Lauren
I don't know about you, but sometimes.
Amanda
The getting ready part is honestly more fun than the actual event. Like the playlist is on, the outfit options are laid out, and for a brief moment, I'm the most organized, confident version of myself. That moment before that is where the magic is.
Chandler
I'm usually a mix of a planner and a last minute sprinter, which is why I love having a one stop shop like Macy's. Whether I'm prepping days ahead or doing that panic shopping in the morning of maybe, Macy's always has exactly what I need to feel ready.
Amanda
Now Macy's has everything for every milestone.
Lauren
Think about birthdays.
Amanda
The days leading up to them are full of outfit ideas, little treats for yourself, and planning how you want to ring in a new year or weddings. Finding a gift they'll actually love and a dress that's festive but not stealing the bride's thunder. And anniversaries, whether it's the first or the 50th, there's always that ritual. Spritzing your favorite fragrance, finding the outfit that gives you confidence, and taking a deep breath.
Chandler
Macy's is there for all of it. Because the moments before the milestone matter just as much as the milestone itself.
Amanda
So good, so good, so good.

Lauren
We are back. Chandler. Hello. Another episode of Pop Apologists is upon us on this stunning Tuesday, February 17th. The year of our Lord 2026 as.
Chandler
We record it absolutely is February 17th, 2026. Let's get into it. I haven't seen you in a few days. Feels nice. Feels like, you know, a little bit of a shift, a little bit of a break.
Lauren
Yeah. So is the energy lighter in your home?
Chandler
Well, the energy is always light in my home. But I will say, you know, now that last week is behind us, I feel at ease. You know, at ease soldier, is kind of how I feel.
Lauren
Last week was stressful. Last week was really intense. So funny. The weeks where we're posting from any sort of like big event and it kind of looks the most glittering, I think on Instagram are the weeks that are so draining for me, IRL or basically are Nothing like what it appears like.
Chandler
I cannot agree more. And, yeah, I mean, it's just.
Lauren
It's all very tiring. It's all very tiring.
Chandler
And you and I are just really not. We're not strong workers. We're. We're not paying our stock. But alas.
Lauren
How was your weekend? How was your Valentine's Day? Okay, so we had a crazy work week last week, and I got up there and it was like a lot of recording and then also just a lot of pop apologist work stuff. And so I was go, go, go. And as you know, and as I talked about on the premium, I just. I alluded to it briefly. There were some kerfuffles between me and my husband, Kagan, while I was away. We had a few days disagreements, and it was just not great timing coming up on Valentine's Day, you know?
Chandler
Well, and I think when you're not together and you have a little kerfuffle and, you know, you're in separate places, it can just like stick for longer, you know?
Lauren
Yes, yes, exactly. Because you're not like, forced to kind of be around each other and get through it and get past it. You can kind of sit in your feelings more. So anyway, I wanted to share how things concluded in case this is like any lesson for likewise married or just in long monogamous relationships. They're committed to folk who. Listen, I don't know if that sentence made sense, but I'm not going to re. We're not going to redo it.
Chandler
Committed to folk who are in long term. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. But I. That was a great, inclusive, you know, caveat. So let's. Let's proceed with what you're about to say.
Lauren
So, okay, so he did something that really pissed me off, and I got home and it was nothing crazy, obviously, but it was just. Yeah, it bugged me very much. Bothered me. And so Chandler knows all the crimes. Crimes of Cagnar. And so anyway, long story short, I got home and we talked about it, and, you know, I did not feel like the apology was a 12 out of 10. Okay.
Chandler
Yeah. Okay. Actually, this is all news to me. I love it. I love it when you're expecting a 12 out of 10 apology and you don't get a 12 out of 10 apology. It makes things really, really annoying. As if they weren't already to begin with.
Lauren
Exactly. We were very clearly at an impasse. Okay. So then the next morning, we have a new kerfuffle. This is more just based on him saying that he's going to get an E bike and ride it around town, and me expressing wild anxiety about this.
Chandler
Okay.
Lauren
And I did text you and Courtney, and I'm like, you know, I feel a lot of anxiety about Kagan riding a Vespa or an E bike around town. And you guys kind of grounded me in the reality that this is potentially neurotic and insane, which actually did help a lot.
Chandler
Yeah. I mean, Ben rides an electric city bike around town as he pleases, so I don't know how. How to feel about that either. I mean, I think there is some. There's a little bit of not neuroticism happening here. Um, but I do think the E bikes do scare me, especially when people aren't always wearing helmets. My husband included.
Lauren
Yeah. And then he also wanted to say that our future children, you know, if we have children together, will be riding E bikes, and it's unreasonable to expect that they won't be.
Chandler
I mean, would you feel comfortable with them riding an E bike? Like, maybe not crazy comfortable. Would you be okay with it if they were. If they were always wearing a helmet? Like, I feel like I have no control if they're always wearing a helmet.
Lauren
I just don't really want them on anything motorized that goes, like, unnaturally fast. Let them, you know what, Let them use their quadriceps. Okay. To get across the earth in a fast manner.
Chandler
You know that, like, New York City had, like, the has, like, these E bikes. And do you know that, like, I think Eric Adams made them go a lot slower because they used to go really fast, like, quite powerfully fast, and then they now go slower than they went before because they can go extremely fast.
Lauren
Eric and I are absolutely on the same page, unlike Kagan and I about this issue.
Chandler
You and Eric love a party scene, love a night out. Love to rub, rub shoulders, rub elbows.
Lauren
My favorite Eric Adams quote is, let your haters be your waiters as you sit down at the table of success.
Chandler
Now that he's no longer the mayor, he can just be like, a hilarious chapter.
Lauren
Yeah. And New York City's New York City glittering history. So, anyway, okay, so basically we had a new disagreement. And that's about, like, as you know, that's kind of like the level of our previous disagreements. I just don't want anyone to think, like, something truly heinous happened. Yeah. And I don't want to be, like, throwing him under the bus. These are all, like. They're all very just, like, G rated disagreements. Yes. Okay, so long story short, I Was pretty still upset as Valentine's Day approached or was here. And I just was like, you know, you need to be true and authentic to yourself. You need to talk about this more. You need to get more to the root of this. Like, you just need to be true to you, true to who you are. Like Mel Robbins to myself.
Chandler
I'm dying at you being like, I'm not in the mood to be like, super cutesy and romantic because we're in this fight and dressing that up as like, you just need to be authentic and be true to yourself. Yeah, don't be fake. Don't be fake on Valentine's Day.
Lauren
Exactly. But he had this omakase reservation. And I don't know, I just also didn't. I didn't want to put up a huge stink. And so I just went. I got all dressed up, I pretended like things were fine. All these annoyances had really dragged on for a few days, probably too late. And I couldn't really turn the page. And I thought we needed like another long dialogue.
Amanda
Okay.
Chandler
Yeah.
Lauren
And anyway, I just pretended like everything was fine. Okay. We went out to.
Chandler
So you were not authentic to yourself?
Lauren
No, I was not sure to myself.
Amanda
I was.
Lauren
I checked all my authenticity at the door and I pretended like everything was completely fine and that I was not super bugged. And I had a few cocktails and I gotta tell you, you know what? I woke up the next morning feeling a million times better and basically over it. It literally was like I had to just kind of pretend like I was over it. And then I got over it. I actually didn't need to, like, drill down further, further with them. I didn't need more dialogue. I just needed to like, switch the channel in my brain. And it worked. It literally worked. So anyway, for anyone else in a long term monogamous situation of any gender.
Chandler
Agreement. As long as everyone's consenting.
Lauren
Exactly. If you are also, you know, working it out with an adult or more, This is, I think, advice for all of us in it for the long haul. Like, just pretend like things are fine. And you know what? They might actually. You might actually just completely get over it.
Chandler
Yeah. I think especially, you know, when it comes to those like low to medium, not even medium, those like low level disagreements, sometimes you do just want to be right and you want like almost the personal satisfaction of the other person not groveling, but, you know, potentially wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. And I don't know that that's always the healthiest thing to seek out you know, at the end of every single disagreement, it's, you know, to need it to go so long in your favor.
Lauren
Yeah. Because that can make you a little, actually like, a little psychotic to deal with. If every disagreement has to end with the other person, just like you said, just being completely on your side. Like, if that's how all your fights end, you might be a little crazy because they might be dealing with us, you know, with someone that they've got to pretend with to make peace. So. My husband does not pretend. And sometimes I have to. And you know what? It worked out. Ladies and men and all kinds.
