Ryder Strong
Oh, God. I want to talk about that, though. We haven't even talked about it.
Danielle Fishel
I know.
Ryder Strong
Because I want to hear. I don't know anything. So.
Danielle Fishel
I mean, you. Right. Are you saying you don't know anything? I. I told. I sent you a text.
Ryder Strong
That's all I know.
Danielle Fishel
Okay.
Ryder Strong
Literally, that text. So. And I was like, what?
Danielle Fishel
I know. You did seem genuinely shocked.
Ryder Strong
I was, too. I can't believe you're taking on more stuff. Honestly, that's what it is. Because I'm like, you've. The directing, the podcasting, all the. You're. I'm like, the amount of stuff that you're taking on. Still doing conventions and live shows.
Danielle Fishel
Free by Daniel Fish Caroline and I.
Ryder Strong
Can'T believe that then this got added on. I was like, what? You're.
Will Friedle
You're building that plane in your free time? I mean, it's all right.
Danielle Fishel
Exactly. I'm getting my helicopter license. Yes. I am doing Dancing with the Stars.
Ryder Strong
Wow.
Will Friedle
I can't. I can't. This is.
Ryder Strong
I don't.
Will Friedle
Yeah.
Danielle Fishel
I am so excited. I also feel like I have to cover this. This is.
Will Friedle
It's August 13th.
Danielle Fishel
I am. I have an NDA. But I obviously, I had to tell you guys because it changes. It obviously changes. Well, for one, you're my best friends. I have to tell you. But it also changes our. Our schedule.
Commercial Announcer
So.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah. I'm so excited. I have always wanted to do it. Thought to myself, yes, someday I will do Dancing with the Stars. They have asked me before, and it was never. It was just never the right time. There was always something that just made me say no. And yet I Knew I wanted to do it. I knew I wanted that type of challenge. I think the show is so beautifully done. My grandparents were huge fans. It's one of those projects that, like, people in your family will say, like, hey, why don't you do Dancing with the Stars, right?
Ryder Strong
Not to me.
Will Friedle
No. No one says that.
Ryder Strong
No.
Will Friedle
People I get. I get, why aren't you doing that hot dog eating contest, stuff like that?
Ryder Strong
But never I get told, stop dancing.
Will Friedle
Please stop moving.
Ryder Strong
Please stop moving. Just. Just listen.
Will Friedle
You should sit down.
Danielle Fishel
Ryder, can you sit still?
Ryder Strong
Can you just sit still? I know where I am, but nobody wants to see that.
Will Friedle
That's how I am too, with dancing. Same thing. Y.
Danielle Fishel
But yeah, I'm really excited about it. I also am going to be launching a new podcast in conjunction with it. It will be called Danielle with the Stars.
Will Friedle
Yay.
Danielle Fishel
And I'm going to do two episodes a week. One episode that'll be a recap of the show. So all the behind the scenes things, you wouldn't know from the performances, whether there was a wardrobe malfunction, whether I missed a step, whether somebody, you know, I stepped on my partner's toes. I'll tell you all of. I'll tell you about the music choice.
Ryder Strong
I can't do more podcasting.
Will Friedle
I can't.
Ryder Strong
I mean, you're also going to be physically working the whole time, right? I mean, like, exercise, dance all day.
Danielle Fishel
Eight hours a day.
Will Friedle
This is going to be lots of fun. And by that, I mean for me, watching you try to accomplish all this at the same time. Ryder and I are already taking bets on the first snapping watching episode where it's just like, did Danielle stab you last night? Yeah, with a pen. I asked her a name. It's like, hey, do you remember? And I got a pen in the side of the neck. So.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah.
Ryder Strong
I can't believe you're pulling this off.
Danielle Fishel
The good news of it is that I'm not actually going to be able to do much of anything else, so I'm not going to be able to direct. I'm not going to be able to. Yeah, I'm going to be so focused on this that in some ways, I kind of think it'll possibly feel like a break. I don't know. I doubt it. Are you kidding me?
Ryder Strong
It's going to be a whole new life adventure.
Will Friedle
Oh, my God. That's like saying the gonorrhea is a break from the clap. Like, no, that's not.
Ryder Strong
To go take a break and climb Everest.
Will Friedle
I feel like I need a real Not a break at all.
Danielle Fishel
I know, I know. I'm just trying to give myself.
Ryder Strong
I know what you're saying, actually. I think. I think you're right. I think it'll feel like a reset.
Will Friedle
Yeah.
Ryder Strong
So all. You know. Because you're not the type of person that likes to sit around and relax anyway. No, and neither am I. Like, I go on vacation and I'm more stressed out than ever. When I'm, like, in life and I'm got a new project and I'm focused on something, I actually feel more relaxed than literally, I'm with you, actually.
Will Friedle
Yeah. I have. I have a question, Danielle, and it's an honest question.
Danielle Fishel
Okay. Can you dance? I don't know.
Ryder Strong
I don't. But you dance for fun.
Will Friedle
Like, you, like.
Danielle Fishel
Correct.
Ryder Strong
You've always garnered.
Danielle Fishel
I have rhythm. I have rhythm. I don't have two left feet.
Will Friedle
Okay.
Danielle Fishel
I enjoy dancing. There's never been a wedding where I haven't been on the dance floor. I'm comfortable dancing, but I have never taken a dance class.
Will Friedle
So you're not Elaine for the show, though? I don't.
Danielle Fishel
No, I don't think so.
Ryder Strong
I've never seen the show. So does this mean that you might get eliminated if you're not, like, good enough? Are we gonna be a competition?
Will Friedle
Yeah.
Danielle Fishel
First of all, this is its 34th season, so it has in 34 seasons. It's had quite an evolution. Will's very good friend, Sabrina Bryan, other co host of Magical Rewind, is a professional dancer. And when she joined, you know, she's been dancing since she was a kid. She incredible. Had the highest rated score on her season. The highest rated score up to that point. Five seasons in, no one had been rated higher than her on, like, one of their early dances. And yet she was eliminated in week six. And I'm gonna talk to her. I get to interview her about her experience. And she's gonna be one of the guests on Danielle with the Stars. And I get to talk to her about, like, why we think that is. But, you know, even if I am great, it doesn't mean people are gonna like me enough to vote for me or.
Ryder Strong
Okay, so it's audience voting.
