All right, important question. If you saw a sandwich on a deli menu called the the Feeney, what's on it?
Danielle Fishel
Well, obviously something wise. Maybe Dietz and Watson Oven Classic Turkey because it's classic, dependable and somehow still teaching you lessons.
Will Friedle
Oh, I'm adding the Black Forest Uncured ham smoked the Old World way with cracked pepper and sea salt because Feeny would never cut corners.
Danielle Fishel
Neither does Dietz and Watson. They've been handcrafting premium deli meats and artisan cheeses for over 85 years. Family owned, doing things the right way, even when it's the hard way.
Ryder Strong
They sent us some of their stuff and I have been crushing the flavored cheddar cheeses. Real New York State cheddar. Small batch, super creamy.
Will Friedle
And I've been making breakfast with their chicken sausage. No antibiotics ever. No nitrates or nitrites added. It's just really good.

Simply made. Simple as that.

Watch only on Prime.
Ryder Strong
I have very important update too about grammar.
Will Friedle
I made a mistake.
Ryder Strong
I was wrong.
Danielle Fishel
Oh.
Ryder Strong
Multiple people contacted me for some reason. I talked about the double EM dash. Yeah, that was your. What I was referring to was simply an EM dash.
Danielle Fishel
Oh yeah. Furious with that.
Ryder Strong
Double EM dash is another thing that is used to replace a word or part of a word. So what I was actually talking about is simply an EM dash. I guess I was confused because you do a double hyphen to create an EM dash. Also, it's been pointed out to me that I put a space before and after my EM dashes, which I've discovered nobody else does but I insist upon. And I was like, why do I do this? I was like, do I have to change the way I write now? Do I have to go back? But no. As of yesterday, I've been reading the Remains of the Day by Ishiguro, which I've been told is like the greatest book ever. I've never read it. He also wrote Never Let Me Go, which is another great novel. This is the winner of the Pulitzer
Will Friedle
Prize, winner of the Nobel Prize, greatest book ever.
Ryder Strong
It's supposed to. Have you read it? Yes, of course. Well, I'm only like 10 pages in. He does em dashes with spaces before and after precedent.
Danielle Fishel
Okay. Dead.
Ryder Strong
That's it. That's a.
Will Friedle
Can't believe the double M dash. You.
Ryder Strong
I ruined everything.
Danielle Fishel
Honestly, you.
Ryder Strong
It's been driving me crazy. I have to address it.
Will Friedle
I have never said.
Danielle Fishel
Dan.
Will Friedle
I agree. I agree 100%.
Ryder Strong
I still can't stand quotation marks. But yeah.
Will Friedle
What about an ellipses? How do you feel about an ellipses?
Ryder Strong
Love Em.
Danielle Fishel
Will loves an ellipses.
Will Friedle
I do.
Ryder Strong
I love ellipses. But I don't like. I don't like how autocorrect makes them a tight ellipses. Do you know what I'm talking about? Like if you type Period, period, period. Into most programs now. It squeezes them together and creates an ellipses as its own thing. No, it should just be three periods in a row. Like, why are they changing the spacing? That drives me crazy.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah, yeah.
Ryder Strong
These are important things.
Will Friedle
I. I agree. Okay. Well, let me ask you a question. Do you know how many in the English language, how many punctuation marks there are?
Ryder Strong
I don't know. Not a whole lot.
Danielle Fishel
We're looking at our laptops.
Ryder Strong
Let's see if we're not accounting without looking.
Will Friedle
Without looking.
Ryder Strong
No emojis. I would say 14, 20, 20, 24, 16. Oh.
Will Friedle
Now, of the 16, how many can you name without looking at your keyboards?
Ryder Strong
Well, there's only 16.
Danielle Fishel
Do forward slashes count?
Will Friedle
I mean, if you. If you consider. Forward slash is called. They're calling it an M. Dash.
Danielle Fishel
No.
Will Friedle
Oh, no, no. You're talking slashes. Slashes. Excuse me.
Ryder Strong
There's an em dash. There's an en dash. There's a hyphen. Huh.
Danielle Fishel
There's a colon. A semicolon.
Ryder Strong
Colon, semicolon, dash, period, comma, period, comma, apostrophe, quotation, parentheses, parentheses. That's pretty close. How much are we in that? We're already up to, like, there's still.
Will Friedle
There's still a ton. Who's been counting?
Danielle Fishel
Oh, underscore. What are the ones that are, like, when you, like, do something inside of a. Inside of a par. Parenthetical. A second. Parenthetical Brackets. Brackets. Thank you.
Will Friedle
And that which leads you also to
Danielle Fishel
ellipses.
Ryder Strong
No, that's.
Will Friedle
Well, yeah, the ellipses is one.
Ryder Strong
What are the. Oh, what are the, like, triangles? Like the sideways.
Danielle Fishel
Oh, yeah, just greater than. Less than.
Ryder Strong
Yes.
Will Friedle
Yeah, yeah. Nope, those aren't on there.
Ryder Strong
They aren't.
Will Friedle
Okay. No, you're missing.
Danielle Fishel
You're missing points.
Will Friedle
Of course.
Ryder Strong
Question mark.
Danielle Fishel
Question.
Will Friedle
There you go. You've. I think you've literally missed one. Nope.
Danielle Fishel
Ampersand's not the one. The one that's not a bracket. This is a bracket. The one that goes like this has a little extra.
Will Friedle
Correct. What are those called?
Ryder Strong
Fleur de Lisa. Yeah, that's bracket. It's like a fancy bracket. It's actually Brackalina.
Will Friedle
It's also something that could be done to your mouth.
Ryder Strong
What?
Will Friedle
Yep. Or another name. Another way to hold up your pants.
Danielle Fishel
Belt cinch.
Will Friedle
What could be done for your mouth that could also be Hold. No, another name for that would be also for your mouth.
Ryder Strong
What. What is Your mouth. And suspenders. And your mouth.
Will Friedle
Okay, well, I'll save that for the last. So the answers are period, question mark, exclamation point, comma, semicolon, colon, em, dash, en, dash, hyphen, parentheses, brackets, apostrophe, quotation marks, single quotation mark, ellipses and braces is the name of the other braces.
Danielle Fishel
I would say teeth rather than mouths.
Will Friedle
Well, that's teeth. Mouth.
Ryder Strong
I was in. When I was in college, I had a long classroom debate about exclamation marks. And the contention was
Will Friedle
if you feel
Ryder Strong
the need for an exclamation mark, it's probably a poorly written sentence. Like, in other words, make sense to me.
Will Friedle
Yeah, I use them all the time.
Ryder Strong
Do you really?
Will Friedle
Oh my God. Everything I write, it's like, hey, are you coming over tomorrow?
Danielle Fishel
Sure am.
Will Friedle
It's like, why did I text that with three exclamation points?
Danielle Fishel
Because if you don't send one, you're
Will Friedle
a. I guess you know that you're like a.
Danielle Fishel
No, but you. It's. I know women use them a lot and it's literally just to make sure.
Will Friedle
Yes.
Ryder Strong
It implies joy and excitement. I know. That's the only way I use them in emails, emails and texts to be like, yeah, or whatever. Yeah, me too.
Will Friedle
But I put it on everything.
Ryder Strong
Yes, but like, if you're actually trying to communicate like in a book or
Danielle Fishel
like in dialogue yesterday, everything's every, Everything is just.
Will Friedle
Yeah, but even like, they'll, they'll send us our, our, our edits for, you know, we'll get the podcast and I'll, I'll always. And I always write back, like, no notes for me. Like, why did, why are you shouting? Exactly.
Ryder Strong
Why do I need especially everything if you have to. Double exclamation, triple exclamation.
Will Friedle
Come on. I do that all the time. It's a crutch. I feel bad about it, but it's bad.
Ryder Strong
My sentence is now unhinged.
Will Friedle
There's a Seinfeld about that where she's dating a writer and she's the editor and they get into a fight. So she just puts. They get into fight over exclamation points. So she puts it in his book and her boss is reading like. So I went downstairs and it was raining, so I put on my sweatshirt. She's like, uh huh, uh huh. So she just tries to sacrifice his book by adding a bunch of exclamation marks. That's awesome. That's me. It's terrible.
Danielle Fishel
Welcome to Bon Me's World. I'm Danielle Fishel.
Ryder Strong
I'm Ryder Strong. And I'm Will Friedle. Foreign.
Danielle Fishel
Something. New is exciting, but honestly, it's also terrifying. When I launched my hair care line Be Free by Danielle Fishel when it came to an online presence, I had no idea where to start.
Will Friedle
And when Pod Meets World started and we looked into selling merch, we needed help. We are not e commerce experts.
Ryder Strong
Fear like that stops a lot of people from starting a business, a brand, or a creative idea they've been thinking about for years.
Danielle Fishel
But sometimes taking that leap ends up being the best thing you ever do. That's also why having the right tools behind you matters so much. And that's where Shopify comes in.
Will Friedle
Shopify is the commerce platform behind millions of businesses around the world and 10% of all e commerce in the US from brands like Skims and Gymshark to brands that are just getting started like our own. Be Free by Danielle Fishel and Pod

Watch only on Prime. Welcome to our season 7 episode 19 recap. It is brotherly shove it. Originally aired March 31, 2000 the synopsis the Matthews family is having a garage sale unexpectedly leading to a battle between Eric and Corey over growing apart. It was directed by Jerry Levine.
Will Friedle
Another Jerry.
