Reggie
All right, welcome back. We appreciate John Harris rolling with us. A lot of people had some and you knew that would happen. A lot of people had some movies they sent in that were surprised that didn't make it from Set it Off to New Jack City. I saw several times there. But it ain't, it ain't your list. It's John.
Rich
That's right.
Reggie
I'm still I, I, I, I'm telling you, I would not have at all guessed John was going to roll out with stomp the yard.
Rich
And that's considering you already knew that Boomerang was one. Yeah, we so you already knew that he's in here. Yeah. And even still Stomp the yard was
Reggie
like okay, well I did. Yeah, that one I did not, I did not have on the card. Did not have on a bingo card. All right, Clint Sterner, our guy Clint Sterner joins us here in the 9 o' clock hour. He's somewhere on his way to the river and and he's about to have him a good time with the fam. But he is taking his time to help us out, to help us raise some money here. And just to get you up to date on everything you can do, how you can do it, our guy Reggie will keep you updated and give you all the info you need to find out how you can donate. We need to have this is Clint Sterner's 9 o' clock hour. We need a big 9 o'. Clock.
Rich
That's right.
Reggie
We need a big 9 o' clock hour. Tell them exactly what they can do.
Rich
All right, so there's various different ways to get involved. First and foremost, just the pure donation aspect of it. You can text radio THON 26 to the number 7177. Too many sevens. If that becomes an issue. 71777. Right. And if that becomes an issue, you can text our text line 713-572-4610. I'll send you the link. Make it nice and easy because that will help you donate there where we have already raised over $2,000 towards our goal appreciation to Cam, who's donated. We also let me make sure because I feel like somebody was getting mad at me on the text line for not shouting them out. So I'm trying to go back and make sure that I shout out David and Jeffrey and Michael and Sherilyn and Lee who have all helped us out to this point. Obviously jump in there and I'll make sure to shout you out. But then also the really fun part of it, if you go to sportsradio610.com you'll see the landing page where the Reggie and Ron radio thon is. You can jump in there and get into our auction for auction items. And this is where I'd love to talk to our guy, Clint Sterner, who is a college football junkie in the same way that we are, Clint, which is, is it, is it offensive in your mind that we have two, you know, Texas schools with autograph signed helmets. One of them is a Marcel Reed autographed Texas A and M helmet. And this one has a starting bid of $395. We haven't gotten a bid on it yet, but if you were going to bid $395, where you start, we also have a Vince Young signed Texas Longhorns helmet from 05. This has a starting bid of $20 less than the Marcel Reed helmet. Is this offensive?
Ron
Absolutely disrespectful. Houston legend Vince Young, absolutely disrespectful.
Reggie
Like Tyler made this.
Ron
I'm just, I'm going to tell you man, Vince is, Vince is one of the, one of the all time greatest performances I've ever seen in college football. And this was before I married a Longhorn, by the way. This, this was when, boy, if you're, if you're an Arkansas quarterback, you better not even mouth. Don't even shape your mouth. To like, Texas. I said this from jump. I mean, that. That performance right there should. Should mean that Vince's. Vince's item should be double Marcel Reed. Now, that's where I would start, and then I would. I would maybe back off of that double just a bit because Marcel is. Is currently playing. So you got a. You got an entire college fan base that might be interested in that one right now. Not. Not as a. As a collector's item or something, but. But something right now. Boy, he's on the field. So that. That may bring a little. Little cash to it, but. But no, that's disrespectful, Rich.
Rich
I thought so. I thought, like. And look, that's no shade to Marcel Reed, but we're talking about an autographed helmet from a champion of a helmet from that time period. It feels weird to have that on the same level. Now, it is a blackout Aggie helmet. And, you know, the Aggies love that blackout look, so maybe that's. Maybe that's it.
Ron
You know, that helmet is clean. That. That is. I mean, I think every school should. I mean, I'm at the point where I get pissed off because mine doesn't do it. I think every school should be forced to have a black uniform. Force them to have a black uniform. I don't care if it's matte black or shiny black. I don't care what black you go with. But it's got to be some. That is. That is. That helmet is clean. No doubt.
Rich
All right.
Reggie
Yesterday, we were. The other day, we found out that Clinton Tyler, they. They've got a Fourth of July number two. Number two holiday. Both of them of all, like, if ranking.
Rich
So we talking about food's birthday, everything. We talking about Christmas.
Reggie
We talk about everything. Yeah. Yeah, they got it. Number two. Number two. I. Wow.
Rich
Which is funny, because that is high. Clint ain't even a lake guy. Clint is a. Clint is a river guy, which obviously he's making happen. But it feels like you have less bodies of water to make the 4th of July thing happen.
Ron
No, no, no, Rich. So you just. That's speaking from. From. From, you know, lack of experience.
Muscle Milk Announcer
Okay.
Rich
All right.