Danielle Fishel
Audience voting. It's not like judges and judges. It's a. And then the math. Exactly. You don't really know exactly how that math works.
Will Friedle
But it's not just a popularity contest. Like, they love you as Topanga, so they. You're just gonna keep getting through even if you're falling all over yourself.
Ryder Strong
I mean, if the audience votes for You.
Will Friedle
Yeah, I guess that's true. Yeah.
Danielle Fishel
If. Exactly. If. If for whatever reason people decided she's a terrible dancer but we really like her, they could keep me around or I could be, you know, a really good dancer, and they could be like, we think she's annoying. Get her the heck out of there. So. So it's really just for the good. The good thing is for me is that the pressure's off to figure it out. There's no. I'm not gonna be able to figure it out. The only thing I'm good at doing is being myself, and that's all I'm gonna be able to do. I'm gonna. I'm also gonna try to have more fun. You know, my new word that I keep trying to.
Will Friedle
You're still stumbling over it as you try to say it.
Danielle Fishel
I'm trying to have a little bit more.
Will Friedle
Yeah.
Danielle Fishel
So I'm gonna try to not beat myself up too much. You should. That's good.
Will Friedle
Cause you're gonna be physically beating yourself up, so probably mentally beating yourself up too isn't a good thing because your body's probably gonna be pretty haggard, especially at the beginning.
Danielle Fishel
I know. Did you just say my body's gonna be haggard? Yeah. Okay.
Will Friedle
You're gonna be training hours a day.
Danielle Fishel
I don't think haggard is a good word.
Will Friedle
Okay.
Danielle Fishel
It's gonna be tired.
Ryder Strong
She's probably gonna get toned and thick.
Danielle Fishel
I'm gonna shape getting there.
Will Friedle
It's gonna be. It's the exercise. The amount of exerc dancers do especially for this kind of training is going to be pretty staggering.
Danielle Fishel
I know.
Ryder Strong
If you made a list of things that Ryder doesn't want to do.
Will Friedle
Oh, my God.
Ryder Strong
The beach. Let's see. Reality show in general. Dancing, going out dancing, Having to learn a choreography.
Danielle Fishel
It's like you literally eating tacos.
Ryder Strong
No. You combine some of the. My least favorite things into one project.
Will Friedle
It's dancing, ladies and gentlemen, Dancing with the stars.
Ryder Strong
Being famous in front of the camera. Being judged for how you look and talk and interviewed and dance.
Will Friedle
And then you gotta dance all my worst things.
Ryder Strong
Like, oh, my God, no.
Will Friedle
Yeah.
Danielle Fishel
So.
Ryder Strong
But with that said, it's so great for you.
Danielle Fishel
Will you come watch a tv? Will you be interviewed on camera? No, no, you don't have to be interviewed. You just have to sit in the audience.
Ryder Strong
Of course.
Danielle Fishel
Of course you're watching.
Ryder Strong
I will support you in all of the ways except being on camera.
Will Friedle
Okay.
Danielle Fishel
Now, I mean, they might show your face.
Will Friedle
Yeah, of course.
Ryder Strong
No, you know what? I should. You know, I Should watch the show because I've never seen it, and you should have me on your podcast at one point to just sort of get like, my raw perspective as somebody who has never seen any of it. I will be there and I will. I will give you. You know, my analysis is there.
Will Friedle
Is there when we do come and see you, because I've already asked if we can come and see you. Is there a size limit to the things we can bring in to throw at you while you're dancing?
Danielle Fishel
I am pretty sure you will get kicked out if you throw something at me while we're dancing.
Will Friedle
Okay, so there's not like. Well, you can bring something the size of M&Ms.
Danielle Fishel
Like, you can bring tomatoes.
Will Friedle
Okay. I was just checking.
Danielle Fishel
I don't know the rules. Is it money?
Will Friedle
I haven't seen it. That's what you want to do. You want people throwing money at you while you're dancing. That's a different career.
Danielle Fishel
If you're going to throw something.
Will Friedle
It's a different career. I love that. Well, we're very proud of you. I'd like to say, for. Very proud of you. You know, we'll help however we can because your time is going to be very limited. So whatever we can do to help out, you know, we will. And of course we're going to support you. I've already voted a bunch of times.
Ryder Strong
Times.
Danielle Fishel
Thank you. You are allowed to vote 10 times per. Per method. Okay, so I think there's text and email, so if you'll just. If you'll just start scheduling your texts.
Ryder Strong
World listeners could really give you the boost you need.
Will Friedle
Oh, guys.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah. Listen, if you don't think I'll be adding in to the end of our episode after the merch. Oh, no, I'm not gonna do it in at the end of the show when people may have already clicked out. I'm gonna put it in the middle. In the middle of the show where you're already listening.
Will Friedle
I like that idea. I'd also like to pitch a new reality show, which is people like Ryder and I having to learn how to dance at gunpoint.
Ryder Strong
Yeah.
Will Friedle
No, that's the show. Yeah, that's the show. That's what I love about it.
Danielle Fishel
I just want to read the definition of haggard. It's looking exhausted and unwell, especially from fatigue, worry, or suffering.
Ryder Strong
Yeah, that's the problem. It's about looks.
Will Friedle
It's not how you feel. I stand by everything I say. Your body's gonna be haggard. I stand by it Again, Glowing. I'll say it Again to writer.
Danielle Fishel
You get it.
Will Friedle
I'm going to be. Your haggard body will be glowing.
Danielle Fishel
I will glisten like a pig.
Will Friedle
Exactly. We'll get you a cold plunge. You'll be fine.
Danielle Fishel
Welcome to Pod Meets World. I'm Danielle Fishel.
Ryder Strong
I'm Ryder Strong.
Will Friedle
And I'm Will Friedel.
Danielle Fishel
The number two definition is of a hawk caught for training as a wild adult of more than 12 months.
Will Friedle
That's what I mean. That's what I meant. You're going to be a young that's just wrote email.
Danielle Fishel
Lol. That is two ways you can vote for people. Via text and via email.
Will Friedle
Really?
Ryder Strong
That's great.
Will Friedle
Good. So we can give you 20 at a time.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah, 20 total. 10 via text, 10 via email.
Will Friedle
I mean, they really do get old people voting with email. They do.
Danielle Fishel
I mean. AOL.com from Will.