Chandler
And all kinds. And everyone in relationships or of any type of situation where everyone's consenting, I have to share something that I. I don't know, maybe I've shared this with you, but I think what.
Lauren
It's got you a red roses for Valentine's Day.
Chandler
I think this might be interesting to you and to the listeners, but Ben filled our entire home with Rosie and diamonds jewelry and. And roses. Um, yeah, okay. No, the room was not filled with diamonds and roses or rose. Um, I just feel like those things should be all, you know, grouped together in like a housewives tagline.
Lauren
No.
Chandler
Valentine's Day in New York is so weird because it's already impossible to get a reservation on, like a normal weekend, normal holiday, normal day.
Lauren
Excuse me.
Chandler
And then in New York, it's always like a prefix menu, which is just like the worst. I think I hate, like, a prefix menu.
Lauren
I think most people would agree, you know, they bemoan the prefix. It's expensive. It's never like everything you want. It's always like a weird scallop situation at the beginning.
Chandler
Exactly. It's always a weird fish. And like, I. I am growing up and eating more fish than I ever have in my entire life. But, like, it's. Yeah. Anyway, more on that later. But, yeah, so can't wait for that. Yeah. So every restaurant is like a weird prefix menu that's super expensive. And it's like, I want to go to a restaurant that I like to eat at and eat the things that I like to eat there. Not like now the choices are only these new things. So we actually ended up going out to dinner the night before Valentine's Day. And then on Valentine's Day, we were just low key. Stayed home, then made a steak, gorgeous for the two of us, and we split a bottle of wine, which was very, you know, out of the ordinary for us because we just don't really drink at home together. We both of us drink, obviously, but we don't drink at home when it's just the two of us. And it was really.
Lauren
It was.
Chandler
It was cute and fun. And then we went and did a very unsexy thing which is we saw the movie the Testament of Ann Lee, which is really raunchy.
Lauren
Oh, it is raunchy.
Chandler
I mean, is it raunchy? I mean, let's talk about, like, Wuthering Heights is raunchy. I mean, there is. There is sex in it, but it's not. Not in the way that, you know, you would think you'd want to see something sexy on Valentine's Day.
Lauren
Did you like the Testament of Vanley?
Chandler
I did. I really like it. I thought it was really good. It's not a movie that I'm gonna reach for, I think. I don't think I need to see it again. But I. I think it's fascinating also. Just like, with our Mormon upbringing, you know, knowing it's like, similar time period is like, you know, the origins of Mormonism. I mean, Amanda Seyfried is so good in it. She's just, like, truly an exceptional actress. And you have kind of ruined her for me, though, because all I could think about while I was watching was, like, her affair. I mean, so thanks.
Lauren
I will say, obviously, I have no firsthand knowledge. It's just about putting timelines together. Just about putting the puzzle pieces together. But you know what? I think that if she couldn't suspend your disbelief with her acting, that's really on Amanda.
Chandler
I mean, she could. I just, like, every time I was caught up in how good she was, I was like, well, it's just too bad because, you know, like, she doesn't believe in the sanctity of marriage. I mean, all.
Lauren
All of Hollywood is corrupt. So I would just check your expectations of virtuous actors and actresses at the door. Chandler.
Chandler
It's true. Do you. Do you know very much about the Shakers also?
Lauren
No, I don't know very much about it. And I saw the trailer, and it looks good, but it was one of those movies where I'm just like, am I gonna be, you know, gritting my teeth through this? Oh, like, is this gonna feel like a movie that is so artistic and the way it's done is so important that it's just kind of insufferable to watch? No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Chandler
I know those. I know those. The movies that you're talking about, it's definitely not that. It's just, like, a movie about, like, a Fundamentalist religion. And like, you know, spoiler, the shakers don't believe in sex. Or like, she kind of brings about that doctrine of like. Okay, now actually, we need to take it all a step further. And no sex between husband and wife. No nothing. Like, we need to give up all of the evils of the flesh, I believe is what she calls it. It kind of sounds like a phrase we'd use on the podcast.
Lauren
Yeah. Honestly, the evils of the flesh I think that Amanda is probably acquainted with, sadly. And so maybe the. This, this film and acting as an Lee is some sort of personal exercise.
Chandler
I guess so. But yeah, I think, I think you actually should watch it because I think you would enjoy it. It's not super dark or, you know, hard to get through in any way.
Lauren
Well, thank you for that report, Chandler. I will definitely look into it. Anything else from your weekend you want to share?
Chandler
Well, I want to talk about Love Story.
Lauren
Okay.
Chandler
First and foremost, because I think that's. That's what I spent the weekend doing was watching that show and I just, I kind of can't wait. We'll get to these other topics after, but I just want to talk about that first, if that is okay with you.
Lauren
No, let's absolutely talk about it.
Amanda
All right, everyone, you know what's coming. It's time for me to espouse the virtues of the very stunning product that has personally changed my world. Early Bird CBD gummies. This episode is brought to you by booking.com planning a girls trip always sounds fun until you remember you're booking for multiple people with very specific opinions. My sisters and I have non negotiables blackout curtains so we can actually sleep. Good natural light for all those photos and ideally something close to a beach. And just go ahead and trust me, not very flexible about these things. That's why Booking.com is our go to. Booking.com offers a wide array of hotels and vacation rentals across the US So you can find exactly what you're booking for. Even if the people you're booking for are extremely picky like us. You can filter for the things that actually matter instead of settling for something that's just fine. Whether you're booking for yourself, your partner.
Lauren
Or a high maintenance group chat, booking.com.
Chandler
Makes it easy to get it right. If a state can check all of our boxes, it can check anyone's. Find exactly what you're booking for. Booking.com booking.
Amanda
Yeah.
Chandler
Book today on the site or in the app.
Lauren
So I've only watched the first episode. Have you finished all three that are out right now?
Chandler
The short answer to your question is yes, but the long answer is that we had a terrible blunder in that we watched the episodes all out of order.
Amanda
What?
Chandler
I know, I don't know if like you're using my Hulu. Someone else is on my Hulu. It's fine. You know, we, we share, we liberally share our streaming accounts. You know, we're a family. But we ended up watching the. So there's three episodes that are out, everybody. This is the love story, Carolyn Bessette, JFK junior Show, Ryan Murphy show. We watched the third episode first and I'm familiar with the story, obviously, so I'm like, okay, so they just kind of start a little bit ahead and then we're going to work our way backwards. Great. Right? Not a problem. And I'm like, I can understand art. I'm like, I can, you know, I can suspend some need for a, like a linear story. So anyway, we watched the third episode and then by the time we got to the second episode, we were just like, wow, they're really like kind of doubling down on this like going back thing. And. And then we're like, oh, fuck. So then we finally watched the first episode yesterday. So yes, Lauren, I have watched it all, but I watched it in the complete wrong order. But what I will say is maybe this was actually like divine intervention because it kind of gave like the most incredible, like scintillating buildup for Carolyn Bissett and JFK Jr. Because in my experience, I didn't see them actually interact until, like, like, their very. Their first encounter until I'd watched, you know, the other episodes. So, like, I was so primed and ready for their first moment at that party. It was so good.
Lauren
Okay, wait, I'm so confused. So in this. In episodes two and three, they don't interact?
Chandler
Sorry. They do interact, but, like, it's a little bit more fraught. It's not like, as. Like, I don't know. It's like, it's different. And I don't want to spoil anything for you, but, like, it's not.
Lauren
Their relationship is not as hot and heavy.
Chandler
It's not the same.
Lauren
It's not the same.
Amanda
And then.
Chandler
And then. I can't believe, like, the first episode. Once again, the first episode, slash third episode that I watched begins, like, literally with, like, her getting her nails done before she goes to, like, get on a plane with him and her sister.
Lauren
And she says that shade of red is going to be too bold for this life she's supposed to lead.
Chandler
If people can't tell from the tenor of my voice, I'm loving it. I was really, like, kind of like, I had low expectations given the screen test, given that everything we saw. And I am just. The music. Like, I think he is so perfect. He's so handsome. I think I need to have Ben start blow drying his hair. Like, I am just. I'm so in it. I'm so into the two of them. I do have some issues with her particular curl of her hair.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
But I'm into it. I'm into it. So, anyway, tell me how. How are you feeling?
