Yo, Michigan.
B
Whoop.
A
Tennessee.
B
Michigan. Took the belt to. I mean, Michigan.
A
Chance. Michigan was literally the parent that was like, come here, come here. Just lay over my knee and just.
B
And then it was like, you got hit per word. Like, it wasn't even like, yeah.
A
It was like, don't you ever step on the court with us. But. But you know what? I would rather lose by 40.
B
Oh, my God.
A
And lose by one point.
B
Oh, my gosh.
A
Which is. I've lost my one point a lot in my career.
B
Team sent me into rotation.
A
What's up, everyone? And welcome back to Post Moves. I'm Candice Parker, here with my co host, Aaliyah Boston.

I missed you. I missed you.
B
I missed you too.
A
Did you?
B
I did. I was kind of jealous. Like, what you been up to, though?
A
Girl, I went to Hong Kong. Little business, little play. It was a lot of fun. A lot of fun.
B
I'm kind of jealous you didn't even invite me to school.
A
Listen, I invited you. You were too busy in, like, you know, Homeland and what? Just having a blast.
B
Everybody, tea. What?
A
Say with me, not the booty cheek.
B
Okay, I know. My mom was literally like, aaliyah, please don't. And I was like, girl, sometimes you just have to, man.
A
Yo, it's the leg up from me on the beach recliner. Chilling. Just living life.
B
Yes.
A
You know, it's so funny because again, I love reading the comments and all of our post moves, post ups, they're just great because they all know, you know, body tea. Body tea. Postmoose. Comments. It. I comment it. I just did the fire this time.
B
That's okay.
A
But you know whose comment that. I noticed I already know what you're
B
about to say,
A
so Cindy Coulson commented.
B
So unserious.
A
You out there with somebody or are you dating the tree? Because people want to know. You know, serious. There's been a lot of people that have dropped their dating rumors
B
because I had to apply. I was like, sid, you literally know I'm not dating anyone. Like, you literally know I'm single and she's playing around.
A
Well, we gotta go through Instagram.
B
The tree.
A
We gotta go through Instagram and see if that tree specifically is in any other Instagram posts and any other stories, Snapchat, everything.
B
Yeah, investigator. But trustedly, that tree is only on my post. You Know what I'm saying? That's only me.
A
Listen, I got people even in the Virgin Islands with binoculars and everything. So I'll get to the bottom of this. I'm. What you said.
B
What? Are you kidding me?
A
Okay. What's your. What's your meal though, when you're home? I know we talked about this, but what was your like.
B
What was your meal like? My grandma always makes me her chicken real soup, so that was like guaranteed. And then my mom made oxtails. Oh. And that was like. That was really good.
A
That's amazing. I feel like I travel to eat because legit in Hong Kong. I think they were surprised that we tried everything. Like, we literally tried everything. There was a chicken leg with the actual foot on it where I'm like eating the chicken leg with the foot. I didn't eat the foot, but it just had the foot attached. I'm all about trying everything now. There are limits. I don't eat pork. There are. There are limits of what I will try. But the food was amazing. They had this like thousand year old egg. It's called that. It's not really. At a thousand year old egg, we ate some bomb food, honestly. Drink some good bottles of wine. They brought out a 1986 Bordeaux for me for my birth year.
B
Oh, that's fancy.
A
Yeah, we had a great time in Hong Kong. Honestly, I had the best time. We went sightseeing. We went Art Basel. I did. I will send you some pictures. I'm not like a big travel poster while I'm traveling. No, I. I like to. I like to evaluate, figure out the landscape and then maybe like in a month I'll post and people remind me
B
to never travel with you. I'm serious. You're a planner.
A
Why? It's not for the gram. It's not for the gram?
B
No, it is for the gram. Stun. Stun on them. Like what?
A
Not for the gram.
B
You know what I did see on the Gram, though? Shams reported that you and a few others. Elena Dilladon, got Doc Rivers. Are some of the members inducted to the 2026 Class hall of Aim?
A
I can neither confirm nor deny.
B
Oh my God.
A
If that. That happened.
B
Not even trying to play or.
A
I'm just saying. The class will be unveiled this weekend at the final four. That's all I can say.
B
Okay, I guess.
A
But it would be unbelievable. It would be unbelievable if that was the case. So I'll keep amazing.
B
Don't worry.
A
Well, I head to Phoenix actually today, which is a day before this will release. And I'M really excited about, you know, seeing the final Force. I'm going to watch your Gamecocks play. Are you going to be there?
B
Yes, I am going to be there. Are you kidding me? It's my game.
A
I can't wait because I'm going to drop my kids. It's going to be babysitting Aaliyah. Aliyah's going to babysit.
B
Wait, wait. Let's start over. What do you mean?
A
The boys are coming and they want to see were having Auntie Ab.
B
Okay, you know what? That's fine. Turn up. Could still turn up with the kids.
A
You know what I'm saying? I think you would be cool with the youngest, but the middle one, that middle one's gonna give you a run for your money. You know what else I saw? I saw the McDonald's All American Game, which was also in Phoenix. 2026. McDonald's All American Game is actually happening today. It happened already, but it's being played, I guess, like recorded today, I don't know, on television. And I saw Olivia.
B
That was insane.
A
Olivia Edwards.
B
Her D was nasty. And then hanging on the rim is crazy. O period.
A
I love the fact that this is the evolution of basketball right here. You know, we've had Ashton Watkins be able to, you know, take it home.
