Okay, I must admit, I'm such a procrastinator when it comes to holiday gifting. So if you're anything like me and tend to leave Mother's Day shopping until the very last minute, I have amazing news. Macy's bouquet of deals is happening right now and new deals are dropping every single day. We're talking KitchenAid, Lancome, Prada Hotel collection and more. So if you've been putting it off because you don't know what to get, this is actually a very good place to start. What I like is that it doesn't have to be some huge splurge to still feel thoughtful. They have a ton of great gifts under $50, which is perfect if you're shopping for multiple moms, mother in laws, grandmas, or just trying to stay under budget. And while you're shopping, don't skip Macy's backstage. The store within a store that feels like the ultimate treasure hunt. They have fun finds under $25, making it a great stop for thoughtful add ons, budget friendly gifts or something for yourself. Shop now in stores or online@macy's.com. i sold my car in Carvana last night. Well, that's cool. No, you don't understand.
Chandler
It went perfectly.
Lauren
Real offer down to the penny. They're picking it up tomorrow. Nothing went wrong. So what's the problem? That is the problem. Nothing in my life goes as smoothly. I'm waiting for the catch. Maybe there's no catch. That's exactly what a catch would want me to think. Wow.
Chandler
You need to relax. I need a knock on wood.
Lauren
Do we have. What is this?
Chandler
Table wood? I think it's laminate.
Lauren
Okay. Yeah, that's good. That's close enough. Car selling without a catch.
Chandler
Sell your car today on car.
Lauren
Funny. Pickup fees may apply.
Chandler

We are gathered here today with the pop apologist Chandler. Hello.
Chandler
Hello. Back together in the studio.
Lauren
We absolutely are. It is a very gorgeous day here in Williamsburg, and as I sip this clear protein by Clinton Police, I just must tell everyone that this is a common occurrence in my abode. I. I absolutely love these. Can you attest to how much they appear within my dwelling.
Chandler
You guys, if I were to go around Lauren's apartment right now, no doubt I would find three of them discarded either in her bathtub or in between her couch cushions.
Lauren
Okay, wait, wait. This is not the case.
Chandler
I've seen them in your bathtub before.
Lauren
I would say maybe there's potentially an errant can. Definitely one somewhere in the apartment. And that is because it's a frequent. It's a frequent matter that I do.
Chandler
Yeah, it is.
Lauren
You are.
Chandler
You love these. Also. I did try yours for the first time because I'd never tried that flavor before. Yeah, it's amazing.
Lauren
Yeah, the candy crown apple is really good. So everyone. I drink them a lot. I promise you. There's only one errant can in my apartment. But they do. They do show up because it's such a, such a common occurrence. What's amazing about them is they have 20 grams of clean grass fed whey protein for 90 calories. Okay. I love to grab one from the fridge. Get that daily dose of protein without needing to make a blender dirty or mess up your kitchen.
Chandler
Right? But if you are in the mood to make a full smoothie, Clean Simple Eats has amazing protein powders.
Lauren
Go to cleansimpleats.com, use code POPAPOLOGIST10 for 10% off your order. Okay, well, welcome to the show, everyone. Can I just say, the biggest show of all over the past 18 months has come to a conclusion.
Chandler
When you called me yesterday, I was in the middle of midtown. I was kind of in the middle of a frantic errand. And the tenor of your voice was so, like, it was so high pitched with what you were about to share. I thought something terrible had happened. You were like, chandler, I was like, what? What?
Lauren
What? I was frantic. I remember you were frantic.
Chandler
And then. And then she goes, they settled. And.
Lauren
And we have a pending legal matter. Sadly, we've had two actually in the past little bit. And so, yeah, can't say much. But anyway, the second one is pending. And so Chandler thought I was referring to that.
Chandler
And I was like, yeah, I was hoping, like, you know, we were kind of already, you know, on our way there.
Lauren
You're like, we're not actually stressed about this one kind of at all.
Chandler
Yeah.
Lauren
And I was like, not us. Blake and Justin.
Chandler
Like, I would know that they instantly was. Was Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni.
Lauren
I think you're a little checked out of this case because to many of us, absolutely, that would be a justified assumption based on that pronoun.
Chandler
Well, yeah, it's like. Like with God. Like when it's the capital G or like capital he. You know, it's like God.
Lauren
Anyway, you guys, back to the matter at hand. Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni just weeks before trial or a week before trial? Two weeks. Two weeks.
Chandler
Two weeks.
Lauren
Two weeks before trial. They have officially settled. Let me read the statement.
Chandler
I think we should all do a collective exhale. I'm going to lead everyone through a collective exhale right now. Just, just. We have been in this case, mired in this case for so long.
Lauren
It's over. It is absolutely over. And this is what their prospective legal teams have released. They say the end product, the movie, It Ends With Us, is a source of pride to all of us who work to bring it to life. Raising awareness and making a meaningful impact in the lives of domestic violence survivors and all survivors is a goal that we stand behind. We acknowledge the process presented challenges and recognized concerns raised by Ms. Lively deserve to be heard. That's a very key sentence. We remain firmly committed to workplaces free of improprieties and unproductive environments. It is our sincere hope that this brings closure and allows all involved to move forward constructively and in peace, including a respectful environment online.
Chandler
That's us.
Lauren
That is absolutely us. They're telling us to, you know, put a pin in it.
Chandler
Yeah. Literally.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
Put a lid on it. Clip, clip. So they're trying to tie a bow on everything and say, at the end of the day, we brought about change.
Lauren
Well, I think that basically she just folded. Right. So.
Chandler
Well, yeah, I'm just talking about what the statement says.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
Because this is from both of their teams. Right.
Lauren
And they were obviously, if they were going to settle, they were going to release a joint statement. So my kind of zoom out take is that she absolutely folded. She never intended to go to trial. I think that especially when 10 of her 13 charges were dropped.
Chandler
Yeah.
Lauren
And she was filled with. Found to basically not be able to meet the standard of evidence for them. And also, Justin Baldoni was no longer really part of this lawsuit or a party to it. The stakes really lowered for her in terms of ability to win, but the stakes were so high in her ability to lose, especially in the court of public opinion, even further than she already has.
Chandler
And to have it all play out across a trial. Yeah.
Lauren
Well, to have to actually take the stand and testify under oath, you know, where she. She can't really hide. She has to actually go on the record just to be questioned. I don't think that she was really ever going to let that happen. Especially when the case was basically already, like, already decided by Judge Lehman.
Chandler
I mean, I do want to say, though, that, you know, in her Instagram carousel from a few weeks ago, you know, when the judge threw out 10 of the 13 claims, she said, I look forward to, like, my day in court.
Lauren
Well, of course she did. And that is just bullshit. That is complete bullshit.
Chandler
Why would you say that that is such a dumb thing to put in writing if you know you're just gonna settle?
Lauren
I think you put that in writing. Cause you're bluffing, right? You're trying to get the best outcome for that settlement.
Chandler
And we don't know how much it was settled for.
Lauren
No, we. $0. No money was exchanged.
Chandler
Oh, my gosh.
Lauren
Yeah. So wait, so where did you see that? It was just. I saw it on the Internet.
Chandler
Wow. Oh, my gosh.
Lauren
Where is that?
Chandler
Okay, I. I feel being talked about enough.
Lauren
Yeah. $0 were exchanged.
Chandler
I just sort of assumed that we weren't hearing about the money amount because it was confidential or something.
Lauren
Incorrect. No. So the fact that she's suing him and then she settles for $0, I mean, what is that, except for folding? She might as well have withdrawn her lawsuit. And I think that, to me, it is. It is such kind of a slap in the face to all the women she says she was going to trial to stand up for. Because let me just consider this, okay? We have two other blondes who have come before her, okay? And you know what they've decided. I'm gonna go to trial. I'm gonna take the stand just for the sake of my principles. That is Gwyneth Paltrow and Taylor Swift, okay?
Chandler
Two other blondes who've really forged the path.
Lauren
Let us not forget Gwyneth and Taylor. That is my charge, everyone today. And I personally feel that they went to court because they knew they were in the right. And the fact that she decided to just fold in the final hour and has dragged him through this for the past, like, year and a half, to me, it's like she knew she was in the wrong. Just thing I have to say, this was not out of principle. This was out of, like, retribution. This was trying to drag him through the mind.
Chandler
Right? Because there was no. Like, there wasn't a leg to stand on.
Lauren
Exactly.
Chandler
There wasn't enough of a leg to stand on. And she should have realized that from the beginning. I don't know if her legal counsel was telling her that they were, you know, that they were able to do More than they actually could do. I feel like she was getting bad advice. Or maybe she was just, like, ignoring all advice and continuing to charge ahead.
Lauren
A mystery will ponder.
Chandler
I just also think about what a waste of resources. What a complete and total waste of just, like. I don't know, just. They're like, actual, real injustices.
Lauren
I have heard people say that they're both unhirable now. Yeah. And so not only a waste of resources, but just kind of a waste of their own efforts and talents, and especially Justin Baldoni's. I would actually hazard a guess, though, that he is infinitely hireable because I think that the public is so behind him. Like, his next project. People are really gonna wanna support.
