That's it. Now, XRP can move value, it can settle in seconds. It can bridge currencies, connect institutions and move money around the world. But once that XRP arrives, what happens next? That's a big question.

Well, I want to know is, can you put it to work, Jeff? Can it access lending liquidity, let's say yield programmable finance and do it without giving up custody. Because if the answer is yes, XRP no longer is limited to just being something you simply send and receive.

Well, I think we're talking more about what flare might be getting ready to unlock, especially for xrp. This is going to be a good one for years. You know, XRP can conversations always center around speed and settlement. But, you know, we've moved beyond that. We've moving into other areas which I'm, you know, glad to see liquidity moving value around the world. But tonight, kind of digging into what that next question looks like. Some other big things from Ripple as well. Ripple Mint. Something brand new from Ripple. What is Ripple Mint? We're going to dive into that. We'll give you some more info on that. That's pretty much it, Jeff. I mean, we're done. Let's. I think we should probably jump into it.

I know. That's why tonight's title really matters. XRP is missing something. What is it missing? But flair may be building the layer that gives XRP access to an entirely different category of utility. We don't know yet, but we're going to find out. And flare is now signaling that something big is coming. So either this is another teaser that gets the XRP community all worked up, kind of like Songbird, or they're getting ready to reveal a major piece of. Of the XRP5 infrastructure that they've been assembling.

I can't believe you went back to Songbird. You love talking about Songbird. It's like six years ago, Jeff. Songbird.

I know. Well, you got to reach back in time sometimes.

Yeah, this. I think this is going to tell us, like, where the really where the next chapter is. I like stuff that I like teasing stuff. I like when something's come in, you know, tick, tick. It's always fun to see these kind of headings because, you know, it's a Lot more fun than get ready for an announcement that we will be making soon. It's like, ah, that's so boring. Believe it or not, a lot of people seem to still do stuff like that. But you want something that's a little more fun like hey, something's right around the corner. Something is coming. What is it? I don't know. We can't tell you. Let's dive into this. Jeff this is Ripple Mint. You're probably thinking what the hell is Ripple Mint?

What is Ripple Mint?

It's a unified platform for institutions to access Mint, redeem and manage none other than R.L. uSD. So it kind of makes sense. It's built at scale for both UI and API access. I'm thinking most people are probably just going to use the API. Ripple Mint gives institutions the flexibility to automate stablecoin operations. This is a big one. So it's all again under one roof. It integrates the RL USD into the existing systems and it manages digital dollar liquidity across chains. And it's available to existing RL USD users today. We'll pop over here for the announcement. And there it is. Meet Ripple Mint. Why? Because they, you know, if you think about it, you need institutions, they need a, a really a way here to, you know, this is it. It's because you have early USD which is by standard custody and trust New York Department of Financial Services NYDFs Chartered Trust Company but historically RLUSD operations were managed through platform based experience. And it's, it's effective but this approach doesn't necessarily support the needs of what institutions are up to. You know, operating like a scale like where automation real time visibility and then you have system integration are critical. So Ripple Mint expands how that RL access RL USD by supporting both the user interface access for operational control and oversight and programmable access for automation and system lives. So if you're going to automate processes, this is the place to do it. And this is kind of what Ripple's been very good at is making features and making it available. So everything, all of their, their big umbrella of companies and their acquisitions kind of fall into one, one type of thing which is nice.

So it's big. I like it, I like the idea behind it. Mint and redeem the RL USD from any source. Big news. Plus it's for program programmatic and operational workflow.

