And when I tell you that we just held court at a craps table at the bottom of the Fontainebleau Hotel.

For five hours, four to five hours, we are up thousands of dollars.

Number 76, who played for the Raiders, played for the Bills, played 49ers. He's been a huge fan of Boy Meets World. Huge fan of Pod Meets World. He will come on eventually.

He was the NFL player that was. That was. A picture was taken of him walking to training camp wearing Pod Meets World.

Merch, which is great. But more importantly, he made us again. And I don't mean to really bring it up again, but I need people to understand. He made us thousands of dollars. Okay, so everyone, every one of our teams. So from host to husband, spouse, wife, producer, everyone was in. Everyone was in. And I'm going to tell you, everyone won thousands of dollars. It is so shocking that people walked by and were like, the Boy Meets World people are winning tons of money. And Danielle's s eating grin of. Finally, she has brought other people into her addiction. Watching people.

Writer, writer. Sitting across from me at first with a scowl. What's that? What's that?

[Angel]

He was judging the entire time like this.

[Ryder Strong]

Yes.

Did you hear him talking? But again, where I'm like. Somebody said to me, like, hey, so why are you putting that money down? I went, I don't know. They went, well, wait, why'd you pick that up? I went, oh, I don't know. And they're like, well, wait, you doubled down. I'm like, I did. They're like, why? I was like, I don't know. Ryder. I just heard talking to the guy running the tables, like, exactly. Why are you putting money on this number as opposed to this number?

Why?

Over here is where I'm just going. I said to somebody like, hey, what's going on? I went, when I cheer, they put more money down. When everyone goes, aw, they take it away. And so awesome.

[Angel]

Just don't do the. Don't do the awe thing.

Don't do the aw. And it's the best game ever.

Okay, so for those who don't play craps, it's a dice game where you try to hit a certain number and then you. You.

I still don't understand the rules. Thousands of dollars. I still don't understand what happened.

People will say, like, oh, I think they're going to hit an 8. And then you can guess on how they're going to hit that eight. Two fours or, you know, it's all odds based on who's going to roll the dice. You don't want to roll a seven. At some points, it's a. It's a complicated game.

At some points, right?

At some points, you like it?

Yeah. I was going to say, at some points, people are going, yay.

I'm going to give a statistic, and I want you guys to tell me if you think I'm lying. We lost 15% of the time and we played for hours.

Are you kidding? Yeah, I think that's accurate. They just kept handing out money. And I was like, how does. How is Vegas a thing? Like, how do we not just everyone surround these tables and all the people hand out money all the time?

[Ryder Strong]

So I want to talk to angel, who also has never played craps. And earlier tonight, she said, I'm going to go and play some roulette. I love roulette. I'm just going to pop over there for a minute. We were. Jensen and I were playing ultimate Texas hold'em. She disappeared for six minutes. It was like seven. Seven. Okay.

[Jensen Karp]

I lost my car.

[Ryder Strong]

And then she came back and she was like, all right, it's not gonna be a problem. I'm gonna. I'm gonna make that back. But I am. It is a bad sign when the dealer says, maybe you should go try your numbers at another table.

[Jensen Karp]

Oh, no.

[Ryder Strong]

That is what happened.

[Angel]

Really?

[Ryder Strong]

The dealer said, you know what? You should go over there and try it over at that table.

[Jensen Karp]

Have you thought of just eating pizza instead of.

[Ryder Strong]

I did. How much did you lose? Well, I lost 500. You lost 500?

Oh, man.

[Ryder Strong]

In like seven minutes. Yes. It was so fast. Yes, it was. It was very quick. Yeah. So I went to go find my friends and I found them at a table. Yep.

And then we were.

[Will Friedle]

We were there.

[Ryder Strong]

Craps table. And I was like, wow. You know, I've always wanted to play craps. Yep. And I looked at Danielle and she's like, me, too. And this. This has to be it. I was like, me three. And there was an. So there was every. There were three tables. Two of the other tables were already full and this was an empty table. And so we were like, it's an empty table if we just walk up and say we don't know what we're doing. We've never played this game before.

Yep.

[Ryder Strong]

Could we, could you help us? And he goes, yeah, absolutely. All you need. There was no one else there. Yeah. He goes, all you need is money. And I said, I'm your.

[Jensen Karp]

I'm your girl. I'm your girl. I can do that.

