gotta talk about this Terry and Arnold story that just gets crazier and crazier. It's Pain and Pendergast. I'm Luke Morrow, in for Sean alongside Seth Payne.
B
It's crazy and it's confusing to follow. And I was thinking that yesterday as I was reading it, I was like, okay, boy, this is. This is a lot. There's a lot of things involved with this. Terry and Arnold. So I figured we'd, we could lay it out and explain from this article in the Athletic, like as we know it, what happened, what didn't happen, and whether Terry and Arnold actually has a chance of beating this thing, which I, I feel like no. And yet his lawyers, his lawyers tend to do they, they bring up some valid points in all of this, but. So the Athletic. Did you read this article, Luke?
C
Yeah, I did, yeah. It was really well done and interesting, for sure.
B
I tried to, but they, you know, they jump around on the timeline all over the place and there's so many names involved. I made some bullet points to just explain the whole gist of what's going on. And I think there's two things right up the get go that you need to know is that Terry and Arnold was robbed from and did report it to the police, but in the meantime he also went after the guys he thought had robbed him. And that's why there's Doug. So he was initially the victim, but then he went after the guys that he thought had robbed him. But it all started for a guy that was characterized in the draft process as just a stand up dude. And you know, Nick and Ms. Nick Saban and Ms. Terry just absolutely loved him. Nick Saban still vouched for him at the end of January this year. It's unclear. It was late January, early February. Right. At the end of January, very beginning of February, he rented an Airbnb in Largo, Florida, which is just across the bay from Tampa, and had himself a weekend there with as many as 20 people coming and going at any given time. And somewhere along the way, somebody stole $100,000 in cash, $80,000 diamond chain and pendant with his initials in it, designer bags, four pairs of Louis Vuitton shoes, two Rolex watches, a cell phone and his Bible, which is a weird thing to steal. It's true. I don't know how the Bible got wrapped up into all of this, but they sold it. I'm guessing it must. I bet, I bet it was in a duffel bag that had all that other stuff. That's true or I'm just saying duffel bag with it.
C
I was gonna say maybe it was like a stash Bible you already see in the movie where they cut out the pages something in the Bible because he did tell the cops that that was the most important thing.
B
Yeah, that's right. Yeah. So at that point he's the victim, they realize it as it's going on and he calls the police because he says he got Robbed the weekend itself. So basically one of the neighbors said that it seemed like at any given time there were like 20 people at the house. They were coming and going. The security code to the Airbnb was entered hundreds of times throughout the weekend, so a boatload of people had it. Neighbors said that it was pretty raucous. The homeowners association president said they've changed their policy on Airbnb rentals based on this. This one weekend alone. Neighbors discussing a stripper standing on a counter visible from the kitchen. At one point, the Airbnb host estimated that it took three cleaners seven hours and 20 trash bags to clean the townhouse after Arnold checked out. This is a townhouse. So they had a wall to wall neighbor protect potentially in this. Yeah, yeah.
