Dr. Jake Goodman
Walked out with a whole game plan. Their heat, neat sides, lifesavers and 365 staples like stuffing mix, cream of mushroom soup and green beans have made my pantry the quintessential Thanksgiving haven.

She's not lying.
Wilfred L
No, she's not. Deep thoughts with Danielle Fischl as we.
Danielle Fishel
Talk about closing out 2025. Would each of you like to share your favorite personal moment of 2025?
Wilfred L
Oh, wow. Yikes.
Danielle Fishel
I can go first because I know that mine is definitely from Dancing with the Stars and it's that Team Chicago.
Ryder Strong
Oh, okay.
Danielle Fishel
Team Chicago, group dance.
Dr. Jake Goodman
Yeah.
Ryder Strong
Ryder and I have notes.
Danielle Fishel
You're not allowed to give me notes on my personal favorite moment of 2022.
Wilfred L
I bet on the dance itself we have notes.
Ryder Strong
I don't know if you listened to our episode about that, but I was very, very positive about dance. I really loved that dance, and it.
Wilfred L
Was way better than that.
Ryder Strong
And I thought it was so cool. One of my takeaway was like, I wish you guys had done more together in groups because watching you in the backstage rehearsal with the other dancers, I was like, she's coming alive in a new way. And also, you were kind of directing at times. I could tell you were taking charge in certain and was like, this looks like a lot of fun. And I was like, that's so cool.
Danielle Fishel
So much fun. And it's one of the things that I think I'm gonna love about doing the live show. The tour, the live tour next year is that I will get to join in on the group dances. I'll get to be a part of that kind of stuff. It was easily the most fun experience. I mean, every week on Dancing with the Stars was really fun. That group dance was just. There was something special about it and bonded us and connected us in a way that we wouldn't have normally experienced. So that was like. That was a real high moment for me, man.
Wilfred L
One specific memory I can. I mean, in generalized terms, going and watching you on Dancing with the Stars was a ton of fun. Ryder and I doing POD meets Twirl.
Danielle Fishel
Was a ton of fun.
Wilfred L
There's a lot of. This was a strange year. I mean, my grandson was born this year, so there's a. A lot of. This was a strange year. A lot of very good things happened this year and a lot of very bad things.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah, a lot of high highs and low lows for you.
Wilfred L
So it was. Yeah, it was. It was amazing. Or it sucked.
Danielle Fishel
Right.
Wilfred L
So there's. Yeah, this is a year that the. The good stuff I'm. I'm going to look back at fondly, but I'm ready to move on from 2025.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah.
Wilfred L
So. But, yeah, there was. I mean, overall, I Having fun with you guys still, and we get to do some absolutely incredible things. I mean, this last 24 hours is a perfect example of just some cool stuff we get to do. So.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah.
Wilfred L
Yeah. It's hard for me to pick just one thing, but I guess if I had to pick one, it would be hard pressed to beat the grandson being born.
Danielle Fishel
Totally.
Dr. Jake Goodman
Yeah.
Danielle Fishel
100%, yeah. Ryder.
Ryder Strong
Oh, God. It's really hard. I don't know. I mean, I think because you guys are here and we're having this conversation, the final show. The final live show.
Wilfred L
Oh, yeah.
Ryder Strong
Sitting on stage there, like, when that ended and realizing how, I guess, long it had been that we'd been doing the show, and I sort of kind of assumed we always would. So when we were like, no, this is the last one, at least, you know, for the year, for the foreseeable future, I got really emotional, you know, and I was like, oh. And it reminded me of the emotion we had when we first started doing the live shows of, like, oh, my gosh, this is a thing. And people care about this, our podcast, and, like, that what we're doing and to feel that with the people in the room and, you know, it's been two and a half years of doing that show, and so I just. It got really emotional when we. And I'm so. I'll never forget that moment. And then personally, like, I took this amazing. Like we do every year, we always do a road trip and a camping trip. And yeah, there was one day I actually posted a video of this one waterfall that we found. It was just us and. And one other family that we do a lot of camping with, and we just stumbled upon this amazing waterfall in Oregon right before we were up in Oregon for, I guess, was our live show up there. It was right before, right after that, that it was just like one of the most magical places. You know, it's like driving along, we're like, oh, there's all these waterfalls along this one river valley and oh, which one do we, you know? Then you pull over for one. It's like, it's okay, whatever. And then we like pulled over and hiked about two miles in and it was the most astounding waterfall I've ever seen in my life.
