Something horrible happened to me at the airport yesterday.

So I was proceeding on my journey from San Juan, Puerto Rico to New York City, okay. And first of all, I missed my flight. And so I had to get.

No, I did not. I actually go through a lot and complain so little. It's really impressive.

I mean, if you were complaining to me as much as you probably wanted to complain, it would not be good

[Lauren]

for our working relationship would probably be over.

Cease. Like everyone. Yeah, we would have ended like 100 episodes ago.

Yes. So anyway, I was keeping my complaints to myself. Sitting at a little bar. Bar restaurant in the San Juan Airport, waiting for my next flight. Cause they rebooked me.

How. How close were you to.

[Lauren]

Basically, what happened was, is my original flight was delayed. Okay. And so I got to the airport with 50. I'm sorry, 55 minutes left. And I had a checked bag. And then this is what happened. They updated the timing that it was actually leaving 10 minutes earlier. And like, the. I guess the delay had been remedied a little bit. And that made me SOL to get my check back through.

[Chandler]

Got it.

[Lauren]

So I was a victim of JetBlue's, you know, rigid policies. And already, in my victimized state, sitting at this little bar.

[Chandler]

Yeah.

There's this.

Drinking your sorrows away, Nursing your wounds.

Exactly. Hitting the bottle. Okay, I just heard. Hear this electronic voice, okay. From three seats away. Because this girl, this woman, this girl. Young girl. She's a young girl. Very cute, very chic, kind of fun vibe. Anyway, she's just chatting away with the phone on speakerphone.

And I just find I love people chatting around me at a restaurant.

I don't want to hear voice through an electronic speaker. I don't know why. I don't know what the difference is, but I don't appreciate it.

I'm sorry. It's like, not. No good deed goes unpunished. But I guess that was just one of the worst mistakes I could have ever made because I reeled from the this lady remark for hours. I stayed in my seat because there's truly nowhere else to go. The San Juan Airport. I think it could use some Zhu Jing.

So anyway, yeah, I was this lady.

So everyone, I went to Vegas over the weekend and I absolutely indulge. Okay? There was drinking, there was feasting. You know, there were dirty Shirleys to be had. Have you ever had a dirty Shirley before?

I was just about to ask what that is.

It's like a dirty Shirley Temple. It's delicious. I will say what's in it? I think it's vodka and then just the other Shirley Temple ingredients.

I have actually a few thoughts about my Vegas experience, but that is. I'll get to that later. I felt pretty gross, like, coming back from Vegas.

I just suffer from, like, the starvation anxiety that you get on planes where you, like, think you eat enough before you get on the plane, and then you get two hours into your five hour flight and you're, like, fucking starving. Yeah. Bring on the Pringles. Bring on the salt and vinegar nuts. Like, there's not enough.

[Lauren]

What airline are you flying that serves Pringles?

[Chandler]

Well, it doesn't serve Pringles. It's literally, bring on a $6 container of Pringles. Anyway, some of my most disordered eating comes out on a plane.

Anyway, that aside, I was feeling pretty bleh when I got home. Feeling kind of bloated.

[Lauren]

Yeah.

So thank God for some divine. A little divine moment happened to me.

Because I got cold approached.

Oh, you did not.

[Chandler]

I did. This hasn't happened to me in Years. I think the last time this happened to me was like two years ago.

You got cold, approached. I got Lauren as a. An attractive, becoming, loved. Let me just say a man decided he wanted in his bed. And so he had to.

I have to. Just before I get into the words that he spoke to me, I have to just, you know, be very real with everybody and say that, you know, you never get approached by somebody you actually want to date, somebody you actually want to kiss or have any type of physical interaction with.

[Lauren]

Right. It's never Ryan Gosling.

It's never Ryan Gosling for me. It's. Yeah. The last person. I can't even remember. I just knew it wasn't a person for me. And this person yesterday was like a Hot Topic person.

Which is why it was very shocking to me.

So he had, like, earplugs.

I think there was a lot. There was male jewelry. There was also, like, the hair situation was strange.

And all of a sudden, out of the corner of my eye, someone is rapidly walking towards me to the point where I think, like, do I have something right? Am I about to get in trouble? And he says, who are you?

Yes.

[Lauren]

Okay.

And I, like, take out my AirPods. And I'm like. I'm like. He's like, who are you?

[Lauren]

You're like, I'm one of the pop apologists.

[Chandler]

You know, it's crazy. That didn't even cross my mind. I didn't even think he was a listener. I'm like, of course he's approaching me for my beauty. Even though I feel so bloated. That's my own, like, narcissism. But he says to me, you know, who are you? And I'm like, ugh. I'm like, I don't. I think then he just begins to. Begins with the overtures. And he says, you have this, like, very, like, French look about you. Like, very innocent, but arrogant.