Will Friedle
Here it comes. Exactly. I would like to vote for Danielle Fishel. Stop. Please allow Danielle to win. Stop.
Danielle Fishel
Oh, my God. Anyone else ever get that nagging feeling your dog is bored? Like, my brunchie just stares at me sometimes with that really again? Look, and I instantly feel guilty.
Will Friedle
Yeah, same here. Sammy has mastered the art of the disappointed sigh. Like she has bills. So mealtime needs to be more than just a pit stop. It needs to be an event.

Okay, can we talk about the power of a go to outfit? Because when you're juggling school, drop off a dog who needs his flea meds bad and a grocery list you started on the back of your hand. Putting on something that can keep up with you is key. So picture me at the park, hair in a claw clip, one shoe untied, granola bar crumbs everywhere and my kids treating jungle gym like the ropes of a wrestling ring. Then someone walks up to you and says cute dress and you say thanks, it's from JCPenney. And that's when you see it. The wait, seriously face. Yeah, JCPenney. Totally underrated style destination. You ever find a dusty old VHS tape labeled Spring Break 98 and think, wow, do I even own something that plays this anymore? Because last time I tried, I put it in a toaster. Don't recommend it. Look, our family spent years recording everything. Birthdays, dance recitals, that one Thanksgiving where Uncle Jerry deep fried his eyebrows. But now it's all just sitting in boxes, forever sent to memory jail. That's why I use Legacy Box. I just ship them a bunch of my old tapes, film reels, and even photos. It is super easy. You get a box, you toss everything in it, and their team hand digitizes it right here in the US it's like magic. And don't forget about my interpretive dance to Mambo Number five. You're welcome. Group Chat. Over a million families have used Legacy Box and honestly, it feels good to finally preserve your precious memories. Don't let your family's story fade away on outdated formats. Preserve it. Share it. Pass it on. Go to legacybox.com meets world to get 50% off today. That's legacybox.com meets world. Well, it is time once again to call it a day on another Boy Meets World season. This time Season six. And you know what that means. That's right, incessant social media comments asking when we're starting season seven, but also the annual episode draft. Will, Ryder and I have recapped, we've analyzed and we've romped our way through the last 22 episodes. And now it's time to pick our favorites. We will each select titles following a randomized draft order, then snake through the three of us back and forth, forth and back, each picking an episode, then taking it off the board. Then at the end, you, the listeners will vote for who you think compiled the best team through Instagram comments and a winner will be crowned forever making them the season six king or queen. Now, Will was winless, but has turned it around lately with I think two wins in a row in draft two, baby. But season six really is its own beast here. It feels a little like a pro sports expansion draft. The pickings are what you might call slim.
Ryder Strong
I don't know what to do guys.
Will Friedle
I, I, I, I Had I. Well, we'll get into it. Yeah. I. I.
Danielle Fishel
Was it harder to remember the episodes this time? Me too.
Will Friedle
I literally went back and listened to our podcast to see if we like it or not.
Ryder Strong
I went look up multiple episodes.
Will Friedle
Yes.
Ryder Strong
Because the synopsis online are just like. I'm like that. I don't even. Yeah, there's a real lack of a through look through like a through line or something that's like making it hard.
Will Friedle
I didn't know. I was like, did we watch them differently? Did we go quicker or slower? What? Ha. I was like, no, I've retained none of these. I don't. I had to go back and literally listen to the podcast to get to hearing. I heard Danielle. I know, 22 times last night. Go. So before I read our guest stars, does anybody have any thoughts? I heard that times last night because I couldn't remember whether we liked them or not.
Danielle Fishel
Not.
Ryder Strong
I don't either. I should have done that, actually. I'm probably just going to repeat myself or maybe completely contradict myself.
Danielle Fishel
I am so jealous of the time you guys have. I don't know when you found time to do any of this.
Will Friedle
I did it last night.
Ryder Strong
I was Googling this morning. I'm literally trying to Google it. I'm like, what? I'm looking at it right now. I'm like, I do. I remember that episode. I think my problem is even the ones I think I liked, I don't know if I like them.
Will Friedle
But here's the. The other difference is going to be there's not a. And again, I don't know if this is. This is. I mean, obviously it doesn't bode well for the season, but there's not a single episode on my list that if one of you takes it, I'm gonna go, oh, come on. I wanted that one.
Ryder Strong
Really?
Will Friedle
No.
Ryder Strong
Oh, I think so. For me, there's only a few that I'm.
Will Friedle
I mean, let's do some trading then. Let's trade before we get on the clock because you can have whatever you want. There's some that are better than others and some that are good. But, you know, there's. In previous seasons, it was like, oh, my God, I want hair today, goon tomorrow. Or, oh, my God, I want this one. Or I want, you know, know, pairing off. Whatever one you. You thought of, you. You kind of stake your claim to and you hope I get picked first. I. Yeah, okay. I want to pick some.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah, I think I. I think I have a strategy.
Ryder Strong
Okay.
Danielle Fishel
Okay. But I don't do you want to know what it is?
Will Friedle
Picking step by step episodes?
Ryder Strong
No, I think we should find out. What? I mean, don't you want to wait? Because I might have a strategy too.
Danielle Fishel
Okay.
Ryder Strong
Depending on where I am in the draft, so.
Danielle Fishel
Right.
Ryder Strong
Because I.
Danielle Fishel
Okay, well, let's not waste any more time then. Oh, God. The season six draft order is as follows. Danielle will writer.
Will Friedle
Okay.
Danielle Fishel
All right, so I have the first pick here.
Will Friedle
Oh, I can't believe you took that. Yeah.
Danielle Fishel
I'm going to take.
Ryder Strong
Wow.
Danielle Fishel
All right. I'm gonna take season six, episode 15, road trip, the episode with nobody's name.
Ryder Strong
Are you really?
Danielle Fishel
I really am. I'm digging it.
Ryder Strong
Your strategy is to just take the crap, isn't it?
Danielle Fishel
I'm.
Ryder Strong
Sandwiched.
Danielle Fishel
How do you even think about taking.
Ryder Strong
Nobody Honestly had the same idea. I was like, maybe we just go through and pick like the absolute dregs of the season because we could just get the fans to vote for.
Will Friedle
Brilliant.
Danielle Fishel
Listen, I'm take. I'm taking it. It's mine. It's off the board. Season six, episode 15, road trip. To get his mind off of his dad's death, Shawn brings Corey along on a soul searching road trip where they end up at a truck stop with the band Nobody's Angel.