Chandler
I completely agree. I think people are going to be excited for Justin Baldoni to turn the. Yes. Like. And to conclude this chapter, what I don't think is that people are going to be, like, excited for Blake to do something next. I think people are still fully out on her.
Lauren
Yeah. Because she was supposed to be standing up for victims of sexual harassment in the workplace. Right. That was her. That was what she was doing this for.
Chandler
This was the whole point.
Lauren
Yeah. And she essentially has decided that that is not going to be an exercise worthy of her time. Yeah.
Chandler
I mean, I. I just also think that it was totally calculated that this came out yesterday, that she went to the Met Gala.
Lauren
Exactly. Like, you're saying that. People are going to be so excited for Justin to turn the page. Blake literally turned the page that afternoon and got in the glam chat.
Chandler
Because I think she's like, okay, like, I'm. I'm ready to be received back by the public.
Lauren
I think it was very important for her to go. To go and to basically be like,
Chandler
I'm back and I'm fine.
Lauren
Like, I'm back, bitch. You're never getting rid of me. I'm part of the establishment. I'm part of the upper elite echelons of society and culture. I will show up at the Met Gala. Like, get used to it.
Chandler
I mean, I do wonder if that will. If that could work. If she does just continue to pretend like nothing happened. Like, if the. If the public opinion, like, will change versus if she were to just, like, go live somewhere quietly and then try to return.
Lauren
I mean, I think time will tell. We'll talk about differing PR strategies and people kind of trying to turn the page. Like, Taylor, Frankie, Paul. She's taken a different strategy.
Chandler
I just. I think about how, like, Johnny Depp was, like, after the Amber Heard trial. I just remember he was like, in some Dior campaign, massive campaign. And it's kind of one of those things where, Okay, I guess, like, certain brands are ready to embrace him again.
Lauren
But Johnny Depp won in the court of public opinion, and Amber Heard had to literally, like, flee the country.
Chandler
I agree. I agree. I'm just saying, after your name has been soiled in some way by a big, like, scandal like this, I don't know. I'm just. I'm curious to see how this all unfolds and if Blake will be quiet, because I don't think she will.
Lauren
No, she will not go gently into that good night. And so everyone get used to it. She's. She's sticking around. You know what I want to see?
Chandler
I mean, do you have any thoughts about her dress?
Lauren
So it was archival Versace, I believe.
Chandler
Okay.
Lauren
To me, it looked like something out of a Lisa Frank animation. Like a Princess Polly. Like a.
Chandler
Like, it was giving unicorn throw up.
Lauren
Yeah, it was giving unicorn throw up in thread form. And I personally just find her style to be so bad. And this was no exception. So.
Chandler
Yeah, it's unfortunate. I mean, there were a lot of letdowns at the Met Gala last night. It's not really our area of expertise, by any means. Correct.
Lauren
Couture fashion is certainly not.
Chandler
Yeah, I. I kind of actually bricked my phone as all the Met Gala coverage started rolling, because I was like, I really don't care. Like, I know it's our. Our job to care about celebrities, and I do, but the Met Gala is just kind of like.
Lauren
I don't know.
Chandler
It doesn't. I can't get it up.
Lauren
Okay, well, fair. I think that the Met Gala has obviously changed so much, and it used to be, I think, a little bit more glamorous and exciting, but, like, with all awards shows, really, attention is down and people. Ratings are down. People care less about the Oscars.
Chandler
I almost wish it was, like, back on TV or something where you weren't. I don't know. Where you kind of only had one way to access it, and it can be more of a moment. But now it's like you're seeing the Instagram reel of them in the hotel before they get to the red carpet. There's just, like, less of a splash. There's less of a splash.
Lauren
And I think there's also too many people allowed to go, because I think back in the day, I mean, I prefer our current world where the barriers of entry are a lot lower and kind of everyone can. There's much more egalitarian today. That does make it less exciting, though, because it's like, I'm sorry, but if Brooke Snader is also in attendance, as well as, you know, Beyonce. Yeah, those are different echelons of talent, celebrity, rare, like, rarefied human, you know, excellence. And so I just think that, for me, you get a little less. Yeah, you're, like, less titillated by it also. Cause you just see these people so much. So much.
Chandler
We already see them so much. Like, we've seen Emma Chamberlain in the last two weeks.
Lauren
Yeah, we know.
Chandler
Like, yeah, there's less of a splash.
Lauren
You're right. You're right. But anyway, I did find it to be. I found it to be very much a statement that she went back to Blake. And I just felt like, at the end of the day, if she really was so upset about being sexually harassed on this film, this, to me, was just not really a moment of triumph. It's a weird move to be like, all right, now I'm hitting the red carpet after this really traumatic event in my life has finally concluded.
Chandler
It reminds me of, like, the SNL50 moment, where it's like, wait, is the tone here that you're deeply, you know, hurt and, like, this is a really terrible thing that's happened, or is the tone that this is all kind of, like. Doesn't really mean anything to you?
Lauren
Right.
Chandler
You know that this is, like. It just. You know, you're like Teflon. Like, it just, like, bounces off you.
Lauren
When Ryan Reynolds was asked, like, how he's doing. When Chandler's referring to the SNL50 moment, it's when Ryan Reynolds was asked how he was doing, and he. What did he say?
Chandler
He was like, so, like, Amy Poehler. It's when, like, Amy Poehler and Tina Fey are doing their monologue or whatever, and they're, like, talking to the audience, and they do some. What is it, like, crowd play or something? Anyway, that's like a. Yeah, I think that's a term for, like, comedians when they interact with the audience. But anyway, enough about that. They. They go to Ryan Reynolds. Yeah. And they're like, ryan, how. You know, how. What's up? How are you doing? And he's like, good, good. Have you heard anything? Yeah, you know.
Lauren
Right.
Chandler
It's very flippant. That's what it feels like. It feels flippant.
Lauren
And it just makes her, I think, story of suffering seem disingenuous.
Chandler
It undermines it all.
Lauren
Yeah, it undermines it all.
Chandler
Okay, I want to not talk about Blake for a second, but I'm still on the Met Gala. Okay, because I want to talk about the video of Gigi Hadid being asked about what piece of art has changed her life. Some days they feel light and easy, and other days everything just feels heavier. It's so easy to think you have to figure it out on your own. H E-L-P.com Popapologists I mean, I think that this is truly one of the funniest videos I've ever seen.
Chandler
And I just have to say I am not amused by it because I think Gigi Hadid is an idiot. I'm amused by it because it's quite possibly the worst situation you could ever find yourself in.
Lauren
This is a true nightmare.
Chandler
It's a active, living, walking nightmare. It is apocalyptic.
Lauren
She is fighting for her life.
Chandler
Fighting for her GD life.
Lauren
She loses her life.
Chandler
She loses her life.
Lauren
Okay, so we're gonna play it. A piece of art that has changed my life. Any medium. Oh, my gosh.
Chandler
Oh, my gosh.
Lauren
By the way, he says any medium. Any medium. You can go with any medium.
Chandler
Okay, that's better. You could say like a movie.
Lauren
No, exactly. So it makes her response even worse.
Chandler
You could say the Blake Lively and Justin. It ends with us, like, any medium.
Lauren
Well, I will say that that one time I got a piece of advice about collecting art, which is that you should always buy art that confuses you a little bit because that's what will keep you intrigued and keep looking at it and thinking about it. So I. I guess that kind of. I don't know if it changed how I bought art, but I. But it takes the scariness out of buying art. You're like, if there's something that's almost like, not right, like, that's what will keep you into it. So what's the piece that you've collected recently? Recently, I just got a piece that was made with recycled materials, and it's. And it's tomatoes. I can't remember the artist right now, and an artist named Amanda who painted me a floral piece. But I find a lot of artists on Instagram and I buy a lot of art from young artists, so. Yep. Okay. Well, I don't know why there's the hate for the, you know, elderly artists there, but that was so bad. I mean, where do we even begin?
Chandler
I just love that she's like, I'm gonna do you one better. I'm gonna talk to you about a piece of advice I got about collecting
Lauren
art, because that's gonna be.
Chandler
She's like, I don't wanna talk about the art itself. I wanna talk about my process.
Lauren
I know that everyone at home, everyone, these days in America are big art collectors. And so also then the piece of advice. I'm sorry I'm being such a bitch, but it's like. It's like Art for dummies. It's like, have something that confuses you a little bit. Don't go with the landscape of the sunset. You know, why don't you just something that's a little intriguing, that'll, you know, necessitate a second viewing or reading. It's. And then. I'm sorry, but she cannot name one art. That is one piece of art. A woman named Amanda changed her life. Any art form.
Chandler
Wait.
Lauren
Okay.
Chandler
Oh, wait. I got something to say.
Lauren
Yeah, please. This is also your show. Yeah.
