I felt so, I felt so bad for Florence when she got there and they're like, okay, and here's, here's what your choreography is going to be because I would have, I would have had the same reaction. Like, I'm sorry, what?
Chandler
I would like to just, I want to be. The only choreography I'm interested in doing is laying on the roof.
Lauren
No, exactly. I could remember that one.
Chandler
I could absolutely see. Sit on some stairs or lay on the roof.
Lauren
Well, well, well. We are here for a very special episode of Pop Apologist Chandler. End of an era docu series is here and what else should I wear for it than this stunning, you know, lavender sweater?
Chandler
What else would you be wearing? I mean, do you need to tell the listeners about the origin story?
Lauren
Have you already told them this is you guys? I have not told you. I've been holding back. So Chandler and Courtney were so generous as to gift me the snow on the beach official taylor swift.com merch sweater, which really, I think it looks like, like something I would have made with mom and at Michael's.
Chandler
Well, let me just tell you, everybody.
Lauren
When.
Chandler
When Courtney texted me and said, we have to get this for Lauren, I thought this was a fan rendition of, like, of merch.
Lauren
I thought this was homemade Etsy.
Chandler
An Etsy merch. An Etsy. Some sweet Etsy seller. I don't know. Yeah. Somewhere obscure was like, I'm going to make, you know, snowballs. Snow on the beach sweatshirts. When I realized that this was official, sanctioned, Taylor Swift merch just about died because it's a. It's a pretty color. It looks quite comfy, too. It's just really. The cotton balls?
Lauren
Yeah, the co. I think the cotton balls are the worst part.
Chandler
Would you ever remove them?
Lauren
Well, I'm actually not really gonna wear the sweater. It was just a joke.
Chandler
Well, if you're not gonna wear it.
Lauren
I'll wear it on this episode.
Chandler
Sure, I'll put it on. I mean, I actually don't want to. You can.
Lauren
You can hang on to it, please.
Chandler
I'm wearing a chic leather jacket.
Lauren
I thought I was actually really call. Like, I actually thought when I came in here, you were gonna laugh so hard. Me wearing this sweater.
Chandler
No, I'm like, oh, she's wearing the generous gift we gave her.
Lauren
Oh, my gosh. Yeah.
Chandler
Actually, I don't think I've paid Courtney yet for it. But it is. Isn't it comfy? It does look comfy.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
The material looks whatever.
Lauren
Poly blend.
Chandler
Okay. So she takes off the snow on the beach sweater and the tits come.
Lauren
Out and a club beneath emerges.
Chandler
Lauren just, like, pulled off the sweater and suddenly it's Whitney Rose up top.
Lauren
I thought that was gonna be a hilarious intro because that sweater is such. Is honestly such a joke. But, you know, you know, you realize.
Chandler
You'Re talking about a gift that was given to you, but, yeah, it is a joke. I mean, the cotton balls, it was.
Lauren
Like a gag gift.
Chandler
Yeah, it was a gag gift. So Lauren has now changed her clothing.
Lauren
Yes, I'm back.
Chandler
She's in a much more sophisticated blouse, top, blazer, jacket.
Lauren
Thank you, Chandler. I hope my commentary can provide the same level of sophistication today on this program. It's a very esteemed day because we are. We are discussing the end of an era docu series.
Chandler
Wait, you're missing why today is such an esteemed day as well. Why it's Taylor Swift's birthday today.
Lauren
Oh, it is turning 36.
Chandler
36.
Lauren
It's amazing.
Chandler
On this day.
Lauren
I mean, on this day, we used.
Chandler
To think about Jesus's birth in December. Now we think about Taylor's Jenna you're.
Lauren
Gonna get in hot water.
Chandler
It's not, it's not about putting down Christianity. It's just saying I'm, I'm telling people that Lauren and I, unfortunately or fortunately, depending on how you look at it, we maybe are more focused on December 13th than December 25th.
Lauren
Potentially and definitely for this, for the sake of this episode.
Chandler
Absolutely.
Lauren
No. Okay. I have so much to say about the first two episodes. Really, there's a lot to get into. But first, before we do, how are you doing? How's life?
Chandler
I am a little hungover.
Lauren
Okay.
Chandler
But mostly good. I mean, are you hungover at all?
Lauren
No, I'm not. I had one glass of champagne, so now I'm not hungover.
Chandler
Sometimes that will happen.
Lauren
No, but I'm doing great.
Chandler
I'm excited to be recording.
Lauren
Good.
Chandler
I am looking forward to our break. Yeah, I've got things to say about Taylor. Tonight I'm hosting a little get together where we're gonna watch it, you know, with a bigger group.
Lauren
It'll be so fun. This is our last recording really of the year. We pre taped all the new episodes that are coming out for the rest of the year. Everyone there is going to be a rerun next week and then Christmas week. Christmas week we are doing a rerun. And then the week after New Year's week we already taped that. It's actually a really fun episode with our dad. So really excited for you guys to listen to that. But you know, we wanted to have a little break towards, towards the end of the year.
Chandler
Yeah, we're so we're only really taking one episode off everything else we've pre taped.
Lauren
Yeah, exactly.
Chandler
We also have a deep dive for you.
Lauren
Very exciting deep dive on the one and only Dying Keaton. So we have, we have some good episodes to finish off 2026. But Chandler and I are going to be off essentially after this recording which I am excited about. What are you going to do with.
Chandler
Your spare time, with your free time?
Lauren
Well, I'm going to hopefully spend it not being ridiculed by ChatGPT. That's actually what I was trying to tee up was for you to like me. What's going on with you?
Chandler
Yeah, well, it's never going to happen. That only rarely happens. So why are you Getting ridiculed by ChatGPT?
Lauren
So this morning I asked did you.
Chandler
Guys were in a tiff?
Lauren
No, we have not been in a fight recently. But this morning, have you seen that trend where it's like I asked Chachi BT what's the craziest question I've asked you this year.
Chandler
No, I have not seen that trend you're on. Your algorithm is like people who are in relationship.
Lauren
It's real. No chat, it's just real slob. Yeah. Yeah.
Chandler
Okay, so what'd you ask?
Lauren
So like some people's craziest things they asked is like make John Travolta but like he's made out of Chex Mix.
Chandler
Or something like that.
Lauren
So mine was apparently not a question, but a follow up question. So I did ask ChatGPT how old I looked recently.
Chandler
I uploaded a photo just, just, just killing time.
Lauren
I think I was just, you know, feeling myself and I just was ready.
Chandler
Oh, this was like from a coming from place of positivity.
Lauren
Yeah, I was like ready to.
Chandler
They're like, you look 11.
Lauren
So chat immediately responds 32 to 36. Okay. And I wrote back, why not 20s question mark. And chat has told me that that was my peak delusional queen moment.
Chandler
Yeah, a hundred percent. Will you mind if I do the same exercise?
Lauren
Do it.
Chandler
But I don't ask chat vain questions. I'm gonna say what's, what's the craziest thing I've asked you all year?
Lauren
I've uploaded like I've uploaded so much to Chat.
Chandler
What's the craziest question I've asked all year? All year. Okay, here we go.
Lauren
It might be like super.
Chandler
Here we go.
Lauren
This is so good. What does it say?
Chandler
Okay, basically I wanted to do, create some type of Taylor Swift, like Photoshop.
Lauren
Oh, this is Taylor.
Chandler
I wanted to put Taylor Swift into our group chat photo.
Lauren
Okay.
Chandler
But Chat GPT is not allowed to do that.
Lauren
Okay.
Chandler
So I tried to get a. Because like I, I first asked, can you put Taylor Swift into this photo? And then it was like, we're not allowed to do that. Okay. So then I was like, can you make a fix? Basically this question where I said, can you add Taylor Swift to this photo? Naturally integrated, but make her look fictional.
Lauren
Because I said we can do fictional versions.
Chandler
They wouldn't do it. Still though, I was like someone in the likeness of Taylor Swift who's completely fictional. And then they chat literally says a master class in threading the needle between copyright law, pop culture and pure chaos.
Lauren
Well, ChatGPT is validating of you and actually like roasting me. Yeah, because to say delusional queen, like what?
Chandler
I know, why not 20? Do you want to look 20?
Lauren
No. Why not in my 20s?
Chandler
Do you really want to look like you're in your 20s?
Lauren
I mean, I just would like ChatGPT to say, like, easily 20.