Reggie
This is.
Ron
I mean, had reg been about 10 years older and we would have been running these streets together, I would. I would show you something that'll change your life, man.
Reggie
That change your life.
Ron
The. The. I'm a river rat. I don't. I don't do lakes. I don't. I don't like. I like to do things Reg. And I think y' all will appreciate this. I like, I know Ron will. I like to do things that don't, that don't require a hundred thousand dollar boat.
Reggie
Not bad.
Ron
I like to do things that don't require a whole hell of a lot of work. From a sense of going to the storage and getting the boat and plugging it up. You got to have a truck that can drag it and back in it. You gotta have something backing in the water. You gotta make sure it's got gas. I mean by the time you've done all that, hell, I've spent two hours of my July 4th, I've already getting prepared. Right. When we're talking about river trips, depending on what, where you're at in your life, you, you drive to a parking lot down river, you park your rig, you may. Nowadays you can Uber. Probably a good idea considering how much you're gonna drink or smoke or gummies you gonna have. You, you, you get on this bus. Back in the day it was a yellow dog. Now it's kind of a van type deal, but back in the day it was a yellow dog. And you get on this bus and somebody's got a speaker and everybody's in, everybody's in bikinis, if you know what I mean. I ain't talking about me and you and you're all on this yellow dog. And there is, there is whatever the, the, the, the music of choice, usually hip hop in, in my crew at that point in time is rocking for about a little 30 minute trip up river. Tubes are in the trailer behind the bus, getting pulled behind the bus. A lot of, lot of, a lot of smoking weed. You got your ice chest with all your, all your, your drinks in it. All right? They take you up river to hey, get yalls ass out, get in the river. You get out, grab your tube, get in the river, tie. You tie your ice chest to it and you enjoy your life for the next four to six hours. You, there's no jumping, there's no boats going by, no waves hit me in the face. There's no, there's no cops messing with me about who's, who's driving the boat, who's not. There's none of that. And by the way, Ron, I'm talking, hey, we could rent that inner tube and that I, we hold, set up about $10.
Reggie
That's it right there.
Ron
Hey, back in the day, this is where I was, this is where I was introduced to Keystone Light. My boys, we went in there that, that first day. We was drinking that high dollar beer we was drinking with. I mean, hey, we. We was showing out that next day. We said, boys, we're going back to the river. We ain't got much cash in the pocket. How much can we. How much can we get for this right here? We went in there, told the guy, we said, hey, what's the cheapest beer you got? He said, that Keystone Light right there. I said, give. Give me all I can get for this right here, boy. We had another day on the river, baby.
Reggie
I got a list here, Clint. Okay, what you got of the ranking of the best holidays celebrated?
Rich
This ain't a job.
Reggie
And I've looked at multiple lists, and I think you'll be very disappointed. Where you have two. This one has Christmas, one, Thanksgiving, two, Halloween, three, Easter, four, Mother's Day, five, New Year's Eve, six, New Year's Day, seven, and then the fourth.
Ron
Well, that mean. That is a terrible.
Rich
That is pretty rough. That is pretty rough.
Ron
Hey, Rich, I love my mother. She's sitting right here. My road dog. I told you, man. I mean. I mean, I don't know anybody, any grown ass man can be more of a friend to their mother than I am and have been for years. Mother's Day is Nowhere close to July 4th, and I'm getting thumbs up from granny.
Reggie
I got another one. I got another list here. Thanks. Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween, Easter, Mother's Day, and then New Year's Day and then the fourth.
Rich
We're doing a lot of high ranking. A Mother's Day. Like I. Again, I. July 4th is a little high amongst our Baytown contingent here.
Reggie
I'm staying right there on that Mother's Day.
Rich
Our Baytown contingent is a little higher on July 4th than I think you should be. I think you definitely. Food's birthday is number one. And then you get Christmas, and then we can start talking about the. The fourth. But yeah, Mother's Day. How does Mother's Day keep creep. I know we all love our moms, but that, I mean, the day itself, the celebration of it is.
Ron
That's not even a holiday.
McDonald's Announcer
We don't even.
Ron
We don't even get off work. Are you kidding me? Mother's Day, we don't even get off work.
Reggie
I mean, holiday.
Ron
Well, what are we talking about?
Rich
See a lot.
Ron
Halloween. Are you kidding me? Halloween. I mean, even when I. When I did put on a costume back in the day, Halloween was Nowhere close to July 4th. I mean, are you kidding me? You come. You get on that river.
Reggie
A lot of people who love Halloween,
Ron
man, you get a bunch of free Candy. I get it. I. I mean, I. And you get to dress up. And. I mean, I don't even think people. Like, if I thought Halloween was as popular as it is because. Because of what happens nowadays with these ladies wearing all these skimpy little outfits and seeing. Seeing just how the. The. How they can push the envelope with their fathers. Then. Then you know, that. That. That back in the day may have made. That's not even why it's ranked as high as it is. So. Yeah, I don't. I just totally disagree. I mean, I'll tell you one thing, you know. You know who's up from up here is Cliff Kingsbury's. He was a river rat. Now, he may not be any more that he's got. He's. He's made millions of dollars.
