on today's Part of My Take presented by DraftKings. It's NFL free agency and we have our good friend Nate Tice on the show to break it all down. Winners, losers, best fits, teams that he thinks are going to be active in the next few days. We're going to talk about everything. We also have hot seat, Cool throne. We we've got some college basketball conference championship week, World Baseball Classic guys on chicks and it's all brought to you by our friends at Everyman Jack. You're a grown man making better decisions about what you put in your body. Are you paying attention to what goes on it? Here's the thing. Using grooming products with harsh chemicals is like washing your car with dish soap. Sure, it gets the job done, but you're stripping away the protection and doing long term damage more. Most guys think they have to choose products that work or products that are better for you. Every Man Jack says that's bs. Their clean naturally derived formulas have none of the garbage the other guys use. No parabens, no dyes, no shortcuts. And they're incredibly effective. Their coconut based body wash cleans while hydrating. Their new 48 hour antiperspirant has unbelievable glide and staying power. And Everyman Jack, clean, effective, made for men. What more could you want? Start your new routine and find every Man Jack at Walmart, Target, Amazon, Kroger, wherever men's personal care products are sold. Okay, let's go. Welcome to Part of My take presented by DraftKings. The crown is yours. Today is Wednesday, March 11th and the Baltimore Ravens have ruined free agency. So we are actually recorded the full show. You're going to get two intros. The other intro was Geno Smith leading off. But late in on Tuesday night the Raiders put out that Max Crosby the deal has been rescinded because he potentially failed the physical in Baltimore. He was in Baltimore. I'm calling bullshit on all this. Pft. This is Crazy. You can't do this. All the dominoes went for Max Crosby, and now they got to redo everything, even though nothing's going to happen.
B
Yeah, well, nothing's going to happen, but Tyler Linderbaum has the opportunity to do the funniest thing of all time, which would be like, oh, the Ravens, you got all this room. I'll go back. Yeah, it's weird. And it's not the first time that the Ravens have done this. One thing I learned through this ordeal is they really trust the doctors in Baltimore. Yes. So this would be like the third, maybe even fourth time that it's happened. It happened to ryan Grant in 2018, and then two years later, Michael Brockers. Same thing happened there. And then there was one back in, like, the late 90s, I think, or maybe early 2000s where similar thing happened. But, yeah, the deal's not done until the doctors sign off. But, like, imagine being the team doctor after the biggest deal in a long time that the Ravens have done in a very long time. As ever, you know, they shook hands on it. Max comes to Baltimore. They. You go under the exam, and then you're like, yeah, he's got a bad meniscus. And then they tell the front office that, like, that's got to be like, standing on the table and being like, this physical is so bad. We shouldn't go through this trade. Either one, they really trust the doctor to believe them on that. Or two, it's bullshit and it's made up and they're secretly planning a different move and they're using the physical as an excuse to get out of it.
A
Trey Hendrickson. Yeah. The. The thing that I don't understand, I'm not a doctor. Don't pretend to be one. And maybe there's different physicals for different guys, but Max Crosby had surgery, like a month, two months ago.
C
He.
A
Of course he's not going to. Of course his knees. Not going to pass a physical. Right?
B
Yeah. I mean, he had a different surgery than he initially thought, but it's like everybody knew that he had the meniscus
A
repair surgery in January and secret. It's three to four month recovery. So it's like, no, duh. Maybe the. Did the Ravens just not realize he had the surgery and then he came
B
in not healing the way that they thought it would heal. Like, maybe Max Crosby is just that much of a maniac where he got surgery and then like a month later, he's out there doing wind sprints and it's not healing. I don't know. But, yeah, it does seem like it would be convenient. I feel like anytime you trade for a guy like this, you could always say at the last minute, yeah, we're not going to do it because of the physical.
A
Right. And it's. It does. It is a ripple effect where other teams that were maybe in on Max Crosby, Cowboys, Eagles, Bears, I. There's other teams that were. I mean, I think I even heard, like, the Bengals called about them. You don't know how much, like, teams were actually in, if they just kicked the tires. But every other team that was potentially in on Max Crosby, having Max Crosby go to the Ravens, then having free agency start going plan B all across the board, then Max Crosby potentially could be traded again, which is crazy. Or the Raiders could just keep them. Maybe the Raiders are like, hey, Max, I know you don't want to be here, but we signed like $300 million worth of dudes. We should be better, theoretically. You want to just stick around? Yeah. They have. Still have cap space. They still have cap space.
B
I believe so, yeah. I mean, it's interesting because you said. You said the Bengals, and if. If any owner would be interested in a scratch and dent open box, Max Crosby, that would probably be the Bengals. Yeah, I got a great deal.
A
Yeah.
B
Yeah, let's do it.
A
It's. It's just nuts because it was. And if you're a Ravens fan, that poor Ravens fan, I'm sure you guys saw it. Who? Shout out that guy. I'm gonna find him. I think I retweeted him.
B
Like, Kyle Hamilton, dpo.
A
Yeah, yeah, Hamilton underscore dpo. Y Nate, the Ravens fan. He. He. He tweeted, if the Ravens happen to trade for Max Crosby, I will completely shave my head. He did shave his head three hours ago. He posted it, and he does not look good bald. And then, like, he needs. He needs to sue. He needs. He needs to do something about this. I think everyone should get in line. I. I don't know. I can't. I'm not plugged in enough to know exactly the inner workings, but it does feel like something's fishy here. And maybe it's just the Ravens using the loophole of, hey, we can see, we can trade for Max Crosby, see how the rest of free agency plays out, knowing that this stupid legal tampering and then official free agency, there's a two day gap and then just figure it out later. And that's what they're doing now. They can figure it out later.
B
Yeah, I don't know. I guess we'll find out more after all the reports come out. And when people leak select things to certain reporters, we'll get a bigger, a better picture of what it is. But the statement that the Raiders put out said a lot, which is just like they backed out of the trade. We have no further comment. Yeah, so I don't think that the Raiders put that statement out. If they find something genuinely concerning on like the mri, it's like, oh, his knees really, really bad. Now it's not going to work out. That to me sounds like a, a pissed off Mark Davis.
A
Yeah. Hank, what if his knees actually fucked up and there's nothing nefarious? Maybe Tom Brady was doing the right thing.
D
How so?
A
Not trading to the Patriots, maybe.
C
I mean, I hope his knee for
D
his sake is fine. I feel like it is.
A
Well, now I'm just like, I don't. I said on Monday show, like, I think it's stupid. When you're in on a guy, if you're a fan of a team, you're in on a guy and then you don't get him and then you immediately cope by saying, oh, we didn't want him anyway. I, I was like, yeah, I did want Max Crosby. I wanted Max Crosby on the Bears. Now, now I, I think I, I do. I don't know. Is he going to go for a first and second? I don't know.
B
It's gotta be somebody that's got a lot of job security as a gm, who's gonna say like, this is worth the chance because if they get it wrong, everyone's gonna be like, yeah, no shit. The Ravens sent him back because they didn't trust it and you thought you were smarter. But if he, if you get it right, then you're a genius. So I think there will be teams that are interested. I don't know if the price is gonna be the same, though.
A
Should be a new rule for the digital era in NFL. If you post a 13 minute goodbye video on social media like Max Crosby did, that should just be trade final. You can't come back on that because this is the most. Like, I actually am rooting for Max Crosby on the Raiders now because that will be so awkward and funny if he has to show up and be like, yeah, all that, all that shit, like, let's just pretend it never happened.
C
I'm.
A
I'm a Raider for life, so I'm
D
coming home video tomorrow.
B
Yeah. Does he get a tribute video when he goes back to the team facility?
A
Does he get a tribute video if they play the Ravens this year from the Ravens. Yeah, right. I'm saying with the guy just shaved head.
B
I listen, if you do a 13 minute long goodbye to your team, that's fine, but you should also have to do a 13 minute goodbye video to Baltimore on your way back.
A
Yeah, absolutely.
B
And also you. He should. He's got long hair. Locks of love, man. You should cut that hair off. Send it to fan that shaved their head.
A
Yeah, yeah. Max Crosby said, I'm so excited. I cannot wait to get out to the city and meet everybody talking about Baltimore. Well, you did for one day. That was it.
B
What do you think the value on. On Max is now? Like, you think that they're going to get the same that I don't. The Ravens offered, like, is it like a used car? The second you drive it off, the lot goes down in value.
A
I don't know how you could. I don't know how you possibly could get the same value. Like, it just won't. There's just no way someone's going to offer the same thing. If the Ravens, you know, physical was. Was a no, I mean, I. They could. All right, so they could get two first rounders still, but it would be maybe a worse first rounder. You know what I mean? That was a lot of the conversation was the Ravens had the draft capital where it's like, their. Their pick is decent this year and not picking at the bottom. So it's so weird. This is. I mean, again, it's so weird because of the dominoes that go after that and everyone who makes their moves after and everyone who fills out their roster after. And now even. I mean, I guess the one thing you could say the Ravens didn't do this in, like, a nefarious way is they also missed out on some free agents because they thought they were going to have Max Crosby. That would be my argument for any conspiracy theorists. That the Ravens did this intentionally is like, they probably could have signed some guys that they weren't able to then sign because they had Max Crosby on the books.
B
But if the Ravens did this intentionally, that would also just piss off their fan base. Their fan base got excited about Max Crosby joining him. Like, ask Stavi how he's doing. I'm sure it's not good.
A
You want to call him real quick?
B
Yeah, yeah, give him a call. Might want to check in.
C
Just real quick.
A
This is like, no way he's going to pick up because I texted him and he was like. He was so pumped.
B
Yeah, but if it's like, that sucks. If the Raiders were trying to like sweep one under the rug. I don't even understand how that would work because they were the ones that were pushing Max to get the surgery last year. Max was like, let me keep playing,
A
you know, I don't think the Raiders would have. I don't. It makes no sense for the Raiders to sweep anything under the rug. I think I had surgery.
B
I don't know.
A
He had. It was open. He had surgery. The whole thing is bizarre.
B
I think it's like one of two things. One or two things.
A
Hold on. I'm calling Stavi. Hold that thought. He's not gonna pick up. There's no way. Because this is like, there's only one reason I'd be calling and it's like the troll call. He's probably. He's probably like in a sold out arena right now.
B
What's going on, Hank? Victor woman.
D
Yama dirty.
B
Yeah.
A
No pickup. Okay. Yeah. He said he's. He. When I said congrats on Max Crosby, you. He said he's the man of perfect Raven. Nope. I guess he was Not a Raven. Not a Raven.
B
That we don't get the. The Steelers Ravens TJ Maxx matchup.
A
Yeah. Yeah. Okay. What were your two thoughts?
B
So it's. It's one of two things really. It's got to be.
A
Oh, wait, he said. Oh, he just texted me back in a car right now, unfortunately. But this sucks dick and is weird. That's my official statement.
B
Sucks dick and is weird.
A
Your official statement has been logged. This sucks dick and is weird. Okay, what were your. What were your two thoughts?
B
Basically, either they found something fucked up that they didn't think was there and it's within their rights to. To nullify the trade. And that's why, like this, this two day period is so weird because something like this can happen and then nothing that has been reported over the last day actually has to happen. Nothing's final yet.
A
Right.
B
So either one, they found something weird on the. On the physical and they're like, yeah, we can't do this. We can't justify it. Or two, they have been talking to somebody secretly this whole time and it's been a ploy. In which case, like, I feel like that would really up the Ravens ability to do deals like this in the future.
A
Yeah, he probably just failed the physical. We're probably being too. Something's up. He probably just. He probably isn't healing the way that they thought he was. And they're like, yeah, we're not going to do this.
B
I pointed out that this is, like, remarkably early. Like, the Ravens usually wait till week three till their whole roster is injured.
A
Yeah.
B
Max has so much hustle that he's injured before he even plays it down.
A
Yeah, the. It is now that I'm thinking about it, too, with this whole, like, the. The legal tampering. No deals can be signed till Wednesday. Incredible window for anyone who has buyer's remorse. You just do this every time. Just like, yeah, I'll give you this deal. And then it's like, I slept on it. Oh, wait, furthermore. From Stavi. Furthermore, if we don't acquire pass rusher, I'm going to kill myself. Okay, okay, okay. So they got to get a Pat Ravens. You've heard his demands. Get a pass rusher. Okay, two. Two last things real quick. We talked. So we're about to do the other intro of the show, talking about Geno Smith. We then talk some free agency. We got Nate. Nate Tice. We did mention that the Eagles hadn't signed anyone after we finished recording. The Eagles did sign anyone or did sign someone. Should we just pretend that they hadn't signed anyone still? Should we keep going or do you want to talk? Give us your grade on Reek Wolin.
B
Howie.
A
Howie. Okay. That's the great. The official grade is Howie.
E
Yeah.
F
I love it.
B
Howie.
A
Also, the last thing was Zach. That girl released official statement from Monday's show who said that she couldn't believe that debate happened. I think she wants to go on a date because she said, I don't know how guys listen to two and a half hours of this bullshit. Listen, Talia, we agree, like, we. We agree that this is just junk that we're putting out there, but she was like, I respect the fact that that many people listen. So sounds like you kind of got to ask her out on a date.
G
I think. I think she recognized we got.
B
We're.
G
We're putting a good product on the airwaves. Big cat.
A
No, that. She said the exact opposite.
G
I thought she was backpedaling off saying that.
A
No, no, no. She said it's. It's. It's insane that people listen to this show for as long as they listen to this show. But the fact that there's that many. She has to at least tip her cap to that. It was nice, but, oh, I misread it. I thought it was like, she thought
G
it was so bad that it's so good.
A
Maybe that is true.
B
Well, I think she needs to just maybe give it another shot because today we've got guys on chicks, which is A segment that she might find more enjoyable than the others we do. So yeah, if you can't hit entry point for Italian.
A
If you can't handle us at our ishow speed versus Trump, you don't deserve us with with two 41 year olds and a 33 year old furiously debating the merits of laser tag. Okay, let's do the other intro. This is gonna be fun. So here's our other intro.

A
And then we're off and running. Welcome to part of my take presented by DraftKings. The crown is yours. Today is Wednesday, March 11, and NFL free agency is here, boys. And Geno Smith is a New York Jet.
B
Congratulations to Geno. He's coming home. It feels like a storybook ending for Geno Smith and the jets.
D
Right?
A
It's beautiful.
B
It's coming home. Geno is the bridge quarterback. Memes. Congratulations. You got your guy.
A
You got him. Memes.
E
Yep. Big, big two days of free agencies. Glad we're starting with this.
B
My question.
A
Well, yeah, what else?
E
There's so much going on.
B
Is Geno Big Apple? Is Geno Smith the next Sam Darnold?
F
He could.
E
He could be.
A
He could be. He could be. I mean, of course. We got to start with this Geno. Back to the big Apple. It's. You kidding me? It's huge.
B
The jets are the straw that stirs the drink in the NFL.
A
It's huge. Are you excited? Memes.
E
I'm okay with it.
A
Okay.
B
It.
E
It's a vet men deal. Better than any other choice out there right now.
A
Yeah.
E
Year two of the rebuild. That's just all I keep saying to myself.
A
Year two of the rebound.
B
This is going to be a process. It's Going to be.
A
What is Max showing them?
E
Jets sign Nayshaan Wright.
B
Oh, okay.
A
Okay.
C
Congrats.
A
You want me to give you a little quick Nayshaan, right?
E
Oh, no. Me and Zach dapped him up.
D
Yeah.
E
At the Bears game.
A
Nayshaan Wright ball. Hawk will make big plays, can get burnt a lot.
F
Interception.
A
Interception.
B
Yes.
A
That's actually huge. I like Nayshaan Wright. I think he was. He had a. He had a very good year for the Bears. He. He's. He's a good player. You guys. Ish.
B
You have Nayshaan, right? You got Minka, right?
E
Got Minka.
B
So you guys have players that are capable of intercepting the football.
A
Yep.
E
Got Demario Davis. That was big.
B
And here's a text from. From Geno Smith. This is from his own fingertips. Complete full circle moment, back to where it all began. I'm excited to connect with my new teammates and coaches and everyone in the building and as well as build a new relationship with the fan base and community.
D
What do you mean by connect?
B
Connect? Not. Not jaw to fist his fists up, you troll.
A
Yeah, that's.
B
That's fucked up. Hank.
A
Come on, Hank. He said connect.
B
He was excited to connect with his new teammates.
A
We should talk about Demario Davis more. Being 37 years old and still being the NFL, it's pretty fucking impressive.
B
Yeah.
A
I mean, that's insane.
B
It is. So, memes, are you looking forward to building a new relationship with Gina?
E
Yeah, I'm fired up at the time.
A
All right.
B
At the time. That's great.
A
Now time is right now. You're fired up.
B
Fired up. Currently.
D
At the time.
A
At the time.
E
At the time Right now. I, I, I.
D
It sounds like that's what you're gonna say in September when you're like, I was fired up at the time.
A
At the time I was fired up.
B
Memes, you have been lashing out. I've noticed a couple tweets that you've put out there. Number one, Gino did the prayer emoji thing because the jets tweeted out a video of this is where it all began, 2013. And then, memes, you replied, I will upper deck any Wendy's for you?