C
Somebody said they got woken up at
B
like 4:00am yeah, yeah. And then it was. They were just coming and going from the clubs the whole time. The owner of the cleaning company told police that her cleaner saw multiple firearms inside the residence, including an. Including a long gun of some sort and a notebook they believed was used to log the sale of narcotics. That part there was, that part was interesting because I'm like, wait, okay, the cleaners said that they thought it was for the sale of narcotics. I got. I need a little bit more detail there is that, like how, how did they come to that conclusion? Other than that, like, wow, this looks a lot like a drug scene and there's a notebook. I don't know. So it's. So it might be hard to figure out, okay, who actually took all this stuff with all of these people. Arnold goes across the street and asks a neighbor to help him out by looking at their nest cam footage. And Terry and Arnold begins to suspect two young men who had been around the group. And this is where, this is where, like to put into perspective some of Terry and Arnold's decision making, whether he was or was not involved in the crime that you're about to hear about. One of them is a 19 year old dude, Jan Lopez, that he'd hired to be their driver for the weekend. Never hire a 19 year old to be your driver for the weekend. Two, Danny Tanasaka, an 18 year old barber who had cut Arnold's hair. They'd been hanging out. But then Arnold gets a call from his sister, apparently on his other cell phone, asking him, hey, what are you doing in Miami? And he says, I'm not in Miami. What are you talking about? And she said, well, your phone is. And that's when he remembers that the, the Lopez kid had Been hired to be a driver at a rap concert or something down in South Florida. And he starts feeling like, okay, these are guys that did it. Lopez and Tenasaka. And what police contend is that at that point, Tarryn Arnold hatched a scheme with his girlfriend or a girl he was dating, ariana Delval, who's 18 years old, and she'd been dating Arnold since they met at a club a few weeks earlier. So this is, this is meant to be. This is love, of course, and he hatches this scheme. They allege that he hatched the scheme. Arnold's lawyers would argue that these friends of his acted independently. These are the people have been arrested so far. There's these two women, one of whom is a girl he's dating, and then four of his buddies who are there. And I'm not going to go into the names of all of them because it gets too confusing. So the women and, or Terry and Arnold hatch a scheme to set up the driver. And they were the young woman. Arianna Del Val is going to have her friend Jasmine Randazzo try to lure Lopez to the, to their apartment with the promise of sex. So, or at least necking or something. You know, just, hey, come on over at midnight or whatever. So they, they, they end up luring the Lopez and Tenasaka and some other unnamed dude to their house, to their apartment, where two of Teriann Arnold's buddies are waiting in a closet. And when the Lopez kids. Was it Lopez or 10 Osaka that showed up that went into the house? That was.
C
I thought they, I don't know, honestly.
B
One went in initially and then. Yeah, no, Lopez was outside first, and then he, and then he came inside at one point they all three of them eventually end up in the apartment. And at various times, the. Terry and Arnold's friends are sticking a gun in their mouths, threatening to kill him. They taking their jackets, taking their phones, taking everything, and eventually they, they, they shove him out the door and they send them on their way. And meanwhile, what the prosecutors contend is that on that evening, Terry and Arnold had called to report the report the missing items. These other guys weighed in and reported the missing items. But then he, but then he claims he was nowhere near the actual apartment. Didn't have anything to do with that. The, the testimony from all these other people is that, no, he was sitting in the car outside the apartment and that he was there the whole time. And that's where we, that's where we stand right now. And I think he's supposed to have some kind of a trial on Friday. But it's a. It's a. He's either. He's either somehow completely innocent or he was trying to be a criminal mastermind and kept his. Kept his. His. He wasn't involved in the group text that was setting all of this up or anything. But I'm guessing that all six of those people dimed him out and that might be the biggest shock to him when it comes to being a criminal kingpin. People will dime you out. There is no you watch too much Netflix of people like enduring torture and stuff and not giving up names. They're gonna dime you out first chance they get.
C
It happened to me. My buddies and I did something stupid in sixth grade. We ended up getting suspended from school in sixth grade. But it was one of my friends was the one that got caught and he snitched on both me and the third person involved. We're still best friends to this day. But my father, I remember it was so embarrassing. They called us out of class, pulled us into the principal's office. Our parents were already sitting there and I was like, oh, they caught us. And when we walked out, my father said, let this be a lesson that you can't trust anybody. And I was like, yep, that's right. My best friend dimed me out.
B
So yeah, well, you know what though, to be fair to your friend though too, kids, kids are a sucker for the old. Hey, you know what? Luke Morrow already told me everything that happened. So you can either do the same or you're. You're in hot water, pal. And yeah, so they fall for that lickety split. Yeah, as do many, many adults.