B
Candace, you also dunked in the McDonald's All American game. What are you talking about? It really started with you because like what? Like what? Okay. Period. Bring that jersey. Turn up.
A
Yeah, ours was in Oklahoma City and did a little D brown cover the eyes. No, but I think it's just the evolution of where basketball is. Right. Look at Big baby. It's crazy. Our McDonald's All American Class. Look, Alexis Hornbuckle. Our McDonald's All American Classes was sick. Honestly, I put our class up against anybody. We had Dwight Howard, Sean Livingston, Sebastian Telfair, glen Davis. What? J.R. smith. Josh Smith. Like Mel Buckley we had. Or no, what's his name?
B
Mel.
A
Melvin. Dang. It wasn't Mel Buckley. But we had a bunch of players. So I put our class up against any McDonald's All American class, to be honest with you. And when I tell you that I'm just. I think to be in a McDonald's All American was a dream come true. So congratulations to the entire class and congrats to Olivia Edwards, man.
B
Yeah, that was.
A
Oh, dunk attempt. That was nice. I look forward for her wearing orange next year because, you know, that's what she's wearing. She wearing that next year.
B
Okay, cool.
A
Okay. I just got this from Zach and we're actually going to get your reaction to this. Did you hear about. South Carolina is officially launching a retroactive nil legacy fund to compensate former players who competed before nil rights, which is actually ridiculous because I'm actually telling Olivia to go to Tennessee. But Tennessee doesn't have a legacy fund. The initial tier payouts are asia. Wilson's getting 2.5 million, which actually pales in comparison to what she would have earned had she played four years. Nil. But it's a good little stipend. Aaliyah, 1.7 million. Can I borrow $5?
B
Wait, that's actually crazy. When did this. Wait, when my mom hears this?
A
No, like, Bleacher Report actually just tweeted this. But then also, Zach sent me this because he didn't want to tell you until we wanted to wait.
B
Someone should send me this. Wait.
A
So all. So all national champions that played on the national championship teams will get an additional $150,000 bonus. The compensation is based on accolades, championships, and program impact, which is making me actually want to use my last year of eligibility to play for the Gamecock.
B
That's not how it works. That's.
A
I actually am thinking about, because I do have another year.
B
Wait, but that's not. Well, then technically, I have another year. Wait. We could be teammates.
A
That's what I'm saying. Payments are expected to roll out this year, so are you gonna get your own phone plan now that you.
B
Wait.
A
Just got a lump sum payment of 1.7. Wait, now, okay, let's. Let's talk about taxes, because if you were living in California, it'd be a little bit rougher, but you're in Indianapolis, so therefore, you will get a lot of that $1.7 million. No, I think, by the way, next. Next year. Actually, not even next year. This summer, you're paying for dinner every time we go.
B
Wait, hold on. Hold on. Wait. What happened to, like. What happened to, like, the vet love
A
girl? Do you see Tennessee giving me $1.7 million? No, 10. Tennessee's not giving me that. South Carolina is rolling out this legacy fund. I hope you'll call up your SEC buddy and say, hey, listen, re. Raise the stakes. You guys raise the stakes? Are you kidding me?
B
Wait. That's so fire. I can't wait till my mom. Wait, what?
A
All right, we gotta move on, because
B
I'm not about to listen to this.
A
I'm not about to listen to.
B
I do. I do have my own phone plan. Once again, I pay the bills. So let's. Let's. Be serious here. Just want to ask.
A
I'm not gonna lie like, I'm seeing green right now. I'm a little jealous. You're seeing green because it's money. I'm seeing green because I'm jealous.
B
All right, well, it's time for our fresh take of the week, presented by Wendy's. Get yourself a $4 Biggie Bites, $6 Biggie Bag, or $8 Biggie Bundle now at Wendy's.
A
You're lucky I'm hungry because you're changing the subject.
B
You're lucky I'm hungry because I pay my home bill.
A
So listen, you just got $1.7 million.
B
Here is my hot take. I think that if you are on a flight, early morning flight, if you are sitting in the window, the window shade should be down. There should be no reason that I see light. That's when you go to bed. Are you kidding me? Like, are you serious? I was on a flight the other day, and it was like, crack of dawn. Okay? I just want to go to bed. Like, I brought Ozzy, so I put his blanket over him so I know he was good. I'm over here, hoodie up, and I see. I see light coming from the right side of me. So I'm like, oh, this must be a joke. She must be waiting for maybe the pilot to be like, oh, we're going up. No, no, we made it up. And the light was still shining. And then. And then. What does the woman behind me do sitting at the window? She opens up the shade. I'm sorry. The view looks the same. No, it does. No, it does. It does. I guarantee it's not your first time flying out of that airport. The view looks the same. Why is it 6:30 in the morning and I can see the sun? Are you genuinely serious? I started taking deep sighs. I was like.
A
Not deep sighs.
B
And then I turned around and I just looked. And she was, like, looking at me, and I was looking at her, and I looked at the window like, somebody please do something. So now I feel like I need to go invest in a sleep mask, because this is silly. It should be known that if it's 6am 6 to 8am the window should be sh. Honestly, it should be closed all the time. There's nothing you're looking at but the water and the clouds. I don't know. I.
A
Water and clouds. I think water you would look at, but clouds. I'm with you. I don't. Now for takeoff. Let's just make sure the plane is good, you know? Yes, sure.
B
But if we're up and you hear that little ding that's like, you're at the elevation. Close it. It's silly. Thank you.
A
I am actually 100% with you. That is one of my biggest pet peeves. Probably. First, honestly, to have your shade up.