E
Yep.
B
Care to elaborate on that?
E
It's when you take a. In the top of the.
B
I know what an upper deck is. Yeah.
E
Then when you flush it, it's supposed to explode.
B
But why are you upper decking Wendy's?
E
Wendy? Wendy's was trashing them.
A
Wendy's was trashing Gino.
E
Gino.
G
Yeah.
E
Offered him a job.
A
Yeah.
B
Oh, I missed that.
A
1. So he was deciding between the jets and Wendy's.
C
Yeah.
E
And Wendy's is broke right now.
B
Okay.
A
So good decision, Gino.
B
And what about the, what about the Carson Wentz?
E
Yeah, I saw a report that Carson Went is going to be the backup. So Geno Smith's starter, Carson Wentz back up.
A
Those are Pro Bowlers.
E
I, I mean, Geno Smith can still play 2017.
D
That's a, that's a lethal, lethal roster.
B
Yeah. I mean,
E
I don't know what we're talking about.
A
Out.
B
That's a good point by memes. It's true.
E
Basically beat the Bears kickers.
A
Yeah, basically beat the Bears.
B
Pretty much beat the Bears. You did tell.
A
I actually think Gino's, like, still going to be fine. I, I, I, I think that was a situation last year. We've agreed to forget that he was on the Raiders, that Pete Carroll was the coach. So as far as I'm concerned, memes, you're taking Geno from the Seahawks, directly from the Seahawks to the jets. And that's a good, that's a good deal.
H
Yeah.
E
I picked a real bad day to wear all this Seattle stuff.
A
Yeah. But you, this is a, this is a good deal.
E
I think it's a good deal. I just, I don't know.
B
And the way that it's breaking down, it feels like. So the Raiders are paying almost the entire salary, right?
E
Yeah. And the reason why they traded for him is because the Vikings had interest in him. And like, if he went to the Vikings, everything, everybody would just be saying, Kevin o' Connell is going to fix them. But now that he's on the jets, people are just going to say, I can't imagine being a Jets fan.
B
That's where you think that, that's where the anger comes. Like, hypothetically, if something different had happened, then we would be reacting differently to it.
F
But what's a situation that wouldn't have gotten this reaction?
D
Aaron Rodgers.
E
Yeah, Aaron Rodgers.
C
No way.
E
People say hall of Famer could fix that problem. I'm not just like, Geno Smith was already there.
B
I'm not entirely sure what you mean, though. You're saying that it's not fair that the media would have said, Kevin o' Connell will do a good job with Geno Smith. But yeah, because he signs with the jets, people are like, oh, Geno Smith won't be a good quarterback for the Jets.
A
That seems like, yeah, really fair.
B
But like, Geno Smith has played for the jets in the past and Kevin
E
o', Connell, what happened and what happened?
B
And he Wasn't very good for the Jets.
E
No.
A
No.
E
What happened?
A
He got punched.
C
He got punched.
E
He got punched. And then Ryan Fitzpatrick had a career year.
A
Right.
B
But.
A
But Kevin O' Connell does have a
E
track record of how's JJ McCarthy doing?
A
Right. But Sam John just won a Super
E
bowl with another team.
A
Right.
F
I disavow that, by the way. He's the. Not the. Just. Just so we know.
B
That's a bit. That's a bit far.
A
It's a bit far. You're lashing out there. That's a bit far. Either way, fun free agency start. So we're going to get into everything with Nate Tice where he breaks it all down, but the Raiders. Tyler, Linda Linderbaum, huge contract.
B
Yeah.
A
Which actually was a great contract for him because he's. I think he's 25 years old. He's going to be a free agent again, essentially after two years. Or like after two years, he could basically say, I want an extension or, you know, get more money. So he's going to double dip again. He's going to dip again. Yeah. And I like that the Raiders got. There's certain teams that just needed to get competent guys on the roster. It feels like the Raiders did that. Feels like the jets did that. Feels like the Titans did that.
B
It felt to me like the Raiders were just doing a full team transplant.
A
Yeah.
B
It's like our team was very bad last year. We're gonna go out, we're gonna spend $280 million to get people who weren't on the Raiders to be on the Raiders.
A
Yep.
B
And therefore we should be a lot better at football. They did get some good, like, quitty pay, I think, is a good player.
A
Yep.
B
Linderbaum is a very good player. And every dollar spent by Tom Brady getting these types of good players is a dollar that is, well, almost worth double because it's got the added bonus of keeping them off the Patriots.
A
Yeah.
B
In fact, memes, that's. You should be excited about that. Like, Tom Brady elected to trade Geno Smith to you because he knew that it would be bad for the Patriots if Gino Smith was in that division.
A
It's a really good. That's a really good spin zone.
B
Yeah. That is true.
E
But I. Tom Brady also doesn't like the Jets.
F
Right.
B
Also true.
A
Also true.
B
Fair point.
A
Do you guys want to do some winners? I thought the Panthers getting Jalen Phillips, even though it was a lot of money, I feel like you got to do it. So much money. So much money. But Cap went up and I feel like you have to do those type of moves, especially when you are a playoff team from last year. Your defense was a problem you had. You have, like, a few defensive guys. You need to fill a lot of holes. He's young, he's versatile. The Eagles probably would have liked to have him back, right?
F
Not at that price.
A
Not at that price. But I'm saying the Eagles would have liked to have him back.
F
They were trying to get him back, and then the Panthers gave him that price and then it was like, all right, fine, you'll take it. We'll take another third.
A
Like, I actually think you just got
F
third round picks every year.
A
But if I were a gm, by the way, the compensatory picks are bullshit. The. The Bears got absolutely screwed with the Ian Cunningham thing where Matt Ryan basically said, I'm not making any of the decisions and we'll just get rid of the system. If that's. That's the case. But the Panthers. I like to move for Jalen Phillips. I would have, if I were a GM in the NFL, I would just try to copy my work off of all the good GMs. Like, I'd be like, oh, Howie's how he wants to resign Jalen Phillips.
B
I'll give him more money slightly.
A
Yeah, yeah. Like just any. Any good gm, if they're interested at all. I just think, well, here's a little bit more money.
B
Mm.
A
Right. It's kind of a sound strategy, I
F
think it was a lot more money.
A
A lot more money. Sometimes you got to pay a lot more money for it. Also, all these. We say this every year. All these contracts are just. They mean nothing right now. Like, the max amount of money gets reported and then they get into the details and it's like, oh, they can cut them after two years.
B
I'm seeing more and more of the, like, total value and then guaranteed. Yeah, total value one is just completely made. It's just totally $190 million with 25 million guaranteed. I think. You know what, I'm going to consider that a job, a war won by us against the NFL media.
A
Yes.
B
Over the last 10 years, when we started the show, nobody reported the guaranteed money.
A
We could never figure it out.
B
And. And idiots like us complained enough and told like the NFL reporters, the. The rap reports and the shifters of the world that when you report these contracts, we know we're on to you. The agents are telling you it's $150 million. It's really only 40 million. Can we please get the real numbers? We won that war. Congratulations.
A
Yeah. The, the Jalen Phillips contract is $120 million reported. It's $80 million guaranteed, which is a good amount.
B
That's a lot of guarantee.
A
It's definitely a good amount. But it's like that's not 120 million that we initially saw. Okay. Other winners from free agency. I, I think I would put the Falcons just because they got all the left handed quarterbacks.
B
They got all the left handed players.
A
They've cornered the market. I don't really know what to say other than that with the Falcons because they, I just still can't believe the course of events that have occurred with the Falcons and the fact that they signed Kirk Cousins to a ton of money. Drafted Michael Penix who's been injured his whole career, then got injured and then they're like, well then we'll get Tua.
B
It's the funniest thing.
A
It's crazy.
B
It's very funny. I, I think that they are and we're going to talk about it a little bit with Nate Tice, but they've got a left handed center.
A
Yeah.
B
And I think they were the only team that had a left handed center and left handed quarterback. Now they've got a left handed quarterback and a left handed backup quarterback to go along with their left handed center. It's a weird, it's a weird fit. I don't think that Tua can throw the ball downfield at all. But he can like do swing patches to, to Bijan and that's pretty much what, what they're going to ask him to do there.
A
Maybe his hip can get better.
B
I don't think that two is going to. Well, he's got. Yeah. Like a mechanical robot hip. I don't think it's going to get that. I think what we saw from two is what we're going to get.
A
The Dolphins signing Malik Willis. I'm happy for Malik Willis to get that money. Part of me is like, like it does feel like Malik Willis went from a bad situation in Tennessee to a good situation in Green Bay and potentially back to a bad situation in the Dolphins. But he's getting paid this time. Yeah, but you know what I mean, like if he. It's going to be a little bit harder for him to have the impact. Maybe I'll be proven wrong with a rebuilding roster like the Dolphins.
B
Right.
A
But the Dolphins GM and Jeff Halfley are both from the Packers. They got to see him up close. They seemingly like him. They get to see him more than everyone else saw him. So Feels like a decent bet. It's more like, would you be shocked if Malik Willis in two years is like, what happened? Why wasn't he the same guy that he was with the Packers? Like, well, he went to the Dolphins and they're rebuilding.
B
Right. They have, I think, Bobby Slowik, their offensive coordinator, and he's. He's been competent at times. I know some Texans fans might disagree with that, but he's had at least a few good years where he was like the next hot young head coach. Willis's time in Green Bay, it's like, it's not going to get any better than that, I don't think. No, that's probably like. But if you got that Malik Willis from Green Bay, if you're a guarantee to that, then he would get paid like a top tier quarterback.
A
Oh, yeah.
B
He played amazing when he got in. In Green Bay. I think it's kind of a low risk situation for the Dolphins where they didn't break the bank for him. No.
A
Yeah, definitely.
B
They paid him a good amount of money and he is like the best possible bridge quarterback that you can have. And if he's really good, then you can figure out a way to resign him and that'll be great.
A
And if he's bad, you'll just drive
B
if he's bad, it's like, whatever. We're used to having bad quarterbacks.
A
Yeah, we'll be. We'll be in the draft. I.
E
We.
A
The Rams, I think, did the best job in terms of filling their two immediate holes. Cornerback. Both cornerback positions instantly. Chiefs. Kenneth. Kenneth Walker. I think that's a great signing. Again, we're going to get into all of it in detail. And Nate Tyson knows a lot more football than we do, so he breaks down exactly what he thinks of every signing. I also thought, I kind of like the move when Harbaugh with the Giants, like, I need a couple Ravens on my team.
B
Yeah.
A
Just to keep a little continuity. They got Isaiah likely, and I think they also got the punter, who's a very good punter. Jordan Stout. Yeah.
B
And I also liked what the other Harbaugh did. He got Alec Ingold. Yeah. Fullback. So now, like, he had Matlock out in Los Angeles as his fullback. A fullback that didn't really play offense. He was a defensive lineman and he would send him out there and occasionally be like, hey, turn around and act like you're going to catch a pass. Alec Ingold may be the best fullback in football, and it was the most fullback move ever. When he signed with the Chargers, he Signed. He's now the. The co leading fullback in terms of payment. I love that he's like, you know, a lot of guys will be like, give me $1 more so I can say I'm the highest paid fullback. Not. Not Alec Engel. That's not the fullback way. Yeah, he's tied for it.
A
There are four teams right now who have not done anything. Jaguars, Broncos, Eagles, Seahawks. Who's going to be the first to do something?
B
The Broncos didn't do anything.
A
Not yet.
B
Did they resign? Singleton?
A
I'm saying free agents.
B
Okay.
A
Like free free agents off. Not on their team signing them.
B
Okay.
A
Yeah. Not. Not counting resigning guys existing on their roster because. Yeah, Travis Etienne went to the Saints, which I love for our guy, Shock. Love for our guy Shock do. Who's gonna be the first?
B
I think.
A
Are the Eagles gonna do anything, Max? Just wait and see.
F
Yeah, they'll do something.
D
I mean, are the Commanders going to sign a wide receiver?
A
Pft, we might. Was that little smile, right?
B
I mean, Brandon Ayuk, he's the guy that. The most talented wide receiver in this class. I think we're probably zeroed in on him.
A
Why are you smiling like that?
B
I just.
C
I read a couple reports.
D
I was waiting for PFT to bring it up, but Patriots signed Romeo Dobbs.
B
What reports?
D
He chose the Patriots over the Commanders.
A
Oh. Oh, wow.
C
Yeah.
B
Was it money? No. What was it?
D
It's quarterback.
B
Seems racist. Okay.
A
Congrats.
B
Congrats. Congratulations on kind of racist guy, if that's your thing. I mean, maybe New England, you know, some history there. But wait, so you're saying Romeo Dobbs, the guy that has to, like, buy prescription, wear a guardian cap everywhere he goes and in the shower because he's had so many concussions, he thinks that Drake May is better than Jane Daniels. That guy does, yeah. Okay, you want to ask, like, Amanda Bynes or Joe Biden what they think? Some other intellectual titans?
C
No, I'm just.
A
I was interested in your comment on the report Brain. Now.
B
I'm just saying the guy's. He's known for having the biggest guardian cap in the league.
D
What's wrong with that?
A
He's saying he can't think anymore.
B
I'm just saying, like, that's the guy. That's the guy. That you're trusting his judgment. Okay, I'm not.
D
I'm just like, telling you what the report was.
A
Yeah.
B
Okay.
A
So he's reporting.
B
Okay. All right.
A
Just doing reporting.
B
No, I'm fine with that. I think that there's better receivers out there. Than Romeo Dobbs.
D
What if they also choose the Patriots over the Commanders?
B
Then you're gonna have a lot of receivers. That's.
D
That'd be good.
A
What were you just listening to, Max? You have a report I liked, but I. I thought what the Commanders did was good. You got defensive end.
B
Oh, wait.
A
Yeah.
B
Yeah. Always a beast. Yeah, Shane was very upset about that. Yeah, I like oa. We may have paid him a lot of money, but sometimes you got to pay to play. You got to pay to play.
A
You got to Pay to play.
B
Four years, $100 million. 68 million guaranteed for away.
A
You got to just pay to play.
B
So I like it. But yeah. Hey, congratulate Romeo. Great wide receiver when he plays.
C
Yeah, I'm excited.
D
He's young, fast. Still probably need to get someone else.
B
But who do you want?
D
A.J. brown.
B
Yeah. Is Max gonna give them to you?
F
You know the price. You know the price is the price.
D
Two second rounders.
F
I feel like the two second rounders.
B
He will be an Eagle. I feel like the price might not be the price, Max.
F
What do you mean?
B
Well, the price is the price might not be the price.
A
Well, no, whatever the price goes for, that's what the price was.
B
I'm talking. You're talking about capital T, capital P. The price. I'm talking about lowercase P. Price.
F
Then he will come back.
B
I. Because I don't think that Howie Roseman wants to have another year of A.J. brown.
F
He would have traded him already if he.
C
If.
F
If it was that.
A
The price is the price.
F
The price.
A
You see what I'm saying? If. Even if he gets traded for like a seventh rounder, that would be the price.
B
Yeah, but that's lowercase P. Max has an uppercase P in his mind right now.
A
The big price.
B
What's the big price, Max?
F
The price is the. The. It starts with the first round pick. You know, it starts with the first
B
round picks with the first.
F
And realistically, it's probably a 20. The. If the Patriots want. It's a 2027 first round pick, not 2026.
B
Why is that?
F
Because their first round pick this year is basically a second round pick.
B
Are you going to be having any more changes on defense, Max?
F
Losing any more? See, this is a problem that I guess you don't really understand. When you draft really good players all the time, you have to pay really good players all the time.
A
Yeah, explaining it to them.
F
That's why, you know, sometimes you lose guys in free agency. Because we have too many good guys.
B
I know. I get that. That's why I'm wondering if you're playing.
F
I know. I saw what you were. I saw you were trying to do. Yeah. We have a plan. We have a plan.
B
What's the plan?
F
The plan is to keep. Is to make sure that the core of this defense stays put. We have to make sure that we can retain the core of this defense. If that means that we are losing some guys. You can't sign everyone. That's how. That's how the NFL works. That's how the Cap works.
A
How.
F
He's going to figure it out. Vic Fangio is going to figure it out. We're going to put together another successful defense. We lost a shit ton of guys last year on the defense and then we came back and still had a top defense this year.
B
Yeah. So you're keeping the core. Who is the core?
F
Jordan Davis, Cooper, De Jean Quinnion, Mitchell. Probably Jalen Carter.
B
Probably. He's probably the core.
F
Probably.
B
You sound like a nuclear guy. Chernobyl.
F
He's probably the core.
A
Yeah, he's probably the core.
F
And if not, we'll get a ton of assets back for him.
A
Yep. Compensatory picks.
C
We.
F
You got to work. You got to think about the future while also competing for the present.
A
Yeah, that's what.
B
That's.
F
That's what good programs do. We got four picks back this year.
B
That's what it's all about.
F
And we draft well.
A
Yeah, that's fact.
B
Max, I was honestly just trying to talk ball with you and you seemed like you were getting upset.
