tell you what we're doing. We're going to wrap this up because we're not going to do here we're at the 130 minute mark, we going to wrap it up. And so either we'll work this well.
Jeff
Crypto well, give us one of yours, we'll send you a different one. And then ice wine, if you want, you can send us different address because this one for some reason isn't working. Yeah, I think it has been hacked.
Chip
It's been hacked by yo anyway. All right, that's it guys. We'll we'll work it out. Crypt.
Jeff
Well, see if you can send yours.
Chip
He had to go, so he said hit him on.
Jeff
Oh, he's gone.
Chip
Yeah.
Jeff
Ah.
Chip
So, okay. All right, guys. So we will see you guys on the next one, which will be Wednesday night. So come on back here. Wednesday night, we will do this all over again. But it will be an hour show. Not. This is what I don't like about giving these away. It takes a long damn time.
Jeff
This only took 5, 10 minutes. But we should have been. We need to end at the hour.
Chip
We do. Yeah, we do. Sorry, a little bit long, but here we go, guys. We'll see you guys in the next one. Chip and Jeff. Oh. See you next time. Are you down with otc? Please, like, subscribe and click the bell to be notified when the next video drops.
Podcast Summary: On The Chain - Blockchain and Cryptocurrency News + Opinion
Episode Title: XRP Holders, This One’s For You | Pocahontas Comes for Crypto & Hobbs Kills Bitcoin
Release Date: May 5, 2025
Hosts: Jeff and Chip
The episode kicks off with Jeff addressing XRP holders directly, signaling a focus on recent regulatory challenges and significant political moves affecting the cryptocurrency landscape. The hosts set the tone for an in-depth discussion on how political figures and governmental actions are influencing the future of digital assets, particularly XRP and Bitcoin.
Jeff introduces the primary topic by highlighting Senator Elizabeth Warren's attempts to undermine the Genius Act and block stablecoin legislation. Jeff criticizes Warren, suggesting her actions are less about consumer protection and more about political maneuvering.
Jeff [00:01]: "Elizabeth Warren trying to kill off the genius act and block stablecoin legislation, all while pretending it's all about, guess what, Chip? Protecting consumers. Spoiler alert... It is not."
The conversation shifts to Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs, who recently vetoed a bill aimed at establishing a strategic Bitcoin reserve. Jeff and Chip debate whether Hobbs' decision stems from genuine concern over Bitcoin's volatility or from political sabotage.
Jeff [00:01]: "Now meanwhile in Arizona, Katie Hobbs just vetoed probably one of the more important bills, a bill to create a strategic bitcoin reserve. Calling bitcoin an untested investment."