Rich
He got boat money.
Ron
Oh, yeah.
McDonald's Announcer
Oh, yeah.
Ron
He's definitely got. But there was a day when damn near. He was. He's from New Braun. Was up here where the river's at. If it was a holiday, I'm telling you, Memorial day, Labor Day, July 4th. On the river, it's. It's hard to beat boys.
Rich
I like that you say he seems like a Halloween guy. Not only does it seem like a Halloween guy, he seems like the Halloween guy that goes to the party but does not dress up.
Reggie
I think he.
Rich
He does not.
Reggie
Halloween guy, based off what Clint just described.
Ron
Oh, no question. He may be. He may have been the one that started that. But there's. I'm gonna tell you, I remember. I remember coming around that. That on that Guadalupe river, floating around that corner, because you float when. As you're floating the river when it gets to a shallow point, somebody pulled a big party, big group would pull their inner tubes up and have the speaker blare, and everybody's dancing and drinking and boom, boom, boom. And so you either float by or you stop, which obviously we would stop at every one of the parties. And. And I remember pulling up on. On Cliff one day, man, he had a crew up there. I mean, it's absolutely shredded. I was like, man, I think it was. It was. It was right after his tech days, maybe like in his New England Patriot days. And he was trying to decide when he realized he can't play at the NFL level, but he can. He can damn sure, coach. I mean, posted up up there, boy. I mean, just throwing it. Throwing a Cliff Kingsbury party. Local. Local guy. It's his. It's his town, boy, I tell you, it was. It's a. It was a special time to be alive on a river.
Reggie
There it is. Hey, another special time right now is for you to help us out to text RADIOTHON26 to 71777 that is the best way you can donate as we are looking to to exceed what we did last year. We need your help just like we had last year and we need you to do that again. Text RADIOTHON26 all one word to 71777 coming up in a bit, Clint Clint wants to talk about what may be a major change for this offense and this quarterback. And I'm wondering, is it is it the best thing for him? We'll discuss that coming up next.

Rich
Is there anything in your diet that
Reggie
might be spiking your blood sugar?
McDonald's Announcer
I said sometimes I eat pizza until
Ron
I'm unconscious, he said.
Reggie
I think that might be it for real.
State Farm Announcer
Stories live on stage from comedians, astronauts, accountants, farmers and people just like you follow and listen to the Moth wherever you get your podcasts.
Reggie
That's right as we continue rolling through second second edition of the Reggie And Ron, Radio thon. Remember you can text radiothon26 like my man Sean just did. Radio thon26 to 71777. That's how you can donate as we are trying so hard to to top what we did last year. And we are so thankful for you all. Kathy, we appreciate you as well as. As you just checked in Otis. We'll just continue to thank you again because your name is Otis.
Rich
But I feel like we're starting a bad precedent if we just keep thanking Otis. You know what I mean? Like if you have an interesting name, you get more love. It's not fair, you know. I mean if your name is John and you and you and you donate, I appreciate that just as much.
Reggie
I do too. But because it's the same amount of meals you said, you just think they stopped making Otis.
Rich
I didn't realize we were still making
Reggie
Otis's and I just, just Otis is ain't one like as I told you, Otis is not recently made. Otis has got to Clint. How. How do you think this Otis is? Otis Hudson just. He's the one that text.
Rich
He put his whole gun.
Reggie
I did. How old do you think Odysseus Clinton.
Ron
Listen Sports Radio 610. He's donated. He's. He's donating. I'm. I'm gonna say that Otis is. I'm gonna go with 56.
Reggie
Yeah, that's gonna tell you that start with a five or six every time and he's Otis hitting 27. I can tell you that. No, no, no. He's not 27. Heading to the river.
Rich
I really hope Otis is not offended by this by the way.
Reggie
It's all right, man. Otis should have screwed his kid by just going here. You gonna be Otis too. That's what you gonna do. That's what I did to mine gave him them old ass names.
Rich
Ronald.
Reggie
Hey, my friend or my son's got a friend group. They're all the thirds and it's Ronald, Gary, Victor. Gary.
Rich
Gary. Damn man.
Reggie
There's another one in there. They're all the thirds names in there. They all are. But no man.
Rich
When you start talking about. And I know that I'm taking away from time of something important but when you start talking about giving people name. Did you see what Tim Hardaway Senior.
Reggie
We talked about that yesterday. Ridiculous. What a guy.
Rich
I am fascinated. Your son can't wear your number but you gave him your name the pro. I just. Problem.