Lauren
Okay. I have a lot of thoughts. I'm just going to go one by one. I find that her hair highlight is wrong, and it is bugging me. There's too much contrast. It's too heavily highlighted in the front in certain scenes. And then it's too dark otherwise. Like, it doesn't give that, like, just supernatural kind of dirty blonde look. It looks highlighted, and that bothers me. And I know exactly what you're talking about. Like, the wave of her. Ha. It looks done.
Chandler
It doesn't look effortless.
Lauren
And that's what they're. You know, Carolyn Bessette, her big thing was 90s minimalist, effortless. That was. She was the queen of that. And so I definitely think that they did not quite nail either of those things.
Chandler
Okay, let's just go back to the curl of her hair. It absolutely looks Fresh from, like a half inch barrel curler. And that is completely wrong. Also, like, the curl at times starts like halfway down her head, which I think is a terrible look. Like, I feel like that's just giving like the worst parts of, I don't know, dated fashion.
Lauren
Be careful, tread lightly, you know, whatever.
Chandler
Cancel me. But yeah, like, her hair is kind of like flat and straight and then the curl begins halfway down in a way with those like tighter curls that I don't think looks good. And yes, she really could have used a root lift. She could have used a gloss or like a glaze.
Lauren
Literally, she needed a toner to kind of blend everything.
Chandler
Yeah. Yes. But the clothes are working for me. And I thought the clothes were not going to work for me.
Lauren
Yeah, the clothes look good. I will say the clothes absolutely look good. I would caution everyone before trying the clothes at home because I have tried many times. I have tried so many times to nail this look.
Chandler
Which look? Which one?
Lauren
Just the minimalist, classic, low key, you know, 90s silhouettes that are just very understated. Cool. Okay. I come out every time looking like I work at the bank. I come out looking so banal, I can never nail it. So I wish all of you luck as you try to nail the Carolyn Bessette look. But I have just fallen on that sword too many times.
Chandler
Just.
Lauren
No, it's too, too tall of a mountain for these, for these legs to climb.
Chandler
I don't have the face or the figure for black slacks. Like a pedal pusher slack. Like, I just. It's just, it's not gonna work for me.
Amanda
It's.
Lauren
The problem with those outfits was just like corduroy pants and a white button down. It's like, yeah, gfl, girl, gfl with that being a really hot look on you, okay? Because none of that is helping anyone. None of it's helping anyone. So you better be so hot naked that it doesn't matter what you put on your body, because the hotness will seep through the corduroy and the white button down. And that's an eternal gospel truth that all women know is correct. Okay. Because those, those clothing are doing no heavy lifting. The hair, not Also not helping.
Chandler
No, it's. It's true. It. Yeah, the clothes are really not. Not the, the deal closer, in my opinion.
Lauren
Wait.
Chandler
But it's still so much better than that screen test that we saw where her hair was that icy, icy blonde and there was that three quarter length camel coat. You know what I'm talking about, don't you?
Lauren
I Do know what you're talking about. But she did have different, like, hair moments. She was platinum for a time. She did have a time when she was sandy blonde. And I feel like with that, I actually found the platinum look to be more, like, true than I found this look.
Chandler
Okay.
Lauren
But I also haven't seen the platinum look on the screen because I've only seen episode one where she has, like, the sandy blonde hair when she's super young.
Chandler
I will say in the very beginning of episode one, her. Her hair is the most blonde that we've seen. Okay. But I have another thing to say about it. Okay.
Lauren
Okay.
Chandler
I had something kind of dark wash.
Lauren
Over me while we were watching.
Chandler
I know. Everyone brace yourself. I'm watching these episodes. I guess you haven't watched episodes two or three, but, you know, you see more of their interactions and her just her general cool, like, confident, kind of amazed vibe. Can I just say what I don't beat me to it because I have.
Lauren
So much to say about this.
Chandler
I'm laying there with. With my husband. I'm laying there in a secure relationship, and I'm just like, why the fuck didn't I play harder to get?
Lauren
Okay. This really me. This really, really bothered me. Why? Because you were just like. I mean, well, I just felt the end of that.
Chandler
Well, I think I said to Ben, I was like, I gave it all away. I was just like. I. I retroactively felt ashamed that I wasn't like, well, yeah, we'll see. Like, I just. I was just kind of like, wow, I should have played a lot more games and been, like, way less, like, excited when you came around.
Lauren
Okay. There's truly so much to say here. I do think that would have made Ben's experience in your early relationship more exciting. So you did drop the ball. I agree.
Chandler
He looked at me like a crazy person, but I was. When I was visibly kind of annoyed with myself.
Lauren
But, yeah, I think that this type of, like, interaction and style when speaking and kind of vibe, it only works on TV and in movies. Yes. Because I actually. So I wrote down. I literally wrote down, I wish they made her have a little less game. She's so incredibly smooth and seductive. It feels very unrealistic and highly unrelatable because I was not like that whatsoever with Kagan. Like, when, okay, he shows up to their first date that he has asked her on, and he is late.
Chandler
She's 20 minutes late, 30 minutes late, maybe.
Lauren
She basically just walks away like he can never speak to her again.
Amanda
You made me wait for 20 minutes.
Lauren
She's just like so icy. And any normal girl that. That happens to. And by the way, you know who's coming? The son of John F. Kennedy. Okay, Jackie O's son is coming to take you to dinner. He's 20 minutes late. You are absolutely not just going to completely storm off. Okay? You might be like, oh, you know, that was kind of like, little late.
Chandler
Not a good sign.
Lauren
What other red flags do we got coming? JFK Junior. You need to work on that.
Chandler
Your 90s Delilah voice.
Lauren
What other things do I got to work on Junior? Or do I got to look out for Junior?
Chandler
Anyway, I just felt like Junior wise, the idea of his nickname being Junior makes him so much less odd. Junior.
Lauren
Well, you know what? Okay, another scene that bothered me.
Chandler
Wait, wait, no, no. I have more to.
Lauren
I want to say something because I'm continuing my thought.
Chandler
Well, I. I know, but if I let you just continue your thought, the episode will end without me saying anything else.
Lauren
Okay, fine.
Chandler
What before, like, even before the date, when she has her first interaction with him at the.
Lauren
This.
Chandler
In the sexy red haze of that Calvin Klein, you know, party, whatever, and he asked for her number and she says, you know where I work. Ask a section. Oh, I'm sorry. JFK Jr. Is asking for your number. Like, I'm sorry. It's not like. It's not like he's sending you an unsolicited, like, pic of some sort. Like, he's just like, asking for your number and you're like, nah. Nope. That's when I lost it personally.
Lauren
So I guess there is a rumor that she did this. So this could be an urban legend or she could actually have had this much game. But I find it so hard to believe and unrelatable. And I kind of wish just watching this, I do think he's super hot and I love his character. I just wish they had made him have a little more game and just made him a little bit more smooth and then made her a little more insecure. Like, that would have made me feel like I could relate. Truly.
Chandler
No, I. I understand completely where you're coming from. This is why I had a crisis. Because I was just like, this was never me.
Lauren
No, never.
Chandler
Never. On my best days. On my never. On my hottest best days was never me. But yeah, he. I mean, he's just honestly really hot. Like, I find this actor to be respectfully really hot. He's.
Lauren
He's absolutely very cute. I agree with that for sure.
Chandler
You find him to be like 12 out of 10 hot, right?
Lauren
I find him to be 10 out of 10. I wouldn't say 12 out of 10.
Chandler
Or you're like Liam Neeson 12 out of 10.
Lauren
I'm sorry. I would love for you to look at Paul. Pictures of Paul Newman.
Chandler
And he's used Marlon Brando, Warren Beatty.
Lauren
Okay, no. So there's another moment when he's at the Calvin Klein store, you know, and he's pursuing her before she's agreed to a date. And this is when, you know, after she's basically said, like, you can come. You know, ask reception for my number. And so he comes to Calvin Klein. He comes into the showroom where she's working, and he basically is like, what else can I do to see you? And she's like, swipe your credit card. That, like, that's what you do. Like, yeah, exactly. Have you noticed she has, like, a lot of. She has a lot of mouth situations happening? Like, she acts with her mouth in, like, a very overt way. That, again, I just find to be extremely intimidating, and I just could have never moved my mouth like that.
Chandler
No. Enroll me in an acting class because I would like to experience what that. What that's like.
Lauren
You never will. You'll never experience it, and I never will either, because it's not natural. No, I don't think any girl has that much game or is. I mean, I'm sure. Sure there's someone out there, but there's.