Dr. Jake Goodman
Did you say it was like one.
Wilfred L
Of the best days of your life?
Ryder Strong
Yeah, no, no, that was a couple years ago.
Dr. Jake Goodman
It was. Okay, that's.
Ryder Strong
No, but this is a very similar vibe. It was just like when you stumble upon something that naturally gorgeous. And with my son and my wife and our friends, it was just like, oh, so overwhelming and like. Yeah. So I'll never forget that. That's a good one.
Danielle Fishel
I love that you get to have those moments every summer, basically. There's always like something on your road trip that like, that just takes my breath away.
Dr. Jake Goodman
Yeah.
Ryder Strong
That's why I keep doing it.
Danielle Fishel
That's why I do it. Yeah, right.
Wilfred L
Because it's like Danielle and I listen to it all the time. We're like, God, sounds magical.
Ryder Strong
Do you want to do it?
Wilfred L
No, no, no, no, we don't.
Danielle Fishel
But God, I like five star hotel massaging.
Wilfred L
Yeah.
Danielle Fishel
But also, I do think. I mean, I've said it. You've heard me saying it now for a few years. I do. If I knew how to camp the way Ryder knows how to do it.
Wilfred L
We're going this year.
Dr. Jake Goodman
I think.
Ryder Strong
If you can.
Wilfred L
20, 26. We're going this year, the three of us.
Ryder Strong
Okay. I think. Yeah. I mean, especially if you do it because now, you know, we've upgraded to a camper van the last three years. And it's amazing. It's so easy and comfortable and I.
Danielle Fishel
Could get a big tour bus.
Wilfred L
Yeah, I'm gonna talk to that massager.
Ryder Strong
You guys are gonna have a giant RV the size of the Yamava. That.
Danielle Fishel
That would be us at the Grand Canyon.
Ryder Strong
Like that. I want to.
Wilfred L
So we've talked about an idea we.
Dr. Jake Goodman
Have for a show.
Wilfred L
We won't get too much into that, but one of the things we have talked about is we each get to pick something we want to do. And one of the things I've always wanted to do, huge bucket list thing for me is whitewater rafting, which I've never done.
Danielle Fishel
I love it.
Wilfred L
So us going camping and then maybe taking a whitewater rafting trip. I Think has to be done in 2026.
Ryder Strong
Yeah, I'm down.
Danielle Fishel
All right, Trips. Well, we can't wait to see you all in 2026.
Wilfred L
Well, wait, I got one more question before everybody goes. And you can only pick one. What's one? New Year's revolution. Revolution for 2026.
Ryder Strong
Oh, gosh.
Danielle Fishel
Oh, yeah.
Ryder Strong
I was afraid that this was gonna come up.
Danielle Fishel
I have not thought about hope for 2026.
Ryder Strong
I don't know. Someone else go first. I'll think about it. I've got one right away.
Wilfred L
I'm finishing my book this year.
Ryder Strong
Oh, nice.
Wilfred L
So I'm 300 pages into a book that I've been writing, and I'm finishing it this year. Whether no one reads it, I'm gonna write the End and just be done with it this year. That's a big one for me.
Danielle Fishel
Great. You could write the end on January 1st. Yeah.
Wilfred L
I'd like to finish it, though, instead of just writing the End. Yeah, that's a big one for me. So that's mine.
Danielle Fishel
That's great.
Wilfred L
Yeah.
Danielle Fishel
I don't know. I have joked, and I don't know how much of it is a joke, but I said, you know, last year was my year of yes, and I got to do so many amazing things. It was a lot. And so this year's my year of no. But with that said, I'm starting off the year with something I said yes to in 2025, which is the Dancing with the Stars tour.
Dr. Jake Goodman
The tour.
Danielle Fishel
And so. So I feel like what I'm really trying to say with the year of no is that I have not always been good about finding true balance in the things I say yes to professionally. Cause we are so lucky that there are so many different things we enjoy doing and we get the opportunity to do that. I always feel like, well, I wanna say yes to that because it's something that will challenge me. It's a new experience for me. But then that means I am spread thin and everything kind of suff. So my goal for this year is to say no to things, not because I don't want to do them, but because I think they will make other things suffer and find a way to be more selective.
