All right, people, welcome to out of pocket with RG3, hosted by your boy and the lovely 125 time all American Greta
Greta Griffin (0:10)
today.

Oh, my goodness. We got NASCAR royalty in the building, people. He's been named one of NASCAR's 75 greatest drivers. He's the third youngest Cup Series champion ever after he won it in 2020. And the driver who has dominated the fan vote as the most popular driver year after year. He's the son of hall of Famer Bill Elliott, but he didn't ride Legacy. He built his own Lane. Nearly 200 miles per hour. When the pressure hits the red line, he delivers. When the moment gets loud, he gets faster. He's one of the most respected competitors in motorsports today. The one, the only, Chase Elliott is in the building.

Let's go. Man. That was a killer intro. You did good. I appreciate that. It was. You hyped me up, so thank you.
Robert Griffin III (RG3) (0:52)
Nah, listen, we, we love to show love where it is warranted, and you have earned that, especially coming off your victory at Martinsville, your first victory of the season. Thank you. Appreciate you, appreciate you. You know, Massachusetts, all that stuff, but
Chase Elliott (1:06)
it's also close enough.
Robert Griffin III (RG3) (1:07)
It's also the first win for, for Chevrolet and Hendrick Motorsports for you, and it positions you really as a serious championship contender again. And that leads us to what's that opening drive. Let's get it rolling.
Greta Griffin (1:19)
As Robert mentioned, you got your first win of the season in Martinsville. How dangerous is your team right now compared to the rest of the field?
Chase Elliott (1:26)
Yeah, I, I like where we are. I feel like, yeah, our season's been kind of up and down. Like we've had some weeks where I'm like, man, we. We're really where I. Right where I want to be. And we've had some weeks, not so much, but Martinsville was certainly a really good one. And our season is so long. Like, you have to kind of like you have to sit back and, and pump the brakes a little bit because it is a. It is great to have a win. We've never had a win this early in the season. Like, all those things are awesome, and I do think our team is in a good place. But peaking at the right time is really important. And I think for us, it's just, it's a great foundation for us right now to just build and try and keep putting, you know, keep stacking some wins and do it early so it, you know, it's not like one of those things where you can just say, oh, yeah, you know, we have a Win like, we got it figured out because the year is just way too long. So it's, it's great. I think we're in a good spot, but a lot of, lot of racing left and, and a lot of room to, to improve yet, too.