B
That's nasty.
A
And then second is the people that watch the plane map all the way to the destination.
B
Because what are you gonna do? What are you looking at? Genuinely, what are you looking at?
A
On Hong Kong, when I was going to Hong Kong on the plane, there was a person that was like. I could see their screen diagonal from me, and it said, 13 hours and 27 minutes to destination. And they were just watching the plane. And I'm like, well, now this flight is going longer. So I think the window shade makes the flights go longer because you can't sleep.
B
You can't.
A
In the flight matches, there needs to be a pamphlet instead of just the exit row, which is another whole, because there's some people that sit in the exit row where I'm like, there's no way.
B
There's no way you're helping. There's no way you're helping.
A
You're not helping. You can't even help yourself. Exactly. There should be a pamphlet that people get. That's flight etiquette. When you get on the plane, and it should say, put your wind. Put your mop. Window shade down.
B
No, I'm with you. It's nasty because, like.
A
And if you have to go to the bathroom more than twice on a flight, don't sit in the window. No, please don't sit in the aisle.
B
Oh, my gosh. Like, why am I getting up three times? Stop drinking a drink. When they come and ask you what you want. Nothing. Go to bed. Bring a book. Close your eyes.
A
My other favorite part, though, is the fact that when you go to the airport with somebody and they don't have TSA PreCheck.
B
Oh, my gosh. I leave them.
A
I'd be like, I listen if my daughter didn't have TSA PreCheck.
B
No, I leave. There's nothing I can do.
A
Automatically. I would leave my daughter.
B
There's nothing I can do.
A
Regular line. There ain't no way I'm sitting in a line.
B
How early do you get to the airport, though?
A
Listen, I'm actually my. Don't ask me that.
B
I fear you.
A
Okay, so one time, actually, our agent Zach and myself, we had meetings in New York. We were flying out of jfk. We left our hotel. It was a weekend, so it wasn't like, terrible traffic. But it ended up being a little traffic. We left our hotel 56 minutes before our flight. And my rule is I don't. I don't run in airports. I'm not running. So like, if I'm not just. I'm not running. I'm not. This is not home alone. I'm not running through the airport. But we made our flight. I love pushing it. It just like gives me the adrenaline of about to play for like a national championship game.
B
Play about is the airport. I will get there and I will sit down. I bring enough stuff to keep me going. I will go to the lounge and sit down. Get me a snack. I am there in advance. I am there. Don't play. I don't play about Mississippi.
A
We can't fly.
B
No, we can't.
A
We can't fly together because I, I don't understand the point of sitting at the gate. What do you. If I don't get there when they're like, last call, Candace Parker. I'm mad.
B
I. I'm there when they say we're starting boarding first class. Ding. I'm there.
A
Oh, you see? Oh, you got your little 1.7. Now you really gonna be a first class. Okay, talk your. Talk your.
B
Candace, I've been peeping your necklaces lately. They are super cute girl.
A
Well, thank you. Okay, so this one is actually from my wife.
B
Oh, wait, I love that. Is that. That's silver.
A
It's a little key. It's nice little diamonds. Diamonds are a girl best friend.
B
Okay, so you're a silver girly.
A
Oh, I'm definitely a silver. But I like to mix it up, you know what I mean? I'll do a little gold every now and again. I like to add my pieces here and there because sometimes the accessory is the outfit. I can throw on a plain tee, layer some jewelry, and now it's just giving effort.
B
That's real. I think I'm more of a bag girl though. Like give me a soft leather boho bag, something a little slouchy, maybe suede for the spring. And I'm good. It just makes like a simple outfit completely put together.
A
Yeah, that relaxed, slouchy look is so in right now. And these east west style bags, they feel fresh and modern without trying too hard.
B
See, you don't need a whole new wardrobe, just the right accents to refresh it. It's about the details.
A
Exactly. And Macy's makes that part easy. Shop your accent pieces in store or@macy's.com Wendy's really outdid themselves with these new Biggie deals. At $4, $6, and $8, the new Biggie deals are bigger and biggier than ever.
B
I know what you're thinking. How could the Biggie get even bigger and better? These new Biggie deals are perfect because you get to choose between the $4 Biggie Bites, the the $6 Biggie Bag, or the $8 Biggie Bundle.
A
And if you're feeling something snacky, you can get that $4 Biggie Bites with a JBC and a four piece nugget.
B
Feeling something medium? Get yourself a $6 Biggie Bag with JBC, four piece nuggets, a small soft drink, and a Junior fry.
A
If you want to go full Biggie, you can get the $8 Biggie bundle with your choice of two sandwiches, a small soft drink, and a Junior fry.
B
The choice is yours for a pretty Biggie deal. Gotta be Wendy's. U.S. price and participations may vary. Single items at regular price. Prices may be higher in Alaska, California, and Hawaii.
A
These days, it's easy to sit back and just let life happen. You get comfortable and suddenly you're just moving on autopilot.
B
But drivers aren't like everyone else. They see and do things differently.
A
They live life by their own rules, and they certainly don't follow the crowd.
B
That's why this is a reminder for me from Volkswagen and from drivers everywhere to actually take control.
A
Make the most of every day. Take your own path, Grab the wheel,
B
get in the driver's seat of your own life.
A
Because honestly, what are you waiting for?
B
Head over to vw.com and see what's waiting for you.
A
All right, it's time for what we want to talk about.
B
Let's do it. Let's do it.