Dr. Jake Goodman
Balance.
Wilfred L
You're looking for that balance.
Danielle Fishel
I want to find a little bit of balance. That's great. That's awesome. That's my hope.
Ryder Strong
Yeah.
Danielle Fishel
See how I do?
Ryder Strong
I think I have a similar hope. Yeah, pretty similar. Because I. I've been working so hard for the last couple years on a couple different projects that are coming to fruition next month or like in the next couple months. So. And we'll talk about them, I'm sure.
Wilfred L
As we get into January.
Ryder Strong
But I have a gin. And then I have a podcast project and they've taken up so much energy and time.
Wilfred L
You have two podcast projects? Well, yes, yes.
Ryder Strong
But the one that I've been working on on my own has been, you know, a while. And so these things, I guess the. I'm hoping. I've been working so hard and like, anytime I've had free time, that's all I do. Right. And literally waking up at like 4:30 in the morning to write every day and do. Because we're also working full time on this and doing, you know, tour. Like, it's been. So these side projects have been taking up all of my free time, and now that they're becoming my main thing for a little while at least, I'm hoping that I can just be present.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah.
Ryder Strong
You know, because I feel like I've always been a little. Because I've had these projects, I've always been like, you know, working or playing and like, kind of not present in either because. Because I have this other thing in the back of my mind. And like, so I want to be, like, able to just be more present in wherever I am. Whether it's, you know, enjoying these projects, being out in the world, or, you know, relaxing because I don't have to keep working on them anymore.
Danielle Fishel
Right.
Ryder Strong
And just being like, ah, it's okay. Yeah, exactly.
Dr. Jake Goodman
Embrace the quiet.
Ryder Strong
Yeah.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah, I like it. Well, you need less quiet.
Dr. Jake Goodman
What?
Wilfred L
I love the quiet.
Danielle Fishel
I know.
Wilfred L
I'm wrapped in the quiet.
Danielle Fishel
You are wrapped in the quiet.
Wilfred L
The quiet is magical. I'm one of those people. It's the nature of our business. I am at zero or I am at a thousand. There's kind of no in between. I'm doing. I'm all over the place and flying all over the place. Or I'm in my home with my wife and we're just chilling for three days straight, so there's kind of no in between. And I kind of like it that way, if I'm honest.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah.
Wilfred L
So, yeah, again, you just live a different life when you don't have kids.
Dr. Jake Goodman

Do you guys. Could we. Should we talk about your next podcast?
Dr. Jake Goodman
Like have we announced? I mean we talked about it, didn't we?
Wilfred L
It's coming in.
Ryder Strong
What's happening soon? Yeah, I guess. Yeah.
Wilfred L
So we're continuing Pod meets Twirl.
Ryder Strong
Uh huh.
Danielle Fishel
But Pod meets Twirld is going to become.
Wilfred L
We liked Pod meets Twirled, obviously. So we're gonna keep it. Pod meets Twirled presents Traiting places.
Ryder Strong
Wordplay. Yes.
Wilfred L
I love a good wordplay, my friend. And we're going to be watching the new season of Traitors and becoming experts on that as we have become dance experts.
Danielle Fishel
You know who's on the new season of Traitors as a perfect tie in is Mr. Mark Ballas.
Wilfred L
Mark Ballas. Who will hopefully get a chance to talk to.
Danielle Fishel
Absolutely. I hope so. And you should also have on my dear friend Dylan Efron.
Wilfred L
As long as it's just on Zoom. I don't like to stand too close to him. He's too much of a male specimen. And I just feel bad about myself being in the same room.
Danielle Fishel
Came over to our house the other day and was hanging outside in the front yard and I went inside to go set something up and I came out and he had taken his shirt off and was just like laying on the driveway with my kids and my husband. And I was like, what?
Ryder Strong
What?
Danielle Fishel
How does one look like that?
Wilfred L
I'd imagine you'd hear things from his house, like from the other room, like, hey, I've just found another ab like that.
Dr. Jake Goodman
Like what?
Ryder Strong
Yeah.
Wilfred L
So that's.
Ryder Strong
So we should say that the impetus for this is much like the Dancing with the Stars. I have never seen an episode of Traitors. I have no idea what the show is. I know it's somewhat like the Game Mafia. Like the. Yeah.