Chandler
Somebody, you know, in some type of situation. No, I agree with you that, like, she does have a ton of game. And it's honestly, like, it is unbelievable to watch. But, yeah, I mean, maybe that's what makes the show so good, is that it's like she's kind of like a character I feel like we. We don't see super often now in, like, shows. Like, I feel like we see, like, quirky girl. Quirky, lovable. You know, Like, I feel like she's kind of like a type of character that's not, like, in a lot of films anymore or, like, tv.
Lauren
I really need Carol Rodzwill to weigh in because I just need to know if this is how she behaved with men, and this is what she was.
Chandler
Like in all seriousness, like, rip. Such a. You know, such a tragic, like, fate for these people. I don't think anyone's going to weigh in on whether or not she had that much game. Someone's gonna be like, well, actually, she didn't have that much game. Like, I knew her in real life. I think it's just like, let's just let her memory be that she was this incredibly stunning, captivating minx.
Lauren
I think enough time has passed and I would love to know if this is true. Okay. Or if this is a fantasy that has been created.
Chandler
Okay. Moving on, though, to another part of it, if I may.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
What do you think about, like, any other parts of the. What do you think about, like, the casting for his sister and like, his mom, Jackie O? Like, any other thoughts there?
Lauren
I wish Jackie O had a little more vibe. I have such an attachment to Jackie O as a fashion icon and figure in our history. And so it a little bit bums me out that her entire presence seems to be that of, like, suffocating mother.
Chandler
Yeah.
Lauren
But anyway, no, I find it to be really, really, really fun. It's fun to see New York in that era. It's fun to see people in that era. One thing that I love about this show is that no one has a fake looking face. So. So there's no visible filler in sight. Everyone looks so natural. And so it doesn't take me out of the moment. Like, I swear I've seen some period films in recent days where the lead.
Chandler
Actress has very visible lip filler.
Lauren
And it just. It really makes it difficult to get into the story. And I just feel like Ryan Murphy, they. The way that they cast everyone and the aesthetic discipline, it keeps you in the moment in a really nice way.
Chandler
Yeah, I agree. Actually, Ben commented on that. Ben was like, no one looks like they've had, like, plastic surgery. Do you know the woman who plays Carolyn Kennedy, Caroline Kennedy, is Meryl Streep's daughter. You know that?
Lauren
You know what is so crazy is I've kept looking at her and being like, that's Meryl Streep. Like, that is Meryl Streep. And then I did not know that. That's wild.
Chandler
Oh, you didn't. You didn't even look it up. So this.
Lauren
No.
Chandler
So excited that I could tell you that. Yeah.
Lauren
But I was like, she needs to play young Meryl Streep because that is Meryl Streep. Insane.
Chandler
I've actually seen her in real life a couple of times. I feel like she's a celebrity I've seen around. Anyway, I'm loving the show. I cannot wait for the next episode. And because you haven't seen episodes two and three, I'm not going to get into Daryl Hannah. But, yeah, maybe. Maybe you can watch the episodes two and three. We can chat about it for.
Lauren
Yeah. On premium. The other thing I want to say about this show is I feel like when it comes to JFK Jr. And Carolyn Bessette, I personally just had their photos in my head. I didn't really have their love story. I knew that she was a partier and that they were on the rocks when they, you know, did tragically pass. But I, I didn't really have like their interpersonal romance narrative in my brain. And so it's really fun to see it portrayed. Like, I didn't know how much I needed this.
Chandler
I know. No, I completely agree. I guess too, there's not a lot of videos with her voice in it, I guess that the public has. She never really did interviews or anything like that because I kind of wanted to look up to see how. What she sounded like.
Lauren
Yeah, I know.
Chandler
There's just obviously a very, like, deep fascination there. But yeah, everyone go watch it. I mean, I, I'm not necessarily a fan of all Ryan Murphy's work, but this is, this is great. This is like tickling me in the best way.
Lauren
Okay. Speaking of work that could tickle you in the best way, I do think we need to talk about the OP Light music video because we, we are remiss, Chandler, for not getting it.
Chandler

Lauren
I Woke up to 30 messages, all of them with invisible ink in our group chat about this music video. And I don't think it would be hyperbole to say that some members of our chat may be on the brink of losing their Taylor testimony.
Chandler
Well, we can't speak for everybody, but like, this was not a testimony strengthening music video.
Lauren
No. Okay, so this music video I feel like people are very disappointed by in our group chat. I went online, everyone seems to love it. So I am a little panicked to give this take because, you know, I do feel like the Swifties can come after you.
Chandler
I completely agree, which is why I have my statement already prepared.
Lauren
Oh, great. Please read it. Please, please, please.
Chandler
Okay. She is having fun. And I love that she is having fun.
Lauren
That's it. That's the statement. That's it. Okay. Gorgeous. Thank you so much, Chandler. That really painted a picture for everyone as to where you stand.
Chandler
That's. That is all I can say about this publicly at this time.
Lauren
I want to say that this is not giving me the dark night of the Swifty Soul. And I didn't have that written down. I just, you know, just came to me.
Chandler
Okay, what does that mean exactly?
Lauren
I am not contending with this music video in my fandom because I never really cared about her music videos to begin with. It was always about the music to me, never her visual talents. The music videos have always generally, I would say, presented some challenges. Like if you remember the all too well 10 minute version video, there have been quite a few videos that have not slapped. And so the videos don't really matter to me, truly. And whether one is bad or good, it's not going to greatly impact my identity as a Taylor Swift fan. So it's. It's fine. It is what it is. I can tell you a fact that I'm taking deep solace.
Chandler
Well.
Lauren
Okay.
Chandler
Well, now I feel like I need a response, and I'm not going to restate my statement, even though that is really the only thing I want to say comfortably about this. But I do want to say, I do have, I guess, a few more thoughts about the music video before you move on.
Lauren
Okay. Please share.
Chandler
Unfortunately, this music video has made me like the song less.
Lauren
Yeah, same.
Chandler
And that has never happened to me before with a music video that you know of hers. Even though I don't love all of hers like that. That has never happened to me personally.
Lauren
Here's the problem.
Chandler
So that's what I'm like. That's what I'm contending with personally. That's the dark night of the soul that I am currently in.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
I think. Here's the issue.
Lauren
When you have a song that itself is maybe a tiny bit corny. Okay, bleep.
Chandler
Can we BLEEP that?
Lauren
You can't have a corny music video. You got to get the song out of the cornfield.
Chandler
Yes.
Lauren
And you got to make it cooler with the video. And I think this is the problem. Taylor right now is in her lover era 2.0. Okay? This is her Lover album to Trappy. Is her in love music always the best. No, it's not. Okay. But we got some fun jams out of Lover the album. We got some fun jams out of Life of a Showgirl. And I guarantee you, good things are on the horizon. There's no way the honeymoon phase is lasting forever. So, everyone, it's fine.
Amanda
Fine.
Lauren
It's going to be completely fine.
Chandler
Something I thought about is that this is Travis's song, Right. This song is about him.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
Can you imagine if this is the music video representation of your song?
Lauren
Well, and you as a couple.
Chandler
Yes.
Lauren
And yeah, like, you make yourselves look so dorky.
Chandler
Maybe she sees, like, the fate of Ophelia also as that. I mean, I guess it is too, but yeah, it's really not my style. But once again, I love that she's having fun.
Lauren
Like, I just love the idea of being like, you know what I want to do? I want to portray us as if, you know, we have been single for 30 years and we found each other on match.com. okay. We were the last option on Earth. That's about the level of, like, game and coolness. I want people to, you know, think we had by watching this video.
Chandler
And it's not even about. To me, it's not even about, like, Opalite. What I thought it was kind of. I don't know, I just kind of imagine more of a psychedelic turquoise music video.
Lauren
Yeah. And I. I also. I felt like the metaphors were so literal and, like, painfully literal. And I just don't think at this point, Joe Allen needs to be painted as a. Basically a big rock. A big, just, you know, piece of dead weight Chan. And then Kayla needs to be portrayed as a cactus. It's just a little much.
Chandler
You're saying that literally the objects that they are holding in the music video, her and Ed Helms are, like, representations of their exes.
Lauren
This is literally where you are, like. This is like you being, like, the dows of 50,000.
Chandler
Okay.
Lauren
That's how delusional and psycho you sound right now. Do it.
Chandler
I don't know. That's just like, that. That's crazy to me if that's true. If that was, like, an intentional choice, that's crazy.