Chandler
When she. Yeah. When she talks about, you know, buying art, that confuses her. You know, it all tracks for me because once again, if we look at her Architectural Digest, a lot of things in that house are very confusing.
Lauren
The colored pasta confuses the huge pencil.
Chandler
The giant. I was. The next thing on my list was the giant pencil.
Lauren
Life size confusing. A human life sized pencil has confounded us all. It's like, so mission accomplished. Gigi, she's like.
Chandler
She's. You know what? She's consistent. And it actually. It all makes sense. It all clicks into place where it's crystallized, Chandler.
Lauren
Life was a lens that was out of focus until this moment. Everything sharpened. Yes. It's literally like.
Chandler
Like.
Lauren
Like, I got glasses.
Chandler
She wants to come home and be confused because that's like. That's art.
Lauren
She wanted everyone watching her Arc Digest feature to be confused, and we certainly were. Thank you so much for clearing up a truly mystifying matter, Gigi. And thank you, Chandler.
Chandler
I know. I mean, we need. You need a scholar like me to read between the lines and to connect the dots for people like you.
Lauren
Yeah, exactly. Precisely. Do you have any predictions back to Blake for a second.
Chandler
Wait, actually, though. What? Would you have an answer to that question? Like, do you. Do you actually feel like. Because I don't feel like I have.
Lauren
I don't answer to that question.
Chandler
We'll share it.
Lauren
You know this answer. And so made flesh. Yes.
Chandler
Oh, I'm glad I know the answer. That makes me happy.
Lauren
Book of a collection of poetry.
Chandler
I should crack that open.
Lauren
You definitely should.
Chandler
I love that. I really love that you have an answer to this. I don't think I have an answer.
Lauren
Yeah, well, I think that you should head up a museum or open a book. You know, speaking of books. Yeah.
Chandler
Let's talk about yesteryear for a second.
Lauren
No, Chandler reads a lot more than me. And she's very. She's Very cultured, and I'm much more shallow than I used to be.
Chandler
Everyone.
Lauren
So I'm just. I'm teasing her, and I find her to be. I find her to be wonderful in all ways. Thank you.
Chandler
You are not shallow, but you don't read as many books as you should. I have. You know, I'm on track of my reading challenge this year to read 30 books. I'm at 10. Anyway. Not to brag. Let's talk about yesteryear.
Lauren
So I really quick.
Chandler
Can we.
Lauren
Can we stay with MET Gala for two seconds?
Chandler
What else do you have to say?
Lauren
What is your prediction on if Blake Lively will attend Taylor Swift's wedding? This actually has nothing to do with MET Gala.
Chandler
Oh, my gosh. I'm like. I was so bored by it.
Lauren
Um, now that this case is.
Chandler
Oh, well, I mean, I think she could go. I think there's a high likelihood that she goes, because it's like, let's just let sleeping dogs lie. Of course you're coming to my wedding. We might not be as close of friends anymore.
Lauren
It's 500 people.
Chandler
It's 500 people. I can. I'll see you for 30 seconds.
Lauren
We don't know that it's five. Wait, do we know that it's 500?
Chandler
We know it's a lot of people.
Lauren
We know it's a lot of people. I think that Taylor, even if she hates, like, Lively's guts, could be like, you can come to my wedding. You're not gonna see me. Yeah, it's literally gonna be like, an event with, like, tears somehow.
Chandler
Also, I feel like a wedding is, like, one of the most personal but also impersonal days with your friends completely. Because you are just so. You know, you have so many people to talk to.
Lauren
So I think that she absolutely could just to, like, keep things out of the press. However, eye protection will not be there.
Chandler
Blake Lively will not go correct.
Lauren
Okay. That was my prediction. Should we bet? Should we bet live on this podcast?
Chandler
No, I do not engage in any type of betting.
Lauren
Okay. That's probably illegal. I want to talk, actually about Lauren Sanchez's dress at the gala.
Chandler
I do have more to say.
Lauren
I do buckling, and I do. And it is a little bit art related because I saw this incredible reel by Amy o', Dell, who does really interesting coverage of, like, basically fashion.
Chandler
Yes.
Lauren
And she's a. She's a cultural critic. She wrote the book on Gwenna, and we love Amy.
Chandler
Yeah, we've had her on.
Lauren
Yeah, we're gonna have her on again. But Anyway, she asked. She posed a question if Lauren Sanchez's dress was a reference to the portrait of Madame X, which is a famous French painting. And I want to show you the dress and Lauren Sanchez's dress, and I want to share with you what this could mean. And I think it's very, very compelling.
Chandler
Okay.
Lauren
Okay.
Chandler
Does it have anything to do with him selling the yacht? Because, you know, he saw the. He selling the yacht. Wait, what?
Lauren
Why?
Chandler
I don't know. I just know that it's for sale. Koros is for sale, everybody. Did you hear me? Koros is for sale.
Lauren
Okay, if any. If any of you buy Khoros, and you do not.
Chandler
And you don't literally invite us to DM us. Bump, bump, bump that DM until we see it.
Lauren
Like, we are. We are going to block you from Instagram if you do not invite us on Khoros. Okay? Can you imagine? We had some, like, billionaire multimillionaire. We don't.
Chandler
We don't.
Lauren
There's, like, four people on earth that could afford that yacht. Anyway, so this is. This is Lauren Sanchez's dress. Yeah. Okay, so this is Madame X's dress.
Chandler
Okay.
Lauren
Okay. From the portrait of Madame X. Yeah. What's very interesting about this dress or about this painting is when it was originally painted, she had one of her shoulders down, but too sexy. Look at Lauren. One shoulder down. That's very distinctive.
Chandler
Yeah.
Lauren
But, yes, it was deemed Chandler, too sexy by French society. So this is what. The crazy story behind this painting. So basically this.
Chandler
Look at you, a little art scholar.
Lauren
Well, I did a little research. I did not know all of this.
Chandler
Okay.
Lauren
But this woman is named. So John Singer Sargent is the painter. And Virginie Gautreau, she was from New Orleans. She moved to Paris when she was a young woman and married, like, this wealthy banker. Okay. And she was very famous in French society because the aesthetic at the time was to be very. It's very Mary Kay and Ashley, very French, but it was very undone. It was very natural. It was just to be, like, to have beauty be something that came naturally to you, to not have it be something that you try for, that you tried for. And she, like. So first of all, she gets into the elite upper echelons of society, and then she is just, like, very much aesthetically bothering people because she is the absolute opposite of that. So one thing that's interesting about her is she basically wore, like, almost no jewelry, and she wore much more revealing items than people were used to. And then she would also, like, almost to the point of painting her skin white to have that, like, really porcelain look.
Chandler
She wore a lot of, like, body makeup.
Lauren
Yeah. And then she would wear dark clothing for a really intense contrast. And she was just extremely striking. And. And she was very. She was kind of like. Just like an aesthetic visionary and had a very bold, you know, take on what was beautiful.
Chandler
Yeah.
Lauren
And it's that manufactured aesthetic that you could say Lauren Sanchez really embraces as a, you know, someone who has kind of put herself into the upper echelons of society, like, for better or for worse. And that, you know, Jeff Bezos represents that. And this is her basically saying, like, I actually know exactly what I'm doing. I realize that I am, like, manufacturing beauty, that I might be much more provocative than people would wish for, but I'm here to stay, bitches. So, anyway, very intriguing.
Chandler
And this woman in the painting was, like, an alive girl before we had a live girl.
Lauren
This was the alive girl before she was alive.
Chandler
The OG Alive girl.
Lauren
The OG Alive girl. Yeah. So she. People were, like, very upset about it. So much so. So much so that even after he repainted it, he had to flee to America, to London. Excuse me. To rebuild his career from Paris. He was abolished from French society. They thought that this.
Chandler
And these are people who are all giving, like, syphilis.
Lauren
They basically. They just were so scandalized by the one strap. The sexual kind of nature of that. I'm literally, like, Some of our listeners see that everyone on YouTube is probably hoping you flee to London after that. But no, like, wow.
Chandler
No, I love that back.
Lauren
She also had to flee as well.
Chandler
So everyone was fleeing in those days.
Lauren
Let's see. The. The backlash was so intense. Intense that she was basically banished from Parisian society. And he had to.
Chandler
I mean, for being literally too hot.
Lauren
For being too hot. It's a tale as old as time. And Lauren Sanchez says, I will not be too hot for you bitches. You're gonna deal with this shit. Okay?
Chandler
You came to the table prepared to talk about. To talk about a live girl and to be her defense attorney, and I did. Yeah. I mean.
Lauren
I mean, isn't that just. I just.
Chandler
No, it isn't.
Lauren
It is interesting because that is a lot of the times, people's critique, Lauren Sanchez, they'll be like, too much plastic surgery.
Chandler
Too fake.
Lauren
Too fake. And, you know, Madame X was kind of the pioneer of the fake law, I guess.
Chandler
Like, how could we find out if that was her real inspiration?
Lauren
I mean, Chandler, it's. It's not ambiguous. Like, there's online articles about It. The dress is identical. And the one shoulder off, like, this is her, basically. Like, what do they say? Like, reclaiming, like, the one shoulder.