Wilfred L
And I know I can win it.
Ryder Strong
And you've seen it and you.
Wilfred L
And I'm gonna win it. So that's the difference.
Danielle Fishel
I have watched at least half of Dylan's season. There is a moment, at least in that season where I turned the corner from just like I enjoy watching this to I now have to watch every episode of this.
Dr. Jake Goodman
Dylan.
Wilfred L
Dylan faked being nice very well.
Danielle Fishel
Stop it.
Wilfred L
That's what I would say about Dylan Efron. We all know what he's doing.
Danielle Fishel
You also should try to have Boston Rob on.
Wilfred L
Yeah. I mean, again, it's just. Wait, Ryder. It's gonna be so much fun.
Ryder Strong
I mean, I'm a Survivor fan, so I feel like this is in the same vein of, like, strategy and. But obviously they're not in a deserted island.
Wilfred L
No, they're in a beautiful Scottish castle with an amazing host who's fabulous.
Danielle Fishel
The host is Alan Cummings.
Wilfred L
Alan Cummings. Just wait.
Danielle Fishel
Phenomenal. The wardrobe, the bits, the lines, the.
Wilfred L
Looks, and it's gonna be exactly what Danielle said we're gonna be for the first four episodes. You're gonna be like, dude, I don't get this. I hate it. I don't know what's going on. And then the next day, you're gonna be silent and we're gonna get on. You're gonna be like, I.
Ryder Strong
Or not Will. Maybe I'll be the reverse. This is so awesome. And then be diminishing returns.
Wilfred L
Yeah, I doubt that, knowing you as I do, but it's gonna be fun.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah. I wanted. I like all the challenges on Traders. I wouldn't be able. I don't. I would. I think I would be terrible at the strategy part of it.
Ryder Strong
Yeah, me too. Because if it involves lying to people's faces.
Danielle Fishel
Well, you don't have to lie if you're. Well, you.
Dr. Jake Goodman
Yes, you do.
Wilfred L
It's all about lying.
Danielle Fishel
You don't have to lie if you're a faithful.
Wilfred L
No, that's true.
Danielle Fishel
If you're a faithful, which is the majority of the people, there's like, say.
Wilfred L
You know, three writers and 15 faithful kind of thing.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah. Or three. And, you know, 15 total people. 12 faithfuls, three traders or whatever.
Ryder Strong
Yeah, I would be so bad at this. Like, have you guys ever played Secret Hitler doing the board game?
Wilfred L
That's what this is.
Ryder Strong
I would be so upset when I would be the. You know, I would only want to be the innocent people. Whatever. I was like, I can't play this. I'm a Nazi. Sorry. Yeah, just tell the truth.
Wilfred L
Sorry.
Ryder Strong
Play the next round.
Wilfred L
I would want to be a faithful because it would be easier, but the sociopathy side of me would be a very good trader is the problem. I'm sure you are such a sociopath is the problem. So.
Ryder Strong
Yeah, Will's lying to us now.
Danielle Fishel
Exactly.
Ryder Strong
He was never on Boy Meets World.
Danielle Fishel
He's never been on Friend. He doesn't even like us.
Wilfred L
I'm Matt Lawrence. What's up, buddy?
Public Investing Announcer
It's been me the whole time, buddy.
Ryder Strong
Takes the bath.
Wilfred L
Just pull off the mask, put on an iguana.
Ryder Strong
What's up, buddy? Show off the abs.
Wilfred L
That's another one with too many abs. We love you, Matty.
Danielle Fishel
Well, thank you all, all 50 million of you, for listening to another episode of Pod Meets World. And thank you again to the incredible folks here at Yamava Resort and Casino.
Wilfred L
Thank you.
Danielle Fishel
We recommend a trip to Yamava. Any chance you get, tell them Danielle sent you. They may give you a spatula set. Did you guys notice the spatulas?
Dr. Jake Goodman
We did last time.
Wilfred L
It was a Cuisinart. It was a panini press.
Danielle Fishel
Tell this story.
Wilfred L
What happened. So you walk around and there's these gifts that certain people can. If you're a member of the team or whatever it is.
Danielle Fishel
Hold on, I want to interrupt you, because that reminds me that I wanted to tell everyone the moment we had when we talked about Yamava the very first time. Pre show chatter. Will had just been here.
Wilfred L
It was amazing.