Lauren
This is you being, like, on part of the press team when they ask if they're going to arrest any of the men who were part of, like, on the list, who, you know, spit it out to the women. I forget what the exact phrase was. Or, like, are you going to arrest any men who sexually assaulted the women and girls? Is what the. What the reporter asked, and he said, I disagree with that. You know, I. I don't even know what that means. He said, I don't even know what that means. That is you right now.
Chandler
It's not funny, but I am just laughing at this the way I'm being. The way I'm being challenged.
Lauren
You're Pam Bondi for the Opalite music video.
Chandler
Just because I don't totally find that the rock is 100% a representation of Joe Alwyn and the cactus is 100% a representation of Travis's ex girlfriend. So, you guys, this is why you didn't want our thoughts on this. You shouldn't have asked and you didn't want him.
Lauren
Chandler, she literally says he's in a relationship with a cactus and getting hurt every day. Those are her words in the extended version. Oh, my gosh. Which I guess you, you know, didn't watch.
Chandler
I watched some of it, but honestly, it was. I started to watch some of the behind the scenes, but it was. It was hurting my testimony, so I turned it off.
Lauren
And then she says no polite. So I guess it's like the. The anti opalite. She says no polite is for people who want to choose to be unhealed. So she's basically saying Maddie and Joe and Kayla all choose to be unhealed. And she says opalite is for people who want to choose a path that serves them. It's heavy handed. It is.
Chandler
Guys, I'll say it again. You did not want our thoughts on this, but we. We gave them nonetheless.
Lauren
So we did.
Chandler
We didn't. And it's not even just for the elites. So anyway, we'll see. We'll see if we still have a podcast next week.
Lauren
Seriously, we'll see.
Chandler
We'll see. Okay.
Lauren
Okay, let's get into other matters. There's truly a lot to get into.
Chandler
I know there is. What. What do you want to discuss next?
Lauren
Okay, well, let's just quickly talk about Apple Martin weighing in on the rumors and nastiness online that she was expelled for bullying. Yes. So there's been a narrative out there that Apple Martin that she and her ragtag team of NEPA lady friends. I actually don't know if it was her with other people, but I assume it was. The rumor is that she bullied someone, I believe, for something really, actually shallow too. Okay.
Chandler
But you don't have any information? Oh, yeah.
Lauren
Basically her and her friends had a Cartier club and this girl wasn't in it. This is literally hearsay from the Internet. And the rumor was that she was expelled from Harvard Westlake. Okay. For bullying. And that the girl that she bullied was taken to a place on the mental brink. That was the rumor online.
Chandler
Yes.
Lauren
So someone must have commented alluding to this rumor on her Instagram because she responded and she said hi. I didn't want to respond, but this narrative is completely false and has gotten so out of hand. I have never been expelled from any school, especially not for bullying anyone. I completely understand people not liking me and that is okay. The Internet is a place where people can share their opinions. But this rumor is completely untrue. I'm not the type of person and anyone who is close to me knows.
Chandler
That she's spoken out. I'm kind of shocked that she, like, addressed this head on, basically.
Lauren
Yeah, I am shocked as well. And someone. So someone wrote in and they said, any expensive private school is going to give you the option to leave of your own accord rather than getting, quote, kicked out and it's not called expulsion when it's from a private school. They phrase it as not inviting the student to return. So she's lying by omission. Here is what someone said. So another person DM'd, and they say, I know for a fact she was expelled for bullying and had to move to Crossroads in her last year.
Amanda
Technically, she was probably allowed to leave.
Lauren
Rather than getting officially expelled. But then a third person DM'd, and they said she lives in Nashville, goes to Vanderbilt, and she comes to a bar my best friend works at, and everyone loves her. She's great and normal.
Chandler
Well, you can be great and normal and also have, like, you know, done something horrible as a teenager.
Lauren
Yeah, exactly. Like Apple Martin could be lovely now and been a total asshole as a senior in high school. Two truths can be true at once.
Chandler
So true. So true.
Lauren
The truth of two truths today. I apologize.
Chandler
Whatever the truth. So that's a throwback. Yeah. I don't think we'll ever know truly what happened. I'm sure that. I'm sure that something did happen. I think I am skeptical. Like, maybe it wasn't. Maybe it wasn't the situation that we heard that, you know, the hearsay situation. I do also believe that bullying is a spectrum. And, you know, there is awful, awful bullying, and then there's also mean girl behavior that is just common for that age. That is not excusable, but it's just like something that all teens do. I do think it is pretty crazy for her to say, I was not expelled. I. I think that almost like, leads me to believe this, that she says, like, I was not. I don't know. You're right.
Lauren
It's like such an interesting thing to say. I was not expelled from any school, especially not for bullying anyone. It's like she's doubling down on this. Almost like the semantics. It's not really about the exact narrative. It's really just about whether she was expelled.
Chandler
Yeah. And I do know that, like, you know in Amy Odell's book about Gwyneth, like, Gwyneth was a mean girl at Spence.
Lauren
I mean, was she, though? Because when I read it, I did not get that impression. It just seemed like she was self. It just seemed like she was, like, confident and not necessarily that bothered by rules, but it didn't seem like she was potentially mean.
Chandler
I don't know, maybe there were just classmates who interpreted that as mean. All. All I'm saying is I think people conflate sometimes Apple with. With Gwyneth and just kind of Ascribe this, like, terrible Nepo baby narrative onto her, especially after, like, that video of her at that debutante ball or whatever, you know? You know what? If you're. If you. If you have mean girl rumors, you know, I just skip the debutante shit. I just think that's not a good look. I think you should just kind of like, just do something else. The. The. The debutante ball is just really. It's almost like part of the Disneyland narrator or the Disney narrative about a mean girl. Yeah.
Lauren
And I also think that her online presence does not help this at all either. Like, she just comes across as kind of odious online. And every video I've seen of her, she's just seemed, like, extremely obnoxious. And I don't know. I don't know if it's just her aesthetic or if it's just me. I'm just jealous. I'm sure it's part of it, but that's where I'm at.
Chandler
I think I'm just, like, I'm. I'm having a moment of empathy and sympathy for her because maybe I just was, you know, researching this and saying just terrible comments about her. There's so much ire for Gwyneth that I feel like is then passed on to her unfairly, in my opinion, to some degree.
Lauren
See, Gwyneth just comes across as so much more likable to me.
Chandler
Yeah, but. But the people who hate Gwyneth and who are always going to hate her, I think also are always going to hate Apple. And she's just also like a literal teenage girl, basically. She's still, you know, so young. I don't know. I don't know why. I'm just. I'm being her defense attorney right now.
Lauren
No, I like it.
Chandler
I think I also saw a video where she posted recently about how she had really bad acne. I don't know. And if you've ever had really bad acne, like, your heart goes out to them. Yes. Someone who had bad acne, I'm like, okay.
Lauren
You know, she's also had, like, struggles. She's human.
Chandler
She's human. She's human. And I. I hope that this story is really not true. And if it is true, I hope she's, like, really done some intensive therapy and made amends, but absolutely. Probably not really.
Lauren
Quick update in the Nancy Guthrie kidnapping. Moving on from Apple. Martin. The update is really. There's no update, Chandler. So we're two weeks into this, and this is the big headline today. Someone knows who kidnapped Nancy Guthrie.
Chandler
According to Authorities.
Lauren
So I saw that, and I was like, oh, my gosh.
Chandler
What?
Lauren
They're onto something. Yeah, someone knows who kidnapped Nancy Guthrie. That's what authorities said. You ready for the quote? This is according to Chris Nanos, the sheriff of Pima County. I believe somebody out there knows who this is. I believe somebody out there can look at that video and go, I know exactly who that is. And that's what our plea is to our community. If you go back in history, look at cases like the Unabomber, they were found out because somebody in the community, Somebody, a family member, a neighbor called and said, I think I know who did this. So they're now literally just like, hey, can everyone look at the video? That's where we're out in this investigation.
Chandler
I mean, we were there almost a week ago when this video first came out, where they were like, can everyone look at this video and see if, you know, you notice anything?
Lauren
So that's even worse. We've gone nowhere in a week.
Chandler
I mean, I think they found a glove, and that glove had DNA on it that they were able to process. But, yeah, we. We are no closer, it seems, to finding out who did this and to, you know, bringing justice.
