A
I can't wait for you to have kids. Oh, Aaliyah.
B
Okay. But, like, seriously, though, could you just not imagine, like, an Aaliyah running around? Like, would that not just seem like, wow, there's another one of her?
A
So here's what I wanted to do, but neither of my partners would let me. I wanted a Junior. I'm like, why do dudes get to name their kids Junior?
B
So let me tell you.
A
I want a candace Nicole Parker Jr. And call her Juniya. Call her Junior Alisa.
B
Like, come on. Another Aaliyah would be so fire.
A
I think you should do it, because I was all for it. If I have another girl, her name will be, well, her. Nick. Her nickname will be Junie. Okay.
B
Azie.
A
Absolutely. Azie. I know you don't want another.
B
Someone just closed the door outside. That. No, that has nothing to do with you. Please. No, no. Whisper, whisper, whisper. Sorry. But another Leah would. Now what? I'm sorry. Come here. You want treats?
A
That's talking back, yo. You did that. You did that.
B
Look, look, look. Oh, good boy. Oh, such a good boy.
A
Hold on.
B
I'm gonna mute.
A

B
Going to get period mic drop. Yeah.
A
Bars. So we're recording this early on Sunday.
B
Why? Why is that, Candace? Tell us more.
A
Because I'm going to Berlin.
B
Oh.
A
I'm going to Berlin for NBA Europe. I'm excited because my brother is a GM for the Orlando Magic, and the Orlando Magic are playing the Memphis Grizzlies twice. So once in Berlin, once in London. And so I get to go along and do the game with a. I mean, German legend in Dirk Nowitzki, which I'm pretty excited about. Michael Grady, always the best on Play by Play. But yeah, I'm excited. And I'm a history buff. So I already got my itinerary planned out for Berlin. I've already got the topography museum. I've gotten like all the World War II spots. I've gotten the Berlin Wall Memorial, the Holocaust Memorial. Like, I'm.
B
Oh, so you're doing it all. Oh, my God. Can you hear that?
A
Could we hear that? Like, what just happened in Miami?
B
It's literally a car. I'm about to go yell outside.
A
I think it should be that neighbor.
B
No, wait, hold on. Just give me. They can edit this. Just hold on.
A
Oh, a few moments later, how you yell at a car. I'm so confused.
B
Don't worry about it.
A
So that means that it was your people that were doing it and you just blamed it on a car.
B
No, I'm too far. But anyways, um, so I just have a question. Why didn't you invite me to Berlin? Yes.
A
You're kind of busy getting double doubles.
B
Yeah, but an invite still would have been nice. You know what I'm saying?
A
I mean, I got a million invites. You're welcome to come. Come join us. We're going to have some wiener schnitzels and some beer and I'm going to wear my. What's that little skirt thing called? I can't remember what it's called. But anyway, I'm going to be like, full out. Like.
B
Well, can you. Oh, yeah. I'm glad you leaving me here. Never mind.
A
I'm doing. Let's see. How is it? Donkeshang. Donkeshang. I gotta get my German together.
B
I'm literally scared of you.
A
What do you mean? I don't speak German, but I'm gonna.
B
Learn a couple all out, though. And I do love that. Yeah.
A
Like, I'm all about the immersion in cultures, so I'm about to be about to be like, what is it? Nine? Nine is. No, I think.
B
Oh, you're working on it.
A
I really was excited to get to this. I was gonna wait for you to transition to this, but I know you're not going to because, like, go, Bears. Bear down.
B
Go Bears.
A
So I went to my nephew's graduation. I did. I was a good aunt, however.
B
I mean, like, were you happy about it?
A
So I was going to wear all bear stuff to the graduation. My wife kind of talked me out of that. She was like, you're not real. Maybe I don't wear that. And so I wasn't allowed to wear that. But I did wear a comfy set. It actually turned out being Green Bay colors. It was not on purpose, but I did wear Green Bay colors, so I think that's going to be my thing. No, I'm not the ops, because I know they knew what was inside. The Pope was for us. All of Chicago was for us. We were down 21 to 3 at halftime.
B
Y' all just came back, man.
A
We came back. And when I tell you, I was so excited, I was yelling through the house, screaming. My son was yelling, bear down. Everybody was texting me. My entire timeline is bare stuff. I think Chicago fans are more obnoxious than Philly and New York and all of those fans. Except that we haven't won in so long that I forgot how obnoxious.
B
How long has it been since.
A
Well, it's our first playoff win since I was 24.
B
Wow.
A
Don't do that. Don't do that. Because, you know, that was a long time ago. 15 years.
B
Do the math. Hold on. I'm almost there.
A
Okay. Carry the one.
B
Fifteen years.
A
Yep.
B
Congratulations. I feel like I should send you flowers to Berlin or something.
A
I mean, listen, I'll take them in orange and navy blue. I'll take them.
B
Okay.
A
I am the biggest color Colson Loveland fan ever. I was on the plane on the way back reading about him. He's from Idaho, and he used to tag cattle, and that's why his hands are the way they are. He played at Michigan. Huge star there. Won a national championship. But I. I just feel like the entire city of Chicago should really embrace this dude because everybody was booing when we drafted him. Obviously, Caleb Williams came, showed out DJ Moore, big catches. Our defense stepped up in the second half. I. I just don't think you understand how excited I am. And we're gonna have to bleep this out, but the Packers. I like a heated rivalry. I like it. Everybody's going in like, oh, it's bad sportsmanship. Like, whatever.