[Chip]

Yeah, I can see setting up like a bunch of things, like things you're going to do all the time. You just set it up once if you're moving, you know let's see, you're moving R.L. uSD and you're moving around, you're making payments, you know, doing whatever you're doing. You can just automate processes. And that was something that was missing at least on the institution side. So this is it. You know, institutions are already using the custody, ripple custody and you know, they're already using RL USD. Now this gives you just another hook into making it easier for institutions like they can integrate it and to internal operations too. That's another thing like whatever the current workflow, think of it as that integration standpoint because when you have the API running, so things you're doing normally as part of yours now it's in your system. Rather than having to try to piece it together through several other things, you're automating it from your own systems. I think that's going to be a key. I think the API is a big part of that automation that that's going to be able to do it. And then you got the tracking built in. So you got tracking across the whole life cycle, the transaction, you can bring that back in, you can bring it back into your, you know, to, to whatever you're using internally for accounting and oversight and all that. So again, think of terms of bringing that back and being able to do that. The programming thing is huge. You know, having an operational workflow, all these things, you, you just expect massive. That you're going to get out of a, you know, an institution. Right. An institution's need. So it makes a lot of sense that they did. This is cool. I think a lot of, I don't think it got a lot of play. I haven't heard too many people talking about it, but it's a, it's. I think it's just big.

I think people overlook actual functional technology within the ecosystem. They're so hyper focused on the price that they typically miss out on the real part of what the development. Yeah, I think you start piecing all these things together and we're talking about real infrastructural development, you know, real building, real growth. This is what it's all about. When we start digging in here, this is what gets to the institution level. This is what brings about real world utility price movement stays super speculative and that's it.

Yeah, and this part here where it expands additional ecosystems that continued strategy by increasing access to our. So you're thinking about like exchanges, your defi protocols, your payment type applications and any sort of emerging on chain or financial infrastructure. And the expansion also creates a strong Utility. This is like the key thing, what we're really probably listening for here. It's a key utility between XRP and RL USD together. So as rlusd becomes available across these environments, XRP will increasingly serve as a complementary assets for liquidity. And that's the big thing. I think the bringing the liquidity to this is huge. You know, thinking about the settlement, the swaps, collateral, all of these type of things, how it ties back to payments and activity across the whole supported change and that's like. People are like well listening for lsd but everyone like what about xrp? Well there you go, that's it right there, Jeff And I think that when you see it all kind of come together, I think it makes a lot of sense to be able to allow their existing customers access to this kind of tool and then start building internal systems that can communicate and can automate.

So that's it. It's just another another integration, another access point. To date notabean has built the largest open network for moving value on chain safely. Combining travel rule compliance, broader pre transaction verification authorization capabilities spans over 2,300 connected institutions, 100 plus global jurisdictions and over 280 customers, including tier one banks. So I bet you there's some overflow there. But you figure they're probably picking up again some new people that are going to be using RO USD. So again, it's just expansion of what Ripple's doing and it makes sense for them to do that, especially since they're going to go ahead and take on

There really is. And then some other news here. XRPL Commons released this one, this banger over here, Jeff. This is ex funding in one part. So there's now xrpl. Yeah. So introducing the XRPL Commons Grants Program.

They got a grant. So you notice that Ripple is no longer running the grants program. It's sort of decentralized. Everything from Zodao to. It's different, you know, different places over there in the.

In Asia. And then you've got this. So the next phase of growth is being built by many, funded by many. Here's our part. It's entering a new phase. Over 550 million has already been invested in the ecosystem since 2017. The model shifting towards a distributed network of independent organizations. This was something that was posted in a February 28 blog post by Ripple. Yeah, it's insane. Since 2023, they ran the aquarium, which was an incubator for, you know, MVP stage. That's a minimal viable product. In other words, you got something working, but maybe you don't have the product totally fleshed out. Everybody building an MVP used to take a lot of work. Not with cloud code. You can get MVP up and running pretty quick.

You can do it real fast. It's crazy.

Remember, let's find developers. Screw developers. Jeff and I just do everything ourselves. Like, the stuff we've made is just insane. It blows my mind because I don't know how to code. I know, I know how to. I know how to do. I know how to write specs and I know, I know what I'm looking for now I can write it, do it myself.

Don't need someone to do. They also launched the GLOW retroactive funding program for open source contributors. Today we're formalizing the the full structure of how we support builders and how it's. Here's how the program is structured. Number one glow, it's funding the Protocols builder. So that's the retroactive funding bounty program for open source contributors. If you build something that's open source tooling and the ecosystem depends on documenting something that save developers time or anything then GLOWS for you. Right? That launched in October 25th. It's funded 11 projects including Node management and tooling. Then you've got this number building on the XRPL incubate ship scale. This track supports early stage projects building on the XRP ledger.