Danielle Fishel
Another Jerry. Written by Matthew Nelson. Before I jump into our guest stars, do you guys want to share your overall thoughts?
Ryder Strong
I really did not like this episode.
Danielle Fishel
Me neither.
Ryder Strong
I mean, truly despised it.
Will Friedle
Wow. I absolutely love this episode. Really. I did. I loved. I lie. There's I. So I loved working with Ben. This episode made me sad because I know it was the first Time watching that, I was like, oh, we're coming to an end. Like, it, like, it really made me feel like we were coming to an end. I didn't necessarily like Eric in this episode where he was a bit of a. Of a dick. But I like the idea of two sets of brothers finding each other again. I love the B story of Jack and Sean try, like forcing, trying to force a relationship I thought was fun. So yeah.
Ryder Strong
What is your takeaway from the episode? Like what is. Who did what? Like what is the lesson? Is there a point of view?
Will Friedle
No, I think what it's supposed to be is, you know, two brothers coming back together while another set of brothers is trying to find. Navigate their way through a brotherhood for family. You know, it's like Sean, who's never had family that's ever stuck around, now has a brother in his life that is somebody that we've obviously cast who's going to be here for a while. And so they're both, after watching Corey and Eric deciding that they need to try a relationship. And the thing that I thought was funny of the balance of the A story and the B story is one of them was very melodramatic and one of them is absurdly where it's like we've just been laughing for three hours like watching you guys. The two sets of brothers I enjoyed. I also then just go back to. As an actor, Eric very rarely got a chance or I very rarely got a chance to do any sort of drama, which I always enjoyed when they gave it to Eric finally, even though it was kind of done this way. And so I just liked. It was a brother story again. It was like a first season story of Corey and Eric together with no
Ryder Strong
Amy and Alan though.
Will Friedle
Yeah, but that was the point is that, you know what it reminded me of? There's a. There's a great movie that was big in my family called Coupe de Ville. And what it was is a. Alan Arin buys his wife a car in Flor in. In New York. And he gets his three sons who haven't spoken in years to meet there without telling each of them. And they have to drive the car back to Florida where they live. And the whole thing at the end is not to give it away, but it's Alan Arkin going like it was never about a car. I don't care about a car. It was getting you together. Right. So it was to me the whole thing, even with Alan not being there was Alan specifically called in my head, Cory and Eric. He saw them drifting apart and while they were gone, it's like, I'm gonna give them something to do together to where they have to go through their memories together and that's gonna bring them closer together. And Cory's first instinct was, I'm not even gonna call Eric when this happen. I'm gonna call my wife.
Ryder Strong
I love that. That would be a great story.
Will Friedle
I know that. But that's where I went with it was. That's what, that's why Eric was pissed. It was like. Yeah, because Corey also lied to him. Where, where it's, you know, it's. Well, no, because dad called me and also told me we were supposed to be here.
Danielle Fishel
That goes by so fast. I don't even think Ryder picked up on that. That that's part of the storyline.
Will Friedle
Yeah, yeah. So, yeah, again, those are the reasons I liked it. It was, you know, it also reminded me of my brothers and some of the relationships that you have where you go through ups and down with your brothers. And so it was. And then it got into the whole thing with Ben where I'm like, I haven't spoken to Ben in years now and he had a baby and when he was married and I wasn't involved in any of that. And he's doing all these special things and he's not in our life anymore. So all that factored into me watching this episode. And so I think, you know, from a writing standpoint, it probably wasn't great. Eric was an. When Corey's clearly apologizing to him a hundred times, all that makes total sense. But I think I was watching it through a different lens. And so because of that, there was more emotionality attached to it for me than I think there was for either of the two of you.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah, yeah. I mean, I just felt like they really. Again, I love when they give Eric some drama. And it's about time Eric has needed something to ground him. And I love it being this idea that, you know, do the entire episode around a garage, the garage sale. And, and, and have, let's see, Amy and Alan noticing that, you know, Corey and Eric don't have the same relationship that they do anymore. Let us see them get the idea. I know what we'll do. We'll throw them out there together and then Corey circumvents Eric and then there is a real, A real blow up. And then we save. And we can save the apology for the end of the episode as the resolution instead of it starting that way. I mean, you know, really recognizes right away that he owes you an Apology.
Will Friedle
I don't think he knows why, though. I think that's what they were going for is he's like, oh, I'm apologizing. So I didn't invite you, Eric. And it's the later scene in the hospital where Eric's like, you don't even know why you're apologizing to me. Like, you don't. You don't get that. It has nothing to do with the garage sale. It's about the fact that you've systematically been cutting me out of your life. And so, yeah, it's great to say, yeah, I'm sorry. I should have. You're right. And that's why Eric's like, why are you apologizing?
Danielle Fishel
His attitude would make more sense if he also thinks. Thinks it's purposeful. Like, I'm cutting you out of my life because I don't like you.
Ryder Strong
Right.
Danielle Fishel
And. And. Or because I did something to you or, like, something. But the idea that this really. What this is is him having hurt feelings and wishing their relationship could be better and wanting to say, all relationships take effort. Just the fact that we're brothers isn't going to be enough for us to be close. If we want to be close, we have to put in effort. You put in effort with your wife, you put an effort with your best friend, you, effort with your parents. You don't put in any effort with me. And that says to me that I'm not important to you, and I used to be the most important thing to you. That is like, that's a. If Eric saying that would have made me. My heart would have broken for him if there had been any sort of vulnerability. But instead, it was just this real snarky anger.
Will Friedle
And always. That's the thing. That's the thing I didn't like, is they. They didn't start from one position of, like, Eric coming in happy to do something and then getting hurt or mad. It was just. It was one note the entire time. I agree with you 100%.
Ryder Strong
I was thinking, like, listening to you guys talk, like, it's not a situation. It's like. It's like a scene. Do you know this whole episode is one scene? There's no actual situation. Like, what. What H. Like, when I was. When you were talking, Danielle, I was like, oh, yeah. Imagine if there was a garage sale and there was, like, an impending, yes, it's coming up. And then, like, there was a miscommunication about it, and then there was somebody lying to cover the fact that they miscommunicate but actually nothing changes in this episode. It's literally Eric walking in and saying, I'm upset with you. And then explaining why for the rest of the episode and Cory and then,
Will Friedle
then not even really having a resolution about it.
Ryder Strong
No, that's what I mean. Like, I don't know what the takeaway is. Like listening to Danielle talk, I was like, that's actually a really nice point. Like, I didn't quite get that from the episode. I was just kind of like, I didn't like Corey or Eric in this episode. By the end, I was just like, why did we have all these yelling and drama and physical fighting over what? Like, I don't understand what the takeaway. Who was wrong here? And now listening to Danielle and Danielle, I'm like, okay, yeah, I can see that Eric does have a point, you know, but that quite, that doesn't quite get articulated that well in my mind, like where I'm like, oh, I feel sorry for Eric. Instead I'm just like, dude, you're kind of being a dick to your brother.
Will Friedle
He was, he was a total dick.
Ryder Strong
Agreed. And then I just don't know what happens in the resolution with like, with Cory and Topanga talking about it. And I don't know. It's a weird episode.
Will Friedle
It's just, it was, it's.
Ryder Strong
It's a strange sort of punishing episode. It's like, let's punish Corey.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah.
Ryder Strong
For something. And I'm not sure. Like, I don't know. It's a weird. Yeah, it's. It just left me with a really.
Will Friedle
Did you like you and Matt trying to find your relationship?
Ryder Strong
Because again, it doesn't have. It doesn't change. It's like we should have a relationship and we kind of don't.
Will Friedle
Right.
Danielle Fishel
I also liked it better if the laughing, joking, save me didn't come right after we already saw you guys not being sure what to connect on.
Ryder Strong
Yeah.
Danielle Fishel
Because then I actually thought, oh good, whatever. They left the apartment to go do. They had a really good time doing. Because then they show up here. Gig. Giggle, giggle, giggle. Whereas I would have loved to have seen a little bit of a build up and be like, wow, look how like, look at them having fun. Only then to have the turn of. I'm miserable.
Ryder Strong
Right. And didn't we already do this when we did our Christmas episode where we were like, what are our Christmas traditions?
Danielle Fishel
And we're like, oh, we have one note that was a. One little joke that they were like, what if that's the whole B story?
Will Friedle
Right.
Ryder Strong
Pretty much. A B story then too. Cuz didn't we end up going ice skating? Or maybe it was only one scene, but I just feel this felt repetitive to me. I was like we've done this before and, and it didn't. I don't know.
Will Friedle
Yeah, I think I, I think I watched it through a different lens but at the same time it's very clear and you know, you can hear people like they don't like their show anymore. In season seven, you can tell we're limping across the finish line. I mean you can really tell that we're limping across the finish line here. We've all kind of checked out from an acting wise, it seems like a lot of it is checked out from a writing standpoint and it's, it really is. We're. We're crawling across the.
Ryder Strong
I like what you were saying about it feeling like a season one episode and I think I would have preferred that Alan and Amy were part of this and that it was about the, the impending departure. You know, like if it was. Because I feel like that's. You're right. That's what we're feeling right now is like the show is taking a moment to reflect on the relationships it hasn't quite developed in the last couple years and to sort of say we recognize that these relationships were where the show started. You know, like, I mean, you know, it'd be nice to have Feeny involved. It'd be nice to have the backyard. It'd be nice.
