We live in an era where managed messages dominate our lives. On news broadcasts, social media, search engines, they deliver an echo chamber of what we already believe, feeding into our biases and reinforcing a distorted view of reality. Why? Because. Because we're lazy. Because we want to be told what to think. But here's the truth. Low curiosity equals low potential. And if you're not seeking the truth, you're letting others program your worldview. And that's a recipe for mediocrity. Are you a sheep? Are you a wolf? We must fight against our nature to stay comfortable and instead relentlessly challenge assumptions. Look at the numbers. Numbers don't lie. People do. Seek everybody evidence, validate it, and let the truth guide your decisions, even when it's uncomfortable. Podcasting has revolutionized this. It has stripped away the managed message, giving us the power to hear unfiltered perspectives over a long form interview. But the responsibility is on us to go deeper. The truth isn't handed to us, it's earned. And we've got to figure it out for ourself and determine what's true. Lesson number two, focus on the prompt. Albert Einstein said very famously, if I had an hour to solve a problem. I'd spend 55 minutes thinking about the problem and defining it, and 5 minutes solving it. That's the essence of focusing on the prompt. Too often we rush to solutions without defining the problem. It's lazy thinking and it leads to lazy results. But when you take time to ask deeper questions, a better prompt action. Ask again. Ask again. Six, seven, ten layers deep, you unlock clarity and the real answers. Think of ChatGPT or any tool. The quality of the output depends on the quality of the input. The same is true in life and in business. Thoughtful, precise questions lead to insightful, actionable answers. Lazy surface level questions. They will lead you to failure. And the future belongs to the curious. Not the quick fixers or the checkbox checkers, but the relentless questioners. So focus on the prompt and challenge your assumptions every step of the way. Number three. We live in the age of agility. We are living in the age of acceleration. Time kills deals, Time kills ideas and opportunities. To survive and thrive, you must embrace agility. And you need to be quick, but not in a hurry. Agility isn't just about quick feet or hands. It's about a quick mind. And it's about iterating rapidly and adapting to change and challenging your own processes and results. It's about not falling in love with your work product too soon and instead using every step as an opportunity to improve it. In today's world, being agile means being unafraid to scrap what doesn't work immediately and rebuild it better. Now it's about speed, precision and resilience. And those who iterate faster than the competition don't just keep up, they leap ahead. Lesson four. Collaborate. Work together. Collaboration is the secret weapon of the modern age. The world operates in abundance, but the best ideas and opportunities rarely exist in isolation. The key is to remove latency, the gap between an idea and an action. And if you don't have the skills in house or possess the resources or the knowledge to execute, find somebody who does. Trade value for value and you'll go further, faster. True leaders create win win frameworks for collaboration. And it's important for you to know what you bring to the table and ensure that every partnership brings you closer to your goals. Together we can achieve more than we ever could possibly achieve alone. And lesson number five, it's about the dragon slayers. It's about the 1 percenters. Comfort is a trap. Modern life has made us obsessed with being comfortable. Every product, every service, every invention is about making us comfortable. Chairs, perfect temperatures, endless distractions. But here's the harsh truth. Great things are rarely accomplished from comfortable positions. Your future and our future belongs to the dragon slayers. The people who trade comfort for progress, who confront challenges head on, who refuse to be held back by distractions or excuses. We live in a time where technology gives us unprecedented tools to accelerate and create. The people who embrace this, who integrate these tools into their lives, into their brains, into their thinking, will outpace the rest. They will slay dragons while others are still searching for their swords. As I sat back and reflected on 24, these five lessons stand out as guideposts, not just for success, but for living a life of meaning and purpose. Seek truth relentlessly. Focus on the prompt. Embrace this age of agility. Collaborate intentionally with great people, and above all, be a dragon slayer. Thank you for joining me on this journey. I'm Jeff Duden and I look forward to continuing these conversations as we push forward together. I will develop all of these concepts for you as we go through 25, but until next time, stay focused, stay agile, and never stop seeking greatness. Thanks for listening.