[Ryder Strong]

Your girl.

[Jensen Karp]

I can do that.

[Ryder Strong]

I'm your girl. Here's some money. And then he started like trying to tell us. He's like, all right, here's what you're going to do. The first person's going to roll. And then. Thing about the dice is that it goes around in a clockwise fashion so everybody gets a chance to roll. It's. There's a lot. When, when then it started getting full. We had a full table. No room to. To butt in and put your money.

[Jensen Karp]

I also got the greatest nickname I've ever had. Yes.

[Ryder Strong]

Can we let Susan tell it?

[Jensen Karp]

Oh, God.

Handsome man. Handsome man.

They were just cheering handsome man. As I rolled the dice. It was the greatest thing. I was like, wait a second. So everyone's calling me handsome and then just handing me cash.

[Ryder Strong]

Yes.

This is the greatest thing ever. I also shout out to the fountain blue because so far we've. Susan and I have sat down now at two games or come to two games. And they've just taken the time to be like, oh, let us teach you how to play.

[Ryder Strong]

I know.

[Jensen Karp]

And all of the dealers here are like, we, we want you to win.

[Ryder Strong]

Oh yeah.

[Angel]

I tell you how much I can, I can sum up how much money we made. This is not an ad Will out of nowhere just praised a billion dollar hotel. We don't get paid for it at all. Other than the idea that we're all just giddy.

We need a lot of money to be here, actually.

So I do also want to say that we have been awake since 5am Basically.

I also have to point out I.

Woke up at 5am this morning and it is now 1:15am and I'm still, still wear.

I was going to say the same.

I put on at 6am first time.

In 30 some odd years I've seen Danielle wear the same clothes for all day long. I've never seen that once in my life to the point where I thought it was a mistake.

[Angel]

There are people. There are people in Las Vegas who at around 7 or 8am saw Danielle playing cards in this outfit. They don't know what happened the rest of the day, but they walked by her at 11:30pm and she was wearing the same outfit while gambling, while playing crap.

[Jensen Karp]

That was. It was the. Again, no joke, the most fun I've ever had.

[Angel]

It was so fun.

[Jensen Karp]

We were crying, laughing, shout out to whoever Fred is.

[Ryder Strong]

Okay, so we gotta talk about our friends.

[Jensen Karp]

Let's talk about Fred.

[Angel]

A lot of friends. A lot of friends.

[Ryder Strong]

Some really fun things that happen at a craps table is that you may start playing with like $200 and you're like, whoa, look at this. I've now got $400. And then somebody walks up next to you and they're like, hi. And they lay down like $4,000 to play with. And you're like, oh, oh, we're playing the same game.

[Jensen Karp]

Okay, okay.

[Ryder Strong]

Fred walked up.

[Jensen Karp]

Fred laid down two to four grand. I don't know exactly what it was. They gave him tons of chips and he then littered the craps table with hundred dollar chips.

[Jensen Karp]

Well, you notice the people, the dealers at the table knew his name. That's gotta mean something. When you walk up to the table and they go, hi, Fred.

[Ryder Strong]

Hi, Fred.

[Jensen Karp]

You know something's up.

[Ryder Strong]

Okay, so Fred, Fred started hitting. He was betting low, high, and he had like $100 on low, high.

[Jensen Karp]

Still don't know what that is.

[Ryder Strong]

Okay, so either low or high, it's either going to be. What is that going to be? It's going to be a two, lowest number or the highest number. High or low.

[Angel]

You're betting on the 2 and the 12.

[Ryder Strong]

The 2 and the very bad.

[Jensen Karp]

Just the 2 and the 12?

[Ryder Strong]

Yeah.

[Jensen Karp]

So if you get an 11 or a 10, it's not high, low.

[Angel]

Not that one.

And if you hit that, whatever he was getting, he was getting like $3,000 back from that one chip he was playing.

Did you see at one point they were giving out so much money at our table they had to refill our chips that not only did they have to refill our chips, but they were four dealers going like doing math in front of us, like, oh, wait, this person gets $600. So I was. So Susan and I walked over and we again, like, you guys when you came over, had no idea how to play craps in any way, shape or form. And then if I understood the rules, we were standing there watching you. You sit there and you go, yeah. And they hand you money, right?

Yes.

That's what it looked like. You know what?

That's literally what it looked like.