Lauren
It's amazing. They had DNA on the glove, so that is good. But they said that doesn't match anyone in the national database, so it's not exactly helping ATM at the moment. I don't know why I needed to.
Chandler
Give an acronym, but you are always using new acronyms like the gfl. Like, no one amount. No one else in my life uses gfl. No one else in my life uses, like, lilas.
Lauren
I love how you lilas.
Chandler
And you also. Yeah. The ATM is the only one that you. You're the only person who uses that, too.
Lauren
Well, Chandler, atm, I'd like to move on.
Chandler
Okay, well, what do you want to talk about next? You want to talk about Rumer Willis?
Lauren
Yeah, let's talk about her.
Chandler
Okay, so Bruce Willis and Demi Moore's daughter, Rumer Willis insisted. Okay, everybody, via Instagram, that she is not receiving any financial help from her parents while she's raising her daughter Louetta, and that, you know, she's a single mom and she has her hands full. And she also said that she works four jobs. Okay.
Lauren
Yeah. She posted a video of herself, and it says, single moms be like. And then it's a. You know, she's in the video, and then around her are all these things that single moms have on their minds. So, like, there's laundry, meal prepping, bath Time, songwriting, songwriting, um, journaling, guitar practice, working out, play dates, hanging out with friends, planning after school activities, sleep, drinking water, dating, filming content, taking dogs for a walk. So she got blasted in the comments, I think, with a lot of people, you know, saying she's an EPO baby who probably gets money from her parents, and she has no idea what it's like to be a single mom. I'm the wrong person to ask to pile on Rumor Willis this week. Okay. I did have a thought when lacroix was delivered at my driveway as I was bringing it in that this was too much to bear.
Chandler
Like, it just felt like too, like.
Lauren
Too much work in, like a breathless way, like, breathtakingly crushing, bringing in all that Roy. And so I. I'm with Rumor. And honestly, I actually think modern life, even though it's so much easier than pre modern life, historic life, life as.
Chandler
A hunter, gatherer, out of your depth. You're. You're starting to become out of your depth. You're getting out of your depth.
Lauren
I don't care if we didn't used to have dishwashers or laundry machines. I don't know how. I don't know how humans of yesteryear did it, but I don't care to know because it's still exhausting. It's still exhausting staying on top of all of that and cooking, cleaning, also needing to make money in the modern economy. It's too much for anyone. And I don't care if it's a first world problem. I'm sorry. I'm just telling everyone my truth.
Chandler
Yeah, I disagree here. I'm sure she's busy and I'm sure she's tired.
Lauren
Okay.
Chandler
I think she lost me when the thing that was on her list, her to do list, as she calls it, was journaling. Okay, if your to do list is bogged down with journaling, like, you're losing people on in the sympathy journey.
Lauren
Guitar practice is also not exactly helping.
Chandler
Like, even guitar practice, that could be like, with her kid or something.
Lauren
Yeah, journaling.
Chandler
Journaling's the first thing to go, even in happy times.
Lauren
Yeah, but I think journaling is like, if you are someone who's wanting to work on yourself and, you know, not just scroll away your life. Journaling is like, what these girls do.
Chandler
I know. I'm just saying, like, you can't complain.
Lauren
About being too busy.
Chandler
Like, being so bogged down and so exhausted from all the time you're trying to find to journal. No, I don't journal. That shit is so embarrassing. I've I've completely given up on it. And I've never been happier.
Amanda
No.
Lauren
And can I tell you, anytime I do go back and read thoughts, I did put pen to paper to immortalize. I'm so sorry I ever did. It's always so embarrassing. It's nothing that anyone should be able to read. Like, thank goodness. Like, I'm so afraid of neuralink.
Chandler
What's neuralink, you weirdo?
Lauren
Okay, well, Chandler, Neuralink is Elon Musk project that essentially allows people to, like, it's a lot.
Chandler
Is it like a black mirror thing?
Lauren
No, it's. It, like, helps people use their brain to communicate with their limbs when they are quadriplegics.
Chandler
Okay, okay, so why are you so afraid of it?
Lauren
I'm afraid of it because there's one where it allows you to, like, think, and then what you think appears on the screen for people who can't talk anymore. And it's like, I don't want what I'm thinking to be able to be seen by other people. Like, it's. It's good that thoughts are just in my brain.
Chandler
I mean, it would just be like a bunch of, like, you know, paranoid scenes about E bikes.
Lauren
That's true. That's true. Okay.
Chandler
Anyway, long story short, neural link.
Lauren
I love how I went to this tangent on neuralink. Journaling.
Chandler
Because you hate journaling.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
I'll wind you. I'll rewind it for you.
Lauren
I'm with rumor. I stand with rumor. I think that all of these seem like things that probably the modern single mom does want to try to do. Have a hobby, learn an instrument, self actualize with a journal. Even though she'll think it's embarrassing later when she reads it back. And it's exhausting. I think it's. It is exhausting. I feel her pain.
Chandler
No doubt she's tired. And honestly, if you're a single mom who's rich, if you're a single mom who's not rich, you're more tired than, I don't know, non single moms. Is that crazy to say? Am I gonna offend people?
Amanda
I don't know.
Lauren
Maybe.
Chandler
Here I go.
Lauren
Yeah, well, I think we should just move on.
Chandler
Motivation comes and goes, but habits are what actually carry you through day in, day out. And when it comes to February. Okay, the New Year's glow has kind of worn off, and I feel like some of my winter routines are starting to wobble. But I've learned that I don't need a full reset. I just need one small habit I can stick to and that is why ag1 works so well for me. Most supplements over complicate things with too many pills and confusing timing. AG1 it just like simplifies your nutrition with your multivitamin, pre and probiotic, superfoods and antioxidants all in one scoop. It's an easy daily reset that fits into real life. Lauren
Do you want to get into the Coldplay? Remember the CEO? Not the CEO. She was, like, the marketing woman.
Chandler
Kristin Cabot. What's her name? Kristin Cabot, the household name.
Lauren
The former HR executive thrust into the public eye last year at a Cold Pig concert, Chandler was spotted enjoying Miami's warm ocean waves in a striking blue bikini over the weekend. This is according to tmz. Mm. I saw this, and I just thought, wow, this woman is truly doing the most to keep her 15 minutes going, because these photos could not be more staged.
Chandler
I just have to know, like, how this went down. These photos are absolutely 100% staged. And now I just want to know the logistics. Did TMZ get, you know, these images sent to their inbox? Is she calling TMZ and saying, you can come get a picture of me. I'm gonna be here. Like, what's the. What's the chain of events? I'm dying to know.
Lauren
According to this article, she is the keynote speaker at a crisis PR convention coming up. I just think this is her new career is like, is crisis PR and what to do if something goes, you know, dreadfully wrong. And she's trying to kind of make lemonade out of lemons or whatever and capitalize on. On this crisis. And this is all to kind of promote, I guess, her brand, because I absolutely believe, in my opinion, that that backgrid, who or whoever, whatever agency took these photos could not care less about Kristin Cabot. I don't think they have any value on the market. So I think that she probably paid one of these agencies to have the photos taken or she just sends the photos. I mean, maybe. Yeah, maybe. Because the way that they're shot, it's literally like the. The photographer is in the water.
Chandler
Yeah. Like, this could have been just like, a friend sending photos.
Lauren
You see the sand behind her. It's not like you see water behind her. With the paparazzi is clearly on the beach or somewhere on dry land. It's like the paparazzi, they're really interested in getting this shot in flattering lighting because they went, you know, they made sure. She was backlit. So everything's in the shadows. That's the. Always the best for a thirst trap.
Chandler
Everyone, I just want to know.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
Could we, like, submit our photos?
Lauren
No, because I think we'd have to pay. I think she. Her team probably paid for the article too, right?
Chandler
Yeah, you got to pay to play. I don't know why I would actually want any bikini photos of me in on tmz. I guess, unless it had been, you know, taken straight from my Instagram grid.
Lauren
It's not a terrible idea to stage some, like, paparazzi bikini shots. Like, we should see how much that would actually cost to submit them. And just like the pop apologist spotted in Tulum.
Chandler
I know. I mean, I just feel like TMZ's gotta have, like, bills to pay. They gotta need to keep the lights on.
Lauren
Maybe we offer it to them because then. Chandler, get this. Imagine, imagine. Just imagine. Somehow your ex sees. It's like, oh, my gosh. Chandler, Chandler Bledsoe.
Chandler
Chandler frolicking around one island.
Lauren
These celebs.