B
Yeah, I learned it when I was. My friends, Sean and Casey. They were, they were fraternal twins and we were over at their house. I've told this story, but later in the day before, so some of you may not have heard it, we were, I'm guessing, like 7 or 8 years old. And we had this idea that, you know what? Nobody uses that shed out in your backyard. Let's tear it down and build a fort off in the woods using the lumber. I remember we were big on talking about the lumber because it felt very manly. We're going to take that lumber and we're going to build a fort with it. So we get into Terra Nava, you know, we find a crowbar and a hammer and some stuff, and we start, we start tearing apart this useless shed in their backyard. And we're about, you know, we got, we got A few. We got a few things off of the shed and all of a sudden the next door neighbor comes like stalking angrily into the backyard saying, what the hell are you kids doing to our shed? To my shed. And. Which was news to me. I had no idea it wasn't Sean and Casey's shed. Yeah, it wasn't even their shed. It was their neighbor's shed.
C
Classic.
B
So Sean and I go to take off running because that's what men do, and Casey, the bastard, grabs us both by the collar. He's bigger than both of us and says, that's okay, sir, I got him. I saw what they were up to. And this doofus idiot next door neighbor believes him. And Sean and I. But Sean and I are still abiding by like, can't sell Casey out, even though he just sold us out completely.
C
Yeah.
B
And even though Casey never got in trouble with their dad or anything.
C
Wow, that's a good move.
B
Yeah, Sean and I got spanked by Mr. Sanderson and Casey was scot free eating strawberry ice cream somewhere.
C
That's funny. That's. Hey, props to him. I got to give him credit there. That's a.
B
Taught me a lesson that day. He did.
C
Yeah, that's right.
B
I gotta say, seek him out afterwards, too. My list of people to seek vengeance on has grown ever since you've. Since you started co hosting this week.
C
That's true.
B
We got the kid that I beat up in peewee football.
C
Yep.
B
And there was somebody else from the show yesterday.
C
Was your wrestling the person that embarrassed you in wrestling in high school?
B
Oh, that's right. That's right. Yeah, that kid. Okay, I gotta seek him out. I'm gonna go through my old bracket list. The Terry and Arnold thing. I just don't. I, I. We wondered at one point in the draft two years ago whether the Texans were trading up the draft, were trying to trade up to draft Terry and Arnold because he seemed a lot like Will Anderson in the things that people were saying about him. What a leader he was at Alabama, how much Nick Saban loved him and everything. And I wonder if this is a. I wonder if this is something where he had tendencies and he kept them well hidden or he had a secret life in college or if this was just. Man, classic rookie. Rookie. Just got a boatload of money real quick and trying to do right by his old buddies. Like they just ended up getting into a big boatload of trouble. That the deed he got in way over his head. I don't know.
C
Yeah, I think it's mixed in with the bad, with the wrong people. Because even the neighbor said like he was very polite, he was great when he came over to check the video footage. But the rest of his group was so obnoxious and like immature or whatever.
B
Yeah. The neighbor said like he wanted to say to him again, going back to people bragging about what they wanted to say like that wanted to tell a man, this is your brand, your identity. You gotta like, yeah, careful about who you're associated.
C
Right. Stop hanging out with these kids. And it reminds me kind of Aaron Hernandez. Now, Hernan. Aaron Hernandez was both of the things you mentioned where he was living like that secret life in college that people didn't realize.
B
Yeah.
C
But also a lot of it, I mean he seemed to want to be a gangster, but a lot of it seemed to be tied to also just the group he ran around his friends that he had grown up with in Bristol, Connecticut. And so I think that's part of it because the, the article describes, like you said, I mean, Taran, everyone sung the praise of Terry and Arnold. He had good grades, he was a good student. You know, he did all these different things. They're wearing a lot of red flags. I think it's more so just hanging out with the wrong people. I know he's not that old, but like, you know, you're dating an 18 year old you met in the club, you have a 19 year old driving you around. Like those people typically are a little more immature. They don't have the money that they're not millionaires like you are. I think he might just be with the wrong people.
B
It is. No, I think about like Tiger woods when he was a young guy was living in that neighborhood that had all these legends, legendary athletes and older veteran guys, you know, and like, well, Tiger initially in his career was off to a splendid start for a long, long time. But I like, yeah, there is a, there's a part of just kind of managing who you have around you.