Okay, so that sounds like a hyperbole.

Truly, there was then an audience of people who we were that table tonight. That people were like, did you look at that table?

Yeah, we dominated.

I. I had to pee the whole time, five hours. And I would not leave.

I was like, guys, I'm going to either pass out or pee my pants.

Exactly. My bladder is going to explode. But that's going to cost me fifteen hundred dollars.

Danielle was up a couple thousand. At one point she looked at me and she goes, I'm going to have to pass out if I want to leave this table. She was like the Cory Booker of Vegas. She's like, I'm not leaving this podium until I die.

[Jensen Karp]

It was the most insane. And again, I still don't know how to play.

[Angel]

Yeah, that is actually true. That's actually true.

[Jensen Karp]

Still have no idea how to play.

[Angel]

Will. Will won a very large amount of money and has no idea what he did.

[Jensen Karp]

Nope.

[Angel]

I don't know how you would do that. So also there was. We had how many players amongst us? We probably had about eight players at least.

[Ryder Strong]

Fred. Guy next to Fred. No, no, guy next to Fred's wife.

[Jensen Karp]

Oh.

[Ryder Strong]

In our Camp. Okay. Will ensue. Danielle and Jensen. Tara, Nick, Angel. Writer Alex.

[Angel]

That's.

[Ryder Strong]

That's nine.

[Angel]

So. So about eight. Nine players. Yeah, everyone.

[Ryder Strong]

Everyone came up.

[Angel]

Never heard of that.

[Ryder Strong]

The minimum amount of money won was a few hundred dollars.

[Jensen Karp]

Yeah, I started with $60. Like, I was. Look, I walked up and you all had. Do you remember when you were a kid and there was those tiny. Those tiny little black caps that you would light. That would grow into.

[Angel]

Oh, yeah, yeah. Snakes.

[Jensen Karp]

It looked like everybody lit their. Their chips on. Snakes had appeared. Of the chips. I mean, at one point, I looked over at angel, and she had two rows, and I went. I literally went, how much do you have there? And she went, I don't know.

[Angel]

And she started with, like, $13.

[Ryder Strong]

That's what I'm saying.

[Jensen Karp]

That's what I'm saying. I started with $60. And at one point, I literally went, I'm gonna stop counting. And then they tell you things, and you just believe them.

[Ryder Strong]

Yeah, yeah. Give me 60 bucks. Okay, give me.

[Angel]

So the dealers. Wait, hold on. So, you know, hold on. The dealers are making change. They're making change live on the run. But they'll. But they'll turn to Danielle and go, give me 60. And she'll give him 60, and then they'll hand her 120. She goes, great. But doesn't know.

[Jensen Karp]

Question it.

[Angel]

Doesn't know anything that happened.

[Jensen Karp]

Question it. That's exactly what it is. You owe me 15. Okay. You give me 15, I give you 120. Sure. Like, you have.

[Ryder Strong]

None of it makes any sense.

[Jensen Karp]

Also worth noting.

[Angel]

Also worth noting, a large. I'd say 80% of our camp knew nothing that was going on while they were getting money. And then no one was. Everyone was too nervous to talk about it because we thought we'd jinx it.

[Jensen Karp]

Yeah, exactly.

[Angel]

So, like, everyone was like, wow, this is fun. And, like, just sort of like, this is great, huh? Like, yeah, I'm doing okay.

[Ryder Strong]

My favorite change mistake that happened was the dealer said to me, he put $100 out in front of me, $100 chip. And he goes, give me two. And I handed him two greens, which was 25 each. So I handed him 50, and he goes, $2.

[Janice Torres]

Oh.

[Ryder Strong]

Oh, that's a better deal for me.

[Jensen Karp]

You have no idea. You don't. It's. There's times where they went, you won. And I'd look at somebody like, congratulations. They're like, no, you won. And I'm like, oh. And then they hand me a stack of stuff, and you just put it with the rest of your stuff and assume that's normal.

[Angel]

A guy passed. I did hear one guy passing. Wow, they're having a lot of fun. What's going on there? One guy goes, I guess Topanga's winning. Yeah.

[Jensen Karp]

Well, did you hear the one? Do you hear the one? At one point, the dealer looked at her. We're sitting here, and he handed. So it's now Danielle's handsome guy had, which again, way better than fat Smith guy, which is what I want. Better than Forsy and better than Forsey handed Daniel the dice. And the pit boss goes, well, class is in session.