F
Well, no, you weren't. You were doing your thing. You were. I know exactly what you were doing.
B
I was just curious.
A
Hank was doing his thing to pft, then PFT turned around and did it to Max.
H
Yeah.
B
Shut Hank up because he realized how racist he was. I didn't. I'm not. Didn't do anything.
D
I nearly reported a report.
B
How many K is in Hank?
D
One.
B
One.
D
My name's Henry.
A
It is. I love the name Henry.
D
Thank you.
A
I like what the Bears did, too. Kobe Bryant. That's kind of cool.
B
Yeah.
A
Kobe Bryant.
B
I mean, he's a good player, but.
A
Yeah, no, he's very cool player. And Devin Bush, who should be. I like. It was. It's a fine free agent. I'm actually happy that it's not a. We're not in a spot where we have to be a Raiders and just sign everyone. You know, it's like, hey, couple good. Now it's time for draft. Now it's. Now it's go time. In the draft. Zach, how are you feeling about Mike Evans no longer being a 1 jersey guy?
G
I really want to see Mike Evans retire as a Tampa buccaneer. You know, he provided a lot of, a lot of joyful moments on Sundays
A
watching the Bucks, but he's not.
G
But he's not. He's going out to California. I mean, there's a couple different reasons maybe why he left.
B
He sounded like.
G
A lot of guys are saying, who's,
B
like, losing their son to go pursue the dreams of being an actor? And you're like, stay on the farm, son.
G
Yeah. I mean, I thought he, he left. I thought he was getting paid. I was like, all right. Yeah, good for him. I thought he was getting 3 or 60, but I guess the guaranteed money's only like 16 million. He's gonna pay a lot of taxes out there. Wouldn't have paid all those in Florida.
B
Seems personal.
G
I'm thinking maybe he just, him and Todd Bowles just don't. Maybe they just, they weren't meant to be.
A
Yeah.
B
Yeah.
G
Yeah. Is what I think it really comes down to.
A
I think so.
B
Yeah. I think, I think a lot of Mike Evans, and so that would, that would fit nicely with what I think about him.
G
See, I don't feel good about it at all.
D
No.
A
How could you?
C
Yeah.
E
I don't.
A
Also, the Michael Pittman Steelers, I feel like they're just gearing up for Aaron Rodgers to come back.
B
Yeah. I mean, they're, Are they going to do Will Howard? Because that seems like it's your only other option. Yeah, we'll hire next year. We'll hire next year. I, yeah, they have to be thinking that Aaron's going to come back.
G
Yeah.
B
Right. If you're getting. This is a perfect Aaron Rodgers guy. That's the guy.
A
Yes.
B
You want just, you just want to run short patterns.
A
Yes.
B
You want dink and dunk.
C
Let's do that.
A
Yes. Did you see?
B
I think it is cool that Pittsburgh got a guy named Pit man, though.
A
Like, that is cool.
B
That's pretty bad. It sounds like a superhero.
A
That's underrated, right? Did you guys see? I, I, I wish I bookmarked it, I think, on day one of NFL free agency. Oh, yeah. Final, final tally. Adam Schefter, 27. News breaks. Tom Pelissaro, 14. Mike Garofalo, 7. Jordan Schultz, 4. Ian Rapport, 4. Other 10, 27, 4 between Schefter and Rapport.
B
That's kind of wild.
A
That's a blowout.
B
Yeah.
A
Shift is chef in his prime. I think he might be in his prime right now.
B
Like, honestly running up the score a little bit. Bad sportsmanship by Shefty,
A
like, that's. That's a blowout.
B
That's a blowout.
A
That's an absolute. I remember when it used to be a competition. It's no longer a competition.
B
How many of those were by, like 10 seconds?
A
I don't know. And they also have been, they've been increasingly low on details. Like the, the news breaking now is. Has to be first by a matter of seconds that they, they all just break the news.
B
Yeah.
A
Then update the news. Like five minutes later, he updates the tweet. Yeah.
B
Back and like, edits the tweet. But my tweet got up first.
A
That shouldn't count. You should, you should not be able to report it until you have all the details.
B
I think you can report it, but the report has to stay up. You can't change it.
A
Yeah.
B
You just have to live with it.
A
Yeah. Okay. We're, like I said, we're going to get into all the free agency with Nate Tyson. He actually breaks it down in a smart way instead of us just kind of egging each other on to say something before we get to the rest of the show. DraftKings. A
World Baseball Classic is awesome. Continues to be sick.
B
It was a great game last night.
A
Yep.
B
Honestly felt there was one moment where it felt like Mexico might come back.
A
It was very. Yeah.
B
It felt like things a little tense, might be slipping a little bit.
A
Yeah.
B
But the USA pulls through. Wit's just such a good player.
A
Bobby Witt was putting on a defensive master class.
B
Paul Skin's love playing with Bobby Witt. It's. It's great seeing guys that. They're like, man, baseball can be so fun.
A
Yeah, I'm allowed to have fun playing this. Paul Skeens also helped out. Gave a nice desist to Kevin Durant, who had not tweeted since the entire Kevin Durant burner files. Durant came out of retirement. Just saying, Paul Skeens is a dog, which I said right away is like, it's such a layup. It's like. It's like tweeting, ice cream is good. Everyone will agree with, Paul Skeens is a dog.
B
Yeah.
A
So he let. He gave Kevin Durant a beautiful reentry point into the Twitter world, where obviously all the replies are just like, hey, man, are you ever going to talk about the fact you trash people online? But doesn't matter. We're talking about usa. We're talking about Paul Skeens being adult.
B
Yeah. It's like you're not being patriotic if you. If you bring up. Why you bring up old shit on Kevin Durant.
A
Right. Exactly.
B
Why can't you just admit that Paul Skeens is currently a dog right now? Now.
A
Yes.
B
Yes, he was. He was a dog.
A
And we also had.
B
And he also paid. I don't know if you caught this part of the broadcast. He paid for a bunch of F35 pilots to be there.
A
Love that.
B
And a couple, I think C130s too. They're just pilots all over the stadium.
A
Last. Nice. We also had the Cal Raleigh, Randy Raina beef, which I love. So they're Seattle Mariners teammates. Randy goes up to him to give him a little tap when he comes up to the plate. Cal Raleigh says, nah, dude, we're in the world. But baseball classic. This shit means something to me. And then I think it might be kind of real beef.
B
I didn't think that it was at first. I thought that it was like a teammate rolling up and he's got like pine tar in his hand. So he's trying to fuck with. With Cal Raleigh, trying to get him to dap him up. But then I saw the comments from a Rosarina afterwards, and he says, the only thing that Raleigh should be thankful for is having such great parents. He's well educated. I was lucky enough to see them a few days ago at the hotel. They came over to greet me, give me a big hug. They were genuinely proud to see me again. Then he said, raleigh needs to off. Go to hell. That good to see you. That he said to me, he can shove it straight up his ass. I'm out.
A
Was that kind of like a. A weird mafia threat where he's like, I saw your parents.
B
Your parents look great.
A
I know what your parents look like.
B
Yeah, he should be. The only thing he should be thankful for is his two lovely parents who are staying currently in room 207 of the same hotel that I am.
A
I. I love this because I want. I think everyone going into the World Baseball Classic is like. The only thing we don't want is for it to feel like an all star game. We want it to be real bad blood. These guys are about to start the season. So Cal, thank you. Like, Cal Raleigh, thank you. You gave it this, the juice we need, and I'm down for it. I don't want this juice.
B
I didn't think that Raleigh would be the guy to do it because he is such a nice guy.
A
I know.
B
But, like, everybody's got to do something. He didn't get any hits last night, so I'm glad he stirred this up a little bit.
A
He's an American hero.
B
He is an American hero for that. It was. It was crazy to see Aaron Judge putting a team on his back in a situation that doesn't really matter.
A
Yeah.
B
But he did it again last night.
A
Oh. Like you said, it did matter at one point where it's like, oh, this could be a. This could be a close game.
B
And so tonight we have USA against the Italians. Right?
A
Max for the winner of pool B.
B
Max, who you rooting for?
F
It's got to be the Americans.
A
But what if the Italians win? Well, the.
F
I think the Americans still advance.
A
No, I know, but what if the Italians win? Will you tweet maybe one Italian flag?
F
No.
A
Okay.
B
You won't be. You're not celebrating at all.
A
It is funny because team Italy is just all Americans.
F
Oh, yeah.
A
That are just like New Jersey Italians. Our guy Vinnie.
F
So no, every team is. Is just different Americans.
A
Well, not Japan and, like, Dominican Republic,
F
but like all of the.
B
Yeah, yeah.
A
The teams that can't fill out full
B
roster is just pretty much people from the Czech Republic.
A
Did you see that guy who pitched four innings today, scoreless. He's an electrician.
B
It was incredible. He's an unbelievable electrician. He shut out Japan for four innings, and then the Tokyo Dome gave him like, a standing round of applause when they pulled him out of the game. Just. Just a nation that loves ball.
A
That was.
D
That was going to be my cool throne.
A
Is.
B
Is.
D
Is baseball takes in 50 years.
A
What about it?
D
Like, if you're talking about sh. You can literally say he was just playing against electricians.
A
Yeah, good point, Hank.
B
That's a great point.
D
Was he that good, Hank?
B
That's. That's.
D
He got shut out by an electrician.
A
That's something from.
F
Pft.
B
Pft.
F
You should have said that first.
B
I should have.
F
That's something that you should know.
G
That's.
E
That's.
A
Know.
B
First of all, that. That's because you're not giving cred credit to Hank.
A
Yeah.
B
You're making this about me.
F
No, but that's.
B
No, I don't like that.
C
I don't like that.
F
That's.
B
We should be celebrating Hank for coming up with an awesome joke.
F
No, it is. It's a great joke.
B
Yeah, Great.
A
Tired. Hank wired.
B
No, Hank.
F
When Hank first said that, did a little bit in the back of your mind be like, I should have thought of that.
B
I was too busy doing the Yankees joke last night.
D
I like that one.
B
Yeah, yeah, yeah. There's a Mets England fan. That poor guy. That poor bastard. But Hank, great joke.
A
Yeah.
D
Spent enough time together. Rubs off.
B
Yeah. Now I love. Now I'm skipping work on Mondays to play golf. Hank's making puns.
A
Beautiful thing. You guys are golfing this weekend.
B
Buzzing locks up. Me and Hank are back to being on great terms together. Congrats on Romeo. Dobs.
A
Have you.
D
Have you.
A
Have you.
B
He's a great player. Just don't ask him to catch any onside kicks.
A
Have you changed your stance on the Celtics future? Have you done anything with that after being called the coward?
B
Well, I. Listen. I cash that out because of Hank's crying in his tears.
A
Yep. We know that.
B
And so I've got another plan, but it's not. I'm not going to be doing a future on the Celtics.
A
Okay.
B
My. My plan will not be to put the. The future of the Celtics to win. When I make the bet, you'll be the first to know.
A
By the way, I do appreciate the.
B
The.
A
The NBA every now and then having a game. We were like, oh, yeah, like Wemby Friday night, and then last night or Monday night was Jokic and sga, which was incredible.
D
Celtics killed Wemby tonight.
A
Oh, there's a pre take. Yeah, pre take. But yeah, SGA was another classic. Would he tie wilt for most 20 point games in a row?
B
Most consecutive 20 point games. Was it like 100 something?
A
It's crazy.
B
That's. That's actually insane.
A
Insane. He had a 35 and 35, 15 and 9. And Jokic had. I think he had a triple double. Yeah, he had. He had 32, 14 and 13. It was. It went down to the last shot as a. Oh, yeah. This is awesome.
B
As a Lou Dort apologist.
A
No.
B
Do you have any comment about the flying elbow that he put.
A
I think Jokic's face shouldn't have been there.
B
Okay.
A
His face attacked Lou Dortz's elbow.
B
Would you say that if Luke. If Jokic's brothers were here?
A
Yeah, I would.
B
Okay.
A
Where are they? In this room?
B
Let me. Let's bring them in.
A
Do they speak fluent English?
B
No. I think that's what you gotta do for your guy.
A
Lou Dort just.
B
Yeah. No matter what.
A
So if they don't speak fluent. Fluent English, I would definitely say the same thing. Listen, Lou Dorko's hard. What are you gonna do?
B
He does. It was a great game.
A
He's. He's just. He's playing hard basketball and sometimes elbows end up in people's faces in weird spots and. Yeah, he lost control of his arm. He lost control of his left arm for a brief second.
B
What do you think about. About SGA's press conference after the game? He had a pretty cold line.
A
Yeah. What was it?
B
It was something like, I've got all the. I've got all the answers to the test, but first I have to look at the questions.
A
Yeah,
B
that's.
A
That is a cold. I have answers to the test, but I got to see the questions first.
C
Yeah.
A
And he's got cool sunglasses.
B
He's got cool shades. Very 1980s look out of him. I like this look better than the last one. Where it looked. Yeah, he was wearing the parka.
A
Okay. Any other sports things before we do Hot Seat, Cool Throne, which I know.
C
We'll.
A
We'll hit some more. Conference championship week.
B
Caleb Foster might be out for the entire tournament.
A
I already said sorry.
B
Yeah, it looks like he's got a broken foot. Maybe. Maybe the Jones fracture.
A
I already said sorry.
D
Yeah, we did this already.
A
Yeah. No, I said sorry.
B
No, but the report got updated today.
A
Yeah. And I said sorry. And I continue my sorry. My sorry stays.
F
It is interesting the way they're wording everything, though.
B
I think with him, he's out. He's out for the tournament.
F
They're. They haven't used that terminology.
B
What do they said?
F
They're saying that he's out for the foreseeable future. Everything I'm seeing is foreseeable future. I have not seen that he's out for the season.
B
If it's the. If it's the Jones fracture of which I am a survivor. Max, aren't you a survivor?
D
Shire announced it.
B
Oh, never mind. Oh, read it.
F
Read it.
A
Read it, Read it. Read it.
B
What do you say?
D
No.
A
Read it.
D
No.
A
Read it.
D
Nope.
B
Because there was a report today, right?
D
Nope.
B
Yeah.
A
Max, how fast did you come. Max is right.
F
Oh, okay. I'm happy to be wrong. I just thought it was interesting.
A
I wish you were wrong. Wait, which side are you on? Max Goodman's got so.
F
I don't know, I just feel like the word. The wording foreseeable future is weird without, like. Why wouldn't you just say out for the season?
A
I mean, Duke. Duke's so good. It doesn't really matter. See, like,
F
like espn. Foreseeable future. Ross deep.
A
Well, that is true.
F
He's out for the foreseeable. Yeah, it's true.
A
He is out for the foreseeable future.
B
Okay, how long is the foreseeable future, though?
F
That's what I'm saying. I don't know.
B
There's no crazy world.
G
Is.
A
Could be tomorrow, the next day, maybe
B
if we even wake up tomorrow.
A
I. Injuries suck. They do, Especially this time of year. I don't want them. I want just a clean tournament. I want. I want the best on best. That's what I want. And I really wish he was fine. Hopefully he'll be back.
C
Yeah.
A
Yeah. Let's just hope he's back.
D
Be an awesome story.
A
Be an awesome story.
B
Can you imagine?
D
Final four.
B
Caleb Foster returns for the final four. Then Duke loses in the final. What amazing story that would be.
A
Come on.
C
Dude, I'm sorry.
B
That was.
A
Come on. Okay, let's do hot sea Cool Throne, brought to you by Jose Cuervo. When Cuervo enters, every moment just gets better. You find yourself in the center of the dance floor. You can't help but stand up and high five those around you at the game. The room reacts like it just got the same text at the same time. You stop checking the time. Suddenly small talk escalates to laughing so hard you can barely catch your breath. That's the Cuervo effect. A signal everybody understands a moment that anyone can join and a good time that just grows. All you have to do is keep it Cuervo. We're also brought to you by our friends at Slim Jim. This episode is brought to you by Slim Jim. And we have some big news to report. Buffalo Wild Wings and Slim Jim have teamed up to create something clutch. A brand new chicken stick. This isn't your run of the mill meat stick. It's everything you love about chicken wings. Packed into a convenient snack stick ready for your take on the go. It's bold, tangy, mouth watering chicken wing flavor anytime, anywhere. Each juicy, tender bite delivers a big win. New Buffalo Wild Wings Chicken sticks from Slim Jim. Available in two delicious flavors, Buffalo or hot. We love. Look. Buffalo Wild Wings and Slim Jim. That's probably two of my favorite, favorite brands. Teaming up. I got it right here in my hand. You know the rule. If the game's on, you need to be locked in with snacks on deck. So stock up for game day and tear into the new Buffalo Wild wing chicken sticks from Slim Jim. I'm gonna open one and take a bite right now. I'm slap in. I'm gonna snap it.
B
Snap in.
A
Oh, that's really good. There you go. I love this. All right, Hank, your hot seat. Cool throw.
D
My hot seat is you, big cat.
A
Oh, why?
D
I don't wanna, you know, I don't want to give free publicity to competition, but your, your co host. Pft.
B
Careful.
D
Has. Has found a new friend.
B
Yeah. To debate sports with Careful.