C
Yeah.
B
And the kind of trouble you can get into if it's probably one of the, it's one of the hardest things for young athletes sometimes is knowing how to draw that hard line and just saying like, man, like we can't be living like this. We got to like, you're either you either act a certain way or we can't hang out no more. And it's hard to do. But the fact that the Lions, the fact that the Lions cut him so quickly, I just, I, I wonder if there's more to it. I, I, because even with everything that people talked about with him. It would have been a huge surprise if I. If you learned that he wasn't conducting himself professionally around the building or anything. But I like, even with the transgression and even if they believed that that was true, I think most teams are still gonna, Given that he was a first round draft pick, are gonna try to wait and see. Exactly. And see what the recovery process looks like. I don't know it's for sure. Situation.
C
Yeah. I mean, I heard a report. I don't know if it's true or not. I should fact check it before I bring it to radio. But I did hear it on the radio that the Raiders have interest in Terry and Arnold. So I think there are definitely teams that if he does get out of this or even if it's just like whatever, say a year sentence, almost like who's a. Henry Ruggs, that I think, you know, teams would still be interested potentially at least kick the tires on him if he becomes available. If and when he becomes available because of that potential.
B
What the. What happened with. Did Henry Rugs get turned down for his probation?
C
Yeah, he has another year.
B
So he was up for parole and he was denied parole.
C
Yeah. So he has to wait another year. But they were already scuttlebutt of like, hey, when he gets out of prison, there's some teams that would be interested. So.
B
Yeah, because he was another one. Ruggs was another guy that didn't have any kind of character flags or anything coming out. And it was just such a mess. And with the Raiders to begin with, with everything going on there. But yeah, no, he'll get another chance as long as he doesn't. But like, some guys are. Some guys are so bad at even faking the recovery process that they don't like. Which might be why you didn't. I don't know. There's certain things you say and don't say when you're up for parole. Same way, like there's certain things you say and don't say when you're. When you're. When you're interviewing with NFL teams. I don't know.
C
Yeah. And to your point, he tried. He was not in the group text. Like, he said. He stayed in the car and didn't go up there.
B
Yeah. Does he not get any credit for that? He tried to keep his hands clean.
C
Yeah.
B
Yeah. Come on. He said he didn't have his burner phone because these guys had stolen it. So he couldn't even be as removed from it as possible. Yeah.
C
Actually, now that you Bring that up. Maybe that's why he wasn't. I don't know when he got a new phone. Maybe that's why he wasn't in the group chat. Now that I think about it, he didn't.
B
He didn't know his phone was missing until his sister called him on a different telephone of some sort. Or maybe she got a hold of him through one of his friends. But he's got at least two phones, which I'm guessing is pretty common with young athletes. But it's. Yeah. I don't. The prosecutors seem dead set on. No, yeah, he was definitely involved with this. Arnold's lawyers are just basically painting him as a victim of circumstance because he's got all these dodgy friends who just acted on their own to do all this.
C
No, he has to be involved. How much he's involved, I think is the debate. And that can lesser like the punishment. But even the fact that he told the cops afterwards of like, you know what, don't worry, we can drop the whole, like, investigating my missing things because, you know, they thought that they got their revenge that they didn't need to investigate anymore.
B
Yeah. And the big detail that I forgot that a lot of you already know, except the. The what? Prosecutors contend that, no, those two kids that they threatened with death and everything. No, they were not the ones who stole his stuff. So that the amateur police investigation that Terry and Arnold ran, unless he was a better sleuth than the cops were, it looks like they attacked and threatened the wrong guys altogether.
C
And that's honestly probably the biggest thing. If you attack the right guys, I don't know if they're gonna go to the cops because they did something illegal themselves. They robbed from you.
B
That's actually, that's what makes me believe most that Lopez and the other guy didn't do it is the fact that they went to the cops. If they had actually stolen it and everything and gotten roughed up, they're probably not going. Going to the cops.