Ryder Strong
I think it's truly the worst episode of the season and maybe one of the worst episodes of Boy Meets World. I mean, I would put it in the bottom five.
Will Friedle
Agreed.
Ryder Strong
I think. I think.
Will Friedle
Agreed.
Ryder Strong
But also, I guess there are worse episodes for me personally or that I look at and I'm like, ugh, I just don't like that episode. But I think that we can just put it in the bottom five for kind of for everybody. I don't know if anybody out there is like, I really love the. The Nobody's angel episode, but I will.
Danielle Fishel
Say there's a great chat appearance. That little scene, that last scene is. Is a real bright spot in an otherwise.
Ryder Strong
See, now I'm really screwed because now I kind of want to compete with Danielle because, you know, she's just gonna get the. She's gonna get her picks.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah, I'm gonna get them.
Ryder Strong
She's gonna get them. So I don't have to of like.
Danielle Fishel
It'S a race to the bottom of the ocean.
Ryder Strong
So now I kind of have to pick a crappy one. Just like, listen, I might just take the. The Everybody Loves Stewart episode because I feel like that's going to be high on your list.
Will Friedle
Wow. Well. Well, then I will.
Danielle Fishel
With our. With our second pick.
Will Friedle
Will. Yeah, the The. The highway has opened. The freeway has opened up. Everybody took a weird on ramp, and I'm by myself. I'm going to try to pick the good one ones. So there.
Danielle Fishel
Okay.
Will Friedle
I. I won the last two, so I can't imagine I'm gonna win a third. So it doesn't matter anyway.
Danielle Fishel
Okay.
Will Friedle
In no particular order, I guess.
Danielle Fishel
Okay.
Will Friedle
We all really liked it. And I went back and. And kind of the A story was good. The B story was good. I'm gonna start with. Ain't college great?
Danielle Fishel
Really?
Will Friedle
Yeah.
Danielle Fishel
Great. Okay, let me get to.
Will Friedle
That's gonna be the first one.
Danielle Fishel
Let's get to that one.
Ryder Strong
I mean, I was so discombobulated the beginning of this season that I was. Yeah, I do like the Feeny storyline, but I thought that was, like, one of the Eric, Rachel, Jack stuff that we were just, like, rolling our eyes off.
Will Friedle
But it's also. If this is. If memory serves. And I hope I picked the right one. I think the B story. This is Eric.
Ryder Strong
Is this the laundry room?
Will Friedle
Yes. And dressing up like the poet and doing all that kind of stuff. That is a better one. That's a funny B story. And the A story has been trying. And Keone does the great professor and with the gibberish.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah. Eager before he visits his guidance counselor to prepare his college schedule and enthusiastically picks the hardest classes. But he soon realizes it's too hard.
Will Friedle
Yeah.
Ryder Strong
Yeah, I guess that was a pretty good episode. It's funny. I just really wrote off the early season when I was looking at the list, but you're right, that was a pretty good one.
Will Friedle
I like that one. So that's my first pick. Is Ink College. Great.
Danielle Fishel
Okay. All right.
Will Friedle
Do I get two or do I get one? I get one. I forget how it works.
Ryder Strong
You get one, and then I get two.
Will Friedle
That's what it's in.
Ryder Strong
Then we reverse it. Wow. Okay.
Will Friedle
Is he gonna take two bad ones? Is he gonna take two good ones now? He doesn't know.
Danielle Fishel
He figured out my strategy so quickly.
Will Friedle
Well, when you start with the Nobody's angel episode, it's like, what do you expect? Okay.
Ryder Strong
I still might go for my alternative strategy. I'm gonna leave my. No, because I have to pick two.
Will Friedle
Right.
Ryder Strong
Okay. Okay. I'm gonna do episode 12, cutting the cord, which is the karaoke episode.
Will Friedle
Great episode.
Danielle Fishel
Oh, yeah.
Ryder Strong
I think that that was. You know, if we compare it to our picks from season four. No, but within the context of season six, it's a solid episode.
Danielle Fishel
You're right.
Ryder Strong
And I think it's you know that the tag is super funny with you guys doing war. It was not. Not like it was not the easiest week doing it, but I think the episode is solid and. And it also goes along with my alternative strategy. Should I go that way? And then I'm going to go right into number 13. We'll have a good time then. Which is like, at the time, I think I, you know, when we did our. Our recap, I talked about how dramatic it was and how that felt maybe like a misstep in some ways. But if I take it on its own terms, it's a really. It's a really solid episode. I love anytime that Blake is on the show and so out of the context, like, if I take this one out of context and not the rest of season six, it's a very pivotal Boy Meets World episode. Obviously it's pivotal for me and Sean. So I'm definitely. I think no matter what, if you're talking about like big episodes of Boy Meets World, this one's got to be on there as like a. A turning point. So just for that alone. And it's. It's solid within, you know, within that context, it's just a drama, you know, it's just kind of a soap opera. There's not a whole lot of laughs, but I'm gonna take that. So those are my two picks cutting the court and we'll have a good time then. Two in a row.
Will Friedle
There's two off my list. Jerk face Guy.
Ryder Strong
They were right.
Will Friedle
Yep. Yeah. Yeah.
Ryder Strong
That's why I wanted to get we'll.
Will Friedle
Have a good time then. What? It was actually going to be my second pick.
Danielle Fishel
Well, I mean, how many minutes has it been since you said you were definitely not going to be upset with anybody picking anything?
Will Friedle
I'm not upset.
Danielle Fishel
Oh.
Will Friedle
I'm just sitting here.
Ryder Strong
We see we are competing for. Because I don't think that there are that many great episodes, so I think we're all gonna have the same ones. I think I know what your next one's.
Will Friedle
I'm that girl at the party. He's like, I'm fine, Britney.
Ryder Strong
Oh, yeah.
Will Friedle
I'm totally fine.
Danielle Fishel
I'm not totally fine. I'm not mad.
Ryder Strong
I'm mad at all.
Will Friedle
I'm not mad at all. It is what it is, I expect.
Ryder Strong
Why is it got to be a girl at the party?
Will Friedle
Cuz it's always the girl at the party.
Ryder Strong
Oh.
Will Friedle
Guy just gets drunk and fights.
