This was a great discussion with Gavin about the book he wrote about his life and hip hop career that was a huge phenomenon and was turned into an impressive movie directed by James McAvoy. We discuss the behind the scenes of the movie and the crazy adventure of his journey as a musician right up to what he is doing now. There is more to this story than just the movie and the Netflix documentary: Gavins tough upbringing moving from South Africa to Scotland, the obstacles he faced in his life and in making this project come to fruition and how he found confidence in the creativity of hip hop and what it led to.We had a blast as Gavin is a great hang, full of amusing anecdotes, authentic storytelling (which is a testament to his resilience and creativity) and unwavering honesty through some difficult situations. We know you are going to love this episode, enjoy.

Isa and Sydney, college roomies turned podcast hosts, share their journey of discussing romance, fantasy, and everything in between. Despite now living in different states, their bond remains strong. They dive deep into the world of romantic stories, and you can feel the excitement in their voices as they chat about their favourite books and movies. We talk through the difference between smut and spicy content, healthy relationships and the motives of some storytellers as well as Disney and Happily Ever After.

Our new format: Movie News, followed by Movie Reviews of 2 Horror films and then we vote for which we preferred, ending with a fun fact and a poem by Tales Of The Nook (Drew). This week we have guests Kate & Tarryn who have seen both the films with Kev and have enjoyed jumping out of their skin watching them. We discuss both in detail to decide which films sink or swim.

Michaela shares her journey from a competitive tennis player to a thoughtful media creator. She realised that being constantly online dilutes creativity and authenticity. Instead of chasing likes, she focuses on quality content that resonates with her audience. With a degree in media and communication, she has spent the last year creating insightful reviews that resonate with audiences. We have a fun chat also discussing computer games, James Bond and recent films that have stayed with us.