Wait. Yes.

[Chandler]

This is what he says to me.

I'm kind of into this.

No. And I'm like, I'm in the Trader Joe's frozen section.

Well, he says a couple more things. I kind of am blacky on this moment because I'm like, I can't believe this is happening to me. This really, truly never happens.

And I'm also realizing that he's like, a strange looking person. Like, anyway, so this is all happening sort of in slow motion. And then, you know, at one point. Oh, he says. He says, what are you making for dinner tonight? He, like, gestures towards my card and

I mean, the wedding ring, I'm sure.

[Chandler]

No, it's not on. Oh, it's not on. And this is where I have this probably, like, 5 second too long internal debate about whether or not I'm gonna say I'm making dinner for my husband. And I. Not because I want to date this person, but just, like, do I let the fantasy conclude? Like, do I let this person complimenting me and, like, just having a, you know, a nice moment? Do I let it end now?

[Lauren]

Yeah, you can draw it out a few more sentences.

I kind of was like, do I just let this go on for another 10 seconds?

[Lauren]

10 minutes? I don't know.

It's just like, I got. Literally, he was dropping his groceries.

Wow. And then I said. I said, ugh, I don't. Just making some dinner for my husband and I. And he goes, ugh. He goes, you're married? And I'm like, yes, I'm married. He goes, you look 20.

I go, I'm 30. And he's like, ugh. You could have fooled me. It's kind of annoying because it's like, I really feel like there's not some huge looks difference between whatever. And then I'm like, I'm very flattered. You know, I'm not wearing the ring, but I'm very flattered.

I'm like, I am not ready for this conversation to be over.

My husband hasn't spoken words like these to me in many years ever.

Like, innocent but arrogant. I don't. I was very into, like. Oh. He also asked where I was from, and I said, California. And he was like, I'm not far off. Anyway, everybody. It was like, I was electrified. And I texted Ben, and we were. Ben and I were planning on meeting up, and I said, I just got, like, fully hit on. Yeah, Ben was a trader Joe within 10 minutes. No, I sent the text to him at 3:52. By 4:02, he was walking in the

door, laying his claim.

threatened, but had the man departed or did they have.

Yeah, he had departed. I actually was kind of like, I was electrified in a good way. But then I was also like, I really don't want to run into this person again after we've had our. Honestly, I'm way more sold on this concert experience with just a few of those tunes and this chatter than I was five minutes ago. So really quick, were the song performances good? No.

Okay, so her voice is gone. So the voice was strange. The voice did not sound good. And I think, I don't know if it was a mixture of like, there's no backing track.

I mean, just some people, as they age, their singing voice goes away.

[Chandler]

I mean. Yeah, once again, I'm not a pop star. I cannot, you know, to perform like that. And then I also think that, like, the acoustics were kind of strange. Like you almost had like a hard time hearing her voice over the other instruments.

And that was probably by design, potentially. Okay.

And then we get into the things that she says in between the song. So like, she starts off by saying she's like, you guys, we're gonna do something different. Usually you, I have to hype you up, but tonight you're gonna hype me up.

Just like. And like, it's kind of one of those things where you like, don't want to side eye your friends yet because you're like, we're here, we're at this concert. We flew out for this.

But then by like the third or fourth comment, Candace, my best friend, you know, and I are just kind of like, what is happening?

Yes. She then she then says about one. I think it Was maybe it was about this don't speak or another song. She goes, this album really triggers me. And then she doesn't, like, like, you know, sometimes artists will say something and then they'll be like, you know, that's why I don't speak about it. And then, like, the song. Right.

That was not what was happening. She would just kind of, like, offer this, like, strange commentary. And then the weirdest part for me.

Was she goes, that's her crowd interaction where she says, I need a hug.

The camera pans to the crowd and people are holding up signs. And she's, like. Tries to read the sign. She doesn't really read it. Right. And she's like, you come up here and give me a hug. And then, like, this fan comes up there and then she, like, gives them a hug.

And it was just strange.

I saw some things about it, and frankly, there's like a BETHANY Scandal every 3.5 days and we didn't have to record for a minute. And so I. I'm just gonna go ahead and scroll past this one. Okay, but now I'm familiar with it. But you were. You were drawn in.

Yeah, I've been pretty drawn in by it. So basically, please share why. Okay, so a girl who owns a shoe brand DM'd Bethany quite a few times, and I guess she's the daughter of Dina Manzo. Dina Manzo. Okay, so she. She messaged Bethany quite a few times saying, I want to send you a pair of my shoes. And Bethany wrote her back and said congrats and sent an email basically to like, reach out to send promo.

[Chandler]

Ye.

[Lauren]

She messaged her a few times after it looked like saying, did the shoes fit? Hoping that you loved them, et cetera. Bethany ends up wearing them in a reel and people ask where the shoes are from, and she links a dupe. Okay.

