
After repeated Iranian missile attacks on military bases and civilian infrastructure across the Persian Gulf, several Gulf countries have called for international support to boost the regions defence capabilities. It's a call Australia has answered, with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announcing yesterdat that Australia would send a military aircraft and 85 ADF personnel to the United Arab Emirates to assist in the defence of Gulf nations that have been attacked by Iran.