B
LaFleur.
A
Oh, he didn't shake. Ben Johnson didn't shake his hand. Yeah, he. He shook his hand. It was just a drive by shake of the hand. And both of the coaches know they don't like each other and when they go out there. And that's okay. And I think we need to accept that. So all this like rah rah stuff between teams. Anywho, so we. We get Eagles, Niners. Well, wait, it depends on the seed. So Eagles or the Rams, depending on how the Eagles 49ers game shakes out. So we'll get one of those two. And is there a team you prefer? I just want all the smoke.
B
Like, okay. Period.
A
I want all the smoke, period. We're not ducking. We're not dodging.
B
Okay.
A
But we know it's got to come through Chicago in the words of Michael Jordan.
B
So.
A
All right, it's time for what we want to talk about. Even though I just.
B
Even though I think that's exactly.
A
I just talked about what I wanted to talk about. I was so excited. Unrivaled, Unrivaled dubs in the chat.
B
Go Phantom Ghost gang. Yeah.
A
Our last game, and I say our because I am team Phantom. You played the Lunar Owls. You dominated. They got their ass kicked by 34. Damn, 34 in a game like that is really hard. Like, y' all were really dominating. You had a solid stat line. First of all, three of five from three. Can we talk about it? Talk about it. Talk up, Jackson. What's your three point celebration?
B
I actually don't know.
A
I need you to have one.
B
Just Phantom, every time you hit a three, they go like this. It doesn't. Are you on TikTok? You know, they like. Okay, so that's what we do in Phantom. But I haven't thought of a three point celebration.
A
No, but I need you to think of on post ups. Send in your best three point celebration for Aaliyah. I'm more of like. I'm sorry, yo, you hit the three.
B
I'm sorry, what is that?
A
Yo, you see the three to four fingers right here?
B
Tennessee math.
A
Yeah, it was four, but I put the other one down. So you hit the three, right? And then you hit them with the.
B
Oh, you're actually unserious. And don't ever recommend anything again.
A
I think you should do that. Phantom wins. Aaliyah had an insane stat line. I told you 3 for 5 from 3, but added 21 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, 3 blocks. If you Are not watching unrivaled. You are living under a rock. It is exciting. It is fast paced. It is fast. So, like, if you sit down to watch a game, it is going to be halftime before you know it. In the studio, we're like sitting down, we order our food to take a bite, and then it's like, red snapper. I took one bite of my red snapper. I had to run back to do halftime. That's how fast the games are.
B
It honestly, that Lunar Isles game, though, we were going like this. And on the first time, I was.
A
Like, can we slow down?
B
Okay, hold on.
A
Slow down.
B
Give me a second. So that was.
A
Yeah, well, your teammate went off, though. Yeah, your teammate, Kpop went off.
B
What does she have?
A
25 in the first half, 38 points for the game.
B
Yeah.
A
She is one of those players that honestly, I know is going to succeed. And unrivaled. And honestly, the first game against the breeze, which you guys fell short, 69, 62. You had 18, 7, 3. That was the first game obviously played against Paige Beckers and that combo of Malonga, who was going to be really good. Uh, she's only 19 years old. But I just thought that that was an adjustment game because Kelsey was kind of feeling her way. I think she's in. She's a player that's in some of the best shape I've ever seen in my entire life. And so you know that there's going to be an adjustment. She went off for 38 points. But also, I got to talk about a different game and I talk about a different game.
B
Yeah, I want to talk about. I know what game we're going to talk about too. Let me just tell you. Let me just tell you. So I'm sitting down. Steph came. So she's sitting at the game and the rows just keep chipping away. They just keep chipping away. And I was like, Chelsea's about to come down and win it on a three. I don't know. I mean, I would have had to run it.
A
That was the only time they led in that game. They only the rose.
B
Chelsea is crazy. She's crazy.
A
I mean, that was the first one. That was the possession before, right? Vinyl's like, okay, we still have possession. All we have to do is score two. Courtney Williams takes like a fade away and then Derek Hamby.
B
What are you doing? No, honestly, you gotta like run her off the three point line.
A
You gotta be up to touch or something. That was also an Amy blitz.
B
It. I don't.
A
I mean, anybody but Chelsea at this point. That was so crazy.
B
That was so crazy.
A
No, anybody but Chelsea, to be honest with you.
B
But I was not surprised. It makes sense.
A
I was not surprised either. Point. God. Everybody knows. I think she's mastered this three on three because you cannot load up.
B
Yeah.
A
And if you can't load up, then she's gonna find the open person. Yeah. So it's. It's so fun to watch her. Watch her dominate. I mean, again, the vinyl were winning the entire game. So.
B
So if you could pick your top three teams, obviously, including Phantom, so you really only have two more options. Who do you go? Who are you picking?
A
I went with Rose and I think in terms of play right now, the Breeze are. Are playing really well. And Breeze and Rose, by the time this airs, they will have played.
B
I know.
A
I'm loyal and I can't wait. I can't wait to watch that. That game later on today and just see kind of how the young Breeze, who don't have anybody except for. For who nobody on their team has played three on three. I know. Rekia. Rekia is the only one. Rekia Jackson's the only one on the Breeze that has played three on three last year. But just in terms of, you know, the pick and roll with Paige and Malanga, and you got Rakia being able to attack the mismatch. They can defend. They have players that want to come in and play for each other, so they're just. I am. I really enjoy watching all three of those teams play. I mean, you put the Phantom in there. I enjoy watching you play.