Chandler
I mean, it's funny because no one ever thinks that I look super young. Everyone. Everyone always asks you and me, who's who? Who's the older one? It's not a given. You just.
Lauren
You just don't like getting the accurate response.
Chandler
You know, that question doesn't necessarily bother me, but I think there is a part of me that would like it to be a given.
Lauren
No, exactly, Exactly. Like we were at a sister gathering and someone asked if. If me or Courtney was older and I was like, hello.
Chandler
No, literally, hello. Like this be. So I think too, because, like, the age difference. Is it. The age difference isn't two years. Right. You know, me and Courtney's three and.
Lauren
A half, but with the two of us, it's five.
Chandler
Yeah.
Lauren
So.
Chandler
But nobody ever thinks that. Like, no one ever thinks that. Well, but it's fine. All of that aside. Chat. GPT Delusions. Age delusions aside, let's talk about the documentary that dropped yesterday. We got two episodes. Two 40 minute episodes.
Lauren
Yes.
Chandler
I mean, to get just a full length BTS type montage was a gift. It was Christmas morning. So fun.
Lauren
So fun to watch. But this is what I will say, and I think it's kind of funny. And tell me. Tell me if you agree with this. So I flew up to record this and I feel like these are probably the worst episodes to fly up to record about.
Chandler
First of all, rude. Why?
Lauren
Because I feel like these episodes were, like, primarily about the dancers and.
Chandler
Oh, you mean these. Yeah, these episodes are. I thought you meant like the. These episodes of Pop Apologists are the worst. You don't even know how it's gonna go. Yes, I agree.
Lauren
I was actually so afraid that you were gonna disagree and I was gonna have to, like, defend myself as a swiftie. So this just comes as a huge relief.
Chandler
Yeah. Those days still may come. Today is not that day. In fact, while I was watching.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
I found myself scrolling on my phone.
Lauren
Okay, okay.
Chandler
And I. And I had this moment of I'm so. Shame. Judgment. Guilt. I. It sent me into a little bit of a spiral. Like, what are you doing? This is on a second screen show. You asked for this.
Lauren
I'll tell you why. I think these first two episodes didn't quite slap as much. Yeah. One, we don't really care about the dancers. Like, I don't really need to know about these dancers biographies. Like, this is a. This is a docu series about Taylor Swift. In my head, that's what I was going in for. And then What I realized is it is actually exactly what they advertised, which is a documentary about the ERAS tour.
Chandler
Yes. So unfortunately we're getting like, everyone who was on tour, like, their, their story as well. And the dancers seem lovely. I think that, like, I just would have been a little bit more enraptured by, like, her telling us what she orders for room service.
Lauren
No, I. Okay, Chandler, thank you. I wanted 45 minutes of her in the bathtub. Little situation. That 60 seconds we got of her after the show. I could have taken 45 minutes of that in lieu of much of what we received.
Chandler
Also, I would have loved like a 0.5 speed, slow pan around her hotel room so I could just kind of take in with my eye everything. In fact, there's a moment where her cat, like, they flashed her hotel room and it looked like there was kind of a boho rug there that didn't look totally look like a hotel rug, I guess. And I was wondering, like, did they bring that? Did they, do they kind of furnish the hotel room to her specific liking? Which would make sense.
Lauren
Totally.
Chandler
That bathtub was amazing, though, that this is the bathtub that we all saw in the trailer that's like big and marble and where we did see her skincare. But yes, I agree, it was a lot about kind of who made the tour happen. Yeah. Which is beautiful. Beautiful. Important. Not necessarily what I care about. Yeah.
Lauren
It could have been a YouTube video. Honestly.
Chandler
Could have been like a, an extra.
Lauren
Yeah, exactly, an extra.
Chandler
Like cut.
Lauren
A DVD extra.
Chandler
I mean, we did get some stuff and I, I, I still enjoyed watching it, but I wasn't.
Lauren
We weren't wrapped.
Chandler
I wasn't gulping it down in the way that I thought I was going to.
Lauren
I thought I was gonna be gulping it down Miss America, Miss Americana style. Yeah. And I think a lot of what the docu series these first two episodes reminded me of was like, very similar to what I had already seen on tv.
Chandler
Right.
Lauren
Or just like news clippings of like, ERAS Tour makes headlines. Yes. Earthquake ticket sales. Yeah.
Chandler
You know, Swiftonomics, whatever. What was the, the term?
Lauren
Swift City.
Chandler
Swift City. Yeah. And like the, the way that like, you know, the Taylor Swift ERAS tour is generating the same GDP as, you know, whatever. And so, yeah, there was a lot of that, like, super cut news clips just, just talking about the scale of the tour that we've already seen. And I, I think where, where you and I have to check ourselves is that you and I were just already like, sick fans of it. We already knew all of that. We were already. We've already seen all.
Lauren
We're already. Yeah.
Chandler
We're already completely obsessive. I do think we got some new moments from her.
Lauren
No, we totally did.
Chandler
We did. So let's get into it.
Lauren
I want to look a gift horse in the mouth. Please don't. Because truly, we have four more episodes and I think we have really gotten very little Travis. We're going to get the Travis episode or episodes. We're going to get more, I think, of her personal life and just more about her. I just think these first two episodes, it was a lot of, like, setup.
Chandler
Yeah. And once again, I'll take anything. I'll take anything. And I do feel ashamed that I even felt slightly bored for a second. But I really think it was never when she was on screen. When she was on screen, I was paying attention. There was just. Yeah. So I. I do want to talk about maybe the most emotional we've ever seen her.
Lauren
No. And I, I think that it was so moving to see her really so moved by these tragedies that have happened. Yes.
Chandler
I think that was like. That was a part where I really felt like we got to see Taylor.
Lauren
Swift kind of bear and like, you know, and. Not that we ever doubted, but you. Most people cannot make themselves cry. She clearly was very moved.
Chandler
Yeah.
Lauren
By the tragedies that occurred.
Chandler
Let me, let me set this up a little bit for people, if you haven't watched.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
So she's being interviewed at the. The morning of the London show and she's talking about how she's going to meet the families, you know, of the victims from the Southport attack, which, if everyone will remember, is that was that horrible tragedy where there was a knife attack at a Taylor Swift dance party that was for like 6 to 11 year olds. Like, it just is one of the most horrific things to think, you know, someone could do and could happen. And so Taylor is being interviewed about it and she says, I'm gonna go talk to those families. And she starts explaining what happened, you know, the tragedy. And she almost dry heaves like she, she's. She is overcome with so much emotion and like the, the tears begin and she's. She honestly can't even get the words out.
Lauren
It's really just so much for her to carry all of this. Like, really, in theory, these things actually had nothing to do with her. She was not involved at all. But it just so happened that they occurred. That this tragedy occurred at a Taylor Swift little kids dance party. So all of a sudden she kind of is Pulled into it.
Chandler
Right. Well.
Lauren
And like is at the center of this terrorist attack. Yeah.
Chandler
And I think having to grapple with like these people were having, were wanted to experience the joy that my mus. That my music can hopefully bring to them. And then this was like when they were targeted was like when they were trying to participate in my art.
Lauren
No, it's, it's so horrifying to consider. And I think that, you know, it just would be very easy to say like, okay, we're gonna make a point to go to London and meet with the families at some point. But I can't meet with the families before the show.
Chandler
Yeah, like this is a big show. I, I just feel like that should be a separate occasion or to meet.
Lauren
With all of them at once. But it's like, no. Before every single London show she meets with each individual family. I think that what we see is a pattern of just going above and beyond in just like the good person department. That is really so impressive. And you know, I see this comment everywhere, but it's like we really did make the right person famous.
Chandler
I was literally just gonna say that gives me the chills. Because I think that is the most fitting Internet comment of all time for Taylor Swift. Yeah, like, I really believe that to my core that she, we really did make the right person famous. And she sets an amazing example for other famous people.
Lauren
Okay, Chandler. I was filming a little vlog the other day, trying to get into vlogging. And it was just funny because. Do you want to know what was sitting right beside my bathtub when I was sharing my kind of get ready with me moment?
Chandler
Oh, this is an easy one. This is a softball for me. You had a empty, probably one or two empty cans of Clean Simple Eats clear protein.
Lauren
It was yesterday's clear protein. Okay. Sitting next to the bathtub that I did enjoy in the bath.
Chandler
Everyone.
Lauren
I love Clean Simple Eats clear protein.
Chandler
I'll tell you why.