Danielle Fishel
I'm really having a hard time choosing between baby and the nicu.
Ryder Strong
It's Will's turn. Will goes next.
Will Friedle
Do I go? I don't know if I want baby in the nick, thank you, or no, I am between two.
Danielle Fishel
Wait, why? It is.
Will Friedle
Wait, no, Danielle goes next, right?
Danielle Fishel
No, it started with me, then it goes Will. Then it's writer.
Ryder Strong
Writer.
Danielle Fishel
And it goes. Yeah, you're right. Now, Will, you're right. Two times. Writer. Then Will, you're right. Writer's so smart. Can't question Ryder.
Will Friedle
I can.
Ryder Strong
Yeah, he does. All the time.
Will Friedle
Yeah. I'm between two. And the problem is the one I wrote down for what would be my next pick. I can't remember actually what the episode was.
Danielle Fishel
Is it be true? True?
Will Friedle
No, that's a possibility. Okay.
Ryder Strong
I knew that was getting hitched.
Danielle Fishel
Oh, okay.
Will Friedle
Can you read that? Getting hit.
Danielle Fishel
Sure.
Ryder Strong
Number. Oh, sort of. The one off with the hall. The. The wedding.
Will Friedle
Number 14.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah.
Will Friedle
Wow.
Danielle Fishel
This. I have a long one for this. Corey and Topanga play the fiance game to prove how compatible they are and are crushed when Eric and Rachel prove to know far more about each other than they do. Topanga suggests. Suggests a quick solution. They should live together on campus and really get to know each other. Corey mistakenly thinks this means sex. Meanwhile, Sean has ignored Jack's repeated call about clearing out Chet's trailer.
Will Friedle
Yes, it's the trailer. Yes, that's the one.
Ryder Strong
I want that trailer sequence. And I think. Yeah, I agree, man. This was the one I watched.
Danielle Fishel
Good episode.
Ryder Strong
And if you look, we're actually talking, like, it's the middle run of this season. That is the best. 12, 13, 14. Like, it's a nice run.
Will Friedle
Yeah, I'm taking that one.
Ryder Strong
Yeah, you're right. This is great. In this episode.
Will Friedle
Yeah. The both of you. The two of you together. And. And in the trailer. And this is where he's screwed my alternative strategy, so. God, now I gotta love alternative screwing.
Ryder Strong
You're gonna take resurrection, aren't you? You're taking the dead baby.
Danielle Fishel
I might.
Will Friedle
Baby's not dead at birth. He's the healthiest baby that's ever been born.
Danielle Fishel
I was calling it the dead baby episode. I don't know if I want to. To take. So is that what you took, Will?
Will Friedle
You took.
Danielle Fishel
Okay, That's a really good one. Okay, let me see. There's a couple baby episodes. There's my baby Valentine, which is the baby shower episode where Corey plans the brings the stripper for the baby shower.
Will Friedle
Okay.
Danielle Fishel
And then there is, of course, the one that's called Resurrection. While everyone restlessly awaits newly born Joshua Matthews, Corey's continued Vanity alienates Topanga, who considers herself a member of the Funny episode.
Will Friedle
Funny episode. Danielle. Just picking all the worst ones.
Danielle Fishel
And then the Truman Show.
Ryder Strong
The Truman show, too. Most weird.
Will Friedle
Yes, it's weird and bad, too.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah, that's. And in case I don't see it, in an effort to become more popular, Eric creates a TV show similar to the Truman show, featuring his roommates, but it's Rachel who becomes the campus darling. Meanwhile, Corey and Sean expect special treatment from Fiend. That's a fun B story.
Will Friedle
Actually, the B story is great with the. With the. In the restaurant with the waffles and all that kind of stuff.
Danielle Fishel
If I'm really gonna stick with my plan, though, I have to go with Resurrection. I have to go with an episode that even if it means something to people like myself who had a child in the nicu, and there are. In no way am I trying to say that that episode does not speak to a certain experience, and it can be a meaningful episode. But I bet most people, even if they've had that experience, skip that episode in a rewatch, would probably go, you know what? I don't know that I need to relive the. The NICU baby episode, even if it brought them comfort at some point. So, sticking with my plan, I'm going to go with season six, episode 17, resurrection. Okay.
Ryder Strong
Oh, now I brought up the cleavage episode, because that's.
Danielle Fishel
Oh, I forgot. I forgot that one existed.
Will Friedle
Well, she's going to pick it right now.
Danielle Fishel
Where's that? That's my. It's my next one.
Will Friedle
Y. The one with it where it's, you're.
Danielle Fishel
Married, you're dead, you're married, you're dead. Sold to me right now.
Ryder Strong
Wait, how many do we get total? Are we five?
Danielle Fishel
I don't know. How many do we five? Is that. We do. Okay, Danielle. All right. Season six, episode eight. Corey loses his engagement ring when he goes to a bikini club with scantily clad waitresses to prove that he still fits in with the rest of the guys despite being engaged.
Ryder Strong
Is that what you're taking? Cause you take two.
Danielle Fishel
That's what I'm taking. I'm taking two. I just took it. That one's off.
Ryder Strong
I shouldn't have mentioned it then.
Danielle Fishel
I forgot that one existed. Camp. Yeah.
Will Friedle
Yeah, you forgot it. That's how bad it was. You forgot it existed.
Ryder Strong
Cleavage. It's. Yeah.
Will Friedle
So does it go to me now?
Ryder Strong
Yeah, just take everybody away to Stuart so she doesn't get it. Just take it.
Will Friedle
Are you kidding? She's just announced she's going to be on Dancing with the Stars. You think it mattered what shows we were picking? She won already.
Ryder Strong
She won.
Danielle Fishel
I don't think I'm going to win because I'm on Dancing with the Stars.
Will Friedle
It's going to help.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah, no, I think doing the podcast is going to help me on Dancing with the Stars. Not that being on Dancing with the Stars helps me with the podcast.
Will Friedle
That works either way, as long as I'm your co host the entire time going. I've never seen that show. It's going to be fun. I'll be your Ed McMahon.
Danielle Fishel
Thank you.
Will Friedle
So is it my. It's back to me.
Danielle Fishel
It's your turn.
Will Friedle
Okay. So I'm at Ink College.
Ryder Strong
Great.