Reggie
I just. I just know Yolanda is pissed. Yeah, Yolanda. Yolanda Hardaway. Is got to be. I mean she's holding out. I mean he keep it not even think about the draws right now. If my, if you gonna do that to our son. That's the only number he's ever worn and he's worn it to honor your ass.
Rich
And you get.
Reggie
And now that thing's got to stay in the rafters because he got. He's going to have his own legacy.
McDonald's Announcer
Stop.
Reggie
It's utterly ridiculous. Anyway, let's have ourselves a big hours. Clint Sterner, he's in with us throughout the 9 o' clock hour. Radio THON 26 to 71777. Let's, let's get it rolling as as we have been. But I do want to play this because Clinton, I know you had some thoughts on this. Greg Cosell was one of the, I think one of the best and go to guys in terms of film watching, specifically quarterbacks that he does a lot of film watching on. A lot of people trust his opinion and his thoughts. He had this to say about maybe potential next steps for CJ Stroud.
Greg Cosell
CJ Stroud, the last couple of years has been up and down. Now keep in mind his first year in the league, he was in a Kyle Shanahan type offense with Bobby Slowik. Now, in that offense, the quarterback has nothing to do with calling protections. And then they got off to a slow start his second year and they fired Slowik and they made a fairly significant change in approach which has now continued and they went more with a New England Patriots style of offense. And in the New England style of offense, the quarterback is responsible for setting protections. That's a major, major adjustment for a quarterback. It adds to the mental part of playing the position. And I've met CJ Stroud, he's a very intelligent young man. But when you have to make that change and it's a process and he'll get better and better at it, but I think it slowed down just his whole processing and I think there were times where I thought he was indecisive playing the position and therefore was not as anticipatory as we saw him in his rookie season.
Reggie
All right, when you hear that first off, Clint, is that is that what you see as well and what you've seen as well and do you think you think they should continue that approach or maybe look at what he had major success with early on?
Ron
Yeah, it's absolutely what we've seen to some degree. You know, I think it, I think it varies from game to game and game plan to game plan with all the changes that they do. But, yeah, I think overall, evaluating CJ Stroud, I think that is the big change. We've talked a lot this week, Ron, about the, the, you know, year one, how efficient he was with the explosive plays. To year three, he was efficient and the explosive plays disappeared. There's obviously a scheme change and there's. There's obviously been some regression. And, and then we talked yesterday specifically, Ron, about, you know, the, the things that the Texans can do to make sure that C.J. stroud is the best that he can possibly be in 2026. And I had a list of about four or five things, and one of those was to simplify. Right? And. And I think exactly what Greg Cosell is speaking to a lot of people when, when they hear me or anybody say, well, simplify, they think dumb down. They think the quarterback's not smart. They think, they think you got to cut the offense in half. This is something that goes on in every quality offense, is to keep things as simple as they need to keep them. Right. If you've got like Sean McVeigh out on out there with Matthew Stafford, you don't need to keep things simple. You know, Mike McCarthy in Pittsburgh with Aaron Rodgers, you don't need to keep things simple. Right. The advantage you have is you can be as complicated and multiple as you want because these guys have seen everything that the game can throw at them. Right. It varies per quarterback. And it's not a. It's not a negative or it's not damning. It's. It's just. It's just what good quality coat offensive coaches do is you simplify. And I don't think it's a secret, to Greg's point. I don't think it's a secret that C.J. stroud has. Has struggled with that protection piece. We saw DeSean Watson struggle with that constantly. How many times, Ron, did We talk about DeSean Watson spending 75% of the play clock at the line of scrimmage trying to figure out who the hell's coming, who's not coming.
State Farm Announcer
Yeah.
Ron
And he's snapping. The boys got seconds to snap the ball. He doesn't even get a chance to look at the cornerback leverage or the safety depth and rotation and movement. Like he. The things that are really important, he never get a chance to really look at. Right. And so you see. And now that. That's obviously an extreme. It was blatantly obvious with desean, where.
Pacifico Announcer
With.
Ron
With CJ he just struggles with it. It's not something that he can't do. But, but the whole point, Ron, is the simplification of it, right, Is if you, if that's something that D', Amico, Ryan's and Nick Casserole spent three years with C.J. stroud, you didn't let him do it for two years. You let him do it for one year. It wasn't as clean as you thought. You know him better than anybody out there, right? Is it a good idea to continue your system, right, this, this New England system? Is it a good idea to continue that system and say, nope, in our system, our quarterback does this or is it better to go, hey, no, our center is going to handle this. This, this part of, of the protection, this part of the IDing the, the, the, the. The mic, if you will. I think that's simplifying it. But, but, but setting the protections and, and simplifying it for CJ Stroud. I think, I think that audio. Just show it. I think it for, for what we've talked about this week, Ron, on, on the drive, in the afternoons. I think it, it was, it was just right there. I mean, somebody of, of of co. Sells ilk talking exactly about. What we've been talking about is, is some of the things to help CJ Play better. And that's one of them, man.