Lauren
It's an easy way to get 20 grams of clean grass fed whey protein for a simple 90 calories. You grab it from your fridge. You're not messing up a blender. I love this stuff. I have cases delivered each month. I truly, I drink it for the taste, but the protein is a benefit. So it's so delicious. Clean. Some elites, they also have amazing protein powders. If you are ready to mess up.
Chandler
Your blender in the winter time. I love to do a little chocolate milk situation with my Clean Simple Eats. Okay. I do a little bit of the fairlife milk and then I do A scoop of the chocolate brownie batter. It's perfection.

Chandler
Like I really believe that to my core that she, we really did make the right person famous and she sets an amazing example for other famous people and everything. She does. Yeah.
Lauren
And I think moving to part of the first episode, I think this was actually part of the second episode. But getting to the bonuses where she says, I wanted to set a precedent for, you know, it was important to me with the heirs toward a set of precedent, of generosity essentially. So she's thinking about, hey, how is this going to impact other artists and.
Chandler
The decisions they make and the industry that I'm in.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
Yes, exactly.
Lauren
So she gave out 197 million in bonuses throughout the A tour. So she gave a bonus at the end of each leg and there were five legs. Some speculation was that Pete Cam said that when he read out the letter that they each received 750,000.
Chandler
Yeah.
Lauren
And I actually think that is true.
Chandler
Yeah, yeah. Each I. Yeah, the dancers received about that much. The truck drivers received a hundred thousand. I mean it's crazy.
Lauren
It's so unfathomable. It's so cool. It's so impressive. Um, and I just think you see like their lives actually changing in that moment.
Chandler
Actually changing.
Lauren
Like that's such a, such a huge amount of Money.
Chandler
I mean, she could have given them.
Lauren
All a hundred thousand dollars completely.
Chandler
She could have given. But she gave them such an extra amount. I mean, I just. She could have. If. We probably would have praised her just, you know, in the same way, if she'd given them $100,000.
Lauren
Exactly.
Chandler
50 grand, 10 grand, you know, but she really. I don't know, she just. I think she made it a point to be extremely generous because this tour was very different and it was a different sacrifice for them.
Lauren
Well, yeah, absolutely, A different sacrifice. But also, she just. She does have a history of paying her band more. So she, I guess, has always paid her band a salary. And that's, I think, why they've, like, she's been able to retain the same band members this whole time. And one of them was interviewed and he basically said, like, you'll have band members for George Strait, you know, been in the industry or like, veterans, gold star band members who don't have a salary. And yet Taylor Swift's team. That's just how they do business. They offered that essentially out of the gate. And it's just. Yeah, I think that she probably saw. Hey, like, I have a moment here to actually, really, really materially change these people's lives, especially dancers who, like, they're not in a position where what they do is, like, necessarily a cash cow.
Chandler
Yeah, well. And it's also something that you can't do forever. Yes.
Lauren
That was very moving to see.
Chandler
I really was touched by her relationship and her love for her dancers. I think that, you know, I think we got that energy from the show, but I think seeing it behind the scenes, I really love that. I mean, and then when she talks about, like, scouting for dancers and how she wanted them to be all different types of people. Yeah, no, men, women, shape, sizes, everything. And I. I was like, she really is like, the real deal.
Lauren
Did you notice that when you first saw the Eras tour that the dancers, like, there was a diverse cast of dancers?
Chandler
I totally did that. Yeah. Yeah, I clocked it, too.
Lauren
And I remember, like. I just remember being like, of course. Like, of course this is not just all a bunch of, like, skinny blondes. Yes. You know.
Chandler
Well, she says, too. She doesn't. She says, you know, people when they're selecting their dancers, they're worried about them pulling focus.
Lauren
Yes.
Chandler
And she was like, I don't care about that. Like, she wanted each of her dancers to shine and. And they're meant. I would feel like I would recognize some of them, actually. I full Hollywood, and I don't Know that that's occurred with any other tour concert. Yeah, it's.
Lauren
It's fun to see that. She really wants them to, like, have their moments. Yes. And even when she is rehearsing with Florence and they're doing the choreography and they're like, okay, you're gonna be at the front of the stage, and then the dancers are gonna be doing this, like, really cool thing in the center. She's like, okay, well, we have to be in the center with them, because otherwise people will just be looking at us, and, like, they need to be looking at the dancers. Yeah, there's just a. I think there's, like, a generosity of not just, like, money, obviously, but of, like, sharing the spotlight and attention.
Chandler
She's not. I don't think she's a narcissist.
Lauren
No, I don't think so either.
Chandler
I think we can safely say that we do diagnose mental health quite often on this show, and I think we can. We can do that here. I want to talk about when she talks about learning the choreography and how she says she's. Her choreography has come a long way, which it absolutely has, and that she cannot learn it to, like counts. She has to learn it to, like, syllables and lyrics. I found that to be, frankly, very relatable. I'm like, okay, thank God.
Lauren
She's.
Chandler
If she was also just naturally a perfect dancer. I mean, and she acknowledges she's not.
Lauren
Like, dancing is not really something that comes supernaturally. And I just. I couldn't relate more. We definitely have no rhythm. I felt so. I felt so bad for Florence when she got there. And they're like, okay, and here's. Here's what your choreography is going to be. Because I would have. I would have had the same reaction. Like, I'm sorry, what?
Chandler
I would like to just. I want to be. The only choreography I'm interested in doing is laying on the roof.
Lauren
No, exactly. Exactly.
Chandler
I can remember that one absolutely. Sit on some stairs or lay on the roof.
Lauren
I remember when the docu series opens and she's giving the speech, and she's like, we are performing for. We have performed for 10 million people. Not 10. 10 million people watching a show, which is also cool, but 10 million people. She's giving this, like, long speech about what a big deal.
Chandler
Yeah.
Lauren
This is. And I just remember thinking, like, this woman, she. She's not only just such an incredible songwriter, such an incredible musician and artist, she's also just such an incredible leader.
Chandler
She's a great leader, and there's a.
Lauren
World leader A mantle on her shoulders.
Chandler
The way that she was just kind of holding on to her, like, holding on to everybody. And you can tell that she's very comfortable with them and that they're comfortable with her. In fact, I. I. Even as she was, like, holding onto the girl, I was like, I can't even imagine if Taylor had been holding.
Lauren
Onto for that long.
Chandler
Like, I would. My body would be shaking, convulsing. But she clearly instills and sets a tone of just a comfortable, loving environment, hardworking, you know, nothing but the best.
Lauren
Nothing but the best. No, I think that. I think that it was just so, like, wow, this woman really could be, like, our leader, you know?
Chandler
And I would get. I would want nothing more.
Lauren
You know how they say before the last days that there'll be, like, one World government?
Chandler
Yes, One world. Like, yeah, yeah, maybe, like, that is.
Lauren
And Taylor Swift will leave it.
Chandler
No, but then wouldn't that make her the Antichrist?
Lauren
Well, I think maybe they could have gotten that part wrong.
Chandler
That's, like, the surprise. No, I mean, I would follow a one World order if she was at the head of it.
Lauren
I. I'm with you.
Chandler
Like, like, one eye in the center of a triangle. But it's her. It's a 13. I'm there.
Lauren
Yeah, I'm there in the Versace bodysuit. Like, sign me up.
Chandler
Okay. Let's talk about the Travis moments that we got. We got just a few minimal ones. Nothing crazy. There was a phone call.
Lauren
I. So I felt like the fact that she called him immediately, like, first thing she does when she gets in the car is called Travis after the London show.
Chandler
And it's clearly, it's middle of the night. Yeah. He had, like, been woken up. Okay.
Lauren
So I think with something that's really cool and special is, or I guess important to know, I should say, is that, you know, the London show was the first one after Vienna, and if all our listeners remember, maybe you do, maybe you don't. I. We were supposed to go to Vienna.
Chandler
Not me.
Lauren
But you were. I was supposed to go to Vienna.
Chandler
I always forget that.
Lauren
Apologies, but. And I was literally on the flight when I got the news, so we were all pretty terrified when we went to the London show, because it was the first show after, like, this terrorist, this thwarted attack. And I think that it really was so unsettling for everyone because it was like, could this. You know, it almost was like, well, even if it didn't happen, then did it give new people ideas? Right.
Chandler
It just sort of opened this door to, like, the massive risk that it was to go to the show or to be with this many people and just. What a target. Yeah, exactly. What a target it was.
