Hailing from the Rhine-Neckar region, Maxie got her first residency at the age of 18, and had gone on from strength to strength since then. Quickly recognised for his work for Sonar Kollektiv or Compost, we are proud to announce his debut for Poker Flat Recordings. The beautifully original and stand-out 'Fleurs Du Mal' is a classically themed masterpiece in the making. Warm, phasing synth energies build before introducing cosmic choirs and bell melodies that blurs the boundaries between mysterious cult soundtrack and club bomb! The deep searchin' 'Black Leather' shows yet more techno promise with a brooding, textural synth at the centre of a full-on exploration into dark, tactile and satisfyingly underground territories. A true slow-burner, and a post tech-house killer in its own right, this detailed and accomplished cut forms the ideal futuristic backdrop to take us into 2011! The quasi-house tones of 'Rosario' are included as a digital bonus, wherein metallic bells and old-school stabs come together in a deep exercise in complex harmonics, tense arrangements and future acid.

The title track, Awareness Raising, sets the tone with a reduced, flowing groove and carefully placed textures. Nothing feels overstated; elements appear and recede with a certain looseness, creating a sense of suspension. The track leans into repetition, but small shifts in tone and rhythm keep it alive, mirroring that initial moment where perception begins to sharpen. "In the quiet spaces between sound and silence, awareness begins to rise." say Pornbugs, "A subtle shift, almost imperceptible at first, where perception softens and something deeper starts to unfold. "Awareness Raising" is that moment of opening: a gentle awakening to the present, to the body, to the unseen currents moving beneath the surface. It is not a destination, but a remembering.From this space, something begins to take form." Emergence builds on this foundation with a slightly firmer structure. The rhythm becomes more grounded, and the arrangement opens up, allowing melodic fragments to settle into a clearer shape. There’s a natural progression at play here, not through big transitions but through gradual layering, as if the track is finding its form in real time. On the Deeplomatik Remix, the original is reworked with a more direct club focus. The groove is tighter, the low-end more pronounced, but the core atmosphere remains intact. It doesn’t push the track into a different direction so much as it reframes it, giving it more drive while keeping its understated character.

The EP Ride In My Car delivers lush house grooves paired with modern deep tech energy. The title track sets the tone with a hypnotic groove, crisp drums and a playful vocal that locks into a driving bassline. The track balances underground house textures with a catchy hook with subtle percussion layers and evolving synth stabs that keep the energy flowing while maintaining a stripped, dancefloor-centric arrangement. "Ride In My Car came about after delivery of my new car!" says Leroy Barry. "A rare summers day in London, roof down and a full tank and the lyrics just popped into my head. So I aimed it at a video game from years ago called Out Run and gave it the feel from the style of music in that game. If you know Out Run you know what I'm talking about. On “Make Me Wanna”, Leroy Barry leans further into rhythmic swing and groove. The track builds around punchy drum programming and a bouncing bassline, complemented by catchy vocal fragments that add a flirtatious, energetic edge. "The track was born in Ibiza at a retreat and was so different to anything I had done before." Leroy continues. "It basically puts into sound how the island makes me feel. Its kinda tribal and just happy vibes." Rounding out the release, renowned house heavyweight Darius Syrossian delivers a powerful remix of “Ride In My Car.” Injecting his trademark chunky basslines and driving percussion, Syrossian transforms the original into a darker, more underground club weapon. The remix amplifies the groove while preserving the vocal hook