Reggie
I Is. It is. It is an interesting thought of like, how good he was doing what he did.
Greg Cosell
Yeah.
Reggie
And then to, to put that. My question is, are they capable of switching to a situation to where it was more like the first year and you. And are they capable of doing that or. Because that's one of the things to me that I feel is rigid with that that offense is. There doesn't seem like there's a lot of like, flexibility in certain aspects of
Rich
it, like melding this.
Reggie
You got something else or just like, like, can you just shift to where. All right, this is what we're going to do with our quarterback. We're going to handle protections in a similar vein that they do in the McVeigh Shanahan offense. And to me, it would just make sense. Well, let's go there instead of maybe just saying we're going to force him to try to play this way and get better this way when it is not his strength. I just. I. Clint, it is, it is hard for me to get to. I understand growth and trying to get better and better with certain things, but if a dude had this level of success doing something this way, to completely veer off of it, to me is. Is something that, that I don't understand when it was the level of success that he had.
Ron
Well, you go back to, I mean there's several things at play here, right? Is, is, did, did d'. Amico. Ryan's really know what he was doing when he, when he fired Bobby Slowik and they hired Nick Kaley as a defensive minded head coach. Do you really understand how deep we are right now talking about how it impacts your quarterback play? I, I, you know, you got it, you got to wonder. I, I don't know. But, but to your point precisely, are they capable? The answer is yes. You know, there's, there's not an offense in the world that, that you can't, you can't delegate for lack of better terms, that you can't say, hey, especially if you're gonna, if you're gonna, if your center is going to be Jake Andrews, he's gonna be a plug and play because he knows the offense. Absolutely. You can say, hey, you're, you're gonna handle this. You're gonna call it and think about it like this. As a quarterback, right? You take all the, that responsibility off my plate. I'm looking at safety rotation, I'm looking at leverage of corners. I'm the inside technique, outside technique. Is one soft, is one, is, is one uptight playing. You know what, what are all these indicators? How wide are the linebackers? You know, what's, where's somebody's eyes, what are somebody's hips? So I'm doing all that while Jake is, is directing the traffic. All I got to do is hear Jake directing the traffic. Now as a quarterback, I know, hey, my left side, I'm taking care of, I'm taking care of in the A gaps which are right next to the center, between center and guard and, and I'm taking care of, to my left side as a quarterback. I'm hearing all that as I'm, as I'm seeing coverage and then I know, okay, this, this, this outside linebacker, if he comes, I'm hot. Boom. That's it. Snap the football. Now I know where I'm coming from. There's none of the, I'm responsible for everything. And, and that's what the, again, the, the, the, the pinch that they're in, guys, is that, and you mentioned it right there, Ron. Do you, do you punt on asking CJ Stroud to be Tom Brady from a pre snap perspective?
Reggie
Yeah.
Ron
And let somebody else do it because you know he plays better. Right? I agree with you Ron, but, but, but that's what they're gonna do. Do you do that or do you go, nope, we're gonna run this system and CJ's gonna have to, CJ's gonna have to grow and, and develop and mature to be able to do these things.
Rich
Things.
Ron
Yeah, right. That's the guys, that's, that's the quandary that the Texans are in right now is how do you, how do you handle that? And it seems like given what they continue to say, it seems like it's, it's going to be the hard headed route of damn it, cj, you got to figure this stuff out.
Rich
Well, I think also there's something to be said though, because I, I understand what you're saying here. There's something to be said though for if you want to get better, especially towards your stated goal of getting, or at least the implied goal of getting bigger, beefier on the offensive line and being able to move folks in order to help you run the football, you would opt for Keelum Rutledge at center versus Jake Andrews. So there's also this added question of as you're talking about the possibility of letting your center ID things. Well, what happens if your center is indeed the rookie guy and has not played in this system either even if he's not a rookie or even if he's a rookie now, even if you're talking about it next year, the eventual plan is for Keelan Ruth to be the center of this team. And so there's going to be a point where he has to be the guy who IDs. Except would you not want CJ Stroud in that circumstance as opposed to Keelan Rutledge?
Ron
Great, great point, Reg, because I, the, the, I don't have the answer to that question precisely. But back to the question Ron and I were just talking about from a standpoint of what do the Texans do right. That is an indicator that they're not going, you know, if you're going. I was just, I was just watching. It was actually Greg Cosell talking about the Titans and the Titans and I don't know who the center is, but the Titans brought in a center that was with day Ball at some point in his career. I don't remember if it was Buffalo or, or, or New York, but, but he, but he was with Daybo. And the whole point that Greg Cosell was making was they brought this sa. This, this center in to do all of the, the, to have all the responsibilities that you would like for a quarterback one day to have, but he's going to have all the responsibilities because they want to play fast. Now they don't. They want to take all the pressure off of Cam Warden and let him play free now. Right. That was the whole point. And so if to your question or to your point you're making about Keelan, Rutledge, them saying we're going to draft a guy that's never played center because he's physical and we're going to ask him to potentially play center and he's going to be a rookie in this league tells me that the direction that they're going is cj. They're going to say, cj, you got to figure this stuff out and you've got to, you got to find a way to play at your best with all these responsibilities and we'll see how that works out.