A
And we didn't get a chance to talk about this last week, but the WNBA and Players association finally agreed to a new CBA for 2026.
B
Hey.
A
For the first time in league history, the deal ties its salary system to revenue growth and is expected to offer $1 million salaries. This was a huge win. Obviously, there's no stoppage in time. Everything continues, obviously, at a faster pace because you got to get stuff done. But what was your initial reaction?
B
I was excited. I mean, I was pumped. I think this is a lot. It was honestly stressful as a player, as a rep. Like, I was sitting over there and I was like, okay, are we going to get this done? But honestly, our reps, they did great. They did a great job. I mean, everyone saw, like, them just sitting in the office for hours and hours and Hours and hours. So to be able to get this done, I think all the players are super happy. Obviously the money that we'll be bringing in is tremendous. So it, it truly is a blessing. It really is.
A
There are some key highlights of the new seven year CBA 20 revenue share, first true revenue share model in women's pro sports, which is a huge win and obviously the start of something great. Massive salary jumps. Rookie minimum went from 66,000 to 270,000.
B
Just bananas. That's.
A
Yeah, you're saying that's bananas. You know what I'm saying. Vet men is 78 to 300k and max salary went from 214,000 to super max 1.4, which would be insane. So the average salary projected around 600,000. The salary cap now starts at 7 million and it's up from 1.5. So if my Tennessee math says that's roughly six times, six and a half times full housing provided through the first three years of the deal, which I know was a huge. Yeah, that was definitely a big point of contention. 300 million committed to charter flights, health and wellness standards. 700,000 life insurance. I think WNBA players are getting treated like professional athletes. So what do you think is the biggest win?
B
Honestly, I have to look at it as a whole like this is a huge win overall. Yes, the money is tremendous. That is the biggest win that we can really take out of this. But I think the housing part is super important as well because looking for houses, looking for apartments for a season, you know, you never know how, how it comes with someone getting waived or, or something happening. So I think that is just such a great thing that we have. But also part of the deal also benefited retired players. So there is a one time recognition payment for those who played five or more years in the league. So if you played from 5 to 7, you get about 30,000 8 to 11 years, 50,000 12 plus years, 100k. So honestly, I feel like dinner should be on you, don't you think?
A
Actually, I will say yes, I do think because April Fools South Carolina is not giving you $1.7 million.
B
Wait, why would you do that?
A
April Fools is my favorite.
B
We're not even in it.
A
So I'll take care of dinner just because that face was worth it. Wait, you're not getting a pan.
B
Wait. I literally feel like I should. Are you kidding me?
A
I think you should. I just am saying it was an April Fool's day.
B
Well, honestly, that's why. That's why Tennessee's not dancing. So whatever. Anyways, Candace.
A
Sticks. I didn't need to take it there, but sticks and stones. But, yeah, I'll take care of dinner with my. Listen, I. I am.
B
She had thought about all the things
A
she was going to buy.
B
I was really excited. I was like, that's so nice of them.
A
Well, I know that this payment to me is actually true. It's not April Fools. So I do want to call the
B
league and tell them to tighten up. We should not make it. Like, we literally just.
A
You should keep it. That's what you're.
B
We're not even in April.
A
Well, listen, we are. When this podcast comes out. When this podcast comes out, it will be. But here's the thing. I am super grateful to all the players that came before me. I am super grateful for all the reps that have repped the wnbpa. And I think that this is a huge win. This was a building. This was a North Star. This was, I would say, in the works for a very, very, very, very long time. You know, I was obviously a part of the CBA in 2020 when it was the bubble season and everything was kind of up in the air, and previous CBAs before that. And so with that being said, I think that this is a huge win, and in no way, shape or form am I taking it lightly of how far we've come. And I say we because I do feel like we are. We all have had a part in where the game is right now. So I am excited about the WNBA season. I am going to be calling WBA games for Amazon, which I am hyped about. Hey, it'll be my first time ever calling a WNBA game. So I am excited to be in studio for that, to watch you work all summer.
B
So turn up.
A
Let's do it. Let's do it.
B
Did you see? So Lisa Leslie calculated that she would have earned about, like, $876,000 just in individual awards under this deal. So, you know, our producers, you know, they do their thing, and so they did some math on their own. And, Candace, you would have earned at least $774,000 in bonuses.
A
Yeah, that's crazy. But you know what?
B
You know, three time champion.
A
You know what's crazy? Honestly? And I say this, like, completely, like, man, would I have loved to play today. 100%. I would have loved to play forever. But like Steph Curry said when he signed that, you know, whatever $40 million contract, and everybody was going crazy. Like, I think the cream rises to the top. So I think, yeah, basketball in between the lines. Not going to get it. But you're gonna hear from me. You're gonna hear from me on the private equity and in the investments and all that stuff. So I'm gonna get that back twofold. So it's crazy. It's crazy the amount of zeros are behind, But I'm happy for y', all, man. Like, you don't have to work 700 jobs. Like, I had to work 700 jobs to make a living. So congrats on only having to work one.
B
Thank you so much.
A
The expansion draft, now that the CBA is done, is next up, and it is set for April 3rd, and it will send new players to the Toronto Tempo and Portland Fire, which is interesting because there aren't that many players that are under contract. So that's where things are going to get a little interesting. The current WNBA teams can protect up to five players. Others are available to be drafted, and there was a coin toss. Winner could choose between first pick in the expansion draft or the number six pick in the WNBA draft. The Tempo won the toss. And based on what I said earlier in that there aren't. You don't know who's going to be available. You might, as an expansion team, want to start young. And that's what the Tempo opted to do. They opted for the sixth pick in the WNBA draft, which means Portland will have the first pick of the expansion draft. So did you think they made the right decision? What do you think is more valuable? I mean, obviously, the Valkyrie did a great job of building, but I think
B
it was a little great job.
