THE HOME STREAM featuring ALDRIN / SINGAPORE ISLAND CULTURE CLUB SATURDAY 12 MARCH 2022 7-8PM (UTC+8) The Home Stream is a special live stream on 11 & 12 March 2022 featuring 21 Singapore-based DJs against the backdrop of 6 cool venues across the island. An initiative by #savemusicsg, and inspired by Singapore's once vibrant music scene, it hopes to remind everyone of the importance of music in our lives, and strives towards striking up that all important & long overdue conversation with the government to allow live music again, and to reopen the live music/ nightlife/entertainment industries. These industries have gone silent since the nation first went into lockdown in March 2020. Beyond the economic impact, this has left a void in these industries driven largely by passion, within a nation that believes that passion makes anything possible. Loads still needs to be done to get the livelihoods of those affected back on track so we do hope you will continue to support future #savemusicsg initiatives. Tracklist: 01. After an 8-year hiatus, Singapore based digital imprint ONE with Music bounces right back into the thick of things with a long-overdue compilation featuring an all-star collective of producers from the Lion City. As featured in a livestream earlier in the year, this compilation aims to translate the thoughts & feelings of the music producers in this current climate of the pandemic, where the local nightlife & entertainment industry has been gravely overlooked for more than 20 months, while encouraging the artists to keep their chin up in hopes of a better tomorrow. Kicking off the compilation, label head Aldrin starts off proceedings with When? - a deep, melancholic cut, reflecting the dire state that local clubs are currently facing, with absolutely no sign of any light at the end of the tunnel. Seasoned veterans are up next as Kaye (Dark Than Wax) changes up the mood with Wandering Soul - a broken beat drum groove flavoured with Indie & Disco influences; while Ferng's Far From Over takes things a couple of notches down into deep Techno territory, perfect for those late night, heads down, hypnotic rides. Moving onto the newer generation of beat-makers, we have Intriguant, hot off the success of his collab with local hero Charlie Lim, with his contribution Commes - a bass-driven deep 4/4 ride; while Hala Sol from the Darker Than Wax camp, lightens the mood with his trademark funky groove and jazzy keys on How?. New collab Benedict & Palmer brings on the heat with The 7th Month - a Progressive House journey filled with moody textures and big breaks; while local stalwart Case Woo churns out a driving Techno I Am Freakin On Fire, cut chock-full of epic melodies. The Beat Usagi turns it up a few notches with a pulsating groove, glitchy samples and distorted textures on Your Gravity. Label boss Aldrin closes the compilation with Sizing Things Up and Arp Arp and Away - 2 cuts of (you guessed it!} arpeggio heavy melodies & grooves, blurring the lines between Indie Dance, Progressive House and Techno.