B
I mean, you didn't really have an option on that one.
A
But quietly, I think the Mist are. Are got a little chip on the shoulder too. Yeah. The miss with. With Stewie being able to kind of bring them home. The thing with the Breeze, first of all, I was looking at the Hives roster and I was like, ooh, they gonna be real good. I mean, they're limping out the gate. I think they're going to figure it out a little bit. Kelsey Mitchell has to be your teammate. Has to be a little bit more aggressive.
B
To me, I mean, we're. We're. I just crack some jokes with her already about telling her, just take the shot. Just take.
A
Like, when is she ever shy to take.
B
Just take the shot. My Kelsey, that's okay.
A
Like, there's nobody that wants to go to in the WNBA one on one on an island because she's like Mortal Kombat crossover step back. And I'm looking at her shy away from shots and unrivaled. I'm with you, man. Take all the shots you want. I want you to shoot 30 times. Kelsey Mitchell. Kelsey Mitchell. Let me, let me clarify because Kelsey Plum ain't shy neither.
B
Well, also. Well, you know what, for the awards, most game winners, unless it's against the Phantom. I can see Chelsea Gray taking that.
A
I mean 100%.
B
I think she already leads in most game winners.
A
She has nine game winners in their 15, like wins. She has nine of the 15 game winners, which it's so crazy. And I said this before, this is why I couldn't coach is because it's like, so at some point I can't X's and O's. This like, this is like you rolling the ball at a 24, 24 hour fitness and you're just like, hey, so like if we lose, it's not gonna be to her. We did a game with rock paper scissors in the studio. So the picks that I had aren't really my picks because I couldn't pick all the ones I wanted to. Um, but I think I had Chelsea as mvp. I actually would pick you as defensive player of the year. You or Malanga are my two period coach of the year. I said, oh my gosh, no, Nola, no, like one on one champ. I said Jackie Young.
B
Well, that's a good pick.
A
Do you like that one? Who you.
B
That's a good pick.
A
Who you think other than yourself. Yeah, other than yourself.
B
Honestly, this is where I really could see Kelsey Mitchell, like going off. It'll only matter like with her size though, against who she gets matched up with.
A
That's what I'm saying. Like the post players show that it's. There's levels to this. That's why they were saying they needed an over six, two and an under. Because post players, you back people down.
B
I mean, I know, but guards are quick, quick hands.
A
Yeah, but you don't get the ball if you don't.
B
Yeah, but it all depends too. Like if, if the guard starts with the ball, it could be, could be a long night.
A
I mean, I'm just saying numbers didn't lie last year. Like all the guards were out last year.
B
That's true.
A
Because it's just like you can't teach size. It just doesn't work. Okay, so who's your 1v1? You said Kelsey Mitchell. Okay.
B
And me. Okay.
A
I like that. I can't wait to see you in that tournament. I'm gonna pull up. Thank you. Yeah, for sure.
B
So you know what? I, you know what's my favorite thing has been is when I've seen Steph come through and he wears, like, all the different shoes and supporting women. And then do you know what shoes he was wearing?
A
Towing do you know, I got on Instagram and I saw. I was hyped. I mean, he blew the dust off. That was like, 2011. That was some years ago. Like, period queen 2011. And then pulled up in the. Those are my Chicago sky exhibit A model shoes. Yeah, it's. Steph is taking the world by storm just in terms of what he's doing and continuing to elevate others. And I think that's what we love so much about Steph is he's so great, but he continues to kind of showcase others, and that's what makes him so special. So. I can't lie. I can't lie. It's really cool to see, um, not current, you know, like the current shoes you would. You would expect, but like, to pull out an old school, you know, Ace. It was cool.
B
So I just have a question, though.
A
What's up?
B
So, like, how cool was it to have the first Adidas signature shoe?
A
It was surreal. I remember sitting in the room designing the shoe and the bottom of my first model of the Ace Commanders. It looks like you're stepping on Skittles on the bottom, so we have the sparks on the side of the shoe. I was really big on, like, being locked in, and so I really like the Velcro. Velcro strap across the top, so I always tied my shoes. And then I would, like, really tighten it to feel, like, fitted in. And then the bottom of the shoe, I had, like, Skittles. Like, I was stepping on Skittles because I was a huge Skittles eater. Even though I like it. My first pet was named Skittles, so I really like Skittles. Yep. A little guinea pig. Now you're Skittles. Yeah.
B
You were serious.
A
So I love telling stories with the shoes. I understand. And not to, you know, jump ahead, but I know we. We about to. We gonna.
B
Shh.
A
But we got the P.E. you.
B
You.
A
You design, and you've done a P.E. already with. So talk about that. What was that process like, figuring out the story that you wanted to tell?
B
Yeah, it was pretty dope. Honestly, like, I loved it. I feel like I always want to tell the story of, like, growing up on the islands and, like, what that.
A
Was like, island girl.
B
She's an island girl. I should really.
A
I should, like, wait. I'm waiting for an invite there you talking About Berlin. Okay, so talk about it. What? What?