Danielle Fishel
I don't know if Eric didn't even realize what was her. What was bothering him. So Amy and Alan are the ones who. There's this upcoming garage sale. They can tell that there's some differences between the kids. They come up with this idea to let's. This is on you guys. This is all your stuff, your childhood. We don't want to make the decisions. You guys are going to do it together. And then Cory immediately calls Topanga and Sean and starts doing stuff and overreacts
Ryder Strong
by like selling a bunch of Cory's stuff out of the garage without Corey knowing it. Then we have a scene where he
Danielle Fishel
has to go, he has to go
Ryder Strong
to Feeny over the fence.
Danielle Fishel
And Feeny tells me it feels like maybe you feel like he puts in all of the effort with other people and not with you. And Eren realizes, yes, that is what it is. I used to be his favorite person and now he doesn't. Even now I'm an afterthought. Then we see like that that would have like if that had gone back to a season one family episode.
Ryder Strong
It would have been fantastic.
Will Friedle
You could have also done a very big swing, which is something like. I wouldn't have done a garage sale. What I would have done is the boy's bedroom is now either the baby's gonna be in the room, something like that. So they have to go in and clean out the bedroom.
Danielle Fishel
Maybe that's why they're having the garage sale though, you know?
Will Friedle
Right.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah. Yeah.
Will Friedle
And so it's like you're not in the garage. We're in a set that we've watched forever. And it's Corey and Eric cleaning out the boy's bedroom. I think would have been a more fun.
Ryder Strong
A scene in the treehouse, you know,
Danielle Fishel
it could have been.
Ryder Strong
So. Yeah.
Will Friedle
Yeah. But. Yeah. How you don't have a fencing. But I was looking at. I. I don't like to look forward at the episodes of what they are. But I know what's coming, obviously, because there's only a few left. And it seems like they've hit every. They're trying to hit every trope. So it's like the next one we have is one of the biggest romps we've done in all seven years. It's our Black and White episode. And then then after that it gets, you know, then it's everybody leaving. Then it's the final episode. It's like they've gone melodramatic romp. They're trying to hit like one after another for one more time before we're out. And I think this is just. This was the drama episode.
Ryder Strong
Really was.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah, yeah, sure was. Guest starring Jesse Corty as Man. He is best known for playing writer. I'm gonna need your help here. Korfiak. Corfiak in the original Broadway show Les Miserables.
Ryder Strong
Wow. That is a pretty small part. I believe he's.
Will Friedle
Yes.
Danielle Fishel
Okay.
Ryder Strong
Korfiak would be. It's like a. Basically a chorus member who fights at the barricade. And the person who plays Corfiak does the voice on the other side of the barricade. So you. At the barricade. Listen to this. I'm pretty sure that's the same person who plays Korfiac. Yeah, whatever. Very, very small part. In Les Mis.
Danielle Fishel
He also voiced. And I don't know how to say this either. Le Fou. Lefou. In the Beauty and the Beast animated movie. Gaston's sidekick. L, E F O U. Oh, I think it's lefou. Lefou.
Ryder Strong
Lefou.
Will Friedle
I think so.
Danielle Fishel
Okay. And voicing lefou in the Beauty and the Beast animated movie. He has also voiced characters in Frozen and Zootopia, while also appearing in shows like the West Wing, judging Amy and 24. And then we have Janet S. Blake as Woman. She has only four credits to her name, running from 1998 to 2000. And those four shows are boy Meets World, the Practice, Zoe Duncan, Jack and Jane, and Friends.
Will Friedle
Oh, man. I was on two of them.
Ryder Strong
I actually know what Korfiak's wardrobe looks like.
Danielle Fishel
Do you?
Ryder Strong
That's so crazy. I know exactly. Well, in the original production or in the. Yeah, because if I'm correct, it's. He has like a. He has like a. A thing over. Yeah, I remember the. The actual.
Will Friedle
A bandolier.
Ryder Strong
Yes, a bandolier. Thank you. It's. It's not filled with bullets, but I think it is a bandolier. Ish thing that he wears. And then. Yeah, and the guy who played it in. In the San Francisco production with me was Dom DeLuise's grandson.
Will Friedle
Oh, wow.
Ryder Strong
Or nephew. Yeah, he was a DeLuise. And it wasn't John DeLuise, who was a voiceover actor who's worked a lot and I've worked with him, or Peter
Will Friedle
DeLuise, who was on another DeLuise.
Ryder Strong
And I'm blanking on his first name, but I remember Dom deluise came to see us and I got to meet him backstage, but I'm pretty sure he. He played Corfiak in our production. That's so weird. Memory rush. Okay,

Will Friedle
Hey, it's Will Friedle from POD Meets World. It's hard to believe that the first phone call ever happened over 150 years ago. Just think about that. Over the last hundred and fifty years, so many special moments have happened with a phone call. I think back to the phone call I had to make on Hollywood Boulevard, back to my agents in New York who told me that I booked the role of Eric Matthews on Boy Meets World. And it's one of the greatest phone calls I ever had in my life. I mean, hey, I even remember the phone call with Danielle and Ryder when we decided to start a podcast that one wasn't as good. Almost four years later, here we are. And, you know, over all these years and phone calls, AT&T has been there, connecting people in meaningful ways. This is more than a story of technological innovation. It's a story of human connection.
Danielle Fishel
Connecting changes everything. AT&T. Well, wait to jump in. Starting our recap. We start in the Matthews garage with Sean, Corey, and Topanga. Sean is looking through boxes and asks, man, how long has it been since anyone cleaned this garage? Which was a shocking first sentence because the first thing I was thinking was, ugh, I wish my garage was this clean.
Will Friedle
Yeah, your garage is not clean.
Danielle Fishel
I mean, I wouldn't say it's clean. It's not unclean, but there's clutter and I don't like it. Okay, yours is spotless. Let me guess.
Will Friedle
Spotless. Spotless.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah. Yeah.
Will Friedle
There's nothing in my garage.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah, it's wonderful to have children.
Ryder Strong
Hold on. You have nothing in your garage, and yet you keep everything? Where do you keep everything?
Danielle Fishel
The guest house again?
Will Friedle
I have a couple places to store. You've been to my home? Is my home cluttered in any way,
Ryder Strong
shape, or not at all? That's what I mean.
Will Friedle
There's ways to keep stuff without it looking like you keep a whole bunch of stuff. So, yeah. First thing you do, though, is have a corfiac removed, and then you get plenty of space.
Danielle Fishel
Corey examines a blue bucket and rolls his eyes. Ugh, years. Topanga snatches the bucket out of his hands and puts it in the trash bag. Hey. Hey, hey, hey, hey. Corey yells. Where do you think you're going with that? Topanga explains. I am taking this garbage bag full of garbage to the garbage. Corey shakes his head. You are so cute when you try to intimidate me. Give me the bag. It's coming home with us. Topanga scoffs. You are incapable of throwing out anything. No, Corey says. I am incapable of throwing out memories from my life. I mean, look around you. This is my childhood here. Shawn picks up a colorful doll. Hey, Corey, you think Morgan still wants strawberry shortcake? Corey nervously takes it from Shawn's hands and presses it against his chest. Yeah, she does.
Will Friedle
Those actually smelled like strawberry, didn't they?
Danielle Fishel
Yes, they did.
Will Friedle
That's what I thought. Okay.
Danielle Fishel
Corey starts playing with the doll and eventually kisses it. Topanga is disturbed. He explains. She's cute. She's my friend. He returns to looking through the trash bag. I can't believe that you wanted to throw all this out. I mean, look at this. This is a gold mine. Here. He pulls something out of the bag and asks, this is my old retainer. Remember this?
Will Friedle
Oh, this is so creepy. Creepy and gross. Just visceral response to this. I was like, oh, God.
Danielle Fishel
Same, same, same. He pops it back into his mouth, and Topanga is disgusting, disgusted. Ugh, Corey, I hate that thing. Cory smiles. You didn't say that when we were 11, remember? Kiss me. Come on, just kiss me once. Corey tries to kiss Topanga, but she pushes him away. Ew. No, Corey. All I remember is trapped food particles. Popcorn, Cracker Jacks. Your mouth was like a baseball game. Gross. Cory smacks his lips. M. Nachos.
Ryder Strong
This is all just awful.
Will Friedle
This was really rough to get through this part. Yuck.
Danielle Fishel
Topanga looks even more disgusted. Shawn pulls out a pair of boxing gloves. Hey, Cor, check these out. Corey remembers, Eric gave those to me. Speaking of, Sean wonders where Eric is. You know, half the stuff is his. Why isn't he helping? Corey says, well, look, I promised my parents I would clean up this garage by the time they got home from vacation, okay? Okay. Doesn't answer the question at all. Besides, Eric would just go through all this old stuff, you know, get all mushy and not let us throw out anything.
Will Friedle
Do you think. Do you think by this point, because we knew the show was done, the network wasn't putting more money into it? And it's like, you can have a swing set of the garage or you can have the parents there that week. You can't have both.
Ryder Strong
Right?
Will Friedle
Right. I mean, do you think that's what it came down to at the end was just all the time?
Ryder Strong
Because it doesn't make sense at all, man. No, it doesn't, because there's actually, like, a lack of, like, it's this. This, like. I feel like we repeat the same scene three times in this episode.
Danielle Fishel
You're right.
Ryder Strong
You know, so it would be so good to have an insert character, like another voice. And it's so weird that we don't like this.
Will Friedle
This. This episode really does lack the adult. Because, again, if you're gonna revert them to children, you want the adult.
Ryder Strong
They would have gotten paid anyway.
Danielle Fishel
Can I remind you that my theory was that they were really trying to prove that we could do a show ourselves.