C
It's a good point, by the way.
B
Whenever you play vigilante, you got to. Yeah. You got to be really. You got to cross. Cross your T's and dot your I's on all this stuff. You can get away with a lot of vigilantism as long as you're getting the correct people.
C
That's right. Not everyone is Charles Bronson.
B
Yeah.
C
Somebody said on the text line, Wow, I can't believe John Lopez did all that. Jk. Lol. What was that guy's name? John Lopez? Was that his name? Because when you said it, I was
B
like, wait, JLo it is. Let me see.
C
Sorry to put you on the screen.
B
I got rid of so many numbers. Yeah, it's Jan Lopez.
C
Yan Lopez.
B
But it's spelled Y A N. Right.
C
So not John Lopez.
B
Yeah. I wasn't trying to do some kind of pronunciation that I don't know. I'm sure I'm mispronouncing it, but it's Jan Lopez and Danny Tennisaka.
C
My favorite part from the whole story, that. Which is what you mentioned that neighbors discussed seeing a stripper standing on a counter visible from the kitchen window. You could see it from outside, like, oh, there's just somebody stripping in there. And then the fact that, as you said, the very next sentence of the paragraph, it took cleaners, three cleaners, seven hours. So that's 21 hours of cleaning, 20 trash bags and 20 trash bags to clean a townhome. I've had my place cleaned before and usually, like you get two cleaners, it takes two hours tops to clean the place. Seven hours with three cleaners. That place had to be a mess.
B
Not to mention, you know, the damage Terry and Arnold did do his actual Airbnb reviews on that. Like, that's a, That's a big thing, man. That's my one tip for Airbnbs is I always, I always budget like an hour of cleaning time before I leave because that's what, that's what will get you the most. That's what I get you the most. Recognition from a host and say you're pleasant and yes, you should definitely rent to this person.
C
Absolutely.
B
Which I. And I know you're already getting screwed with a cleaning fee and everything. Airbnb's got all kinds of issues and problems, but, but I, I use it a fair amount and I'm pretty. Like all the horror stories you hear about Airbnb, like, if you're the person renting them, if you're a tenant, a customer is like, look at the reviews, man. Like, if you get a. If you go to a three star reviewed property. Yeah. You're not going to have a good time. It's going to be. It's going to be a sty.
C
It's true.
B
Yeah.
C
It's similar to growing up. We would have somebody come clean the house, like maybe once a month. And we always had to clean for the cleaners. And it's like, isn't that. Aren't they coming to clean? Why do I need to clean up the house for the cleaner? Who's going to come clean it's the same idea. Like you're paying. They're going to bring in cleaners for the Airbnb. But still, you better clean first.
B
My wife broke me good on this one. She's psychotic about that, like cleaning a hotel room before she goes and everything. But now I've realized that the more I clean, the less things I forget and leave behind. Ever since I started really, I now do the same thing with hotels and Airbnbs. I clean. Like, I give it a full cleaning and usually I'm like, oh, there's my iPhone. Charger.
C
Cool.
B
I needed that. Oh, yeah. Oh, the rental car keys. Yeah. Those are good things to have. It's true.
C
When you're in a hotel, do you unpack the bag and actually use the drawers and the dresser in the hotel, or do you just like kind of live out of your suitcase?
B
If I'm gonna be there for. Usually if it's gonna. If I'm there for more than three days, I unpack.
C
I don't think I ever unpack. I could be a week trip. I'm always just living out of the suitcase.
B
It helps psychologically a little bit if you unpack. Yeah, for me at least. I just don't. I feel like I can just get into an actual routine and do like a lot of times when I'm traveling, I'm also working. That's where you fall. Whenever you're on a working vacation. You like it happens at the super bowl every single year. You. You realize after day three that you're like, oh wait, yeah, I'm still doing all my normal everyday activities. I probably shouldn't try to pack in a full vacation day on top of this. Some tired, right? Yeah, grumpy. And I'm throwing things at my co host. Yeah.