B
And so I. The PE that I designed was based on home. And so, like, I have the blue for the water. There's some, like, orange for the sunset. Because water. We would. My sister and I would work out every Saturday on the outside courts at like, 6am so we'd always see the sunrise. I meant to say. And so we have, like, the sun coming up. And so, yeah, it was pretty dope. I have a little quote on the side of it that says, why are you dreaming so big? And it's just kind of crazy. So when we were young, so I had to be under 12, so probably like 10 or 11. And we're working out, and there's this guy that, like, walked past the court and he would see us every Saturday, and he was like, oh, you know, like, you know, what do you guys want to do? And I was like, oh, well, I want to go play Division 1 basketball. Like, I want to be in the WNBA and da, da, da. And I told him what school I wanted to go to, and he was like, well, what was that school? It doesn't matter.
A
I just want to know. Just inquiry.
B
It doesn't matter.
A
No, like, I just. The people want to know. Post it.
B
I mean, it was the University of Connecticut. I told you I was 10. Did you not listen to me? I told you I was 10.
A
Okay, keep going.
B
Okay, great. So then he was like, well, why are you. Why are you dreaming so big? You could go to a small school and shine? Like, why go. Why dream of, like, going to a big school and, like, where you would just fade into the background, basically? So ever since then, like, I've always remembered that because, like, what do you mean, why am I dreaming so big? Like, why wouldn't you dream so big? And so I've always kind of used that to fuel me. So I have that on my shoe on the P.E. so. Yeah.
A
And that is why haters are valuable. Sometimes people don't even know they're being haters, and they're minimizing hopes and dreams. But I guarantee he's probably doing the same thing that he was doing walking past you, trying to diminish your dreams. Listen. Look at her now.
B
Exactly. I wonder if he remembers that. Like, I feel like I should give him a pair.
A
I feel like you should give him a shout out. We should figure out his name and bring him on the show. Cause listen, he Inspired an entire P.E. in an instant.
B
Literally, an entire P.E.
A
An entire mantra. No, that's amazing. That's Amazing. Aaliyah, I think it is time to move to women's college basketball.
B
Let's do it.
A
All right. We're at the midpoint of the season now. Conference play is a little bit underway. We're. We're not halfway through conference play yet, but things are starting to kind of take shape. You've got the usual heavyweights looking like themselves. UConn, Texas, undefeated as well right now when we're filming.
B
Texas did just lose to lsu.
A
Oh, my gosh.
B
Yeah, Texas just lost. They just lost LSU by 5 points. Right now it just like currently 5 points.
A
Oh my gosh. When I looked, it wasn't, oh, five points.
B
They're no longer undefeated.
A
Well, it's good to lose sometimes, but LSU bouncing back after two straight SEC losses, losing to Kentucky and then following it up, losing it. Losing to Vanderbilt was crazy. And so to see them kind of bounce back, I'm sure they don't have a lot to say. They can play with anybody, man. It's a mindset. But you have players that, you know, came into the season with huge expectations and are living up to them. So this felt like the right moment to take a step back and hand out a mid season women's college basketball award. Who's your player of the year?
B
Ooh, this is so hard. So I don't know if I have a player of the year, but can we like give candidates.
A
Oh my gosh, you're so annoying.
B
Sure. Okay, so I really like Sarah Strong. Like, I love her. So she was definitely probably be like my number one. Um, Mikayla Blakes, she is hoopin. Um, I'm throwing my Gamecocks for sure. I think Joyce is having a great starts of the season. So I definitely put Joyce in there. Madison Booker, I mean, has been playing pretty well too. So those are like my 4.
A
I would agree with you. I would love to add in Easy Fudd just because I don't like being bored with greatness. And Sarah Strong and Easy Fud half the time aren't probably playing the minutes that they normally would because they're destroying everybody.
B
20 minutes and averaging like.
A
And they're averaging what they're averaging. And a big thing with Sarah Strong, a lot of the times when you look at her numbers, they're very similar to mine. Maya Moore, and for her to be only a sophomore and have kind of figured the game of basketball out playing the way that she's playing. Let's not get bored with greatness. Let's give credit where credit is due. And if you're on the number one team, and you're the number one player, and you're number one circled on everybody's scouting report, stopping. I don't see why they couldn't compete for player of the year. So those two are probably top player of the year. Defensive player of the year, I think is just a no brainer in Hannah Hidalgo.
B
I agree.
A
You look at the stat she stats that she put up against UNC, they beat them by 23 points, 31 points, 13 for 25 from the field, 8 rebounds, 7 steals, 6 assists.
B
Just a complete stat line. That is a complete stat line. I mean, Hannah, seriously, she's a menace on defense. So I agree with that.
A
And she plays hard every single possession. She's not taking a playoff. Despite Olivia Miles transferring and some of their players graduating and a lot of other players transferring, she stayed and she stayed loyal to Coach Ivy. And I think that that's huge in her continuing to play the way that she is capable of. So I definitely think Hannah is ballin on both ends of the floor. Two way player. So, freshman of the year, who is your freshman pick of the year?
B
Ooh, I think right now I definitely go with Jazzy. Like, I think she's continued to find her way with usc. I know they've taken some losses, but coming as a freshman and having to do as much as she does and kind of be that spotlight for them, I definitely have to give to her.