Lauren
So anyway, I just remember feeling that as someone who was actually in the audience for this show that was filmed. Yes. I was devastated. I was not.
Chandler
I remember that was, that was really brutal for you guys. It was scary.
Lauren
But, but it was so interesting to watch like her and the fact that, you know, she had such physical nerves beforehand. That moment with Andrea was pretty like tender, don't you think? She goes, why? Cuz she's saying I'm having a very physical, bodily nervous reaction.
Chandler
Yeah.
Lauren
And Andrea just leans over and she says why?
Chandler
Just so, so sweet. Very sweet. But yeah.
Lauren
Anyway, so they do the show, it goes off without a hitch and she gets in the car and the first thing she does is calls Travis. And I just found it to be like, I, I, they really have such a clear, like beautiful intimacy.
Chandler
Yes. And I think the fact that she is like, I don't care. It's late, it's late for me. It's probably late for him. Right. I'm calling him, I'm going to tell him that it went so well. He knows that I've been worried about this. There's like a sharing of, of her struggles with him, you know, and of her what she's going through while she's in this crazy time. They clearly like share each other's mantle or like worries.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
And I could just, I could hear in his voice how relieved he was that she felt so good. And I think that is like, that's, that's real love right there.
Lauren
And you know, it was fun to see her say like we're so back and be so excited. Yes. Also, did you love the little like micro details in that moment where she gets in the car and then someone is right there to take off those boots The Christmas.
Chandler
No, I, I totally missed.
Lauren
She puts her feet up, someone takes off her boots, slides them off. She does. Thank you. And then someone else hands her a water bottle with a straw already in it. I live for those details.
Chandler
Oh, I, I want to go back and watch tonight. Tonight when I rewatch it for the third time, I will be watching because.
Lauren
It'S like those logistics have always been so interesting to me. Like who gets the midnight's bodysuit from her hotel room and make sure it all.
Chandler
I mean even seeing her get into the cleaning cart was so, and I, one thing I was thinking about that, the quick aside, I was thinking about not only is it just, logistically it makes more sense for her not to have to walk all the way, but it's like she doesn't have to, like, look at people. Right. She can just fully be like, mentally preparing to go on stage versus, like, hi, Hi. We're going to, you know, like that.
Lauren
I think that also it just like, it kind of takes a lot of the excitement out of that first moment when people see her. If they, if they're seeing her walk down.
Chandler
Well, I just even mean people backstage.
Lauren
Oh.
Chandler
You know, like people just having to like, go through the crowd and make her way to the stage.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
Okay. Back to the Travis moment. I literally when she had. She's handed another water bottle with a straw. And I was like, I wonder if that's like, is it because she's always wearing lipstick or just like, she doesn't want to have to deal with a cap? Does she always want Evian? Is it not always like, I. I want to know. I want to know the instacart.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Yeah.
Lauren
Like, I.
Chandler
Big time.
Lauren
I need to know the. The decision making behind all of those very tiny minute micro decisions. Yes.
Chandler
A hundred thousand. I mean, I was trying to even.
Lauren
Look at the snacks. Like, why is there a straw?
Chandler
Well, I think it's a lot of times because lipstick and you don't want to get like lipstick on your teeth.
Lauren
At the end of a show.
Chandler
I don't know. Maybe it's just easier to sit for.
Lauren
Easier.
Chandler
And maybe I should start doing that at home to make myself feel like a star.
Lauren
Like, I think you should have Ben hand you a water bottle. Always on it.
Chandler
Should I. I'll text him right now and just be like, from now, from here on out, when you bring me a water bottle. A better straw.
Lauren
When you're done with a recording, you need someone to take off your shoes for you. No, I don't think we that yet.
Chandler
No, I. I just love. I loved hearing her call in baby. Like, I, yeah, I'm in it. I'm in it right now. No one can tell me otherwise.
Lauren
Did you think it was so interesting to hear her talk about how she doesn't take anything to go to sleep? Because that was such a Roman Empire for me.
Chandler
I mean, she also said she doesn't do drugs.
Lauren
Yeah, that was. That's also been a Roman Empire for me.
Chandler
I don't know how much I fully buy that. Forever and ever. Yeah. But I'm sure she was keeping her diet and mind, body, soul all very, like, clear. During the ERAS tour, when you're performing.
Lauren
At her level, if you don't want to become addicted to drugs, you literally just have to be like a master of mind over matter. You have to learn how to have your body, like, regulate itself.
Chandler
Yeah. I think, too, the fact that she said, sometimes I don't fall asleep until 4am yeah. And I was thinking about that. I'm okay. She falls asleep at 4am she wakes up at maybe 11, near noon, and then it's like, go to the stadium again. Like, on the days where I have fallen asleep at 4am my whole next day is.
Lauren
Right. Well, I think it's because she's just on that crazy.
Chandler
I know. I'm just saying, like, the fact that that became kind of her timetable, her routine, her. Her rhythm, circadian rhythm is pretty impressive to me.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
You know, anytime that I'm going to bed super late, like, I. I feel like I'm entering a state of psychosis.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Yeah.
Lauren
And I just would feel like such garbage. I think especially also, like, of eating a bunch of room service after.
Chandler
This is why I want to know the order. Because I want to know if. Is it this. I feel like I would have to eat the same thing every time.
Lauren
Okay. I was thinking the exact same thing because I was like, I. Even if I had just worked out a ton, I still feel like if I got a bunch of, like, French fries and fries and, like, crap, like, I still would feel like garbage. Like, I think if I was Taylor Swift, I would need, like, the same chef.
Chandler
Right.
Lauren
Traveling with me to make me, like, delicious, really healthy food.
Chandler
I need, like, grilled chicken and sweet potatoes.
Lauren
But I.
Chandler
Okay.
Lauren
But this is the other thing. I thought so this is a swifty psychosis episode.
Chandler
Yeah. Welcome to it, everyone. If you haven't already clued into that.
Lauren
Non swifties have fully already turned this off.
Chandler
It's fine. We pray for them.
Lauren
We'll catch them next week. But I was thinking about how, like, you really can't afford to get food poisoning if you're her.
Chandler
You cannot.
Lauren
So I was thinking, like, does she eat vegetarian? Because most of the time, food poisoning comes from meat.
Chandler
I mean, you and I have said this before.
Lauren
She seemed.
Chandler
I think she likes her red meat.
Lauren
No, I do, too. But it's just. That's a risk I don't know if I'd be willing to take.
Chandler
Well, I mean, I think if you're staying at a really nice hotel.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
If you're, you know, if the kitchen knows they're preparing, you know, chicken for Taylor stuff, they better make sure it gets to 165 or else. You know. That's a good point. The weight of the world is on their shoulders.
Lauren
I bet you some like tree adjacent person is in charge of like giving a talking to.
Chandler
Totally. To the kitchen.
Lauren
It's like, you do realize that if you don't, if you give her food poisoning, this is.
Chandler
It's over.
Lauren
It's like a $20 million event.
Chandler
Yes.
Lauren
That is down the drain.
Chandler
Yeah, I'm sure. Absolutely.
Lauren
That happens.
Chandler
But I, I am so curious about the food with her. I think, I think because just with any athlete, with any super disciplined athlete, anyone, I want to know how they like, maintain the, like the regularity that they need in order just to survive their insane schedule.
Lauren
Yeah. Well, she must just have like some sort of like super human energy because she was flying on the off days to record Life of a show girl. So she's like, she's just doing so.
Chandler
Much and I never even saw her like, have caffeine.
Lauren
It's just so funny.
Chandler
What's her. Please God, tell me. Her coffee order. We recorded like four times this week.
Lauren
And we're just like, we're exhausted.
Chandler
We're exhausted. It's been a long week and I've hit my stride again, though.
Lauren
Like, we could go for four hours right now.
Chandler
But, like, I just want to know. I want to know every single detail. Back to Andrea for a second.
Lauren
There is nothing more delightful, Chandler, than enjoying a television show or a meal with an early bird gummy.
Chandler
Okay.
Lauren
All of a sudden the flavors are more delicious, the jokes are funnier, your company is more enjoyable. To be totally honest, it's the combination of 12.5mg CBD and 2.5mg THC that I think gives this warm, gooey, melty body feeling that also helps me have an amazing night's sleep.