A
But there were a lot more players under contract. I think because of the CBA negotiations, a lot of players had their deal come up during. Yeah. During this time. And do you think you're going to be protected or you think you're going to be a Tempo? You think you're going to be part of this?
B
Cross fingers.
A
You think you're going to be protecting me?
B
Fingers crossed.
A
You're going to be a Portland Fire player next year.
B
It was actually kind of funny. So one time I went out to Portland for something, Adidas, and I was like, walking to go get, like, a bagel or breakfast or something, and some girl was like, oh, my gosh, Aaliyah. Like, what are you doing in Portland? I was like, oh, I'm just here for Adidas or something like that. She was like, oh, I thought you were a Portland Fire.
A
Don't speak it into existence because it might happen.
B
Oh, like, how did we get here?
A
Hey, listen, you better talk like no
B
I am a fever girl. I am a better.
A
Talk to Stephanie White. You know, you might not. You might not have done what she said in that play, that dribble handoff. You might have kept it and you should have given it away. And now you gonna end up being in the expansion draft. The Connecticut sun are being sold for a record 300 million dol to the Fertita. Fertita family. We're gonna go with Fertita, who also owned the Houston Rockets. Oh, I know them. I sat next to them in Houston when we called the game, I sat next to the sun. The team will play one final season in Connecticut. They'll play one final season in the Mohegan sun, which I, I love. When you all have to go to the Mohican sun for like a lot
B
of days, that's because it's just. You don't see the sun.
A
There's no sun. Exactly. I'm like, it's a lie. Why would you call it the Connecticut Sun? You never see the sun in Mohegan, son. I actually, that's the thing, that it's not the cba. It's not more money. It's actually, I am like mad that you guys don't have to go to Connecticut anymore.
B
You know what?
A
That's what I'm hating on people.
B
Everyone hates Mohegan. I actually, like, that's the closest my family can come to a game. It's like 40 minutes. So now, now there's no. There's no game for them to come to unless they come to Indiana or fly anywhere else. But it was nice to get a little 40 minute drive and I could go home and hang out. Especially if we were there for days.
A
Well, pretty soon you'll have a team in Philly, so that'll be a closer game, right? Is my geography way off?
B
Quite. I mean, like. Yes, closer, but still not.
A
Not close.
B
Yeah, like 45 minutes.
A
Okay. Well, they have one more year to go down that escalator with the waterfall and the Mohegan sun and wait at the line in the Starbucks and go to that club that's right there with the rocks.
B
Let me tell you though, Mo, he can. Got everything you need and they got a little ice cream. You want a little ice cream and get a little ice cream. They got everything.
A
Yeah, that's true. They had an ice cream that. That ice cream hits when you're on
B
your way back, I'm telling you.
A
Yeah, when you're on your way back,
B
I'm telling you, it's good.
A
Well, once they move, it's been said that they'll bring back the Houston Comets name, which I love because I grew up raising the roof with Cynthia Cooper, Tina Thompson and Cheryl Swoop. So the Comets were one of the original WNBA franchises and won four straight championships from 97 to 2000. So obviously, whenever we make an announcement like this, there's always controversy. There will actually be a higher. There actually was a higher 325 million dollar bid from a group that wanted to move the team to Boston. And there were also other ownership groups interested, including the one that would have kept the team in Connecticut or moved it to Hartford. It needed to move out of Connecticut. But if.
B
Honestly, I wouldn't have hated the Boston. I would not have.
A
I mean, you wouldn't have hated it for sure.
B
Yeah, but Boston's nice.
A
Yeah, that's what I'm saying. I. I lived in Boston for a year. I love it. But for them to turn down a $325 million bid to then move the team to Houston is actually very interesting. So on one hand, obviously happy for the players who get to play in a legit arena, and current facilities are some of the worst in the league. But on the flip side, I feel for the fans in Connecticut who have shown up to games. And I actually enjoyed like the 40 minute game there. I didn't enjoy the other. The other 23 hours and 20 minutes in the Mulligan sun. But the 40 minute games, they were fire. And the Fever released their schedule.
B
The fee.
A
Yeah. Did you see the video that they. You saw yourself?
B
I did. I do remember filming this.
A
Okay, you see the sneaks? I see the sneaks.
B
Oh, okay.
A
Little karaoke.
B
You know, we gotta get warm.
A
Okay. Yeah, get warm.
B
Season. Season starting.
A
Yo, you guys went in with the graphics. I see,
B
and I'm looking at the schedule, I'm like, yeah, you guys are. Hey, that's the.
A
You guys are playing for you. You guys are playing a lot of games.
B
Stop, please don't.
A
No, seriously, you guys are playing a lot of games.
B
No, we are.
A
I'm excited to pull up.
B
We have a nasty stretch, though. I'm trying to look at me. Looking at the schedule. At one point, I swear we go like Dallas, Chicago, Minnesota.
A
Oh, fever at Sparks, July 8th. I'm there.
B
Oh, turn up.
A
Sign me up. Sign me up. But there were some.
B
Literally, look at that. Fever versus the. Oh, that's at home. Never mind.