A
I would agree with you. I think just the idea that USC had was she was going to be playing beside juju. Yeah, juju. And being able to kind of learn your freshman year where all the spotlight isn't on you would have been a huge advantage, but she's making the most of it. And again, you know, they suffered a tough loss to Oregon earlier this week, but at the same time, I think she's growing and learning and. And figuring out the pace and how to get to her spots and stuff like that. So I. I agree with the Jazzy Davidson, but we got to give Lauren Whitaker some love out at Gonzaga as well.
B
100%.
A
Most improved. Who you got?
B
Ooh, is it bad if I ride for my Gamecocks? I think Joyce could get that too. I think Joyce is seriously having, like, just a tremendous sophomore season.
A
Okay. Yeah, I like it. Coach of the year, Coach Staley.
B
I don't care. I never cared. It doesn't matter who you're gonna put up against, man.
A
Speaking of Coach Staley, can we just talk about this for a second? How are you gonna bring Louis Vuitton Staley, door to the locker room.
B
I want you to.
A
I went to school on everyone's story.
B
And I said, excuse me, can someone save something for me?
A
So post ups. A booster agreed to buy one shoe that the women on the team picked out per player. So Coach Staley brought the Louis Vuitton store to the practice facility. And the young ladies, when they got out of practice, were able to go through and pick out one parachute.
B
And then they also had the option there was, like, bags and other stuff. If they wanted, they could just buy it right then and there.
A
Mind you, when I was in school, if I got an extra wing in my Papa John order, our compliance was like, where did you get that wing? Who bought it for you?
B
I want you to know, though, my first two years, that's exactly how it was for me, too. They were like, you can't go anywhere and get anything for free. You can't do that. Why would you say that?
A
That was all four years for me. And to be honest with you, my fiance played in the NBA, and he bought me a 750 BMW. And so I pulled up to campus and I got flagged by compliance. I was like, so people can't. Boyfriends can't buy them or fiance's can't buy them cars? You know how many questions I had to answer about that car? I had to turn in paperwork and all that stuff. I'm like, no, it's legit. There's no crazy. There's no connection to Tennessee. Sheldon went to Duke. He did not go to Tennessee. So me having a BMW on campus. I'm sorry, Boo Boo. If your fiance didn't buy you a BMW, that's your fault. Why am I in compliance?
B
You should. They need to level up. That's. That is their fault. That is their fault. You're right.
A
You got to give me your Final Four right now. Who do you think is going to make the funnel for. I know. South Carolina, blah, blah, blah.
B
South Carolina. UConn. Hear me out. I think UCLA is going to be in the Final Four. I think that's not a.
A
Hear me out. That's. They've lost one game, right?
B
Yeah, I think so. So UCLA, UConn, South Carolina, and I want to ride for my SEC. For real. But do I see.
A
Yeah, that's the question.
B
Jeez. I have three and a half.
A
Who's your half?
B
I'm, like split between. I'm like split between Texas and lsu. And I only say that because I really do think that either of them can be in The Final Four. It's just how you catch them. It's on the day that you catch them, it's like, because lsu, I mean, their guards do a great job, but if you match up with a team where their bigs are just dominating and it could be a really long night. But then if you aren't, if you can't guard Michaela Williams, you can't guard like it and they're on, it could be a very, very long night.
A
The only difference that I would say between those two would be that Texas's style of play is more tournament like, because the game is going to slow down. So therefore, if the game is going to slow down, there's going to be less possessions. I trust Texas more. That's true in the slowdown game because it's going to be physical. It's going to be defensively. LSU likes to get up and down, and when they play a team that tries to run with him, it's not going to be very successful. You always try to slow down lsu, Texas. I feel like it's easier to slow a team down than speed them up. And you can't speed up Texas. Like, Texas is going to take you till about 78 seconds in the shot clock. You got Rory Harmon. That's going to run the mess out of your offense. So I would give the nod if it's between those two, probably to Texas. But I don't disagree with your other three.
B
Yeah.
A
Although ucla, it is kind of, to me, I think it's Kiki. If Kiki, you know, can. No, I think Kiki is the X factor for them. I think if Kiki does a great job of getting to the paint is physical, you know, can play off ball a little bit. I think that they, you know, they're successful.
B
No, I agree. And I think too, like, it's. If their guards in general are hitting because teams are going to double Lauren, they're going to double. So Lauren's going to spray that ball.
A
And if they can hit, she's become a better passer.
B
It's. It's going to be. You can't. You can't double everyone or you're going to give up threes all night.
A
So couldn't agree with you more.
B
We'll see. Who do you have winning at all? What's your answer?
A
The normal answer would be, I mean, Yukon. The entire wheels would have to fall off the way KK Arnold's playing right now. AZ Fudd. I have their game against DePaul February 4th, which I am like, I Better bring out some backstories and some deep dot, like honestly, because that game is going to be like a 60 point blowout. I think with UConn it's whether they get bored and you don't ever, you know, in the NCAA tournament. So yeah, I think it's going to be difficult to beat them as much as I'm like saying that. But I got to respect it.
B
It's so funny, dude.
A
I gotta respect it. It's like the Bears, Packers, Tennessee, Yukon. I like each other. So those mid season basketball awards, we'll see. Let's see how that lines up with the national conversation. The Wooden Award, mid season top 25 watch list came out last Wednesday. Notables on there, obviously. Az Fudd, you got Joyce Edwards, your girl Michaela Williams, having a great season at lsu. Olivia Miles, tcu. I mean, just one of the best point guards. Yeah, she is going to be a steal in this upcoming draft. Rory Harmon, another great point guard. Jazzy Davidson, freshman on the list.