Chandler
Okay, okay, I'll believe you. I'll buy it. I'll buy it. Thank you. I mean, it makes me like her more. I mean, it's sad the yacht's getting sold. It is sad.
Lauren
Yeah. Anyway, that is. That's where. That's what I came to share.
Chandler
I loved it. Thank you. Thank you for bringing so much research, so much thoughtful research to the table. When it comes to Lauren Sanchez, you always do that.
Lauren
She does captivate me.
Chandler
Can we move on to another woman who captivates you, but a fictitious tale based on her life? Yesteryear. Oh, yeah.
Lauren
Okay. So I did start reading yesteryear, everyone. I'm not very far into it. I'm like 10 pages in, but I do find it to be extremely good. And I've just been quite busy, and yesterday felt terrible. I had, like, a, you know, a public crash out on Instagram that we won't get into. But I was just like, I don't even want to read this today because I feel so bad. I'm so excited to read it tomorrow. So it's very good. But it is absolutely about banana. Banana farms. Banana farms. It's about Ballerina farm. Like, there's just no ambiguity. There's no ambiguity.
Chandler
It's crazy how much especially those early
Lauren
pages read, like, hate fiction about Hannah Nealman. So if anyone is considering reading it, I think you should absolutely read yesteryear. It is. It is just. It gets you from the beginning.
Chandler
I will save my thoughts on it. I have finished it. Yeah, I'll save my thoughts on it until you're finished.
Lauren
I promise to be finished by next week, so we can discuss. Okay, great.
Chandler
I'll hold you to that.
Lauren
Yes.
Chandler
Lauren, can we talk about what's going on at JP Morgan Chase right now?
Lauren
Okay, this was the story that was so confusing to me because you sent this and it was like, basically the article or what you described, it was, was this guy sued an executive at JP Morgan for allegedly her sexually harassing. Yeah, him. Making him her sex slave. Correct. But basically, you kind of sold it to me as, like, it was all fake.
Chandler
Well, okay, so basically. Let me just. Let me back up, please. Okay, so let me lay this out for everybody, because there was a lawsuit. It was filed. It was then withdrawn. It has now been refiled with an added witness to it. So we do not know yet if this was a hoax, but there are some odd things Surrounding it. And so I just want to lay everything out. So basically, this is a case between a man named Cheer you Rana, who is a former junior banker, JP Morgan Chase, and he has accused a senior bank executive, Lorna Heideny, of subjecting him to a pattern of sexual abuse, coercion, and psychological manipulation over a period of time while they work together. Okay. So he filed this lawsuit actually under a pseudonym, under John Doe, but then his name came to light after the suit was pulled. So the crazy things that he alleges. Yeah, it's pretty wild.
Lauren
Yeah, it is.
Chandler
So he is accusing his female boss or somebody who was in a position
Lauren
of power over him, executive at JP
Chandler
Morgan, of basically demanding sex at the office, and then also of just saying a bunch of racially inappropriate, like, racially offensive things to him.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
Do I dare read some of these things?
Lauren
Yeah, I mean, well, I don't want to hear the racially insensitive ones. I don't know where you got access to these details.
Chandler
Oh, the details are everywhere. Really? Because he wrote in his lawsuit that this is what she said, so.
Lauren
Okay, okay. Please share.
Chandler
Okay. And everybody, once again, I'm just reading from what he has alleged. So I also want to say that JP Morgan looked into this and they did an investigation internally and they did not find any evidence of this. And also, Lorna completely, categorically denies everything. And we're gonna find out some more things about the plaintiff, this guy Cheeryu Rana, that make this all a little odd. Okay? Okay. So everyone bear with me as I read these details. They are quite at times graphic and a little hard to hear. Quite hard to hear. So apparently at one point, this female executive, Lorna, removed her shirt and began fondling her own breasts. And then she racially insulted his wife, remarking, I bet your little wife doesn't have these cannons.
Lauren
I'm sorry, this. This is a me move. I. This is a. This is some shit. I would do like have this episode go completely off a cliff, bring up the most insane, insane story. I'm sweating over here.
Chandler
I'm laughing because you have. I know you haven't heard these before. There's nothing funny about what is being said, of course, but it is so. The things that are being described are so outlandish. I think also to imagine a woman saying, have you ever referred to your breasts as cannons after Post Boob Job?
Lauren
No, Chandler, I haven't said to Kaya, I bet none of your exes had any of these cannons, your little Lexus.
Chandler
So honestly, when I. When I Read that part. A friend actually told me about this story.
Lauren
I'm sorry.
Chandler
And I was just like, honestly, it's so far fetched that a woman would say this.
Lauren
We're just so boring. But it's also, I think for us so hard to imagine that a woman would be turned on by this exchange
Chandler
to refer to her own breasts as canons.
Lauren
It's like, I just. Wouldn't you rather be on net a porter than like, okay, anyway, okay, so
Chandler
then, yeah, so she insults his wife and you know, says that. And then apparently, allegedly, according to him, she forcibly removed his pants and performed oral sex on him against his will. And that allegedly, she repeatedly remind him that she owned him and that she controlled his promotion. And bonus. And then.
Lauren
Crazy.
Chandler
I know, I know. And then, and this is all just like, these are all the details that he like verbatim, he says, you know, that she says. So anyway, I'm actually just gonna leave it there because those are without racial
Lauren
stuff that you can share that I think that can, you know.
Chandler
No, because I think that's like, that's what he's alleging that it was like,
Lauren
like every single one of these.
Chandler
Well, yeah, there actually is more, but it's, it's graphic.
Lauren
Sure.
Chandler
If you don't fuck my brains out tonight, I'm going to sabotage your promotion.
Lauren
I'm sorry, this is horrible.
Chandler
Why is it?
Lauren
This is.
Chandler
I've been grappling with how to talk about the story on the podcast because like this person is accusing this person of very serious things. But it's so outlandish that a woman. It's reading like, like a bad, like that line in particular is reading like bad porno or something.
Lauren
Yeah. And honestly, it's just hard to imagine anyone would say that man or woman. It's so bad.
Chandler
I mean, I think at one point she claims. There is more at one point she claims. I'll just read it to you. Hold on. Bear with me.
Lauren
I mean, if this is the episode where we, you know, get canceled. It was fun. The podcast was fun. It was, it was fun while it lasted. It was good to know all of you.
Chandler
Yeah. Thank you everybody.
Lauren
And let's hear.
Chandler
Okay, so this isn't even a Global Elites episode. No, it's not. Yeah. So I guess another. On another incident, he said that, you know, in May of 2024 that he was invited to go to drinks with her, but he declined because of the weather. And his supervisor at the time, you know, this woman invited him into her Uber and allegedly dropped the line. Come with me. I don't like the rain, but I do like getting wet.
Lauren
I mean, that's honestly less graphic than what I've heard before. And. Okay. That one doesn't kill me.
Chandler
Okay. Another. Another incident. He claims that she dropped a pen on the floor near his desk, and while bending down to pick it up, she caressed his leg and said, oh, you did play basketball in college. I love basketball players. They get me so wet.
Lauren
Why?
Chandler
I ate myself. Why did I suggest doing this story on today's episode?
Lauren
You don't. I mean, I'm honestly, I'm so shocked. This was your addition to today's episode.
Chandler
This one podcast that I listened to that was talking about this story. They were, like, censoring themselves so they would be like, oh, you did play basketball in college. I love basketball players. They get me so turned on. And it honestly was easier to listen to than. I'm sweating. I'm sweating.
Lauren
Okay, so Anyway, everybody, basically, J.P. morgan, like, they do this investigation.
Chandler
Investigation. And they don't find anything. And they are standing with Lorna. Okay. Correct. And then we find out some more odd things here. Okay. We find out that. So he, you know, last week, he pulls the lawsuit, and then more things come to light where apparently he asked for bereavement leave.
Lauren
Mm.
Chandler
Claiming his dad had died. His dad is not dead.
Lauren
His dad is still with us and has, like, given a statement.
Chandler
His dad is like, I'm very much so alive and love my son. I love my son.
Lauren
He's great.
Chandler
Yeah, he's a great guy.
Lauren
Yeah. I mean, I think there are a lot of listeners to the podcast. They'll be like, that sounds like a creative way to get some time off. No. 100% no Haterade. Won't be drinking any haterade. And this guy's on it.
Chandler
Yeah. No, no, no. I think, you know, so there's. But that is kind of a crazy thing to do. It's one thing to be like, my distant uncle passed away. I need the next two days off.
Lauren
You know, it's not gonna be like,
Chandler
my dad died like that. That's psychotic. That's a very easy thing to fact check.
Lauren
Honestly, you can only do that if your parents live in another country.
Chandler
I don't even know if you can do that with Instagram now. You know? I don't think you can do that. Why don't you just say my great aunt, who I was very close to, or whatever?