Danielle Fishel
He talked about it so glowingly. Do you know how many people thought that that pre show chatter was us doing an ad? And people were furious that we didn't disclose that it was an ad. And we have to disclose when something's an ad. And I was like, we didn't, because.
Ryder Strong
It wasn't an ad.
Danielle Fishel
Will just loved it so much. Seriously, that because you loved it so much, now they've invited us here. Yeah. But anyways, you're welcome. When you were here that first time, you and Susan were walking around, and.
Wilfred L
Everybody was walking around with these boxes that were these Cuisinart panini presses. And we were like, what?
Dr. Jake Goodman
What are we missing?
Ryder Strong
How do we get one?
Wilfred L
And then we found out that it's like. I think it's. If you're a member of the resort casino club, I think you got a deal on it or was part of some. And then we heard that they tried to mail us one, but I guess they mailed it to somewhere else. So I'm convinced there's someone at iheart right now making delicious paninis without mail. Yeah, one of you. But, yeah, now it's spatulas, I think is what everybody had.
Danielle Fishel
So. Yeah, I know. Jensen said, why is that lady carrying spatulas? And I then pictured one silicone spatula that somebody must have had in their hand just walking around, just walking around. And I was like, I can't see anybody with a spatula. And then he said, that guy has spatulas, too. And I'm still looking for, like, a single and then I realized there are people walking around with a box of spatulas.
Wilfred L
Spatulae?
Danielle Fishel
Yes. It wasn't just spatula, it's things like.
Ryder Strong
Are we just accepting spatulas?
Wilfred L
Yes we are. Yes we are.
Ryder Strong
It's not spatula.
Wilfred L
That's a different Harry Potter spell.
Ryder Strong
Spatula.
Danielle Fishel
No, it was just kitchen utensils. Like a five pack or have kitchen utensils. And then once I noticed that I couldn't stop seeing them. They were everywhere.
Wilfred L
And I'm sure they're going to mail them to us. And then someone at iheart will get three sets of spatula to enjoy with their panini press, which I didn't get.
Ryder Strong
Wow.
Danielle Fishel
I can't wait to receive mine. I felt a little left out.
Wilfred L
That was not an ad. This place is awesome and I wanted everyone to know it. That's just all it was.

Danielle Fishel
Well the fact that we have now chalked up 50 million downloads means more to us than you all could ever imagine. We are very thankful for all of you. And as you may have read in Variety, we have re signed with our amazing partners at I Heart Podcasts. So we will officially be continuing our Pod Meets World podcast well beyond the end of our recaps, which is going to be a bittersweet feeling.
Wilfred L
Well, do we know what we're we're.
Danielle Fishel
We don't know what we're doing but they they want us to keep talking. So.
Ryder Strong
So we've been doing it for 30 years. Why stop now?
Danielle Fishel
I know exactly. I I mean do we want to have a real conversation about it right now? Real quick, do you guys have totally turned the corner on something and it makes me a Little mad.
Wilfred L
It does. I, I, I know, I know what we have to do next, I think.
Ryder Strong
Yeah.
Danielle Fishel
And I, I just won't do it.
Wilfred L
Will you really not.
Danielle Fishel
I don't want to do it.
Ryder Strong
She's going to say no. To create that boundary.
Wilfred L
So what do we do?
Ryder Strong
Year of the year of.
Wilfred L
What do we do if one of us, one of us just knows the other two.
Dr. Jake Goodman
It makes perfect.
Wilfred L
It's just the, it's built in ease.
Danielle Fishel
It's not though, because it's. We're talking about Girl Meets World.
Wilfred L
We're talking about Girl Meets World.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah. It's not our show.
Wilfred L
It was your show and Ryder directed.
Ryder Strong
It every single day.
Public Investing Announcer
Yeah.
Ryder Strong
I directed 18 episodes.
Danielle Fishel
I was not the star of Girl Meets World.
Wilfred L
None of us were the star of Boy Meets World.
Danielle Fishel
That's arguable. And to do a show we're going to with an adult lens, that was a show for six to nine year olds.
Ryder Strong
Right.
Danielle Fishel
To talk about it and break it down the way we have done the very mature adult and well roundedness of Boy Meets World. To do it for a show that's for six to nine year olds where there are other children who are the. I don't think we could do it. I don't think we could do it fairly. And I don't think it's our, it's, I don't think we have the perspective, I don't know that we have the good perspective for it.