Chandler
Oh, my gosh. Yeah, let's not rule it out.
Lauren
Speaking of someone who is not making her ex very happy. Okay. Who's pouring salt into a wound. Bronwyn Newport is moving right along. So she is dating model BRANDON Good. He's 32, eight years for junior.
Chandler
Source says.
Lauren
They'Ve been seeing each other for a few weeks. It's new, but they're enjoying getting to know one another. Bronwyn is very happy. She also posted a photo of them almost kissing. And she said, look at who is finally back from shooting a big campaign in LA and making Fashion Week worth it. So he came to visit her while she's at Fashion Week. There's also a video of her stepping out of a restaurant. It looks like with Rihanna.
Chandler
Mm.
Lauren
So Bronwyn is living her best life.
Chandler
I also believe this is a PR relationship.
Lauren
Mm.
Chandler
But I'm happy about it. Like, I think this is good for both of their careers. Yeah.
Lauren
I think this is, to me, just doesn't seem like so super transactional and more just seems like a Bachelor Nation relationship where it's good for him to have some sort of notoriety. She obviously finds it. I'm sure he's attracted to her. She's beautiful. You know, he is hot. It's fun for her to be seen with a young hot guy after being, you know, attached to Todd and right for so long. I mean, someone do a wellness check on Todd. I know he's got to be at a very low point like this. It would be not fun for anyone to see.
Chandler
I'm sure he's just, you know, looking at lingerie photos on the iPad or something.
Lauren
He's just in that living room in Salt Lake City that looks like it's, I don't know, like a psychedelic Willy Wonka modern.
Chandler
Literally. It's Floop's house from Spy Kids.
Lauren
Yeah, exactly. And he is just. I don't know. Where was I going with that? He is one.
Chandler
I don't know. I. I mean, maybe he's sipping out of one of the Starbucks mugs that he collects.
Lauren
Oh, no, he's. This is what I was gonna say. He's. He's saying, why. Why did I eat that cherry? It could all be so different. Anyway. Okay, well, speaking of people not having a good time like Todd, Brooks Nader got food poisoning. Chandler on her private jet. Or on a private jet en route to her lavish 29th birthday celebration in Saint Barts. Okay. So on Sunday, Brooks Nader had fans worried when she reshared on Instagram story a photo of her where she could be seen wrapped in a blanket on the floor of her private jet. And it said, food poisoning 1 Brooksie 0. So this is what her sister Sarah Jane had captioned it. So she looked very ill on the PJ from the bad sushi she ate. I guess she was restored to full health and had a gorgeous birthday experience in St. Bart's she probably, you know, felt even more snatched after the food poisoning. Can you say that?
Chandler
The exact same thought, literally. God's timing.
Lauren
Yeah, exactly. No, the only thing that I thought about when I saw this is. Is like, speaking of getting ill on a flight. So when I was in South Africa, a friend who landed was like, my plane. We were two hours into our flight here, and someone got really sick. And the plane turned around.
Chandler
Oh, my gosh.
Amanda
Yeah.
Lauren
And I was like, oh, my gosh. I'm so sorry. You know?
Chandler
Yeah.
Lauren
And this is when I knew this person was a much better person than me. Because they were like, you know, thank goodness the person was okay. And we were, you know, we were just, like, on our way.
Chandler
We.
Lauren
After we got back to New York, it was a couple more hours, and then we were on our way again.
Chandler
I was just like, wow, that is a good person. A much better person than you, for sure. But getting food poisoning on a flight is one of my intrusive thoughts. It's a regular nightmare. I have not. I'm not actually dreaming that, but I think about that all the time. I think about, okay, if I were to get food poisoning literally right this second. I mean, this, you know, 48J.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
Like, and I am. And I am in the bathroom, like, just trying to stay alive. Like, if I'm. I'm holding on for dear life. Like, I just. I think about that all the time. So. Thank God she was on a pj.
Lauren
Getting super sick on a flight is terrible. And I can tell you that I've had that experience firsthand. When I came back from India, I was really unwell and I think I went to the restroom, I don't know, once every two minutes. It felt like, because I had, you know, a certain situation going on. It is horrific. I can tell you firsthand. But, yeah, I just. Can you imagine being two hours into a 16 hour flight and you're going, no, New York. Sorry.
Chandler
I'm sorry.
Lauren
I do have to have a moment of a moment for those people, knowing that that person was okay. Like, there was other suffering occurring. Like, also, all the people that are already xanaxed out, they're three glasses deep, they also got a valium inside them. I don't recommend it. Not a good idea. But a lot of people do it.
Chandler
If somebody's like, actively throwing up on a flight, that's like a biohazard. Like, I, as someone who has been on a flight where there has been throw up, unfortunately, in the.
Lauren
In the.
Chandler
I've never heard of this ether. Like, I had. I was on a flight where somebody threw up, I think multiple times. And you could smell it. And that, Lauren, that now that was hell. Like, being stuck and delayed with travel sucks. But, like, those flight attendants, they do what they can, but it is. It's brutal.
Lauren
Yeah. Yeah.
Chandler
And so I think it's like, it's not safe for them to, like, just allow this person to like, continue to get, you know, sicker and sicker.
Lauren
And I'm not saying that they should have challenges.
Chandler
They should just literally stick them in the galley.
Lauren
You can get help when we get to Cape town. You got 14 hours to go GFL. Oh, my gosh. Okay, well, let's move on from flight travails. Two different kind of tribulations. So we had the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, a new episode grace our screens, and we finally saw Mo sit down with Dorit. Okay, this was, I think, a great. Another great episode.
Chandler
Yes, I loved it. I love seeing the women in the Hamptons. Love seeing the women who stayed in la. Lots to say here. Lots happened.
Lauren
You gotta feel bad for half of the cast when one half of the Cast is hanging out with Donna Karan in the Hamptons. The other half is being forced to do a journal exercise at Amanda's house. Oh, my gosh.
Chandler
I mean, where do you. Where do we want to begin? Because I've. Let's go back to journaling and how I don't believe in it.
Lauren
Erica was so funny when she's like, I should be in the Hamptons right now manifesting billions. Instead, I'm at Kyle's old house at the Money Queen. Matt.
Chandler
All of their comments about the. The welcome mat that said money queen co. Money Queen Co. Was so funny. Like, when. When Boz was like, this is a billboard that says nouveau riche. I have arrived. It was so funny.
Lauren
No Boses absolutely becoming, I would say Amanda's number one hater on the show, and I'm just kind of loving every second of it.
Chandler
I know I'm eating it up.
Lauren
Yeah, she's.
Chandler
Bose is earning her. Her keep. You know, she knows that she needs to kind of, like, moving things along while the other women are out of town. You know, she's like, and would you have invited Dorit if she would have been here?
Lauren
Yes, totally. I feel like Bose is absolutely giving a little bit of, like, Bethany slash Carol energy, like, tycoon vibes from Bethany, but also, like, tell it like it is Carol Bethany vibes, which I like.
Chandler
Yes, Agreed. Okay, let's just talk about the fact that Amanda has them all, you know, sit down and journal something they'd like to manifest. She also gives them a signed copy of her book, which I really thought was pretty tacky.
Lauren
Yeah, yeah. The signed copy was not helping matters.
Chandler
It's just, like, I just don't really want to go over to my friend's house and journal, and I do think what they were saying about, like, having to do it in front of other people, like, feels weird. It's really awkward.
Lauren
It's really, really awkward.
Chandler
Okay, though. Let's get into what they talk about, though, at this little journaling lunch. Basically, you know, Sutton says to Amanda, you know, you just kind of deflect it and. And made it Kyle's problem. And then Kyle and Dorit got into it. You didn't say, like, hey, I had this opinion about, you know, the way you spoke about your marriage. And Amanda is just. She's very taken aback.
Lauren
She says, you're in my home.
Chandler
Don't call me a wimp.
Amanda
I mean, I just feel like when it comes to. First of all, I think Sutton's absolutely right here, and I think that you know, I get if Amanda thinks, well, that's such a nothing burger. Like, it's so obvious that her talking about this on TV is going to be bad for their divorce. So it's not like she's saying something that's so egregious. I just think that it's. It's kind of like making any commentary on the way someone is handling their divorce. It's just not going to be received well, especially it's negative commentary. Like, you just don't talk about certain things like it's too sensitive. You just are supportive. You let people make their decisions, and you don't weigh in critically on their. On how they're handling their divorce.