Lauren
Yeah. Chance, if you ever need to come
Chandler
up with a lie, I've got ideas, everybody. Okay, so let me just try to recover some of my dignity. This one's for all my TV lovers. My entertainment from DirecTV gets you 60 plus channels and Disney, Hulu and HBO Max all in one pack.

Chandler
The other interesting part here is that at one point the accuser started talking with like an AI lawyer chatbot about this case or about what he said was happening. But just like some details were were different. He claimed to work at Morgan Stanley, so he, he changed certain details. He also said it was a man, not a woman. And then he also then gave his personal information then to the chatbot. So it doesn't totally make sense because he gives them his email and his phone number and his zip code. And it's a little bit like were you changing details because you were afraid of something happening or were you not afraid?
Lauren
I mean, I think that the question is were you changing details because you were afraid or were you changing details because you like, you're basically just testing out if you had a case. Yeah.
Chandler
Which is like at one point in the transcript, I guess he says, like, do you Think I actually have a valid claim. Do you know anyone who might take my case?
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
Which is, like, what he asked the chat bot. So, to bring us up to speed, this week, the case has been refiled because a witness claims they saw some of this abuse happen, which is a
Lauren
crazy turn of events.
Chandler
Which is a crazy turn of events. I think, you know where you're seeing him. He's continuing on with this. With this case.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
After. After pulling it.
Lauren
I mean, honestly, like, I. I feel bad for my reaction to descriptions of it at the beginning, because as I read this, I kind of just feel like this did happen. That is my take on this.
Chandler
Yeah.
Lauren
I just don't think you would sue an executive at JP Morgan who is so lawyered up. Like, I can understand faking your father's death to get some time off. That can. I mean, Chandler's rolling her eyes. She's not rolling her eyes. She's a little bit. She's looking a little bit quizzical. Yeah, but. No, I can understand that. But what I can't understand is suing JP Morgan for something that's just completely bs.
Chandler
Well, I think where I am a little bit skeptical is I think people sue big places like this all the time.
Lauren
Oh, so it's a shakedown. A shakedown, yeah.
Chandler
Which is what a lot of people think. I think also, you know, they're like, yeah, I want to.
Lauren
They'll just give me a couple million, and this will be.
Chandler
This will be over. This is embarrassing for them, I think. What is crazy about all of this, you know, we are two women. The idea of saying some of these things or knowing a woman who would.
Lauren
Who speaks like this, I mean, there's just got to be Pervier women than us.
Chandler
Oh, there totally are. I just think it feels like. It feels like a woman written by a man. That's what I struggle with here with, like, with some of these tales.
Lauren
Right, right. And it. Because it's so cheesy. But. But here's the problem. That's her.
Chandler
That's her.
Lauren
She's also, like, 35, my age.
Chandler
Yeah.
Lauren
Yeah. It's truly a mystery. And definitely some details don't seem entirely plausible. But the problem is, is that there is someone who claims to have heard her. What. What did they. What do they claim?
Chandler
So one anonymous friend of his claims that he was invited for a threesome and that, you know, he saw her, you know, sort of accost the guy. Yeah. Verbally asking him to come, like, join her for a threesome.
Lauren
Didn't basically the Witness. Okay. There's a third party who says they woke up to her being completely naked.
Chandler
Yes.
Lauren
And inviting this third person into a threesome with him. And then he hears her. Them go into the other room and him saying, no, please stop. Right. Yeah. I mean, that's pretty serious. Yeah.
Chandler
I mean, I.
Lauren
This segment is completely insane.
Chandler
It's completely insane. I think that this story. I feel like there's just more to this story here. Things are not adding up for me.
Lauren
Okay.
Chandler
But I'm going to be following closely.
Lauren
I mean, can you just imagine for a second, though, that, like, you're this corporate girly you have, she's probably some Harvard mba.
Chandler
She would just throw it all. Like, the idea of her also being at the office, and she's, like, demanding.
Lauren
But just imagine that you are completely innocent of all this. Like, this is what's getting passed around the slack at your office.
Chandler
These cannons. Like, honestly, it's the. These cannons that send it over the edge. Okay, we need to talk anyway, everybody. We'll be following this case. I will be providing updates. I will do my best to, you know, remain unbiased. But, yes, let's move forward. Let's move forward to somebody who you have struggled with, you know, remaining unbiased
Lauren
about Taylor, Frankie, Paul, everyone.
Chandler
She's back.
Lauren
She's going to be back on our screens because apparently the Bachelorette is coming back. It's reportedly going to air this summer on abc. We heard pretty quick that they were not actually shelving this. We heard. Yeah, pretty quick. That this was just basically, it was more. It was less of a. Oh, we're just, you know, going to flush all this cash down the drain.
Chandler
Yeah.
Lauren
And more of like, okay, we have to. We have to just wait and have her try to rebuild her image, which she's obviously been trying to do with all of the, like, you know, Christian content.
Chandler
Yes. Yeah. And I think there were also, like, rumors that she was trying to make it work with the guy from the Bachelorette.
Lauren
Yeah. Interesting.
Chandler
Tall Doug. Yeah, that's right.
Lauren
Because it was like, we're still dating.
Chandler
Yeah.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
So she's been trying to rehabilitate her image, for sure. You know what I did today?
Lauren
What?
Chandler
I listened to the court hearing where the judge ordered her in Dakota to say, stay away from each other for the next three years to have a protective order. Like, they are not allowed to be, I think, within 100ft of each other for three years. And that judge, it was honestly, neither
Lauren
of them can be within 100ft of each other for the next three years wild. I didn't even know they could do that.
Chandler
Yeah, that's what the judge basically says. I mean, a lot of people are saying this online. I'm not the first person to have this take. But the judges, very good. And can clearly see through all of the bs. And he knows that both of these people are toxic. And he's like, taylor has a very hard time. Taylor cannot control her emotions. She cannot control her emotional outbursts, even when children are present. And then he says, Dakota, you know, knows how to rile her up. And. And I think one of the most interesting things that he says is that, you know, Dakota is, like, filming all of this abuse. He's not necessarily trying to leave the situation or take the kids and leave the situation. It's not like it's ring camera footage. It's like handheld footage of him standing there filming her. And then the judge even says, at some points, he looks to the camera, like it's more important about. It's more important for him to capture the abuse than to, like, exit the situation with. With the kid.
Lauren
This is the part where I'm just like, where was I? Like, why was my brain processing speed not going fast enough to realize this when I saw the video? I mean, a lot of people said it was reactive abuse.
Chandler
Yeah. I mean. I mean, I do think it's hard to, like, watch those videos and not be completely, like, against Taylor.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
But I do think you feel a little weird when you're seeing, like, him look at the camera. You know, it feels a little bit calculated.
Lauren
Okay, here's the. Here's the opposing case to that. It's that he was filming it for evidence because he knew he would need it in order to get custody of the kids.
Chandler
Right. But in some of these situations where we've heard that it's really violent.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
It's like, I don't know, at some point, push, you know, stop recording and get the kid out of the situation. Yeah. So anyway, the judge basically says you're both literally, like, need serious help.
Lauren
And the judge has clearly reviewed more evidence than me. I know this case a little bit.
Chandler
All the videos.
Lauren
So he basically says you're both guilty. Yes. Yeah. Interesting.
Chandler
And so. And I think they're both about. They're both, like, undergoing psych evaluations.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
I think custody hasn't been fully determined yet, but they are both, like, not allowed to see each other. He says, like, there's still. He goes, like, there's still some attraction, physical or otherwise, between the two of you. And you need to not, you know, see each other.
Lauren
Wow. Yeah. So I think that, honestly, they probably both are. I agree with the judge. Okay. I defer to his judgment. He's a judge, after all. But I also just want to point out that this is clearly, like, whenever a company, in my opinion, or like, whenever. Like the fact that ABC pulled the show, it's just always about money. Like, it's never about anything but money. They tried to keep her on the air as long as they could, and then they're getting that season up as fast as they can. It's always about the bottom line, so just never buy it. When I think any sort of brand or any sort of Any of these corporate. These huge corporations are, like, out of principles, we're gonna pull this season, it's just like, they knew their hand was forced.
Chandler
It's always about the bottom line. And if they can say nothing and save face and money, they will.
Lauren
They will.
Chandler
Thank you, Lauren, for that, you know, invigorating reminder that brands are bullshit. Corporations are bullshit.
Lauren
Yeah, it's all, you know, it's just all trying to placate the public.
Chandler
Will we be watching this?
Lauren
Yeah, I think we're gonna probably. I mean, I think we kind of have to.
Chandler
I think we kind of have to as well. I'm not like.
Lauren
I think that we'll probably do a poll on Instagram and see if people want us to watch and if they will be watching.
Chandler
Did you see that Whitney is leaving the show?
Lauren
I did see that. Yeah.
Chandler
This is the time to go, girl. This is the off ramp. I think this is when it's, like, it's gone from crazy messy to dark.