Chandler
Yes. Speaking of which, I have had a few of those crazy middle of the night wake ups that are related to my cycle. Just leave it at that. And Early Bird helps me fall back to sleep. Like, I cannot overstate how important it is to have a solution when you wake up at 3am and can't fall back to sleep.
Lauren
Literally. Kagan many times will be like, wear the gummies before bed.
Chandler
Everyone go to earlybirdcbd.com to pick up a bottle of Early Bird CBD. They are the best gummies. We love them so much. Use code PA20 for 20% off your order.
Lauren
When it comes to holiday gifting, I.

Chandler
I found that moment that you referenced earlier to be very touching. And I think, like, Andrea is just the backbone, I think, and the emotional backbone. You just know she can, like, crawl into bed next to Andrea, be worried about anything.
Lauren
No, Andrea is truly the person that she, I'm sure, is the most comfortable with at this point, other than Travis.
Chandler
Yeah.
Lauren
And I think that, like, watching Andrea walk by her side after meeting with the families, it's like, that's the only person who could, like, kind of shoulder that with her.
Chandler
I'm literally gonna cry. Yeah.
Lauren
Yeah. And, like, it's just. It's so important that she has Andrea.
Chandler
I think Andrea is, like, such an amazing mom and amazing type of mom that you'd want to have by your side in those moments where, you know, she's, like, warm, emotionally. Like. Like, they're both crying a little bit after meeting with the families and, like, just that. Yeah, that. Just that she doesn't have to, like, shoulder it all alone, that she has her mom who's completely in it with her.
Lauren
No, it's. It's really.
Chandler
It's such a blessing for us swifties. It is.
Lauren
It is. I mean. Yeah.
Chandler
I rest easier. Oh, yeah, please. I was about to be like anything else in the psychosis.
Lauren
And I was intrigued by the furniture that her and Ed Sheeran were sitting on. Also, it was so funny because she's like, I love gas. I love surprising the audience. And she was like, they're gonna be so excited. And they're gonna be like, is he here? Is he here? And I just remember I was so annoyed when he came out, I'm sure, because I was just like, I don't care about Ed Sheeran.
Chandler
Can I say something, though?
Lauren
Sure.
Chandler
He looked better than ever. Oh. I was the most attractive that I've ever been to Ed Sheeran.
Lauren
Okay, great.
Chandler
Yeah.
Lauren
Yeah. I didn't notice, but I. I just. I. True Swifties.
Chandler
I think Ed Sheeran is a huge deal to true believers.
Lauren
I mean, Ed Sheer. Ed Sheeran is a huge, huge recording artist, Chandler.
Chandler
Yeah. And once again, you are incredibly disappointed. I mean, I'm glad he wasn't my surprise guest.
Lauren
Yeah. One thing I was intrigued by.
Chandler
Yeah.
Lauren
Was the furniture they were sitting on in that moment, because I was curious, like, is that furniture that they bring to each stadium? So they set up a little living room.
Chandler
Right. The same, like, green room.
Lauren
And then is that, like, furniture she's picked out, or is that just, like, random furniture that was giving.
Chandler
It already was there. That was already the setup. Green room. I. I kind of believe her to be high maintenance about certain things and then extremely low maintenance about other things.
Lauren
Really?
Chandler
Yeah. Like, I. I see her not being a total control freak about her green room furniture at every single stadium. See, I just feel that I. Like, her hotel room needs to be, like, completely dialed in.
Lauren
See, if I was her, I would probably want both dialed in. I mean, I would want the same sectional.
Chandler
Yes.
Lauren
That's, like, a very specific.
Chandler
The couches were giving, like, photon. Yeah. Food. Like, it was, like, white leather. Yeah.
Lauren
That's why it was confusing to me. Yeah. I think they were cloth.
Chandler
But she also was listening to audiobooks.
Lauren
Yeah. That was funny.
Chandler
Which I thought was really funny. I listened to the same one last year. I recognized it immediately. God of the Woods. Yeah. Very good. Like, mystery.
Lauren
Yeah. What else was. Is there to get into?
Chandler
Like, what else shows? I mean, we literally feel like we've gone over every single detail that we've seen.
Lauren
Oh, I. I did do a little bit of calculations.
Chandler
Okay.
Lauren
So the tour grows 2 billion. So her expenses are estimated that it cost 100 to 200 million to put on. So let's just say 1.8. So then it's like, her. Her net income. Yeah. Then 200 million in bonuses, roughly. So 1.6. Yeah. So she taxes after taxes. 800 million. Still a lot.
Chandler
Excellent math. Still a ton of money.
Lauren
Because I was like, I was gonna have this big speech about, like, I really needed to tell everyone, like, this is a very big deal. How much in bonuses she gave out. Yeah, but she's still clean. She.
Chandler
I mean, she was able to buy her music back.
Lauren
Like, it was. It's a significant amount, but not so significant that it was. I think she really felt it.
Chandler
She's not back in the poor house.
Lauren
No, she's not. Certainly not. I also thought when she talked about adding tortured poets and how she was like, if I hear anyone online say, like, I miss the old show.
Chandler
Yeah.
Lauren
If they knew how hard this was. I do think she's more online than she loves. She absolutely interviews. So that was kind of interesting. And. And then I liked when Florence said, we are the same and that the Persona is huge, but the person is soft.
Chandler
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I love her. I worship at her feet when she's walking around in those Chanel Birkenstocks. That's just. That's our girl.
Lauren
The. Or the. You mean the Dior? The Dior sandals.
Chandler
There was, like, two Birkenstock like, sandals. I thought one of them was Chanel.
Lauren
Oh, I'm sure there was one. Yeah. Yeah. She. She's so funny.
Chandler
She's so funny. Like, her in a skater skirt. I know, like, skater skirt and Birkenstocks. Yeah, that's. That's what she loves.
Lauren
That's what she loves. Yeah. Okay. Well, so fun. I cannot wait to dissect the rest of the four episodes.
Chandler
Okay, well, moving out of Taylor Swift psychosis, moving back into the real world, other pop culture happenings. We had a second episode of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills this week. A good amount happens. I feel like we got, like, a good snippet with each of the cast members. We meet the new one.
Lauren
Yes.
Chandler
So let's get into it.
Lauren
Amanda. Okay. I first want to talk about Kyle and Mo.
Chandler
Yes. Because I've got things to say.
Lauren
Oh, you do?
Chandler
I want to talk about his house. Okay. Before we get into, like, their interaction. So his house is beautiful. It's, like, set up. You know it. When I say his house is beautiful, I mean the exterior and the view. I was so disappointed with the interior. The interior was just giving.
Lauren
I don't know.
Chandler
There were a lot of, like, tall, white chairs.
Lauren
Yeah. The interior is very basic. I'm sure that house is very expensive. But that said, I also Feel like it reminded me of what Kathy said, and she once said, like, something about how, like, Mo couldn't afford X, Y, or Z. This was, like, pretty recently before he met Kyle. No, this is like, she was saying, like, Mo can't afford, like, wait, really? Yeah. Like, I don't think Mo makes as much from the agency as people think.
Chandler
Really.
Lauren
I think he's, like. He's Is of. Has a very minor ownership stake compared to, like, investors. And I think that he's more kind of like, the face of it. Exactly. But it's more of a franchise. And I just. I would be shocked, given seeing those digs, if he really is, like, as wealthy as I think it used to appear.
Chandler
I think what I thought when I saw it was like, this doesn't look like an interior designer did this. It looks like this is leftover furniture from somewhere.
Lauren
Right.
Chandler
Or this is. We're kind of thrown together.
Lauren
Right.
Chandler
Once again, a renter.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
Around her with. With criticism. But yeah. Okay, let's. Let's talk though, about it. When him and Kyle sit on the couch, she brings him over more towels.
Lauren
Yes. As. Because it's like a joke that he only got eight for himself.
Chandler
She holds up, like, a makeup towel, like a black towel, and says, like, this is for your daughters, not for any of the skanky girls.
Lauren
I don't know. I found this scene to be kind of sad. Super sad, because he, like, makes. He kind of says, like, oh, it's like, you should, like, day. It's, like, so fun to be, like, passionate. And she's like, can you please stop talking about this? Like, she's like, you're referencing your own.
Chandler
Experiences talking to your ex husband who. Or not even ex husband. Talking to your husband who you're separated from.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
Who you kind of want to get back together with. And hearing him say, like, you should experience the passion of date, of dating new people. Like, it's so clear that he is emotionally not with her.