Will Friedle
And getting hitched. Okay. I think for number three. Okay. We liked Be True. We did, we did. But it was a tough week. But I think I'm gonna go with episode season six, episode 11, Santa's Little Helpers.
Ryder Strong
Okay. I had a feeling. It was a really good episode.
Danielle Fishel
Tori and Topanga figure out that Sean and Angela still love each other, but they contradictory opinions on what to do about it. And this is our introduction to Tommy.
Will Friedle
Tommy and Feeny reads. What was it is the night before Christmas or something. He reads. I forget. Oh no, it was Scrooge. Yeah. And so Happy Christmas episode. Giving orphans toys.
Danielle Fishel
A very good. A very good Eric Eric episode as well.
Will Friedle
I get a godalog. So yeah, I'm taking Santa's Little Helpers. Yeah.
Danielle Fishel
Okay.
Ryder Strong
Good choice, man. You did. You kind of screwed my.
Danielle Fishel
You were just gonna take the middle.
Will Friedle
Just trying to help orphans.
Ryder Strong
Yeah. Well, no, actually my alternative strategy was to just do Sean episodes and to just take poetic license. The poetry episode.
Will Friedle
But you didn't like the poetry episode.
Ryder Strong
No, but I was just gonna say my slate is just Shawn Scarchin for season six, which would have been like been four or five episodes. But you took Getting Hitched, which is one of the best Sean episodes because that's where he and Jack and you know, have their moments. So. And then even Santa's Little Helpers is the. The a story is about Sean and Angela. So you've unintentionally ruined that idea. So now I just gotta go. Now I've just gotta go with what I do think is are some of the best episodes or maybe the most memorable.
Danielle Fishel
And I took Nobody's angel, which was an episode where you died inside.
Ryder Strong
Yeah, I just. That's right.
Will Friedle
But as a person, not as a character.
Danielle Fishel
True, true.
Ryder Strong
I'm gonna go with episodes that are memorable. I'M not gonna. You know that, like, even if they weren't complete successes, they are, like, defining episodes of Boy Meets World.
Danielle Fishel
Okay.
Ryder Strong
And so I'm gonna go with Be True. True.
Will Friedle
Okay.
Danielle Fishel
Okay.
Ryder Strong
And better than the average Corey. Both episodes.
Will Friedle
Better than the average Corey. Which one is that?
Danielle Fishel
Let's first read the synopsis for Be True, which is season six, episode 19. Corey and Sean join for the last time as a bad boy team to help Mr. Feeny, whose uncertainty in declaring his feelings for Dean Bolender look like a mistake. So that is Be True. And then say the name of the other one.
Will Friedle
It's the one with Alexandra. Nikita. Right.
Ryder Strong
Yes. Better than the average Cory.
Danielle Fishel
After Cory is introduced to art prodigy Alexander Nikita, he develops an inferiority complex and blames his lack of skills on his average father. Meanwhile, Alexandra, lonely, touring without anyone her own age, befriends Morgan and moves in.
Will Friedle
With the Matthews family indefinitely.
Danielle Fishel
Exactly.
Ryder Strong
So I think that it's a weird episode. I think both of these are weird episodes, but that when the second somebody tells you what happens in that episode, you remember it completely. You remember Corey singing Wind Beneath My Wings. You remember you, the bee and the brain and the jar. So I'm just going for the episodes that from season six, if you mention them to somebody, they'd be like, oh, yeah. Oh, yeah, totally. That's an indelible episode of Boy Meets World. And so whether they're good or not. And then, of course, I have Shawn's dad dying completely on the other end of the spectrum. But again, you can't talk about Boy Meets World without talking about that episode. And then what was my fourth one?
Danielle Fishel
You have. We'll have a good time then. And cutting the cord.
Ryder Strong
Cutting the cord. Okay. That's the only one that's not, like, super. Yeah, I'm stuck with that one, though. All right.
Will Friedle
Unless you want to trade.
Danielle Fishel
So you have.
Ryder Strong
Because you take Cutting the court.
Will Friedle
I would take cutting the cord. What did you. What would you want in. In return for cutting the cord?
Ryder Strong
Well, yeah. So I'd have to take one of yours.
Will Friedle
You could take. You could take either Santa's Little Helper getting her first ever trade college, plus a third round draft pick in our next draft.
Ryder Strong
Because you. Yeah, you. Oh, no, wait, hold on. Cutting the Court is memorable because it's the karaoke episode.
Will Friedle
Yeah.
Ryder Strong
So I. It fits. It fits my. My, My, My strategy. Yeah. The second you.
Will Friedle
Yeah.
Ryder Strong
Okay.
Danielle Fishel
Okay. So we're not doing a trade?
Ryder Strong
No.
Danielle Fishel
Okay. Will.
Will Friedle
Yes.
Danielle Fishel
You're up.
Will Friedle
What's your next pick with my fourth pick in the season six trademark draft.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah. To recap, you have season six, episode three, ain't college great? You have season six, episode 11, Santa's little helpers, and you have season six, episode 14, getting hitched.
Will Friedle
I have like nothing left on my list. Okay. Again, because it's important and because we didn't hate it and the whole cast was together and we had. It was. It was. Again, it's very important in the. The span of boy Meets world. I'm gonna take season six, episode one, her. Her answer, part one.
Danielle Fishel
So that's his answer, part one.
Will Friedle
Is that what it is?
Danielle Fishel
Yeah. And then the next one is her answer, part two.
Will Friedle
Okay, good. Then yes, the first one.
Danielle Fishel
Okay. His answer, part one, season six, episode one. To recap, when Topanga proposes for him to marry her at graduation, Corey is absolutely stunned. However, when everyone else has conflicting views on the subject, Cory and Topanga quietly, quietly slip away to elope. Okay. All right, what's the beast? What's the B story in that?
Will Friedle
That's a great question, Danielle.
Ryder Strong
I don't know if there is one.
Will Friedle
I don't think there is one either. Isn't it because we're all.
Ryder Strong
No, it's Rachel moving in.
Danielle Fishel
Right.
Ryder Strong
It's introduction of Rachel.
Will Friedle
Right. Okay. But we're all in the. In the. Isn't this the one, we're all in the kitchen. No, that's the second one when we're all in the kitchen.
Ryder Strong
So do you want to change? Change it?
Will Friedle
No, that's. Because that's also the. No, I'm gonna stick with the first one. Yeah. The introduction of Rachel, guys in the apartment. You know, there was still hope for Rachel.