Lauren
Well, I think also, like, there are gonna be people that say, you know, this is her Katherine Heigl moment where she's leaving Grey's Anatomy and no way. And she's not gonna be like, Katherine Heigl thought she'd be a big movie star. That career didn't end up panning out. Ellen Pompeo stayed with it and, like, made way more money or whatever. Just two totally different situations.
Chandler
Situations. It's not like Katherine Heigl had all these other opportunities that she just had to, like, leave for.
Lauren
Well, in theory, she actually did. Katherine Heigl was, like, a super in demand, like, actress, but we.
Chandler
I don't think she saw any of them come to fruition.
Lauren
Her movie career. Just the movies didn't end. Ever end up being like, that good. And as an actress, you're. You're basically as horrible as, like, your Last movie performed. And so a lot of careers can go downhill overnight. I just, I think the discrepancy is more that basically, like Whitney is one of eight on an ensemble cast of a reality show and like, she has a thriving social media business.
Chandler
Yeah. And, you know, they probably always welcome
Lauren
her back if she wanted to come back, most likely. And also, like, it's not that life isn't, I think, a zero sum game of like the more famous you are and the more money you have, the better your life is. So I could just see her being like, I don't need this show. I can make plenty of money and have a great life on my own.
Chandler
She lives in New York now. She's fully doing the Broadway thing. She was also barely on the last few seasons. I feel like her and Jen, I guess just the last season, her and Jen, it just wasn't really about them at all.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
You know, it was like the other girls were like the storyline basically.
Lauren
So I just think that, like, even if, even if she's not necessarily as successful.
Chandler
Right.
Lauren
As she ultimately could end up being, and who knows, she might be a Paige desorbo where like, actually she soars new heights. And I hope that for her doesn't necessarily mean that her, like, that doesn't necessarily mean that her life is like, less good.
Chandler
Yeah, of course. I mean, also I think she cares more about like acting and singing and dancing. That's like her true passion.
Lauren
Right.
Chandler
We haven't even talked about the spin off Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
Lauren
Orange County. I'm not watching. I probably have to watch.
Chandler
We probably have to watch. But everyone, this is just like, I
Lauren
just can't do it. I just. It's too much Mormon.
Chandler
I know. That's how I feel. That's how I feel. It's crazy.
Lauren
It's really annoying because it's like, I mean, I've already said, and this Orange
Chandler
county is where we are from.
Lauren
I just don't know if I can do it, to be honest. Yeah, like, I really don't know if I can do it, but I will be doing it. I'm sure. I have to.
Chandler
You have to. We have to.
Lauren
Because I'll have so much to say and it will be fun to watch.
Chandler
Well, I hope so. I. I think, yeah, it'll be interesting. We'll. We'll for sure be watching.
Lauren
And I have nothing against that whole, like, milieu. Like, I just think that I. I don't know.
Chandler
I just don't think we can do Mormon. I think it's a Lot to do like multiple Mormon shows all the time, simultaneously, literally.
Lauren
Okay, well, anyway, do we want to talk about me crashing out at the Delta counter or do you want to talk about real hot toys, Beverly Hills?
Chandler
Oh, you know what?
Lauren
That's a hard one for you.
Chandler
It's a toss up for me. I mean, do you have things you want to say about crashing out of the Delta counter?
Lauren
My only thing I'm gonna say is I woke up.
Chandler
She does have things to say. In case you're wondering her answer to my question.
Lauren
Okay. Got up at 3am yeah. To pee, to urinate, to go number one. I got a bit because an urge came. You know what? I'm trying to say it in like a. Not a. I don't. To pee. It's like, is that really me to go to the potty? Anyway, okay, I'm gonna try to keep this brief.
Chandler
After what I have, after the things that I've read from my iPad today, I think anything you say is gonna sound like classy and amazing compared to me.
Lauren
Thank you Chandler for that reassurance. Anyway, I got up to use the restroom and I could not fall back asleep. Cause I had a 7am flight. Cause I'm trying to do a, a Delta status match thing right now with JetBlue.
Chandler
Yep, yep.
Lauren
And it's just like when you know you have to be up in two
Chandler
hours, you don't sleep.
Lauren
It's so hard to fall back asleep. Because you know what it is? It's like I could, it could take five to 10 minutes or it could take an hour. It could take an hour.
Chandler
And then it's like I only have one hour left after that.
Lauren
And also it's. I have to spend a full hour just in my brain by myself.
Chandler
God help you.
Lauren
Like that is, that is a horrible fate. And so, you know, I got 30 minutes in trying to go back to sleep and I was just like, screw it, I'm going to get up. Because you know, also the thing is, is like you can get up and actually like end up feeling fine that day. Yeah, it's always like a coin flip.
Chandler
Well, no, I mean, I, I feel like there's always, you know, a moment 10 hours later where you're like, I feel terrible.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
But you can have like a false high those first couple hours where it's like, I get it. I, you know, especially drink Brian Johnson.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
You know, you. And that's what always gets me is like I have coffee. It's like, let me. I mean, I actually try to plan that in now where I like if I'm getting up for an early flight I'm like, I would like to have 15 minutes at the very least where I can just sit and have coffee. Oh, I always do power up. I need to power up.
Lauren
You have to have that moment or else it's way. Yeah, no. Okay. So anyway I got up and I, whatever. I was up at 3, I got to my flight, got there at like 6 o' clock in the morning for my 7am flight. I'm so tired that I'm standing at the checking my bag and I don't usually check a bag but anyway, I checked my bag and he says to
Chandler
me, I think I say hello Lauren or something.
Lauren
No, he's. No, I didn't put this on Instagram because I've been Instagram storing a lot more on my personal everyone. And so anyway I put on Instagram that he was like, Lauren, hello. But really what he said was do you have any firearms, weapons or hazardous materials in your bags or in your bag? And I'm just looking into space.
Chandler
Oh my gosh. He's thinking you're.
Lauren
And so then he goes, do you have any hazardous material, firearms or weapons or whatever in your bag? And I go what? And I was like, sorry. And then I had to repeat the question again. And I was like no. And he's like are you sure? Whoa, yes, I'm sorry, I'm just so tired. And then it was actually cute and he was like, oh, I hear you. I have to get up at 1:30 for this job. So it was, it was exhausting. I had just like a full crash out. And anyway, I just, I posted a lot about it.
Chandler
So I love it when you post. Love to see it.
Lauren
Thank you. Chandler and I are posting a little bit more on our personals these days because you know, it's like we already have so much pop culture content on the regular that it's like, it's, it's just a lot of content.
Chandler
Yeah, it's a busy feed. It's a busy feed.
Lauren
And so anyway I was on my, you know, I basically was sharing a little at all on Lauren, having fun. And I was afraid though when I got on the flight I was like, is this energy so crazy? Like someone's gonna like come take me off this flight? So those are, I'm clearly not medicated and it's a problem.
Chandler
She's. You're, you're too raw. You're way too raw. Okay, let's talk about Beverly Hills, part two of the reunion.
Lauren
Yes. We must. Summer is coming in hot and my calendar is already ridiculously full with events, weddings, vacations. You guys, there are so many outfits that we need and in our moment of need, let me tell you, there is a great solution out there. It is called Revolve. It is my go to. I am so excited about this sponsor because Kagan and I have been buying this product for years and drinking it every time before we go out and we're gonna have a few beverages because somehow they just really, really help with the next morning and how you feel. It's called Zbiotics. We're huge fans in our house, so it was so funny when it came through the mail because I was like, Kagan, they're a sponsor. Here's the thing. Zebiotics Pre Alcohol Probiotic drink is the world's first genetically engineered probiotic. It was invented by PhD scientists to tackle rough mornings after drinking. Here's how it works. When you drink, alcohol gets converted into a toxic byproduct in the gut. It's a buildup of this byproduct, not dehydration, that's to blame for rough days after drinking. Pre alcohol produces an enzyme to break this byproduct down. Just remember to make pre alcohol your first drink of the night. Drink responsibly and you'll feel your best tomorrow. From the first outdoor brunch of the year to Memorial Day plants, May's social calendar is officially non stop. Don't let one long night keep you from the rest of your weekend. Drink Pre Alcohol to stay on your game and make the most of every sunny Saturday. Remember to head to zbiotics.com pop and use code pop at checkout for 15% off.
Chandler
Where do you want to begin? Who do you want to talk about first?
Lauren
I want to talk about Amanda. You know, she has her package. At the beginning, it was just funny because during the. You know, during the reunion, basically, Dorit and Kyle just get into it. She's like, guys, this is my package. I thought we were talking about me. Yeah. Which was hilarious.
Chandler
I thought it was really funny. I'm turning a corner with her.
Lauren
Yes.
Chandler
And I think she's not coming back.
Lauren
Oh, she's not.
Chandler
I think I saw that.
Lauren
Really?
Chandler
I mean, who knows? Anything can change. But I think. I think she commented on something that was like, why would I ever do that again?
Lauren
Oh, really? Yeah.
Chandler
Which makes me think, a, she's richer.
Lauren
Yeah. Than you.
Chandler
Than, like, I thought, like, it's like, she doesn't really need the money. You know, she was literally, in my opinion, a nobody before this, and she doesn't want it. And I kind of makes me respect her more.