Rich
No wonder you don't remember dude's name. His name is Austin Schlotman.
Ron
There you go. Slotman.
Rich
Slotman. I, you could have given me 30,000 guesses. I wouldn't have gotten a Schlotten off the top of my head.
Reggie
Oh, Schlotti.
Ron
Yeah. Hey, he is, he is supposedly. Well, the other reason I might not remember him because I, I don't know how highly regarded he is from a Pro bowl perspective or anything like that. I could be wrong. But, but yeah, like he's, you know, he, they're pretty much saying I believe in, in Tennessee is, you know, we're going to allow Cam Ward to play fast and, and, and to play free. And the way one way we're going to accomplish that is our center is going to responsibility at the line of scrimmage.
Reggie
Well, one way we're going to accomplish our goal today is him. I'm good. One way we're going to accomplish our goal today is to have you text radio THON 26 all one word radio THON 26 to 71777 and you can donate there. Don't forget go to sportsradio610.com as well and there is a link that you can connect to the auction list. And we've got 17 items on the auction list including dinners with with all four shows and dinners with Figgy and Brandon Scott. And Figgy and Brandon Scott. Their dinner is leading the way right now. Clint. Well, now we got the most bids. A lot of people are bidding the way maybe I would but we got the most bids.
Rich
You and I love. You know exactly what he means when he says that.
Ron
I know exactly what they they bumping that thing up by the probably five dollar incredible increments.
Reggie
Hey man, there's A couple bucks. There's a couple dollars dollar starters on there too. But we got, we got 10 bids on there. But, but they're jumping up. But no, you can jump in here and into each and every, every show. There's a dinner there and it looks like the drive, you can bid there. Oak and Iron Will. Uh, we'll be uh, be able to sit down with myself, Clint Tyler in the loop. You can. There's a bid. You've got to jump over there as well at. Where you at? Federal Grill. And amongst many other items as well, you can jump in on there if you want to get that Leon, that, that, that old Messiah autographed jersey.
Rich
I heard, I heard you abandon the attempt to say his first name. You were there with Leonel. You were there. That was it.
Reggie
I'm on Lionel.
Rich
But he was like,
Ron
I think we ought to just go with Leo, boys.
Reggie
Does he call it, does he go by Leo?
Rich
I don't think so.
Reggie
I don't think, I think he is Lionel Lionel.
Rich
But I do like the idea of calling him Lionel Lionel.
Reggie
I like Lionel. It's Americanized.
Rich
That sounds like a name that you have. Like that sounds like a man who has his name on his shirt when he goes to work. You know what I mean?
Ron
Like a man that has a list of the top black movies of all time.
Reggie
That's right, man. I'll tell you man. I'll tell you man, John boy, he was. He didn't even know it. I didn't do it. But he had been waiting on that question for his whole life.
Rich
For a very long time. A very long time.
Reggie
His whole life. Stumped the yards to the upside.
Ron
I feel like John's probably ran through that one a few times given the world he lives in.

Rich
All right, so now I've got it.
Reggie
Notices have given.
Rich
It's the same one. It's the same one. Oh, Hood, I now want to play a game. Do we still have Clint on the line? Yeah, Clint, I want to play a game. What's the oldest name that you have, like, actually encountered? I don't want you to just come up with some. But what's the oldest name? Otis, isn't it? But it gets me thinking towards that. That line of thought.
Ron
Oh, wow.
Reggie
My grandma's name was Eddie Mae, boy.
Ron
I mean, my. Yeah, that's. That's a good grump. Glad you. I'm glad you said that.
Rich
That's country as hell, man.
Reggie
Yeah, anytime. That Eddie Mae.
Rich
Because it's not anime. It's just.
Reggie
No, it's Eddie.
Rich
Okay. See, I kind of hate Eddie May. That's so damn country. How do we make this name more. We just tag on, man.
Reggie
Eddie Mae Johnson.
Ron
Well, I got to. I mean, I can't. I can't one up Eddie Mae, but I can damn sure. I can damn sure. I mean, tie. I mean, strong tie, like four overtime tie or. Lou is my grandmother's name.
Reggie
That's a God.
Ron
That's a winner.
Rich
That is a winner.
Reggie
That's it. I don't know. I don't know if we're making auras or lose.
Rich
No. Yeah, y'. All. Y' all got discontinued models.