A
Who?
D
And he spent, I don't know, three hours this morning.
B
Oh, not three hours.
D
Just, just have dishing back and forth takes.
C
With who?
B
Three hours?
D
It was an AI app.
B
Oh no.
D
Yeah, of a competitor.
B
There's an AI competitor that you can have a conversation with and talk sports.
A
Colin Coward app.
B
Yeah, we got into a colleague. Yeah, we got into it this morning. But it was one of those things like mutual respect. Like it was, you know, two great boxers get into the ring for 12, 12 rounds. At the end of it, we each hold each other's arms up, we step off and you know, we're just happy to, to be sharing the same space as the other guy.
A
So Colin Coward sold all of his data to AI that's kind of, it's worth it.
B
He could, he can make a divorce reference out of anything. I was, I was pushing the limits of this thing.
A
That's crazy. So it's just an AI. How does it work?
B
I sit down, I, I make sure big cat's not around and then I start, I, I open up the app.
A
Isn't this the.
B
I say feed me a hot take Colin. And then, then I disagree with him. I. I say, how does this relate to Blockbuster Netflix?
A
How was this? Isn't this like the waken Phoenix like her or whatever falls in love with a robot?
D
It was. I'm never like.
B
I saw it.
D
I was like, this is ridiculous. Who's going to use this app? And then I'm not joking. Pft. Was. Was debating with it for like 45 minutes.
B
Well, I was also asking it like, you know, give me some jets takes. And then Memes was getting upset with the AI.
A
Oh, no.
B
And then I was playing in Shane's ear about the Chargers and Shane actually like got mad like it was a person and he started arguing with my phone. And then I just.
A
Do you have any saved.
B
I don't know if you can say
D
I took some video.
A
Oh, let me play. Play a video real quick. Hear this.
C
I don't know.
D
I feel like there's a lot of office chatter, but.
A
Okay, So you're just doing this all morning.
B
That's for about like 30 minutes.
A
Oh, man, I am worried. I am worried. That's not true, Colin. So you can talk to it.
B
Yeah, but I was thinking about you the whole time, I swear.
A
Wait, you can talk to it? How does that work? Yeah, you talk.
B
You have a engaging back and forth. This is not an ad, by the way. And I don't think that too many people are going to absolutely like. It would be a very sad person that's like at home by themselves arguing with AI Colin Coward.
A
And like you are going to do.
B
I was doing it. I was doing it behind Hank. I was also like, after 30 minutes of doing it, I thought to myself, like, this is. This is like me taking batting practice before I get into the studio for the. When the lights go on and it's game time. But yeah, I mean, me and Colin had a dynamic back and forth. I did. I beat him in the debates, though. Hank even said a few times like, you. You broke it.
A
You did.
B
Yeah, he.
D
Well, the longer. Sometimes it takes a long time to answer. And I was like, we almost be coward.
B
Colin can't with me me.
A
Okay, so you have nothing cost.
B
It was free.
A
Oh, is there upgrades that you paid for?
B
I might have to pay some.
A
Yeah.
B
It's only fans for Colin Coward.
D
Okay, then my cool throne is respecting women.
A
Yeah.
B
Hell yeah.
C
Yeah.
D
The Atlanta Hawks canceled Magic City Night. Thank God. It would have been disgusting. Bad for the kids.
A
So I'm happy they said what about the wings?
D
The error of their ways and. And canceled this night. I'm just happy.
B
Yeah.
D
Women.
B
You're happy.
D
Lou Cornette, hero, respecter of women. Good stuff.
B
I think. I think next Monday we should make it Magic City night. And part of my take.
A
Yeah. Did you see someone pointed out that there is now like, the greatest three merch items that have never been released are sitting in Atlanta somewhere. 2020 was supposed to be the final four for when Covid happened. 2021 was the MLB All Star Game. Remember the bathroom thing? And they moved it and then Magic City, they already made the sweatshirts. Whoever has those three is a king.
B
The Magic City sweatshirts were awesome. Amazing.
A
I want it, not Hank, you can't wear it. No.
D
Fuck no.
A
That's a such a fucking prude, dude.
B
Why are you afraid of titties?
D
I love titties.
B
I think titties are good. Kissing titties.
D
I love seeing titties. But I also care about the kids and. And the NBA being a, you know, a sport, all inclusive sport.
A
I also saw someone had a nice checkmate where they're like, I would much rather have to explain my kids what Magic City is than what this statue is. And it was just a picture of Carl Malone. Fair point.
B
At a Jazz game. Yeah, yeah. Or like, why is this team called the Jazz? Yeah, yeah. Again, I think that the most offensive thing to the kids was Atlanta Hawks basketball. And so Magic City being there.
A
Hope you. Hope you feel good. You're. You're canceling Karen. That's what you are. Just so you know, you're canceling Karen.
B
If you don't like it. No.
A
You're canceling Karen. Yeah. Close your eyes, bro.
D
What if you're a die hard Hawks fan with young kids.
A
Close your eyes.
B
I do think that that scenario is maybe my favorite scenario. Like a young. A young Hawks family from, like rural Georgia that. That Scrimson saves up 75 a year.
A
They're the best.
B
Buy a ticket. They finally got their ticket to the game, and it's on that Monday. They bought it like five months ago. Come on, y'.
A
All.
B
Get in the car. We're gonna go see our Atlanta Hawks. Now.
C
It's tight.
B
Farm Arena. They drive across the state. They. They get in and they're like, what is Magic City? Like? That is the funniest possible scenario. And I'm upset that that didn't happen to anybody.
A
But you also have to remember that that person would have been more upset about Paolo not playing for load management.
B
True.
A
So they Were already upset.
B
Yeah.
A
Yeah. The. The mental twists. I. I just.
B
Listen.
A
Find this canceled. Just own the fact that you are canceling Karen.
D
No.
A
Okay, well, you are.
D
I'm not. I'm a supporter of women and Luke Cornette. And if that's wrong, I don't want to be right.
B
Why don't the Atlanta Hawks simply have a game at Magic City? That way everybody that goes to the game is.
D
Because it's a strip club, not a basketball.
B
Is opting in to going to the game. They're not going to show up to a basketball game and be subjected to.
D
They don't let cameras in there.
A
You know what? I'm going to find Luke Cornett's substack. I'm going to subscribe, and I'm going to start making a list of things.
D
You have to subscribe.
A
Okay, well, I'm going to start making a list of things that you should probably follow Luke Cornett in your life. Okay. Okay.
D
What does that mean?
A
I. I'm sure he's got rules for everything.
D
Okay.
A
Yeah.
D
Being the man.
A
Is that what it is?
B
Yeah.
A
Okay, funny guy.
D
Let's get him on.
A
Would love to take my shirt off.
B
Nah. Memes. You don't want them?
C
Nah.
B
I mean, the guy's blog got a entire night canceled.
A
Yeah.
E
I would say this is anti respect of women.
B
I agree, but that's a powerful. You have to admit that, like, tip of the cap to the power of his blog. The pen is mightier than the sword, as they say.
C
Yeah.
A
Cancel culture's real. It is. It is anti respecting women. You're right, Memes.
B
Yeah.
E
We wanted to promote people going to this club, giving these women more money.
A
Right. You're basically shaming the women, being like, oh, this is a line of profession that shouldn't be celebrated whatsoever.
G
Net wants to suppress women.
A
Yeah.
G
Not cool.
A
They're earning money, Hank.
E
How about increase the wage gap?
A
Lou Cornette. Oh, yeah. How about. How about fucking go through the glass ceiling? Luke Cornette. We respect women dressed a pink tax. Luke Cornette. Yeah.
B
Get their ass. Yeah.
A
Let's go.
F
Also happy belated happy or international Women's Day.
A
Yeah. Didn't see a tweet about that, Hank.
D
No, I didn't.
A
Yeah.
D
Every day is international for me.
A
So you just never tweet about it.
D
I don't tweet. I don't tweet, period.
B
That's not true.
D
Tweet about this show. Because I have to.
A
Because you have to.
C
Yeah.
D
It's called your job or else no one's Gonna.
A
Yeah.
D
No one's gonna know what came out.
A
So why.
B
You were excited about Marquette Nation the other day. You tweet about that?
A
You were.
B
You're more excited.
A
That was.
D
That was a. That was a callback to this show.
B
You're more excited about Marquette than you are about women.
D
I'm not a tweeter.
A
Yeah. Yeah.
D
I'm an existor sometimes. If you guys let me.
A
Sister. By the way, Hank, we should. Do you want to put a little. Little something on? Where's the big east tournament? Why can't I find the biggies? Tournament?
C
I already did.
F
It's a Madison Square Garden.
A
No, I know, but I. Yeah.
E
Max.
A
All right. Max. You already put it on to win 65 to 1. I don't see.
D
Was up there last night.
C
Probably because the game's going on.
A
No, I hadn't started yet. All right.
B
I'll find it, hopefully.
A
Okay. Your cool throne.
D
It was respecting women.
A
Oh, yeah, that's right. I already forgot it because you're just lying, okay? PFD your hot seat culture.
B
My hot seat is.
A
I'm lying about what? You don't respect women. You're just. You're white knighting. They're not gonna. You, bro. They're strippers, okay? They're not gonna.
D
Strippers love me.
A
Oh, yeah. They always do.
D
They always tell me that.
A
Yeah.
B
Not anymore.
A
You just took away a fun night for them.
B
Hank might be banned from most strip clubs in America now.
E
Oh, no.
B
Do not serve this customer.
A
Oh.
B
Have fun on Max's bachelorette party.
A
Yeah, we gotta get him in a. I think cowboy.
B
We should all wear, like, matching. Have a scavenger hunt on Max's shirt.
A
White cowboy hat. Oh, man. Okay. Pft.
B
My hot seat is the rest of the PGA tour because Brooks. A little stat that went way under the radar. Brooks switched up his putter at the cognizant for the final round, okay? And Brooks shot the lowest round out there. He shot 65 on Sunday.
A
Okay.
B
Nobody's talking about. Because he didn't win then. He didn't play last weekend. But quietly, Brooks Koepka is playing maybe the best golf of his last, what, three years? And so this week, he's back at the players. His one issue that he's had. The players is hitting the Island Green at 17. Hit it during his practice round. Stuck it.
A
Let's go.
B
So that and the new putter that he's got, bro. I feel like Brooks might be back this week.
A
Brooks, let's go.
B
I'm very excited about Brooks coming Back Fifth major.
D
Would you guys actually be mad if they made it a fifth major?
B
The players. Yeah, I think it should be the fifth major.
A
Like, how do you make it to fifth major?
D
I think the PGA just makes it the fifth major.
A
What about the. What about the farm. Was it Farmers insurance?
B
The Travelers?
A
Travelers. Sorry, what about the Travelers?
B
I'm about the NBA Finals.
A
What about the John Deere? That's what I'm.
B
That's.
D
That's the debate that's going on right now.
A
Well, I guess that could just be the sixth.
B
Well, we've been calling everything the fifth major, right?
D
I know, but if they made an actual major the fifth major, that would be tough for you guys.
A
Why?
D
Because you call everything the fifth major, Right?
B
Well, then just switch the sixth major, which is what I called Bay Hill, because I've. I've been low key saying that the players is the fifth major consistently. So now my mind's already moved on to the next one, so I'll be ready for that if that day comes. But, yeah, the players, it's got a lot of juice. A lot of the guys treat it like it's major. The island green, the iconic 17th, and Brooks is ready to go. Okay, Hank, who do you got this weekend?
A
Brutes?
D
Ludwig
A
2?
B
Yeah. What about Max?
D
Max, Nice.
C
Always Max.
A
Yeah. Nice. All right, you're cool.
B
Thrown. My cool throne is just calling things the next Sam Darnold. I've just heard so many. So many next Sam Darnolds all week. If you're talking about quarterback, he's the next Sam Darnold. Every team's looking for the next Sam Darnold. I think we should just make it regardless of. Of what sport or what athlete. It should just be anything in the world. Anything that used to be. Flash forward to later on this episode. Laser tag might be the next Sam Darnold. But, like, no, regardless of anything that you got, if it's something you used to enjoy back in the day, I'm just. I'm overloaded with hearing people say the next Sam Darnold. Too many Sam Darnold's out there.
A
The next Sam Darnold. Okay. My hot seat is Dak Prescott, who we talked about on Monday, but the email leak that all of his guests for his wedding. You can't. He's got to get better friends. That sucks. Someone sold. Someone sold it to tmz. It said as many. I mean, it was innocuous, so it's not a big deal, but it still kind of sucks. As many of you know. Our wedding is currently scheduled to take place in Lake Como, Italy, on Friday, April 10, 2026. It is with heavy hearts that we privately inform our attendees that we have made the very difficult decision to cancel our wedding. We deeply apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you, and we welcome your prayers, Sarah Jane Ramos and Dak Prescott. That's. That sucks that someone sold the email to tmz. That fucking sucks.
B
There's nothing sacred anymore.
A
Hank, where do you land on the prenup situation?
B
And what do you mean?
F
Rumor has it had nothing to do
A
with the prenup, but I'm just asking Hank in general.
F
I know. I'm just letting Hank. I'm giving Hank that out there.
B
And what.
A
In terms of what prenups. He's four against.
B
I'm four.
A
Okay.
D
Okay.
C
If you.
D
If you really love someone, the money shouldn't matter.
A
Yeah, it's a good point.
B
And who cares if she makes more than.
A
But then you wouldn't be.
F
Then you would be against.
A
Yeah, because the prenup would mean the money matters.
B
If you're.
A
So this is a tough.
B
If you're for prenup, that means that, like, if you get divorced, you keep your money.
A
Yeah.
B
The money matters if you make more than her.
A
Right.
B
And if you're. If you don't have a prenup, that
A
means the money does not matter.
B
50. 50.
A
Right.
B
And it's. What's mine is yours.
A
Right.
B
What's yours?
C
We were.
A
We beautiful. Built this together.
D
That's true.
B
Beautiful thing.
A
Okay, so where do you stand up?
D
I'm against.
A
You're against.
D
Because if you're getting married, you're never. You're never. You're getting married to be together for forever.
A
Right.
D
So.
A
And you don't think women or. Or men could, like, would get married for nefarious reasons to try to steal money?
C
Right.
A
Right.
C
Well, no.
A
Oh.
D
I'm saying for me, personally.
A
Oh.
C
Other people.
D
It's a case by case basis.
A
Yeah.
B
So judge not, lest you be judged. Just let people do what they want is what you're saying.
C
Yeah.
A
Okay.
B
All right.
A
So it wasn't about the prenup. That it was. It was a fight on the. On the Bachelor. Bachelor.
F
TMZ says breakup was not due to a prenup.
B
Yeah.
A
It was about the bachelor bachelorette party. No, can't do it.
F
I don't think anyone knows what. What the fight was about, but it was apparently not due to prenup.
C
All right.
A
My cool throne is podcasters because the Ohio state president has had to step down because he got in an inappropriate relationship with a Columbus based podcaster. So watch out, Mr. Steal your boys.
B
He's a podcaster.
D
Columbus based podcast.
A
Podcaster, yeah.
D
What does that mean?
A
So it's a. It's a podcaster based in Columbus.
B
Of which there are many.
A
Of which there are many.
F
I feel like that that's got to be. You got to be able to narrow that down, like, pretty easily.
A
Well, no, they name her. That's her on the right. I think that's the podcaster right there.
F
Oh, it's. Yeah, it's.
A
Yeah. Wife podcaster.
F
That's hilarious.
A
It's a great graphic. Yeah. So don't mix it up with podcasts.
B
Again.
A
I think he went on her podcast and then the flames were just too hot. I mean, everyone says that a podcast interview is the greatest aphrodisiac.
B
It happens to a lot of guys that sit on that couch. A lot of them don't want to ever leave.
A
Just such a funny. Like an old man. Like, this guy is in his 60s. He's the Ohio State president. To have. To. Have to come out and be like, I. I'm stepping down because I. I may have a podcaster. Come on. Yeah, I mean, it is again, this is why we're the cool throne podcaster. It's great for our community.
B
I mean, when she says, come on my podcast, she means it in a great way.
A
Correct. Correct. Okay. Zach finishes off.
G
My hot seat is back, by the way.
C
Pft.
B
Oh, yeah, there we go. Philly. Philly maze banger.
G
My. My hots are these. My hot seat. This week is going to be guys who try to tell other grown men how to dress. I. You guys familiar with the DMV rapper Wale?
B
Mm.
A
Yeah.
G
So Wale posts a photo online. He's kind of feeling good, feeling good about himself, you know, trying to go about his day. And then this guy sparks controversy. Sparks a little bit of a debate online. Goes. His quote is, I know I'm being judgmental, but the fact that this looks. This look is acceptable at 40 years old, man, still shocks me. And it's just like, you gotta let people express themselves how you want to express them. There was a lot of guys replying to this photo in particular. Just Compton, full suits, three pieces, pinstripes.
B
Yeah.
G
And I just, I just, I didn't think that was cool, so I wanted to put all those guys in the hot seat. You should think before you reply to things.
C
Yeah.