C
Oh my gosh, of course. Check out the Terry and Arnold the whole story on New York Times or the Athletic. They did a good job of summarizing it, as did Seth going through the article. But if you want to view it more in depth, go find the article.

Hey, speaking of messes, we've been talking about Brandon Ayuk and actually there's, there's more. He. He had another social media post in the last 24 hours that we'll get to, but here was Jason McCourty who has some advice for Brandon Iuk in this whole mess.
B
As a former player, you see these videos and you, you try not to assume or place anything on anyone because you don't know what's going on. But as I look at it, he's already went on videos and mentioned numerous times that he's going to be a part of the commander's team. If all of that was to happen, I would just, if I was his friend, I would just say, just put the phone down, just go work out and don't say anything because for all of the necessary steps you talked about applying for the reinstatement with Commissioner Goodell and doing all of those things, being released, all of those things he doesn't have to do, file the paperwork and then let all of those things take its course. Then when whoever signs you, you show up renewed and ready to go. From everything, from the outside looking in, it looks like a troubled person that's posting videos and doing all these things of this nature. I hope somebody does take a flyer and signs him on a veteran minimum so that he can be back in the locker room. I think that's such a key component of being back around guys, being on routine and being with people. To have your best interest in mind, where are the people who love him in his life, in his circle? They take that phone and put it in a safe somewhere because it just continues to get worse. And if you're Washington, you can go sign a Keenan Allen, Stefan Diggs, who would be less of a headache right now to bring them in. The Washington commanders don't really need this at this point. So That's Jeremy Fowler at the end. And this is what's continued to annoy me with the Brandon Aiuk stuff. It's like somehow this always happens in these situations where somebody's going off the wires, just losing it. It's like, where are the people who love him? Like, how are we. How are we turning them into the guilty parties here? Like, everybody. It's clear that Brandon Aiyuk is not listening to anybody right now. He doesn't even understand the process that he has to do to detach himself from the 49ers. Like, he keeps saying that the 49ers need to cut him. They can't cut him until he files for reinstatement. There's no. He's on a did not show list, which is something that I'd never heard of before in the NFL. He just. Because he just didn't show up, he's on a did not show list. And I like. Which would lead me to believe that he's not listening to anybody or hearing anything from anybody. It feels like he's just. It feels like he's kind of walled himself off from the world and he's not taking advice from anybody. There's not anybody there to take the phone from him.
C
Yeah, right. This might be like an unfair comparison, but it was similar. People always say the same thing about, like, Delonte west, the former NBA player, who. There's videos of him walking around, like, on the street. At a certain point, people have to help themselves. You can only do so much. And I've dealt with somebody firsthand that has had mental health problems. And I'm not saying that's. I don't know if that's the case or not with Brandon Aiyuk, but the point being, like, same idea. There's only so much you can do. Eventually they need to do something themselves to help themselves out. So.
B
Yeah, like, why doesn't somebody take the phone away from them? What? Have you ever tried to take your phone away from a full grown crazy man? Like, no, there's no taking. Hey, hey, listen, I know you're in a paranoid delusional state, but what I'd really love to do is take your phone. How you feel about that? Yeah, good luck with that.
C
By the way, speaking of that phone, Brandon Aiyuk did have another post yesterday, and he said he will not be filing for reinstatement. And then he also used the commander's hashtag at the end of the post. So he's still on the commander's train.