B
As expected.
A
Yeah. Janiyah Barker from Tennessee. Got to give some Tennessee love. Audi Crooks. So we've seen the watch list. 25 players that's on the watch list again. The Wooden Award is the most prestigious individual award in college basketball given annually to the most outstanding men's and women's basketball players. So girl, you've seen that twice. Ooh. Oh, you see them heels though?
B
Oh.
A
Oh. And my knee isn't like my knees aren't knock kneed yet because I haven't messed up my knees. Oh, wow. That's crazy. But my question is, why is. Why is the men's award bigger than the women's?
B
Yeah, that is.
A
Yeah, we got the right. We don't have to write that. No, I'm just kidding, kd. Of course I'll tell a story from this Wooden Award. So this is where I fell in love with Rick Barnes. He was a head coach at Texas and KD obviously was there. And the banquet for the Wooden awards is like long. It's every Wooden Award from like high school to it's coaches. It's like it's a long banquet. Well, you're sitting on a stage and as nominees you're like looking out at everybody eating. You're eating on stage while they're going through the awards. So I'm sitting next to Rick Barnes and we're getting bored, but it's like you can't really be on your phone because everybody's kind of looking at you.
B
Yeah.
A
And so we're just kind of like bored like, whatever. But there's like, pens for us to, like, keep track of who wins, I guess. I don't know. They just put pens and papers up there. So I look at him and he, like, slid me a piece of paper and he wanted to play like, tic tac toe and like the little square dot game where you have to, like, get the boxes. And I looked at him and he looked at me and I was like, man, he has the same level of ADHD that I have. Like, I can't focus. He can't focus. And together we became friends. And so then when he became coach at the University of Tennessee, it was like magic. So shout out to Rick Barnes. He's the greatest ever.
B
Period.
A
Okay, this is the week where that early January motivation starts to fade a little bit. How's your energy right now?
B
I'm not gonna lie, it's kind of up and down. The schedule is packed. At least the weather's nice. But it is getting dark kind of early. So I'm really just looking for the small things to help me feel a little bit more awake and yes, something besides my naps.
A
Same. And for me, fashion usually plays a role in that. When I feel good in what I'm wearing, it changes how I show up. Even on those non stop days.
B
Exactly. And that's what I like about Macy's. It's an easy place to find something new. Coats, layers, fun textures, different silhouettes. Macy's has all the pieces you need to make your wardrobe feel new again.
A
And staying warm doesn't mean giving up on style. You can play with color details or switch up your usual go to and it makes a big difference.
B
Even something small, like changing up your shoes or trying a different pair of jeans can totally change the vibe. So if you need a little winter style, pick me up. Macy's has all the right pieces to help you feel confident and put together again.
A
Shop now in store or@macy's.com.
B
All right, so this next segment, we're going to try something new. It's called Face Smash. So we're going to be given some face morphs combining two players, and we got to guess who they are. I'm kind of scared, but let's see how we do.
A
Oh, my goodness.
B
Oh, that's Asia and Fi.
A
Wait, how did you see Fi?
B
Do you not see Fi's eyes? Those are Fi's eyes. Are you kidding me? It's really her cheeks too, I think.
A
Wow, you're really good. I mean, Asia for sure.
B
Do you agree?
A
I agree. I I'm not gonna. Yeah, I'm not gonna nag.
B
Okay, let's see. Are we right?
A
Let's see who it is. Yo, you are good.
B
I knew it.
A
Her cheeks. Okay, now I see it's literally her cheeks. That's so crazy. And her teeth and.
B
Yeah.
A
Wow. That was. Okay. Good job, Aaliyah. That would have taken me a minute. All right, let's go with the next one. Oh, that's easy. Stewie and Sue.
B
Sue. That's pretty easy.
A
That's final answer. Yeah. Huh.
B
Yep.
A
There he goes.
B
That was good.
A
You guys are pretty good.
B
Post moves.
A
Oh, my gosh. And Chelsea, you got the 12 chain for sure.
B
Oh, that was good.
A
Why? Does that, like, really look like a WNBA player?
B
No, that's our final answer. Kai and Chelsea. That was good. That was so quick.
A
That one's a good one. Oh, my gosh. Caitlyn.
B
Sabrina.
A
Okay, I. Her hair. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Caitlyn and Sabrina. Final answer. Yo, we. Yo, we're a great team.
B
I was like, I'm, like, turning my neck. I'm like, yeah.
A
Yo, that was pretty good.
B
That was pretty good.
A
Paige.
B
Paige and Alana Smith. What? Does that not look like Al Smith?
A
But I just see Paige.
B
Let's see it.
A
Go back. Go back.
B
What?
A
Yo, there's no page and age.
B
Does that all look like Alana's?
A
Like, I was like, I don't see.
B
Alana, but I don't really agree with that one.
A
No, go back. I need to see it again. Oh, wow. So it's like, that was.
B
Whoever did that was crazy. Like, mouth. Yeah, it's Az's teeth.
A
Az's nose. Oh, wow, that's good.
B
That's scary.
A
That is. Have you ever done the little app where it's like, Stud buds.
B
That's a stud buds. That was actually. Could you imagine if Courtney's hair was like that? Stud buds. We're calling stud buds. Final answer.
A
That is everything.
B
Wow. Yo, yo, but low key. Like, no, that low key. Eight.