Will Friedle
Yeah, yeah.
Ryder Strong
Because they had to pay the actors no matter what. We were all produced, so they. It was. It wouldn't.
Will Friedle
But we don't know that we were all produced in the later episodes. We don't know that the adults were. They could have been 13 or half or nine. We don't know.
Danielle Fishel
No.
Ryder Strong
Yeah, they were all. All produced.
Will Friedle
I would hope so. I mean, again, I would hope so, but again, if you're gonna take the two characters and take Corey and Eric. Eric. And kind of revert them back to children, you do need sort of an adult presence there.
Danielle Fishel
I mean, not if you're trying to prove to them that that's what the new show's going to be. That these poor young adults navigating life without the grounding force of parents.
Ryder Strong
Well, this does not prove that.
Danielle Fishel
It does not.
Will Friedle
Goes against that theory.
Ryder Strong
If we were doing this. The jelly beans in the scale. Yeah, this is one on the. Yeah, not so good. God, I love jelly beans.
Danielle Fishel
Topanga and Sean sarcastically agree in unison. Can't have that. That would be bad. Corey nods. Besides, I'd rather do it with you guys anyway. Topanga then pulls out a handwritten wooden sign that reads, no girls allowed. She yells, Discrimination. Not fair. Not fair. Corey reminisces. Oh, Sean, look, our old clubhouse sign. Shawn laughs. Yeah, no girls allowed. That lasted long. Corey throws his arms up in the air. Hey, I was in love. Topanga adds, and I threatened to sue. Shawn pulls out an old sled and Corey reminisces. This belonged to me and Eric. Boy, this thing's got some memories. Topanga now walks behind the boys wearing a tiara and holding two toy swords. In a British accent, she declares, your queen demands a duel, Lord Hunter. She hands one sword to Sean and then to Corey. Sir, complain a lot. The winner shall get my hand.
Ryder Strong
No recollection of this. Like, I feel like this might have been something that got rewritten and thrown at us, like, the day of. Because I don't remember. I love sword fighting. I would have remembered this. I feel like I. No recollection of this. This entire episode. So weird.
Will Friedle
Oh, see, you didn't remember this episode at all. I remembered this episode because of the fight. I remembered the choreographing the fight and the punching the guy and all that stuff. That's what I remember about the.
Ryder Strong
I feel like I would have. That's what I'm saying. Like, in this, like, I'm running around with a sword. Ben and I are hitting. I was like, this would have been so much fun. Why do I not remember this? Yeah, it's true.
Danielle Fishel
I feel like this episode was stressful.
Ryder Strong
Yeah.
Will Friedle
To shoot. You think?
Danielle Fishel
Yeah. I feel like my memory of it is that this was stressful.
Ryder Strong
Something was going on. I bet you it was like a last minute rewrite or something.
Will Friedle
Yeah.
Ryder Strong
Something happened. Yeah.
Danielle Fishel
Cory and Sean look at each other and start chuckling. Then Corey starts the duel. En garde. Do the head. In a Spanish accent. Sean replies, prepare to die, scoundrel. Corey is shocked. Oh, I'm a scoundrel. He's now impressed. That's cool.
Ryder Strong
That's cool.
Danielle Fishel
All right. Your queen's getting bored. Topanga yells while sitting in her makeshift throne. Can we see some bloodshed? Eric enters just as the boys start dueling and screaming at each other. Sean, you're hurting me. Corey screams. Shawn pushes him back.
Ryder Strong
Ow.
Will Friedle
Ow.
Danielle Fishel
The boys immediately stop fighting when they see Eric, who wonders, hey, you guys having a little party here? Sean responds, no, just hurting your brother. Topanga smiles. Hey, Eric, whatcha up to? Well, apparently not having as much fun as you guys are, he admits. Kori looks down at his sword. Yeah, we're just cleaning out the garage. You know, I've been meaning to go through this stuff for a while. Eric nods. Oh, okay. So this was your idea? Awkwardly, Cory says, yes. Then Topanga chimes in. Sean and I are just helping out. Then they walk away. Now alone. Eric lets Corey know, you know, this would have been fun to do together. Corey pats his older brother on the back. Come on, Eric. You know it's not a big deal. Besides, I didn't want you to waste a Saturday. Eric isn't dropping it. Oh, but you didn't mind asking Shawn to waste a Saturday. Corey insists, no. Shawn loves this stuff. Remember where he's from? Sean, now holding a paint can, agrees. I do love trash. He pulls Topanga in for a hug, and she sticks her tongue out at him. I guess you're trash.
Will Friedle
Kidding.
Danielle Fishel
Is that like a cute. Is that like a cute little moment between.
Will Friedle
Usanga. Moment,
Ryder Strong
trash.
Danielle Fishel
Best friends forever.
Ryder Strong
Anything to lighten this up, because at
Will Friedle
this point, I'm like, I did. I came in. Yeah, coming in hot. And it's like, start somewhere else and then grow to that. It's like, instead, I just walked in. Just angry.
Danielle Fishel
Yes, like, if you walked in, hurt. Like, oh. Oh, my gosh. What are you guys. Can I play swords? You know, like, I love these swords. What are you doing? We're cleaning this stuff out. What do you mean? You mean you're getting rid of it? Yeah, we're having a garage sale.
Ryder Strong
Suddenly it's a scene. It's a change. No, he comes in pissed and stays there.
Danielle Fishel
Yes.
Will Friedle
Well, I mean, that would have been interesting if his parents didn't tell him either. Like, nobody's telling. But then you need the parents there because it's like nobody tells Eric anything ever.
Danielle Fishel
Then what's so confusing? Because in this same scene is where now Eric drops off. That. Drops the news that he. This was supposed to be them. Said this.
Will Friedle
Yeah.
Danielle Fishel
And I ha. The line. The way it's written is really crazy. So I stick my tongue out at you, and Eric isn't buying it. Okay, so let me understand this. You decided on your own to go through our stuff involving your wife and your best friend, who, incidentally, has a brother of his own to do this kind of stuff with, but you didn't call me. Corey doesn't get it. It's not a big deal. But Sean sees the writing on the wall. Maybe we should go. No, no, no, no, no. You guys stay. Eric says he probably doesn't get a chance to see you a whole lot anyway. Raises his voice. Eric, come on. Don't be like this, okay? Stay and we'll all. Eric cuts him off. By the way, I forgot to tell you. Dad called last night and he wanted me and you to look for Grandpa's toolbox after calling you about you calling me about us cleaning out the garage together. See, we were supposed to do this together.
Ryder Strong
It's clear as mother's milk. Say that all again. He called me to tell that he called.
Danielle Fishel
Dad called last night and he wanted me and you to look for Grandpa's toolbox after calling you about you calling me about us cleaning out the garage together.
Ryder Strong
What?
Will Friedle
What about that? Don't you get?
Ryder Strong
It does add up. It's just not the way human beings talk.
Danielle Fishel
No, no. And it's. And that's the. That's the premise now.
Will Friedle
Yeah.
Danielle Fishel
For the. For this entire thing. Dad asked you to call me so that we could do this together.
Will Friedle
Together. Right.
Ryder Strong
And I'm upset that you decided not to.
Danielle Fishel
Decided on your own accord that you'd rather do this with Sean and Topanga.
Ryder Strong
Right.
Danielle Fishel
Great. Love that. That's a great setup. That needs a proper setup. And ideally, not coming from you.
Ryder Strong
Right.
Will Friedle
And also not. It should have nothing to do with Grandpa's toolbox. You added something that is completely unnecessary.
Danielle Fishel
Right.
Will Friedle
We're supposed to clean out the garage together. I mean, that's basically all you needed. And instead you decided to not call me.
Danielle Fishel
And I love the idea of had Alan and Amy been in the episode for them to be like, we started going through the garage and we realized these aren't our things. These are your things, your memories. You have to decide what's important to hold on to and what you're willing to let go.
Ryder Strong
Of right?
Danielle Fishel
And then, okay, great, we'll do that.
Ryder Strong
But also, just even a real situation. Corey gets rid of something that Eric wants to keep. Like, you know, that's the implied situation for the rest of the episode. But if that was the. Yeah, but what if it was the start of the episode, like, you got rid of the sled. That was my sled. You know, Boom. Now it's a real conflict.
Danielle Fishel
Now we're in the student union. Rachel and Sean have coffees in hand and are making their way to Angela on the couch. Rachel notes, you know, it must have been fun doing a big clean out like that and go through old stuff you haven't seen in years. Sean responds sarcastically, well, it started out fun. Rachel turns to Angela. You know what? I love that she doesn't have any follow up questions.
Ryder Strong
So they're just not. Here's some exposition about where we are in the episode.
Will Friedle
Trina and Maitland, they just. They now walk onto an episode. They listen to stuff going on. They have three lines or so and they walk little comments like, man, it's rough. It's rough.
Danielle Fishel
But there's. Well, it started out fun. No. Whoa. What happened? Tell me more. Just. Angela, we should also do that. It's so, so bad. Okay. Rachel turns to Angela.
Will Friedle
You know what?
Danielle Fishel
It wouldn't hurt us to do some spring cleaning. Angela raises her eyebrows. Great idea, Rachel. Why don't you start now and I'll catch up with you like in the fall. Jack is in the coffee shop too, playing pool. Shawn approaches the table. You know, you know, Jack, Eric said something interesting before that got me thinking. Jack is concerned. Wait a minute. Eric got you thinking? Sean nods. He seemed well rested anyway. When dad died, you and I agreed that Jack cuts him off. Deal. Shawn is confused. Deal. Jack goes on, yeah, no, I was thinking the same thing. You and I should get closer. Spend more time together. And Sean's face lighten lights up and he finishes Jack's sentence. Start acting like real brothers. They both seem excited. Jack wonders, so you want to do something later? Sean has a different idea. How about now? Jack stands. I'm up for anything. Jack can't contain himself. Sounds like a blast. I'm having fun already. Is that you or is that Sean?