B
So everything that Jason McCourty said there about how, man, maybe the best thing for him is getting back in a structure and a routine and being around football players. The one big detail that he kind of just flew by was just sign at the veteran minimum and go play somewhere. I don't think. I don't think. I don't think Brandon Aiyuk, in his current state of mind, probably has any. Any appetite at all for. For. Does he seem like a guy who realizes that he's got to, you know, maybe start back at square one and prove himself all over again? It doesn't seem like he's. Like he's in that state of mind right now. I just. I'm leaning more and more towards. He just doesn't even want to play football. Like, it can't. It's not that hard to understand that he has to file the reinstatement paperwork before anything can happen. And yet he just routinely keeps getting up and making these statements like the 49ers are holding him hostage and all this. And it just, It. Like it doesn't make any logical sense. I don't. I don't think he's in a state of mind to make decisions. Like, he's gone. You know, he's gone. He's gone full Britney Spears on this, where you're kind of like, all right, she probably needs a custodian. It just shouldn't be her father. Like, this is the. Can we. Can we find a middle ground somewhere? That. All right, so maybe the 49ers don't need to be his legal custodian, but he definitely needs some kind of guidance or something, because he doesn't. He just doesn't seem like he's in his right mind.
C
Yeah, no. 100%. And we'll see how it all plays out. Somebody. We played a piece of audio earlier this week. I forget where it came from. I just have the comment in my head. But, yeah, look, on the field, he hasn't scored a touchdown, and I think it's 30 months. And now off the field, you have these problems, too. So, like, you know, he was already not the most premier option of, like, if he was a free agent just simply because of the on field performance, was injured last year, hasn't been as good last couple years. And now you factor in all this stuff.
B
Well, I mean, he was in 20, 23. He had 1342 yards receiving. And then he comes in and they. They have the long ordeal with the potential trade to the Steelers, and then the. The 49ers end up signing him and then he wasn't, he wasn't playing that effectively but then also got injured. And some of that, some of that early performance in 2024, it just felt like the classic man. Guys come off of a long holdout and they either don't perform as well or they get injured and both of those things happened. So yeah, given, given the saga over the last 18 months or so and how the fact that he didn't come off of that first, like protracted, I don't want to call it a holdout or whatever, you know, the missed training camp and everything, that if he didn't do well in that scenario, how well is he going to do after having two years off completely? I wouldn't be super optimistic about it.
C
Yeah, yeah, certainly. So that's the latest in the whole IUK ordeal.
B
I've heard zero clamor from Texans fans wanting iuk. If he becomes free and I'm going to be the one that holds that flag, I'll be the standard bearer for bringing IUK in. As long as he's on a. For a veteran minimum contract and with the full expectation that he might be gone in 12 hours if things don't work out. Well, it's just got to be a matter of just like, oh, okay. Oh, that. You know what? First hint of trouble, you're gone. Sorry.
C
Yeah, I don't know if it's worth the trouble. I don't think I would touch him. A ten foot pole.
B
Teams will touch him for a veteran minimum contract, which means he's going to get more than a veteran. Somebody's going to take it. Somebody's going to take a flyer on him if he wants to play football. And I would guess, I think it, I think it's actually going to be more money than people expect. Hey, it's going to be. It'd be like it'd be somewhere south of $10 million. But more than. More than $4 million plus incentives.
C
Yeah. If you can play, someone will take it. We were just talking about Terry and Arnold. I think if he's cleared or at least cleared soon enough, I think he might get another opportunity. Henry Ruggs potentially still might. I think I you. If he does actually become available, I think certainly someone will take a shot on him.
B
There's a good chance Terry and Arnold is going to be doing real jail time though too. Yeah.
C
I'm saying. Yeah. That's why if he gets, if his, his lawyers do prove that he's completely innocent here and he gets off scot
B
free in a situation like this, it's better off if he does go to jail. I feel like if you. If you do hard time and then just like. Well, like, Ray Lewis was different because Ray Lewis was already a proven awesome football player. There was never an end. There was never any doubt that the Ravens were going to take him back. But I do feel like it's. It's easier for people to digest. Okay, you committed a violent crime. You did actually have to serve jail time for it. The story is easier to package and sell about the retribution part if society feels like he's been punished for his crimes.
C
Real quick, would you decline an invitation to that Kelsey Swift wedding Friday night at msg? Apparently, Saquon Barkley did, at least according to the Charles Barkley. Oh, sorry, sorry. Just a bar.
B
They get confused a lot. Yeah.
