There are over 315,000 federal workers in Virginia. There are at least 75,000 federal workers and another 75,000 contractors in the Arlington, Virginia area alone. That workforce has been the backbone of Virginia’s economy for decades.The impact of the Trump Administration’s mass firings of federal workers will have a negative impact on Virginia’s economy. Trump's politically motivated and illegal attack on the federal workforce is historically unprecedented. The mass purge of the civil service without cause along with the the destruction of entire agencies is a clear violation of law. This podcast will focus on assistance for the men and women who have been the cornerstone of Virginia’s economy and have been dedicated federal servants.
