Jeff Bridges, why are you still living above our garage?
Jeff Bridges
Well, I dig the mattress and I want to be in a T mobile commercial like you teach me. So Dana.
Dana
Oh no, I'm not really prepared. I couldn't possibly at T Mobile get the new iPhone 17 Pro on them. It's designed to be the most powerful iPhone yet and has the ultimate pro camera system.

Nikki
Hi, my name is Nikki and I'm the daughter of a murdered woman. Welcome back to Poppy Killed Mommy. Today is a very special bonus episode, something totally different. And I'm not alone in the studio today. I want to introduce someone you'll be hearing more from moving forward. She's my friend and co host for what comes next, and someone who's been right beside me on this journey. Meet Melissa.
Melissa
Hi, everyone. I'm Melissa and I work with Nikki as a fellow teacher at QI Montessori. And I'm honored to be stepping into the studio with her. What happened to Stacy is heartbreaking. But what happened since? 30 years of silence, 30 years of excuses. That's unacceptable. And that's why we're here today, to say enough is enough.
Nikki
Exactly. This is about more than one woman's murder. It's about accountability. It's about holding officials and institutions responsible. And to do that, we need public pressure. We need this story everywhere.
Melissa
So here's what we're asking you to do. If you know someone in media, a journalist, a blogger, a podcaster, a YouTube creator, reach out, send them this story. Tell them about Poppy Killed Mommy. If your sister runs a podcast, if your mom's an elected official in Arizona, if your child is studying journalism, tell them this case matters. Share this Show Online Post it Tag outlets tag reporters tag creators make this story impossible to ignore and I want.
Nikki
To pause here and stress this again. The most powerful thing you can do is help us get this story to media. If you know anybody in the press, even if it's a small town paper, a school newspaper, or a college journalism program, please reach out. If you're an editor, if you write for anything at all, or if you have a contact who does, we need you. Every article, every mention, every fresh pair of eyes on my mom's case matters. Public pressure through the media is what will finally force accountability. If you don't have media contacts but still want to help, start with the petition. It only takes a minute to sign and shows the people in power that this isn't just my fight. It's a community demanding answers.
Melissa
That petition is so important. Every signature is one more voice they can't ignore. So please sign it and share it with your friends, your family and your co workers. Let's get as many names on it as possible. The link is in the show notes.
Nikki
And don't stop there. Call, email and write. Reach out to the Yavapai County Attorney's Office. Contact the Sedona Police Department. Contact the Red Rock News. Ask them why this case has been buried for three decades.
Melissa
We're not asking you to do everything. We're asking you to do something. Because if every person listening right now made just one phone call, sent one email, signed the petition, or shared one post, that would be thousands of voices demanding justice.
Nikki
And if you know anything about my mom's case or if you have any information that could help and you don't want to reach out to law enforcement directly, that's okay. We've set up a direct tip line, poppykilledmommymail.com p a p I killed mommymail.com please don't stay silent. Reach out. I'll keep your tip anonymous if that's what you like.
Melissa
As we move forward, Nikki and I are also working on season two. We will be covering other cases of domestic violence that deserve to be heard. If you know of a story that needs a spotlight, send it to us. Reach out@poppykilledmommymail.com and let us know we are stronger together.
Nikki
And the only way change happens is if we're louder than the silence.
Melissa
This is the moment to stand with Nikki, with her mom, with every victim who has ever been ignored.
Nikki
So let's make some noise. Let's rattle the cages. Let's make sure my mom's story is heard everywhere.
Melissa
Call, write, post, share, sign, send in tips. Submit cases. It matters. You matter in this fight.
Nikki
Thank you for standing with me. Thank you for fighting with me, and thank you for helping me bring my mom's story to light.
Melissa
And this won't be the last time you hear from me. I'll be joining Nikki in future episodes to help her carry this story forward and to shine a light on other families who have been silenced.
Nikki
This is just the beginning of what we're building together. So stay tuned because you'll be hearing more of Melissa's voice, more of her perspective, and together, we'll keep pushing for justice.
Melissa
But right now, we need you call, write, host, share, sign, submit. Let's make noise.
Nikki
Let's do this together. And thank you for listening.