A
Like, all right.
B
I'm kind of still stuck on the page.
A
And a. Yo, Paige and a was wild.
B
Yeah.
A
That was crazy. Kelsey Plum and Lexi Hall.
B
Wow.
A
That is kb.
B
Damn. That was, like, really fast. Final answer.
A
Oh, Sophie Cunningham.
B
Wait, go back.
A
Dang it. I definitely thought it was Lexi Hall. I see Kelsey's eyes like, crazy.
B
I don't see Sophie.
A
Yeah, I don't see Sophie. I totally see Lexi Hall.
B
Honestly, I just see kp.
A
Yo, that's crazy.
B
Maybe it's her chin. Whose chin is that?
A
Okay, go back. One more time.
B
Okay.
A
It's Kelsey's mouth and her eyes, but it's.
B
But it has. It's Sophie's everything.
A
Yeah, Sophie's forehead and. Wow, that's really.
B
But it's definitely KP's eyebrows. Like. Yeah, those eyebrows slay.
A
You know, KP's eyebrows. Yeah, that's for sure.
B
All right.
A
Oh, my gosh.
B
Damn.
A
Dang. Okay.
B
But we're still doing good.
A
Definitely thought it was sexy. Yo, that's crazy. They literally.
B
They didn't even step in.
A
Becky. That is actually kind of crazy that you put their face faces together with half hair, half. But you know what? What? It's definitely Stephanie White's body because Becky's got the little zip up hoodie blazer.
B
Okay. But, like, their face is, like, very much proportionate.
A
It kind of looks like a real person.
B
Yeah. Okay. Slay.
A
AI, why is Becky scowling?
B
She smiles.
A
She always mad. Look at her. You know, Chelsea messed up on defense on that play right there. Oh, look at Stephanie. Stephanie's smiling through your crash house.
B
She's just happy. No, she's smiling literally, though, like, she's like, please.
A
But she has a double. Double. And she just. That's what Stephanie's saying. Yo, that's pretty good. Oh, my gosh. That's me and you.
B
Oh.
A
Do you think, yo, low key, like.
B
No, Ken is pretty. Okay. Face card.
A
Kind of cute.
B
Okay.
A
Face card. I like my necklace, literally.
B
Your eyebrows literally slay, though. And baby hairs this. Babe. I don't know if I really am in this.
A
You are in this. What are you talking about?
B
No, I don't really think so.
A
Yes, you are.
B
Okay. But it eats, though. Final answer.
A
I think it's Fire Slayer.
B
Your eyebrows, though. Eat down.
A
Yours eat down. Look at yours.
B
No, no, please. I need them to eat naturally. What? No, I need to go get them.
A
I love how they put the baby hairs on there. They put the baby hairs on there. Yo, that's amazing. I love it. Absolutely love it. We cute. We cuter. Whatever.
B
We are cute. We are cute.
A
We cute.
B
Soleil.
A
They put.
B
They just.
A
Oh, me in an Indiana Fever Jersey, period. Oh, man. Our high low would have been crazy.
B
I don't know why you didn't just come back one more year. Honestly. You can come out of retirement. It's free agency.
A
I leave that to Phillips. What's his name? Philip.
B
It's free agency.
A
Hey, what's his name? I just forgot it. Philip Rivers. Philip Rivers. I leave that to him. Yeah. No, thank you. No, thank you. These knees happy. My Back is happy. Everything is happy. Wow.
B
Good job, Candace. You slay. Wow.
A
This is crazy. You guys really killed it. I'm not gonna lie, though. Have you ever done face swap with your family?
B
No.
A
No.
B
Should do it.
A
Kind of crazy. My nephew and I are, like, identical. It's crazy. Like, you can't even tell. We face swapped.
B
Like, me and my aunt. Some of my aunts, we literally look alike.
A
Like, jeans are crazy, right? Like, back in the day when we didn't understand jeans, do you think people were just like.
B
But that's why you got to be careful you have kids with real. Because, like, them genetics, them recessive genes, they come through hard.
A
Have you ever seen somebody that has, like, a strong ass feature? And it's like, all of them are at dinner, and you're just sitting there, and you're like, look at him. Yeah.
B
Just like, that's your kid. That's why you have to be careful. You can't play around. Don't let the recessive genes come in. And.
A
Okay, so what's your. What's your family? Because, like, mine is, like, we don't have any room in between our eyebrows and our hairline. So, like, when my son Hart was born, my whole family came to visit, and we all did the, like, Parker, and then they. They did it to him, and they're like, yep, he's a Parker. So, like, that's our. That's our kind of thing. Do you guys have one?
B
I don't think we have one. We just. We just all really. Everyone, like, favors each other. I look like my. Yeah, we literally favor each other. It's kind of crazy, but I'm like.
A
And then it skips, too, because sometimes it's like you look like your grandma or.
B
Yes.
A
You look. Look back at pictures, and it's like, you look just like your great grand. Like, who you never met. It's wild. It's wild. Jeans are crazy. Yeah. I can't wait for you to have kids.
B
Be careful here. Okay. But, like, seriously, though, could you just not imagine, like, an Aaliyah running around? Like, would that not just seem like, wow, there's another one of her?
A
Like, so here's what I wanted to do, but neither of my partners would let me. I wanted a Junior. I'm like, why do dudes get to name their kids Junior?
B
So let me tell you.