Lauren
Yeah. I felt like she seemed profoundly unbothered by the whole thing. She handled herself so well.
Chandler
And I said this last episode, but when she says to like the ladies, like, I went to Jerit's thing because I'm. I actually am all about that. I'm all about women empowerment and, like, women building their own financial freedom.
Lauren
So.
Chandler
Yeah. Even though I've had issues with this person, I don't know, she just showed such maturity. Yeah. Turn the corner.
Lauren
Here's what I would like to know. Is her business a business where she's telling women that to get rich, they need to create Instagram accounts where they teach women how to get rich through manifestation? Is it basically, like, this weird pyramid
Chandler
scheme kind of thing?
Lauren
Yeah. Or is it something where it's just all about, like, your mindset is really everything and you have to have, like, an abundant manifestation mindset because there is some truth to, like, if you don't know what's possible, then you can't. Like, you can't achieve what you can't see on some level, I feel like that happens in my life a lot. Like, Kagan will is Kagan, I think, is a big reason why this podcast has been able to, like, actually, you know, take off to a certain altitude. Yeah. Maybe isn't it isn't, you know, giggly squad, but we've been able to at least, like, get into the air.
Chandler
Yeah.
Lauren
And I think a lot of that was him, like, saying like, no, you don't understand how valuable this will be once it actually. Like, once you actually get traction and the product market fit is clearly there. Like, you have people who love it. You just have to find more of them. And so. Sorry, I know I'm, like, getting a little sidetracked, but I just think that, like, there is, like, a value in. In learning to think.
Chandler
Know your worth.
Lauren
They just said, like, think bigger about what you're capable of achieving. Yeah.
Chandler
One of us needs to just buy a book.
Lauren
We could actually just hashtag, do our own research.
Chandler
I met a guy.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
At Rosella, Like, a new friend that, like, I. Yeah, I met him at Rosella, and he's super funny, and he was talking to me about Amanda, and I was like, I hate her. And he was like, oh. He was like, I just read the book.
Lauren
I loved it. Really?
Chandler
Yeah.
Lauren
Oh, yeah. We should just read the book. Because I also think that, like, women don't talk to each other about money. Like, they really don't really tell each other, like, kind of what's possible. I think a lot of times, like, people feel scary. People are very scared about talking about money, and it. I think people can feel like it's maybe bragging or it's, like, not good taste. And you know what men do? That's really all they talk about is money. Yeah. That's all they talk about. They talk about what deals they're doing. They talk about, like, all they talk about with each other, literally, is money. You know, I was on a flight with a friend, and he goes, how much money does a podcast make? And I. So I was like, kagan, do you want to share how much of the money the podcast makes? And Kagan did. And I just was, like, a woman would never ask me that.
Chandler
Never.
Lauren
And it's. But it's just, like, that's how. And he was asking in a way that she was, like, curious and wanted to, like, give input on business. And it's just, like, when you. I don't know, I think that there can be value in, like, learning a different, like, set of, like, a different way of kind of moving through the world in a way where. Yeah. You feel like you can achieve things.
Chandler
Yeah. I also think money is. Can be very taboo for people.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
And then, like, Then it, like, you, like, lose your power with it because you're, like, afraid of it or afraid to talk about it or it's. It scares you.
Lauren
Yeah. But I think that when. Like, when you. When you can kind of figure out, like, oh, like, there's that, like, I'm trying to get my friend Elizabeth to really, like, do what she is doing, which is creating content. And it's like we had a conversation about money and I was like, no, like, this is like very possible to do very well doing this. And like, I had to share some numbers with her so she would understand, like, you, you can do really well even if you don't. I don't know. Anyway, I just think that the more women communicate, the more we can help each other, like, actually achieve. And so if that's what Amanda is doing, like, all this hate has been unfounded.
Chandler
Yeah. And I think, I think she just had like, I don't know, she had good rebuttals to people saying, like, why did you brag? Or why did you one up? And it's like, it's true. All the other women do have also tons of designer and like, and labels and they all dress in head to toe stuff. And, you know, I think a lot of it too could be first season edit where it's like, here's this new buffoon, here's this clown.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
And I am glad that they were like, you know, you shouldn't emasculate your husband. Like, you shouldn't make it a part of your personality that you make more money than him. That shouldn't be something that you drive home over and over. And I think she was vulnerable and she was like, yeah, he didn't love it.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
So I don't know.
Lauren
She.
Chandler
She's won me over in the end, which I never thought I'd say.
Lauren
And her saying, like, this was not that hard for me. Like, I. All these women here have like a good heart when you, when, you know, you kind of get to know them. She just handled herself really well. Came across really likable. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Chandler
Okay, let's move on to.
Lauren
I mean, can we talk about the jello diet just really fast?
Chandler
Everything with Kathy Hilton. I just love that Kathy Hilton is still saying things like, I like, did the jello diet. Like, there's this new jello diet. I just love that she's trying stuff out. She, you know, like, some people are fountains, some people are drains. Kathy Hilton is nothing if not a fountain. A triple trellis.
Lauren
Yeah, a triple tiered fountain.
Chandler
Triple tiered fountain. In every way. She just gives and gives and gives. I mean, when her phone rings.
Lauren
Okay. I actually thought the phone ring moment was so interesting because Kyle is literally like pouring her heart out and finally getting to the heart of Mauricio and Her pain. And then she literally answers her phone, and you see Jennifer Tilly roll, like, roll her eyes at how rude it is. I mean, Jennifer Tilly is so hilarious.
Chandler
So good. When Kathy. When she goes into Kathy's trailer, Kathy's like. They're, like, talking about something, and she's like, Kathy says something about her. You look so cute. And Jennifer's like, I'm not wearing this. Kathy's like, I did think you're going very low key today. She was, like, in leggings and, like, a long shirt.
Lauren
You look very cute.
Chandler
It was like, I just. I love Kathy Hilton. Kathy Hilton.
Lauren
I love you. I know. We can't lose Kathy. If we lose Kyle. We cannot lose Kathy. Yeah. But we. I think we should talk about the meat of the episode, which was Kathy. I'm sorry, Not Kathy.
Chandler
The jello.
Lauren
Which was Mauricio and Kyle. Yeah, Kyle talking about Mauricio. I think she actually revealed so much.
Chandler
I know, I know.
Lauren
She clearly is hanging on because she just wants Mauricio back, and she wants anything she can get at this point,
Chandler
and she's not ready to let go of the vision of them together.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
I was really appreciative of her vulnerability here. I mean, I know I've been hard on Kyle this season, but she was like, yeah, I'm not ready for things to feel different.
Lauren
Mm. And it's, like, so crazy to admit. It's crazy to admit. Especially when he's actively just, like, out there with all these hoes. Hi, how are you? No. And I think that, like, I think the most visceral reaction I had was when she talked about being at the party where he was basically just in single guy mode with her. Like, didn't give two Fs and was clearly, like, you know, eyeing women. Right, right. And she saw just, like, in the flesh, her husband of 30 years, now her ex husband, or almost ex husband, like, not giving a single fuck and being completely moved on.
Chandler
Like, he clearly is so unbothered by her that she has no emotional pull over him at all. And that would be.
Lauren
So. It's no Chandler. It is existentially. It is existentially devastating to witness. I think it's damaging for all Beverly Hills viewers because this is literally. I think women's one of my worst fears.
Chandler
100%.
Lauren
All of us fear one day our husbands will just be like, goodbye, and they don't actually care about you. And they just, like, the emotional well, completely dried up. Yeah. And they're just. They've moved on. They move on. Very quickly, especially when we get older. And it's just like, we're good.
Chandler
Yeah.
Lauren
And it's like, I. Especially if I can get a bunch of young women, I truly would be better off. And that's literally what has basically gone down. I would like Mauricio to, you know, issue a statement to, like, so I can be corrected on this. But that's exactly what it seems like is happening. It's really hard to watch. It's like physically painful for me to watch.
Chandler
It made me deeply, deeply sad, I think. Just also hearing her talk about, like, you know, if what happened. What would have happened if they would have moved to Aspen and, you know, he had just been a ski instructor or something, you know, just like early days of dreaming about what their life would be and if they hadn't become famous.
Lauren
Yeah. And she talks about what money can
Chandler
do to men and social media where she says, it's like, everybody has access to you. Everyone has your phone number. Everyone can message you.
Lauren
Yeah. How about.
Chandler
I mean, I also just want to say. I think. I just want to say I think there are like, there are some men who I feel like you kind of like, you know, there are some men you kind of keep your eye on. Yeah.
Lauren
You always kind of know.
Chandler
You kind of always know that, like a woman passes them and they kind of check them out.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
And even if it's just. It's just like instinctual for them. And there are other men who are completely loyal. Completely loyal. And it's just really like, I think they're less driven by that.
Lauren
Listen, they're like, rick Hilton is now our beacon. He's. Kathy and Rick are on our Mount Rushmore monogamy.