C
Yes, of course, Charles Barkley declined the invitation, according to the fanatic in Philadelphia. So you didn't get the invite to
B
the royal wedding at Madison Square Garden then? I did.
C
Oh, you did get the invite. You didn't go.
B
I don't go to weddings. That's one of my. I don't go to weddings or funerals. But I did get an invite, and I politely declined because I thought it was going to be a crap show. And, like, I love Travis and Jason and I've only met Taylor one time. But, yeah, I did get an invite, but I said, hey, you know what? That's just too much. I just want to hang out and play golf and I don't want to dress up and all that other stuff. But I appreciate the invitation. It was pretty special. I felt better about, you know, you'd asked me yesterday if I would have accepted the invitation if I was invited. And I think I said no, didn't I? My first gut tells me, like, God, no. I don't want any part two. Do with that. I feel better that Barkley would have declined it, too, just because he's. He's a very. Sometimes I worry I'm a little introverted when it comes to real life. And if Barkley, who's extremely extroverted, doesn't. Doesn't bother with stuff like this, that seems like the right choice.
C
Yeah, it's just a spectacle. I would go just for the experience or just to say I was there. But I'm already at that age where, like, it just. It seems like too much of a hassle. Like, he was saying, you got to get dressed up. I don't know where Barkley lives. I think in the Atlanta area, you got to go to New York, it's July 4th weekend. You're dealing with so many people there. There's probably going to be paparazzi outside if you leave msg. Like, it just sounds like there's too much going on. I'm just going to hang out at home, relax, not worry about that.
B
It's a lot and, and especially for somebody that you don't know. And let's be realistic. It's a. It's a celebrity marriage. If it works out long term, that's a. That's the exception, not the standard when it comes to celebrity marriages. Just to feel like the same reason I don't get to be. I. I would look at that event like any other awards show or anything else, or unless I'm really interested in it. There's not. I don't personally know these people. I'm not going to it.
C
Yeah, that's a good point. I would have no interest in going to any of the award shows. And except for. I guess it's not an award show, but like the Rock and Roll hall of Fame induction because you actually have all the performances and everything. But, yeah, the actual, like the Grammys or Emmys or whatever. Like, I don't care. So similar here.
B
I kind of like to go to the sps just because I enjoy. I enjoy athletes not taking it while getting roasted, at least. At least at the Oscars and everything. They're actors and they know how to fake like they're laughing at themselves. I feel like with the athletes, sometimes it's. There's just some. There's just some brutally awesome moments where the crowd gets uncomfortable because they don't want Pat Mahomes to know that they're laughing at him either, or something like that. I like the awkwardness of it.
C
Ricky Gervais did such a great job hosting the Golden Globes. I always. The last time he did it, whatever year that was, I watch that video on YouTube all the time because it's great when he's roasting everybody in the room, but it's so funny. Also, they keep showing Tom Hanks, who is so, like, disturbed with the jokes. He is not.
B
Oh, really?
C
Yeah.
B
Oh, yeah. He's not having it. No.
C
And he's looking around like, whoa, are you kidding me? And it's just so funny. It's like, lighten up. Laugh at.
B
You ever see. I never saw. I don't know what show it was on, but Ricky Gervais did a skit on some show where Johnny Depp comes in to. Basically, they were. They were going to ask him to do a role or something. And Johnny Depp comes in. Just live it about livid about some joke they told about Johnny Depp. And it's good. Like Johnny Depp showed that he could it seemed like he could laugh at himself. But. But you're not quite sure because he is an actor.
C
That's true. Yeah. Yeah.
B
I haven't seen their agents telling him, like, hey, make it look like you just love all this and you're. You're going along with it. Fun guy.
C
Yeah, yeah. I haven't seen it. But I do love Ricky and I also, at least before all that drama, I always love Johnny Depp as well. So have to check it out. Hey, coming up, how many coaches would you take ahead of d' Amico Ryan's? We'll get to that. Next Payne and Pendergast.