Ryder Strong
I think Sean.
Will Friedle
He is by this point, Matt has slowly over the years and now we're officially there. Turned into Tom Cruise. Yeah, like by this point with the hair and every. I mean he just. The build and everything. He just looks like Tom Cruise. Yeah, it's pretty amazing. Yeah.
Danielle Fishel
Sean can't contain Himself. Sounds like a blast. I'm having fun already. Shawn hugs Jack and they start ceremoniously patting each other on the back. Angela and Rachel look on in confusion, but Rachel's still thinking about earlier. So why exactly don't you want to clean with me? Angela smiles. Oh, it's not that I don't want to. It's just that I'm not going to. A focused Eric enters the coffee shop and walks right up to Sean and Jack. I have theories, you know. Jack's apprehensive. About what? I don't know, eric admits. Then he looks to Sean. I just want to say I'm sorry about before. I was just upset. Shawn says he understands. It's okay. Then all the boys glance at each other and scratch their beards. In unison, they comment, she's going in nice.
Will Friedle
Do you not. You don't remember this? We added on show night. We added this on show night and we were like, hey, it's coming in. Which, by the way, it's not. I might have the worst beard in the history of beards in this show. Like just the little patch here for some reason that I was like, that looks awesome. Like what? What was I thinking with that? Oh yeah, Awful. Awful.
Danielle Fishel
Regrettable.
Ryder Strong
It's so bad.
Will Friedle
But your goatees at least are better than mine.
Ryder Strong
I don't even really notice yours. I don't like it. Mine is like a.
Will Friedle
It's between the second and third chin. It's like right here on me.
Danielle Fishel
Cut it out.
Will Friedle
And it's just the little patch.
Danielle Fishel
Eric then walks over to the couch and sits next to Rachel just as Corey enters. Hey, Eric, I've been looking for you. Eric plainly states, well, you found me. Corey continues, listen, I just want to apologize about before. You know, the reason I didn't call you was not because I didn't want you to be there. Eric sits at attention. I'm listening, Corey goes on, because that's not what I was thinking. Eric wants to know more. Okay, so what were you thinking? Well, I wasn't really thinking anything. Corey admits. It's not that big of a deal. I mean, maybe we'll do it again sometime. Eric nods, looking forward to that. Corey starts walking toward the counter, but Eric isn't done. So then why are you apologizing? This stops Corey dead in his tracks. Well, I'm apologizing because you seemed hurt. Eric nods again. That's very considerate. Turning back to the counter, Corey says, no problem. However, Eric passive aggressively continues, are you really sorry or are you just sorry you got caught. Jack observes the argument from the pool table and says to Sean, you know, you're right. He does seem well rested. Corey walks back to Eric. Come on, this is stupid. All right? It's no big deal. We'll go home and forget this ever happened. We'll clean out the garage and be done with it. Eric has an idea, though. You know what? While we're at it, why don't we move all that crap to the end of the driveway and just sell it? Corey seems sad. Why would you want to have a garage sale? I mean, that's like our childhood. Eric is obviously still annoyed and upset. Well, I mean, yeah, but as you said, it doesn't really matter. Why don't we just sell it? Split the money. Right. Split the money right down the center. And then, you know, we can be done with it. Go back to the way it used to be, you know? Hi. How are you doing? Fine. How are you doing? No need to apologize for anything. Eric walks away, and Corey is left wondering. What happened to the sneezing lottery numbers guy?
Will Friedle
Yeah, he was just there last week.
Ryder Strong
Just put his helmet on. Was that last week, wasn't it?
Danielle Fishel
Yeah.
Ryder Strong
I don't know.
Will Friedle
I'm trying to.
Ryder Strong
No, last week was. Oh, yeah, you're right.
Danielle Fishel
God. 717.
Ryder Strong
The swings.
Will Friedle
No, 718. Might have been how you got your groove back.
Danielle Fishel
It was. Yeah, how we got.
Will Friedle
No, but that is the sneezing. The lottery. Oh, for the love of God.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah. All right. So then we're in the guy's apartment. Jack and Sean are hanging out as brothers, but things look very awkward. Jack finally breaks the silence. How about a movie? Can't believe it took him this long for someone to recommend a movie. Sean leaps up from the couch. Perfect. This is gonna be great. Jack is just as jazzed. Yeah. You know, I'm so glad we're finally doing this. Sean looks through movie options. So what do you want to see? Jack pats his brother on the back. Anything. As long as we're together, buddy. Sean asks, you mind subtitles? Jack nervously wonders, you mean like a foreign movie? Sean quickly realizes that a movie probably isn't the best idea and calls an audible. I know. Bowling Jack isn't sold. Huh? Did you ever smell those rental shoes? But are you hungry? Sean shakes his head. I know.
Will Friedle
Who doesn't like bowling?
Danielle Fishel
Come on. With all the movies. With all the movies, you can't.
Will Friedle
You guys can't pick one movie.
Danielle Fishel
One movie.
Ryder Strong
Can't pick a movie.
Danielle Fishel
I don't even like movies. And I can find.
Ryder Strong
It's got to be a Van Damme movie. Plane. Something. You think?
Will Friedle
What is this? This is 99, 2000.
Ryder Strong
We're always talking about Van Damme movies.
Will Friedle
We're a little past Van Damme. We're past the Van damage.
Danielle Fishel
Sean shakes his head. I just ate. But I could watch you eat. Jack sits down. Maybe we're trying too hard, you know? But then he has an idea. Why don't we just go work out? Sean immediately rejects the idea. I don't do that. Sean paces the kitchen and finally asks, you like poetry? Jack quickly replies, I like riddles.
Ryder Strong
That's a great line.
Will Friedle
It's a great reading. Like riddles. So random. Like riddles.
Danielle Fishel
Sean then suggests them all, and Jack suggests the bank.
Ryder Strong
Why the bank? What is he gonna do?
Will Friedle
Money.
Danielle Fishel
I don't know.
Will Friedle
He likes money.
Danielle Fishel
Count money. For the last couple episodes, Sean asks, confused. Changing the subject, he wonders how the garage sale is going. Jack asks, you want to go check it out now? Didn't the garage sale conversation just happen while you guys were here?
Ryder Strong
Or did I think it's another day? Yes.
Will Friedle
Time passes. That's why they're.
Ryder Strong
Now it's like the next day in the apartment.
Danielle Fishel
You guys are okay.
Will Friedle
Got it. And we still live together. Right?
Ryder Strong
That's what I mean.
Will Friedle
I'm.
Ryder Strong
I live with them. So aren't all three of us.
Will Friedle
All the time we have together?
Ryder Strong
We like our roommates.
Will Friedle
Right?
Danielle Fishel
Yeah.
Ryder Strong
It's like all of our downtime is probably together.
Will Friedle
So just to. Just to get the. The. The. The situation's correct. Cory and Topanga live together.
Ryder Strong
Yes.
Will Friedle
Angela and Rachel live together in one of the dorms. And then the three boys live together in that same apartment. Copy that.
Danielle Fishel
Right. But I do think the implication with the brother situation is that Sean is spending all his free time with Angela. So because of his relationship, he's not spending time with his brother.
Ryder Strong
Sure.
Danielle Fishel
Or he's with his best friend. Maybe even just the four of us.
Will Friedle
Gotcha. And Jack's too ugly to get a woman.
Danielle Fishel
Correct.
Will Friedle
Yeah. Makes sense.
Danielle Fishel
He has money. He's gorgeous money.
Ryder Strong
And he looks like a super.
Danielle Fishel
Talk to anybody.
Will Friedle
Can't get out of the apartment. Yeah, exactly.
Danielle Fishel
He would be so busy with ladies.
Will Friedle
Exactly.
Danielle Fishel
Then. So they're going to leave to go check out the garage sale. They both happily finally leave the apartment with plans. Now we're at the garage sale. Corey and Eric are moving their things around for the big day. In complete silence, Corey looks over at Eric's table. You're gonna sell that Sled? Eric wonders. Yeah, why not? Corey shrugs. Well, we had a lot of fun on that sled. Eric looks off into the distance and smiles. Yeah, we did. What do you think? Two bucks?
Will Friedle
I was, like, so angry. It was like, wow, Isn't.
Danielle Fishel
Isn't this kind of what Eric wants?
Ryder Strong
Yeah.
Will Friedle
For Corey to be like, he's just being a dick? I mean, yeah, I think he's purposely just being.
Ryder Strong
Also, there's another K in the household. They're getting rid of the sled when there's two other kids first.
Danielle Fishel
No other children.
Will Friedle
No, that's true. Also, here's the thing that made me realize, and it made me a little bit sad, is neither of you grew up with a sled. The idea that you have a sled or that there's gonna be a snow day at school the next day, and you wake up and you have to listen to the radio, it's such a different thing. And so for people who did grow up with sleds, those kind of sleds sucked. Oh, yeah, they were terrible. You never. The kid with that said, because it was. It had the two metal runners, you needed a very specific type of snow to make that thing work. Whereas what you wanted is. You want just the regular plastic.