A
I want a candace Nicole Parker Jr. And call her Jun Alisa.
B
Like, come on. Another Aaliyah would be so fire.
A
I think you should do it, because I was all for it if I have another girl. Her name will be. Well, her nickname. Her nickname will be Juni.
B
But I do think another Aaliyah would be Fire.
A
I think you should do it because you could do a Junior and then do, like, Juni or, like, some type. Type of nickname I think would be perfect. So let's make it happen, Captain.
B
Okay. Period.
A
Let's do it. All right, before we wrap things up, we got some fan questions. If you want to be featured on the show, keep sending them in. You can send DMS to the postmoose Instagram or leave it in the episode comment comments on YouTube. So, first, this is from @Face of Sports. How come every time I type Aaliyah on my iPhone, it autocorrects to A, A, L, I, Y, a H with two A's. Does anyone else run into this issue? Shaking my head?
B
Yeah. Honestly, I don't know why that happens. Maybe because Aaliyah, like, everyone typically spells Aaliyah with two A's because, you know the singer and everything. Yep.
A
Okay.
B
That's why.
A
What do you mean, you don't know?
B
No, I know. I'm saying I don't know. No, I know, but I'm just saying, like, rock boat. I'm like, please just spell. I hate. Actually, I'm glad we're on this topic. I hate when people spell my name with two A's. I just don't get it. Number one, you can Google it very easy. You can double check before you get to typing and posting. And I just like, come on. It's just one A, L, I, Y, a H. That's it. I don't know. I mean, you just have to keep erasing.
A
The second immediately changes.
B
Shit. Don't upset me right now. You just did that.
A
No.
B
You had to have just did that.
A
No, it's been in there. But, see, I have this thing where I don't change names. And so, like, Chelsea Gray is spelled wrong. It's spelled with an E as well as my.
B
Like, spell Chelsea Gray with an E.
A
I spell it with an A. But I. That's the first thing I put in my phone. So I just didn't change it. And it's like, my family friend who I've known forever. Her name is, like, Sam, and then in parentheses, it says Sparks, because that's where I know her from. And it's still in there. I do that, too.
B
Like, I save everyone's contact, like, as their job sometimes.
A
Yeah, but do you ever go back and correct it? Like, I put your name in there as Aaliyah Boston. And then now we're bringing this up. That's awkward. Face of sports. Thanks.
B
Well, you should go edit that now.
A
Should I change it? Okay, I will.
B
Hmm. Because honestly, I think that's anti black, but whatever. Next question from. D I T o Z A K725. I want to ask you this. Would you prefer to play in front of a toxic crowd and silence them or play in front of your home crowd and ignite them?
A
There's nothing like playing at home and having the fans behind you, but there is nothing like hitting a game winner at someone else's spot, the other team's court. So I think playing at home, yes, but hitting game winners, definitely away.
B
I agree.
A
Yeah, I agree. We have a question from Underscore. Only one. What is one place in the world you both have never been to and would love to. To visit?
B
Ooh, my friend and I were talking about Portugal. I've never been to Portugal. That might be nice.
A
Okay, well, definitely hit up Tisha Pinotero because she's like, the OG Original of Portugal. She is Miss Portugal. So make sure you hit her up for some. For some suggestions. I always love going places where people know, you know? So I would say I'm going to name something that is not anybody I know from that place, but I would say Bora Bora or Thailand.
B
Oh, oh. Add the Maldives to mine, too. I want to go to the Maldives so bad. Ooh, Maybe that's where I should go for my next trip.
A
Dude, do it.
B
Maldives. Just so pretty.
A
Yep, I'm with it.
B
All right, next question from asspeterson. Who has been your favorite person to play basketball with?
A
My favorite person to play basketball with. So, okay, I have two favorite teammates. It's pretty obvious I have two favorite teammates. Do you know those two favorite teammates?
B
I want you to tell the world.
A
But do you know them?
B
I feel like I do know them.
A
Okay, so who are they?
B
Chelsea Gray and Ka.
A
Yes. So the only reason why I will say I enjoyed playing with Kah more than Chelsea was because Chelsea was a baby. She was a rookie. You know, she grew up, but, like, she was still young in her game. She was not the Chelsea Gray of now. I think a lot of it had to do with, like, not unleashing that, but Kaj just, like, has this joy. And so I was playing with her at a different stage of her career, and that was when she was kind of, like, growing into her prime. Got finals, mvp, all that. So I would say it's those two. But seeing Kaa and being there for her to achieve all those things was probably my favorite.
B
So that's solid.
A
Yeah.
B
I'm also going with two. Can you guess who they are?
A
Uh, no.
B
Caitlyn and Kelsey. I love those girls right there.
A
I knew that. I knew that you could have.
B
I feel like you could have guessed that.
A
I. I knew that, but I. I knew that.
B
I feel like you could have. I feel.
A
I don't know why. I was thinking college, too.
B
Oh, I was just thinking.
A
Okay, you're right. You're right.
B
But you're a big girl now, Caitlin. Yeah, I am. I'm grown. I'm growing up. Caitlyn and Kelsey, those are my girls. Like, I love those two so freaking much. And I love playing with them. It's. It's crazy. So those are my two.
A
That's amazing. I love it. And to think that they're building around you guys. It's going to be fun to watch. So that's a wrap for this week's episode of Post Moves. Thanks for tuning in.