[Angel]

It was insane.

[Jensen Karp]

It's such a surreal night.

[Angel]

If anyone saw us, you will have some sort of information that we would have to vet. But if you saw this group playing, it looked so insane.

[Jensen Karp]

Our new friend Jonathan, the professional football player who just retired, he did so well his run.

[Angel]

Oh, yeah, let's explain that. So he bet on something that again.

[Ryder Strong]

Not a lot of people even get me started.

[Jensen Karp]

I don't even know because. Did you get screwed with that?

[Angel]

No, she. She didn't play it. So here's what happened. You can bet 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 to roll. That happens in a session. Before you hit a seven, you're betting.

[Ryder Strong]

On all those numbers being hit. That's called the lower, the low.

[Angel]

So 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.

[Jensen Karp]

You're betting all those hit before a 7. Then.

[Angel]

Then there's another chance to do 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 before you hit a 7. So you can bet those $25, I think, is pretty much the minimum. Those are 3, $5, $5. Those are 30 to 1. So it's. It's 30 to 1 that you'll hit those numbers before you get a 7. But there's also a center section, center section, all 12 or all 11.

[Ryder Strong]

11 of those numbers. 10 of those. Yeah.

[Angel]

10 of those numbers before you roll 7.

[Ryder Strong]

And that pays 150 to 100. So again, I started playing that bonus. It's a minimum of $5 each. I was playing that every single hand. And the dealers, as we're talking about when they make change, they were doing things to me like, here you go. All right. You won on your pass line because he rolled a seven, and we don't have a number out. So you won on that, but you want your bonus, right? Because now that bonus, now that you've rolled a seven, that bonus is gone.

[Angel]

They want you to refill.

[Ryder Strong]

So they were making change for me, just assuming I wanted it on there. And I was like, great. Yes. Because I want to play it every single time.

[Jensen Karp]

Oh, my God.

[Ryder Strong]

Then when we see that the low six hits, I'm bladder full, jumping around, practically peeing myself by the second jump.

[Jensen Karp]

Jen, you looked at me and went, that was a bad idea.

[Ryder Strong]

That was a mistake.

[Angel]

She was hugging strangers. It was. It was. She was all in.

[Ryder Strong]

And I was all excited about it. And then they were like, you're not on it.

[Angel]

Yeah.

[Ryder Strong]

It's like, what do you mean? I've been on it every single time. All night.

[Jensen Karp]

Happened with that.

[Ryder Strong]

So basically, you know how often they change the people who are working there. Some dealers are really good about being like, you like to be on the bonus. And others are just like, you didn't. And I. So I didn't pay attention, didn't realize I missed the bonus. And they didn't think to remind me. So it's like their fault. It's my bet. Yeah. But just the annoying Jonathan.

[Angel]

So he hit not only the first front, he hit the back front and.

[Ryder Strong]

The one in the middle.

[Angel]

So he made about seven.

[Ryder Strong]

And he had way more money on it than I would have.

[Jensen Karp]

I was only $5, no euphemism implied. His big black snake was huge because it was all the black chips. It was all hundreds.

[Ryder Strong]

Oh, yeah.

[Jensen Karp]

And it was like. I mean, it. Just watching, they just. If this is Las Vegas, I'm never leaving.

[Angel]

Right. The. The irony of Danielle watching all of you slowly become gambling addicts. I saw it in her face. She would look at me and she'd go, I did this.

[Ryder Strong]

I did this. I did this. I'm just.

[Angel]

Everyone was having the time.

[Jensen Karp]

I never change my clothes again.

[Ryder Strong]

Like, I. What I will say is that I know without a shadow of a doubt, just like when we took the kids to Mexico and we swam with dolphins. I was like, that's a core memory I'm keeping forever. That was a great moment tonight. Core memory.

[Jensen Karp]

Yeah.

[Ryder Strong]

I will remember the night I learned. I'm using air quotes.

[Jensen Karp]

Yeah.

[Ryder Strong]

I learned to play craps with this group of people in this amazing place.

[Jensen Karp]

It was so much fun.

[Ryder Strong]

It was like. It was a literal dream.

[Jensen Karp]

Yeah. This was so much fun.

And now tomorrow we have Wrestlemania.

That's right.

When I say tomorrow in 12 hours.