Ryder Strong
Could you turn. Did you have rope on that kind of sled to pull it to turn? Like, how does that slide?
Will Friedle
They would put rope on there? Wait, the one that they're selling?
Ryder Strong
That's in the show? Yeah, yeah.
Will Friedle
No. So you saw. There's a. There's literally, it looks like there's like a hanger at the top that you put your hands on that and that
Ryder Strong
you lay down on it.
Will Friedle
You lay down on it and you gotcha. You turn the sled like that.
Ryder Strong
Oh, okay.
Will Friedle
And so that. Those were the ones where it was like, oh, I've got to take those. You wanted either the toboggan, which is the long wooden one that had the. The curled front, or you wanted, like, the cheap plastic ones. Because the thing about the cheap plastic ones was you would just go at a thousand miles an hour. You couldn't steer it. And God forbid somebody got to the hill before you and placed a jump you didn't know was there. It was like you would hit that thing at 4.
Ryder Strong
My wife broke her back.
Will Friedle
Exactly.
Ryder Strong
That's our family sled memory.
Will Friedle
That was my wife breaking. That's what.
Ryder Strong
That's what Andy will think about with sleds.
Danielle Fishel
That's.
Will Friedle
That's. That was sledding. That's how it was. And it's just that was it. Like oh my God, I just hit a jump that somebody put there at 40. Yeah, it was. Sledding was awesome. Until it wasn't.
Danielle Fishel

Danielle Fishel
Oh yes, we do love a good obsession here. Especially when you could talk about for years and suggest to everyone you know.
Ryder Strong
Steamy romance, addictive Love stories and the book to screen favorites you've already read twice.
Danielle Fishel
Because when a story hits, it really hits off campus.

The kind of stories that pull you in and don't let go in the best way.
Ryder Strong
Your next obsession is waiting.
Danielle Fishel
Watch only on Prime. You know that moment when your kid asks for your phone and you're already bracing yourself for whatever random video they'll disappear into? That's why I started handing them Lingokids instead. It's still screen time, but not that kind of screen time. With Lingokids, they're actually playing, singing, tapping, exploring stories they're learning without the need to complain about it. And I love that it's colorful, high energy and designed so kids stay curious instead of just turning into media zombies. They think they're getting a treat, but I know I'm giving them something special built just for them. Lingokids. Everything kids love. Download the Lingokids app now on your phone or tablet. It's free. Corey rolls his eyes. Yeah, two bucks. The boys go back to work in silence. Corey eventually asks, do you remember the time when we. When the school was closed down for two days and we took the sled to Dead Man's Hill?
Will Friedle
Always a Dead Man's Hill or a Dead Man's Curve. In every movie from the 50s on, there's a dead man. Something. Yep.
Danielle Fishel
Watching this, especially this episode and this scene in particular, really reminded me of how much Ben, when he was doing a serious scene, would pretend that something was in his mouth.
Will Friedle
Yeah.
Ryder Strong
You alright?
Will Friedle
He would. Oh my God, what a weird unlocked memory. He would.
Ryder Strong
Do you remember when curling his tongue? Yeah. That's so funny. Oh my God. He totally did.
Will Friedle
That's right. I wonder. Hokumi did that.
Ryder Strong
Yeah. And then he would do this with his hands like right. He would like tap like the middle.
Will Friedle
Yeah, we all had our thing, so mine. Mine was clicking the top of soda cans. What were yours?
Danielle Fishel
Mine is standing with my hands on the back of my sands. Hands here.
Will Friedle
I don't know man.
Danielle Fishel
I'm such a dramatic scene in every.
Ryder Strong
Such a dramatic walker. Do you notice how I'm always like swinging.
Will Friedle
I'm like.
Ryder Strong
I was watching myself in the back of the student union episode, like carrying coffee, like I'm splashing coffee Everywhere. Cuz the way I'm moving, I'm just so, like.
Will Friedle
It's a bit CRO Magnon in the way that I swagger into position.
Ryder Strong
Like, I, I definitely.
Danielle Fishel
Your skinny little legs are having to carry enormous Jinko jeans, heavy boots and how many books in those pockets?
Will Friedle
And a goatee. And now a goatee. Top of everything. Jeez, you were top heavy at this point. It was a little humanoid. There's times where you're walking.
Ryder Strong
Oh my God, dude, it's so. It's ridiculous.
Will Friedle
It was like a baby bird.
Danielle Fishel
Oh my gosh. My arms are in the exact same position in every single scene. It's so annoying.
Will Friedle
We got our little actor thing.
Danielle Fishel
Oh my God, just the worst. Coldly, Eric says he remembers. Corey goes on. And then we. We were sliding down that hill so fast, we couldn't stop. Cory.
Ryder Strong
Four.
Danielle Fishel
Four car pile out.
Will Friedle
Ah, Dead man's curve.
Danielle Fishel
Eric laughs. Yeah, dad was so mad, he locked us in our room for two weeks. Corey smiles. Yeah, but it was a lot of fun, huh? Eric lowers the price book. 50.
Ryder Strong
It's like, what?
Danielle Fishel
Jesus.
Will Friedle
Yeah, it was. That's when I was kind of like, all right, Eric, 35 times. He's trying to make it right. Like, what are you still.
Ryder Strong
Come on.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah. Then he walks back. At any point, he could have said, like, see, this is the stuff I wanted to do. These are the things I wanted. This is why I wanted to clean out the garage with you. Because I love these memories. Like, at any point, this could be resolved now.
Will Friedle
For Corey. Not for Eric. Not for Eric.
Danielle Fishel
We have a tense commercial break and return to a now crowded garage sale. Potential buyers are everywhere. Topanga is counting money at a front table. When Rachel and Angela arrive with their own boxes. Rachel is impressed. This looks great. Topanga thanks her and asks what they brought. Rachel reveals. Angela and I decided it would be a lot of fun to clean out our room. She shoots daggers directly at Angela. Angela sarcastically adds, and guess what? It wasn't. Rachel laughs. Well, anyway, we found a lot of great stuff. Eric walks over and loves what he sees. Hey, look at all that stuff. That's great. Put it on that table over there. There's plenty of space. Rachel goes to unload her box, but Angela stops her. Wait a minute. This is my purse. Rachel explains. Angela. It's been on the floor for three months. Offended, Angela is shocked by the price tag. A dollar 72. Topanga chimes in. Ooh, I'll take it. And grabs the purse with a smile.
Will Friedle
Yeah, was that also. The purse was that the purse that rud. That. That Sean finds and goes through. That's why I thought there was going to be a callback to that. Where she's like, this is why Sean and I got together.
Danielle Fishel
I can't sell.
Will Friedle
I'll give you five bucks for it. So, like that. That's a funny joke. Yeah, that's what I thought it was gonna be. I couldn't tell. I was like, is that the same bag or not?
Ryder Strong
I don't remember. Yeah.
Danielle Fishel
Eric slowly picks up a little pink top with interest. Rachel, did you wear this? Rachel looks confused. She says she used to.
Ryder Strong
Weird and creepy and like out of nowhere.
Will Friedle
Guarantee you in one of the drafts it was her panties.
Danielle Fishel
Well, yeah. Cause you say, I'll give you 50 bucks for them.
Will Friedle
Yeah, I will guarantee you in a draft it was panties.
Danielle Fishel
He says, them?
Ryder Strong
Really?
Danielle Fishel
Yeah. He says, I'll give you 50 bucks for them.
Will Friedle
Yep. I will guarantee you it was panties.
Ryder Strong
It's so weird.
Will Friedle
Yeah.
Ryder Strong
Just the Rachel obsession. It's never goes away. It never goes away. It's like, yep.
Danielle Fishel
No,
Will Friedle
sold.
Danielle Fishel
Topanga is confused. Why do you want Rachel's old tank top? Eric gets a creepy look on his face. I'm a collector. And then he walks away. Now, at another table, Corey approaches him with a baseball mitt. Hey, Eric, you know I don't want to sell my glove. That's not how he says. Hey, Eric.
Will Friedle
Hey, Eric, I don't want to sell my glove.
Ryder Strong
Hey, Eric. Exclamation point.
Danielle Fishel
Hey.
Will Friedle
Hey, Eric.
Danielle Fishel
Eric.
Will Friedle
And then Eric says, you make it a dollar,
Danielle Fishel
72 cents.
Ryder Strong
What kind of brother are you? I'm a better brother.
Will Friedle
He was a little angry this episode.
Danielle Fishel
Eric corrects him. That's my glove. Corey reminds him. But you gave it to me. Eric takes the mitt out of Corey's hands. Yeah, well, now I'm taking it back. Corey sighs. What is your problem?
Will Friedle
Fair question.
Danielle Fishel
Eric is quick to respond. Look, I don't have a problem. It's a garage sale core, you know, why don't we just sell it? You don't use it, I don't use it. Let's just be done with it. Right? Then a jovial Sean and Jack arrive at the garage sale, cackling, arms wrapped around each other, over exaggerated.
Will Friedle
This is such a rider moment to me. Oh my God, this was so Ryder strong. Just, I'm gonna ham it up as much as I can. The laughing hanging over. I was like, oh my God. There's no Sean there at all.
Ryder Strong
That's all.
Will Friedle
Just Ryder.
Danielle Fishel
Just Ryder. Yeah, that's funny, this guy. He's funny. Shawn laughs. Corey asks, what's so funny. Jack explains, oh, I don't really know. You know, it's just like we've been laughing for the past three hours. Corey lies. Eric and I have been doing the same thing. Topanga walks up and wonders what the new best friend brothers have been up to. Jack says, oh, a little of this, a little of that. And Sean says, and time's just been flying.