[Chandler]

Yes.

[Lauren]

And this girl, let's see, her name is Lexi Lenoux and her brand is called N O U New New Shoes, which is so cute. Anyway, she creates this reel and she says, like, Bethenny Frankel is weird. She's a weird person.

[Chandler]

She says, Bethenny Frankel is a weirdo. Is a weirdo is her opener.

[Lauren]

She goes in on Bethany and basically says, I sent her these shoes. And she never really. She never replied. Finally, she wears them, and instead of tagging me, not only does she not shout out where the shoes are actually from, but she links to essentially a dupe.

[Chandler]

Yes. And says, like this look for less. Yes.

[Lauren]

So people are up in arms. This gets so much traction. Bethany then basically claps back.

[Chandler]

Of course she does. Yeah.

[Lauren]

She takes to her TikTok and says, you know, this is a lesson in business.

[Chandler]

That's always a lesson in business. Always Handbag University or whatever.

[Lauren]

We're always a student at one of Bethenny Frankel's short form digital university courses. Okay. So anyway, she basically says, like, you know, you gotta wait a second. I would have shouted out, this brand. I moved so much product. These shoes were out of stock. And when we link things that are not available, people get upset. We link to something that was available. I had a whole other reel shouting out the brand and like. And she did post it. I guess I can't get out get content out fast enough. And she basically says like, what a shortsighted move of this business owner to kind of put me on blast versus, you know, just either taking the L or waiting to see if I actually do shout them out. Because I do move a lot of product. Yeah, she was very arrogant. She was like, I move hundreds of thousands of dollars of product, I move whatever. So I've been kind of fascinated by this because people's reactions are so strong.

[Chandler]

Chiefly on both sides.

[Lauren]

Oh, you think on both sides? Because I think it's chiefly anti Bethany.

[Chandler]

Oh, see, I think the. I think it's on both sides.

[Lauren]

Okay.

[Chandler]

The videos that I saw, the comments were like, Bethany did nothing wrong.

[Lauren]

Okay, that is good to know because I've been actually very afraid to give my real opinion. But I'm going to be hashtag brave and say finally that I think that I completely understand people feeling like it is such a bad move of her to not tag the brand and to like basically send the link of a dupe to people. But I also will say if you link something that's not available, people do get annoyed.

[Chandler]

People do get annoyed.

[Lauren]

That is, that is a hundred percent. It's basically pointless to link something that's not available. And if she had already created a video where she shouted out the brand,

[Chandler]

but it hadn't posted, hadn't been posted

[Lauren]

yet, but she said it was in the queue to get posted. I do think Bethany has a huge team of people that pump out these videos. I do not think she got in her outfit again, reshot it, you know, just to say I had it ready. I just personally feel like if you're a brand and you send product to an influencer, you just. Influencers really don't owe you anything. And if they end up shouting you out, that's amazing. But Bethany has millions and millions of followers for her. Shouting out a brand or doing some sort of sponsored post probably costs tens of thousands of dollars for a brand to actually get that deliverable. And so I guess I just feel like it actually is a bad move as a business owner to make a rash decision and get on TikTok and throw Bethany completely under the bus. It's super unprofessional.

[Chandler]

I've definite is unprofessional.

[Lauren]

And she had this. She had the content already made where she shouted out the brand.

[Chandler]

So here's my take. Yeah, I do think it's proper etiquette in these scenarios. If somebody asks you about a product that the first thing you should say about it is, it's by this brand. Sadly, they're all sold out.

Yeah.

[Chandler]

Here's. Here's a Look for Less. Right. I just think that is the actual proper way to handle something like this. And I think that in Bethany's. You know, Bethany's instinct was to just, like, sell something else instead.

[Lauren]

Yeah. And, well, I do think that I highly doubt Bethany is actually posting any links herself. I'm sure she has a team that's doing it. And she should have said, this was our bad that we did not shadow the brand immediately before giving you guys an option of what is available.

[Chandler]

It's like, I think to have an image of the shoe that was sent to her that it's not like she bought it, you know, brand new from somewhere, and she was just opted to sell the cheaper version. Right, right. It was sent to her by the brand.

[Lauren]

Yeah.

[Chandler]

Just think the first step is to shout out the brand absolute so that I think that's like, the proper etiquette, and she didn't follow proper etiquette. That being said, for the brand to instantly, like, blah. Put her on blast, I think it's a very bad look. And I also kind of am skeptical. Like, I didn't know about the shoe brand until now. I mean, and now I'm like, now

they're on the map, 100% on the map, and it's actually worked out really well in their favor. So if anything, it was kind of a smart move to put her on blast.