B
What are we trying to do here? We're trying to just like stunt on Wale and be like, hey, Wale, I know you're probably richer and more successful than me, but here's a picture of me wearing a suit. So who's to say who the bigger man is?
G
I agree.
B
And that's what they're trying to do.
G
A lot of these foes are bad suits.
B
I don't like it. That's a perfectly normal outfit that Wale is wearing. For the record, I love that outfit. I can see myself wearing that outfit. I actually think I might own.
A
You definitely own that outfit.
B
Parts of that outfit.
A
Yeah.
B
If not all.
A
Absolutely.
G
Might put it on for the one time.
A
Yeah. Don't let people live that.
G
Yeah, that. More the story. Let people live. I love that they weren't letting Wale live a little bit online the other day.
B
I don't like that.
G
And then my cool throne. Quick one. We've talked love on this show. We've also talked Chili's Triple Dippers on this show. Have you guys seen the couple who got engaged at Chili's?
C
Yeah.
A
Oh, there's an update.
D
Oh, hair Chili's. That's your Chili, Zach.
G
That's all of our Chilies. And yes, they got update though. Chili subscribe. So got Chili's stepping in young love. They met each other at Chili's. Now they get engaged to Chili's only to be sent off on a chili steamed honeymoon.
A
Oh, I love these people.
G
You could even say they got triple dip there.
A
I love these people. That's incredible. This is a. This is a relationship that's going to make it.
G
I think so as well.
A
Yeah. If you can. If you can. If the. If the foundation of your relationship is the Chili's Triple Dipper or bottomless chips and salsa, you're going to make it.
G
They're not thinking prenups or joint bachelor. Not even a little bit.
A
Hell no. That's not.
G
You Keep your mod sticks away from my. Yeah, my boneless nuggets.
A
Yeah. Okay. Good job. Good hot seat. Cool throne. Everyone. Let's get to some more free agent talk with Nate Tice.

Okay, we now welcome on a very, very, very, very special guest. It is our friend Nate Tice, who's now going to be recurring guess. Nate and I have known each other for many years now. He's a badger. But we also. Nate joined us for dinner in Indianapolis for the combine. So everyone got to meet Nate and we figured what better guy to have on to talk free agency than the guy that knows a ton about football. He talks about it all the time on his podcast, Football 301. He works for Yahoo Sports. So, Nate, thank you for joining us. And I'm excited to dive in. Let's just. Let's dive in.
C
Let's do it.
A
Give us the winner. The number one winner.
C
The number one winner is guards and edges getting paid. Okay, I think, and I think to maybe Tyler Linderbaum's bank account. I think those are the biggest winners of the day. But yeah, it's, you know, you're always going to overspend in free agency. But I, I think Some of these teams that had to spend money, they spent their money, Titans, Raiders. And I actually really like the Linderbaum and Raider signing, even if it is a pretty penny, because it makes sense for what they are and what they're trying to do with Mendoza and Clint Kubiak and all that good stuff. So that's one that I was my first kind of winner, apparently, because just off his bank accounts too, there's some more sneakier signings as well. They're kind of like quasi winners, I would say. But that's the one that kind of really grabbed my attention.
A
Yeah.
B
More than anything else, like a really good center like Linderbaum going to Vegas where they're going to have a rookie quarterback. What does that mean for Mendoza, like for his progression? And I know they're saying right now they don't plan on him starting at the beginning of the year. They want to, they want to have him kind of learn his, learn the ropes in the NFL and take, take his time before he actually gets a starting job. I don't necessarily believe that that's going to happen because sometimes it just. They see a guy and they're like, well, you should just be starting. Let's get you out there. But, but signing a center like this, what does that do for a rookie quarterback and. And their transition to the NFL?
C
It does a lot. It's one of my favorite kind of things is to get a vet center with a young quarterback, because that's the biggest transition. I think not only we. We talk about quarterbacks, but offensive line and running backs is pass protection getting into the next level. And NFL defenses are super complicated right now more than ever. What we saw Mike McDonald do, that, that is kind of the epitome of what the Seahawks and what they were doing in the Super Bowl. But that's what a lot of defenses are doing right now. They're very smart. The blitz packages are very expansive. So it's kind of. That puts the onus on the center to kind of sort things out. Quarterbacks get the trump card. They get the leeway. They earn that right to do, then do what we always think of the sheriff, the Tom Brady, the Peyton Manning pointing, the Drew Brees, all that. That takes time. And there's quarterbacks in the league that do do it. Like Josh Allen is one of those guys now that does that. They. But he took time to earn that right. And so when you have, when you have a center that's seen those looks that knows how to go into a game plan, knows how to communicate, knows how to not only just calms the quarterback down, it calms the entire offensive line and offense down. But it takes so much off the quarterback's plate because now he, I mean these are long, Mendoza's very smart guy. It seems like obviously with his LinkedIn page, all that stuff. But those are long play calls. That's a lot on third down. That's changing week to week. That now it's like, okay, now I don't have to worry about who the mic is. Are we sliding this way? Are we sliding that way? Now I can just execute the pass.
B
Yeah.
C
And then I'll earn the more of the pre snap operation as time goes on. So it just takes a load off and I, I love that. I mean Bears fans have gone through it for years and last year was the first time we kind of felt calm because they had a vet center in there and even Dolman's I would say is more above average than anything. So I think Linderbaum can really just bring that calm presence to a young quarterback.
A
Okay. Outside of Linderbaum and like I think that there, there's definitely certain teams that, you know, the Raiders are one of them. The Titans, the Jets, where it feels like they all did a good job of they just need to get competent football players on the roster who like is there, is there a specific signing of those three teams that you're like, oh, that was actually a really good signing. This is, this is getting them to a place where hey, they're going to actually play some football this year.
C
Yeah. John Franklin Myers going to the Titans that him and Jeffrey Simmons, they're, that's some Bash Brothers potential right there. I, I tweeted this but there's two defensive tack or eight defensive tackles last year that a certain amount of pressure rate like the league average pressure rate is about 10% for edges. I think it's like 9% for defensive tackles. There's only two defensive tackles are above 10 there. And then also had a stuff rate which means tackles for no gain or TFLs of 5% or more. And John, it's Jeffrey Simmons and John Franklin Myers. So I, I, I could see why the Titans, they needed so many bodies, right. They needed guys across their entire defense. It also what it does, it opens up opportunities for their first pick. Now they don't need this position. They, they also traded for Johnson, Jermaine Johnson from the jets. So they don't need an edge. It would be nice to have another guy. They don't need another defensive lineman. They don't need a corner like Elante Taylor or something like that because now they can just go, okay, we can address receiver, we can address offensive line, we can address other positions. Kind of opens that up. So that was the one I would say of those teams that really splash and really threw a lot of money at that. I really like that signing where it's like they paid him a pretty penny but he's going to earn it because he's such a good player and has familiarity with Robert Sala. Having said that, they also signed Wandell Robinson to $17 million a year and I did not like that deal at all.
A
Okay.
B
So.
A
Okay.
C
Yeah. So there's the good and the bad of all this.
B
Yeah. I was going to ask you is there one deal that you thought big time overpay or a reach, maybe a panic move that, that a team had to do?
C
Well, Robinson was a little rich for me because that was just a. They're doing the whole he knows Brian Dables system. I just think he has a very replaceable skill set. A slot only type of. He has to be a target eater. But he's not like super dynamic as a yak guy. I don't think he's a bad player or anything. I just don't think it's the guy that you like. Oh, we have to get this guy because I think it's a very fungible skill set. I'd rather them gone for Romeo Dobbs who's still out there as we're, as we're recording this right now from the Packers. But that, that was one like so the same team kind of just like oh that's. That's a little too rich for me for what I think is just because of coach familiarity. And it's also Dable who, who you know, got fired and won three games. Yeah, it's not exactly, it's not exactly where we're picking the brain of somebody that just came off a Super Bowl a couple years ago or something of that sort.
B
Right.
A
Yeah.
B
It fits his winning system. Brian Dables. Right.
C
Gotta do it.
B
Strategy. Yeah. Now what about Rashawn Gary? What happened with that? Because to, to an outside eye and maybe I just don't know ball. Maybe I'm not in the thick of things like like you know, you who speaks to people in league circles know. But it seemed like he was just going to get cut because he said I'm going to get released. And then the Cowboys were like not so fast. What if I just. What if I gave you a fourth round Pick. Would that make things any better? Like what, what happened with that?
C
I think it was just that, oh, I'm getting cut. And then what happens usually, I mean, we saw that too with the Raiders. They traded for Tron Johnson and it was a six, seventh round swap from the Bills. Oh, I'm going to, I'm going to release. And sometimes that's where that public messaging actually, teams go, oh, he's getting released. And then they go, rather than him hit the waiver wire, okay, we'll trade for him. Rather than it become an open market, we kind of fudged the market and we just jump the line. So obviously a fourth to me means somebody offered probably a six or fifth and they're like. And Jerry sees that first rounder next to his name and just goes, yeah, fourth rounder. Because he's, he's addicted to guys that were formerly drafted in the first round. So I, I think that's what happened is just that they try to jump the line. We saw that with the David Montgomery trade last week, where originally it was reported as a fifth and then actually went for a fourth in a. And offensive lineman and some, and some other, I think a seventh rounder or something. It's because once it gets announced, it's still not official.
A
Yeah.
C
So it's like, that's the thing. And I, I'm not a team that has to deal with the fallback of going like, oh, actually we're doing this instead. So that's what I think happened is that Jerry said, screw that, I'm giving them a fourth instead. So I think that's just what the trickle down after he announced that whole little thing. So I'm sure he got. Did he say he got hacked?
A
I, I said he got hacked.
B
I believe him. Yeah, I believe he definitely got hacked. That wasn't. Yeah, definitely.
A
Yeah, totally.
B
A guy wouldn't put that out there, but I mean, that would make a lot more sense if other teams were offering a fifth and a sixth. And then Jerry was just like, okay, I'll be, I'll be the crazy asshole that goes over the top. I'll give you a fourth and let's get it done. Walk away. We don't have to negotiate that much longer. What about a team that kind of sat on their hands a little bit? Is there a team that you thought would be more active on day one?
C
I wouldn't say I thought they would be more active, but I, I, it's really interesting what's going on with the Eagles because they're kind of cash. They're not broke, but they're cash strapped because of just their contracts right now. And it's just, they're not doing anything. They're really just sitting on their hands. And that's just, they're at a huge crossroads as a franchise. Franchise just, I mean, losing offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland, he retired. Lane Johnson's coming back. But their whole offensive line seem like they're contemplating retirement. Now you got the A.J. brown trade hanging up over their head. They're losing a great safety and Reed Blakenship, I, I really like him. I actually like that signing by the Texans fits their defense perfectly. But I, I, they're lost. Nicoby Dean, who's been banged up, that's another Raider signing, but he's been banged up. So I, I understood that that's why they drafted Jaha Campbell, et cetera, et cetera. But I, I do think that this team is, they're shopping Jalen Carter, and that's very real. That's, there's a lot of smoke there. But also, if I were another team and how he called me and said, hey, Jalen Carter's on the market, I'd be like, what do you know?
B
Yeah, right.
C
Yeah, that's a big buy.
B
That's a fair question to ask.
A
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
C
That's a big buyer beware. But the Eagles are just at a crossroads as a team right now. And then this is somewhat by design. This is how he kind of does it. He does Howie Roseman, he does those pushes and then they kind of reset and we're at that kind of reset stage. But they, I mean, they're inactive because they have to be because they're strapped right now. And then they're also just got the AJ Brown thing hanging over their head. Some of them are by choice, by them. But I do think that, that, that they're interesting to me because it's just that this is a, that it's a weird, I mean, the Cowboys are pushing this year, right? So I, I like how much of a reset is this for the Eagles? They, like, they don't have no tight ends on the roster right now. It's just a, it's a very weird roster at this point in time.
A
Yeah. Another one that was kind of weird to me was I don't really understand the Steelers strategy where adding Michael Pittman, another, like, bigger guy, you know, possession, receiver, back show. Unless the strategy is literally, we're going to build every receiver for Aaron Rodgers to be able to throw back shoulder passes along the Sidelines and over the middle like. And he won't throw any interceptions. What, what are the Steelers doing?
C
I, I wish I could tell you. Trying to sell season tickets. That's, that's, that's kind of been my. Because they hiring my hiring Mike McCarthy and just automatically going like, yeah, we're the only Aaron Rogers team essentially. We'd love to have him back. And Rogers. Last year, the thing that was, I would say frustrating when watching them is that the offense wasn't awful last year. The run game was pretty good. The young offensive lines decent in. In Pittsburgh, like Zack Frazier, the center is very good. And they got some other talent up there, McCormick and Fotno. But they had no receiver too, which you felt. But that's also like why I pay Aaron Rodgers. Right. Is because you're supposed to make this all better. And I thought so many times it was frustrating. Like he pushed the ball, like didn't push the ball at all. Like he was throwing short of the sticks at one of the highest rates on record. I think it was like him and the one year Alex Smith was with the commanders like that, that's like way short of the first down market. He was checking everything down, throwing underneath or throwing go balls. And that's not going to lead to a lot of sustained success. So if you're going to have a quarterback do that, you need guys that can break tackles. Pittman I like, but not. He's not a tackle breaker.
A
Right.
C
Like you say, he's a back shoulder guy. So like I understand a trade. They need a receiver too. And I, I understand why they maybe went for a guy that was on the market like Pittman because of the pure stuff with the Colts and everything. But I thought they need a little more juice because they need guys that can take stuff that's a two yard gain and take it 20. The back shoulder living. It's like just kind of a hat on a hat.
A
Yeah.
C
With this team.
A
Yeah. I, I saw someone tweeted perfectly. They're like, if Aaron Rodgers comes back. The Steelers have basically built like the perfect like turkey Thanksgiving day, like pickup game offense. Yeah. Where it's just.
C
Well, takes a dog.
A
No one gets separation. But that's okay. And you know. Yeah, we'll just, we'll just throw it back shoulder and just kind of muck it down the field. Yeah. I don't, I don't really understand that one. But it, it is what it is. Do you think Alec Pierce. I, I, I think he's awesome. People were like, oh, that's a lot of money. I think he. You tell me if I'm wrong but like I always saw him as a guy who played a role for the Colts because there was a Michael Pittman there where now he'll do more for the Colts and just be the go deep and you know, go ball guy.
C
Yeah. And he was always been the go ball guy. It's now why he had so much success last year is because he added to his game. Right. Like he, his routes are getting a little cleaner. He's always going to be kind of. He's never going to be a high end route runner because of just some of his physical limitations. Like he's a little stiff hipped but he is like he's added to his game. He comes down with the ball and explosive plays are the name of the game. And that's why he. It's not only just his catches, it's his gravity. You know, that's what, that's why you pay a guy like that is because every snap the defense has to honor him. The defense has to make sure they have somebody over the top. The safeties can't play low because at any time the safeties have to worry about him running 40 yards down the field. So that's like why he is like speed's always going to be at a premium. But when you see like last year, guys like Tutu ATWELL Getting like $11 million, like Alec Pierce is twice the player of that so got twice the money. I, I do think that that's why it's rich. But that's the free agency market and he's kind of earned that. Right. But he's added to his game. I think ideally he's a high end too for you. But what the culture trying to do is that we have Warren, we have downs who do their best work underneath and in the intermediate areas. And if you had another guy like say Pierce wasn't there, it's just Pittman that's going to make a very tight offense. Like everything's just going to be tight. But now you have Pierce out there. Defenses will run softer coverages because they have to have a safety over the top. It's the Randy Moss effect. I, I know, I'm not comparing Alec Pierce to Randy Moss.
A
Right.
C
But that's what, that's what speedsters do. We have to run cover two otherwise he's going to burn us. Well, what cover two does, then we can run on it.
B
Yeah.
C
And they have Jonathan Taylor. So it's that the trickle down of Alec Pierce is worth the money that they paid him because even if he's only a thousand yard receiver on 50 catches, doesn't matter because what he does for everybody else is like worth the money.
A
Yeah.
B
What do you think about the, the quarterback market? About Malik Willis to the Dolphins.
C
Yeah.
B
Tua to the Falcons and then the big one, that's still out there. Kyler Murray, we don't know where he's going to go, but it's gonna be very interesting wherever he ends up. But what do you think about what's happened so far with those two Malik?
D
Kind of.
C
It made me feel a little bit better that I read the signs. Right the, right. The, the former packers coach and the former packers gm. Go, go there. And they signed the former Packer. And I was like, okay, good. That's what it like the Cardinals were sniffing around. I was like why are you sniffing around? Like, you guys should be the tank commanders this season. I actually do like some of the sneaky signs for the Cardinals, but they should be watching a lot of Texas film. New the jets in Arizona should be watching a lot of Texas film this year.
B
The, the Cardinals truly love Jacoby Brissette. I think they're confident as their quarterback.
A
Yes.