I have that core memory. It's also. It's intertwined with the core memory because again, I had $60 when I started, and I was slowly dwindling. So I turned to my loving wife and I said, here's my ATM card. Can you go get me some more cash? She came back four Times to ask the pin number and it's the same PIN we use for everything.

[Angel]

Susan.

[Jensen Karp]

She kept whispering it back, wait, in.

[Ryder Strong]

All fairness, you take the same four numbers and you flip flop them.

[Jensen Karp]

Sometimes one of the two, two of the numbers are switched, of which I told you three. And you're like, give me it one more time. I'm like, babe, it's four numbers at this point. If we're, if we're like deactivating nuclear missiles, everybody's dead by this point.

[Angel]

Remember, she was learning craps at the same time.

[Jensen Karp]

No, she hadn't even jumped in by this point.

[Ryder Strong]

So many numbers. There were so many numbers. And then I went to the machine and put the wrong numbers in several.

[Jensen Karp]

Times.

[Nick]

And was running the risk of losing the card is what I thought might happen.

[Ryder Strong]

Yeah, they're like.

[Jensen Karp]

And then by the third time, she came back, whispered to me one more time. I'm like, babe, at this point, it's your problem. I don't know what's happening right now.

[Nick]

I thought they would take the card.

[Jensen Karp]

It was great.

[Angel]

Well, again, if you gamble long enough, you will lose all of your money. It's pretty much a guarantee.

[Jensen Karp]

That's absolutely true.

[Angel]

Please don't put that on us.

Do it. He was like, my cat needs medicine. And I was like, dude, I will buy your cat's medicine. Please don't jump in. But he had to. And he won 300 bucks.

That's what I'm saying.

Everyone won. It's crazy. Also bread, which is the name I gave the guy.

[Jensen Karp]

Fred. Fred.

[Ryder Strong]

Fred.

[Angel]

Every time, Fred, Every time Fred won thousands and thousands of dollars, he would then send us around $200.

[Jensen Karp]

He just throw out money. Well, cuz his cat needed surgery but he covered it right by that point.

[Ryder Strong]

So, yeah, whenever someone, the dice roller would win Fred thousands upon thousands of dollars. Thousands of dollars cost them $200. And most people bet, like, played it on the ground on the table.

[Jensen Karp]

During my run, I rolled two. Yeah, two hard 12 with him on it to the point. And he was like, I don't know.

[Angel]

He's like, he sent you over $400.

[Jensen Karp]

We did. We're jumping up and down. It was so much fun.

[Ryder Strong]

It's one of the great things about craps, too, is that you're all in it together. Like, we had the kindest table. Somebody would roll a seven, and Jensen would be like, still a great guy.

[Jensen Karp]

Still a great guy. No one's.

[Ryder Strong]

No one's. No one's mad.

[Jensen Karp]

One of the funniest things I heard all night was not only that you named next to Fred.

[Angel]

Oh, right. We didn't know everyone's name.

[Jensen Karp]

That became then next to Fred and then next to Fred's wife. But then we found out next to Fred's wife was Britney. And you just had every Britney Spears.

[Ryder Strong]

It's Britney.

[Angel]

We were yelling at.

[Jensen Karp]

You're done with conservatorship. I mean, it was.

[Angel]

Yeah. I also at one point yelled, she deserves a name now. Like, and again, it went on for hours.

[Jensen Karp]

For hours.

[Angel]

Hours.

[Jensen Karp]

Danielle literally has permanent bladder damage, as does Tara. Producer Tara. The two of them looking, and it's like, you get to the point. I looked over at Tara and she's just scooping in money. And she looks at me. But she's also pained because she's like, oh, do you know how long damage is happening inside?

[Angel]

Do you know how long you guys gambled? I have the perfect metaphor.

[Jensen Karp]

Oh, no.

[Angel]

You guys gambled so long that the real douchebags who walk around with your photos and the blue pens to get them signed sat and walked away eventually.

[Ryder Strong]

Oh, they were watching us.

[Angel]

Yeah, they were waiting. Went on so long. They were waiting for you to finish gambling.

[Ryder Strong]

And they were like, we're too tired.

[Jensen Karp]

Yeah, we can't do it.

[Angel]

Or they were like, these people. Yeah, these people have problems.

[Ryder Strong]

I don't even want their autograph anymore.

[Angel]