Ryder Strong
Flying.
Danielle Fishel
Right, bud. Up high. Up high. Jack aggressively high fives Shawn as he walks to Corey. This felt very much like my mat moment. Not as. Not as. But I see them come in laughing. I come around and I literally say, what have you guys been up to? And Jack says, oh, a little of this, a little of that. And I just turn around and walk away.
Will Friedle
Well, you got your answer.
Ryder Strong
Did you also notice how bad the lighting is in this scene? Yeah, there are shadows. Is it really everybody's face?
Will Friedle
Really?
Ryder Strong
We are shadowing each other constantly. It's like they suddenly forgot how to light the scene. And I think it's because the previous scene took place in the garage.
Danielle Fishel
Deeper. And then.
Ryder Strong
Yeah, deeper in. So then we're out of that. And so the whole lighting grid is not adjusted for being out here. So we are constantly putting shadows on each other's faces. It's so distracting. I was like, what is going on? Like, our show lost the ability to light. Yeah, I guess they just decided they couldn't relight between going in the garage and out of the garage. And it sucks.
Will Friedle
I also can't remember if this was. I mean, I imagine this was pre taped.
Danielle Fishel
I would think I would. Yeah, I would imagine.
Ryder Strong
But then you would have redone the grid. I don't know, man. It's bad. I think it was on a.
Danielle Fishel
He puts his arm around his best friend and quietly confides in him. Oh, man, help me out here. I am dying. He is so freaking boring. Jack is also complaining to Eric. Take me out of this misery, man. You got any guns for sale? And that's when a man walks up to Eric with a pair of slippers. Excuse me, how much are these? Eric is caught off guard. I didn't know those were for sale. The man doesn't care. I'll give you five bucks for him. Eric quickly counters, not understanding how a garage sale or commerce works. I'll give you 20. Who also is
Will Friedle
gonna buy used slippers at a garage sale for $5? Yeah, like, give them something that you would actually use. I mean, just the idea of that is like. Nobody's gonna buy used slippers. Nobody.
Danielle Fishel
I know. What if they're not used? What if they were just never used?
Ryder Strong
Baby shoes. Never worn. Yeah. Something's weird. Oh, that's a. The shortest short story ever written.
Will Friedle
You know that?
Danielle Fishel
Yeah. Yeah. The saddest.
Ryder Strong
Saddest, saddest. Six words be different with exclamation points. Baby shoes. Exclamation point. $2 never worn.
Danielle Fishel
The man accepts the deal, and Eric is thrilled. They shake hands, and Eric thinks he pulled a fast one. Corey walks over, but Eric is anything but happy to see him. Corey is annoyed. Eric, come on. Why are you being such a jerk? Before he can answer, a lady walks over with a picture frame in hand. Excuse me, honey. How much is this frame? He barely looks at her. Just one second. Then he turns back to his brother. Look, Eric, I've apologized a hundred times, all right? What do you want me to do? Eric, still just focusing on his table of offerings, says nothing. The lady with the frame looks at the item while she waits. It couldn't be very much because there's a scratch on it. Corey looks back at her. Look, lady, just one second. I can't wait here forever. The lady says, frustrated. He asks for one second and returns his focus to Eric. I'm not a mind reader, okay? What do you want me to do? The lady chimes in one more time. You're not going to sell anything if you ignore the customers. Corey turns back to the lady. He's had enough. Could you be any more annoying? The man who bought the slippers from Eric now walks up. Hey, buddy, watch your mouth. That's my wife. Corey laughs and doesn't back down. Could she be any more annoying? The man does not appreciate the question and punches Corey right in the face.
Will Friedle
Yeah.
Ryder Strong
Eric comes out of nowhere, out of nowhere. It's like, what? A conflict with strangers.
Danielle Fishel
Strangers.
Will Friedle
Pretty aggressive.
Ryder Strong
Like, why is Corey so.
Danielle Fishel
I know. Eric immediately starts punching the man in the stomach while yelling with his grunt, that's my brother. Nobody hits my brother. But to his dismay, the man stands right back up, unfazed by the punches. And he looks even angrier than when Corey insulted his wife. Eric quickly tries to make light of the situation. So a guy walks into a bar, but the man just starts wailing on Eric. Knowing his brother is in trouble. Corey jumps on the man's back. That's my brother. Corey, Eric and the man are rolling around on the floor when his wife joins in. She's hitting him with a weapon. Her purse. Eventually, everyone except topanga in the garage sale, starts fighting. It's utter chaos. It's the Royal Rumble.
Will Friedle
It's also a very badly choreographed fight scene. They're, like, picking Shawn up at one point, and it's like, why is he in somebody's arms? And he gets carried away. It was. Yeah, it was a strange melee.
Danielle Fishel
I looked to see what I was doing. I go and sit back in the queen's chair with a mug.
Ryder Strong
Are you serious?
Danielle Fishel
Yeah. I walk over and sit in the chair and watch like this.
Will Friedle
Because I think you like the violence. That's what they set up before.
Danielle Fishel
I love it.
Will Friedle
Yeah.
Danielle Fishel
Love the violence. That's so Topanga.
Will Friedle
Yeah, very much so.
Danielle Fishel
To love the bloodshed, you know, again,
Will Friedle
it's not topanga anymore. It's Mrs. Matthews, different character.
Danielle Fishel
What do you remember about the blocking or choreography of this? I mean, I'm assuming there was a stunt man there. And, like, what do you remember about the fight?
Will Friedle
So I remember working on it with the other actor, who, again, I'm sorry, what was his name?
Danielle Fishel
Man, man, man. Jesse Corty.
Will Friedle
Yeah, I remember working on it with Jesse, who was a very. Is it is a very good actor. I've seen him on West Wing and other things. He's a very good actor and was very giving actor. So, you know, especially when you don't know somebody, they're a guest star, and you come in and then you have to do something physical or a fight scene or something like that.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah.
Will Friedle
So, yeah, I remember him and I working on it, how it was going to be with Ben. And, you know, again, by this point, I think it was just kind of. We might have had a stunt person there. Probably by law, we had to have a stunt person there, but it was just us going, hey, then I'll bunch you like this. Because it wasn't like, you know, being thrown around or anything crazy. It was the other stuff going on around that got a little ridiculous, where it's like, why are they picking up Sean? Like, what's happening there?
Danielle Fishel
So why does everyone start.
Will Friedle
Yeah, what would happen is those two people would fight. They'd form a pile in the middle, and everyone would circle around, either try to break them up or, you know, nowadays take out their phones and film it. Yes, but. So, yeah, it's. It was just. It was a. It's a sitcom fight. It's a Friday night sitcom fight.
Danielle Fishel
Corey, Eric and Topanga are in the hospital waiting room. Eric's face is bloody and bruised. He's holding an ice pack in his hand. You know what I'm gonna hang out here just to make sure everything works out okay. Topanga agrees. I think you should. And realizes the boys have things to work out. I'm gonna go get some coffee from the cafeteria now. Alone, the boys sit in silence, both obviously in pain. After a little while, Eric wonders, how's the arm? Corey looks up. Well, I won't be using that catcher's mitt anytime soon. Eric smiles. Well, that's good, because I sold it for a dime.
Ryder Strong
Jesus.
Danielle Fishel
Corey admits. You know, Eric, I really appreciate the way you had my back today. And, you know, thanks for waiting with me here, too. Eric flips through a magazine. You rifle through magazines so fast in this scene.
Ryder Strong
Yeah, business.
Danielle Fishel
I was taking page, page, page.
Will Friedle
I'm taking it all too. That's how fast I read. That's how fast I was taking it all in.
Danielle Fishel
Eric flips through a magazine. It's okay. Corey is adamant.
Will Friedle
No.
Danielle Fishel
No, it's not okay. I mean, because you're my brother. And today you reminded me how important it is to have a big brother to look out for you. And I'd like to think that I'd be there for you too. Too. Eric nods again. I'm sure you would. Corey continues. Because that's what being brothers is all about, right? Being there for each other when one of us is in trouble. Eric closes the magazine and puts it on the table. Yeah, as long as we don't have to see each other in between, right? Corey doesn't get it. Eric asks, what about when we're not in trouble, Cor? Well, we can do stuff.
Ryder Strong
Corey responds, eric is just not letting this go.
Will Friedle
No, no, no.
Ryder Strong
Like, Cory is really heartfelt things.
Danielle Fishel
Yes.
Will Friedle
All episode. Frankly, that's the thing. It's. He's really. He's apologized now. This is like. This is to Danielle's point where it's like we've seen the same scene over and over again. It's just. Yeah, he's apologized 10 times at this point.
Ryder Strong
Wow.
Will Friedle
And that's why I wish there was some build to Eric. He started situation and he ended there. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Danielle Fishel
Eric isn't so sure. I don't know. Today was a pretty big day. You know, a garage sale, a fist fight. Ended up in the emergency room. I'm not sure we can count on this kind of thing happening all the time. Time. Corey leans in. Eric, look, I'm really trying here. I just. I just want everything to be all right with us. Eric points to himself, then Corey. Big brother, little brother, I have your back. You have mine. That's it. Corey's losing his patience. Damn it, Eric. Is this all because I didn't let you clean out the stupid garage? All right, I'm sorry. Now what do you want from me? Eric raises his voice, too. Look, it's not about the garage, okay? It's about the fact that you shut me out of your life a long time ago. Ago. Corey is confused and says that isn't the case. Eric is getting animated. Well, let's look at it this way. We used to do stuff together, and now we don't. Corey is offended. Yeah, we do. Eric wants to know when Corey stutters. We. We just spent the whole day together. Eric looks even angrier now today. Oh, yeah, you're right. I forgot. You know something? I take it back. It is about cleaning the stupid garage. Dad wanted us to do that together, and you chose to leave me out. Those are our memories. Do you have any idea how it felt to go down there and see Shawn and Topanga there instead of me? It's starting to sink in for Corey. Look, Eric, we're brothers, okay? Eric cuts him off. You know what? You're right. We're brothers. We're not friends. It means you don't have to like me and you don't. With that, Eric storms off. Topanga walks in with two coffees just as Eric is leaving. What happened? She asks. And Cory just sighs.