C
You know Garner Mitchell, he's going to lead him to lead him to success. No, but with Malik Willis it's. That's exactly what could. I figured it's like you know, kind of the Darnold contract, we got Seattle maybe a tick lower. It's really a two year deal. They're guaranteed through two years. It's a tryout. I, I would rather they kind of embrace the tank. Maybe trade for like Davis Mills or something because Bobby Sloke is the coach there, the OC there from the Texans. But I get this kind of dart throw. Hey, if we get more out of it, he's a very exciting player and, and he's got a lot of tools. He's supposed to be a great dude as well. Maybe you get something out of it. But I think it's a, it's an expensive experiment where they might just get caught in the middle because he'd be competent enough. But I think that's a fair contract. That's kind of like the lower middle class contract which is kind of was non existent a few years ago. It's kind of coming back for quarterbacks because before it was just like pay 2 of 48. Okay, who's next? Paid. Okay, pay him 49. Like there's just one more than the last guy. But the rest of the guys like, I'm more interested. Well, Kyler going to the. Seems like stars are aligning with him in Minnesota, which I actually think is a better stylistic fit than people think because KOC likes guys that can launch it. That's what Kyler does best. And he can do some creation throwing on the move. Geno Smith is interesting. Now he's out there. Kirk Cousins is interesting. He's out there. Like those guys. I. I'm curious where their spots. If we assume, you know, the Rogers to the Steelers, Kyler maybe to the Vikings. I'm curious where those other guys kind of end up. Like, because now two are going to the Falcons. I actually thought Stefanski Cousins, maybe that they would kind of rekindle that relationship, but obviously it seems like that's done. But two are going there. It's. I think that's more of a. Hey, we don't want to like change it from a lefty quarterback to a righty quarterback, right?
A
Yeah.
C
Also if I could. If I could blend Pune, Penix and Tua together, that's a hell of a quarterback. Yeah, I like. It's a great quarterback. Yeah, I know, right? But it's kind of funny because they're center's lefty.
B
Yeah.
C
Bajan Robinson's lefty. Drake London's lefty.
A
Yeah.
C
They have a lot of lefties. A bunch of teams.
B
Yeah. A bunch of mutants down there.
C
Yeah, yeah, I know, I know the left horm down there.
B
No, it's good. That to me was. That was interesting because I feel like that is. And we said this about two in Miami. Like if you get a good roster around him, he can be a good quarterback. Now they've got like a good dynamic offensive roster in Atlanta and they also have the benefit of playing half their games indoors. So like this, it does feel like the perfect. If two is ever going to be good, this is the place to do it.
C
Yeah. And this offense is going to ask him to throw the routes that he's kind of comfortable throwing. Maybe not to the extent of what McDaniel is doing the Dolphins, because that was kind of a. A circus team. Like they're. They were their own thing, but as far as just some of the play action stuff, he's comfortable doing it. And that's what Stefanski does. I mean Bajan Robinson's the engine of that team and Stefanski is the same guy that rode Nick Chubb. So that's not going to change. But I do think that some of the play action stuff does fit two up maybe better than Pennix but because Panics is just not comfortable turning his back to the defense which kind of saw last year. That's what, you know, some of those play action stuff, that's what happens when you're under center in the Pistol 2 is a little bit more comfortable with that. But also I think this is a quiet tank a little bit for them. Yeah, I think this is a, this is a regroup year obviously. That's why you go for a tua just kind of like yeah, we don't, we don't care about feelings. Like we're just whatever. Just as long, as long as we can assess everybody else.
F
Right.
C
I'm more interested even just quarterback wise like the backups, the Tanner McKees of the world, Tyson Bagent of the world. Yep. Like if they have a market because I think Biki would be such an interesting name for teams or, or Beijing even too. So that's why I, I'm still keeping my eye on those guys. I think once the coward thing happens, then we're gonna see the trickle down with everybody else signing and whatnot.
A
I, I hate to make declarative statements during free agency, but I, I, the Rams are the best team in the NFC now. I think I know that's crazy. They only got, they got two guys but they, they literally needed like the, the, the weakness of their team last year was they had bad cornerbacks and they could never, they had to play zone all the time and got shredded in big moments. And then they go and get McD, trade for McDuffie and then sign Jaylen Watson. I'm like, well that's a wrap. They're the best team in, in the NFC. Is that crazy?
C
Yeah, no. While keeping their top 15 pick.
A
Right?
C
Yeah, no, I, I, I'm right there with you. That, that was, it was a credit to what Chris Shulo was doing, their defense coordinator, that he was getting the most out of Emanuel Forbes and, and I think Kobe Durant's actually a solid player. But I mean McDuffie and Watson are big upgrades. McDuffie is excellent.
B
Right.
C
I consider him kind of like either low end tier one or high end tier two corner that can play in the slot. He's super instinctive, he's very smart, he knows he's aggressive. Like the, also the defense that he ran in Kansas City translates great to what Shula does. So I go what Spags does in KC to what Shula does in la. Like as far as, like they do a lot of what they call palms, but they trap guys and that really takes advantage of the corner's eyes if they're very aggressive and the fact that he can play in the slot. They have so many guys that can play in the slot, which is, that's why they play so Many so much dime6DBs is because they have so many guys that are valid on the inside. So he's another weapon they can throw at offenses. I, I love that already. I understood why they paid him, why they trade for him. I thought that was a fair trade. But like, I just love that signing or trade. But then the Watson signing was one of those because I thought he was a nice kind of upper middle class free agent. Like he's a really good 2. The Chiefs fell off when he wasn't on the field and he goes, he goes. He just follows him to the Rams. And so everything I said about McDuffie being a scheme fit, all that stuff, it matches. It's perfect for that too. So I'm right there with you. And now they can do whatever they want with that first pick. And they're really interesting. Yeah, go tight end receiver, O line deep. Add another edge. Do you tag? Like they could do so much with that first pick. So yeah, I, I, they're my favorites in the MC as well right now.
B
Real quick, Nate, I, I wanted to ask you about something because we've never had you on the show before and I was going back, I was looking at your college stats from your time at Wisconsin. Do you have, is this the best stat line ever? Your college stat? Is this, is this true? You have one attempt rushing for 17 yards and a touchdown?
C
Yeah.
A
That's awesome.
C
Yeah. Celebrated with 17 drinks afterwards. And the do, do remote really remember much? No, that, yeah, that was a stat line. I'm the human victory cigar at Wisconsin. You know that I would come in when it was a blowout.
A
Yeah.
C
And then they ran a, what they call lonesome, which is a quarterback keeper. And it was a play that isn't supposed to have a lonesome on it because it was designed to get me smoked by like an edge rusher or something like coming off the edge. And we're playing Indiana. Not, not this iteration of Indiana.
A
Yeah.
C
10 Indiana. Yep. 83. Scoring 83 points on them. Indiana. So yeah, that's why I got dropped in there. And then the DN was just lazy and I just was able to scoop by him for, for a touchdown. But I was supposed to get, I was supposed to get depleted or clothesline or tombstoned or whatever wrestling move. You want to say that Was the plan.
A
That's awesome.
B
Did you have a touchdown celebration ready?
C
I did the J.J. watt shrug.
B
Okay.
C
When we were. You were teammates. But I don't think anyone realized what that was trying to do. I think everyone. I. I got whiplash too because my teammate Ryan Groy headbutted me so hard after I scored. So I might have been a little concussed
B
outline. They're like a perfect color. College stat line.
C
Yeah.
A
Yeah.
C
No passes.
A
Just.
C
Just around, baby. No. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, exactly.
A
Yeah.
C
You make all the shots you don't take. Yeah.
B
You have more touchdowns than incompletions. That's pretty impressive.
A
Yeah.
C
Thank you. I appreciate it. Yeah. No dual threat weapon. That's how everyone associated me with that 5240 I was running.
A
All right, so the. The reverse of the Rams Kenneth Walker going to the Chiefs. I not reverse, but you know, the two Chiefs players go to the Rams. I love this for the Chiefs. Is that crazy? I know you're not supposed to pay running backs and especially in free agency, but it's like the Chiefs have been. They have just not had any explosive dudes. Obviously Rashid Rice's. But like they, they, they just. It feels like Chiefs have not had pop to their offense for a while now. And now you got a guy who can actually run the ball.
C
Yeah. And this, they've needed this for like three years now. And it's. You know, Pacheco did a fine job, but Pacheco wasn't this. And whether it was etn, Travis ETN or Kenneth Walker, I was like they were in the market for both of those. And that was like I. For a lot of teams, I wouldn't maybe like this. But for the Chiefs, this is like. Yes, this is exactly what they need.
F
Right.
C
Like Walker, you know, some of his visions can be iffy, but he's so explosive. We saw it in the playoff run. He can just create something out of nothing. And with the Chiefs I've run into their offensive line is going to be good next year. And I think that it's kind of getting underrated how good the Chiefs offensive line is going to be.
D
And.
C
But they've been one of the most efficient run games, meaning. So they've been getting four yards, five yards. But Patrick Mahomes had more explosive scrambles last year, which is a gain of 10 or more yards or 12 or more yards than the running backs had gains of 12 or more yards last year. That's n. Patrick Mahomes list the mass last. Last what? Month and a half of the season?
A
Yeah.
C
Yeah. And this is two years running that they've done this where they've had like a top 10 efficient run game. So it's like they get a lot of singles. It's like an Ichiro run game and they just get no pop. And now they get a guy that can hit home runs and so Walker can be limited in protection, some detail stuff. But that's fine with the Chiefs because they don't need that. Other offenses maybe need a guy that has a little bit different kind of play style. So this is awesome. Like the, the Chiefs have gotten smaller and slower their skill guys over the last like five years and now they needed juice and they need size at like tight end and they need a little bit more at receiver too. They brought back Taekwond Thornton which I actually like because I liked his role with Mahomes. But I love this screens, big plays. This is like we can find the guy then get 4 or 5 yard plots. Now they get a guy that can take one to the house and I think he's gonna like earn that contract. You know he gets banged up too. He's always going to need a number two with him. That's why Charbonnet always got touches before he got hurt. But I love this for the Chiefs. I really did. Also they signed a defensive tackle. I really like Kyrus Tonga and I like that signing too. So yeah, the Chiefs actually had a solid day as far as not just Walker but Tonga and Thornton too is kind of the middle class signings as well.
B
Yeah, they just got Dawson Knox too. I think that just happened. Oh, just as we're taking which is nice because now we don't have to watch. Oh, sorry. Nope. That's the Bills. Bills. Bills agreed to a new contract.
A
That would make sense.
B
I, I, I got, I got fooled by an Adam Schefter notification that when I hit show more showed me the official. Now I'm bummed out because I'm sick of watching Dalton connect or Dawson Knox and Dalton connect. Now I'm Dalton.
A
I got you.
B
And getting confused. The DKS just caught a pass for third and 11.
C
So now that we get to do it 86 too. That doesn't help.
A
No, it's both. I mean this is my Rams tight end theory. I there was multiple times this year where I just bet all the white tight ends for the Rams to score because I was so sick of a white tight end scoring for the Rams looking up and being like oh, I don't have them. So I would just spray the board
C
just Take all four people celebrated that Blankenship is no longer with the Eagles because now we don't have the. Yeah, yeah. I have to worry about Cooper, DeJean and Blankenship wearing 32 and 33 and going even play. Other players confuse them. You see that clip, right? When someone went up to Reed, he's like, I know I'm not Coop. That's the other guy.
A
I, I, I do have another question. Question that vibes wise. Mike Evans going to the Niners, I don't think that's like, I love Mike Evans. I think he's an awesome, you know, he's a Hall of Fame receiver. He's awesome receiver, incredible career. He'll be good for the Niners. But to me it was more, damn, does he hate Todd Bowles. Is that fair?
C
Right?
A
Like, that's very bizarre to me. The Mike Evans who's played for the Bucks for that long, one jersey guy, like the money seemed the same and he's like, no, I don't want to do this anymore.
C
Well, it was the fact that he was like, oh, I want to play with I, I think a high end quarterback or a winning quarterback and I want to play with the team that wins if the team that just won all these divisions and everything. Yeah, there was something off there. The fact that he was like, no, I'm not going to take the whole like any hometown discount. I'm out, like, I'm going all the way across and but the fact that he stated reasons as opposed to just like, hey, I want to find a new spot. Right. You know, and, and the guy that is now battling, you know, he's been so durable, but he battled injuries last year. Going to the place that has the, you know, electrical substation everybody's worried about, you know, but we can't blame that, right? Yeah, no, but I, I do think that, that there's the fact that he said it in that way. He tried to be professional, but saying the statements that he did, like he could have just said nothing. So the fact that he said that is a message. A guy that's been kind of a warrior for this franchise, good and bad, I mean they went through some bad years in 2010s. So like I, it's, that's, it's indicative of something and I think that's the buck. The Bucks are an odd team.
A
Yeah. Is he going to be good for the Niners, you think?
C
I think went out there. Well, he's with Shanahan, so that's why I'm like, yeah, like but he's not going to be to the extent of what he was obviously in his prime. He's 33.
A
Yeah.
C
And come out an injury. But in that offense. Yeah. Like, Shanahan will find a way to use him. Great. Whether it's, I mean, with. Yeah. Like, I think he's just gonna be very effective. Maybe that two. What he was two years ago where he just broke a thousand. Something like that. And then he's got a good amount of touchdowns. That's the thing. Kyle Shan's really good in the red zone and Mike Evans is really good in the red zone. So, like, that's where you'll feel him kind of how devonte Adams was this year. Almost like a designated hitter. Right. You know, where it's like, you know, like certain games he showed up, but also in the red zone, boom, the ball's going his way. So I, with other teams, I wouldn't like this, but with Kyle Shanahan, he's always going to get the most out of his guys. And now he's got just a supremely talented guy, even if the guy's waning. It's kind of the I, I kind of rambling here, but it's the I, I learned this from a basketball guy. He's with. He's with the Nuggets, but he was saying it's the Vince Carter theory where a guy that starts as an excellent athlete, they actually age into good role players if they care about the game enough. And Evans seems like he does so. Same kind of thing where he ages into a good role player as opposed to, you know, a star. But I liked it.
A
Yeah.
B
Yeah. I thought that was an interesting one, too. I'm looking at your big board that you have here. You have. You've got Reuben Baines still at number four. Is that, is that a. A common take amongst the, the draft nicks that are putting together their, their big boards and their mocks or have. Are you an outlier and that you've kept him up there even though he's got the gummy bear arms.
C
I know. I don't know. And I'm all about length. Like, I'm, I am a guy that I, I like tools and traits, and I usually defer to tools and traits. That's what the NFL is all about. But I also, I care about a guy that defends the run, and that's why I think I have Bane just stacked up a little bit higher than, than David Bailey, who David Bailey is going to be a force as a pass rusher. I just have questions about how he defends the run. And if you're taking a guy in the top 10, I, I think Bane has a capped ceiling, but I do like him. I think he's gonna end up just being a good pro. Almost like it's weird. Almost a safer bet. Like I've compared him to Brandon Graham where that's where I think he's very similar stylistically and built build wise. But again, Brandon Graham I think was only like a one time All Pro. You know, it wasn't this guy that was going there every single year, but just a good pro. So I think that's why I've just kind of deferred to Bayness, because all right, he's tenacious, he can be an effective pass rusher. I think he's going to end up being like a six to eight sack guy. But the fact that he's going to be a good run defender as well that can kick inside, that's just, to me it just. There's a lot of good there, even if there's not a lot of overwhelming or a lot of great with his arms or some of the twitchiness stuff and everything associated with that. But this is what this draft class is though. It's. And I think I even said that in my write up is that like he kind of epitomizes this class A player I really like, but maybe I don't love. And he has a blemish that kind of has you squinting just a little bit. But that's just the entire draft classes like this.
A
Yeah.
B
Yeah. Is there a, is there another quarterback that you have that could be a first round guy? Because we've heard like Ty Simpson has been like. People have been talking about Ty Simpson a lot. I saw that you had Nuss Meyer at 38. Is there another guy that you think could slide in that first round?
C
Those are the two if there were going to be. One is Simpson and Nussmeier. I've been squinting and trying to find others, but I think that, that they only can get so high. You know, Taylor Green had a great, great, great, great combine and I was already interested in him as a day three guy. You know, he reminds me a lot of Randall Cunningham. It's just that he has some accuracy stuff underneath, but he has some games like the Texas A and M game is really positive for as far as processing, as far as decision making on top of all the tools they can bring as a runner and a thrower. But he's like. But again, that's Day three. I can only get so high with a true project like that or a quasi project. But I think it's Nussm and Simpson are the only ones that can kind of maybe get to that first round. You never know. But I will say that, that that's just how like I think even guys that we know of, you know, Carson, Beck, that's a clear day three guy to me. I'm getting more interested in guys from like North Dakota State or, or Jack Strand from Minnesota. Morehead. Like the. I'm like trying to Jalen Daniels from Kansas. Like I'm trying to find more maybe interesting day three guys than maybe over if I were a team than overreaching for these other guys. That to me are clear. Like, like I say day three guys as opposed to round three or round two that can maybe sneak up. And to me that's only Nuss Meyer and, and Simpson at this point in time.