A
Yeah, I'm like, you guys are good. The fans of the Fever. The Fever, the Fever faithfuls. Wnba, Louvre said if this was just two minutes of them tying their shoes. I would still watch.
B
So.
A
Yeah, you got people excited.
B
No, they're.
A
They are.
B
I mean, I'm excited.
A
And you guys are playing 39 of your 44 games in NBA arenas. That's exciting. Very exciting. So should be amazing. But before we get to. We have a lot we want to talk about today. But before we get to all things women's sports, we have to give the men some love because they need our support.
B
Of course.
A
Men's March Madness Final Four Preview Arizona, Michigan. Yo. Michigan. Tennessee.
B
Michigan took the belt to. I mean, Michigan.
A
Michigan was literally the parent that was like, come here, come here. Just lay over my knee. And just.
B
And then it was like, you got hit per word. Like, it wasn't even like, yeah, it
A
was like, don't you ever step on court with us. But. But you know what? You know what? Well, the second matchup is Yukon, Illinois, which is going to be exciting, but I would rather lose by 40.
B
Oh, my God.
A
Than lose by one point.
B
Oh, my God.
A
Which is. Which is. I've lost my one point. A lot of my career sent me to rotation.
B
That.
A
That Yukon Duke game, the pain I felt. Over. It was over with two minutes left.
B
The ball too, though. You're at the end. You're not gonna get a 10 second violation even if you do like. Okay, you're. I'd like to see them call that. Just hold the ball. They're gonna foul. They're gonna jump you.
A
And Aaliyah is talking about Braylon Mullins, game winner to put Yukon up 73. 72 with point four.
B
Yeah. Point four.
A
I think they put 0.4 back on the clock. I think the tale of the game was the split screen between Carlos Boozer's reaction to the shot and Dan Hurley's mom's reaction to the shot. And that to me, is March Madness in full effect. A split screen. Because first of all, that shot was like 40ft.
B
Yeah. The confidence. The confidence. That's his thing. I know he does that.
A
Like, I don't doubt it sometimes, but sometimes you have confidence. Doesn't your percentage go up in late game situations because you know you have to take the shot.
B
Yeah.
A
Which doesn't make it any less, but I just feel like he knew walking into that. Didn't have that much time. He had to take the shot. And everybody's getting on Duke for not putting a hand up, which I think in that situation, it's like you're trying to react. You two are looking at this. You've seen 50 million replays. Yes, of course. But honestly, you're probably like, he's 40ft out.
B
Yeah. There's no way.
A
You're like, I don't want to foul. Like, make him make a tough shot. I just. Honestly, what's bad is, like, I associate so much and I. I'm gonna whisper this with the loser in that situation because I've lost so many games on last second shots.
B
I know that.
A
That I immediately felt.
B
You know what's kind of crazy? I won't even lie watching it. Dan Hurley is crazy. Him putting his head face to face with the ref was bananas. Could you honestly, though, could you imagine if a woman coach did that? Like, look at it. Like, look at him.
A
Look at him.
B
He just walks up and he's so funny. No, he's really so funny for that.
A
But the question that I have is, how do you do that as a coach and then tell your players to be smart in those situations because you
B
don't have a tech. You could have literally got attack.
A
You could have lost the game for your whole team.
B
But they're not gonna. They're not gonna tech him up.
A
But that's ridiculous because it should have been attack. Right? Like, you go put your touch someone else.
B
That was. Anyone else that cooked.
A
Do you know what I heard? I heard that ref isn't. Isn't roughing in the final four.
B
He probably isn't.
A
That's crazy.
B
Isn't. Because you needed to tech that man up. You got head butted and you just accepted it.
A
But it was like the way he walked off, too. Like, Dan Hurley walked off in his
B
jackets off his arms.
A
You know, I hate the Internet, but I love the Internet. No, I love the Internet, but I love the Internet. But also, I went to sleep the other night and I came downstairs and I was drinking my coffee and I looked at my daughter and was like, I bet no Duke player fell asleep. Like, I bet.
B
Yeah.
A
Like, how are you in situations like that? Because I know we've been in the situation.
B
No, terrible. Like, you can't go to sleep. You kind of just sit there like, thinking, like, there's no way that just happened. Like, there's.
A
You watch the game?
B
No. No. So when we lost and like, I was on the other end of missing the put back, I could not watch the game. I could not. I didn't even watch. Honestly. I didn't watch the rest of March Madness. I did not watch it because it was just one of those things where it's like, all I had to do was something different. And yes, that one play does not determine the entire game. I live with that because like there's so much that happens over the course of a game, but it's like when it's you, all you can think about is, wow, I should just did something different. Like if I did this differently, you can't. I can't watch. I can't watch the rest of March Madness. I can't watch anything.
A
Yeah, I'm with you. I think whenever I lose, I'm like the sorest loser ever.
B
Oh yeah.
A
Not like sore and like, you know, not gracious, but I think just in terms of like, I don't want to watch basketball.
B
Yeah.
A
I remember there used to be like a four day morning period where I would just lay in bed all day until like my daughter would open the door. This is wnba. And open the door and be like, mommy, you're gonna wake up today.
B
Like, I gotta get out of bed.
A
But yeah, I. I'm with you on that. It's like a thing that just sits in your stomach. That's like the worst thing ever. We had about 713 post ups sign up for our women's bracket challenge. Four people tied for first place. Shout out to RM Akizuma. Farm Ball sports picks four. Avery's pick and Momerka. Momerka 13's pick seven. So we had. Wow. And they all picked Yukon.
B
That's weird.