So it kicked off on June 1st but you had to like basically ship an app but you had to grow it and you're being judged on how many what your on chain volume as and how many users the most users you have. So a bonus is available for the first 15 apps to reach 300 users and you got the aquarium that's a nine week incubation program that was launched back in 2023. That's what was initially run out of Paris. But it's not transitioning online for wider accessibility which makes sense. You don't need to show up in Paris and have that cost, just do it online. Then you got the early stage grants which prevents provides individual small grants for projects building on the XRP ledger. Rails grants or milestones based and then they cover both technical integration and growth targets. And what are they looking for? Well, a working product or on a test net or main net. A clear path to generating volume on XRPL and a team that knows what they're building. We don't fund ideas. We open applications in September and that's smart. And after Trump's first term, he emerged $700 million less rich. Nobody cared like, yeah, Trump lost money. Yay. When Trump announced he was running for office, phony indictments suddenly appeared. Democrats try to stop him from running. Nothing much outrage there. What about the three assassination attempts? Large parts of the left cheered or made excuses. Some even called them justified. Democrats demanded an ethics provision in the Clarity Act. President Trump agreed to it, making him the only US President to ever voluntarily accept the restriction. Yet wasn't enough. At some point, Jeff, I think it's fair to ask whether the issue was ever ethics at all, or whether they're just looking for another excuse to pose the bill. I think we all know that answer.

And yet the Democrats want to belittle it. They want to bring us down to the same level as a third world nation, which is exactly why they're importing the third world nation into our country and into all the European Western countries. They want to bring down the level, the standard instead of trying to raise up the standards everywhere else because they realize with low IQ and non productivity that you can't raise them up. So they're going to dump them into countries around the world to lower the standards. And this is where we're at. And it's the same thing the Democrats mindset, it's, it's their modus operande. You know, they're going to continuous try to block any type of economic progress or growth that this country can ever have. And, and the Clarity act. Now if the Clarity act passes, you know, it's going to be a miracle. I, I believe if it passes over the, the next couple weeks, I think it's going to be pushed back because we have an election cycle. We have the summer. I, you know, you have weeks, you have two weeks, a two week window. If it doesn't pass in two weeks, it's 27. It's going to be pushed after the election. I believe it's going to be pushed after the, after the election. Many Democrats are, are, I don't think they're going to want it. And, and that's where it goes, you know, that's just how they are. Then you've got economy two, the institutional issuance, roughly 3 billion in tokenized real world assets on XRPL as of late April. Second fastest 30 day growth of any chain. And then you have Economy 3, the native app ecosystem. The only one an independent builder can actually Enter the only one that's really there being dramatized over here on x 288 monthly active developers, 84 full time equivalents, 33 million in total d. 5 million to 8 million in daily DEX volume. And so it goes on and on about this but Hugo chimed in and said if what you're factoring in supply chain stats, you might want to factor in F xrp. Good point here. Defy usage which is extremely positive and sizable development relative to what you've quoted for the entire ecosystem and that's because their operates there. That makes a lot more sense. But I like that Hugo's like, hey, if we're going to take the whole ecosystem we gotta really consider fxrp and defy the D5 usage over there because it is huge, it's positive, it's got major adoption. That's going to be three times the amount. That's exactly what happened in Detroit. I know it because my friends, brothers own, own one of the mini supermarket or party stores over there. So I know exactly how they, they make their money. They do really well. They're a fixture in the community. It's sad that there are no grocery stores. Grocery stores now are starting to open. Things are changing, the streets are getting cleaned up. So it, it went through a period of time to where things had to be redeveloped and it had to, you need safety. We're witnessing the reverse. We're seeing, you know, Detroit coming back, Chicago going down, New York City going down. If they try to implement anything with socialism, they want government funded grocery stores, it's going to be even worse. You're going to talk about vacant shelves. It's going to be a disaster. But I feel really bad for Chicago. I feel bad for New York almost. They voted for it. Their problem, they decided not to enforce it. They want the Democrat nuts in charge.