A
I got a question about the Bears. I, I love the Kobe Bryant signing Devin Bush as well. Is this, is this a lot of Dennis Allen like, like getting the guys that he needs to run his defense and, and how do you like, what did you think about their first day? Because I. They don't have a ton of cash left, so it's probably going to be about this and then trying to fill a lot more holes in the draft.
C
Yeah, I mean they needed safety with both of the safeties coming free and Brian fits their defense perfectly because Mike McDonald and what they did in Seattle, it's kind of hard where, you know, whatever team wins, everyone's like, oh, this is the new trend. Everybody's going to copy this. It's kind of hard to copy Mike McDonald who's just a incredible coach and runs everything. I always call it a kaleidoscope scheme that he just runs everything and he just coaches it really well that week. And. But why that's a good thing with Bryant is that as a safety they safeties have to be the smartest guys. Now where we used to think of, you know, Mike, linebackers still have to be it. But a lot of that operation pre snap has shifted back to safeties. We see more safeties with the green dot that get the play calls now because of that, because they're on the back end. Everything's top down now with all this quarters coverages. So I'm bringing this all up because Dennis Allen is a very creative defensive coordinator. You see it a lot on passing downs, like third down, but also, you know, down to down. He can kind of do Some funk. You know, he's got some stuff to his defensive calls. Why you need to operate that to execute that. You need smart safeties, and that's what Brian is. And a twitchy safety, he's got range as well. So if you're having a guy on the line of scrimmage that has to run all the way back, you need a guy with some speed, and he has that as a converted corner. I would say he's a willing tackler as opposed to maybe a very sound one. Some Seahawks fans got really mad that I said he was a sound tackler. It's okay. Willing tackler. I'm so sorry.
B
Okay.
C
But I do think that I love that signing. Like, I, I really did. I, I thought the price was fair. I think he was the best safety on the market once, especially with Cam Curl was gone. I, I just love that fit. I'm curious how they address the draft. I really think they need defensive beef up front to, to help Allen needs. He likes size and he likes guys. You, this type of defense needs guys along the spine. So you need defensive tackles, need linebackers that can blitz, and then you need safeties that can blitz and do everything. Everything has to come along the spine. And so now you see where they sign linebacker and safety and they've, they take defensive tackle in the draft or something in defensive tackle. And they sign a defensive tackle as well, right?
A
Yeah, they went literally defensive tackle, linebacker, safety. Is their three signings on defense that
C
it's, that's what they have to address. And that's what this defensive system needs, is. Yeah. Guys along the spine.
A
Okay.
B
What do you think about Adafe away to the Commanders? It seems like a huge contract. Whenever I see $100 million in the commanders and 68 that I just, I think about Albert Haynesworth worth it. You know, it's, it's, it's the Pavlov reaction or whatever. I'm like, that's okay. It can't be as bad as that, at least. But he seems like a guy that, you know, second half of the season last year was very productive. Had some great years or some, some solid years on the Ravens as well, leading up to that half season with the Chargers. Is he more of what we've seen before or is this like, you know, a red flag almost, because it's like contract year and then he just jumped off the page at you.
C
Well, I wish I could have a straight answer because I, I, when I watched him with the Chargers, he was kind of a different player. And even next Gen Stats had a great stat on it. He had the six highest pressure rate once he joined the Chargers in week six in the entire NFL. And you know that's something guys with Miles Garrett and all that. I will say though that's with Jesse Mentor coaching him and that's with Jesse Mentor dialing up plays that led to some unblocked pressures, led to some creative looks for him where he took advantage of him. He did play like a guy in his contract year. And I mean that's a positive but also mean that as a. So it's what you want to argue for. It's a pretty again, it's a pretty penny. That's a lot of money to throw at him. But he's got traits. He tries hard. Which is also when you want to pay a guy, you want to make sure that they have the. The you don't want them to be like Haynes Worth.
B
Yeah.
C
Pay him. And all of a sudden he's laying down literally on a snap. But I do think that it's like you are paying a premium because of just like he has a market for a reason because he's young. He has some production to point to. The 10 sack year is a little fake. I think what he did with the Chargers is the most real. But is it Jesse Minter in that defense or is it hey now the stock's going up and something clicked probably somewhere in between. But they needed to do that. They need again this is now hopefully with Doran Armstrong coming back because I did think he was looking really good last year. Hurt. Yeah. Now again in the draft you open up pass now you can kind of oh, we don't have to draft an edge because that's what everyone's been mocking right. To to the commanders is like David Bailey or Bain or Keldrick Falk or somebody that's there now you can kind of open up the pass for the draft. So I do like that. Even if, even if it is a lot of money, I will say why did they let go of Tower Biotish? That is more than anything with the commanders. That is the one thing I'm not understanding. Even if he's not an amazing center. Yeah. Is that what's their plan now?
A
I don't know.
C
They just kind of created a new gap for themselves and then Bianish got a race.
A
Yeah. The center is crazy, right?
C
Crazy.
A
Yeah. Yeah.
C
So that. That's the commander. Is everything like the OA one I'm fine with because it's like I if you're gonna bet On a guy, at least there's more to tap into here. He's not maxed out. That's how I think of oa. Yeah, but, like, why. Why they move on from Biatish? Like, that's where it just seems like, yeah, I don't know.
A
One.
C
One step backwards, one step forward kind of thing. For. For the Commanders, they. They had a weird kind of couple days.
B
I also feel. I feel better about Away because knowing that he was drafted by the Ravens, they're a very good team when it comes to drafting players, so I. I put like, some stock of that. I'm like, okay, well, then he's got. He's a good guy. He's got a good motor. He cares about the game. He's smart. The Ravens already did that homework for me. But, yeah, $68 million is. That's a lot of money. I had one more question about the draft for you. So I know that you have. You have Love ranked pretty high, right? Did you have a number three overall on the big board? Okay, so how does he compare to running backs that we've seen in the last few years, like Bijan, Robinson, Gibbs, and Genti coming out? How does he stack up with those coming out?
C
He's. I. I have him over Gibbs. He's bigger than Gibbs. I really like Bajan coming out, so I probably have Bajan slightly higher, but he's up there. From guys I've watched, I've been struggling to find a real good comparison for him. I've seen the Reggie Bush one, but Reggie was a little bit more fluid. But I get the skill set, and. And I don't want to be, like, total hipster and try and think some 80s and 70s guys. Like, there's a little. If you remember the guy, David Johnson for the Cardinals, there's a little running style like that. He's a better version of that. Maybe not as big. Oh, so there's one guy he runs like. But I don't obviously get clip. He runs like O.J. simpson.
A
Okay.
C
So it's like, you know, as far as we're running.
A
Football player.
C
The football player.
A
Football player. OJ Sims.
B
On the field.
A
Yes. Yes. On the field only.
C
And yes. And he can catch the ball better than that. But anyways, okay, this is the show.
A
You can say that you could just.
C
Yeah, my brain just hit a wall about three times before that thought got out.
B
Yeah, no, he's got. He's got a lot of, like.
C
Can't wait to see that. Can't wait to see that clip. No, you're good, you're good. No, but Jeremiah Love though, it's like, and I think you see that's why running backs are getting paid and running backs are getting drafted is because if you're going to give a guy 20, 25 touches, like they better be valid. And if defenses are daring us to run the ball, let's have a guy that like Kenneth Walker just got paid 15 million. Let's have a guy that could take a five yard gain 50. And Jeremiah love can do that. And the other thing, this is why maybe I had Gibbs a half step, half tier below these other guys is he was terrible in past protection when he entered the NFL. Now he's pretty good at it. Is that Love can stay on the field every down. So it's the girly thing, it's the Zeke thing, is that they don't have to come off the field, you know, touches and everything. But scheme wise and, and play call wise and play design wise, there's no limitations. So I think that's where I, I really, that's why I think I have them so high. Not think that's why I have him so high is because of that. Is because he has that every down skill set and he can take the ball to the house and that, that to me is just like, that's valuable. I don't know what his draft range is, especially after like the Chiefs paid for a guy. I think it's really more interesting what his range will actually end up being. But he's a guy that I'm very comfortable taking the top 10, especially in this draft class that has so many blemishes.
A
Yeah.
C
Yeah.
B
It's like his, his blemish is that he's a running back.
A
That's it. Yeah.
B
Yeah.
A
It's weird though. Yesterday didn't really go his way in terms of some of the landing spots. Could be interesting where he falls to now because like obviously the Raiders are not going to take him. The jets, you know, are keeping Bree hall, the, the Cardinals, Tyler Algier, you know, but there's a lot of teams like the, the Kenneth Walker to the Chiefs, the Etienne to the Saints. It's weird. I don't really know where he's going to end up going now.
C
Yeah. And I see the titans rumors at 4, but I'm like Tennessee, you guys got so much you need to be addressing, but who knows? That's what I'm seeing. Like, but like Cincinnati's got Chase Brown, Devon H. Hands with the Dolphins. Javante Williams just got resigned by the Cowboys, you're just going one by one. The Rams, maybe they want girly part two, but they kind of. They have Kyron Williams. But that's the thing that could be interesting. Like, the Raiders just went Genti, you know, the, The Bucks, but they just signed Kenneth Gainwell and. And who knows what's going on with Bucky Irving. Like, they're a landing spot potentially. You never know what the Bucks are going to do. Like you said, the jets, the Lions, the Vikings, maybe. But the Vikings have a bunch of holes. Yeah. You know, so it's like they're. His drink. His range is very interesting. And it's like someone gonna trade up for him, you know, like somebody in the 20s gets giddy and moves up for him like that. It's. I'm very interested where he ends up. But having said that, like, I, I like him a little better than Genti because I thought Genti took so much contact that it was like I was a little hesitant about how his career ends up, but I really liked him. Obviously I thought he was a guy that was again, valid to go in the lottery, but I, I just think Love's got just a little bit more to him even that than that. So. Just very curious where his range goes.
B
Yeah. After you get. Get away from Mendoza. To me at least it feels like the two guys that are. That are slotted like in the top 10, that are the most complete players would be Love and then Caleb Downs, two guys that are like the, the big downside to these guys is the position that they play.
C
Yeah.
B
Should we spend a top 10 pick on a safety even though he's Clearly a top 10 talent?
C
Yeah, I, I think so. In this class. Yes. And every other classes that have more loaded talent, maybe not, but in this class, yes. Because I'd much rather have. Especially with downs and, and. And we just shoot. We're just talking about. With Kobe Bryant going to the Bears, if he's in the right. The hands of the right defensive coordinator, he can do what like a center does on offense, like just calm everyone else down, kind of get everyone lined up and it's kind of. He's kind of his own thing, but there's more safeties playing like this. He has a lot of Buddha Baker to his game and his usage, where they kind of do this rover where it's a. It's. It's hard to describe, but it's in between the linebackers and the safeties, essentially. It's. And then he kind of old school. They used to Call it a monster back which is signed Seaball get ball but they like he lets because why they do that is you're letting him use his football IQ to read the game out and close. And more safeties are getting used this like even Dylan Tmanan Tinaman from Oregon gets used this way a little bit as well. It's a good safety class. Emmanuel McNeil from Toledo is very exciting. It's got some Cam Chancellor to him. But I do think that with with Caleb Downs is that he can again provide that kind of boost effect for everybody else. He just has to get in the hands of the right guy. But I do think he has some positional versatility or scheme versatility like if it's a quarter safety or a quarter's defense or something like that. But again in this draft class I would much rather have that kind of what I consider quote unquote safer. I can envision how this guy's going to play for me as opposed depends on what team you are. But as opposed to maybe like Keldrick Falk who I really like. But it's like hey, that's projection. Yeah, you know that's, that's a lot of like hey, hopefully this works or you know, I probably deferred offensive lineman more but there's some offensive lineman more project type of guys. So I think the sure thing of him is has some appeal in this type of draft class.
A
Okay, Nate, I got one last question. It's been awesome. You're a recurring guest now. We love talking football with you. So we're definitely going to do it again. Roback question. Make you smarter, better than idiots like us. My last question, would you. Would you sign Trey Hendrickson in for how much?
C
Yes, but not as much I think he's asking for because again, it feels
A
like he's kind of not overplayed his hand because obviously everything, you know, last year, little bit though. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
C
Because again, age. If you see who's getting paid right now, younger guys. You know, obviously you want to get guys before they're 30, which every year I get older than 30.
A
I'm.
C
I'm like, oh man, this hurts. But I do think too is he has some limitations. He's an excellent pass rusher. Like no one ever doubts that is that he's a weakness against the run. So it's not just like, I'm trading for Khalil Mack or I'm paying that or freaking Reggie White, you know, guys that are just dominant every snap. Hendrickson is a specific player. You know, he has to be used in certain ways and has to be kind of hidden at some time. So he's more of a. A luxury signing.
A
Right.
C
I think for a team. So it has to be a team that already has what I think is a good defensive structure that can maybe hold up against the run as opposed to like, like the Cowboys going after him. I would be. I'd laugh. I don't think they will because I don't think they have the money, but I laugh because, I mean, you said you guys are trying to get better against the run, right? And. And then you go with that. So I think it's more of a luxury signing for somebody as opposed to like, we have to get them break everything. Oh, my God. We have to get this guy because every single down. So it's kind of like a super. Yeah, like I say, super luxury. It's like having a really good three point shooter and it's just like, yeah, yeah, he's really good to have, but I don't know how he plays on defense all the time. You know, there's some limitations to, like, his skill set and everything. So, yeah, I think he's asking for a little too much for what his kind of archetype is. Even if he is a very good
B
player, where would you like to see him go? Like, where would his talents be maxed out?
C
Oh, my goodness, man. Actually, the. The Rams.
A
Yeah.
B
As a fan of ball. Yeah.
C
No, but they. They can't afford that. You know, like, the Chargers would be interesting, something like that. Like, you know, like, if they just want to, like, put them over the top with a guy that can win on the pass rush, they need some defensive help. I mean, the 49ers would be interesting. You know, those tiny teams that are like, get like upper middle class teams that maybe get over the top for the contendership as opposed to maybe a middle class team. Yeah, I have to TBD on my answer on this because now I'm actually kind of marinating on it. The Jaguars.
A
Yeah, yeah.
C
Like, the Jaguars put. Put them over the top. Like those type of teams that, like, they're trying to make that last move. I prefer he goes to an AFC team because I think the AFC is so wide open. Like, it's incredibly wide open. And. And So I understand teams that maybe are going to get aggressive this offseason so that maybe speak to aggression.
A
Yeah. All right. Well, Nate, thank you so much. We appreciate it, man. You gave us a lot to think about. And I, I like we're. We're not the smartest football guys. We love talking to smart football guys. So everyone go subscribe to Football 301 and thanks so much, Nate.
C
Thanks for having me. Great to see you guys.

A
Okay, we finished with guys on chicks. Hank, you mad at you mad at memes right now?
D
No, I just noticing. Hashtag noticing.
A
What was the noticing?
B
What he's wearing.
A
What's he wearing?
D
He's asking for it. That's all I'm saying.
A
What's he wearing?
B
That skirt.
A
Oh, we can't see it from over here.
C
When you.
D
When a guy's dressed like that, he's asking for it.
A
What is he wearing?
F
Max, he would be wearing a Super Bowl LX champion Seahawks hat.
A
Oh, it was just put on your desk. Memes.
E
Yeah, we just put on my desk. So shout out whoever put it on.
B
That is a cool, cool looking hat. What super bowl was that though? What's LX60?
A
60.
B
Yeah.
C
Yeah.
B
Who played in that one?
E
Seahawks and the Patriots.
A
Memes. What, did you ask someone to put that on your desk?
E
No, I. People just know I'm a hat guy. They're probably just looking out.
B
Just any hat, any stray hat that's laying around. Memes of choice.
A
Hats. Okay.
B
Give it a good home.
A
Are you taking that personal?
B
I'm just.
D
I'm just noticing, that's all.
A
You're noticing? Yeah, you're in the. Noticing.
B
Filing it into the. Into the bank.
A
Okay. All right, guys.
D
On checks this weekend, my fiance and I were at company party for my work where they had laser tag. During the first 15 seconds of laser tag, my fiance ran into one of my co workers and chipped three of her teeth out after going to the ER that night. In a specialty dentist the following day, she needs to get three stitches. A metal bar across both of the top and bottom row of teeth to straighten them. Needs three root canals as well as three permanent crowns that she'll have to wear. Do you think she would have avoided this if she would have gotten lower or dropped a shoulder? I know she would love to get your guys input. She listens to every episode of this podcast and we'll definitely hear this.
B
That's tough.
A
That's really tough.
B
That's. It depends on what her job is. But I would guess that it's a pretty big inconvenience for her to have three teeth missing at once.
A
Is she Irish? She has soft teeth.
B
Is that a thing? Yeah, the Irish have soft teeth.
A
Yeah, I think the Irish and English have soft teeth.
D
Explains what that means. My teeth issues, I think.
B
Yeah, the Irish teeth.
C
She looks Irish.
B
Not a lot of calcium.
A
Soft teeth in the Irish context, historically. Historically refers to a 19th century stereotype about poor oral health due to diet. Okay.
B
So I'm.
A
I'm just rocking stereotypes from hundreds of years.
B
Some old school race.
A
Yeah.