A
Well, how you feel about that?
B
So obviously that's not going to be
A
a great because you guys are playing UConn next game.
B
We are. We are.
A
Dang. And we are both in 453rd place. We like giving people.
B
Wait, what did we do so wrong?
A
Okay, but here's the thing. I think our picks are good. But honestly, Aaliyah, I was telling my family this. I would rather stand at the mountaintop by myself and be a winner then share it with a tie with five other people. Do you know what I mean? So I like picking because obviously you had to pick UConn to like still be in it. You know what I mean? You had to pick South Carolina. Like we could have picked the number one seeds to all go to the final four, but we like things interesting. You know what I mean? We like spontaneity. It gets the people going. It's basically the same final four as last year.
B
Yep. It literally is a different result, huh?
A
Yes, please. But honestly, I think we're in for some pretty good games. All number one teams, all number one seeds. Fifth time in NCAA history that that has happened
B
this entire season, I felt like it's been clear, like, these top four teams, like, even if they've dropped one or whatever, like, they were the top teams the entire season. So I am not shocked. I'm not surprised. So I'm just excited, like, this is going to be a really good Final Four. That's what I'm hoping.
A
I'm really excited about it. To watch good, quality basketball, obviously, it's bittersweet because you don't want the season to end, but I'm really excited to watch this weekend. Did you have any game that stuck out in your mind through the regional or through the first round that you watched? That was exciting.
B
Honestly, Duke. Duke played really well. I know they. They obviously just lost, but they were playing some really good basketball. I thought Nordain played some good basketball. Obviously, Hannah, like, went bananas, but I was. Anyone that wasn't the number one seed. I think Duke and Nordain were. Were pretty impressive.
A
Well, Duke battling back after, like, starting the season the way they started, I think that that talks about just that, how it's not how you start, it's how you finish. And looking at that team, it was a completely different team. I did their first couple games, and they did not look anything like they looked down the stretch.
B
Sure, I agree.
A
So obviously, you got to tip your hat to them. That shot, that Ashland Jackson, I think that's amazing. That was so Ashton Jackson hit. She hit off the catch and shoot right there.
B
That's nasty.
A
And that's.
B
And it went around.
A
And you know what's crazy? And this is what I always say, you know, and this is. It's a tough pill to swallow because I think, again, I'm associating with the losing team off the last second shot. I don't know what that says about me as an individual, but I'm like, man, I feel for lsu, but Flage, you know, ending her career like that, it's gotta be tough. But also, she has to understand she won a national championship. She did all these things, accomplished these things. But it was interesting just in terms of, like, what was made during the season of her not playing on Team USA and her having a lot to say to Kara and then ending that way. And so I always say, like, you're gonna talk it, you better be able to take it or back it up. And so, you know, that's. That's an interesting dynamic if you're talking in the regular season. You know what I mean? Yeah.
B
I mean, that was. That was just crazy. That ending was literally bananas.
A
It's nuts, man. It's nuts. The Naismith player of the year candidates were announced last week. Lauren Betts, Michaela Blakes, Az fuddy. Sarah Strong, teammates on the end. Who, who's your pick?
B
Honestly, I'm going Sarah Strong.
A
Yeah, let's move on because that's who's who it's going to be. I mean, she's been consistent all year. Although we can't does not damper the seasons that the other three have had. I think there's been remarkable. I mean, obviously what Michaela Blakes did in terms of averaging 30 against top five teams, which is ridiculous. Lauren Betts, what she's done for ucla, Az Foote, I think she's the. She's not on Sarah Strong's team. You know, maybe it's a case for. For her, but Sarah Strong has just been the most consistent, most dominant all year. So we'll see. We'll see who wins. It's time for our driver's seat moment of the week presented by Volkswagen where we spotlight someone who really took control this week and owned the moment and made it count. This week. There was no question who it was going to be. Hannah Hidalgo is in the driver's seat. She led Notre Dame to her first ever elite eight where they lost to Yukon 70 to 52. But not enough words for the unreal performance of Hannah Hidalgo versus Vanderbilt. Okay, are you ready for this step? Are you ready? Are you ready for stat line?
B
I'm ready.
A
I have never in my life. 31 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists and 10 steals.
B
That was nasty.
A
She almost had up quadruple but she got it with steals.
B
Yeah, that was impressive. And honestly, she made some passes to her teammates that were like wide open threes. I'm talking about she could have had a quadruple double. That's so scary. That is so scary.
A
She's only the second woman's player ever to record a 30 point triple double in the NCAA tournament. And that other was your current teammate
B
Caitlin Clark, period queen.
A
And watching her get all those steals was so fun. Like her tenacity that she plays with her energy, her effort. She's a competitor and she lets you hear about it and know about it. Every single play I tweeted, which I don't tweet that much. I'll be honest. I think it's been months since I've tweeted and I had to tweet. I have never in my life seen a stat line like Hannah Hidalgo.
B
Yeah, though she.
A
That was.
B
Yeah.
A
Something like I have never seen. So along with the fact that she also broke the NCAA single season steals record, she had 202 steals this season.
B
She is so impressive. She is so. I love watching her play. I love watching.
A
She is little. She is mighty.
B
Mighty. Yeah.
A
She is little and mighty.
B
Soda from your 100k that you're going to get from the W. Yay.
A
You owe me. Oh.
B
Oh.
A
Because you're not getting that. Okay, admit it. That was funny.
B
That was really good.
A
It was good. April Fools.
B
Don't worry, I'll be back.
