April wrapped up the month with tremendous action for many weight classes. So seven weight steers in particular surged in the month of April, posting the second highest weighted average in US history at 399.87, just shy of the 404.68 mark set earlier in the month. The all time top 107 weight steer weighted averages continue to be dominated by recent trade. April alone accounted for seven of those top averages with February holding the other three. That kind of concentration shows how quickly this market has accelerated through the spring with multiple sessions pushing into record territory in only a matter of weeks. Atkinson Livestock Market in Atkinson, Nebraska hosted a special feeder calf auction on Tuesday that delivered exceptional results, setting 17 steer records and establishing new all time highs across multiple weight classes. A group of 40 head averaging 335 brought 70250, marking a new barn record for three weights in the first ten head plus sale ever over seven bucks. Now in the four weight category, 28 head of 400 and eight steers sold for 611, a new record and the only second sale over six dollars in the barn history. Six weight steers also set new highs with six to six thousand two weight cattle bringing 497 and 482.50. And now good luck to Beck and I trying to buy those grass calves and that is your ranch. It up. Heard it here weekly. Recap the full program this weekend the