Ryder Strong
Well, we don't have the same distance. Right. It's closer in time. Yeah.
Danielle Fishel
Only a decade ago.
Ryder Strong
It's only a decade ago. We are not as intimately involved as we were with Boymie's World, obviously. So it's a different experience. Like, I think we go into it, we're not gonna like so much of the podcast going back to watch boy material is like, do you remember that? Can you believe we did that? Can you believe that happened? None of that kind of stuff. And the sort of like collision of perspectives that we had on throughout this experience of like adult us looking at children, us like that won't be there, you know, what instead will be there, though, is sort of just an analysis and discussion of the continuation of the Boy Meets World universe. And I feel like we have come to terms with certain aspects of Boy Meets World that we never quite wrapped our heads around. And so I feel like there's a story that, you know, we've been absorbing and discussing on this podcast that continues with Topanga and Cory and Sean and Eric into the Girl Meets World universe. And I Feel like if we come at it from. Well, let's just see where those characters go and discuss how they ended up. And we can be.
Danielle Fishel
You know, but we could do that by picking the, say, five to 10 episodes that actually talk about those characters. We could just do a watch of those.
Ryder Strong
But why not look at the whole universe and discuss about, you know, like, the. I also take Ryder's official Boy Meets World storylines, and I take Ryder's seat.
Wilfred L
In this one, because I've literally never. I saw one episode that I was in. Like, I've never seen Girl Meets World.
Ryder Strong
And I haven't seen most of the episodes.
Wilfred L
He hadn't seen any of Boy Meets World. So it's like, I. I truly am going in blind. I have never seen the show.
Ryder Strong
And I think because we don't have as much ownership or. I mean, I did a lot of the episodes, and you were in them all, but we don't have as much. I don't think. I think we would come at it with a much lighter touch, probably, than we have Boy Meets World. Because I think there's a little bit of sense of ownership over Boy Meets World, even though we were children. But there's a sense of, like, oh, this is ours. We can comment on this.
LG Gram Announcer
Yeah.
Ryder Strong
But I think we'd probably come at growing toward the lighter touch. Cause also, it would just get boring if we're like, this show's not as good as Boy Meets World. Okay. Because I think that's probably the case. I think that's probably the first thing we're gonna experience. Cause that's what I remember feeling on the set was like, oh, this just isn't quite as good as we wanted it to be.
Danielle Fishel
Disney Channel is different on ABC Primetime. 93 to 99 is a different landscape for television than 2014 to 2017.
Wilfred L
A lot of differences.
Ryder Strong
But I think there, though. Yeah, but there's a lot. There's a lot of story there that I like, especially at the. What's so funny now is, like, for me, going back to Girl Meets World, and I would be having conversations with Ben and Michael and everybody else, and.
Dr. Jake Goodman
And.
Ryder Strong
And they would remember things from Boy Meets World and have to explain them to me.
Danielle Fishel
Same. I.
Ryder Strong
No clue what was going on. I had never seen Boy Meets World. And I was like, why are we doing this? Like, weird snoring, yapping. Oh, it's a reference to season one. And I'd be like, what are we doing now? I kind of do. So if I saw those things, you'd think, ironically I'd be closer to them now than when I was performing them on Girl Meets World.
Danielle Fishel
I guess the argument that convinces me more than anything is just that it feels like if we're gonna ever do Girl Meets World, we should do it immediately after Boy Meets World versus, like, my preference, honestly, what I'm pretty fighting for. I want to do Friends. I've never seen every episode of Friends.
Ryder Strong
We can do that after we do that.
Danielle Fishel
And that's what I'm saying is that it would be silly to, like, go from Boy Meets World, do seven or eight seasons of Friends, and then go like, let's go back and do Girl Meets World. It does kind of only make sense to just continue the story, put the.
Ryder Strong
Button on it, finish the journey knowing that it's going to be slightly different.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah. And we try one season, and we also don't need to take, you know, three years to do three seasons. We can just kind of.
Wilfred L
We can bust through them very quickly.
Dr. Jake Goodman
And again, nothing is forever.
Wilfred L
If we're 10 episodes in and we're like, we don't like this.
Danielle Fishel
I don't like that idea. We can just start. You finish. You start a book. You have to finish the book. I know it starts, but, I mean, don't you.