A
Yeah, I know.
B
April's every month for me. Don't worry.
A
Yeah, I mean, you got me on the colston for like 0.2 seconds. And then I was like, no, Man, March is just different. I don't care how long I've been out of college, it still puts me right back there. The nerves, the excitement, the adrenaline, the last second shots, all of it. And that's honestly why the AT&T collab made so much sense to me. Because March Madness isn't just about basketball. It's about connection. And yeah, we're watching the games, but we're also texting non stop calling each other. Like, did you see that arguing in group chats, by the way? My parents went to Iowa. My nephew goes to Florida. So that was a fun matchup in the second round. The Gators lost, but it's fun. It's so much fun to be a part of the excitement of March Madness. And I'm not going to lie, what you see in the ad, that's really, truly me. I'm yelling at the TV like the players can hear me. I'm fully locked in supporting my team. I have fully gone from player to fanatic. Like, I am truly a fan. And now look, my Tennessee Lady Falls might not still be dancing, but that connection doesn't go anywhere. Once you've been a part of something like that, it stays with you. Whether you win, whether you lose, or whether you're trying to get back to the top, you're still showing up, still supporting, still feeling every moment right along with them. And that's what makes March special. It's not just about the games. It's sharing all of it. The reactions, the stress, the excitement with people right next to you and the ones you're reaching out. In those moments, everybody's in it together. At the end of the day, it's about those moments and the people you're connected to through all of it. And that's why when the connection matters, it has to be at And T.
B
All right, before we wrap things up, let's get into our AT&T fan connection. When the connection matters, it has to be att. Okay, first one isn't a question, but gotta give a shout out, shout out to Shannon, Ashley, Aaron, and Tanya. Our official post moves mathematicians. The other week we talked about Bam's 83 point game. They calculated the WNBA equivalent, and based on the difference in game length, a' R would need to drop about 69 points to match it.
A
So that's a mathematician I know.
B
That's pretty impressive.
A
That's, you know, she's definitely. She's definitely, you know, looking at that. So hopefully I'll be tuned in when she plays the Indiana Fever because I know she has a vendetta against the fever. So she might be dropping 69. She might be trying to drop 69 on Y', all, but yeah, 48 minute games in the NBA. 40 minute games if I. If carry the one. Yep. My math. Yep.
B
Tennessee, baby.
A
Yeah. 69 points. All right, the next question is at shoe thing. What is the extent of the mentee mentor relationship? Aaliyah, do you call Candace for advice before games or ask for feedback? And Candace, do you call Leah to give feedback or advice? Do you guys ever meet up to work on things together? The people want to know.
B
Yes, we FaceTime. Actually, that's our. That's our meetup. Even though Candace says she doesn't really like FaceTime.
A
Here we go.
B
We will FaceTime even at unrivaled. What was it before? What game was it or was it before a one on one matchup? We were literally like on the phone scouting.
A
Yeah, we were on the phone and you had to tell me. You were in the weight room. You were like, listen, Candace, that is. I know it's a curse when everyone that I talk to when they have me on speaker is always like canister because they know that I'm capable of saying whatever. So you definitely let me know there are other people around before my scouting report. But yes, we do talk all the time. We talk before the playoffs last year. Yeah, like, I enjoy talking. Talking to Aaliyah, talking hoops. But I'm. I'm super proud. Super proud.
B
Call her phone anytime.
A
Don't do that. You'll get declined.
B
Next question is from @Carmela Vivi3. Who's your dream 3 on 3 team?
A
My dream 3v3 team. So it would just be me and two other people. I'll throw a B on there. So. A B. Oh, I was gonna throw you online guard A guard that I would really, really, really like to play with that I never played with. Let's see. Because we need a guard. You also gotta mix defense and offense. That's a really good question. You know what? We don't need guards. They gotta guard us. I'm gonna say. I'm gonna say me, Maya Moore, and Aaliyah would give some people some fits.
B
Oh, slay.
A
We could switch.
B
I'll pick. I'm picking you two, but I'm gonna pick four people because you always need a sub, so it's gonna be so.
A
Really? You're not picking me is what you're saying.
B
No, I am.
A
No, you're not. If you're picking for, you could only pick three.
B
No, you can pick four. Nope. This is our podcast, Candace. We can do whatever we want.
A
I'm telling you, the. Don't try to. That's crazy. You weren't going to pick me.
B
I. I was going to pick you. I was going to pick four, regardless. You're lucky I shouldn't pick six. I think it'll go me, you, Caitlyn, and then our bonus is going to be Alicia Gray.
A
I don't want a token pick. I'm so.
B
You weren't the token.
A
No, I feel like I'm token le.
B
Wow,
A
that's crazy. That's crazy.
B
She was. But, like, imagine her coming off the, like. What? She's about to tear them up. She is so good at three out there. Are you kidding me?
A
Yo, that would be actually kind of crazy. Me, you, and Kaylin.
B
I know.
A
That would actually be nuts. I mean, like, even right now, that would be nuts. I would just be chilling, just letting y' all just do your thing. Not moving at all. No cuts.
B
Just.
A
Just all about that. But that is actually an excellent way to end this week. We've had a lot to say. And that's a wrap on this week's episode of Post Moves. Thanks for tuning in. B
Bow, Bow, Bow. I had to whisper ASMR because my dog's sleeping and I don't want to. Okay, well, he's up, so. Bow, Bow, Bow.
A
You woke Splashy up. Oh, he's so cute. Oh, you're pressing.
