Now heading to Green City, Missouri where Green City Livestock Marketing hosted its annual Beef Barbecue Customer Appreciation event with a powerhouse two days sale that drew intense buyer demand and showcased top tier cattle now widely regarded as one of the most exceptional sales in the barn's history. The event shattered records at every level, posting 35 all time barn records, 13 new Missouri state high records and four national benchmarks. On July 2, 11 head of 615 pound calves sold for 425, making the highest six weight steer price ever recorded in US history. The same day 39 head of 705 weight steers brought 369. That's the third highest price nationally for seven weight steers.