Ryder Strong
Does Sean get kicked out in this episode?
Will Friedle
Yes, when he's thrown out the door. Which is funny. So. Yeah, no, I'm gonna stick with that.
Ryder Strong
Really?
Will Friedle
Yeah.
Danielle Fishel
Okay, I have to recap season six, episode eight, you're married, you're dead, which is Club Cleavage. I have season six, episode 15, road trip, which is the Nobody's Angels epis. And I have season six, episode 17, resurrection. For my final two picks, I'm going to take Hogs and Kisses.
Ryder Strong
No, I wanted that. I think it's a memorable one.
Danielle Fishel
Didn't want it that bad. Yeah, I'm gonna take Hogs and Kisses and I'm also going to take Truman show, season six, episode ten. And in case I don't see ya.
Ryder Strong
Wow.
Will Friedle
She's going to run away with this one. She's going to run away with it.
Danielle Fishel
Cuz it's just those are my picks. Yeah.
Will Friedle
She's going to run away with it.
Ryder Strong
She's got dead baby.
Will Friedle
Tushy dance.
Ryder Strong
I mean, think about if you lined up her episodes and watched them in a row, you'd be like, what is this show? Like, what is this sitcom?
Will Friedle
I don't right now. Yeah.
Ryder Strong
I'm actually, I wonder where like the psychotic episode would have fit in this though, because it's also one of those like very strange. Like, like. Yeah, but it's, it's not like I, I don't think it, it fits my strategy to do the psychotic episode because it's not memorable. Like we all forgot.
Danielle Fishel
We forgot what it was about.
Ryder Strong
Weird. It's, it's like not you. All right.
Danielle Fishel
We should make the office ladies watch those. My pick.
Ryder Strong
That's it.
Will Friedle
We just hear take these five. It's actually a pretty funny thing.
Danielle Fishel
Tell us what you think about the show now.
Will Friedle
It's actually a pretty funny thing. We give them our, our like five least favorite episodes. They give us their five least favorite episodes. It actually be pretty, buddy. It's a good idea.
Danielle Fishel
What do you think of when you hear Amazon prime delivery trucks outside your home?
Ryder Strong
Your favorite streaming shows, of course, but.
Danielle Fishel

Will Friedle

Will Friedle

So it's. Well, again.
Will Friedle
Oh, God. Oh, I'm. Okay, I'm done. I'm just gonna stick with these four. No. Okay. I guess, you know, I'll just do it just because it's. It's the only thing. The only play I have left really is. I'll take episode two and just finish. Finished the. The two parts. Okay, answer. Which wasn't my favorite. In fact, I don't think I even liked it. But I want the. Want the combination of the two. The only other thing I could pick would be the psychotic episode, which, again, I. I don't think it'll work. I'll just take the pair and stick with. I'll have his answer and her answer so we can get the whole marriage thing off and running. Okay, that's it.
Ryder Strong
All right.
Will Friedle
That's all I got for you.
Danielle Fishel
I'll recap what we have at the end, but writer, you have one more pick.
Ryder Strong
Yeah, this. This is tough because. Yeah, it really would have been hugs and kisses, I think. Okay, maybe.
Danielle Fishel
Maybe you want the truth about honesty, where you guys go potentially do smash in the bedroom during a dinner party.
Will Friedle
Exactly. Smash on the hors d'.
Ryder Strong
Oeuvres.
Will Friedle
So everyone watches.
Ryder Strong
Yeah. I think all anybody remembers from that episode is Corey saying, I've seen the promised land. Like, Right, right.
Danielle Fishel
Maybe you want to go with Topanga's parents or getting a divorce.
Will Friedle
That's a funny episode. That's a funny episode.
Danielle Fishel
Maybe you like that one.
Will Friedle
What's friendly persuasion?
Danielle Fishel
Friendly persuasion is although Angela is upset, after she and Shawn call it quits, she shuns Corey's offer of support, claiming they were never friends. He liked that one.
Will Friedle
It's a good episode. That was a good episode.
Ryder Strong
It's just not fitting my strategy. That's just like. That's like a good. Like, I would actually put that in the top.
Danielle Fishel
Everybody Loves Stewart really Ended up being about Sean.
Will Friedle
Ye.
Ryder Strong
No, no. My strategy now is memorable.
Will Friedle
Like, just like Everybody Loves Stewart is pretty damn memorable.
Ryder Strong
It's pretty damn memorable. So I'm gonna pick that one. So mine are, like, the five most memorable. Like, yeah, if you were gonna do write the history of Boy Meets World, my five would be the ones you need for season six. That's what I'm saying.
Danielle Fishel
Okay, so to recap, writers, five picks. Start with season six, episode five, better than your average Corey. He's got season six, episode seven, everybody loves St Stewart. Then he has season six, episode 12, cutting the cord, season six, episode 13, we'll have a good time then, and season six, episode 19, be true. Now, to recap, Will. Will has season six, episode one, part one, which is his answer, part one, and season six, episode two, her answer, part two. He also has season six, episode three, he ain't college Great. The first three episodes of the show. Rounding out the back two, he's got season six, episode 11, Santa's little helpers, and season six, episode 14, getting hitched. To recap mine, I have season six, episode six, hogs and kisses, season six, episode eight, you're married, you're dead, season six, episode 10, and in case I don't see season six, episode 15, road trip, and finally, season six, episode 17, resurrection. Wow. Well, you know what I'll say about season six, A lot of very good memorable moments. Not as many great overall episodes, but lots of really, really good chunks. Beats, moments, scenes, memorable things. So, yeah, it was also a little.
Will Friedle
Jarring coming off of season five, which could arguably be the best season of Boy Meets World. Like, we loved season five, so coming season four was.
Ryder Strong
Season four is great, too.
Will Friedle
I mean, but, I mean, you could argue that those two were the best seasons we've ever done at the show. I mean, one would, but it just. It was. It was a strange season. I mean, again, there's something to be said for the fact that we come back, we do these drafts all the time, and none of us could really remember the episodes. That's gotta mean something.