Chandler
All I need to. All I need.
Lauren
Wait, hold on. We want to talk about the Ken.
Chandler
The Ken talk.
Lauren
Oh, my God.
Chandler
Ken Cat crazy.
Lauren
It was so them, like, figuring out what they had just said. I mean, like, he's a good looking man. And being like, he's a very good looking man.
Chandler
She's like, you know, nice, you know, compared to Mauricio.
Lauren
Okay. So basically Kyle says, like, you know, if you're okay with me saying this, Kathy, she would say to me, like, stop talking about how hot your husband is on tv. You know, like, stop trying to make him happen.
Chandler
Yeah.
Lauren
And you know, and then Kathy's like, yeah, well, I think Kathy kind of does this thing now where she's like, trying to be protective of Kyle.
Chandler
Yeah.
Lauren
So she's like, he's not that good looking. Like, put him next to Ken maybe. And Then everyone's like, Ken Todd. And then it was just so funny because she's like, Ken is a very good looking man.
Chandler
It was like the backpedaling was insane. And then they do like a side by side. I mean also there's a massive age difference there.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
Ken Todd is like essentially 100 compared to Mauricio.
Lauren
That was not nice.
Chandler
No, it was not nice. I did think that was interesting. Like that Kathy would have said to her like, stop talking about how. Yeah, yeah, your husband saw it. What about the agency?
Lauren
What about good older sister? I think that this divorce is going to get interesting when it actually happens. And 1 million percent one of them is going to get into a relationship and the other person is going to be like, okay, no more family holidays in Aspen. So I just think that she's like, it's interesting. I would be so revolted, I think by my husband if he was conducting himself like I don't want to have coffee with you in the morning.
Chandler
No.
Lauren
Like I don't want to take family vacations. Like I'm actually going to go live
Chandler
my life and you don't get access to me anymore.
Lauren
Yeah. And I just, I also believe wholeheartedly that Kyle could have a whole new life and partner. She's not like she's in her 50s. Like so it's just, it's sad to see her clinging and it's interesting cause like she fell in love with a 28 year old woman herself. Had a, like had a full love affair that she was very committed to. I mean there were times, there was a time when she did not give two fucks about Marie.
Chandler
Totally. That we absolutely lived with through that period.
Lauren
So it's interesting that she's back.
Chandler
I just wonder if it's like, okay, time has passed, that relationship didn't work out or I don't know, it's not turning into maybe what she thought it was going to be. I have no idea what's happening there. But I, I just wonder if like the girl's like getting a little bit older and it's just like I like it's just like she wants that family time so badly and she doesn't want to have to split up the family time or like those rituals. I don't know. But also I think that, I don't know, I think is what's at what cost to her. Like I don't know. I think that would feel so lonely. It would feel so lonely to be like in that relationship.
Lauren
It would also just feel so painful because it's like this person who seems to have so clear, so easily discarded your 30 years together is just sitting right in front of you.
Chandler
Just completely unbothered. Completely unbothered.
Lauren
So, yeah, she. She gave a lot during our reunion. I think even just. She didn't even mean to, but like, it was just the way she talked. It was also. It was so clear. Like right when she hesitated so much when they said like, are you waiting for him to come back? Right. But yeah, I mean, what do you think about the agency thing?
Chandler
I mean, it is. I feel like it is half hers.
Lauren
No, I completely agree. Yeah.
Chandler
No, I just think that, like, I don't like that. I think the whole reason why they're
Lauren
not divorced yet is because of money.
Chandler
I don't think he wants to. Yes, I think that. I think it's would make a difference to him if they were like, I think getting a divorce would. I don't think that he is holding on to like them still being married for emotional reasons. I think it's like I'm probably gonna have to like pay a bunch of money and split all that up and it's gonna be a big hassle to like to do that.
Lauren
Right.
Chandler
And so I think he's intentionally not doing it.
Lauren
They don't want to deal with like,
Chandler
cheaper to keep her. Like, you know, we heard that expression growing up.
Lauren
We certainly have.
Chandler
Grotesque. No doubt.
Lauren
Yeah. It's really sad. Well, Chandler, wait.
Chandler
We didn't even get into any more Dorit stuff with it. I mean, I thought that dorit. Dorit did not look good when she kind of interjected and just brought up the Kyle drama again. Yeah, I think that Dorit is a little bit. She's got like tunnel vision right now on the reunion.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
And I wish that she had a little bit more of that, like, cool, level headed, I don't know, just a little bit more of the energy in the last episodes. But she seems so fired up.
Lauren
Yeah, that's a good. That's a good point. To be honest, I feel like I am like I've been swimming in a Kyle Dorit, you know, argument all season. I'm a little bit of like, just like, I don't know, psychosis, Psychosis, dysmorphia. I just. None of it even registered that much to me because it was just like
Chandler
more of the same. Right. Well, can I also just say I was at like a little shop on Saturday.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
And these girls passed and I heard one of them say, I'm so team Dorit. Like, I think Kyle I just, like, whip my head and I'm just like. Immediately, I'm like, I could not agree more.
Lauren
Team durit all the way. That's so funny.
Chandler
So I also feel like I'm in a similar psychosis.
Lauren
I mean, what did you. What did you think about her not going to the book party?
Chandler
I think you kind of get a pass if it's the week of your daughter's wedding. Yeah, I think. I think. Yeah, I think you get a pass. And you know what? I do believe that text exchange was like, dorit was being polite, and it was like, yeah, like, what are you gonna say? Dorit's not gonna light her up. And dorit did go to the wedding.
Lauren
Dorit went to the wedding. And I don't know. It's like, you know, we have active problems right now. It's actually quite gracious of Kyle for you to still be invited to this wedding.
Chandler
I think the grave error is on Erika Jayne's part because Erika didn't even text her. I think that's just, like.
Lauren
It's very clear that Erica is trying to earn her next season and be part of the drama, and she knew she had to do something, like, I think was very vulnerable. What she shared with about, you know, what happened to her with Denise richards, that's not a whole season storyline, though. Like.
Chandler
Right.
Lauren
And I do believe that she's kind of using this friendship as currency and creating drama within it as currency to get on the show, which they basically brought up.
Chandler
I mean, they said that they, like, asked dorit if that, you know, and that's what Erica's so upset about, is that dorit would even say that. That's. That's the whole reason why she didn't go to the book parties, because she was offended that dorit said, you know, why are you doing this? To save your job or whatever. Wasn't it something like that?
Lauren
Yeah, yeah. Which it's interesting that it's just, like, so transparent to us viewers what Erica is doing.
Chandler
Right.
Lauren
I don't know. Part of me is just like, after the couple years Erica has had, can't she just have, like. Can't she just have a season on the, like, being ninth to bat? Just, like, give her an exhale. She's literally. She was the center of all of that for so long. Yeah.
Chandler
I think it's just because she's such. She was such good friends with dorit.
Lauren
No, no, I'm not talking about the dorit drama. I'm just saying, like, couldn't we have just allowed her to just kind of have a chill season.
Chandler
Yeah, I mean, I don't think Erica could change me on the chopping block at all.
Lauren
Yeah.
Chandler
I think she brings so much.
Lauren
She's an amazing cast.
Chandler
Yeah. Okay, let's depart from this psychosis, you guys. I'd like to get back to my JP Morgan Chase psychosis.
Lauren
We stop using the word psychosis of it all.
Chandler
I love psychosis.
Lauren
You do love it.
Chandler
No, I. I'm.
Lauren
I fear the. The. The dm. That's just like, you know, as someone who's been in active psychosis, I don't appreciate that.
Chandler
Listeners been in active psychosis. We'd love to have you on.
Lauren
I have a. I met someone whose sister was in active psychosis.
Chandler
That's really sad.
Lauren
And. Yeah, like, got arrested in Ireland, like, running naked in the streets.
Chandler
Oh, my gosh. Okay.
Lauren
Show some goddamn respect.
Chandler
Sorry, everybody. Yeah, that's something I could. I could do more of after this episode.
Lauren
Yes, I completely agree. Everyone, if you love the show, do us a favor. Write us a review.
Chandler
Write us a review. Five stars is appreciated.
Lauren
Five stars is absolutely appreciated. Sometimes our reviews can just be like the dumping grounds of people annoyed. So, you know, it's nice to remind people, if you do like us, we love a review. It makes our day.
Chandler
We love a review.
Lauren

Macy's bouquet of deals is happening right now and new deals are dropping every single day. We're talking KitchenAid, Lancome, Prada Hotel Collection and more. So if you've been putting it off because you don't know what to get, this is actually a very good place to start. What I like is that it doesn't have to be some huge splurge to still feel thoughtful. They have a ton of great gifts under $50, which is perfect if you're shopping for multiple moms, mother in laws, grandmas, or just trying to stay under budget. And while you're shopping, don't skip Macy's backstage the store within a store that feels like the ultimate treasure hunt. They have fun finds under $25, making it a great stop for thoughtful add ons, budget, friendly gifts or something for yourself. Shop now in stores or online@macy's.com