Lauren
Do you think she wants to get back together with him?
Chandler
Yes.
Lauren
Oh, interesting.
Chandler
I do.
Lauren
I don't know if that's totally my read. Only because she is so chill about him. And she's like. She is so convivial with him. And so I don't know that that's. I don't think she wants to get back together with him.
Chandler
I. Okay. Potentially, like, I just want to get back together with him. I don't think that she's ready for him to be, like, thriving with other women.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
I don't.
Lauren
But I just don't think you're ever. Who's ever ready for that?
Chandler
I don't know. I think if she was in a. I think if she was truly in a amazing relationship.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
I think we're seeing Kyle now, fully single.
Lauren
Right.
Chandler
We're not seeing Kyle with Morgan.
Lauren
Right.
Chandler
We're hearing a lot more about the Morgan relationship. I mean, of course, never my name. Right. But we're hearing, you know, that she was in a relationship with someone she really deeply loved that's now ended. But now she's single and Mo is continuing to just, like, party. And I don't. I don't think she wants to go out and have one night stands. She doesn't strike me as an Erica Jane type. Or she just wants to get dick. Not. No, not to slut shame. Erica Jane for sure.
Lauren
But Kyle is like a serial monogamist. She's like the girl in high school who always had a boyfriend.
Chandler
Correct.
Lauren
And it was like, you know, you're like a. A freshman in high school and you feel like she's had like three one year relationships.
Chandler
Yeah.
Lauren
Like you've. No one's ever liked you.
Chandler
Literally, she's like, oh, yeah, we've been dating for three years. Yeah, exactly. Junior in high school.
Lauren
Exactly. Okay, should we talk about the Morgan?
Chandler
Yeah. I mean, we never hear the name said.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
But she. Yeah, she literally says, you know, I'm. I'm single now. I was in a relationship.
Lauren
And Dorit. So Dorit on Watch what happens live set, like, confirms it's Morgan, essentially. I just find it to be so interesting that if Morgan Wade was really so private, why would she do, like, the. The music video with Kyle?
Chandler
I know, I know.
Lauren
Just doesn't make any sense.
Chandler
I don't know why either. I do think this is coming from Morgan. I think Kyle would have been more open about it. Yeah. I don't think Kyle wanted to keep it a full secret.
Lauren
No, definitely not.
Chandler
And I also think it would have been good for Morgan's career.
Lauren
It's so weird. But I also. I mean, Kyle, she didn't talk about Morgan on the show, but by having her on and I think being so visibly in love with her, like, she kind of. She just showed she didn't tell.
Chandler
Right.
Lauren
Like, I think we saw.
Chandler
Yeah.
Lauren
That relationship.
Chandler
She never said, like, I'm bi.
Lauren
No, that's true.
Chandler
You know, she's had conversations where she kind of talks about it.
Lauren
Well, I think that's coming up next episode.
Chandler
Is that where she says that I could go Brad. I could go Angelina.
Lauren
It's still. It's still like a preview.
Chandler
Right. Which is still kind of her dancing around.
Lauren
Yeah, for sure.
Chandler
Yeah.
Lauren
Anyway, and that's true. It's like, she. She's very intentional not to discuss the person's gender. If you notice, she never uses any pronouns. And it's interesting because it's like, well, okay, it could be a woman other than Morgan, and you could discuss what it's like to be in your first lesbian relationship. Right in midlife.
Chandler
Totally. Or to say, like, I had a relationship with. With a woman.
Lauren
And I think that would. That would be very fascinating for the viewers to hear. Like, incredible. Is that, like, were you always interested in women?
Chandler
Right.
Lauren
How did this kind of happen?
Chandler
Did this relationship just find you and then you were like, wait, I actually do feel this way. I can't. I can feel this way about a woman. She could talk about it generally versus, like, this is my specific relationship with Morgan. Right. But she doesn't want to do that, I guess.
Lauren
Yeah. Or maybe it's coming because this is really like the first episode where she sits down with Erica and it's very clearly like a premeditated conversation where she's, like, soft, launching, revealing that she dated Morgan.
Chandler
Yes. Yes. So let's talk about Kyle and Dorit and PK and the way that entire situation is going down. Because I got a little hint of this in the last episode when they're talking about the pictures of PK and that woman, you know, of them kissing, and Kyle says, well, you know, not to be team pk, but he didn't know those photos were taken. Right. She's kind of pk. Stan. Stan.
Lauren
Yeah. I mean, I think that she obviously had such a big falling out with Dori, and so she kind of has, like, taken PK side in the divorce.
Chandler
Such a bad look.
Lauren
It is a bad look. And she's obviously not going to fully cop to that, but it's going to be pretty clear. My feeling is like, of course PK has not, like, Mo is saying, oh, PK's not angry. And Kyle's saying, well, she's saying these things about pk, but that's not true to any of my experiences with this person. I know. And it's like, well, yeah, you're not his ex wife.
Chandler
Well, and she's like. She just seems very angry. It's so frustrating to me that, like, everyone gets to make a comment about Dorit's anger. Right. In this situation when, you know, you hear from her, like, PK doesn't give her any money.
Lauren
No. And I. I just feel like obviously PK is not going to be, like, behaving towards Mauricio or Kyle Richards in the same way he's behaving towards his ex wife.
Chandler
Right.
Lauren
Like, you are probably. People are the worst version of themselves while they're getting divorced. Correct. So I just think that it's like an obvious that. I'm sure if he does have a side that's angry or dark, it's just not one that Kahl or Mo would be privy to. But that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. And I. I think the fact that there has been no conversation about finances. They have not organized things and said, okay, who's paying for what? I think it just goes to show what a cluster there they are financially.
Chandler
Absolutely. Absolutely. So. And I think that I really like to read. I've always really liked to read. I think that I am firmly on her side in this divorce. She's been waiting for me to weigh in.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
Because I see her being the primary caretaker. I see her being emotionally extremely involved in her children's lives. And, you know, it's just. This is just a very classic divorce, in my opinion, where the. The dad kind of like, FSR. Fs off. Exactly. And then uses the kids as. Like a. As a chess piece.
Lauren
Yes.
Chandler
To then emotionally torture like their ex wife.
Lauren
Yeah. No, it's. It's really sad. And I tend to just, I think, like, side with the primary caregiver. Exactly. That tends to be the. The most likely, the person who's in the right, in my opinion.
Chandler
Honestly, it's the. Yeah, it's the person who's giving their life over to take caring. Like, to taking care of their children as a single parent. If that was PK in this situation, I. I would be able to recognize completely, you know, or, like, see that there could be faults in Dareep. And once again, like, PK's not day in, day out.
Lauren
No, the.
Chandler
The caretaker.
Lauren
So. So bizarre.
Chandler
Look, we've all been that friend who swears they're gonna get all of their Christmas shopping done by mid November, early December at the latest. And then as it happens every year, it's, you know, December 20th, and we are totally out of luck. We haven't done any of our Christmas shopping. And that is why I love the Macy's gift guides, because their curated gift guides help you search for whatever Persona, category or, you know, really item that you're looking for. For. It's the exact kind of hand holding that I really need this month for My baking obsessed friend, a KitchenAid stand mixer or a Le Creuset Dutch oven, both are guaranteed win. And for all the comfort loving people in my life, I am looking at the Ugg slippers, basically anything Ugg. And for the fragrance and beauty obsessed friends, I'm looking at all of the box sets because they just have the cutest packaging. And this is the moment to shop because Macy's great gift sale is happening now through December 24th with 30 to 60% off amazing gifts. They even have 10 days of curated gifts for kids for him and her. Oh, and did I mention that if you need a fast, as long as you order by December 21st at 5pm you can get it delivered by Christmas. And when you shop at Macy's, you can round up your purchase to support Big brothers, Big sisters. Every cent helps fund meaningful mentoring relationships for kids. And Macy's shoppers have already raised over $13 million for this incredible cause. Okay, so I want to just get to meeting Amanda for the first time.
Lauren
Before we get to Amanda earlier on in the episode. Okay, Can I just ask you how you handled Erica talking about how Tom was basically gonna die in prison and like realizing that she'd get no closure from going to visit him? And she's talking about like really dark, horrible things, but from this outfit, like, no, she looks like a court, I don't know, like a court jester in Alice in Wonderland.