[Chandler]

We're gonna get the Dave Portnoy, like, tea by the sea, where he's like, here's the tea. Like, Lexi actually decided to do this on purpose, and it wasn't in cahoots. This actually is a brand deal.

[Lauren]

Like, Bethany was probably paid, you know, $40,000 to have this fake drama. So everyone knows now about new shoes.

[Chandler]

And we're talking about it, and we're talking about it.

Who knows? We could be in on it. I know Dave Portnoy is like the pop apologist. You might have heard them discussing a story they're so interested in. Well, I was at the super bowl with Chicken Fry anyway. If only we were in Chicken Fry's mouth with Dave at the Super Bowl.

But anyway, we trolled her for saying that her house is like a florist shop whenever she's single. We kind of made fun of that. And I do stand behind that being a completely odious remark that no one should make, even if it's accurate. But literally, I don't know a single bitch out there whose house looks like a florist shop when she's single because

nobody knows how to play the game better than her.

It wasn't an insane thing to say. And I stand behind trolling Bethany. But, yeah, I think in this. In this situation, it is more nuanced. And ultimately my side is sadly, actually with Bethany. So please, if you completely disagree with me, let's just agree to disagree in peace. Let's hashtag coexist. But I just had to say my piece.

Like who cares that you guys have been friends? Like if you're into it, you should go for this guy.

They were photographed outside, like, a resort in Arizona, basically, like on a roof deck of a suite in Arizona together. They were kind of canoodling, like they have, like, a hand in hand. They weren't, like, kissing, but they were hugging. And then they were photographed like a spy photographed them at a Jacuzzi together. So this broke. Okay. And again, it's like, all right, an NFL. You know, these two people are both married, this big NFL coach and a reporter. They are hooking up or whatever. They're cheating. Okay. Big deal.

[Chandler]

He's the coach of the Patriots. Yeah. Huge team.

[Lauren]

Big deal. I'm sure to people that care about the Patriots and are maybe, like, really care about sports journalism. Less our.

[Chandler]

Yeah, not our. Not our swim lane, necessarily. Yeah.

Okay, then. Anyway, long story short, photos have also emerged of them in a bar from 2020, canoodling six months before she tied the knot with her husband. Okay. And this is where it gets insane. So I guess not only has this affair been going on for six years, but she gave birth to a child nine months after those bar photos.

And.

And I mean, I actually don't want to even get to the biggest reveal yet.

There are photos of her pregnant where her and him are, like, getting a boat together. She's pregnant, and they're on, like, the dock. And then there's also, like, paperwork from, like, the dock where they both sign the waiver or whatever. So there are literally, like, you know, very sneaky shots of them at all these different phases of life over the last six years. She gives birth to this child in 2021.

And she names the child Michael. Michael. And he goes by Mike. And she also tweets a photo of the child. And the tweet basically says, like, looking at this child. Looking at this child, Looking at my baby. And thinking of all of the mics who have been NFL star, NFL players and coaches.

Very strange. Very strange. Very, very strange. And then people, you know, on the Internet start scrubbing back through all of their clips together where she's interviewing him.

And there's a lot of flirtatious, weird ones.

There's a lot of flirty ones. And then there's a ton where she is, like, disparaging her husband.

Yeah.

And a pretty neat, awkward way. Like, nasty way.

Yeah. Saying things like they're not connected anymore or whatever. Whatever.

Yeah. And, like, she married him fairly recently. It's not like they've been together for 20 years, you know, and this is, like, a bit.

No. So they were clearly tipped off that they would be there, and the prevailing theory is that she wanted this to come out, and so she basically kind of wanted this to all leak.

So I think we're gonna see, like, this scandal play out, like the scandal breaking play out in the city, which I. Which cannot wait for. I mean, I will be watching now.

I mean, this is kind of the best thing that could been.

And she basically makes it so that they are not sitting next to each other because she didn't remember that she did not want it to be a situation where it's like Raquel sitting down, like, this is my man now. And, like, looking across at her.

Yeah. And it's.

And I thought that that was just like, so taking her power and not giving Raquel that moment. And I do not like that. We see Amanda sitting with west right there next to Andy and just across from Sierra. Like, that is.

I'm sorry. It's giving her ex husband. It's.

Yes. It's giving Jennifer Aniston at the Oscars and Angela and Jolie and Brad Pitt in the front row.

[Chandler]

I mean, I will say Amanda has been on this cast for a very long time. So it's not like. I feel like she can't just be, like, booted. I mean, she's not.

She could say. She could say, hey, I'm not dealing. I'm not doing the seating arrangement. There's gonna be someone in between them.

But I think, actually, I think Bravo wants them to be next to each other.

Well, of course they do. But I think one of the great things about Ariana is that Ariana didn't give Bravo what they wanted. She said, I'm not gonna do that thing where I let him talk to me.
