The Dedeaux Download Podcast returns with Shotgun Spratling and podcast co-host Kasey Kazliner breaking down the news that USC baseball is back in the NCAA tournament for the second straight year after the Trojans were selected as an at-large team in the College Station Regional in Texas.

USC head coach Andy Stankiewicz joins the show to talk about the Trojans making it to back-to-back regionals for the first time since 2001-2002, his reaction to not being a regional host despite a No. 9 RPI as well as what the Trojans have to do better to take the next step and make it to a super regional after being in a regional final last year.

Stankiewicz also discusses how the Trojan coaching staff will try to use its Texas connections to prepare scouting reports and mentions the possibility of potentially 'pitching off' and saving Big Ten Pitcher of the Year Mason Edwards for a potential 1-0 matchup with host Texas A&M.

After a break, Shotgun and Kasey discuss the progression of the USC program making back-to-back regionals after only one in the previous two decades and take a look back at the action from the Big Ten Tournament where the Trojans went 1-1, losing a heartbreaking walk-off to rival UCLA in the tournament semifinals. They note three positives, including Augie Lopez's potential re-emergence and showing they are capable of beating the best teams in the nation. They also look at USC's struggles leaving men on base and some defensive struggles.

The podcasting duo close out the show previewing each of the teams that will also be in the College Station Regional alongside USC with host Texas A&M, No. 3-seed Texas State and four-seed Lamar, breaking down the potential starting pitchers the Trojans could face in the first two matchups.