Reggie
100.
Rich
100.
Ron
Yeah, that's a good point, boy. We got to find out what Tyler's grandmother's names were. See if we can't. See if we can't make this a drive trifecta, because that's Ora, Lou and Eddie Mae. I mean, you were right. They. They are. They are extinct.
Rich
Since we're throwing out grannies in here, my grandmother's name, Benedicta.
Reggie
Oh, that's just. Well, even old. That's just one of a kind.
Greg Cosell
Yeah,
Ron
that's just difficult.
Reggie
What y' all call.
Ron
What's the full name? R. Well, she.
Rich
She would go by Bessie, but that's. It's not like that sounds. We're not. We're not rolling any Bessies out here anymore.
Ron
That's a good old one. Oh, man. Eddie May or Lou and Bessie. I think they could make a movie about them 3.
Rich
100%.
Ron
I don't know if yalls are still kicking, but mine is not.
Rich
Mine is not either, unfortunately.
Reggie
No. Nope. Yeah, Kicking in that.
Rich
That bingo. Hole in the sky, you know.
Reggie
Yeah, yeah, yeah. The men. Men like my grandpa Albert Lee. And again, it was Albert. Albert Lee. Albert Lee and Eddie and Eddie May as a.
Rich
They were. They were made for each other.
Ron
That's like movie type stuff. That's like. It's like it was written.
Reggie
And then the other side, Grandpa Edward and Larisse.
Rich
Oh, wow.
Reggie
That ain't really that easy, man. You larisse, you could, you could pro.
Rich
I don't think I'm. I don't know if you're coming up with a Larisse.
Reggie
Right.
Rich
Funny enough though, somebody on the text line because now everybody's going, they got Gladys, we got Joyce. Joyce Dot is a great old name, but somebody came with Esther. And I know an Esther that is less than 20 years old right now.
Ron
Really?
Reggie
That. There are some of those that are coming back. Yeah, Rose, those. Some of those are coming back.
Ron
Is Esther. Is, Is the Esther, you know, Hispanic?
Rich
No. No, she is not.
Ron
I mean, why, That's. I mean, why is. What's so funny, Ron?
Rich
I don't, I don't know what was so funny.
Reggie
Is the Esther Hispanic?
State Farm Announcer
Is that it?
Ron
Because if I, I mean, I, if I'm trying to think back to my upbringing and, and I, I. Esther is. I don't know exactly how it's pronounced in Spanish. I don't know, but I think that's a pretty popular, or I should say a popular unpopular name, if that makes sense. I think that's one of them that
Reggie
you coming up next. Maybe he can help us out.
Rich
There you go. He's got all the names. Just who did you go to high school with, John? Let me, let me hear these names.
Ron
Do you have any Esthers in Hispanic esters in San Antonio and San Antonio area?
Reggie
I think.
Ron
I'm not sure. I could be completely off there, but
Rich
I don't know if this is where you're playing on going.
Reggie
I just wanted to. We go at list, man. We can go where we want to go.
Rich
That's a great point. There's a lot of time.
Reggie
As long as you bank, man.
Ron
That's go to Oak and iron.
Reggie
Yeah. Go to. Yeah. Come on now. Hey, we, We. We need. We need your help again. It's a good point.
Rich
Oh, we got a bet on the bid on the Marcel Reese autographed helmet now.
Reggie
Oh, wow.
Rich
Okay. There's. There's still a couple of things that nobody's even bid on. Now. This is one that's interesting. I know that we got Cowboys fans in the, in the Houston area. I do wonder how many of our listeners are interested in it, though? But there is a Roger Stall Back autographed Cowboys photo. And I mean, Styleback's a great. A great player. Absolutely. In the history of the league. I just wonder how many people that we have listening are like, time to put down for the Roger Stallbot.
Reggie
You know, listen, I. I think the. The someone in that Otis area. That Otis get in here. We got something for. There's a notice, some of those names we were saying. And then maybe. Maybe somebody who is in the Navy. The connection with.
Rich
Yeah, Navy is a good one.
Reggie
With Roger being a Navy man, that might be something that somebody feels like they want to put up in the man cave.
Rich
So there's not a bit there, but I am. I'm astonished even. And maybe I'm. I'm, you know, ruining my own chances at this by bringing this up. Lot number seven, Hakeem Olajuwon autographed Houston Rockets jersey has. It has not had bid the first. And I don't understand that at all.
Reggie
Yeah.
Rich
Like, y' all can leave it to me if you really want to. I will win that auction, please. But I feel like that should be bid up some crazy, right?
Reggie
I would think so. I mean, yeah, especially when you see. I mean, Noah. I mean, I feel like we're kicking the guy, but, I mean, Marcel Reed is. Is getting.
Ron
Just saying.
Reggie
I'm just saying, don't worry.