Chandler
It's like a, it's like she should have one of those like those shoes on that are like velvet and they have little like bells at the top. Like, do you know what I'm talking about? Yes, she is literally, absolutely court jester. Even Ben, we were watching, I was watching this episode this morning before coming over here and Ben was like, oh my gosh, did you see this outfit? It's crazy.
Lauren
That outfit is so crazy. It's insane injectables with what she's discussing, which is her accident, dying in prison.
Chandler
Sometimes you have to give yourself your own closure.
Lauren
And now I have to go because I'm auditioning for Alice in Wonderland baby on Broadway.
Chandler
Can I just say I, I love Erica. I really enjoy her dress down.
Lauren
Yeah, me too.
Chandler
I really enjoy her. Like she says she's so beautiful. She's such beautiful skin. I love her like platinum hair that she's always had. I love, I just, I love a bare faced Erica so much.
Lauren
You know who else is so much prettier without makeup? Yeah, actually Erica doesn't fall into this category for me because I think, oh great. Well, No, I think she's equally, like, stunning. Like, she's so beautiful, all glammed up, but then without makeup on, she's so stunning. Mary Cosby, did you notice her bare faced in Greece? You might have missed it. It was like a blinking. You miss it? Yeah. She's like chatting with Meredith in the morning, and I was like, wow, Mary Cosby loses 10 years. She looks, like, fresh as a daisy. It's incredible skin.
Chandler
Anyway. Yeah, I'm watching all these women with their glam. Like, even looking at. I don't know, I guess I won't name names because I don't want to be mean, but I just think the eyelashes that are so heavy where you can literally see the strip. It's a lot. It's a lot. And it makes my face hurt just.
Lauren
Looking at it, just watching.
Chandler
Okay. But yes, let's move on. Okay. Because I didn't expect Amanda to get introduced this early on.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
But to quote Jennifer Tilly, she says, a stranger is going to come into our midst, which I loved.
Lauren
She is so funny. So funny. She. She's so hilarious when. So Amanda says, like, oh, I was born in 1985. She's like saying, you look like the.
Chandler
Chanel 1985 or something show or something.
Lauren
With that motorcycle leather jacket or whatever. And she goes, oh, I was born in 1985. And then they cut to an interview with Jennifer Tully, and she was like, I was like, you know, selling sandwiches on the side of the road.
Chandler
Like, out of a cooler was 10 cents for a sandwich, five for a salad. So I'd push the salads or something.
Lauren
Like, while Amanda was struggling to exit the womb, I was just struggling.
Chandler
So I love her. I love her.
Lauren
I think.
Chandler
I think she occupies the perfect space in this. Like, you know, just. We don't need her maybe in every single scene. But she has, like, she's got away with words.
Lauren
Yes. She's so yummy.
Chandler
I just loved a stranger is going to come into our midst. Sutton has invited Amanda.
Lauren
Apparently, Dorit and Amanda are the people who do not get along, like, ultimately throughout the season.
Chandler
Yeah.
Lauren
So I believe to see, like, what drama percolates.
Chandler
Well, I mean, I even started to see a little bit of drama when she just started to talk about herself. And she says, I have four kids. And then she says, like, two of them are his. You know, my step kids. And Boz is like, I don't know that I like that, you know, somebody saying, those are my kids. When.
Lauren
Yeah, but didn't you hear Amanda said, I'm Raising them.
Chandler
Yeah. She said, I'm raising.
Lauren
So I am curious. And I. The thing I will say is like not. And not saying that you are, you know, agreeing with Boz. But it's like if you put yourself in the face, in the shoes of those kids, imagine if like we don't know the situation. What if she really is raising them?
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Yeah.
Lauren
And the mom's out of the picture and then like they do consider her their mom. And then she's on the show and she's like, I have two kids.
Chandler
I'm not necessarily agreeing with Boz. I think we need to know more about this situation. But I think it's interesting to say, like, I have four kids. I, I guess I, I've heard people say like, oh, we have four kids together. Two are from his previous marriage. But, you know, all four of them, we all live together. You know, I love them all or something.
Lauren
There's certainly a way to phrase it.
Chandler
Yeah. Anyway, clearly maybe that hit a nerve with Boz or whatever because she instantly was like, well, they're not your kids or something. Right. Like that was already starting. And can I also just say.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
Here's what I love. I love a housewife who's made her money in ambiguous ways. Like online courses about manifesting wealth.
Lauren
Yes.
Chandler
Because I just love that we're gonna see this all play out on tv. And I hope to learn more about how she became the. What did she say? The Money queen.
Lauren
The.
Chandler
Yeah, she said she. I became the self proclaimed or I was then dubbed the money queen.
Lauren
Yes.
Chandler
Never heard that before.
Lauren
You're gonna be the queen of anything. Be the queen of money.
Chandler
Yeah.
Lauren
I mean, clearly she's doing well enough because she bought Kyle's house in Bel Air.
Chandler
Totally. No, the money is there.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
I am curious about the origins because if you'll remember, when this she was announced, I did a little cursory search of her website and it is just, it's very expensive online courses on how to make money, on how to manifest money. I believe.
Lauren
Okay.
Chandler
It's all about manifestation.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
I mean, I, I just, I'm skeptical of anyone who's selling a two thousand dollar PDF.
Lauren
Skeptical or jealous?
Chandler
Both. Both. I'm like, it can't be true because it's too fucking easy.
Lauren
I mean, it's just, it's like such a racket because really you're, what you're doing is probably teaching someone like how you get rich is you teach people how to get rich. But no, everyone is just like teaching the people.
Chandler
I feel like, it's just word salad about making money. Like, it's all. It kind of gives, like Scientology to me a little bit. Like, where it's just take all these expensive courses where we're gonna. Yeah. Personal development.
Lauren
Is the course. Is it about, like. Is it basically how to create, like, Instagram content to sell people courses on how to get rich? No, no, no, no, no.
Chandler
I'm gonna find it for you because it is worth noting.
Lauren
Okay.
Chandler
It's like, there's 11 meditate. There's an 11 meditation series. It's like, to me, it looks like you buy these courses that are, like, online videos. For example, like, there's a course called show the up. Remember this? Sell, sell from your soul turning into gold. Money mama.
Lauren
Just buy one of these courses. How much actually are they, Lauren?
Chandler
They're expensive. Help me find it, Lauren. Thank you for asking. The Money mama course, which includes, you know, all these PDFs, is $1500.
Lauren
Okay, we're not buying that. Yeah, yeah. Anyway, we're gonna meet someone. If you are a pop apostle, you listen to the show and you have gotten rich from Amanda's courses or you've bought one. Please reach out.
Chandler
Please reach out.
Lauren
Okay. Anything else from this episode you want to get into? I will say I was laughing at the dick moment when all those met there because I was just dying about. I would love to see you at a party like that because you are, I think, the most prudish, and it would just be so funny.
Chandler
I'm the most prudish?
Lauren
I think you are. Yeah. Like, you're the most modest. Yeah. You don't think so?
Chandler
Say more about this. I just think tread, tread, tread even deeper.
Lauren
What do you mean?
Chandler
Like, I wouldn't. I would just kind of giggle like I couldn't handle it.
Lauren
I just think it would make you so uncomfortable, actually. Would make me extremely uncomfortable. I honestly would not want to be there.
Chandler
I think this is a lot of projection because, I mean, I think you've said on the show I'm a little bit more sexually liberated than you ever were.
Lauren
Yeah, you definitely are.
Chandler
So. Yeah, this argument's falling apart.
Lauren
Yeah. Anyway, I found that scene to just be. I just would never want to be surrounded by, like, nine penises. Yeah.
Chandler
Let me just say when. When Erica says, I'd rather have a bag of dicks than a bag of. What was this, like, something else? I was just like, that's not me.
Lauren
Yeah. Yeah. Okay, so in other Bravo news, everyone, two pieces of news we want to get to before we conclude this program today, Real Housewife of Orange County, Alam, Megan King, everyone. So she has officially lost custody of her kids and will only see them now for three weeks a year.
Chandler
That's crazy.
Lauren
With supervised visitation. So according to Us Weekly, Megan King has agreed to allow Aspen nine and the seven year old twins Hart and Hayes to live full time with her ex husband. Jim Edmonds will now primary custody of the children and they will reside in Tennessee. The update comes after King temporary lost full custody of her children earlier this year. This was made when a school nurse called CPS because she had basically instructed the school nurse to give the kid Ritalin.
Chandler
Yeah.
Lauren
Which the kid was not for and.