Chandler
And then maybe you don't double down.
Amanda
Well, especially as a new friend.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
100. Who barely knows, like, the people involved. Seems like Kyle is kind of learning that lesson because she. She's like, you know, dorit just wants a yes man around right now, and I can't really be that.
Lauren
What did you think about that comment?
Amanda
Well, I just think that obviously her and Dorit are just at such a bad place in their relationship that it makes sense to me that she can't just be a yes man to Dorit because she barely likes to read right now.
Lauren
Yeah.
Amanda
So she's just kind of treading water in this relationship. And I think she's just more Team Mauricio slash pk. Like, she sees their side. And I think that this was not a good episode for Dorit because when Dorit sits down with Mauricio, like, moving to that, I found that meeting to really put some holes in Dorit's case against PK that I think are going to be hard for her to patch up.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
Because she basically says, you know, I want him to see the kids. And he says, you know, I've. I've seen text messages, like, where he's asked to see the kids. And she says, well, he's never. He never asked to see the kids.
Amanda
She says, mo, I want him to see the kids. And he has never texted asking to see the kids.
Lauren
Yeah.
Amanda
And Mo says, I've seen your text messages. I've seen him asking for a schedule. I've seen him asking to see the kids. So it's like, okay, well, the text messages exist. He either did or he didn't. One person here is just outright lying. And I think Dorit should have said, dorit, if she was telling the truth, she would have said, show them to me.
Lauren
Really?
Amanda
Because I've never seen him text that once.
Lauren
No, but she didn't.
Amanda
No, she was just like, PK can create a narrative. Like, she goes after PK and, like, this weird, cagey way.
Chandler
Well, then she also brings up the drinking. She's. She kind of has this, like, trump card of, like, well, he, you know, he's drinking again.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
You know, and it's kind of like, well, he can't be trusted at all because he's drinking again.
Lauren
Yeah.
Amanda
And it's like, well, he didn't stop drinking for nothing. He stopped drinking because he had a big drinking problem. And I don't know, there's a part of me that's like, that could be true. I also think it could be true, though. And maybe this is crazy, but I. I think it could be true that some people do take a break from alcohol, and it's really good for their mental health and they feel great, but they didn't actually. They were never alcoholics. And if they decide that that break is over, it doesn't mean that they're.
Lauren
Now going back to alcoholism.
Amanda
And I actually just don't know which camp PK's in.
Chandler
Right. Yeah, I think that a lot. Do you agree? Yeah, I mean, I, I. I never saw PK have crazy alcoholic behavior, I guess.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
I don't know.
Lauren
You know, James Kennedy.
Chandler
Right. Right. I feel like so much of this is really tied up in the money situation that's happening here, and it's like, maybe, like, the kids are being used as, like, a pawn and all of this, where it's like, access to them is being limited because money is not being freed up. I don't know. Like, I just. I don't think this is all about the kids. I think this. A lot of this has to do with, like, the way that, like, the money is being handled in this divorce. That's my kind of, like, my guess.
Amanda
Well, yeah, And I think that kids obviously get used as a pawn when it comes to just, I think, emotionally, like, in a divorce, sadly, this can happen, you know, where one parent kind of isolates the kids from the other parent and makes it difficult to see the kids, or another parent is kind of not a very present parent. And divorce reveals that they don't actually care about being around their kids that much. Like, things happen. I don't know what's going on here. I don't know if Dorit is getting sole custody because PK is in London all the time partying, or if she's going after sole custody because she wants as much child support as possible. I think most likely the former, to be honest.
Chandler
Yeah.
Amanda
To be honest, I really was. I don't know why acronyms are crucial to me today, but I. I kind of think the. The former just given the fact that PK was always traveling, even in their marriage, and he talked about. What a phenomenal present. Mom. She.
Lauren
She didn't even want them to go to school.
Amanda
She wanted them to be homeschooled.
Chandler
Yeah.
Amanda
That's not the vibes of a mom who's, like, checked out.
Chandler
I agree. So I agree. One last thing here about the Dorit and Kyle thing.
Amanda
Yeah.
Chandler
They have a moment where they're looking across from each other at the table and they're laughing, and they're like, we've. It's like we've never been out before. We're loving this, like, Hampton's night. And it was like. It was kind of sad because I was just like, these two women know how to be, like, great friends and, like, know how to have a great time together. And it makes me sad that they're in this place. I mean.
Lauren
Two thoughts.
Amanda
One, it was very sad seeing, like, the montage of them having great times. And I do hope they can get back to it, because they really were great friends. And I don't know, there's just something about seeing, like, female besties in their 40s and 50s.
Lauren
It's just, like, fun to watch.
Amanda
And it was heartwarming.
Lauren
I don't know.
Amanda
Like, that chapter of life just seems so, like, you can relate on such a deeper level, I feel like, than maybe in your 20s and 30s having been through more life. I don't know. I loved seeing them pal around two. I just, like, I need to know Dorit's. Whoever she goes to is, like, truly.
Lauren
Has the magic potion because.
Amanda
Wow.
Chandler
What do you mean? Like, her.
Lauren
Like, her glow up has been spectacular.
Chandler
I know. I know.
Amanda
It should be studied, actually.
Chandler
She's. Yeah, she's beyond.
Amanda
I thought it was so funny when Rachel was going on a rant about Roger, and she, like, cloaked it under the guise of.
Lauren
There's an epidemic of insecure men between.
Amanda
40 and 55 who, because they're married.
Lauren
To someone who is successful and they're.
Amanda
Not where they want to be at in life. Maybe it's in a money perspective or some type of success. And, you know, these men, you look at them and you think, you're not who I fell in love with for the first 25 years of life together. I see through you, and I don't respect you anymore, Dick.
Lauren
Okay.
Amanda
And then Kyle's like she's speaking generally, she's speaking about this in general, this.
Lauren
Epidemic, not about anyone specifically.
Chandler
It was so good.
Lauren
Oh, so really so good.
Amanda
Yeah. Loving the season.
Chandler
Loving it. I mean the mid season trailer too. Like we've, we've got a lot more in store.
Lauren
Yeah, yeah.
Amanda
Cannot wait. And I honestly, I love the entire cast. Amanda, she provides an amazing foil. She really brings out the best in.
Lauren
A lot of these cast members.
Amanda
She brings out their wit.
Lauren
She's just like a perfect person for.
Amanda
Them to roll their eyes at and react to. And it's so much more interesting than, honestly, like I will say I'm not, I am not missing like previous dramas or certain cast members. Like, I think this is a good cast.
Chandler
It's a perfect cast in my opinion. And I, I wonder if Amanda will rejoin because, and I'm just curious to see what happens with her throughout the season because it's like we can't just bash on her for the whole season. You know, like things need to happen. I want to see, like, I want to see some character development there.
Lauren
Yeah, I, I do too.
Amanda
Well, Chandler, I do think that you.
Lauren
Should, you should remember as you're freezing.
Amanda
In New York City, you know that it's because you didn't manifest a three story house in Malibu with dolphins swimming in the background. Just remember that.
Chandler
Lauren, I like avoided bringing that up because I'm just like, I feel like I'm hating on Amanda so much. She's like, when I was a kid I had a Barbie book, a Malibu Barbie book. And it's not lost on me that Barbie had three story house where she could see the dolphins in a convertible. And then she like gets choked up and she's like. And so when I was living in Malibu and I realized that I could see the dolphins from my house, like I, I'm doing a terrible job of retelling it because it.
Amanda
Yeah, girl.
Lauren
I think that it works so well.
Amanda
On the show because it's so entertaining to watch and to kind of hate.
Lauren
But imagine being at dinner with this.
Amanda
And she's like, she launches into the speech about how her house in Malibu was manifested.
Lauren
Yeah, shut up.
Chandler
Literally like, girl, the world is like on fire. I don't know. It's just like that I had a moment literally while I was watching that where I was just like, these women live in a different reality.
Amanda
I mean, Amanda does, that's for sure. But she manifested it so. And you know when you're freezing, that was clearly your manifestation.
Chandler
I manifested this.
Lauren
Exactly.
Amanda
You manifested this February in. In Brooklyn Hellscape. You're. You're living in.
Chandler
Oh my gosh. Okay. Well everyone, thank you for listening. Thank you for being a pop apologist. We love you and we will be back with another episode on Friday for global elites.
Lauren
Love you guys so much.
Amanda
Thanks for listening.
Lauren
Bye Bye.