Rich
JLo's coming on here
Reggie
in the history of the city. I mean, autographed with the jersey. Yeah, I mean, I. I believe. I believe that Start. Start to pick up. Damn it. Damn. Payne and Pender gas dinners plan are starting to pick up. Oh, wow. Yeah, he done.
Ron
He done. He done put that old post out. He did put that old tweet.
Rich
Now you need to get to posting yourself, buddy.
Reggie
Come on, Clint. I'm about to start campaigning, man.
Ron
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Reggie
We still lead in the bid.
Ron
I'll get it rolling. We still lead in the bids. I'll get it.
McDonald's Announcer
I'll get it.
Ron
I mean, look, this is. It's. We've got Tyler committed.
Reggie
Come on, man.
Ron
Hey, hey, boss man, boss man. Here's the deal. Whatever. Whatever date that is. The part of the deal is. Is Tyler has nothing. No. No work responsibilities after 6pm Clint. We ain't cutting no audio. We're not doing it. We're not. We're not doing any. Any uploads, right. At 6:00pm he's done what? Walking out the door. Actually, at 5:55, he's walking out the door. Me and Ron and. And we're going to Oak and iron. And it's. It's on and popping.
Reggie
Clint, we got a bid history of 510. 515. 520.
Ron
Well, hey, that. That's even. That's even better than I. Than I thought. If you look at it, you do the math. It was. It was 5 90, and with 10 bids, that means it's $10 increments. So if there's actually $5 increments in there, somebody actually bumped that thing bigger than 10. So that makes me. Me feel better.
Reggie
I've been in. I've been in there, boy. I'd have been in there. 5, 5.
Rich
5 90.
Reggie
25 on you. I got you. 5 50. 50 for you. All right, man. Hey, Clint, we appreciate it, man. Enjoy the fam. Enjoy the river, and enjoy your favorite holiday, or at least your second favorite holiday.
Rich
What was number one for you after,
Ron
man, come on, you know what's going on.
Rich
Oh, so you. You don't. You don't rate Thanksgiving? That's crazy.
Ron
I like Thanksgiving. I. Look, I like Thanksgiving.
Reggie
I do.
Ron
I just. I mean, it's. If it's not. If it's not wrapped around, you know, my. My. If food is not, you know, the. The centerpiece of my favorite. My favorite. My favorite vacations in my family always. Always growing up. I mean, hell, I'll be honest with you. I mean, it's my dad's side of the family that we spent most of our time with, and my. And I mean, hell, that more of them attended July 4th than they did Thanksgiving,
Pacifico Announcer
so.
Ron
So, I mean, we're a little offbeat here. I mean, but. But that's him. Damn, Sterners, boy, we'll. Y' all be good, man. Hey, everybody out there, happy fourth. Be safe. Have a great time. And. And make sure you hit that sportsradio6ten.com and whether it's the drive you want to hang out with or. Or the. The auction items, man, or, you know, the. The memorabilia. Get on it, man. It goes to a good cause. The. The Houston Food bank is. I mean, you can't. You can't touch no deeper than. Than making sure somebody's got food to eat, man. That's. That's big. So let's do our part, man. Appreciate you boys having me and. And big shout out to YouTube for making this happen again. It doesn't just happen on a Friday. The work and the thought and the planning that y' all put into this thing behind the scenes over the last two months, is is, is big time, man. So appreciate what y' all do, man. Love you boys. I'll see y' all next week.
Reggie
That is a Clint Sterner joining us in for a big 9 o' clock hour. Let's as we move towards the 10 o' clock hour, John Lopez will join us here in a bit. And, and we appreciate, Terry, as we talked about earlier, Robert, we appreciate you jumping in as well as again, we're trying to, to jump over what we did last year. And I know we're going to do it. I know we're going to do it and I know we're going to do it because you guys are the most amazing listening audience and you guys step up, share, let other people know as well. Again, as we talked about it, the Houston Food bank, they, they feed over a million people, 18 counties they are covering here in, in Houston, in the area and they need help all the time and they work so hard. If you've ever been to the food bank, you can see how hard it is that they work in everything. They're doing their operation and they are a must, a must for survival for many people in this city. And we want to, to try to give our, our time, our energy and, and now hopefully our money to help with them. And the best way to do that, so many of you guys have done a great job so far is to text RADIOTHON 26 all together, all one word RADIOTHON 26 to 71777. And that is the best way that you can jump in and help us out and help the food bank out, the Houston Food bank out in a big way. One dollar, guys. One dollar feeds three meals. Three meals. One dollar equals three meals. And so we want to help a ton. They were blown away by what we did last year. Let's blow them away again. And that's not the only way.
Ron
Right?
Reggie
You can get on that auction.
Rich
Auctions.
Reggie
There it is. There it is. Open and go ahead to sportsradio610.com and click on the link and it'll send you right to that auction page.