Will Friedle
And that's. That's it.
Danielle Fishel
That's it.
Will Friedle
That's it for the Eric and Cory storyline. Until Eric comes in and shoves him once. Which again, is very.
Ryder Strong
Part of.
Will Friedle
That's very real in that it's very brotherly. But it's also. It's. That's the whole conclusion.
Danielle Fishel
It feels like there were a lot of. A lot of emotional truths about certain relationships. Let's just say brothers. In this case at least this particular brother relationship, which is like, I used to be your favorite person and now your life doesn't feel like it is time for me as being one. One aspect of the storyline which Topanga brings up. Yes. The other storyline really seems to be. You know what? I guess as your definition of being brothers means that we're only there for each other when one of us is in trouble. And my definition of brothers would be. Be that we shouldn't have to. Yeah. That we should be friends. And that I want you to like me.
Will Friedle
Yeah.
Danielle Fishel
And then the other storyline is. But even when you really frustrate me and you hurt my feelings, I am always your brother.
Will Friedle
Right.
Danielle Fishel
I'll always be there And I'm always going to be there for you, even when we don't have a resolution to our fight. And I come in and I play like that's where the button is. But like, I feel like those are all totally interesting points and maybe some of them could have been blended a little better. I'm not sure what the takeaway of this episode, what the real lesson was. I think it got a little muddled.
Will Friedle
Yeah. Maybe the idea was a good one, but the execution wasn't great.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah. And again, I think maybe just too many characters to service.
Will Friedle
Yeah. But I still. Yeah, again, I think the way I watched it was just different. I think it hit me differently.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah.
Will Friedle
Brother. I mean, relationships with brothers is complicated.
Ryder Strong
It really is.
Will Friedle
We all have brothers, all of us here. And we all know that they. They. They're living, breathing things. The relationships themselves. I don't mean the brothers. I mean the relationship.
Ryder Strong
You have to feed them. They. They require water.
Will Friedle
You don't. They feed themselves. No, I meant the relationships are living, breathing things that are very complicated.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah. That night in the garage, Corey, now in a wrist brace, is putting away boxes from the garage sale. He sees a blue bike and longingly stares at it. Topanga walks in holding a plate and sits down on a workbench. I think I sit on a ladder.
Will Friedle
But whatever you and I were trying to figure out, by the way, took most of the night, as most of our conversation. What kind of sandwich do you think that was? Because it was thin.
Danielle Fishel
It's peanut butter and jelly.
Will Friedle
That's what I thought. Or we thought a one slice bologna, one slice.
Danielle Fishel
Could be white, could be one slice bologna, one slice cheese.
Will Friedle
Yeah.
Danielle Fishel
It's definitely not turkey because you agree
Will Friedle
that you'd see the pile. Or any kind of.
Danielle Fishel
And there was nothing that had. And there's nothing that had lettuce, anything. Again. Again, I didn't even see any mayo, so I. Yeah, and if it's peanut butter and jelly, it's not a good
Will Friedle
one because it's very thin. That's like, this is all we had left. Eat it and shut up.
Ryder Strong
Kind of important. This is. Yeah.
Will Friedle
Well, you didn't even notice it.
Ryder Strong
Nope. Sandwich.
Danielle Fishel
Corey points to the bike. So many days spent trying to master this. And then that magical day when everything clicked. Go, Eric, stay up there. You can do this. That's cute. Funny, Topanga, smile, Miles. You guys did a lot of things together. Corey somberly agrees and puts the bike in the corner. Yeah, we did, but that was a long time ago. Topanga offers him a Sandwich and some help. Cory reminds her, no, that's what got me into trouble in the first place. He doesn't get it. Am I wrong here? I mean, if I did something wrong, tell me. Well, I. Topanga starts, but Corey cuts her off. I mean, I realize that I'm not the perfect brother, okay, but neither is he. I mean, we're talking about Eric here. Here. She agrees. He rattles on. The guy's a total screw up. I mean, we spent our wedding night in jail because of him, remember? Topanka smiles. I remember having one of the most amazing weddings in the best hotel in Philadelphia because of him frantically moving boxes. Corey continues ranting, but it's not like we're still kids anymore. I mean, we're adults now. We have our own lives. Let him get a wife and try to keep up with everybody. Topanga sarcastically asks you like that cast. And then threatens him. You can have another one. Corey moves on. Look, I did everything I could possibly do to try and patch things, okay? He rejected me every step of the way. He's the one that sold our memories. Topanga raises her eyebrows. I'm not sure it's that simple. Corey throws a box down. We're completely different people, Topanga. And besides, where is it written that you have to spend time with your brother? So now he. He doesn't like spending time with his brother. He.
Will Friedle
Yeah, I think we got more. I wish we got more into that. I wish we got more into Corey actually realizing that. And again, this would have been a meta, great way for Corey to look at Topanga and be like, he has changed so much over the years. I don't even recognize Eric anymore.
Danielle Fishel
And maybe he doesn't realize how much Eric has changed. Maybe. Maybe that's part of the episode too, is like, dude, I see you at holidays and God, if you needed the shirt off my back, I would give it to you. And your point is? I. You want it to be more and for him to be like, how could we possibly have more? You're such a. A screw up. And then be like, is he though, or are you seeing this older version of him?
Will Friedle
Was he like this all the time? There's ways to that. It could have been done in a more interesting way. Yeah, I don't agree.
Danielle Fishel
I don't know what my pitch is, but I. I don't.
Ryder Strong
Okay, well, it feels like Topanga's teaching Corey something. And in the previous scene, Eric is teaching Corey something, but I don't know what that something is. Like, ultimately, I don't Know what Corey really did wrong?
Will Friedle
Wrong.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah. Yeah.
Ryder Strong
And I don't know how to leave this episode being like, oh, I also
Danielle Fishel
don't know how Cory really feels.
Ryder Strong
Right.
Danielle Fishel
Does Corey feel like I don't want to be friends with my brother? It feels like in this scene, it does.
Will Friedle
Yeah.
Danielle Fishel
But it feels like in all the previous scenes, he just didn't understand. He just really, truly didn't think it was that big of a deal to clean out the garage. He didn't think it was. He didn't notice there was a conflict with his brother.
Ryder Strong
But then he said, said, I'm glad you brought it to my attention. I'm sorry.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah.
Ryder Strong
And you had my back during the fight, so obviously we're still good.
Will Friedle
Yeah.
Danielle Fishel
But then the next day, he's like, who says I have to hang out with you?
Will Friedle
Yeah.
Danielle Fishel
It's like, oh, 10 cents. Topinka chuckles I remember when that's all you wanted to do. I was jealous. Sean was too. COREY SIGHS it's easier when you're kids, you know? I mean, I was there, he was there. You hop on a sled, and the next thing you know, you're laughing at an intersection. I mean, time goes by and somehow what you had just sort of fades away. Topanga explains that doesn't mean you can't get it back. You have the rest of your life to make new memories. The question now is just, do you want to. I'll see you at home. Topanga leaves the garage and Corey goes back to moving boxes, eventually stopping for a second to let everything seep in. And then Eric walks in. They have a tense stare down, but eventually Eric starts helping his brother clean up. They start moving the boxes together, and Eric playfully shoves him. They finally get some brotherly time together, even without a word said. And then there's no tag.
Will Friedle
That's the episode. I'm gonna ask this again, a logistic question. How far do you think Cory and Topanga live from? Is the school from their house? And then did they bring two cars? Or is Corey now just trapped in the house? Because there was no Uber? And so it's like, see, at home, we drove together, we took the subway.
Ryder Strong
Yeah, well, I mean, maybe.

Episode Theme: A critical and nostalgic breakdown of Boy Meets World’s “Brotherly Shove,” focusing on brotherhood, drifting relationships, series weariness in Season 7, and what makes for compelling “family” episodes in sitcoms.
The hosts return to “Brotherly Shove,” an episode where the Matthews family’s garage sale unexpectedly rekindles tension between Eric and Corey, exploring how siblings grow apart as they enter adulthood. The conversation dives into story structure, emotional stakes, series context, and personal reflections from the cast on brotherhood both on- and off-screen.
The hosts’ main takeaway is that “Brotherly Shove” aims for an honest exploration of brotherhood but falls short in execution, with unclear emotional stakes and limited narrative growth. Their discussion is not only a critique of this particular episode but also a meditation on what Boy Meets World did best in earlier seasons: blending family warmth, humor, and real emotional lessons. Despite their frustration, the cast’s own life experiences with siblings—and what is left unsaid in family relationships—infuse the conversation with authenticity, humor, and warmth.
Notable Quote to End:
Will Friedle (on brothers): “Relationships with brothers are complicated. ... The relationships themselves... are living, breathing things that are very complicated.” (77:24)