Ryder Strong
Well, I feel like this. This season was kind of treading water a little bit in terms of, like, the through lines. Because you think about Cory, Topanga, they come back having been engaged, like, that was the cliffhanger, and then kind of just. Just stay engaged for the whole season. So, like, that storyline really just is treading water. And then I feel like we introduce Rachel, and then we just kind of, like, keep it. And I don't know, like, this season, I feel like we didn't go strong enough, I guess. We killed Shonce and we did have a baby. We tried, but, like, if you think about where this Season ends, It's like, almost identical to where it starts. Right.
Will Friedle
But that's. They had to.
Ryder Strong
Topanga going to get married.
Will Friedle
They had to do that.
Ryder Strong
That's where we started.
Will Friedle
I will guarantee you, if they married Corey and Topanga off in season six, we never would have done a season seven.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah. But what. Here's what I think. Here's what I'm thinking for me ending season five on that cliffhanger. Oh, my gosh. Topanga proposed. Is he gonna say yes? What's gonna happen then opening up the season on that. By the time we get to her answer, part two, the second episode of the season, that's where they make the decision. We are not gonna rush into getting married. We're just gonna stay engaged. If they could have maintained it that through the entirety of season six, maybe until the very end, when. Maybe when right before we find out Topanga's parents are getting divorced, they just then decide they're going to start planning their wedding. I think we're ready. Let's do it. We could have had a million other storylines for Cory and Topanga that didn't involve wedding planning.
Will Friedle
It's also your first year of college. I mean, there's all the college stuff you could have done. I mean, plenty of things that weren't just Cory and Topanga based, you know, and that's why some of the episodes that we like were Cory screwing up, you know, getting his classes, you know, regular kind of college stuff that wasn't Cory Topanga based the entire time.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah.
Will Friedle
I missed Feeny this season. I thought they brought him in a little bit, but not nearly as much as they should have. I missed the parents. It's just. It was a different dynamic the. The first three or four episodes. Even though I ended up picking most of those with Sean and Jack are with Jack and Eric and Rachel. Just after the third or fourth one, it was like, I don't want to see these people in this apartment yelling about how Jack touched her. And now Eric has to run. It was too much. So it was. Yeah, we were swinging for the fences in some of these episodes. But then you have some gems like club cleavage, which, you know, it's like that the season is, like, the best we've ever done, so.
Danielle Fishel
Well. We also normally give ourselves team names to help our dear listeners vote for us. So what would you call your season six draft picks if you were creating a team name?
Will Friedle
I would be. So not to confuse anybody, I would be Team Danielle. Just. Just put your vote in for Team Danielle.
Ryder Strong
Dancing with Danielle.
Will Friedle
Dancing with Danielle. Team Danielle. Danielle. Danielle. Topanga is what the name of my team is so no one gets confused. No, I don't know. No. What would yours be? What would yours be? Ryder?
Danielle Fishel
I think I'm gonna stick with Race to the Bottom.
Will Friedle
Race to the bottom's good.
Danielle Fishel
Or you know what I'm calling it? Whipped cream on dog.
Ryder Strong
I was gonna say sandwiches.
Will Friedle
Whip.
Ryder Strong
Whipped cream on.
Danielle Fishel
Okay. How did you paint a picture? How about.
Will Friedle
You know what?
Danielle Fishel
It's just whipped cream.
Ryder Strong
Okay.
Will Friedle
I like it.
Danielle Fishel
People will. If you know, you know, if you know, you know.
Will Friedle
No.
Ryder Strong
Whipped cream. Okay. Yeah. So I'm going to say. I want to say something like weird and not so wonderful. Like what's. Like just, just maybe just big swings or. No, because wonderful.
Will Friedle
The wonderful world of weird instead of.
Ryder Strong
The wonderful world of Disney or like, I don't know. I'm trying to think what. What can imply that, like, they're just memorable and a little different and like, I don't know.
Danielle Fishel
I don't think I'm weird. I think I'm unique.
Will Friedle
There you go.
Danielle Fishel
A Topanga quote. There you go.
Ryder Strong
There you go. Yeah. Okay. I'll say. Not weird. Unique.
Danielle Fishel
There you go. Not weird. Unique. Okay. I like it.
Will Friedle
Will, I think taking off of Ain't College great. I'm gonna call my list Ain't Season Mediocre. So that's going to be the name of my team.
Danielle Fishel
I like it. I did also think another one for mine could just be boop. From the Nobody's Angels episode. Right?
Will Friedle
Yeah.
Ryder Strong
Writers or the Dead Inside Soul leaves body.
Will Friedle
The Dead Inside Body is your team name.
Ryder Strong
It describes what happened to you personally during this. It's your boot moment.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah, it's.
Will Friedle
Poor nobody's angle.
Danielle Fishel
Wasn't their fault. Truly wasn't their fault.
Ryder Strong
No.
Will Friedle
They were great and super nice to be around, but just they, they. They weren't done right.

This is an I Heart podcast.
Hosts: Danielle Fishel, Will Friedle, Ryder Strong
Podcast: Pod Meets World (iHeartPodcasts)
This special episode marks the end of the hosts’ rewatch and recap of Boy Meets World Season 6. Danielle, Will, and Rider engage in their annual tradition: the "Season Draft," where each selects their top five episodes from the season in snake order. The episode combines fun banter, behind-the-scenes nostalgia, and self-deprecating commentary about the show's more questionable episodes. Fans are invited to vote on which host picked the best "team" of episodes.
A surprise centerpiece of the episode is Danielle’s big announcement: she’s joining the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars, and launching a new podcast to chronicle her adventure.
“I am so excited. I have always wanted to do it… I knew I wanted that type of challenge.” (05:00, Danielle)
“I get told, stop dancing. Please stop moving. You should sit down.” (05:45, Will/Rider)
“There’s not a single episode on my list that if one of you takes it, I’m gonna go, ‘Oh, come on. I wanted that one.’” (23:09, Will)
The selection reveals which episodes the cast feels stand out, for better or worse. Some notable moments:
“It’s a race to the bottom of the ocean.” (26:06, Danielle)
“I’m going to go with episodes that are memorable. Even if they weren’t complete successes, they are defining episodes of Boy Meets World.” (38:29, Ryder)
“I missed Feeny this season…It was a different dynamic.” (55:08, Will)

This highly self-aware, irreverent episode shows the trio at their best—affectionate, honest, and openly poking fun at themselves and their own legacy. The “Season 6 Draft” serves as both a playful critique and a nostalgic celebration, with Danielle’s Dancing with the Stars news adding a big shot of excitement for longtime fans.