Ryder Strong
Here's a question that doesn't. Hasn't every single one of our listeners who are listening right now, 50 million of them, 50 million listeners, they all watched Girl Meets World.
Danielle Fishel
50 million people watch Girl Meets World every single week. That was the rate. Those were the ratings.
Wilfred L
The same people are watching the same 50 million people watch Girl Meets World. The same 50 million that listen to.
Ryder Strong
Our podcast numbers are not adding up. But I feel like, you know, they all watched it and maybe didn't finish it, but they all tried it. Right. If you're a fan of Pod Meets World, it's because you were a fan of Boy Meets World, which means you probably gave Girl Meets World a shot at one point. So I think.
Danielle Fishel
I disagree, but really. But, yeah, I think there's actually.
Ryder Strong
So you think a lot of our listeners only watch Boy Meets World? Never touched Girl Meets World, Never even looked at it.
Dr. Jake Goodman
I think they're.
Wilfred L
I think that's. I think that's probably accurate.
Ryder Strong
Oh, wow.
Wilfred L
I do.
Ryder Strong
I think.
Wilfred L
I think probably a good majority of our listeners that had kids probably tried Girl Meets World, but some that grew up watching the show that didn't have kids or aren't quite there to have.
Dr. Jake Goodman
Kids yet probably might not have gone.
Ryder Strong
To Girl Meets World, never even checked it out.
Dr. Jake Goodman
Once again, you're talking about Disney Channel.
Wilfred L
They also, there's some, there's the certain.
LG Gram Announcer
People that were probably like, I don't.
Wilfred L
Want to ruin Boy Meets World in any way, shape or form. And then there's other people that are probably like, I don't have to be a Disney Channel show or I don't have cable. I mean, it is such a different world.
Ryder Strong
But I'm just saying the Venn diagram of Pod Meets World listeners like, yeah, Boy Meets World viewers who did not watch Girl Meets World. Totally. But our listeners are the people that are interested in Pod Meets or Boy Meets World related content.
Danielle Fishel
Right.
Ryder Strong
So I'm saying the Venn diagram is pretty likely that. Yeah, like 95.
Wilfred L
What percentage. If we put it out there and said to all our listeners, what percentage want us to do Girl Meets World? What percentage do you think would say they want us to do Girl or.
Danielle Fishel
Some and, or any other show?
Wilfred L
Like, well, they definitely want us to do another show.
Ryder Strong
So we're just gonna do this like, like the Cory Topanga wedding. Like we just have a. Put it to the listeners and have a website.
Wilfred L
I, I would bet it would be. At least 80% of our listeners would want us to do Girl Meet.
Ryder Strong
I was going to say 75.
Danielle Fishel
Really? I would say 20.
Dr. Jake Goodman
You think only 20% of the people.
Wilfred L
Listening to our podcast want to.
Danielle Fishel
20% of people are interested in hearing any additional word about Girl Me, unless.
Wilfred L
What they're doing is what I'm doing, which is they've never seen it either. And they're like, I guess if they're going to watch it, I'll watch it too. And they're going to watch along with it.
Danielle Fishel
If they're going to watch it, I'll stop listening to podcast.
Ryder Strong
I think that's what it's gonna be watch.
Danielle Fishel
Our ratings go from 50 million downloads per episode to 1 million per episode.
Wilfred L
I'm interested in watching again. I'm also one of those people, though. I just like doing this. I like hanging out with you guys.
Ryder Strong
If we were gonna go do Friends.
Wilfred L
We'Ll go do Friends, whatever. But I think there is something interesting about continuing the continuity of the world and just wrapping it out.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah. I mean, you have me at it's a continuation of the world and we, we, we have the ability to put a button on.
Ryder Strong
Yes.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah, yeah. And yeah, the logic of that.
Wilfred L
I also do this on, on Magical Rewind. I had to get over the fact that I'm watching something that's for 13 year olds.
Danielle Fishel
Right.
Wilfred L
Because it's very easy to just sit there and go, this movie sucks because it's like. And I have to go, well, wait a minute.
Ryder Strong
It's.
Wilfred L
It's a movie for kids. You get out of your head.
Dr. Jake Goodman
You're 50.
Wilfred L
It's a movie for kids. And so I'd have to do that.
Dr. Jake Goodman
With Girl Meets World as well, because.