B
Ah, me teeth.
A
Ah, no, I.
B
Listen, I think that this is going to be. It's gonna be a tough, tough recovery for. It's gonna be a very tough recovery for your boyfriend.
A
Oh, no. She's got the Jack Hughes going. That's brutal.
B
Let's see here.
A
I feel bad for.
B
I mean, yeah, you just gotta go to as many hockey games as you can because hockey fans will appreciate that mouth right now. They'll Be like, yeah, you're one of us. Tough chick.
A
Here's. Okay, this isn't gonna help, but here's what I'll say is, why were you playing laser tag as an adult? Laser tag sucks.
B
Wait, no.
A
Yes. No.
B
Laser tag kicks ass. We're gonna have to agree to disagree.
D
Gotcha.
A
That's not laser tag.
B
Paintball.
A
That paintball rocks.
C
Same thing.
A
No, it's not.
B
Good laser.
A
That's my point.
B
Good laser.
D
What's the difference?
A
Rocks. Laser tag. I swear to God. Laser tag, I've done this right before. But laser tag, when it first came out, whatever it was 25 years ago, it was the sport of the future. It was supposed to be awesome. I have not played laser tag in, like, good late. You say good laser tag. Pft. Where is there good laser tag?
B
I'll find you good.
A
Every laser tag, the guns don't work. You hit someone and it doesn't register. Sounds like a you problem so much.
D
Sounds like you might suck at laser tag.
B
It sounds like one of two things. One, big cat goes to some broke ass.
A
When have you guys last played laser tag?
B
Two, he's not very good at laser tag, and he gets frustrated.
A
Answer the question.
B
He gets shot and he's like, oh, it sucks.
A
Answer the question. Because I guarantee you, I played more laser tag in the last five years than any of you guys here. So when's the last time you played laser tag?
B
Last time.
F
Laser tag is a game for children.
B
Thank you.
A
Thank you, Max. It's a children's game, and baseball is a man's game. So as an adult, you should not be playing. I'm not. Listen, kids playing laser tag, go have fun. You run around. That's great. If you're an adult playing laser tag, I'm not saying you deserve to get injured, but think about what happens when you do get injured. And then you have to tell everyone.
D
Our office during laser office of games for children.
A
Where is the laser tag?
C
Well, we.
B
We should get some. We should get some good laser tags, and we should turn all the lights off one night and set up, like, an obstacle course.
F
You know, that sounds kind of sick.
A
Good laser tag sound like White Sox Dave right now.
B
And we're doing.
A
You want to be in his camp?
B
What? Whiteside sounds like he's a good draft.
A
It is snake draft of if you had, like, a dream house, what would you put in it? And his first pick was a laser tag room. And it was like, dude, how often do you play laser tag? And then I offered. This is like A year ago, I offered him free laser tag for life. I will pay for every laser tag game he plays for the rest of his life. He has yet to play because it's not a game for adults.
B
I'm just saying if we set it up right, it would be good. I'm sorry that White Sox Dave said it, but like White Sox Dave also eats lunch every day. Does that. Do you have a problem with eating lunch?
A
I'm just saying. You, you don't. You've played laser tag once or twice as an adult and you have a nostalgia factor, which I get. Nostalgia is a strong drug. Laser tag is adult sucks.
F
If you had our office, it would
B
be in our office.
F
I'm on your side. Sure. Yeah, in our office. I think it would be cool if
A
we did like, you know, it would be awesome. Paintball in our office.
F
Yeah, but then that gets all messy.
A
Who cares?
B
Messy crying. Somebody gets exactly cleaning up. A girl gets hit in the mouth. She breaks three teeth. She complains about it.
D
How about just real search and destroy?
A
Great.
B
What's that like?
A
Yeah.
D
Call of Duty building.
B
Like real guns.
A
He's talking about the.
D
And bombs.
A
The most dangerous game.
C
Yeah.
B
Real guns.
A
Yeah. He's talking about war. Yeah. I just think that anyone, any adult who says they love laser tag has not played laser tag in a long ass time.
B
I've not. I've not. But there's, there's good laser tag places. There's bad laser tag places.
A
There's a lot more bad, I think.
B
But the question, the answer is like, they're at a corporate.
D
They're at a corporate company party.
A
Yeah. Just don't, don't play the laser tag, Zach.
D
You would, you would play the laser tag.
A
I've played laser tag. It sucks. I do it with my son because it's like, oh, yeah. We come in and it's like, this fucking sucks. If you were at a corporate party,
B
I think big cat gets shot by
D
when they had laser.
B
Laser tag. And he's like, this game.
G
I was gonna say it's laser tag. Just hasn't broken containment. Like, I know you might not be in the laser tag when you're playing with your son, but if you get some adult comp and it's like.
A
And you break your teeth, tell everyone you broke your teeth playing laser tag.
G
That's any sport, man.
A
Body on the line. The technology just never progressed with laser tag. I wanted it to be better.
B
I, I have a very clear understanding of what happened. Big cat goes to play laser tag and there's got a target on your back. There's like a dozen six year olds that team up like. Like they're SEAL team six.
A
But I.
B
And he's Osama bin Laden and they plot out ways to get him. And big Cat's like, I'm not having fun.
A
But I had this take before my
B
kid taking me down.
A
I thought laser tag. Every time I played laser tag, it's like this technology just never got that much better. It didn't.
D
I don't even know the last time I played.
B
But I.
A
It.
D
If we what I remember it was awesome.
B
If we equipment great time to play.
A
It doesn't.
B
100%. It would be top of the line
A
laser tag equipment does not exist in laser. Like, dude. It exists, but not in like 90% of the laser tag places.
B
That's why we're getting it here.
A
But you're. You're saying like, hey, if you guys
D
feel like the seal probably you guys are saying.
C
I would like.
A
What you guys are saying is if you got the perfect version of this, it would be awesome. Yeah. No.
B
Yeah. I would like to go ahead and. And sponsor the barstool sports office for a set of top of the line laser tag.
A
You're not. You're gonna play like one time.
B
No, I'm talking about. I'm talking about like the best you can find out there. Go find if you are a laser tag. Like, I want the. The arms dealer, but you need the arms dealer.
A
The obstacles and then. And then people.
B
Yeah.
A
They don't get in the game and the scoring makes no sense.
B
We'll get the obstacles. We're gonna get a sweet setup.
A
It's also the problem with laser tag
B
is I need you to. I need you to not poo poo it until you try it though, because right now you're poisoning people's minds before we get no game one.
A
I'm giving my opinion. I can't give my opinion.
D
It will be impossible to film.
A
Correct.
B
Why?
F
I don't think I. I actually disagree.
A
You ever seen lazy cops laser tag? Laser tag. It sounds cooler than it is.
B
Everybody gets. Everybody gets body cams.
A
Sucks.
F
Yeah, we felt the paintball video. That was a great video.
A
Paintball is awesome.
B
I mean paintball.
A
No, because paintball, when you hit someone get hurt. One of them. You don't got to hit someone.
B
Yeah, it hurts.
A
And you know you hit them.
B
Yeah.
A
Laser tag.
F
You still know you got hit.
A
Not really. Yeah, the system's always messed.
F
Also the one time like there's. There's more discrepancy in paintball that.
A
Well, that's just people cheating. Blatantly cheating. Gotcha.
F
There was. There. There was the biggest fight of all time.
A
Billy didn't. Billy refused to admit when he got hit. Who could have seen that coming? Jake.
B
Jake didn't cheat. He did get Hank.
C
No, no, no, Billy, no.
D
He said. I said surrender.
A
He said surrender. Okay, we're gonna have to put in some clips. Yeah, you gotta put it.
B
Zach, I would like to. To maybe take this on as your project find. Find me top of the line laser tag equipment. I'm talking this, that. Like that the Navy uses to train their boys.
G
You trying to run a duos, trios or quads? How many sets?
B
Let's give. Let's get some options, okay?
G
Yes, sir.
B
Let's get some. Some options. And then we're going to also figure out an outfit. We're going to design a course, and I think. I think it could make a good video because laser tag done properly kicks ass.
A
I agree.
G
It could be all time.
B
Okay. Look at that. Look at. Look at this equipment.
A
Two seconds. Probably gonna try to shoot someone.
B
Look at those dudes. Time.
D
Ever worse than the mats.
B
No, these are. These are kids.
D
Can I take a glow mats?
B
This is a kid's laser tag, dude.
A
The mats are. The mats are paying for their bucks.
D
I got. I got a mask from DraftKings. One of the red masks.
A
Oh, nice.
B
Laser tag for adult sacks. Oh, look at that.
A
It's called paintball and it's awesome. Battle rifle, paintball or airsoft. Also awesome.
G
Airsoft could be. Could trump paintball.
A
Airsoft is sick. Anything that hurts a little bit is awesome.
G
I think it hurts just enough, but not correct. Paintball.
A
Correct.
B
I think laser tag is like TGL for paintball. Yeah. Indoors all season.
A
Paintball's awesome.
B
It's a paintball simulator.
A
Okay, what's the next one? Either way, this woman has to tell everyone that she got hurt playing laser tag.
B
Also, it's not the end of the world because you got hurt at a work event. So you could probably get time off.
D
Hey, big boys. Minus Hank and memes parentheses. Yes. Pft. You're now a big boy.
B
I don't know. I don't. I don't think I like that.
D
My boyfriend won't go with me to dance lessons. He says he will only go once he proposes and. Or when I buy him a Rolex. I think he's popping the question this summer, but I sign us up for a couple's dance class anyway for next week. Is he Just stubborn, or am I in the wrong for making him go
B
to a dance class? Now is the idea going to a dance class for your first dance as a couple?
D
Isn't that always the idea?
B
Yeah, that. It sounds like you're. You're proposing to him by taking to this class.
A
You have a dance class.
D
Don't you have like seven?
A
Why do you have to take a dance?
F
I don't want to.
A
It's all a slow dance. The first dance is slow.
F
I also.
A
I took.
F
I bought like a class of five. Because you go to the first one, they're like, oh, one's not going to do anything. You gotta. You gotta get a class of five.
C
I've. I'm.
F
I'm in the second of my five class bundle that I bought. I remember zero from class one. So we're just gonna do the same song and dance. I'm. I'm gonna. I'm gonna spend a lot of money to just not know how to dance,
A
which you already don't know, which I don't know.
D
Learn how to dance also.
F
That's what. That's what
A
you're not.
D
Accomplish that.
F
I kind of agree.
A
What does it matter?
F
You don't want to look like an idiot. That's.
A
That's what I've been. No one's gonna tell. No one's gonna say you look like an idiot. It's your wedding, Hank.
F
Yeah, Hank might.
B
Have you thought about just doing like a. Like a dance dance? Not a slow dance. Like a choreographed dance between the two of you.
F
I go, I'm not doing. Choosing anything.
A
Yeah, but the first dance is no one even. Everyone's like, oh, shit. Nice. The open bars back open.
B
Yeah.
A
You know what I mean? Like dinner's. Dinner's done.
B
And if you. If you get like off speed, off tempo, just lean in and kiss each other, and then everyone's gonna be like you.
A
Or just say, everyone come to the dance floor. Dance for 15 seconds and be like, everyone come to the dance floor,
C
stupid.
F
I don't know what to tell you.
A
I always side with the guy here.
B
This lady sounds like she's doing a dance class. That's her.
D
Get him a Rolex.
B
That's her way, right?
A
Get him a fake Rolex. He won't know. Easy.
D
All right, last one. Why do you guys not ask each other personal slash intimate questions? When you hang out, you only ask about surface level and stuff. In sports, you don't talk about each other's wives and lives or how you've been feeling. You're Missing out on a whole part of life. And why do you always feel like you have to go it alone?
A
Damn, that's deep.
B
Very deep. Because it's easier.
A
I. I've said this before, but. So I went dinner with four of my closest friends on Friday night, and I do this trick now at the end of dinner, I'm just like, hey, give me. Give me a fact. Give me something about your wife, kids, work that I can bring back and report. So it seems like we had a deep conversation when the majority of the conversation was, like, Max Crosby to the Ravens. And I think that was about it.
B
The thing is, with guys, it's like, when we hang out with our friends, it's. That's what we have to get away from all the other stuff. So when you hang out with the boys, then you don't want to bring all the other stuff to the boys conversation.
D
It's also just not that deep.
C
I feel like.
D
Like, it's like you can, like, you just want to hang out with the BO boys and not, like, not get serious. I have friends I golf with that. Like, I don't even know what they do.
A
Yeah, it's better to not know what we hang out. Yeah.
D
Outside of go, but it's like, we're boys. That's my boy.
A
Also. Let's just. Let's just be totally honest here. A lot of the conversation with the boys is wildly inappropriate when you take it out of context with the boys. Like, there's shit that said that I wouldn't say around other people. So you can't just be bringing that outside the locker room. Them, like, that's the real truth is if you're golfing with your boys, 90 of that kid is not for air.
B
What'd you guys talk about?
A
Yeah, it's not for air.
D
Tits back in the day.
A
Yeah, dude, I. I love, like, first boobs. Some of my best friends in the whole world. Like, I could just sit and we just don't talk. It's awesome.
D
Unless you're like that. I feel like the deep conversations only come, like when you're. Someone's really drunk, and it's like the end of the night and then that. And then you're like, all right.
A
Oh, yeah, that's too much.
C
I think I gotta go to bed.
A
Yeah. You're like, I can't solve these problems.
B
It's either, like, super late at night inside a bathroom stall.
C
Yeah.
A
I'm happy. I'm. I'm sorry you're having these problems, but I gotta go to bed. Yeah, guys don't need to talk like that. It's actually the reverse is true too. Like, girls, you don't need to know everyone's business all the time. Gets a little much. How do you hold all the facts together?
D
Why do you care?
A
Why do you care?
D
Worry about yourself.
A
Women do have, like, they. I think it's just a. Something that will never make sense to the opposite gender of, like, I can have friends that, like, we just never get on a deep level, and they're my best friends and I die for them. And then women can have friends that they get on a deep level and they hate.
B
And then sometimes they'll be like, I think they get jealous because they want to know. They get upset that we don't know all the details about all the drama with our friends. That's where they want to get involved and just know about the drama. That's like a new channel that they can watch. It's like, oh, I haven't seen this show with the boys drama.
A
That's where my fact gathering comes into play.
B
Yeah.
A
I just get a little. A little one sheet of facts and I come back and I'll tell you what the hardest part about going out to, like, dinner with my friends is the drive home, trying to hold all the facts in my head until I get home and I can spit them all out.
B
Yeah.
A
Because I forget them almost instantly after that.
B
They want to know about the. About the boys drama so they can talk about the boys drama.
A
Yeah, I just, like, I'm sitting there, like, repeating it, making mnemonic devices for, like, where my friend works and what age his kid is. I come home, I just blurt it all out, like, oh, all right, we're done. Good. No follow ups. No follow up questions, please. Okay. Good show, boys.
B
Anything else, Hank?
A
Anything else? Nothing else.
B
How about that hat Memes is wearing?
F
He also just put on some. Some more clothes.
B
You put on more clothes? Memes? What kind of clothes? Fashion show.
E
Just a sweatshirt.
B
Can you give us a fashion show? Stand up.
A
Stretcher.
E
It's Seattle.
C
It.
B
Oh, wow, that's a cool. Yeah, Very cool shirt.
A
Oh, yeah, that's. Where's. Where are you getting this stuff?
E
Oh, we sell them in the barstool store.
B
Oh, Memes love sweatshirts.
D
Memes is basically Africa because no one buys that, so they just ship them to him.
B
Memes is Africa not racist. Memes is Africa.
F
That would be.
B
Yeah.
F
No, you're wrong.
B
That'd be New England.
F
That would be New England, Patriot, Super Bowl.
D
No, but no one buys Seattle stuff.
B
No, but Max is right.
D
Bad sports town with shitty fans.
B
Oh,
D
they didn't sell it.
B
You talking about the 12s?
C
Yeah, the.
B
Who's the twelves? You know, the 12s.
D
It's how many? Those shirts we sold.
B
Oh, that's good.
A
Hank, you're a funny guy. Hank, you're a funny guy.
B
Or Memes didn't buy it? Memes got donated. Exactly. I feel like today's memes is like winning Africa.
A
Someone's going to get it today.
B
Championship of Africa.
A
23.
B
I'm going to go with 50. 12.
A
56. 48.
C
89. 86.
A
Puna. Puna.
F
Shout out, Puna.
E
What about Cole Strange?
B
Great player.
A
72. One more.
F
72.
B
Yeah, let's see one more.
F
72.
B
Stranger.
A
23. We gotta get. We gotta get someone to break the seal. As long as it's not memes. Memes means breaking the seal would be
B
brutal nightmare for everybody.
A
Seven. Seven. Seven.
B
Anyone?
E
Someone had eight.
A
You had eight, Zach.
G
I did, but maybe another day.
A
So close.
B
Love you guys. So happy birthday to Greg Olson.
E
Happy birthday, Greg.
B
Friend of the program. Happy birthday, Greg. I hope it's actually your birthday on March 11th. And I didn't just get fooled myself, but I think it is your birthday.