Chandler
Which is like wild.
Lauren
Yeah. So this is a comment I found on Reddit and says, I'm a school nurse in California and under Ed Code, we cannot administer anything that is over the counter unless. Over the counter, unless there is a written doctor's order or parental consent in writing. If a child requires medication that should be administered at school, we require paperwork to be filled out by the prescribing physician to be faxed, sent directly to the school from the doctor. So it's not like they can even just show, hey, this, you know, my kid has a script. The bottle should be unopened and the pills are carefully counted and administered by the nurse or health tech, not the child.
Chandler
Can I also just tell everybody, ground everybody in the fact that this is a seven year old boy. Like we have seven year old, you know, nieces and nephews, basically six, seven. Like that's incredibly young to be giving. I mean it's never okay if something's not prescribed. And especially, I mean Ritalin is no joke.
Lauren
I always want to take the side of the primary caregiver, as I said earlier in the episode. But something is off here.
Chandler
Something is very off. The idea that you're giving your 7 year old like intense medication.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
That they're not prescribed for. I, I think really when I think about the age, that's when it feels really shocking and just, it really doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
Lauren
Remember when Megan King was a Biden for like five weeks.
Chandler
Yes, yes.
Lauren
So she fell in love with this guy who was Joe Biden's nephew and she married him and they had, she, they from I think their first date to getting married, it was five weeks.
Chandler
It was something during COVID I want to say.
Lauren
Yeah, it was. Is something crazy. I think Joe Biden went to the wedding.
Chandler
I think so too. Yeah.
Lauren
Is this, so this is such a wild part. Of Bravo history. Although really wasn't on Bravo. But anyway, I just think that like even that is such like a. It just goes to show that there's something not fully.
Chandler
Yeah.
Lauren
And working.
Chandler
And we do not like Jim Edmonds.
Lauren
No. We want to be team Megan.
Chandler
Yeah.
Lauren
There's just something very odd.
Chandler
I mean, I think it was all very unclear when, you know, the reports came out that she lost custody or whatever that he was fighting her for custody hearing that she was trying to give the seven year old unprescribed medication. ADHD medication is crazy.
Lauren
Yeah. It's changed. I think it's changed the equation a little bit.
Chandler
Yeah. Moving on to less crazy news, less shocking, less wild. I almost wish we had champagne to cheers. But Todd and Bronwyn separated.
Lauren
Thank God. I'll read you.
Chandler
I'll read everybody the statement, please. So reps for Bronwyn told TMZ the pair decided to go their separate ways after thoughtful consideration. This was a mutual decision made with care and respect for one another. They asked for privacy during this time. So just the CANVA template for divorce announcement.
Lauren
I mean, did you see Amy Schumer's divorce announcement?
Chandler
No, I just saw that they were splitting up. I didn't see the announcement.
Lauren
Okay.
Chandler
So was it funny?
Lauren
It actually was funny. It was actually so funny. So I'll read it to you. So Amy Schumer posted with a photo of her.
Chandler
Yeah. And her. Yeah.
Lauren
Now, I guess, soon to be ex husband. And it says blah, blah, blah. Chris and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage after seven years. We love each other very much and will continue to focus on raising our son. We would appreciate people respecting our privacy at this time. Blah, blah, blah. Not because I dropped some lbs and thought I could swag a basket. And not because he's a hot James Beard award winning chef who can pull, who can still pull some hot tail, amicable and all. Love and respect, family forever.
Chandler
That is a hilarious divorce announcement.
Lauren
And so funny.
Chandler
I love her saying, not just because I dropped a few lbs or not just because he's, you know, an award winning chef. Like there's clearly, I don't know, there's clearly good vibes there despite everything.
Lauren
And no, definitely an iconic announcement given the fact that they all basically sound like Bronwyn and Todd. Yes. I personally feel like it's exactly what Heather McDonald predicted, which is she probably got on the show hoping that it would give her some sort of platform to make her own money till and to leave him. And because he probably is, I Mean, we saw. He is such a nightmare to be married.
Chandler
He's a nightmare. Heather McDonald was absolutely right. I'm so thrilled about it. I'm literally like rejoicing in the streets. Hosanna. We saw their marriage up close, like, you know, last season. Obviously it looked bad then. And then I think when we heard that he cheated on her, it was just like, this is a nightmare. This is a nightmare. A living hell. This man is awful.
Lauren
No, absolutely. And I just think that, you know, like, for her it'll be very interesting to watch her as a single person and her evolve beyond. Like, she, I think has so much more to offer and so much more substance than, oh, this is like a ten thousand dollar heart Saint Laurent coat or whatever. Like, the expensive designer costumes are actually the least interesting part about her. She's so well spoken.
Chandler
Yes.
Lauren
She's such a great housewife. And I just actually think that seeing her in this next phase where maybe she's like. Because she's not going to be, she's not going to be able to be orbiting or she's not going to be in the same sphere that she used to be in financially. She's not going to be flying private. She's not going to be living the way she used to. And I feel like this is going to be an amazing chapter of like hopefully of authenticity. Yeah. And realness for her. Like, it's honestly going to be a little bit her Erika Jane era.
Chandler
Absolutely.
Lauren
And I'm excited to see whatever her casita is like. I'm excited to see this next phase for her.
Chandler
Bronwyn is like a great like Carol Radzwell, like kind of like an Aaron Leechy or whatever where they're just like. I just feel like I could have a conversation with her at dinner and we would be understanding each other. You know, like, she's not just never head in the cloud. She's not Delulu or crazy. And so yeah, I, I love seeing her on, on our screen and I think this is where Housewives is actually quite amazing because it gives like these women who are stuck in bad marriages.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
Kind of a, a way out.
Lauren
A way out. And I, I, it's the best thing for her to stay in Salt Lake because she really, she's on this cast. But I just would love if she moved to New York.
Chandler
Yeah.
Lauren
Like Ramen should move to New York. Be on Roni. And I just feel like now there's nothing that's going to tie her to Salt Lake City right when needs to is probably going to fly the coop.
Chandler
Yeah.
Lauren
And I just probably already has. Salt Lake is like, not the place.
Chandler
It doesn't feel like her necessarily. Yeah.
Lauren
Yeah. But she.
Chandler
She is great on that cast and.
Lauren
It'S such an opportunity. Also, you know what I was thinking about? Because I was like, oh, man. The fact that PK is not giving Dre any money. But Dream must be pulling in a lot of money.
Chandler
Totally. Right.
Lauren
She must be making millions a year.
Chandler
I mean, brand deals. Between brand deals.
Lauren
She has 1.6 million followers.
Chandler
Yeah.
Lauren
So she's probably fine. But it's all fascinating.
Chandler
It's all fascinating. I'm very thrilled that they are splitting up because having to watch them, it was deal with their relationship and then having her say we're actually super happy.
Lauren
Yeah. I think that honestly, it was fascinating to watch, but I couldn't handle, like another season of it would have just been like, okay, this is just terrible.
Chandler
Right. And. And nobody was buying it.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
So.
Lauren
So interesting though that she just said on the most recent episode, everything is good.
Chandler
We're actually quite happy.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
Okay.
Lauren
I can't wait till she's so like, I'm curious what she's gonna spill about Todd.
Chandler
I mean, is the divorce gonna be messy?
Lauren
Well, they apparently know prenup.
Chandler
Great.
Lauren
So that'll be interesting. And I was doing a little bit of research and I guess Utah considers nine years to be like right on the cusp of a long term or a medium termish marriage. Yeah. She should get alimony for the next like 10 years, essentially. Wow. So, yeah, it'll be interesting to see what happens. Yeah. Okay, you guys, What a fun 2025. I mean, there's gonna be fresh episodes on. On premium this week. We have our Diane Keaton deep dive. Next week is a re. Next week is a rerun. And then there will be. We're probably. We're probably going to record remote about.
Chandler
The next two episodes of the documentary.

Hosts: Lauren & Chandler
This episode marks a pivotal and festive edition of Pop Apologists, where Lauren and Chandler dive deep into the first two episodes of Taylor Swift’s “End of an Era” docuseries. The sisters, both dedicated Swifties, discuss their reactions—some disappointed, some delighted—before branching out into robust recaps and reactions to current Real Housewives drama, with a focus on Beverly Hills and news on Salt Lake City. The episode is as much a celebration of pop culture obsession as it is a candid, sisterly discourse on celebrity, fandom, and reality TV.