Wilfred L
I. I know that a show for little kids. It's not Boy Meets World. It's a show for little kids. So that would be a difficult transition for me. I don't know about you guys, but it'd be a difficult transition.
Ryder Strong
First season, Boy Meets World.
Danielle Fishel
I know.
Ryder Strong
Not that far from Boy Meets World.
Dr. Jake Goodman
We thought it was great. We thought it was great.
Wilfred L
And we know the kids are awesome on the show.
Ryder Strong
I mean, they loved working full time. So I have only positive memories.
Wilfred L
I just. I don't know anything about the show.
Danielle Fishel
I know it is where I got my directing start. It would be nice to go back.
Wilfred L
And see whole new group of writers to interview. Whole new group of. Well, for the most part, some. Some new writers to interview.
Ryder Strong
I was gonna say. Not that many, actually.
Danielle Fishel
Randy Barnes would be great.
Wilfred L
Randy would be great. We'd have a new crew to interview and people I've never met and don't know. And I've never seen the show.
Ryder Strong
I mean, I don't know.
Danielle Fishel
Well, as always, we let you in on the inside.
Ryder Strong
Yeah, we just had. I thought we were signing off. Instead, we're like, let's talk about it right now.
Unrivaled Basketball Announcer
Right now, live.
Ryder Strong
There's no net. We're gonna make this decision with our listeners. My God.
Dr. Jake Goodman
This is why people like our shows.
Ryder Strong
I guess it goes into different directions. You know, Danielle is drawing those boundaries. Balance. In this year of no.
Wilfred L
Yeah, as long as Danielle has her underwear on. While we're recapping, I think we're fin.
Danielle Fishel
Thank you all for listening to this episode of Pod Meets World. As always, you can follow us on Instagram Pod Meets World show. You can send us your emails podmeetsworldshowmail.com and we've got merch.
Wilfred L
Ms. Merch if you're nasty.
Danielle Fishel
Speaking of merch, I actually hear our friends at Yamava have a gift for us. I don't know.
Ryder Strong
Oh, spatula. Spatula. Oh, my God. No. There's more than a spatula. This is pencil set.
Danielle Fishel
I told you it was more than.
Ryder Strong
I kind of like the idea of a whole bunch of people walking around a casino with, like, a plastic spatula. What? This is spatula. Spatula. Spatulum.
Public Investing Announcer
Wow.
Ryder Strong
Spatula. I know, that's what I remember you learning Latin.
Danielle Fishel
This is so nice.
Ryder Strong
This is amazing.
Danielle Fishel
It's a six piece serving utensil set. It has stainless utensils with hole for hanging, dishwasher safe, a ladle, a skimmer, a serving spoon, a slotted spoon, a pasta server, and a slot. Slotted spatula.
Wilfred L
God, I love a slotted spatula.
Danielle Fishel
This is amazing. Thank you, guys.
Dr. Jake Goodman
And a slow cooker.
Wilfred L
These are great because they're slow.
Ryder Strong
It's a slow cooker. You know what's just the laziest dad joke? He gets away with it all the time.
Danielle Fishel
Jensen got a book of dad jokes for Christmas. You know what? I love these 3 quart slow cookers for dips. When you have a party and you make. Make a dip.
Wilfred L
Yeah. Dip should be a meal.
Danielle Fishel
Like an artist. Yeah.
Wilfred L
Yeah. Dip should be a meal.
Danielle Fishel
Let's have a dip party.
Ryder Strong
Oh, my God.
Wilfred L
Everybody make a different dip with a.
Dr. Jake Goodman
Different thing you have to do.
Danielle Fishel
Some people dip it and use. These are like fondue parties in the.
Ryder Strong
70S that turned into key parties and everybody had problems. Yeah.
Wilfred L
So we'll figure it out.
Danielle Fishel
We'll figure it out. Without the keys.
Wilfred L
But without the keys.
Danielle Fishel
A dip party. All right.
Wilfred L
I love a good dip.
Ryder Strong
Dip swing.
Danielle Fishel
I'm gonna have to say no to.
Wilfred L
It, but.
Ryder Strong
One of you suggested one.
Danielle Fishel
Of you guys put that together and I will say no.
Ryder Strong
See you next year.
Danielle Fishel
See you next year. 2026, y'.
Ryder Strong
